When the stars stop shining, dreams will shatter before your eyes. Know that you're not alone!
You walked through the crime-filled town of Kitjutsu, your pokeball safely in-between your holy hands. (Which have done nothing unholy with…right? *wink*) The sun was setting, leaving you alone of the darkening street. It was probably not a good time to be out in the public, not that you had much choice in the matter. As shops started to close, and people turned off their lights, you looked around wondering what was going on. It seemed that around here, people were afraid of what happened in the darkness.

Maybe it was time to get back to a Pokécenter? Wandering around at night was never a good idea, especially in a town like this. You turned around, and saw a massive person appear in front of a small girl. “Hello there little beauty, what do you got there?” he spoke, smiling a little. The girl stammered a bit, trying to reply. “It..It’s m…my Pokémon.” He started to tear up a bit, obviously scared out of her mind.

The massive guy cracked his knuckles, so loud you could hear it clearly. “ Aw, how cute. Maybe you should hand it over, last thing I need to do is take it with force…” he smiled, his extremely white teeth perfectly visible in the darkness. The little girl screamed, collapsing on the ground. Oh no! That big man was about to harm a little girl! There were a lot of options, but there were some you didn’t want to consider doing, but maybe you shouldn’t get involved.

Today was good. Today he was free and they were together and neither of them had anything more to worry about. He would never need to spend another minute trapped in cramped darkness. Likewise, this girl who had so suddenly become his trainer would never have to sit in silence like a porcelain doll. Estelle... No, Stella. She was his hope for a new beginning.

He pondered this while contained in the Sphere. In the Sphere there wasn't much else to do but think. Similar to the Cage, but with a lot more freedom. Perhaps it was strange that he didn't long for the freedom of the outside world... His body felt light and weightless as he drifted through the pastel clouds, each seemingly hand-painted. Of course, in all likelihood this colorful backdrop was an illusion created by the human mechanism, but it was soothing. So he relaxed until such a time as he was needed to protect Stella.

Then the walls shook.

Wait, walls?

The lining of the Sphere expanded, intricate metallic arms stretching and aligning exactly right. The Velix was pulled out of his reverie and glanced around. "Prepare to be transported," a robotic voice said in perfect Pokespeech, managing to alert him moments before his body began to glow with the familiar red light. He realized that in a few brief seconds he would be standing beside Stella, ready to assist her in whatever task was at hand.

"OH, COME ON!"

Velix did the Pokémon equivalent of a facepalm. His first mission was to take down some big ugly dude? Humans were so reta... Wait, who was the other person? Trotting forward lightly, he began to pick up their scent. Human female... Fairly young, not yet fully matured. And what, this fugly guy is trying to hurt her? Now that's just sad. Why is it humans have some bizarre need to always be in control? he wondered. Seeing the young girl was obviously afraid, he sat back on his haunches and placed a paw on her arm. "Don't worry," he told her, despite knowing full well that she wouldn't understand. No human would ever be able to understand.

"Ain't it time you asked yourself what would Jesus do?" Velix glanced back at his trainer and tilted his head. She was standing in a very dramatic "heroine" pose, with one hand on her hip and one hand pointed directly at today's "villain." He sweatdropped. "What you're doing is a sin. Come any closer to her and I will take it upon myself to show you the power of God's children!"

Of course, Velix had no idea what God or Jesus was. He could only guess that Stella was referring to Arceus's human form. Still, he wasn't going to bring it up in the middle of a fight, so instead he concerned himself with the fallen human. "Send out the Pokémon," he suggested, leaning forward to nudge the tightly gripped Sphere in her hands. Admittedly, he was incredibly curious as to the creature dwelling within the red and white mechanism. He had had little interaction with other Pokémon in his life and didn't want to keep it that way.

So.. you were trying to play heroine? It didn't help that you had your very own somewhat corny catch phrase. Though, it was truly humorous. Well, whenever you were done playing Sailor Moon, you could get back to saving the girl. Come to think about it.. didn't it look like a horrible scene? A little girl. Alone. In the streets at night. Big creepy fugly man. Well.. hopefully you understand what I meant by it. Either way, it was unhol! it was a sin! And in the name of the moon, it was your duty to punish him! Wait.. in the name of the moon? My bad. This isn't Sailor Moon. Ahem. The little girl seemed to be relieved that you were there to help. She felt more at ease now that there was someone to help and potentially protect her.

After your Velix was called out of its previous resting place, it made its way over to the little girl, trying to tell her to bring out her other Pokemon, though the human could only hear the Pokemon speaking its name. Your Velix was smart though. Two versus one is regrettable cheap, but it was effective, more so now that you had to protect the girl. Nevertheless, the girl took the hint, and called out her Pokemon. A flash of red light took place, before revealing the Buneary that the female possessed. Well, it was a good Pokemon, I suppose. But definitely good enough to partner with and potentially scare the man away.

Sadly, he didn't budge. He seemed more irritated now, but looking at things, he decided it'd be better this way. In his mind he felt as though he could get two Pokemon, and maybe some other sick and dirty thoughts. A sin! Punish this son of a bi-.. I mean.. Show this man the divine punishment! He reached into his pocket, pulling out a pokeball, enlarging it before calling out his Pokemon. Similar to the big man's bulky form, his Pokemon was also rather bulky and muscular. A geodude appeared before the two of you, standing there, or rather.. floating there. Odd how it did that, isn't it? "Step aside girl. This doesn't concern you, unless you'd like to have your Velix taken away. In that case, I'd be more than obliged to take it from you." said the male as he licked his lips.

Well.. now it looks like a battle is inevitable. But not exactly.. you could still grab the girl and run, though its unknown how far you could possibly get before he caught up with you again. Regardless, there were still other options. Would you stand and fight? Or run?

See, this was why he didn't care for most humans. They were burly and grotesque and had stupid rock Pokémon to allude to their supposed strength. As far as this Velix was concerned, young female humans were the only humans worth paying attention to. Never mind that he had only met four adult humans compared to two little girls. He might have been a lowly Pokémon, but already he was picking up on stereotypes. Isn't that cute?

"Ah, a Normal-type. I, too, am part Normal," the psychic-fox spoke to his newly materialized ally, the Buneary. "We don't have much time for introductions, so suffice it to say I am a Velix. I'm not the most experienced, but I'll certainly do what I can." He offered the rabbit Pokémon a soft smile. She was certainly a pretty specimen to behold, but he wasn't a chauvinist. Turning to face their designated opponents, he tensed his leg muscles, preparing to sprint. "You distract the Rock-type. I'll go for the human."

Was it fair? Not really, but let's look at the situation. Was there anything fair about threatening a little girl? This Velix felt no shame in his strategy. An eye for an eye, jerkwad! So, hoping the Buneary would hold up her part of the bargain so to speak, he bolted towards the thuggish male human. Most of his body was covered in clothes, so the Velix surmised that his best bet would be to reach the face and use Scratch on the exposed skin.

It was likely a frontal approach would be suicide for this endeavor, so he planned to bolt through the man's legs, then turn and spring up onto his back. The fox's claws would surely be enough to cling to the human, and he could easily climb up and reach the neck/face area once he got that far. However, the Geodude could be quite the hindrance, so he'd have to act fast if he wanted to spare the Buneary any unnecessary damage. Hopefully, his plan of attack would cause the aggressive male human to really consider just what he was trying to do. Was it too much to hope the man fled? Possibly.

Take a look at the situation for a moment, you and a helpless little girl with your Velix and her Buneary, against big macho man over there tagging with a mighty Geodude. If you want my advice, it would be to scream for help. Even if you win, by the looks of it, neither of you would have any more Pokemon to defend yourself, and something tells me this guy wouldn’t mind using his fists to get things settled.

But you want to charge into this situation? Good luck. You’re right, you won’t be able to beat the Geodude with just elementary tactics, you’ll have to do a bit of dirty fighting. Kinda funny how a little princess-type creature like you has to stoop to this level, but I guess this constitutes as self defense.

Velix charged at the big oaf, while Buneary ran around the Geodude, listening to Velix’s plan. She chirped at the Geodude, “Bun-bun eary!” Which translated into human talk would be, “I’ll slit your throat you pathetic excuse for a doorstop! I’m going to grind your Fudging body into a pebble, than throw it in a sewer so you can be with the rest of your family, you piece of shit!” Whoa, Buneary’s got attitude!

Seizing the moment, Velix dove forward and charged into the possible pedophile, taking him by suprizing. There wasn’t really too much he could do to defend himself against the claws other than thrash around wildly, howling in pain. Velix shrieked and hissed, adding to the commotion, all the while striking and clawing the man up as much as possible.

Geodude, taken back for a moment, ignored his trainer’s commands to “Beat that bunny in oblivion" and actually hovered back a few paces. I think he was getting scared! But who could blame him? Geodude rolled up into a ball, strengthening his defense and trying to gain some confidence back after being verbally abused. Buneary took this opportunity to pound Geodude with her ears, screaming at him all the more, “I’ll kill you! I’LL KILL YOU! I’ll rip your arms off and stake them right through that revolting body of yours! You’re going to bleed, you’re going to die!!” But the humans just heard some innocent, “Bun-bun-bun-eary!” I don’t know if you expected to team up with a psycho Buneary, but there ya go.

Remember how I said you should’ve called for help? Well… now it’s too late. The noises of battle combined with the man’s scream for a medic and his mother got the attention of some passerbier. But this wasn’t just any regular ol’ pedestrian. “Hey, what’s going on there!” the mystery man screamed, utilizing all the authority he could muster, “Stop, in the name of the law!” He blew his whistle and charged at the group.

The scene must’ve confused him; a grown man being ripped to shred by a cat, a Buneary pummeling a whispering Geodude into submission, one girl one the ground, her face still frozen with shock, and you. Seeming like you were the only one who wasn’t mangled physically or mentally, the police Officer flashed his badge and said, “Stop this right now! What the hell is going on?!”

Better get to explaining.

Truth be told, Velix didn't even notice what was going on around him. He vaguely heard the Buneary's vulgar destruction of the Geodude's ego, and smirked a bit. However, his main priority was to ensure this man would turn tail and run from these vulnerable young females. Isn't that what males were supposed to do? Protect the weaker sex? Well, maybe Buneary would disagree with that statement, so he'd keep it to himself.

However, it seemed like only a second had passed before Stella's voice rang out. "That's enough, Velix!" He paused for only a split second, before leaping off the man and to the ground, where he returned to his trainer's side. "Why? What's the matter?" he asked the new human who had approached, but his Pokespeech was largely ignored, it seemed.

"That man tried to steal this poor girl's Pokémon!" Stella announced loudly for the whole neighborhood to hear. "I told him it was a sin, but he left me no choice, sir! I had to bestow God's wrath." She gave the policeman a salute, as if she was a trainee or something. Once again, Velix wished he could facepalm, so he wandered away from the interrogation. It seemed Stella could defend herself without his help, so he decided to check on the other two.

"Buneary, are you all right? No injuries? Seems you really did a number on Geodude! How is your trainer?" Velix asked politely, once he had affirmed that Buneary was in no mortal danger. Truth be told, he was relieved that his insanely religious trainer had chosen to spare Buneary from being stolen by that creepy man with the Geodude. Even if she had a tongue that would make Stella faint ... But thankfully Stella couldn't understand Pokespeech.

The officer stopped and looked at the scene, unsure at first as to what to believe, but a quick survey proved to him that the girl with the Velix was indeed telling the truth. He nodded and pulled out his handcuffs. "Ok sir, i'm going to take you into custody, your under arrest for attempting to steal pokemon," his voice trailed off as he made his way towards his unit and put the man in the car before coming back to you and nodded. "We appreciate the help you did for this girl, ricking your own pokemon to save this Buneary and its trainer. Very brave, you've got the potential to be a good officer," He said and went to check on the girl.

As he is questioning the girl you notice something on the ground. Its a bit of money the ugly man dropped, and further inspection shows its 45$. Wow what a find and its all for you, if you choose to take it. Before you get a chance to the officer comes up to you again. "Look, i questioned the girl and the story checks out. If your interested the i have a proposition for you. There is a mission that we police need taken care of but we are a bit to busy to handle it at the moment. On the eastern section of the town is an abandoned warehouse which has been taken over by a group of wild pokemon. Lately they have been attacking random people and we need someone to take care of this for us, if your interested there is a reward in it for ya. Just take this to the police station and give it to the lady at the counter and tell her officer Harrison told you to ask about the job, she'll fill you in on all of the details." He said and handed you a slip of paper and then left.

As he is walking away the girl comes up to you, eyes twinkling with obvious hero worship. "Thank you so much, you saved me and my Buneary from that nasty man. I was wondering, could i travel with you for a while? I want to become stronger and if you'd help me i would appreciate it." The girl said, looking at you, tears forming in the corners of her eyes.

Well, looks like you've got a bit of a decision to make, first about that money on the ground, no one has claimed it, no one seems to have seen it actually. Second about the possibility of a job that pays, and third the girl who wants to travel with you. Decisions decisions decisions.

Well, it seemed that most of Stella's problems were now out of the way. The human in blue took the scary human away, and the Buneary's human seemed to be in better spirits, so Velix let out a sigh of relief. Crisis averted ... Well, for now. Glancing around, he spotted something odd on the ground. There was a little rectangular green thing. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was a stack of paper. Where had he seen these paper things before? Shrugging to himself, he stooped forward and picked up the stack of money in his teeth. While humans would have known better than to put an inherently dirty item such as money in their mouths, Velix was a mere Pokémon who hadn't been educated in the ways of unsanitary humans.

"Does this belong to your human?" Velix asked Buneary, though his words were somewhat muffled by the paper in his mouth. However, before she could respond, Stella began to talk loudly and dramatically, snagging his attention. "Protect everyone from dangerous Pokémon? Sounds important. I should help." He heard Buneary's trainer asking to tag along, and the fox Pokémon smiled a bit. He liked Buneary's crazy, fearless attitude and wouldn't mind getting to know her better. "You? Become my sidekick? Sure! Let's work together to help the police. Now pull yourself together! This way!"

That said, Stella took off running down the sidewalk, energetic as ever. After a few moments, however, she stopped short. "Wait, which way is the police station? We have to give them this piece of paper so we can help out!" Velix, who had been trying to get Buneary's trainer's attention to give her the human currency, sighed and chased after her. He couldn't risk the two of them getting seperated, after all.

So now, the hero gains a side kick. Everyone needs a little comedy relief, but how much is this girl really going to be? The insane Buneary is going to be a lot more fun than your fan girl. Ah well, you will find some way to manage, I'm sure of that.

The two of you started running off in a heroic fashion with Velix trailing behind. However, between the two of you, neither of you knew where the Police Station was located. Most likely a big problem, but the girl suggested going in the direction that Harrison went. It's worth a shot.

Following the general direction of the police cruiser, luckily in the same direction as you were already heading, you two walked through some pretty rough neighborhoods. One in particular, reveiled three shady characters with long jackets and about ten or so ladies of the evening at the street corner. A religious fannatic like you would have a field day with all these sinners.

Depending on how long you lectured, you finally made it out of there and continued on your way. The streets started getting cleaner and you soon found yourself at the police station. You made it and they were still open to guests. Going inside, you two found a rather spacious forum and one lone girl at the front desk. Looking up, she smiled and said, "Oh, so you two must be the ones that Harrison told me about." You handed her the paper and she continued speaking, "Right, right. The abandoned building," she muttered to herself. Returning her attention to you, she said, "You see, there is abandoned building not too far from here that a few wild Pokemon have taken residence in. Wild Pokemon have been known to hide in buildings, but this bunch have also been attacking people on the street, so you can tell it has gotten bad. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem for the officers, but there is always something else going on that is more important. Anyway, if you are willing to take care of the wild Pokemon for us, we will pay you for your services." She held out a slip of paper, saying, "Here are the directions to the building if you need them, but it's just as easy to tell you to walk five blocks south from here. There is only one boarded-up building on that intersection, so it will be easy to find." So then, will you take the job to remove the wild Pokemon and protect the peace, or go find something else to do with your sidekick?

The men and women dealing in (undoubtedly) shady business were of no interest to Stella Mae. She was, at best, a naive girl, and unless the sin was right out in the open where she could declare it for what it was, she simply looked past it, on to the next adventure. Her sidekick was decidedly more rooted in reality than she was - during much of the walk to the police station she daydreamed. A few times during the walk, she was jarred out of her fantasyland to find the Velix pawing at her to get her attention. She was being left behind by her partner in justice. She didn't notice the money clutched in her Pokémon's teeth until the fourth time she was pulled out of her reverie.

"Where'd you get that from?" she demanded to know, taking the cash away from him and looking at it, as though the name of the said money's owner would be written on the front. Obviously, it wasn't, so she frowned and began to chastise him. "I hope you didn't steal that, Velix. You should know better. We don't need to steal to live happily." Though she pocketed the cash all the same.

When they made it to the receptionist at the police station, Stella seemed invigorated by the woman's words, as though by some far stretch of reality Stella and her friend Whoever (as no name had yet been given or asked for) were the last remaining hope Kijutsu had of protecting the world from the mutant demons lodged in the warehouse. Obviously, Stella's imagination was running full speed ahead, and the girl clasped her hands and nodded vigorously at the task they so desperately needed her to accomplish.

"You can count on us!" she declared to the receptionist, pumping a fist into the air in true genki fashion. "Come on, sidekick!" Taking her buddy by the sleeve, she forcibly dragged (or attempted to, at least) the poor girl out of the station and onto the streets of Kijutsu. "First stop, the Pokémon Center!" she declared, pulling Sidekick along as she veered left. Stella then abruptly came to a halt, puzzled. "Wait, which way is the Pokémon Center?"

Once more, she was pawed at by her Velix. Once the fox had secured his trainer's attention for at least the next few seconds, he yipped and pointed his snout across the street. Lo and behold, the Pokémon Center's gleaming double doors beckoned to them. "Oh ... Good work, Velix!" Stella remarked, before promptly jaywalking and dashing into the Center. "Alright Sidekick, you're in charge of taking the Pokémon to Nurse Joy. Make sure she heals them up good, 'cause they'll need all their strength for this mission. Meanwhile, I have some business to attend to." Winking, the girl turned and waited in line until it was her turn to use the PC.

"Deposit $200 ... Andddd ... There! Yay, a Skorupi!" the girl muttered to herself in a little singsong voice. The trade, posted on her poketech from a boy named Yuki, was a fair and worthwhile venture; it only took a few extra seconds to withdraw the scorpion from its digital dwellings, and within moments she had a cute purple mascot adorning her left shoulder. With that accomplished, she turned to look for Sidekick and Velix. Hopefully the (as of yet) unnamed girl had managed to heal both of their Pokémon without incident.

Alright, after accepting the job, the two of you casually made your way over to the Pokemon Center. There never seems to be anything exciting going on in there besides the mass of people. So, Sidekick took your Velix and her Buneary to be healed while you went to the PC. After a quick trade with a certain Yuki, you had a happy little Skorupi as a second partner for the small price of $200. The scorpion was already fully healed, so you only needed to wait for Sidekick. You saw her at the front of the line, just now receiving Buneary and Velix from the attending nurse. Joy must have been elsewhere. She walked over to you, handing your Velix back to you.

With everything in order, you two headed out and down the street to the specified intersection. Once there, you saw that the building was nearly completely boarded up from the front. It was an old brick structure of five stories. As you stood there contemplating your entry, Sidekick spoke up, "Stella, I just realized I never told you my name; it's Robin." After a pause, she said, "I've got your back." She nodded before motioning you to lead the way. You struggled to take down a few of the boards on the door so you could get in. It wasn't locked, much to your advantage.

Once inside, you had a quick look around. There were all sorts of old furnature scattered around with sheets covering them. Layers of dust covered them and the floor. Although, all this dust made it easier to see foot prints left by humans and Pokemon. There were quite a few sets traveling up and down the staircase. Using your keen observational skills, you could deduce that the Pokemon you seek are upstairs somewhere. As you walked across the open room, a Rattata popped out from under a sofa, blocking your access to the staircase. He didn't look too strong, but looks can be deceiving. So, who are you going to send out, Velix or Skorupi?

After spending so long trapped in a PC, riding around on a cute girl's shoulder was like a slice of heaven with his name written in red icing on top. Skorupi didn't really care where the humans were taking him, so long as it was far away from a computer of any kind. It was nice to be able to stretch his mandibles! "Nice to meet you," he greeted his new trainer, who glanced at him as she walked, grinning toothily.

"Meet the newest addition to the Justice Team - Skorupi!" Stella told Sidekick, who had recently admitted to having a name of her own. But what kind of name was Robin, anyhow? That was like ... a species of bird, or a popular fictional character from a children's book. Sidekick was a much better name for her. More descriptive, too. It removed all doubt that she was, in fact, not the main character in this story. But Skorupi didn't care either way. Cute girls~ What would the world be without them? Don't dwell on it or you'll lose your spirit!

"So where did you come from, anyway?" Skorupi glanced down to find another Pokémon following his trainer. Some fox-looking thing - he couldn't really be bothered to remember what its species name was. "I was raised in captivity," he answered the Velix idly, his tail twitching at the thought of his human captors. "I spent a long time in a PC, waiting and waiting. And now I'm here, with these two lovely ladies ... Which is cuter, I wonder~?"

"Ugh ..." The Velix rolled his eyes, but Skorupi ignored him. He was just jealous that Stella didn't let HIM ride on her shoulder! "There's a staircase up ahead!" Stella pointed out, but moments later a Rattata came to block their path. The blonde frowned slightly, then glanced at Robin. "Robin, do you want to-- Ugh. No, I'm sorry. I can't call you Robin unless you call me Batman. Anyway, Sidekick, did you want to fi--?"

"POISON SHOT!" Skorupi yelled out bravely as he scuttered down Stella's body and onto the ground, racing to the Normal type while preparing to use a Poison Sting attack. "And while you're impaled on my toxic spears, I'll jump in for a nasty bite! DARKNESS CHOMP!"

Velix sweatdropped. "What the- Are you just making stuff up? Even I know the names of my own attacks. Dumbass."

Um, yeah, this isn't awkward at all. *sweatdrop* Anyway, it appears as though the Rattata won't let you get by. Thus, Skorupi took it upon himself to take out the rat. If only he were smarter, it would be a miracle. Let's get on with it.

Skuttling with great speed, the scorpion dived right into the battle, launching an array of Poison Sting at the Rattata. A few jabbed into his skin, doing damage. However, he didn't seem phased much by it. Instead he ran headlong with the poisonous barbs sticking out of his back. Skorupi took the opportunity to lunge at the rat and caught him with his jaws in a devistating Bite. The Rattata's attack all but failed, so he took to flailing around and Striking Skorupi once in the face. The rat slipped loose and backed off. He didn't look too happy or healthy, but would live to fight another round.

Meanwhile, Robin took to looking around the rest of the floor. There wasn't much besides furnature covered in sheets and dust. Still, she wandered and eventually found something sparkling in the sink of the kitchen. Upon closer inspection, it was a Potion. She quickly returned to the main room at the sound of battle taking off and showed you the bottle. It looked rather new and unused. Could be convenient and who knows what else might be scattered around by these Pokemon. You can bet better stuff will be upstairs if they have anything of the sort.

As you pondered this, a message popped up on your Poketech. Apparently, someone pulled your name in a random lottery, and you won a Clefairy and a Drifloon. There was no sender name, just marked "Anon." Suspicious? Ah, what does it matter, you now have two more friends and partners in this mad little quest. Anyway, your move.

It seemed Sidekick had proved her worth after all. "Good work," Stella nodded absently, accepting the potion. "Maybe there's an injured Pokémon here that the other Pokémon are trying to protect. More importantly, what the hell is this thing?" With her pointer finger, she indicated the floating pink marshmallow of a Pokémon, who had recently been sent out from her holding cell into the dank, dusty world that was a warehouse. She scowled at having been referred in the same manner as one would refer to a chair or a bowl of soup. Beside her, the Drifloon merely raised her long, slender arms in a shrugging motion. If she was trying to mollify the Clefairy, she failed entirely.

"Eh? It resisted Toxin Array. I must think of a new strategy..." the Skorupi declared, fidgeting slightly on his many legs. Whether he was talking this loudly on purpose remained to be seen. "Okay, this time I'll use Hell's Teeth first, then go in for the Noxious Pins."

"You can't keep changing the names!" Velix shouted, his tail flicking furiously from side to side. "Arceus, you're so incompetent. Next time, I'm battling."

"Is everyone here fuucking crazy?!" Clefairy finally spoke, exasperated. "I'm one of the most popular Pokémon on the planet, how could this bitch not know who I am?" She stared around at everyone. The only people who hadn't immediately set off red flags were the Drifloon and the other human, the one her trainer had referred to as Sidekick. "And why does she have a Southern accent?!?" she demanded after a thought.

"Never mind that, why does everyone seem to have stolen their personalities from One Piece?" the Drifloon pondered aloud, much to everyone's surprise. After a moment of staring, she sweatdropped. "What? Don't tell me you don't see it! Velix is Zoro, Skorupi is Sanji, Clefairy's Nami, and our trainer is as brainless as Luffy. As for me ... Uhm ... I guess that makes me Robin. Heh, yay."

Do I even want to know... No, it probably isn't worth my sanity trying to understand that. So, I'll just continue onward from my awesome evening of anime delight and work out this battle. FYI, it wasn't One Piece, but we did watch a good AMV of Sanji kicking arse with a cigarette hanging from his lips. Mad badassery... continuing on...

Sanji, I mean, Skorupi rushed toward the Rattata in a fool-hardy attempt at Bite. The rat had time to counter it with a very simple technique, Tail Whip. His tail came around, right into the mouth of Skorupi. Rattata screamed and flailed something fierce but the scorpion held tight. Both received a bit of damage from the rat's recklessness of his Strikes. Finally, Skorupi jabbed his stinger into Rattata's side, injecting him with potent poison. The Poison Sting got the job done, poisoning the rat and ending the battle there with a decisive victory for the pirates.

With that grease spot out of the way, the staircase is now completely open and inviting, if you like spooky abandoned buildings and horror movies. Regardless, there are still more Pokemon delinquents that need taken care of. Now, whether you bothered to capture the Rattata is completely up to you, but Robin might just catch him if you don't, not that it would help you in any way right now.

Still, the stairs beckoned you to climb them and climb you did. On that floor, you found a rather spacious office room with the same sort of decoration as the first floor. White sheets covered all the major furnature and dust and dirt covered the sheets. This will probably be the same throught the building, but there was one difference. A small blue-hooded creature sat sleeping on the ground near the next set of stairs. Although, as you approached, a Meowth ran in from another room and stood before you, ready to battle. The sleeping creature woke up and looked around before seeing intruders to fight. Hmm, so you have two Pokemon to face this time, a Meowth and an Eauesprit. Just how will you fair this time?
