Overlord of Random
The world around you was desolate and barren. This was paradise to you and your kind, little Trapinch. The arid air of the Meteoric Plains felt comfortable to you as your short stubby legs carried you over the dead or dying grass that covered the field in a nice amber color. Today couldn't be any better unless you managed to find a treasure trove of berries and never go hungry for the rest of your life.

A rustling could be heard from a nearby dead bush. Normally the leaves would have all fallen off and you'd be able to identify the culprit, but this bush held a lot of leaves still on it. A few would fall off when it shook, but the rest stayed glued in place. As curiosity got the better of you, you decided to go closer to examine this weird phenomenon.

"Bzzt. Bzzt. GO AWAY!" A quick electric shock was released from the bush catching the dead leaves on fire. The sight of the fire was a bit frightening and yet exciting. Then the comedy was added as a Magnemite flew out at top speed screaming "AIEEEEE"

"Bzzt, Look what you made me do! They'll find me now! Bzzt." The Magnemite looked a bit flustered, but seeing as it was just a floating eyeball, it was hard to tell what look it was making unless it was obvious. If you looked towards the horizon you'd notice a small cloud of dust raising into the air. From where you were you couldn't tell what they were, but the Magnemite seemed to know what they were and looked like he was ready to fight. You'd best be ready to fight or run.

Walking through this strange land, Dave was exstatic. The sand here was a dark brown color, and not so hot to the undersides of his legs. It was strange, but nice, as he could stand still without burning himself. Large, lumpy rocks laid all over the place, and were strangely harder then the rest of the big, brown sand lumps everywhere. Ah... It was so nice....

Passing a dried and dead bush, he heard it start to shake, and some of the leaves fell off. Wondering of one of those Sandshrew creatures were behind it (As Dave still has no clue about the thousands many other kinds of Pokémon). Crawling up to it, someone or something shouted:

"Bzzt. Bzzt. GO AWAY!"

A spark of some sort went off, and the bush lit up in a wonderous red fire. Dave stood up in shock, gazing at the embers as they flared. Funnily, a small, grey ball flew out of it screaming for it's life.

"Bzzt, Look what you made me do! They'll find me now! Bzzt."

The small grey ball was the one talking to him, and apparently wasn't a Sandshrew. It had strange curved things sticking to it, and three small stick like things over and under it's eye. It sensed itself, looking at a rising cloud of dust on the horizon, apparently getting ready for a fight.

Dave, however, was still completely new to the whole 'battle for survival in the wild' thing, and just sat there, awestruck by this new life form.

"Oooh, you are not a Sandshrew, yes? What is your name, yes?"

Something hurdling towards them in the distance, a Magnemite that would be crapping itself if it could, and a Trapinch that had no idea what was going on.... Some mod is going to have fun.

“Bzzt!” spoke the Magnemite once again, but did not elaborate further. The sounds of footsteps soon drew nearer, and the steel-and-electric Pokémon looked like it was going to poop metal nuts. It spiraled around aimlessly, its sole eye rolling round and round. If you were watching it, I daresay you would get dizzy.

From the clouds of dust, a blue-colored being made its grand appearance – and it was hurtling towards you at top speed! Vaguely, stripes of red were seen on its thick hide. It stopped only for a second or two, before curling up into a ball once again. Whatever it was, it was rolling downhill right now – not a good sign at all – and towards the both of you. If you weren’t careful ... you might be knocked into the air by that life-form!

“AIEEEEEE!”

Magnemite’s yell rang out into the air, its body levitating higher away from the ground. It seemed like it was positively freaked out right now, and nothing you do was going to calm it down … probably. Static was gathering around it in waves; the disturbances were apparent even to your eyes. “WAAAAAAARGH!” cried Magnemite once again, having lost all sense of control of itself, as well as the ability to speak. Your questions went unanswered as it tried to escape.

Circling both you and the Magnemite now was the blue Pokémon, pacing in circles. You watched on together with the gone-crazy magnet Pokémon. “Anima …” said the Phanpy, continuing to pace around you at her own sweet time. Yes, she’s a female, ladies and gentlemen! “What are you doing here, out of bounds?” the elephant continued, her eyes never once bothering to look at you. You were either invisible to her, or she simply chose to ignore you.

“AIEEEEEE!”

It was that same cry again. Making a wild dash to escape, Anima scrambled (like it was possible for Magnemite) to move and get the hell out of there. Sadly, the Phanpy was too strong, or rather, smarter than Anima over there. “You’re not going to escape, Anima – not when Kailee is on the job!” she barked, scooting to block Anima’s path.

“If you’re going to help, stop Anima from running, dammit!”

Right, right, a task … Do it, or not? Perhaps you might want to consider aiding Kailee, or you could aid Anima instead. You don’t know what Kailee is up to, anyway, yes?

Well, this looked odd.

A small, blue creature had come rolling down the hill, and is now intimidating the small, floating grey creature Dave had met a few moments ago. This were happening fast... Too fast for Dave to ask any of the questions that he wanted. Dave didn't like this.

Annoyed at the rushing of things, he used a Quick Attack to appear between the two creatures at blinding speed, then opened his large, intimidating jaws and gave the loud 'GWRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW' sound, that all Trapinch are able to do. (their game noise)

Hopefully stopping the current argument, and getting both of their attention, Dave cleared his throat and began a question after his growl had settled in.

"What is going on here, yes? Why are you two bumping heads, yes?"

Dave wanted answers, so he did not have to act blindly to whatever was being unsaid. He liked to learn, and wanted to stay as unignorant as possible.... Which, considering the state of things, would be quite the task.

Now, size wise, a Trapinch's mouth was about the same size as the grey being, and also a good size to the blue being, as well. That, and there was many sharp teeth lining his orange maw. Dave didn't thing either of them would like these teeth around their heads, yes? They would hopefully listen, yes?

You were an odd one, and Kailee didn’t hesitate to think so for even a second. She wasn’t fazed by your loud roar (… Donphan factor), but your jaws were huge. That alone was a reckoning factor; the Phanpy took a wary step back, her eyes on you. What were you doing, trying to make peace? Good idea, frankly. A second or so later, you saw Anima zipping out of your sight (dammit, your roar scared him), leaving Kailee alone with you.

“You’ve caused trouble, yes?”

Aha, it seemed that Kailee figured that two could play at your game. Wearing a frown on her blue face, she looked at you rather wearily. She seemed to be tired out from chasing Anima, and the little grey thing was gone now. Sighing, Kailee flopped down on the ground, her ears upon her legs.

“Anima ran away because he’s a downright coward. End of story.”

Kailee trumpeted and got up, shaking her head. “No point moaning about it though – and I’m sorry I disrupted your … whatever you were doing,” continued the blue elephant, sighing and stretching once again. A moment later, she was there, moaning right in your face, evidently paranoid about something. Wow, first, you had a freaked out Anima, and now, Kailee was freaking out too?

“It’s – all – my – freakin’ – fault!” she moaned. Each word she uttered was punctuated by a smack to her own head. Kailee seemed rather frustrated at her inability to rein in a Pokémon as small at Anima, and wasn’t going to go around hiding it.

"..... I seemed to have walked in on something, yes? You mind explaining what's happened, yes?"

Dave was very interested now. The small, grey one from before had ran off, and now this blue creature was wailing in depression before him. Something was definately going on that he did not know of, and this made him all the more curious. Why did the grey one run? Why is the blue one chasing it? Why is the ground so different here? That last one was just a random question, but nevertheless, he wanted answers. And many of them. He would ask untill he got them.... Or he would squeaze them out. Yes..... He would clamp onto this blue thing, and squeaze until it talked what he wanted to hear. This seemed like a plan...

"My name is Dave, yes? Where exactly are we, yes?"

Hm... All Dave could really do right now was bite, and go fast. If he put his mind to it, he thought that he could probably teach himself to do other things. Like...... Crush a rock, maybe. It shouldn't be too hard. After he finished talking to the blue one, he looked around for a rock. He should be able to stamp down on it hard, and crush it, yes? If he pressed down really hard.... Maybe stamping it hard would help, too.

When the stars stop shining, dreams will shatter before your eyes. Know that you're not alone!
(I think i might understand what's going on here. Kinda. Lemme give it a try.)

Kailee was a little upset that you had made her friend mad, but didn't seemed to phased by it. After you had introduced yourself, she saw that you weren't a bad pokemon, and that she didn't have to be too scared, in fact she seemed to have started to REALLY look you over. Big head, powerful evolution, interesting accent, after she had thought about all of these things, she suddenly got hearts in her eyes. Oh no, yes? It seems that you might have a stalker, yes? After an awkward silence, she finally spoke.

"So, what's with that cute accent, is it human or something?" she asked curiously, staring into your beady eyes.

Hm, where DID that accent come from? And do you know what a human is? either way, you walked away to go find a rock, and she quickly followed. "So, what is it, yes?" she giggled, mimicking your speech. You found a nice rock, and brought down your foot onto it hard, but all it did was stick up into your foot. Owwie. You tried again, and got the same results. you got a look of frustration in your eyes, and Kailee giggled yet again. "Are you trying to smash rocks? You gotta do it like this!" She said, finding a rock, and using rock smash on it. The weight from her full body force and the strength in her legs crushed the rock into dust.

"You have to put your body into it!"

Interesting. Maybe this Phanphy has some use. She was cute, high level and knew rock smash. Hm. And she seems to have taken interest in you. Whattcha going to do about it?

The Phanpy was acting strange, as much as Dave could tell. But, it was probably because her friend had just run off. Maybe she was upset that it didn't say goodbye, or that it didn't stay? Dave didn't think he would be able to find out.... But, she could smash rocks, what he was trying to do right now. She seemed to raise her foot into the air, and then come down hard, putting all of her body weight into smashing into the rock. If he missed again, he could probably ask her to show him how she did it once more. He might be missing something... It seemed like it would be easy to do, though. Or, maybe he should try on a bigger rock? Many questions filed into his head, but he cleared them and focused on the issue at hand.

"Ah, so you must hit it very hard to get it to crumble, yes? Let me try it again, yes?"

Dave thought about it, then decided that he could get more force from his own weight if he could transfer it from his top-heavy head. So, standing up, he tried at smashing a different rock, throwing his weight into his right front leg, bending and smashing at the rock. Maybe it would smash the rock and not him this time, yes?

“Not really very hard,” said Kailee with a soft giggle, her eyes on yet another rock. “You just need to know how to exert your face … uh, force,” she said, correcting herself with a small smile on her face. Uh-oh … she’s stumbling over her words. I reckon she might just be falling for you … dang, what’s a guy like you gonna do? She was cute, high-level and probably knew more than Rock Smash; hang on, that was just said! Anyway, you’d do better to be on her side than against her, and then everything was going to be –

“Happy-happy!”

Damn, the girls just keep coming.

:sandshrew :female Level 4 {Teak}

Okay, maybe the newcomer was a little too young compared to Kailee, but she seemed to know her all the same. The Phanpy smiled at the shrew Pokémon and gestured towards you. “This is a good friend of mine; she’s almost like my little sister! She’s called Teak,” said Kailee, nodding, “And Teak, this is Dave.”

The sudden cracking of rock on your part probably muffled out the names and stuff; but it’s up to you, really. Either this was pure coincidence, or just bad luck on your part – at this very moment, a shard of rock spiked up from the impact and smashed into your large forehead. It should hurt, for it struck dead center. On the other hand, the slab of rock had several cracks within it, with some of the rock splintering out messily. It certainly was in no way elegant.

Kailee and Teak stared on, the Sandshrew folding her arms as she merely smiled at you, her deep-set eyes glinting cheerfully.

“Daa-chan, does it hurt? Pain-pain?” asked Teak, hopping over to you.

Kailee merely sighed and started to speak. “Okay, look here, Dave. You actually need to deal a blow that penetrates the natural defenses of just about any structure … with your most powerful appendage! That’s your head, actually, since it’s pretty darn large,” stated the blue elephant, rising up to stand on her hind legs. With a deep breath, she crashed down upon the rock she targeted (though not the one you were practicing on), once again, smashing it to pieces.

“But you’re doing a pretty good job as you are. Keep it up, but don’t smash your head in as well.”
“Mm-hmm! Keep it up-keep it up!” cheered Teak.

Well, go you, yes? Pretty girls help (somehow), yes?
