"Pokémon" came from "Pocket Monster" - Scary
I decided to keep mine nice and simple, and have no idea whether it is good or not.

You forgot to clean it up, Uni. However it's not bad. Look @ my Page 7 and see how i shade so that you have a better idea of how the outline shade looks when inside of the sprite, because i only use it nearest the black-lines themselves for more depth.

Lol I tried. This is based off of a Fakemon I drew a while back. It starts as this little helpless eye thing and then eventually evolves into this demon plant. I'll try the evolve forms later.

Frost, the colors are a bit too dark for my liking personally, I think you could lighten them up. Also, I assume you just used the 'geographically correct" circles that Ms Paint makes? If so, they don't come out looking very well EVER if they're any bigger than like 10x10 so I suggest re-outling to make it look smoother. Also, The shading on its head/body is actually really really drastic and it almost seems as it the light source is so tiny that it barely even hits it, I think maybe you could open up the base-tone a little bit more to fix this :]

If any of that made sense .__.

Edit: Lolfail. I meant Geometrically Correct, not Geographically xD

Ok Shad took your advice and made it lighter. I had to make the body smaller to try and fix the circle which also gave me the idea to use a voltorb as an example. The voltorb seemed like a good idea, so I also used it as an example for shading. So here we have Suciris 2.0. Any better?

EDIT: Suciris' eye didnt look right on that side. Also, didnt feel like making a new post and cluttering the topic. I tried the first evolved form of Suciris, Glaucstalk.

ANy suggestions?

Actually I thinkit looks MUCH better. However, the sort of diamond thing is the eye, yes? (Dangit >__>) if so then it should be facing the other way =P

Okay, I would like to offer some a teeny bit of advice. The pencil tool creates a mark 1 pixel wide, the same evvect can be applied with the small paintbrush setting. The only difference is that you can see where the mark is going to go before you place it. I personally find this a much better system to use than the pencil tool, making the pencil obsolete though.
