Kazuki was very proud of the pokemon he was beginning to tutor in this round of his life. King was awesome, and Lapras had been some other Trainer's but still awesome. The rest of the team were troopers and it always was nice to be around them. As for Mareep and King, the pair seemed to work well together. Maybe this foreshadowed certain things in the future. Although both common, baby Nidorans and Mareeps would be a joy to have. Getting back on track, and not thinking of babies (especially King and Mareep... enough said). King had to somehow know how to build up the energy. An idea or two popped into Kazuki's mind, but the question of whether or not they would work lingered within. "King, try this. You seen the electricity, you felt it's power and energy. Focus very hard on those factors. The power to paralyze, and the power of electricity. Try to focus on it, and build it up. As baby steps, I want you to build it up and then try to shoot it as a tiny spark-like attack. A baby version of Thundershock, which you cannot learn, exactly."

When it came to Lapras, Kaz knew damn well he couldn't remind the water type the power of electricity. Even though she was a good few levels behind, Mareep would do some damage. So, instead, it only seemed right to make it learn the same way as King. "Lapras, you'll be doing the same thing as King. Focus on the electricity you just felt, and a Thunderbolt from my Mareep would hurt you. Use your mental powers to help focus on that feeling you just received and make it your own. Try to branch it out by using a spark-like attack."

On to Swirl. The young Poliwag had the right track going. As the attack flowed out, it may have looked like a Water Gun, but good-eye Kaz found ice particles, or crystals. It was only a matter of time before Swirl would learn Ice Beam and be a very powerful tadpole. "Swirl, that was great. Focus on doing that again, but this time, try dropping the temp down lower, and holding it for longer in order to allow the water type energy to freeze into ice type energy. Spray what you have out for me to see."

Gastly was doing really good. Shadow Ball was a great move for him to have, and it was only right for the future that he had such a powerful move. Kaz used to be afraid of ghosts, but as he got older, he found appreciation for them. Now, he owned one. Gastly would make a fine friend, and Kaz would help teach him many things. "Gastly, you're doing good. Try not to lose focus, though. Keep going, and this time, try crafting the energy you conjure into a sphere," Kaz held up a pokeball in his palm. "like a pokeball, but bigger."

Velix. Velix. Velix. There wasn't much more for her to do other then to keep trying to spin and sharpen the claws she had. "Velix, dear, try again after you dismiss the dizzy spell. You basically have the move down, we just need to spin a little quicker and hold it, enabling those claws to get sharper."

Both King, and Lapras listened to your explanation, which was a fairly good one if I may say so myself. Both of them began to focus, they could still feel the electric energy in their bodies, and they began focusing on creating more of the energy. King was first; the poisonous brute began concentrating hard, thinking about the electrifying energy that was running through his body. He focused on the power, what it felt like, what it would look like, and what it could do. As he focused you began to notice the tip of his horn glowing slightly. King continued concentrating, trying his hardest to produce more and more of the energy. He could feel the shock, the lightning flashing from his body at his foe, and watching them becoming paralyzed. He needed a lot of this energy if he wanted to paralyze an enemy, but hopefully what he had at the moment would please his trainer. King took a step forward, and a small spark began dancing around the tip of his horn. He then let the build up go, and small spark of lightning shot from his horn. Well it seemed as though he figured out how to use the attack. The only problem was that he would need a lot more energy if he wanted to create a full powered Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt Learning Curve_46%

Next it was Lapras’ turn, the majestic water pokemon quickly began focusing on the energy. Being of the water type, she definitely felt the power and the energy a lot more then King did, therefore she would probably learn a bit quicker then him. Anyway, the blue goliath began focusing on the electricity that followed within her body. She concentrated hard on producing the same energy that she felt bouncing around inside of her. She could feel the static, the heat, everything that pretty much made up Thunderbolt. Soon the tip of her horn began glowing as well, and with a cry of her name, a small bolt of lightning shot out. It looked like a weaker and smaller version of Thundershock.. hmmm, that;s kind of odd. Wasn’t that what you a King were aiming for, and Lapras was supposed to be like spark? Weeiirrdd.. Anyways, the small bolt zigzagged for a bit, before finally disinagrating, well it looked like she almost had it! A bit more practice, and I think she’ll know it!

Thunderbolt Learning Curve_57%

:poliwag

Next up was Swirl. He had given you a pretty good start on Ice Beam, but he needed just a little bit more work. You quickly explained to him that he needed to cool the water down more, and hold it in longer, allowing it to freeze, and that’s what he would do. The little blue tadpole began again with building up a Water Gun, however, this time he kept it in and cooled it for a bit. A few minutes passed and the pokemon couldn’t keep it in any longer, and so he let the attack go. It was actually a very good attempt, there was no water to be seen in fact it was all ice, the only problem was that it sprayed out covering a large area. He needed to condense the attack into a beam, and cool it down just a bit more, it had to be cold enough to possibly freeze his opponent, right? But like I said it was a very good attempt!

Ice Beam Learning Curve_65%

:gastly

As you explained what he should do, Gastly carefully listened. He couldn’t lose focus, otherwise the attempt would fail, and so he would try his best not to do so. He quickly began doing the same as earlier, and in a matter of seconds the colored blob was in front of him again. He continued pulling out the energy, until the floating colors were a bit bigger then a pokeball, just like you said. He then began concentrating on compacting the energy into a sphere, which wasn’t that hard, and soon he had it. He looked at you with a creepy smile; he had this move almost complete! The only thing left to do was to launch it, which he wouldn’t do until you said so. So ya, this tutor is almost finished!

Shadow Ball Learning Curve_ 75%

:velix

So Velix pretty much had the idea of Swords dance, it wasn’t that hard to actually learn. She did the spinning, and sharpened her claws causing her attack to rise a bit, but it wasn’t enough. However, you saw this and explained the situation. She waited a bit so the dizziness subsided, and then she began spinning again. She continued to do so few about a minute or two, and even though she was starting to become dizzy again, she kept up with the move. Finally she stopped, and looked down at her claws, they were razor sharp, and she had mastered the move. Maybe you should still work with her a bit on it, just so she could get used to the dizziness, but ya, congratulations Swords Dance was learned!

Kazuki went over to Nidoking, and stood in the front of him. Heplaced one hand on his hip, and the other held his chin and covered his mouth. Having King and Lapras focus on the energy wasn't enough. Glancing to Mareep, he knew he had to try something. She would be spending a lot of energy, and she would be greatly appreciated afterwards. Kazuki loved all of his pokemon, and had tried teaching them to work together. "Mareep, use thunderbolt on them. Once for each. You two," He turned his eyes to King and Lapras, "Feel Mareep's power, and focus on the energy, build it up even more. Keep trying to build it up and send it out as she is with the move when she shows you by using it on you. Mareep, please coach them with anything you can to help them."

Poliwag was doing pretty good, but he was getting to the point that would require a lot of focus. Luckily, he had training gathering energy in focus when Kazuki put him to moments of hard focusing in the tutor of Bubblebeam. "Remember Bubblebeam? You had to focus a lot for that. Go back to that state of mind and make only the tree frozen. Keep cooling down the energy until it hits negative degrees, no, I mean the big negative degrees."

Gastly had come to a point where he was just about done. "Gastly, I don't need to say much. You have it all built up, but now you just need to toss it. Make it go at the tree," Kaz pointed behind him, "with the best speed you can. Try throwing two of them."

Velix did good, and it made Kaz happy. He returned her to the pokeball. She was now prepared for the journey ahead. Gastly and Swirl were no doubt next. Maybe Gastly quicker, but still all the same.

You quickly explained to all the pokemon on the field what they needed to work on, and they quickly began. Mareep happily looked a King and Lapras, I think she was getting a thrill at shocking them both and not having to worry about retaliation, anyway onward. Mareep slowly started to charge herself with electricity, and then she fired off her attack once more. First she hit King, who quickly began focusing on the energy around him. He let the currents pass through his body, and tried to copy it as best as he could. Soon Mareep stopped her attack, and with a roar of confidence, King unleashed the energy he had built up. It looked much like the attack Lapras had previously performed, which was good. That meant he was building more of his own energy. Well it looked as though King almost had this move completed! Just a bit more practice, and he would be able to Thunderbolt like a Pikachu.

:nidoking

Thunderbolt Learning Curve_71%

Next up was Lapras, and Mareep wasn’t going to take it easy on her. The sheep pokemon quickly built up another Thunderbolt, and let it loose on Lapras. The blue pokemon cried out in pain, because like you said, Mareep could hurt her. The pain, made concentrating on the energy a bit hard for her, but she managed to do it. Mareep quickly stopped the Thunderbolt after about seven seconds, and waited to see what Lapras would do. The ancient pokemon looked up at the sky, she could feel the energy pulsating through her body. It felt slightly weird, but she knew that she could copy the power. She began to focus, and soon she had built up enough energy to let it out. The bolt blasted away from her body, it zigzagged extremely fast through the air, before disappearing. Well, it looked like she had the move down! I’m thinking one more try, and she’d get it!

:lapras

Thunderbolt Learning Curve_82%

Ice Beam. The attack was actually coming along quite well, Swirl was trying his absolute hardest to master this move, and well, it was really paying off. He looked at the tree, and began to concentrate, if it was freezing cold his trainer wanted, then freezing cold he would get. Swirl started dropping his core temperature, which actually caused the air around him to drop a few degrees. At a point his body started telling him that it was good enough, however Swirl kept cooling. Finally he opened his little mouth, and let loose a beautiful light blue beam! It was Ice Beam, or well, a smaller version of it. The beam hit the tree, causing it to quickly ice over! He had done it, he was able to find the temperature he needed to create the beam, and was able to freeze the tree. I’m thinking one more try and he would master this move!

:poliwag

Ice Beam Learning Curve_ 90%

Last on the list was Gastly. In his last attempt of Shadow Ball, he was able to drawn the needed energy, and form it into a sphere. Now all he needed to do was to shoot the ball-like mass at his opponents, which is what you were working on now. Gastly began concentrating on shooting his attack; he pictured the ball flying from in front of him at the tree. At first the ball sort of shook, and then finally it flew! The ball sped across the ground, and soon collided into the tree causing a bit of damage. Gastly quickly was able to whip up another Shadow Ball, and launched it at the tree once again. That was it, Gastly knew exactly what to do, and his last use of Shadow Ball proved it. Shadow Ball had been taught..

Happy at all of his pokemon, Kaz went this round with a bright smile stretched out on his face that went from ear to ear. It wasn't everyday that a Nidoking and Lapras knew Thunderbolt. It isn't everyday for a young Poliwag to know Ice Beam. It was time to finish this all off and then look for two or three more pokemon before trying to get a daycare. Kazuki brought a hand up to his chin, and smoothly rubbed at the bony area. It was like any other thinking face, and her sure needed to finish these tutors.

"Nidoking, try twice more. I want you to try it twice. Hit the tree. Build up that energy, and keep to the stance and style as Mareep or a Pikachu or even an Elekid would do. Lapras, you as well, I want you to fire it twice at the tree, and focus hard."

Kazuki turned to Poliwag. It wasn't in the position to need much more then a 'try it again'. Kaz glanced at Gastly, who was just finishing up his new move. A great big smile on his face, Kaz had said congrats to the ghost, before absorbing it into a sphere. Back to Poliwag. It seemed the little tadpole was going to need a rest after this. "Poliwag, try it once more. You should have it. Concentrate on the beam more, and the freezing energy."

If the tutors were to finish, Kaz would only like to spend the night in the Pokemon Center. He had big plans for tomorrow.

(The next ref can just end at me sleeping. Crosse is going to start me off on a plot there after.)

Let’s finish these tutors up, so you can start your plot. First off was Nidoking and Lapras, you ordered them to both try and use the attack two more times apiece, and to focus on hitting a small nearby tree. The two pokemon quickly began charging themselves, feeling the power of electricity pulsating in their veins up towards their horns. At the tip of their horns, you first noticed a few spark, and then finally a burst of yellow. Two decent sized thunderbolts blasted away from your pokemon, zigzagged a bit in the air, and then finally hit the tree doing a bit of damage to it. Well that was a fantastic attempt of Thunderbolt, I believe Lapras just mastered the move, but she would use another one like you had ordered. The two quickly began to build up the energy once more, when they both were ready, they did the exact same thing as before, the only difference was that this time when the bolts hit the tree, it exploded. Well congratulations, it appears that both King and Lapras have mastered Thunderbolt!

:nidoking & :lapras

Thunderbolt Learning Curve_100%

Next up was Swirl. Your little Poliwag was doing extremely well with his Ice Beam, he just needed a little more energy. You quickly talked to the tadpole, telling him what to do, and he quickly got to work. First he began focusing on the ice energy he had been using, it was pretty cold, but he wanted it cooler. He concentrated hard on cooling the energy, and building more of it, and to be honest it was quite difficult, but he managed to pull through. Swirl, with a quick cry of his name, unleashed a perfect Ice Beam. The beam hit the tree once more, causing it to freeze over the already frozen tree! Well, looks like Swirl was done as well! Congratulations on completing all of your tutors, I don’t know about you, but I had some fun! Anyway, let’s continue.

:poliwag

After everyone completed their tutors, you quickly recalled them back into their pokeballs. They all had worked very hard today, and they deserved a good rest, and so did you. In fact, that’s where you would head to next! You walked to the Pokemon center, and got a room for the night. You curled up in the soft bed, and quickly fell asleep. Well you had a big day tomorrow; you were going on a search for some pokemon that you were wanting. Well good luck on that, and I should really end this now, that way you can start your plot sooner, so.. good luck friend!

Kazuki jumped up in joy. He was done tutoring some good moves. Ice Beam, complete. Thunderbolt, complete. Not only was Nidoking a poison expert, he was becoming diverse with other elements. This was going to be an awesome future ahead of them. It was time to get going, though. With a congrats from Kaz, he returned the three pokemon. Lapras was done; a happy customer the Trainer would be. Returning Lapras, there returned a free spot in Kazuki's party. He thought about moving Cyndaquil, Krabby, or even Geodude into the party. However, he couldn't bring himself to do it just incase something good could come his way. He'd eventually need to tutor Cyndaquil some moves, along with Krabby and Geodude. However, training would be a requirement for Krabby and Geodude after a few days of getting his team prepared.

Turning to go into the pokemon center, Kazuki stepped right in. "Hello, Nurse. I'd like to get my pokemon healed, and would very much like a room to stay the night. Please." Kaz's smile never broke from the moment he learned about the success of the tutors. It wasn't every day a Nidoking knew Thunderbolt. Much less a Lapras either.

(If you can, ref, just get me to the battle as quick as possible. You know I'd do everything in order to get it going.... )

In My Little White Room Again
Millenia Town
[Outside Pokemon Center]

Yet another ruthless day swept on past you, like a tumbleweed, minding its own business and progressing forth on its journey, bounding around any and all obstacles that may have been blocking its way. So the day had came to an end, eventually, as the sun swept past along the hills until it was consumed by the darkness that had long since began to scrabble their boney claws across the sky –leaving you and your team alone in the inky darkness. Obviously, with a sanctuary so nearby, glowing and beckoning you to come like a beacon of hope, why would you spend the night outside when you could sleep in a comfy bed? So, you recalled your team, and ran up the side of the hill, desperately wanting to seek out shelter to rest your weary mind –oh, if only you knew of the new thorn that was about to imbed itself into your thigh..nevertheless though, the nurse kindly took your team up for healing before she rummaged through her drawers, looking for a key, which she gladly handed over to you as she vocalized the floor and room number to you. She begged you a heartful goodbye before you disappeared up the stair case and began to wander through the maze of a hallway to your room, where you turned out the lights and fell into bed, lulled by the soft hum of rain pattering against the window and roof.

In the middle of the night though, as the storm overhead died down and an eerie silence swept over the plains, a ruckus was beginning to form in the sky. A harsh sound struck the dead night air, like a random clap of thunder, which threw you out of bed and onto the floor. Your heart pounding in your ears and your stomach in your throat, you would attempt to lift yourself up and reach for the window, which was washed over in raindrops; keeping the chaos outside completely shielded. The sound cracked again, like nails to a chalkboard, screeches and wails joined in with them until a deadly chorus began to form at the throat of destruction. It sounded as if beasts were tearing apart at the metal hull of the center, eating it and ripping it into shreds, so that they could crawl inside and feast on the tender flesh of the creatures who took shelter within in. Another screech filled the air, like a rabid animal that had just tasted the blood and flesh of its first kill, and another chorus of wails and raking sounds erupted immediately after that. Disturbed out of your living mind, you obviously forced yourself up, collected your team, and ran like hell out of the center to investigate. You had to fight against strong winds as the doors to the center opened (oddly, no one else seemed to be awake) as you ran out into the mushy grass and ran down the hill.

A spark of lightning overhead revealed a battlefield to you as you neared the bottom of the hill; birds, fighting, clawing, pecking, biting, tearing, screeching. The small flock of Staravia and Starly floated around slightly off of the ground, wailing, calling out in anger, as the barraged their opponent with attack after attack. The aggressor, firm and hardheaded, raised his magnificent head into the sky and cawed, spreading his wings like a monster preparing itself for flight. Blood was smeared against its face, contrasting against the metal hue of his body, as you saw a small creature twitching between its dagger like talons. Another Starly, though younger than the rest, lay helplessly in the wrath of this magnificent bird, barely clinging onto life –though all consciousness had long since abandoned him. The mother and father of the fallen youngling screeched out in horror, wanting nothing more than to tear apart the demon bird with their beaks and talons, but from what you could see they had done damage, but at the minimal at best. So, now you had a choice in your hands: aid the family, who had suffered a horrible loss from a monster’s whose fangs were dripping with their child’s blood, or help the creature who had befallen an unfortunate event; upon his hunt, to gather food so that he may survive, he stumbled across a family who were ready to kill him, ready to kill him just because he wanted to survive in this poor cruel world?

Kazuki seemed to like the new battle, and enjoyed how it played out like some scene in a movie. The lightning sparking around them in the sky, and there being a dramatic fight. The real dilemma here was which side Kazuki would take. He found a bunch of similar looking birds attacking one, and he sure as hell didn't find it right. Thinking more in depth, if they are ganging up on him, he must've done something wrong. Deciding that it had to be done, Kaz decided to find the group of Staravia and Starly. He picked three Pokeballs out from his belt, and he expanded them all by pressing the center button.

He released King, Jolt, and Swirl. His Nidoking was a member of his team who knew a powerful move, and it would come in handy. Swirl wouldn't be doing a hell of a lot of damage, but someone Kazuki wants to get experience for. Jolt is going to be the powerhouse. "Alright, listen to these plans. Why they don't notice us all the way... Swirl, use Ice Beam once on both of the bigger birds, the Staravia. Jolt, use Thunderbolt twice on the first Staravia (16), while Nidoking can use three Thunderbolts on the stronger Staravia (17)." With the battle commands in, it was only a matter of time. This was going to be awesome.

So, you decided to help the Skarmory, well I think that’s an awesome idea! More experience! Anyways, so you and your pokemon hadn’t been noticed yet, which was good, and a perfect time for a sneak attack! Swirl was first; your little Poliwag fired off a quick Ice Beam at the male Staravia, and then quickly launched a second one at the female. Luckily for the little tadpole, both attacks hit, but caused some major energy reduction.. While Swirl was attacking, so were King and Jolt. Both of your pokemon began building high doses of static within there bodies. Jolt was the first one to release the Thunderbolt, but King was right behind her. Both of the bolts zigzagged through the night sky, hitting their targets. As soon as the bolts were launched, the two began charging up for there second ones, however, the birds were on the move..

After building up the necessary electricity for their second attacks, both Jolt and King fired off Thunderbolts, however this time, the birds dodged the attacks, and the Starly’s were charging in for attack!! The strongest Starly came swooping down at Jolt using Quick Attack, which hit.. quickly.. then it turned around and hit King with another one! Next up was the strongest female, who flew at King with a Quick Attack as well, luckily he was able to dodge it.. Next up was the last female, who charged at Jolt with a Tackle attack, but like King the sheep was able to dodge the attack. Coming in last was the weakest of the Starly quintuplets who came spiraling out of the air at Swirl with a Wing Attack! The tadpole was saved however, by Jolt who used her last Thunderbolt on the said Starly, sending it to the ground fainted. Wow, that was quick.. Anyway, this battle was already crazy as hell! I guess you guys were lucky though, because the Staravia’s were still preoccupied with the Skarmory.. Well, let’s see the damage calculations!

Team Kaz!

Team Mad Bird’s!

OOC: Note: I took of an extra 5 from Swirl’s energy because he’s a level 5 using a rank B move twice.. other then that if you have any other problems or questions, just send me a Pm! I hope you enjoy your ref!- Vlad

The first round of attacks went smooth. Nothing very dangerous, at least not yet. Kazuki kept his cool, and had began to immediately strategize about what to do next. He liked the idea of picking the Starly off. One by one, fainting each as he went. Surely, Mareep would level in this battle and quite possibly evolve. The Poketch nearly read her power, and he guessed. He hoped, as well. To eventually have a Ampharos, well, that'd be awesome. Best thing is that he could do it. Eventually, because he had gotten Nidoking, and that action justified the strength of determination. Do the work, and get a prize.

This wasn't the time to ramble on inside of his head. He needed to stay focused at the battle on hand. He fainted a Starly, easily. Poliwag was the one needing levels the most. Though, he would be drained of all of his energy with some of the attacks he'd do. Lowering the level of the enemy, maybe the tadpole can go down to the Starly at Level 13. Wait, Kazuki had thought of the perfect plan for this round. Doing quick calculations of the battles he has been in, he could do some good damage to the youngest Starly with Mareep.

"Mareep, focus hard, use two Thunderbolts. One on the Starly over there (Lvl 10) and the other in that direction (Lvl 11). Focus hard, because if you hit them, you could faint them. Nidoking, always stand as a wall for Poliwag. Fire off a Thunderbolt at the Staravia (lv.16), and when it comes in for an attack, use Poison Jab. If it doesn't come in for an attack, use Thunderbolt again. As for Poliwag, I know this may be hard on you, but use two Ice Beams are the Starly (Lv 13) that isn't getting attacked by Mareep."

  • Mareep -- Thunderbolt on Lv.10 and Lv.11 Starly, once each.
  • Nidoking -- Thunderbolt on Lv.16 Staravia, Poison Jab if close, Thunderbolt if not.
  • Poliwag -- Ice Beam x2 on lv.13 Starly.

[Outside Pokemon Center]

I know you felt that the attacks of your first round felt “smooth”, but hell man, if you took a real good look around at the chaos that was erupting beneath your feet you would soon forget the very sensation of “smooth”. Lightning shrieked overhead as dark and ominous clouds loomed over the Pokemon Center which sat at the top of the hill, like a beacon of hope in the darkness, as the dull clouds idled overhead –unsure of where to go. The crack of thunder here and there blotted your ears from the chaos of battle; it wasn’t till now that you could hear, very vividly might I add, all of the caws and screeches of the birds that had taken flight and were flying around you and your team like a vulture, but to live prey. The snapped their beaks out of anger and justification, but, you stood your ground out in front of the Skarmory who, looking at him now, seemed to forget about the whole ordeal and went back to feasting on the mass of torn and mutilated flesh that was slopped beneath his talons. The family of birds, grieving over their young one and blinded by rage, luckily, did not see this act; for if they did, you could ensure that the outcomes of this day would be so bloody that even the piercing rain couldn’t wash it away.

You had a plan though; you had a plan and a team that could, in essence, potentially take down this entire squad and receive the benefits from all of them. And all you needed to do was to just duel out your cards right, have a little kiss from lady luck, and perhaps you could get through this without one of these birds swooping down through the sky and imbedding their talons into your face. That wouldn’t be pleasant; perhaps the complete opposite of luck, wouldn’t it be? That of course begs the question: if there is such thing as a “Lady Luck”, then, to complete and make the cycle whole, there would have to be a “Master of Misfortune”? Seems right, doesn’t it? I actually just made up that term right of the bat and now, avoiding the rest of this ref, I am going to surf the interwebs to see if there is such a creation –because if not, I’m a fucking genius. And, would you believe that, no definition or meaning of the phrase..I’ll be damned. Well, trying my hardest to get back on track from a day chalk full of community service, I’ll move our sites to the actual battle at hand. First of though, we’ll focus on Mareep, since she seemed to have the most fortune in this battle then the others.

This little sheep, who went through tutor after tutor with you; who tutored with you so much that she could have possibly vomited her innards and still would have not felt any better with the sore head she must have received from such a feat, took her stance on the battle field and prepared for combat. Her first orders of destructions was a single Thunderbolt directed towards one Starley, then another Thunderbolt at another Starley. The first one the attack had hit, directed towards the younger Starley, had managed to completely knock the little one out, and the other attack nearly fainted the other. He still managed to cling on though, and with a big burst of adrenaline he shot forth and Tackled Mareep not once, not twice, but three times back to back to back right after he had received major damage. Of course, this was barely a scratch on Jolts fur, but still it seemed as if all the little one wanted to do was to leave some sort of mark.

Beast, who quickly took his place in front of the small tadpole as a giant block of pure beastliness, would prove to be more than a decent protector for his little friend. As the giant turned his focus to the stronger of the flock, Swirl, tried to give a good little peck at one of the untouched enemies. He hit the Starley with his two consecutive Ice Beams, but it still didn’t seem to make much of an impact on his health despite the type advantage. Beast, all the while, had landed his first Thunderbolt on the female Staravia, when he noticed something odd in his presence. He turned to check on Swirl, who was hiding between his legs, when he noticed the one Starly who the little one was taking a dive bomb down towards his friend –if he touched it would have been the end of Swirl. So, taking his attention off of the Staravia, he focused on the poisonous energy in his fist and SLAMMED down into the bird just as it was a mere FOOT away from Swirl. The bird fell down into the ground, still conscious, but with a crippled wing. The mother and father Staravia, during this time though, took advantage of the distraction and pelted him with two separate Wing Attacks. But with that, this round was finally over.

Kazuki was experiencing some good fortune, or had it been luck? His powerhouse Nidoking was doing good, but Mareep had an even better power. Poliwag would already get enough experience for a level or two. Either way, this was a win, and Kazuki knew it. He gave a sigh, and closed his eyes. He wanted to pick some of the best plans for finishing most, if not all of the opponents off. He estimated and tried calculating everything within his head. His mental abilities had grown sense starting out, so this would all help. He had it, or, at least he thought he did. He'd of course have to see how it played out.

"Poliwag, try to use Ice Beam on the Starly (Level 11), and if one doesn't do it, then use it again." That should be, and hopefully will be enough to finish it off. Now for the other two. Mareep had power, so it was only right to stick her with one of the strongest, or the actual strongest. Kaz decided to attack the main bird. "Mareep, use two Thunderbolts on the strongest Staravia!" If that worked, it'd be the end to the threats. "Nidoking, this may be confusing. Use Thunderbolt on the Starly (Level 13) and then use Strike on the Staravia (Level 16), and then... well, for the hell of it, use Thunderbolt on Skarmory." Kaz did indeed say Skarmory. The birds weren't enough. Kaz had hopes of a daycare, and what better then to have a flying vessel. Of course, Kaz would promise to take good care of it.

Saying that this battle was chaotic would be a severe would probably be one of the worst understatements of the century, seeing as how I am currently losing track of who attacked who and who did what; but we’ve all had our personal hells when it came to reffing battles, and this so happens to be mine, and being that I was the one who came up with this horrible plot and so now I have to live through it. Anyways though, things now were going escalate and get a lot more aggressive, especially because you were about to finish one part of the battle and therefore had to move onto the next section. Before we change our course of action, I think it would be best that I explained what happened during your current battle.

First we will start with Swirl, your little Poliwag, who was hiding behind the massive legs of Beast the Nidoking. The little one quickly took aim at his enemy and fired his attack, the ice beam hitting the one bird dead center in its chest, and he watched with amusement as the bird fell to the ground –when another Starley snuck up from behind and gave him a good Tackle! Luckily the little one managed to hold on, but if he received any more hits he would surely be done for.

Mareep quickly fired off her attacks towards the strongest Staravia, dealing quite a good bit of damage, when someone somewhere swooped down from the heavens and slashed against the sheep, causing her to stumble backwards. Another bird came down from a different level and did some more damage, but the sheep still managed to hold her ground during this fight, and now she held her head high as she watched her target fall to the ground and crashing into the earth with a heavy thud. Nidoking, who was also one of the main fighters in the epic duel, quickly tossed out his attacks and did some massive damage of his own. The first Thunderbolt struck home and caused an foe to fall, a mighty and heavy Strike with his fist caused the another to have their face meet the earth, and then he turned around to prepare for his assault on the Skarmory.

Looking over to him, he fired off a Thunderbolt, which zoomed into the air and headed towards its opponent. The Skarmory’s red eyes shot open as the lightning bolt shot across the sky towards him, when he took off into the air and dodged with perfect evasiveness. Not wasting a second though, the seriously irritated fiend shot off across the field towards Beast and dug his mighty beak into the creatures flesh, not once, but twice, and both of them doing serious damage to your massive poison beast. Roaring, the creature managed to shake off the pain and refocus his attention, along with Swirl and Jolt. You and your team only had one enemy left now, and he most defiantly wasn’t going down without a fight…

Derping... All Day, Every Day!
Kazuki smiled at the turn of events. He had fainted all of the birds, and now there was just one. As you probably wonder, Skarmory IS a bird, and isn't fainted, so the sentence before will throw you off. Wrong, because Kazuki considers Skarmory his new friend, with plans of capturing the steel type. It was just so many hit points away, but yet felt so close. Now, he had three pokemon out, and two with super effective moves against it. Whether it would dodge more often then get hit, well, he had to try. Slowly, Kaz's smile turned into a frown. He could see by their body language that the pokemon were getting tired, and being exhausted would not help them in the battle. They had to try. "Nidoking and Mareep, you two can do this! Aim very carefully; use Thunderbolt as many times as you can. Nidoking can use it three times, while Mareep can use it twice. Poliwag, you may not have the best time, but try using Ice Beam. Even if you catch a wing, or leg, you could slow it down."

The battle would be rather dull if the Skarmory did fly around, evading most of their attacks. He needed a back up plan. Kaz released Velix and Gastly. They each would be learning something. Velix had only a couple of choices to go on, while Gastly had a longer list of moves recorded on the Poketech for Kaz to tutor. His pokemon were not about being strong, but just having a collection of moves, to never really run out. Thinking it was better to start now, Kaz separated both of them.

"Velix, you will be learning Confuse Ray. I want you to focus on the power Confusion and Psychic come with. They have a chance to confuse the enemy that gets hit, but Confuse Ray is solely the status inflicting. There is no damage, but we need to take baby steps. Use after building, the energy it takes for Psychic, since it is stronger, and try to take out the lifting and chaos factor. Instead, try to make the beam a more dense shot, with just the purpose of confusing the enemy. Fire it at Poliwag AFTER he tries this round."

"Gastly, you are going to be doing the opposite. Instead of a status ailment inflicting move, you're sole purpose is learning a strong move. Let's take Dark Pulse. It is a beam-like attack compressed with what seems to be tentacles of dark energy. We're going to be using Shadow Ball as a means to it. Build the energy into a sphere, but let it swirl more. Don't build it with ghost energy, but a dark energy. I know you have it in you. Dark thoughts like murder and evil pranks, and all that... good stuff. After compressing it, fire it off as tentacles, and not just as a focused beam. Make sure not to have it go all over the place, though!"
