Jeez, looks like you're stuck with me again. Quite the coincidence. It's almost like the fates are bringing us together for some reason. Or I could be just talking out of my ass, who knows. Well, you've got yourself quite the nice little party going on here. You have Trubbish and Swirl taking down this weird happy looking bag thing, and you have Steel teaching another Skarmory the ropes. Oh, and your pearl is done, so that's pretty awesome. Yes, things look mighty fine around here.

Swirl barely needed to blast out another two Scalds. The first knocked the bag back, but it was Biding its time. Unfortunately it didn't get a chance to release that energy, because it dropped to the ground for good after a second Scald. Trubbish, not wanting to feel left out, shot a Sludge Bomb at the unconscious Trikurtreet anyway, just for kicks. Aww, isn't that cute? Your Pokeball sailed through the air and nabbed that thing right up. Upon further inspection the item it held was none other than an Evolite! That's a pretty damn weird rock there, increasing the defensive abilities of any Pokemon that can evolve but hasn't. Huh, neat.

Battle Results

Well that's a nice little gift to you, isn't it? Moving on to the tutors, we have Skarmory trying out Steel Wing. He had a good foundation, and took some time to gather the steel energy. Unlike Swords Dance, this came a bit more naturally (I mean he IS made of steel). He took off after using a Swords Dance and slashed up a nice looking gash in a tree. Still, it took him a little time to gather the energy and his form was a tad sloppy. He should work on it some more, but he's almost got it.

:skarmory Steel Wing: 80%

So, what now? Keep Trikurtreet on you, or deposit him in the PC? Will you retrieve some of your other Pokemon and go adventuring, or maybe stay in town and see the sights? Perhaps get to know a new team so you can cultivate a wide variety of Pokemon? The world's your Cloyster, kid. Go nuts!

A breeze of relief came, silencing the field. The hideous pokemon was gone, captured, and the item was extracted. The boy took it in his hand and examined it. Something like this looked rare, interesting, and intriguing. When it came down to it, Kaz wasn't a big user of items. He had only come into a fortune of items to power up pokemon because of certain events through his recent month staying in Millenia. As it brought him good fortune, what else would be next? He wanted to be done with tutoring and go on to adventure, excitement, and thrill. Something new, of course.

The battle was over, the pokemon in his pokeballs. The only thing left was tutoring. The sun was bright, shining in the boy's eyes making them look like they had this light, metal look. A lot of people had commented on how they look in the sun, and ironically, the pokemon he was tutoring were steel. Close enough to metal, duh. Skarmory had nearly performed a solid Steel Wing.

"Almost!" A smile had been present on his face the entire time watching the baby steel bird do his job of the tutor. It was down to the last part, and how could he not complete it. Kaz scratched under the bird's chin, though he only felt the smooth metal. "Try using Steel Wing without the bonus from Swords Dance, once it wears off. Put all the power into it. You have what it takes, but just need to put it all together." A soft spoken comment to finish off a, pretty east, tutor.

You're almost done the tutoring. It looks like Skarmory is getting the hang of Steel Wing, and just needs a bit of practice. He took off, waited for Swords Dance to wear off, and focused on his steel energy. He focused it into his wingtips and dove at the tree. SHLING! He slashed that thing clean in half! I mean it helped that he had already weakened it and it wasn't a very large tree to begin with, but still! Looks like he's mastered Steel Wing!

:skarmory Steel Wing: 100%

Well, what now? You've got a whole world to explore, so why not get started! You could travel to Kijutsu, or perhaps the Joukai Pass. Or maybe if you're feeling really adventurous you could hit up Duijok Swamp to the northwest. The word is full of possibilities! Hey, look over there. I think I see some puppies playing! A cute little Lillipup and an Electrike came right up to you! They must be wild, straying too close to town from one of the surrounding routes. Aww, they were adorable! But wait, what's this? Suddenly your pockets felt a little lighter than usual. What gives?

WHAT!? Someone or something stole some of your Pokeballs right out from your pocket! You suddenly saw a Croagunk running away with a stash of Pokeballs in his arms. As soon as he was gone the two dogs dashed away as well. It was all a setup! What're you going to do? It looks like they ran towards Route 4. I don't think they'll get very far, so you should have some time to maybe go to the Pokemon Centre and rearrange your team should you wish to, but I wouldn't take too long. After all, the culprits are getting away!

The whole tutoring thing came to an end with a magnificent finish! The stranger's Skarmory was doing good and performed a perfect Steel Wing. The last of two moves assigned, and now the bird can go back. It was a delightful visit, a good time to spend with pokemon, but all things came to an end. As Kazuki was about to bring out the pokeball, something caught his eye. It drew his attention away from the bird and onto the newly appeared puppies. Skarmory seemed to make a noise, but the cuteness of the Lillipup and Electrike. Of course, the Skarmory was not pleased with this, being tired and eager to rest up. He remained as calm as he could, staying to the side tending to himself.

"Aren't you guys adorable!" Kaz seemed like a little girl admiring cute animals. To him, the Lillipup was a new pokemon and a new entry to his Poketech. The Electrike, well, he thought he had fought one but eagerly took down information in case. Both were alright, but nothing special to Kazuki's team. A second later and the boy felt strange.

Weight seemed to be lifted off him, but not a stressful kind of weight but actual weight. A quick vision of a Croagunk taking off with four pokeballs. The boy flipped, he began to get angry and move towards the pokemon once realizing the setup. It was no use, they were gone. With a Shellder tired from making a Big Pearl and a stranger's Skarmory, there was no hope at all for using them to get back what was once his. Neither seemed strong enough to fight the pups and the frog, according to the Poketech.

Kaz took to the Pokemon Center. Trying to remain calm and figure things out seemed like such a difficult task. The two pokemon he had left the area with were now in pokeballs, and in danger if the sneaky frog had been around. To be nice, and safe, Kaz put the pokeball containing Skarmory through the works to return it to it's original Trainer. It felt horrible to end their time together like so, but very necessary to protect it. Shellder was low on energy when dealing with his production. The great orb had an excellent shine to it as it sat in the backpack. No good was it at getting the pokemon back. This time, Kaz wanted to use force.

"I need a team. Let's see. Nidoking. Flaaffy. Ghastly. Sneel. Krabby. Geodude. Ves--no. Quilava. And Croagunk." Those were the options, and as he read them out loud he seemed to be a little discouraged. He didn't want the Croagunk, or the bee's queen. Maybe not even the Sneel right now. But he'd like to train the others and this was just not the fight. He took out Nidoking and Flaaffy and Quilava. Each would be assigned to a pokemon in the woods, each with their own victories.

Setting back out, the boy looked for a, what seemed too long, hour trying to spot the Croagunk and pups. At one point, he thought he saw their silhouettes but when he checked they were nothing close to the pokemon. He had to find them. His Poliwag, and Trubbish, and Skarmory, and even the ugly pokemon. The latter was of no importance.

Where were they!?

(Note that Kazuki thinks that the pokeballs stolen had his pokemon in them and that only Skarmory and Shellder were out at the time and couldn't be stolen. After talking to Jsol, they were meant to be empty pokeballs. The mistake is unknown to Kazuki and is the driving force behind his actions now.)

Bulbasaur Egg — [15/15] Hatched!
Well now. Wasn't this kind of an embarrassingly large amount of derp, even for you Kaz? I mean, c'mon. The little poisonous toad had stolen empty pokéballs. If you had even bothered checking the ones you had, wouldn't you have noticed that? Or even at the PC, if you had tried withdrawing a few more it would have prevented you and said you were at your limit, right? Well, whatever. I will admit, seeing how you react in this situation will certainly be more interesting.

Searching, searching, searching... Thats basically all you were doing, huh? Makes sense, you can't beat them to a pulp if you don't know where they are. Let's see if I can expedite this process though, eh? To start with, I'll send you right in the direction they took off to, and then point out little bits of leftover food speckled along the trail by a nearby rock formation. What could that mean? You guessed it! You were on to something. Walking around to the other side of it, you notice a small little enclosure. Why, it seemed like this giant rock was acting like a small home or shelter to a group of pokémon.

Peaking inside, you didn't see anything. But what you did see, was a stray pokéball laying around inside. Obviously thinking this was yours, you stepped inside and picked it up. Of course, you'd find that it was completely empty, but I wonder if you'll connect that to the fact they stole empty ones or not. There didn't seem to be anything else around, so you stepped back outside. You found yourself face to face with the adorable Lillipup who was now growling at you fairly ferociously. It didn't seem pleased that you had trespassed into his home, or claimed one of your items back. Looks like you had a fight on your hands, Professor Derpington.

What would you do?

The search seemed longer then what it maybe was. All that was on the mind was Poliwag, Trubbish, and Skarmory. He could barely care less for the bag pokemon. As mean as that sounded, that is. Going through a lot of stuff to find this trio, Kaz finally felt something from a mysterious egg he had been carrying. It wasn't that mysterious because he was told it was a Bulbasaur. Ringo and his Ivysaur had gifted this baby to him, a nice reward for helping his girlfriend through the forest. It was where he met the queen bee and a big group of beedrill. The egg had shaken up before finally hatching in his arms. The boy shook off the egg shells and held the baby pokemon in his arms, waiting and watching for it to wake up.

"Bulba!" It said, smiling up at Kazuki. Being the first thing he seen, maybe he'd think of Kaz as his dad. Which as the boy thought of it, that might not be the best. The baby positioned himself in the arms where he was watching the front and the flower was digging in Kaz's stomach.

The search resumed as Kaz introduced himself to the Bulbasaur. The name rolled off his tongue as if he was saying 'Bubbasaur', which got him a little upset every time he pronounced it. But since he couldn't seem to say it right, the trainer ultimately nicknamed the Bulbasaur, Bubba. The new addition to the team would be cared for and help along with the search. It yelled out, trying to find the pokemon.

Suddenly, Kazuki's fortune flipped. From losing them to finding one of the trio. The youngest looking of the group was Lillipup who now sat in front of him. He wasn't happy and wasn't about to play around. Kaz gripped a pokeball and tossed it out. Quilava seemed to appear from the forming light and flames flared to express his excitement.

"Quilava, let's not go nice on this pup. That is all he is but a crook. Use Flame Wheel three times, and make sure to hit it. No mercy this time."

Quilava seemed to like the idea of no holding back, bigger flames erupting from his back and head before starting.

Come one, come all! Bear witness to the famously rare creature, Herp Derpington! As a treat for you all, we find him in his natural habitat in one of his many forms as a Pokémon Trainer! In this little scenario for you all, we see him furiously searching for the lot of pokéballs that had been viciously stolen from him by an adorably evil trio of wild pokémon. Laugh and jeer at his obliviousness as he fails to realize that mere empty items had been taken from him, rather than part of his gloriously derpy team!

Phew. Alright, enough with the mean announcer skit. I'm bored of it now. Getting onto the serious side of things, you had finally encountered one of the thieves! Not wanting to waste any time, you proceeded to send out your beautiful Cinder. Judging from the amount of flames venting from her skin, she seemed more than ready for a beat down. With your orders issued, she leapt into action! Encasing herself in a coat of flames, she dove forward and collided head on with the enemy Lillipup!

Apparently, Lillipup's fierce demeanor at your trespassing was nothing more than a show, if one looked at the sheer amount of terror on the poor pup's face now. Yet he was still soooo adorable~! Oh and fancy that! You nailed a powerful critical-hit!! That had done a devastatingly large amount of damage, and the poor puppy was so terrified and in pain that he didn't even try to fight back. It didn't take long for the rest of your attacks to simply overwhelm him entirely.

...

So, yeah. The future battles won't be as easy, so don't count on that happening again. Before you knew it, something small and dog-like landed on your head! What the hell? It seemed like Electrike came back just in time to see you take down his companion, so he decided to jump on you from the top of their rock formation home thing! You'd probably have gotten a scratch or two, perhaps even a little bit of a shock from the rough treatment. After a few minutes of sheer fright on your part, Electrike was safely away from your face and incapable of biting it off or something.

For now, anyway. He didn't seem to have any of your pokéballs on him, but still! Time for another beat down?

Quilava used his moves in succession that ensured a quick, quick victory. The Lillipup stood no chance. It was a little interesting, as the boy had never seen a pokemon like it. With the pokedex information taken, it wasn't as if Kaz needed it. He let it rest in the spot he fainted it, moving on. Before he could, something had hit him in the head, hard. It felt like a rock, but it seemed to have sent an electrical shock throughout his body. It was swift, heavy, and nearly crippled him to his knees. The object was no rock, though, as it was the Electrike from before. The green and yellow canine seemed to have leaped for him, interrupting the future praise by Kaz to Quilava. In which Quilava would have enjoyed it, so now he was angry.

"Quil!" It yelled out. The Electrike had been off of Kazuki, but the battle was in their disadvantage. The fire type seemed to keep a keen eye out for the canine, flames erupting to bigger patterns. His trainer had been crouched over, trying to recover. "Quil! Quilava!" The pokemon knew something was wrong, so he was trying to take over. He would try to do the same combo for Electrike as he did for Lillipup, and why not? It worked quickly before. A triple Flame Wheel, or at least two. It was all the fire type could do.

Off to the side, Kaz really seemed hurt. The electric shock had taken a lot out of him, zapping his head and instantly giving him a pounding headache. It felt as if he wanted to yell, but couldn't. The pain was too much, and he could barely focus in order to hear Quilava. As worried as he was, Kaz knew the fire type was his only chance right now to fight the violent electric type. Oh, how he wish he could give orders. He might've switched things up. Wait until he is better, Kaz was going to be fuming.

Things were not looking good for you were they? Stolen pokeballs, being hit on the head by wild pokemon, good thing your Quilava seemed ready for this. The fire type was raring to defend you. Wasn't that cute? It was certainly brave too, on your pokemons half, rarely seen.

She didn't need you to advise her on what to do, because she was so angry, and it seemed you were so hurt that you were incapable of doing so. Cinder engulfed herself in fierce flames and darted towards the Electrike, hitting it hard. She didn't stop there, and she didn't give him a chance to recover either, coming straight back round almost in the same fashion as a Rollout and striking into the pup again.

This, unfortunately, was as far as your Quilava got. Now, Electrike was ready to come back. The wild pokemon let off a thunder wave, shocking your fire type and stopping her in her tracks. This then let Electrike get in a sweet stricken Spark attack. He began to tingle with electricity and darted in, striking your pokemon hard. It was quite a battle to watch, Spark and Flame Wheel were basically their type equivilant of the other.

Due to the paralysis, Quilava was unable to pull off a third attack this round.

His head seemed to still ring with an annoying vibration. Was it a vibration? His head seemed to throb as well, making it difficult to focus. It felt like a lot of weight was dropped on him, plus a little bit of a shock to the head only equaled bad news. Kaz knew that he was in pain and in a few minutes it seemed to overwhelm his body. Maybe he needed to go through some weird shock therapy so that he could get used to this. You know, if he is going to make it out of this in one piece. Even with his head pounding, as if a group of Jigglypuff were there, Kaz was able to peek at the battle taking place. Quliava seemed to be doing good, though the Electrike had seemed stronger then the Lillipup by far.

"Quil.." Talking took too much energy from him. His head pulsed with pain that nearly crippled him to the ground. He had to refrain from talking, and hope purely on Quilava's instincts. A worried and sorrow feeling swept over him as he was the Trainer and he couldn't even give commands out. But he was sure that somewhere Quilava was doing fine.

As for the fire type, she was doing fine. Cinder had dropped the Electrike's energy or status down a notch, but then it countered with giving her a paralysis that would surely make for a nasty time. When she heard the bit of her name from Kaz, the pokemon turned and witnessed how much pain he was in. She couldn't give up, but she couldn't look away. She knew what she had to do and that was keep attacking with Flame Wheel, and once again she had three in her mind.

In My Little White Room Again
Millenia Town; Open Field
[Chasing Down Croagunk]

You fell to your knees. The throbbing in your head was almost too much to bare; you could feel your own heart pounding in your ears as your limbs began to shake uncontrollably. Nausea began to swell against your temples as a thick glob settled in your throat. You felt horribly, utterly sick. You tried to muster the words to give Cinder her commanders, but your tongue was numb and limply set in your mouth as your lips moved to form the words. Your vision began to go into a blur, only to come back into focus a few seconds later before it was taken away again. Oh the helplessness you must have felt..but luckily for you, you were not alone. Your Quilava looked over her shoulder to you, knowing that you wouldn't be able to give her exact commands --she knew that this was all up to her now. Mumbling to herself, the little creature nodded, then glared over towards the Electrike which was cackling mischievously.

Cinder charged the mutt as an orb of flames engulfed her body. The orb rolled around her like a wheel in motion as she ran, growing hotter and getting stronger with each step she took. Two feet away from the electrical mutt, your Quilava jumped up into the air and fell down into the Electrike with a flying tackle. The two of them rolled over each other and even rolled backwards across the field. When the commotion and fire settled, it was clear that Quilava had managed to pin the Electrike to the ground. Cinder quickly called up the fire once more to engulf her body, which was when she threw her head down against the mutt's skull with a headbutt like version of Flame Wheel. The attack caused the dog to whimper, but quickly she managed to refocus and gaze up to the Quilava. Pulling her head and body backwards, she gained momentum and threw herself forwards with an awkward looking Tackle. Luckily for Electrike, it was enough force to throw the Quilava off of her.

Stumbling backwards, Cinder tried to pull herself together. That was when she noticed that the hound had not yet finished. The Electrike was darting towards her with amazing speed, then lowered her head when she was a few feet away. Despite the paralysis that controlled her body, Cinder managed to summon a third Flame Wheel attack which she then charged right back at the Electrike with. A loud smash echoed across the field as the two ramming Pokemon collided; as Flame Wheel met a Quick Attack. A cloud of smoke encompassed the two of them when they made contact, which they flew out of on opposite sides when they had both finished their assaults. Both of them landed on their feet and skidded backwards from the blast. They had managed to do decent damage to one another, but this time around it was Cinder who managed to put a little more hurt into her attacks.

His brain had still be rattling on the inside. For the first time through this battle, the boy had reached out to his sanity. With what seemed like a big stretch, he had grabbed on to his conscience. Soar from being closed, Kaz couldn't help but to blink rapidly to make sure he was okay, and then rubbed them. What a bump that'd be in the morning. Bulbasaur must've been nearby but right now he had nothing but himself to worry about.

The pain throbbed but the pounding subsided. Bulbasaur was at his feet, pulling his pant leg and nudging his ankles. It took a few minutes but the message became clear; Quilava was still in a fight! With a few more blinks, the entire spotlight became the battle. Quilava had done great on her own, not receiving any orders from her trainer. It almost felt right to stay quiet and let her finish it out, but the worried feeling swept over everyone else.

"Quilava, use Flame Wheel as you tumble towards him. Once you feel your body hit him, use the force to bounce back towards him for a Crush Claw." The plan seemed to be good, if it worked. His fire type would close the gap between them, and if she could pull off the Crush Claw, it could do some pretty good damage. He hoped for the best but understood her ailment.

Bulbasaur seemed to be cheering for the fire type, Quilava.

Nothing like suffering from a massive headache, is there? Give it time, young trainer - the shock will subside soon and you'll be able to give your Quilava orders without having to contemplate how to make your head stop spinning from the pain. Guess an Electrike dishes out a fair old whack, doesn't he?

Regardless, with your head somewhat back in some sense of order, you were able to deliver your orders to Cinder - though naturally, your wild opponent figured it was best to get the first hit in, considering he was the stronger (albeit more hurt) of the two battlers. As such, he launched forward, striking with a well aimed Quick Attack before Cinder had the chance to flare up the flames around her body - though that quickly followed from your Volcano Pokémon, who was clearly ticked off by the attack. Within moments, a mass of flame surrounded your Quilava, before she rolled forward, launching into the Electrike with some force - and caused several burn marks to appear upon his body. You had managed to burn the dog-like Pokémon!

In an attempt to follow your orders to the letter, Cinder tried to use the force of the blow to bounce back for her next attack - only for a small twinge of paralysis to prevent her from completing the smooth transition from Flame Wheel to Crush Claw. Subsequently, it allowed the wild Electrike to charge forward, with bolts of electricity flickering around the dog-like Pokémon like he was a lightning rod. In moments, he was up against your Quilava, striking with a Spark attack. It certainly seemed nowhere near as powerful as the Spark attacks he had previously used - an effect of the burn, perhaps?

Thankfully, the twinge of paralysis that had prevented a fluid double attack had worn off, granting your Pokémon some more mobility. With that in mind, your Quilava stepped forward, allowing as much energy to flow into her arm as was possible - before striking down hard upon the Lightning Pokémon's head, causing quite the headache for the poor Electrike! Justice for your injuries, perhaps?

With parts of the Electrike's body covered in burns, the wild Pokémon cried loudly in pain, trying to figure out in vain how to stop the burning sensation he could feel.

One more attack should do it, I reckon - your move. Finish him off and find that Croagunk!

Derping... All Day, Every Day!
My head was still throbbing. Sight wasn’t the problem anymore, it was just the pain. Pulsing and beating like a tired heart. It seemed that my right eye was lazy now, having the pounding over it. Quilava was getting tired, and anyone could see it from first looks. But the Electrike was equal in condition, if not worse. The Burn ailment nearly took the canine’s wind from his lungs, but he grasped for life. Unfortunate for him, Quilava was on my side and she knew exactly how to finish things with or without me.

A smile cracked on my face, and although it started off weak it strengthened. She only had to get one little attack in, and the rest would be taken care of by the Burn. My darling fire type had been paralyzed, so a lose at speed, and she was becoming exhausted using so many moves as I had tried to tell her to use. It was time to switch tactics and try something totally different. As I tried to open my mouth, my head throbbed more and more, and soon my hand was covering my face. I mumbled words, but I don’t know if she heard them correctly.

As I tried my hardest to look out my left eye, to observe what was going on, my Quilava had readied herself for an attack. Hopefully, the final one. In what seemed just slightly more than normal speed, she took off to use Quick Attack. It was the one and only move, but knowing my pokemon, she’d perform two if needed.

Chasing down Croagunk

Cinder was worn down. Every muscle in her body ached. She lifted her head to stare at the Electrike, contemplating the little electric canine for a moment before letting her head drift back down a little. The Electrike was in worse condition, his body scorched in various places, the burns damaging him every turn. He was whimpering, trying to find the strength to continue the battle. Cinder almost felt bad for him... almost. She grimaced as she felt the paralysis in her body, yet she fought against it.

There was a sudden blur of movement, the draft back from the rush breezed past you as Cinder shot - literally like a bullet from a gun - at the Electrike. Her attack hit true and Electrike tried his hardest to hit back with a Spark attack. It was weak, but that didn't stop the attack from stinging a little. Cinder was breathing heavily, ready to use a second quick attack if she needed to... but the burn did the work and the Electrike passed out cold, his body falling limp to the ground.

Cinder limped towards you, breathing heavily. She made it to your leg, leaning against it for support as she eyed the canine to make sure it had actually passed out. The Quilava was exhausted and yet you could see it in her eyes; she was definitely stronger now. A lot stronger.

With that out of the way, would you try and catch it? Could you catch it? The Electrike that is... and what about that Croagunk?
