Derping... All Day, Every Day!
Kazuki had seemed a little absent in his own mind. It took him a little while to get going again, and how he had to think of how further to take the tutors. The battles, on the other hand, seemed to be almost even. Poliwag had looked to be having a slight problem, almost becoming more tired looking than the Gastly. That can always be changed, Kaz just had to think of the right strategy. But could he? His life seemed to take over tutoring, and not battling. He wasn't good at fighting. Stepping into things, Kaz actually instructed the battling pokemon first, rather then the tutoring pokemon.

The Poliwag seemed to have an array of moves that could effect the Stunfisk in a super effective matter. It was picking the right moves. The boy thought for a moment, watching the Stunfisk carefully. Any movement had nearly forced him to jump, thinking that he needed to spit something out. While it seemed to be time, Kaz still couldn't think of anything. He felt sad, and upset. Letting his pokemon down had been his main thought. But then he thought of a plan. Saving his despairing thoughts.

"Swirl, we're going to do your three move turn. Jump to his side, and use Hypnosis. Hopefully he is going to fall asleep. Regardless, get in there and use two strong Water Guns." Kaz patted the water type on his head, gently, before moving away for the battle to continue. He felt comfortable that Poliwag could pull this off, and do some good damage. Leaving it to what he knew as STAB.

Gastly was another story. Although his move set for this round would, somehow, be the same. Though Kazuki didn't know how to word it. With Poliwag, it seems he tried to imagine a more action-packed round. With Gastly, a floating orb, it didn't seem all that playable in his head. Nonetheless, Gastly needed to win to get this experience.

"Use Hypnosis. Try to get that Pidove in one position... On the ground and snoozing. After, regardless, use two Dark Pulses and make them matter. You got this, Gastly." Kaz said, putting faith in the ghost type with a weak cheer.

Now for the tutoring. Nidoking was having the utmost trouble with making the wave-like move a wave. But Kazuki had a small idea, and he hoped it worked so that King could progress even further. Flaaffy, or Jolt, had a wave move. But then the boy's mind wandered to her. How would he help the sheep? Maybe circling around to build momentum. Yeah, that seemed okay in Kazuki's mind.

"Here we go," Kaz started, staring at the purple and then the pink and white pokemon before him. "Flaaffy, use Thunder Wave on King, showing him what a wave looks like. Then, King, try Sludge Wave again, but spit it out by moving your head to the side, spitting it as a wide shot." Going good... "Flaaffy, run a few good yards away, circle around, then tackle the tree. This is hopefully going to build you momentum."

A few things here, so let's make sense of it all. We've got our tutors, and we've got out battles, so let's take a look at all of this one by one and see if we can't make some kind of sense out of all this ruckus, shall we? Let's see, there's King working on Sludge Wave, Flaaffy trying to perfect Wild Charge, Swirl taking on a weird fish-thing, and Gastly battling a Pidove. Alright, not too complicated. Why don't we take a closer look.

Swirl shot out his Hypnosis, sending the Stunfisk off into a deep slumber. Taking advantage of his opportunity, the little blue Pokemon blasted out two Water Guns. Direct hit! The blasts were enough to take him out completely! The fish shuddered before passing out. Must be a weird sensation to go from sleep to unconsciousness. I wonder if he even feels a difference...Regardless, your Swirl won! Hooray! What'll you do with the Stunfisk? Will you capture it, or just leave it here?

Battle Results

Moving on to our next battle, Gastly versus Pidove! Gastly prepared a Hypnosis, but before he could use it he was struck by a Gust. It was a big hit, but your little ghost persevered. He launched his Hypnosis, putting the bird to sleep. It dropped down to the ground with a thud, dealing some minor damage. Gastly let his two Dark Pulses fly, dealing good chunks of damage, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to completely knock her out. Don't worry, next round you'll get her for sure!

Team Pidove

Now that the battles are out of the way, we can move on to the tutors! Huzzah! We'll start with King. Flaaffy's Thunder Wave really helped him out, he got the feel for what a wave should look like. Of course, it didn't teach him everything, I mean there is a difference between a wave of electricity and a wave of poison, but still it was as good help as you'll get. King prepared the sludge, and he threw his head around in order to spread it. He managed to get a good wave in front of him, but unfortunately Sludge Wave goes all around the user. He'll have to work on getting it to go behind him as well and not just follow his head.

:nidoking Sludge Wave: 75%

Next is Flaaffy. She's almost got it, she just needs to power up the physical charge part of Wild Charge. Taking a few laps to build up speed, she dashed at the tree, engulfed herself in electricity, and slammed into hit hard! Her head was a little sore after, but she didn't care because she'd done it! She learned Wild Charge!

Derping... All Day, Every Day!
A lot still seemed to be going on. He had an egg that had been slowly developing. There had been Shellder, who seemed to be close to getting a small pearl. For some money, Kaz needed that Big Pearl that those pokemon can produce. It was the point of getting a few things without the trouble of an epic adventure. Though, in a while, Kaz may not mind. The battle between Poliwag and Stunfisk was over, and it seemed pretty close to the battle to Gastly and Pidove. Thinking of their battle, and the situation Gastly was in, the battle seemed to be nearly over. So was a break in order for everyone? Kaz thought so, recalling Poliwag and Flaaffy.

"Gastly, the bird is sleeping. It seems like a good chance to finish this." A slight decision popped into the boy's head. Pidove was one of those, somewhat, nearly discovered pokemon. And it had been a flying type. Skarmory and itself could really get along and well, it seemed that the option laid in the back of Kazuki's mind as he finished off the instructions for his gaseous orb pokemon. "Finish him off. Use two Dark Pulses!" Kaz picked up a pokeball. It was his last normal one, and the others seemed useless to most of the pokemon he battled. He held back his feelings, putting the pokeball away. It wasn't worth it.

(The following is if the battle ends!) With the commotion over, it seemed like as good of enough time as any to do a little shopping and heal up the team. The first stop was the Pokemon Center. But it seemed that this was not the stop for Shellder, which is explained later. The red roofed building was a symbol of peace for his team, as Kaz has had them working for a while now. A nice break won't do any harm. The Nurse would take them, putting them on the machine to heal. The boy's eyes seemed to glow as he watched the lights flash up and shoot x-ray-like ways into the pokemon to heal them.

"That was quick." Kaz commented, saying so under his breath before bowing to the nurse and leaving. His mind races as he had a few different things he wanted to do. Of course, he had to finish tutoring a few moves before he continued to train. The Poke-Mart was the perfect spot to start for buying those spheres, built to make additions to a Trainer's team.

Walking in, Kaz smiled. "Hello, clerk." Kaz started. "I'd like to sell a few things, as well as purchase some. Shall I start?" The boy swung his bag over his shoulder, unzipping it and putting a hand inside to gather up his items he'd like to part with. He brought out most of the odd pokeballs. He wanted to sell his Moon ball, Lure Ball, Level Ball, and Friend Ball. Then he scanned the shelves. The pokeballs seemed to be the only thing he was interested in. "I'd like to buy about 5 Greatballs and 10 pokeballs!"

The price weighed heavily on Kaz. He wanted to have them just in case, but he felt that maybe something else was in order as well. Oh well, he thought, continuing out the store. It seemed like he a moment's break. The dilemma of searching for trouble adventure, or to continue tutoring his pokemon seemed to bounce. Each with it's pros and cons. What a confusing decision to make. He wanted both; he knew he could only have one!

He picked tutoring over adventure. Besides, he'd have to swing by where he had been to pick up Shellder. During the earlier trip to the Center, Kaz chose to leave the Shellder there, to build up his Big Pearl. It was worth enough money, and well, he needed him to have the utmost focus when making it. That would be the thing to bring in good money if anything.

Going back to that area, Kaz released Poliwag, Nidoking, and Trubbish. The three walked with Kaz, but one made the others want to retreat back to their sphere--for once. Trubbish, the petit bag of garbage pokemon. Poor thing stunk up the place, nearly making Kaz return it before he fainted. But they all held on.

"Shellder, I'm back. What is the progress?" He simply asked to make sure how much longer it may take for a Big Pearl.

"Time to tutor, guys." Kaz put the three in positions equally spaced out. They were a few good yards away from each other, allowing all of them to have some room to practice. First up was Trubbish, because Nidoking had to help. Then Nidoking; Kaz couldn't forget Poliwag! "One big explanation... Ready?"

"Trubbish, you're learning Sludge Bomb. Basically, it is Toxic made solid. Nidoking will show you. From there, he will give you tips on how he learned it. Afterwards, you try it on your own. Go ahead, Nidoking. Show him."

"While they do that, Poliwag, you'll be learning Scald. I need you to try to warm the water inside you. It is hot water that shoots out almost like a Water Gun. So for that, we have it pat down. Work on warmer the water up first, and shooting it out in small sprays to see if it stays warm when leaving. I don't mean luke warm, we need it warm warm.... enough to burn."

"King, you are continuing Sludge Wave. You're getting there. You need to get it all around. What I want you to do is use it like a wave, like I've been teaching you, and spin around once or twice. Doing so, soak the ground well enough. Try that, King. Shoot for the finish!"

Finally this battle will be over. Gosh, it seems like it's been going on for months. Ahem anyway, with Pidove asleep there was no escaping Gastly's Dark Pulses. The battle was soon over, your floating buddy coming out victorious. After a little celebration, your little buddy was tired so he slumped down on the ground. A quick trip to the Pokemon Centre got him feeling like new again.

Battle Results

You know what I love after giving a couple Pokemon a good beating? Shopping! It seems you and I have this in common. The Pokemart has a wonderful variety of things to buy from Potions to Super Potions! You walked up to the counter to sell your apricorn balls and...oh...oh that's rather awkward. Well, because they are free to make by the apricorn guy it turns out they have a $0 sellback value. That's rather unfortunate. Thankfully you still had the money to purchase your Pokeballs and Greatballs. You made your transactions and were back on your way! Back to the alley!

Back in the alley you decided to continue your move tutoring. Hopefully you'll get it done quickly so you can get on adventuring. You held your nose as you released Trubbish again. It's so unfortunate, it's not like he can help it. Oh god I can smell him even through the computer screen, it's seeping through the fourth wall! All smells aside your Pokemon were ready to get to work.

Trubbish was the first to go. King showed him how to do a Sludge Bomb attack, and he felt ready to try it himself. He tried his best to solidify his Toxic, but after a few seconds in the air it fell apart and splattered all over the ground. Maybe King's explanation wasn't as good as you thought. Maybe you should chime in yourself with a few pointers. Of course out did help, but it's always best to get involved yourself. If you want something done right, you'll have to do it yourself.

:trubbish Sludge Bomb: 20%

Next up is Swirl. The little Poliwag was a little nervous making hot water, but he swallowed his fear and got to it. He knew how to get the water out of him, he just had to figure out how to heat it. He focused really hard and when he felt it was ready he shot it out! Well, it wasn't exactly boiling hot. In fact it was barely lukewarm. He'll need a bit more instruction before he can figure this one out. Maybe try figuring out how to heat it.

:poliwag Scald: 10%

Finally, we come to King. The giant purple Pokemon was nearing the end of his Sludge Wave tutoring. He readied the sludge, spun around a bit, and released! A big purple wave spilled out all around him, drenching everything in gross sludge. It was beautiful in a way. Beautiful and disgusting. You and your Pokemon wiped away the poison while King stood triumphant in a pool of his own victory. Looks like he's got it!

:nidoking Sludge Wave: 100%

All the while little Shellder was sitting in a nearby fountain working on his Big Pearl. It looks like it'll take a little bit longer, but it'll definitely be worth it!

Tutoring. A word of service that Kaz seemed to devote his life too. But he didn't always want to do it. Though, it seemed like the only thing to do during this time. Let's see, he thought, as he looked through the two that were left tutoring. After a gym battle on Peddleton, Kaz might actually open up a tutoring service! How'd that be great and be what he'd be good at. First up was Trubbish, and then Swirl.

The petit bag of collective garbage seemed to start off with a rather rough start to Sludge Bomb. King, who had been chosen as a mentor, didn't surpass the normal and average that the boy expected. The mind raced. He needed a new way of coming up with this, and by looking at the ground and concentration, he thought of something. Picking up a smell rock with his index and thumb fingers, he pushed it towards Trubbish's direction. The rock. A symbol of something solid.

"Look at this!" He started, holding the rock a little higher, "This rock is purely solid. You need to make the Sludge Bomb as hard as this. Please forgive me," The last part seemed to make Trubbish confused, and he cocked his head. Suddenly, the rock went for him. Perfect. "Try it now. Feel how hard it was? Surpass it. Try again."

Swirl was up next. Scald was going to be a tough battle. Kaz had to think of a new way to get around this. He thought of fire, and then thought of Quilava. The fire on his body was always hot, and he knew that at one point Poliwag had to have felt it. It could be the perfect way around things.

"Hey, Poliwag!" Kaz yelled out, grabbing at his tadpole's attention, "Remember our friend Quilava? His body is always so warm. Think of how it felt to be close to him and really focus on it. That has to be warm, and hot to touch. Apply the feeling and match it in the temperature of water! Try Scald again."

Tutoring. A thing that you are good at, as evidenced by your Nidoking, especially. Your little bag of garbage was trying his hardest to follow instructions so that he could learn yet another poison typed attack. Sludge Bomb was a strong one, to be sure, but it was also a lot different from the other moves. Solidifying it was a hard task, but you gave your own attempt at showing how to demonstrate what it meant to have the poison "solid".

By throwing a rock at your pokémon. That right there, mister, is abuse and I should send you to the Nothingness. Not that I'm going to, though, since it was just a pebble and I get what you meant. Did I give enough of a scare, though? Probably not considering I didn't leave space to imply dramatic pause. Anyway, Trubbish felt the pebble hit him and he somewhat understood what you were talking about. He picked it up himself and played with it for a few moments, attempting to grasp the concept of where his poison should be.

He started again and secreted the toxic poison and molded it into a wet, lumpy ball in his hands. Throwing it seemed to provide a better result this time around, as it didn't completely dissipate into a puddle, but it still wasn't there yet. It wasn't completely solid... more like a ball of soggy, wet clay with improper consistency all the way through. Still, it was a far cry from where it had been before! Keep up the good work, and this move would be finished in no time at all.

Up next, we had your little blue companion — Swirl the Poliwag. Learning Scald was no easy task, especially for a pokémon that had no basis for being able to cause heat or any type of burn status. The first attempt had only been a slight adjustment in temperature, but the fact that it had been any different was good progress. Your instructions for the next attempt were to imagine being close to Quilava and getting that kind of warmth into his attack.

So, that's what the little guy did. He could remember the warmth and how it felt just fine, but wasn't sure how to adjust the heat of the water internally. With thoughts just on that warmth, he tried again and shot out a burst of water. It wasn't at the point where it could be called hot or have the chance of burning anyone, but it was still warmer than it had been before. Enough that you could physically tell a difference when you touched it. All in all, good progress!

His tutoring was at a stand-still once more. The smelly bag pokemon were having no luck. As well as the tadpole. It was very unfortunate, because the boy had been running out of ideas. So he took a break. Recalling them to their respected pokeballs and trotting his depressed self to the Pokemon Center once more. But this time was a little different then usual, especially for Kazuki. He had gone to heal his pokemon, but also to the PC. He deposited King, Jolt, and the Gastly. Taking out his own Skarmory, as well as completing a trade with another Skarmory. A payment had been discussed from a busy trainer who had no time to tutor his own Skarmory. With his own, Kaz felt confident he could help service the busier trainer. But he had to hurry; he had a goal and a big want of going to Millenia's ferry and catching a ride to Peddleton where he would fight against the first gym leader of his life. He couldn't wait.

Before going back to the field, Kazuki stopped at the fishing store. Sea-side services it was called. He had heard of something called an Old Rod, which was just like a fishing rod, but old, and used to catch basic pokemon in the waters. He had purchased only one, and left it at that. Leaving quickly, he went for the field where he had previously been tutoring.

Going back to the field, Kazuki released his four pokemon. Shellder was sitting their, still waiting. While the boy had recalled Trubbish and Poliwag, the clam pokemon stayed behind to finish making the Pearl. But Kaz was back and it was all about tutoring for the other pokemon. Trubbish and Poliwag were having a hard time, and it was going to be very unfortunate for them not to progress quick enough. Time for this round...

"Trubbish, you really need to grab at the aspect of making it harder. Maybe you do, but we need to apply it. Feel the rocks beneath your feet when you walk, or when one gets kicked up after a more powerful attack? You need to make the Sludge Bomb equally hard. Think of water going to ice. Not freezing it with temperature, but in some way solidifying it." Kaz had hoped that Trubbish could work with it. King wasn't around any more to try and help. He needed to try and form the liquid and harden it as it came out and keep it as it flew.

"Poliwag, you need to warm that water! Think of boiling water as if you were going to make some noodles. That inner fire, and the inner desire. Let it burn through your body as you think of the heat. No one on the team knows any fire, but remember about what I said about the Quilava that I have? The warm feeling that comes off his body.

"Now, for this we're going with the busy trainer's Skarmory. He sent a request, saying that he wants this bird to know a few moves. Which one, that we don't have, we'll be doing along with him. But for now, let us work on some supportive moves. Swords Dance. I believe what we did for it was have you spin, sharpening those talons with every rotation. so, Steel, show this Skarmory how it is done. Use Swords Dance." Kaz paused, waiting to watch Steel use his Swords Dance and then watch how the stranger bird reacted. "Now, spin rapidly. Focus on your talons sharpening as you spin your feet against the rough earth beneath 'em."

Well, your Pokemon were all back to well-rested status, and you were back in the field, ready to tutor. You had a new comrade with you, a second Skarmory. Breeding purposes? I hope not; both of those Skarmorys are dudes. You'd have a real hard time breeding the two... but fortunately, you didn't have him for breeding. He was learning Swords Dance. It's quite the move, capable of raising Attack very quickly and everything. But we shan't worry about that right now.

Trubbish was having a little bit of trouble... in other words, he was being himself. But that all changed this turn! He knew you were rather disappointed in his latest attempts, so he was out to prove you wrong. He wasn't quite sure of his own physical limitations that might or might not screw his whole plan up, but who cares? It's time to throw caution into the wind!

Okay, so not really. Besides, he was just recently fully healed up; training a little longer wouldn't damage him forever or anything. He started forming the ball again. This time he scaled back the poison a little bit, assuming that the reason for the sogginess of the Sludge Bomb was simply supersaturation; too much poison. He was right, for the most part. You could tell that the Sludge Bomb was a lot more bomb and a lot less sludge. He chucked the thing and when it hit the ground, it sounded like hardened clay shattering. You looked over, thinking the move was completely finished, but you saw that the move was still a little sloppy. He would probably get it next turn, as long as someone doesn't troll you...

Swirl the Poliwag followed. Okay, so his first two attempts weren't that successful. But so what? There's no time to think about the past, and Swirl knew that. Instead, he just thought about the Quilava's fire and its warmth. Then he looked up at the sun (or at least around the vicinity of the sun). The sun was a pretty warm object too, as you may know. He thought about the sun's warmth too, which was especially warming today. When he fired his third Scald attempt, you could see some steam rising, but the move just wasn't quite there yet. Still, steam meant boiling would come soon!

Like I mentioned before, Swords Dance was quite the move. Once Skarmory knew it, he'd deal some serious damage to his opponents. But he's got to learn it first, right? Well, your first thought was to give Skarmory a perfect example of a Swords Dance move by using your own Skarmory! Steel spun around, clinking his talons together to sharpen them. It seemed simple enough, but would it be for the younger Skarmory?

The little guy started spinning around and around and around. Everything seemed to be going great, and all that was left was to start clinking those talons. However, when you thought he was going to get it in one try, he fell over. The poor guy got dizzy spinning around! It's hard to keep balance when you're moving that rapidly. Skarmory lay on the ground, disoriented for a few moments. He probably just needed to get used to the feeling of spinning around rapidly.

Derping... All Day, Every Day!
A void was empty. It didn’t seem so uncommon. In fact, it has happened plenty of times before. The void was in his mind, and not in front of him. A missing space within his brain. Not that he was “different”, but that he couldn’t keep focus as much as he wanted. His pokemon helped bring him back from his void, but could it be enough for now? Poliwag. Trubbish. And a stranger’s Skarmory. With some doubts in his mind, Kaz seemed to finally come back and focus on his plans for life. Tutoring. Going to the ferry. Fighting the first gym in the long track of them.

Poliwag was the first one up. He had turned his attention to the tadpole, over the other two, because Swirl had been the only water pokemon that Kazuki truly had. And he could be vital. Scald was a hard move, because not all water is even luke warm when coming from a source. The pokemon was not a sink, or a hose, that had knobs to turn on and off hot or cold water. In the past attempt, some steam had finally shown itself. It gave hope to both the Trainer and Pokemon. Poliwag danced, showing off his emotions. But what else could he do but try the same thing over and over? Kazuki had no idea in the way of changing the method. He simply had to keep going, practicing turning the hot water on inside of him.

“Hey Swirl! That was great.” Kazuki praised the tadpole. “Unfortunately, I have no other way of furthering this. You seem to have the right path coming to you. Keep going the same way, trying to turn a mental knob for hot water. Keep it going.” A smile crossed his face, hoping to give the Poliwag some hope.

Next was Trubbish. The poison baby seemed to look up to Nidoking, being a higher power to him and now tutor. The Nidoking seemed to slowly reject the petit bag of garbage. It wasn’t for him, but it was for the smell. But knowing how Kazuki would feel, King took up this opportunity to be like a father, a tutor, and a friend. He looked down at Trubbish with a smile and starting to speak in their language, the one Kaz would never figure out. King had been telling the Trubbish how to do the move, and fine tune it. With a nod, Trubbish seemed to understand and trot to the side, readying himself. He did the same thing he has but with a little touch of his own to further it: smoothing it, solidifying it more, and making it filled with sludge. What a difficult move; Kaz and King has a lot of hope for Trubbish… but they wish they had a lot of air fresheners.

From one to another, Skarmory was the traded pokemon from a Trainer somewhere in the world. Kazuki was more than happy to take this task up, training someone else’s pokemon. With a small list of moves, the Skarmory would be easily as powerful as his own. That is why the trainer sent him, right? But they were still working along the lines of the second move, technically, which is Swords Dance. Learning this move might boost the progress of the first, technically, which was Steel Wing. The first round didn’t go as well as the boy wanted it to. A hand gripped his face, than he realized it was his own. Kazuki felt that it wasn’t THAT challenging the first time around, so Skarmory could help out. Waving Steel over, he had explained to show this trainer’s Skarmory how to do it, and to talk him through anything he needed. Steel did, squawking his name as he talked. Both Steel and Skarmory would try Swords Dance.

“It looks… nice out today.” Kaz said, thinking to himself and taking a moment to stare into the sky. It wasn’t every day he felt so distant from things. First it was tutoring, and battling, and tutoring, now life. Was he somehow separating from it all?

That's some existential crisis you've got going on there. I have those days too. Those days when you feel like you're almost...outside of your own body. When you feel like you don't have any real purpose. When you feel like you're somehow apart from the world, watching it all unfold beneath you, powerless to change anything. When you feel like you're the only person in the universe. Well, you're not. You're not alone, you've got your Pokemon and everyone around you to help you through days like today.

Well, now that we've dealt with that, on to the tutors!

First up is Trubbish. The bag of garbage was doing pretty well. He just needed to refine his technique. He formed the ball, aimed carefully, and fired! The Sludge Bomb hit with perfect accuracy and power. The consistency was nice and gooey, but not too gooey so as to fall apart midair. Looks like he's got it!

:trubbish Sludge Bomb: 100%

Next we have Swirl, the Poliwag. He was getting better at heating up the water. All he could do now was just keep at it. He felt the warmth of the sun, and imagined the warmth of Quilava. He brought forth the water, and with that heat in mind it began to boil. He shot out the water, and when it hit the ground a few feet away you could definitely see some steam rising. It wasn't quite boiling yet, but it was pretty close. Perhaps one big burst of energy will complete the training.

:poliwag Scald: 85%

Finally we've got Skarmory. Steel showed him once again his Swords Dance, this time going a bit slower. The young Skarmory watched and attempted to copy. He tried spinning around more slowly this time, getting used to the feeling. Clinking his talons together he felt them get a little sharper, but not enough to make a big difference. Still, he was well on his way to learning the technique.

Derping... All Day, Every Day!
The egg wiggled about, coming to an end of its cycle. The young Bulbasaur egg, given by a guy named Ringo during the last job he did, was about to be hatched. Or at least, he thought. It was about time, so the much anticipated moment lingered and the anxiety of it all excited Kaz abruptly. Not only was the egg nearing the end, but so was Shellder's long awaited prize. The Big Pearl. Treasure and value to Trainers. It would help Kazuki along his journey when he needed things.

Now, for the tutoring.

Poliwag was close, and he needed to burst with the fiery temp of determination. There was nothing left. One big burst. Could he do it? "Swirl, let go one more big burst. Make it everything you have. If only I had a fire pokemon, I'd show you some heat." Kaz left it all to him.

Skarmory was the second to be tutored. It was going slower then the other two. But none the less effective. His claws seemed like sharp knives, small razors on the edge of his legs. Up his attack and Skarmory could be very deadly. "Give it another go. Think of a sword from a samurai, one that can slice through a tree."

Something seemed to linger about.

Bulbasaur Egg [12/15]

Looks like you're almost done with the waiting around. Shellder's almost done with his Big Pearl, and Bulbasaur looks just about ready to hatch. Yes, things seem to be working out for you. Swirl decided this was it. No more playing around. All or nothing here. He mustered all his strength, built up a stream of water, and pretended he was a Charizard. He opened his mouth and...BOOM! A blast of hot water launched out and hit the ground a few feet away. You saw definite steam rising from the spot, and Swirl himself even felt like he needed to cool his mouth down. Looks like you've got it!

:poliwag Scald: 100%

Next is Skarmory. He imagined, as you said, a samurai swinging his swords. Well, he'd never seen a samurai so he pictured a Samurott (an understandable replacement). He pictured your Skarmory doing the attack yet again, and felt like he had the form down. He spun around, slowly gaining speed. He clinked his talons together and sharpened them, and made some scratches in the ground. He got out of the spin a little dizzy but that would be worked on later. He's got some grasp of the form, now he just needs to refine it and learn how to now get so dizzy.

:skarmory Swords Dance: 65%

Suddenly you heard a rustling in the alley nearby. A weird bag looking thing emerged holding a nice looking stone. What in the hell is that thing? Well, it looks friendly whatever it is. It hopped over to you and gave you a big smile. Maybe you should befriend this little guy, or maybe fight it. Whatever you do, keep in mind the item he's holding, it could come in handy.

Derping... All Day, Every Day!
The day was becoming frail, with just tutoring. Kaz had been thinking about this a lot lately. It soured his mood greatly. With the finishing of Scald from Swirl, the day brightened slightly. Next was Skarmory, who kept becoming dizzy. You'd think after trying a few times that he wouldn't be as dizzy; wrong, because Kaz had him do it once or twice already. But, again, the boy couldn't give up. A wild pokemon, however, came into view and spiced things up! Swirl may have been a little weak in the energy department because of tutoring, but he needed this battle!

Kaz sent out Swirl and Trubbish. The tadpole looked around, found the wild pokemon, and assumed a battle stance. Things seem to have broken apart when the smell of the small trash bag pokemon lingered through the air. His face, as well as the pokemon around, distorted. For the future, he'd have to remember to buy some air fresheners and let Trubbish eat them.

"Swirl, let's use Scald, the new move, twice!" Kaz seemed excited when saying these orders. He wanted to see just how much it'd do in battle. But Swirl wasn't the only one attacking this round. Hell no. Trubbish needed some experience and what better way then to assist an ally. "Trubbish, you're up! Assist Swirl by attacking with a Sludge Bomb on that weird pokemon. Attack after he does. Make sure to use it twice."

Skarmory was next, because Kaz couldn't let him slide for one tiny second. Every minute counted, especially when on a job. The bird had gotten dizzy again, and they need to fix it somehow. Though, Kazuki didn't have all the answers in the world, you know!

"Watch my Skarmory, and see how he doesn't get so dizzy. Try doing it three more times, and focus on not getting dizzy. Work on those claws, making them sharp like blades. Please, focus."

The stress was finally weighing on him.

Big Pearl [14.5/5]

What a day. Lots of tutors, and even a few battles! You've got quite the life of excitement let me tell you. With everything going on you almost didn't notice Shellder had almost finished making his Big Pearl. And wouldn't you know it, your Bulbasaur egg looks close to hatching. Any minute now. Hey, I just saw it wobble! That thing's gonna be so freaking cute, let me tell you, and powerful too. Still, you've got stuff to occupy your time and attention. Let's check up on those, shall we?

First of all you've got the tutor. Okay, he's done this a number of times and by now he MUST have gotten used to the spinning. He watched your Skarmory do it one last time, and noticed how he kept his balance and kept his vision focused on one spot. Taking a deep breath (where the hell are his lungs, he's made of metal for crying out loud!) he attempted it one last time. Spinning around and clanking his talons together he felt them get sharper and more powerful. He kept his head steady and...kaboom! He's got it!

:skarmory Swords Dance: 100%

Moving on to the battle. Swirl and the relatively weak Trubbish waddled into battle. The kind hearted Trikurtreet had no expectation to battle, so he just smiled peacefully until he was hit square in the face with boiling hot water. Now that's no way to treat a nice Pokemon like him! He was merely playing and-BLAM you hit him again! Now he was upset. He didn't fall for the same trick twice, so he Detected Trubbish's first Sludge Bomb and dodged it. Then he started to glow red, staring energy. It was too late, Trubbish's Sludge Bomb was already in the air and hit him hard. He began to build up power, Biding his time.

Looks like you've got some choices to make. Do you continue attacking this Pokemon in hopes of knocking it out before he releases his Bide, or are you going to wait it out and take the hit before starting up again with him? Like I said, decisions decisions. Either way I'm sure you'll be able to take him down soon enough.

Derping... All Day, Every Day!
Things were crazy, Kaz thought. He scanned the area with his eyes trying to find and survey everything. He was somewhere in Millenia, battling the weirdest pokemon he had seen thus far, and tutoring some guy's pokemon. While tutoring went well in the last round, the battle had also taken a turn for the better seeing as the ugly pokemon seemed hurt. Swirl must've done his job well, with the little help from Trubbish; poor guy was under-leveled and Kaz wouldn't let him feel too left out. Before he could spit out more orders, he looked at the pokemon carefully. Swirl and Trubbish were tired from tutoring, not from battling, and the ugly thing had some item with him. Kaz couldn't tell what it was exactly, but his eyes had sent upon it and were interested in his new discovery. It'd be his for the taking.

"I want that item. Swirl, use two more Scalds. Trubbish, follow up with two more Sludge Bombs! I want you guys to finish it quickly so I can grab the item." Kaz readied a pokeball. Once his pokemon finished this thing off, he'd toss it, catch it, and extract the item. It didn't belong with a wild pokemon and Kaz's pocket was just a better suited place for it! With the advantage on his side, the boy knew Swirl could damage it and if anything Trubbish could pick up what little slack there had been. Wonderful.

Things weren't just wonderful in battle. It was like fate had tapped Kaz on the shoulder to snap his attention to his side. An excellent and shiny Pearl seemed to be ready, or just about, from the Shellder. A traded pokemon bringing Kaz a fortune is a great gift of friends. This water type just made a home, for sure. It'd make a nice bag of coin for the team and the boy knew just what he wanted to spend it on.

"Hey, Skarmory!" Kazuki alerted both the bird's attentions. Their solid bodies turned to face him and he could barely tell them apart. Steel had a stronger build, a sharper set of wings, and a bit of height on the smaller and younger seeming bird. It was Steel's job to help Kaz out with tutoring. The small bird had one more move to complete and luck was on their side: Skarmory already knew the beginning steps.

"Alright guys, time to finish!" Kaz smiled, seemingly happier then usual. Things were going his way, so why not show it off. "Skarmory use Swords Dance to power yourself up. Think back when we started Steel Wing, and how you had to collect that steel type energy from within. Re-focus that and bring it to your wings. With the attack boost, the move will be a nice combo when done but it may be up to par on how strong it should be when ready. Try to ram your wing into a bush or tree, something no one will yell about, to test it. Feel it."
