Ah, tutoring in a battle. It makes things so much exciting, don't you think? It adds a little more challenge to the situation when you have no idea whether you're going to get attacked mid-tutor or if you're going to get beaten before you can finish. But hopefully that wouldn't happen, yes? So you wanted Ekans to learn Glare. I can't imagine why, since beating this Ledyba probably would give you enough levels to give it to it automatically, but whatever. You told it to focus on his natural intimidate ability and his Leer move, combined into one to make the Ledyba completely paralyzed. It was a pretty solid plan, but Ledyba wasn't intent on letting you paralyze her. So Ekans used his Leer, trying to draw from his ability, and he stepped back a little, scared at the face Ekans was making. But he shook it off and ran at Ekans with a Comet Punch. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't connect as Ekans nimbly dodged the attacks. Your snake followed it up with a Dark Pulse, which knocked the Ledyba back. Now it was the unfortunate time for you, for Ledyba released a screech that invaded Ekans' mind, scrambling his brain up. Well, that sucked.

While it certainly wasn't the best of rounds for Ekans, it hadn't been the worst either. His snake had managed to do some damage while at the same time making a good jump in his learning curve. Now Silas was faced with the choice of trying to give the move another go, or recalling his Ekans and trying to win the battle swiftly. Even though it was in a state of confusion, Silas figured recalling Ekans would be a blow to his poison type's pride. He decided to let his snake have another go at the Glare. Now all he had to do was figure out another way for Ekans to understand the move and make another leap in the learning curve. Tapping his chin, he thought out what he wanted to say and instructed his partner. "Ekans, listen very carefully. You did a good job on the attempt at Glare, but you need to focus more on the fear factor. The move is meant to root your foe to the ground out of sheer fright. This time really focus on locking eyes with the Ledyba and stopping it dead in its tracks. Try stretching out to make yourself seem more frightening, so that this time when you mix Leer with your Intimidate, you'll really scare the spots off of it! Follow it up with a Bite attack!" The Ledyba certainly wasn't backing down. Silas frowned at his silent Poketech. He hadn't received any offers for the bug Pokemon yet. He shrugged it off, deciding it was only a matter of time before someone ended up wanting it. He was sure it'd fetch a right price for the right person. The right person just needed to end up seeing that it was up for grabs. |

Nogou Village Battling while tutoring. What a big no-no. Ekans was confused; tutoring while being confused, another no-no. You surprisingly made it to the progress you had, maybe not being confused for the entire time. Certainly, this round would be bad. Ledyba, with the little fear he had, tried to build up courage. Ekans, on the other hand, was about to try and install more fear. It was sort of like a joke, and I don't mean Ekans playing one on you. His serpent eyes went all around, spinning with confusion. He fangs showed, but his face looked as if he was trying to entertain a child, or even trying to poop. Ledyba then giggled, and you could tell this wasn't going the way you wanted it too. When Ekans seemed to stop, he got the power to move forward, trying for a Bite. However, the Ledyba took to the ground, rolled under Ekans and used Tackle, having propelled itself up into the snake's belly. It didn't seem to go as well as you planned at all, and not just that, but Ekans didn't show any big signs of snapping out of the confusion so soon. Though, talking to it (whether in commands or demands to wake up) may be helping it. Even that Tackle may have. The bad part was Ekans failed to progress the battle for his victory, and his tutor. Better luck next time. Lv.10 ![]() 38 / 45 | 85%Confused | 40% to Snap Out Glare -- 40% Lv.12 ![]() 40 / 49 | 88%Attack -1 Defense -1 |

Silas sighed and looked down to his beeping Poketech, allowing himself to be distracted briefly from the battle in front of him. Someone had made an offer for the Duckball he had never managed to learn how to use. Considering he had no desire to go through the headache of raising a Psyduck, he sent a confirmation and the Duckball via Poketech. He also recieved something as a Christmas present. His Poketech recieved the data and sent it to him. Silas lifted the item in front of his head and wondered what he could possibly use the Bulb Incense for. He sighed and figured he could at least sell it, storing it in his pack. After getting that out of the way, Silas returned his attention to the battle at hand. This tutoring venture had completely flopped due to the confusion that the Ledyba had forced upon his Ekans. Trying to continue it would only prove to worsen the confusion and ultimately cost him the battle. Seeing that he wanted to wrap this up and move on to bigger and better things, Silas reached down to his belt and chose Doduo's Pokeball. He pressed the button and tossed it into the area in front of him. "Come on out, Doduo!" The bright flashing light revealed his two-headed warrior. "Do!" "Duo!" Silas cracked his neck and started staring down the Ledyba. "Ekans! Snap out of it, if you can! Try to hit the Ledyba with two Dark Pulses! Doduo, hit the Ledyba with three Drill Pecks!" With the added assistance, Silas had little doubt that he'd be able to bring the Ledyba down soon. He hoped so, for he had much to do and little time to waste. It was just as he finished thinking about what he would have to do that his Poketech beeped once more. Silas had begun to get frustrated with the noise before he realized that the latest message had been the most important one of all. He had been offered a job. Somehow his exploits had caught the eye of someone recruiting for a new corporation. He had been offered the job of.... a bounty hunter! Silas thought that it was bizarre that he had thought of that exact job for himself earlier. He figured that he would be better off working for the private sector than the government anyway. Now he would have no problem with his past record. Silas submitted his team data and accepted the position, smirking to himself. It appeared that he had even less available time than he thought. ~ Nogou Village ~ Fighting a bug with a bird, now there's an idea. Plus you was using a powerful flying type attack too, I'm not going to lie, this battle was going to end now or next round, depending on if you can get all your attacks in...and if Ekans can come to his senses. Ledyba stared at the bird, knowing he was in a tricky situation. He would have to do something amazing here if he wanted to stay ahead of the game. Shame he's too weak to know anything decent right? Quickly shooting a Supersonic, Ledyba confused one of the two Doduo heads. Before the other head could get infected too, it bit it's partner quickly snapping it out, looks like that move failed. Annoyed, Ledyba launched forward towards Ekans and committed a series of Comet Punches against the snake, attacking a total of four times before running out of steam and preparing to withdraw. But the punches had knocked some sense into Ekans who was ready this time, firing off a powerful Dark Pulse that threw Ledyba back and up into the air. Almost upon instinct, Doduo flew fast underneath and propelled himself up, drilling Ledyba hard in the back. The bug squealed in pain as he fell back to the floor, only to receive a second Drill Peck upon impact. Ledyba couldn't take much more and fainted instantly, almost allowing himself to be knocked out, rather than suffer any more pain. Looked like you had one this battle. With that out the way, what was your next agenda. Being a part of this new group you would need a Guild Licence. Maybe you should head out to a pokemon centre and buy one. But as you said, you had much to do and little time. No longer in battle you can head on your way and complete your tasks, have fun! Battle Report

Silas reached down to his belt and pulled out an empty Pokeball and tossed it at the fainted Ledyba. He wasn't sure whether it would fetch a good price or not, but it was of a good level. Silas was sure he'd be able to find some use for it even if it wasn't on his main team. He nodded to both Ekans and Doduo and returned them both to the ball after congratulating them on their success. While the ball was wiggling, Silas decided to make a plan for his next activities. Silas knew that if he managed to catch the Ledyba or not, his first thing to do would be to head right to the Pokemart and sell his Bulb Incense. He figured he could get a good price for it, and he could use the spare cash. The next thing he wanted to do was head to the Pokemon Center and heal his team. He would go to the PC and switch Butterfree for Rattata to get his little rodent warrior back on his active line-up. Silas also knew that he would have to go to Nurse Joy and aquire two Guild Member Licenses: one for the Zodiac Alliance and one for the Captoris Corporation. The last thing he would want to do would be to respond to a notice on his Poketech advertising the ToA and sign up. He was always interested in battling anyone he could. He also knew that he wasn't going to stop for wild pokemon or take on any trainers before getting these next activites done. He needed to get this administration stuff finished before he had time to take on anything else. Only then would he consider going out for more training. He nodded to himself while watching the Pokeball wriggle, hoping he'd catch the Ledyba. He had a lot on his plate, but it wasn't a huge deal. It'd work itself out naturally. Note to Mod

LEDYBA? Well, it's another pokemon in the pokedex I suppose, right? Anyway, to keep things simple, you caught the ledyba and it was transferred to your computer, since your current party is full. After you caught the You walked in, triggering that ring that goes off when a customer arrives at the place. There was a long line at the one cash register, though, so you waited there for quite awhile. Eventually, you were up next, so you took your bulb incense from wherever it was and placed it on the counter. The cashier picked it up, slightly confused on what exactly the object was; obviously this person was just hired... Or was he? Not too sure on what to do, he took a big binder that was hidden underneath the cash register and began to flip through the pages. "Incense... Incense... Incense..." he muttered to himself, flipping page after page. "Incense... Incense... Incense... Incense... Incense... Incense... Incense... Oh! Oh, that's not it... Incense... Incense... Aha! Bulb incense!" The cashier slammed the book shut and threw it back underneath the empty space, below the counter. He opened the cash register and took out a hefty amount of money. He handed you the money and you quickly left the pokemart, leaving to go to the pokemon center. No distractions here. You entered the pokemon center, healed up your tired pokemon and rearranged your party. Shortly after you did, there was a sudden boom in the pokemon center. A mysterious man with an abra appeared, the mysterious man wearing a robe that covered his body and most of his face. "It is time," the mysterious man said in a dark, grungy voice. Shortly after he spoke, the abra rose both of her arms and clapped them together. Next, you felt the room shake and suddenly, you were teleported out of the pokemon center and sent to... Tournament of aegis? The teleport there was not a smooth ride, either. The abra, instead of gently placing you on the ground, left you in midair, and thanks to gravity, you fell and slammed on the dirt. Oh, gravity... Not only that, your were very nauseous from the abra teleporting you. You didn't think that teleporting from one place to another in a split second would be a smooth ride, would you? Shortly after you slammed on the ground, the mysterious man and his abra appeared next to you. And of course, their teleportation travel was nice and smooth. Anyway, he threw his hood down, revealing his face. Turns out, that he's just a tournament official. "Yeah, hurry the hell up and get in there. You're late." Skipping around a bit, the tournament was over and you were teleported back to Nogou Village. And now, my ref ends there. Do whatever you want. As long as it's legal, you sneaky little you. |

Silas rubbed his chin, happy to see that everything had worked out so well. He sat in the Pokemon Center and pondered his next move. Clearly if he was going to become a bounty hunter he would have to acquire a license. He finally had some spare funds, so he figured that aquiring it wouldn't me to difficult. Silas had heard that he could even get them from the Pokemon Centers. He stood up and went to the counter to address Nurse Joy. He took $400 out of his bag and put it on the counter. "Excuse me, Nurse Joy. I would like to acquire two guild member licenses, please. One for the Zodiac Alliance, and one for the Captoris Corporation. I think that this should take care of it." Silas began to think about where he could go next. He had been in Nogou for a long time. Perhaps it was time that he headed out for new territories. Silas had heard that he could acquire licenses to carry more Pokemon, but that other requirements would have to be met first. The easiest way, he figured, was to get a rod and acquire a fishing license. He had no intention of ever becomming an angler, but the extra Pokemon on hand would do well for his new job. That settled it in Silas' mind. He would get his licenses, stop by the Pokemart and purchase two Pokeballs, and then head for Millenia. |

Nogou Village Doing various things in various places. And eventually, on Route 1 Nurse Joy greeted you with a gentle smile as you placed the $400 dollars on the counter and requested to Guild Member Licenses. She accepted the money and in return provided you with the Licenses you had requested - Zodiac Alliance, and a Captoris Corporation one. Furthermore, You exited the Pokemon Center, and strolled down the street, and it wasn't long before you arrived inside the Pokemart, located just down the road from the Pokemon Center. You walked in, snagged two Pokeballs, and paid the cashier the appropriate price for both of them, and once again, left the building to carry on with your agenda for the day. You had purchase two guild member licenses and two Pokeballs - that was bound to put a dent in your wallet, but it was most probably worth it. Now you had one final act on your current agenda - get the hell to Millenia, so you could buy a rod, and the rest of the requirements with it. You departed from the peaceful Nogou Village, setting out on your way to Millenia Town. For the most part, you were making good time, and no Pokemon or Trainers disturbed you.. yet. You were travelling to Millenia by route of the Joukai Pass, and while still on Route 1, a trainer hiding in the grass like in the video games, was comically rotating around and around in every direction, looking for someone to battle. You just so happened to cross her line of sight, and a large exclamation point appeared above the trainer's head and she ran over to you. "You look like a powerful trainer. Wanna battle?" Come to think of it, she was really pretty. Fortunately for you, this wasn't like the game, and you could actually refuse to battle her. But just look at her. She was totally hot. Sexy Ninja Jessica wants to battle. Obtained AN: If you choose to battle her, you can actually request me more if you want. Or someone else as well. Happily along his way with his new licenses and items, and his team back to normal, Silas didn't have a care in the world. He sent a note to his new superior in the Captoris Corporation telling him that he had his license and was ready to work whenever jobs became available. He was still on cloud nine when he happened to walk through the line of sight of this girl dressed in ninja garb. Silas stood speechless for a few seconds, surprised that someone would willingly walk around like that and that she had the gall to challenge him to a battle. He considered his options and weighed consequences. Silas had already wasted enough time on the battle with the Ledyba, and he needed to get the rest of his licenses in Millenia soon. However, Silas had never backed down from a challenge before and really did not have much of an intention to start now. In the end that settled it for the ex-thief. He placed his left hand on his left hip, and plucked Pinsir's pokeball from his right. "Hm? Sorry, I didn't see you in the long grass there. You appear to be a powerful trainer, yourself. A battle, you say?" Silas tossed it up and down to himself, wondering if he was going to try and force a 2 v 2 match. His team did better together than alone, but he had the strange feeling that it wasn't up to him." "Well, I am in a hurry to get to Millenia, but that is a request I find hard to refuse. The name's Silas. Silas Redding. Would you prefer a one on one match or a team match, miss......?" He purposely let the end of the sentence taper off as an invitation for her to introduce herself. Silas wondered why he was allowing himself to be so cordial and warm to her, having never met her before in his life. He never really had time to build relationships with anyone, a result of being on the move constantly and having been raised by the streets. He figured it was her smile, or maybe her courage in challenging a complete stranger to a match. Regardless, he put his thoughts of how pretty she looked aside, and switched his gears over to their cold, calculating setting he always got while in a match. If it was a fight she wanted, then it was one she would receive. |

Route 1 Grassy fields "Jessica" replied the female, gently. "Jessica Matthews." Well, now you knew her name. After this, were you gonna ask her out? You sly dog, you. Ahem. Back to the ref. "A one on one would be perfect." Jessica smiled at you, grabbed a Pokeball from the belt, or rather strap, that wrapped around her torso, serving to keep the kimono of sorts that she was wearing, tightly around her body, and it doubled to perk up her chest, which she seemed to be unconsciously flaunting to anyone and everyone. Still, the day was nice, it was sunny outside, and it was warm enough for her to actually be okay with the skimpy clothing she was wearing. She noticed you summon your Pinsir, and she turned her back to you, strutting her way over to a distance that provided your Pokemon, along with the one she was about to summon, enough space for the battle to commence. She had this hip movement that swayed from side to side when she took a step, which probably was more seductive than she had planned. Still, all it took would be a well timed breeze and you'd probably get a pantyshot. And I guess I spoke too soon, as the small breeze did just that, and she pressed the front of her robe down, trying to hide the strawberry panties that lay underneath, (and you got a nice look at, if you were paying attention that was). An adorable blush crept upon her cheeks at the embarrassment, but soon disappeared as she tossed forth her Pokeball, revealing ( "Good luck" said Jessica. Well, she was a polite one, even if she rudely, and so boldly approached you and challenged you. Beautiful, polite, and skimpily dressed.. Nice. "A.. a pleasure to meet you, Jessica. Best of luck to you as well." Perhaps that it was because he was tired of being alone after all these years, or perhaps it was because he was a teenager and this was the first girl his age that he had seen since coming to the continent, but Silas couldn't help but be a little mesmerized by the way that the girl moved and spoke. He was momentarily stunned again when the wind gave its little revelation, but he composed himself. Perhaps the girl was really being flirtatious, or maybe she was just using her beauty to try and distract him from focusing on the battle at hand. Either way, he'd hit on her later. For now, he had to help Pinsir. Her Pokeball revealed a Jigglypuff. Pinsir rolled his eyes and cracked his claw-like knuckles. He didn't seem to think the Jigglypuff would be much of a threat. Silas, on the other hand, decided not to underestimate the pink puffball. She had a voice almost as seductive as her trainer's costume. It was a match made in heaven. With the gears whirring in his head, Silas thought of a plan and thought of one quick. "Pinsir, don't underestimate the power that lies within any Pokemon. We can't afford to let our guard down." Pinsir looked back and nodded, realizing the wisdom in what you were saying. "Now, here's what we need to do. The most devastating move it has is Sing, so I wan't you to plug your ears with your fingers as much as possible this match. Then, I want you to run up and give it three Seismic Tosses this round with your head claws. Fortunately, the powers that be blessed you with a devastating appendage so we can try and block the singing and lay the smackdown. For later rounds, just turn around and look at me. If I'm giving a thumbs up..." Silas made the motion with his right hand. "...then I want you to do two Seismic Tosses for that round. If I do a thumbs down instead, then unplug your ears and I'll give you different orders. Remember, that's only for future rounds. For this one, do three! That way you can keep your ears plugged and hopefully block out that siren song." Pinsir nodded in understanding and roared out. "SIR!" Silas wasn't exactly sure the plan would work or not, but felt it was necessary. The one thing he couldn't afford to do here would be to let Pinsir go to sleep and invite the Jigglypuff to do a tap dance on his face. It was good he set up this pre-arranged signal this match. Now he waited to see if it would help at all. Edited by Silas, Jan 9 2011, 11:52 AM.

Route 1 Grassy fields Okay, I must say the signal idea was definitely a good plan. If Pinsir was to fall asleep, there's a lot Jigglypuff could do in that time. It was wise to take measures to prevent it. Let's see how your plan worked out. Following your orders, Pinsir raised his hands to cover his ear-... wait a minute, did Pinsir even have ears? He had horns for sure. But ears weren't really.. visible. Still, he knew where his ears were and raised his hands to cover them effectively. He looked back at you once he did and nodded, now ready to execute his other orders. He turned to face the female Jigglypuff, who was now receiving orders by the beautiful Jessica. Boy.. could I go on talking about that ninja... her slender and perfectly shaped legs.. those hourglass like curves.. that perky c-.. and I'm gonna stop myself before I go on. Time for the battle to commence. Jigglypuff began the round with a focus, proactively raising her attack stat, as per orders. As she did this, Pinsir was on his way to Seismic Toss the puffball. His horns grasped the Jigglypuff, and tossed the pink ball. Jigglypuff rolled and slowly stood up after impacting against the ground. Jessica cried out, witnessing her Pokemon get hurt. Pinsir then ran after Jigglypuff to attempt the second Seismic Toss. Noticing the same approach being used twice, Jigglypuff managed to jump out of the way. Pinsir grunted at turned to face the Jigglypuff as she landed and used the second focus that she was ordered to. Seeing this opportunity, Pinsir lunged forward and gripped the puffball with his horns again, effectively using yet another Seismic Toss. The Jigglypuff once again impacted the ground, rolling to her feet, waiting for her orders, as did your Pinsir. Silas inwardly cursed that the second seismic toss missed the target. If it hadn't, then this would easily have been a two-round match. Oh well. No use crying over spilled MooMoo milk. He probably shouldn't have been surprised, considering that if Jessica wasn't just a cosplay girl and really was a ninja then perhaps she had taught her Pokemon some evasive strategies. He took a moment to look at her, and his train of thought derailed. A gruff voice brought him back to reality. "Pin?" Pinsir had turned around and was looking for orders, his hands still effectively clamped over his ears. What Silas desperately needed to figure out was why she had ordered two Focus attacks, and made no effort to put Pinsir to sleep. Jessica's strategy was... bizarre to be sure. Her plan must be to boost herself up, put Pinsir to sleep, and then try to as much damage as possible. However, it didn't make sense to try and boost stats BEFORE his insect was knocked out if she wasn't planning on laying some damage down. Silas guessed was that there was no point in changing what appeared to be an effective strategy. As soon as Pinsir glanced back, he held up his thumb in a thumbs-up pose, signaling to his Pokemon that TWO MORE SEISMIC TOSSES was the way to go. Pinsir nodded in understanding and whirled around, locking its scarred gaze on his opponent. "Sir PinSIR!" Silas was pleased that his Pinsir was not nearly as distracted as he was this match. He would rely on his insect warrior to help get him through the match and hopefully to get to know Jessica a little better. |

Route 1 Grassy Fields Well, it was clearly obvious who had the advantage at this point. You did, and Pinsir had a huge lead on Jigglypuff, in terms of health points remaining. It'd only take about 3 more Seismic Tosses before Pinsir knocked out the Jigglypuff, and you could carry on to Millenia Town.. or hit on Jessica. Whichever works. Nevertheless, both Pokemon had their orders and were prepared for another round of the battle. Pinsir, whose hands were still covering his ears, made a dash forward towards the Jigglypuff. The pink puffball was gripped by the Pinsir's horns and slammed into the ground. Jessica shuddered as her Pokemon took a beating, but kept a strong face as to not lose heart. Jigglypuff, bounced off the ground, flipped right-side up, then as per orders, proceeded to attack Pinsir with a powerful pound attack. The pound attack collided with Pinsir's face, causing the bug Pokemon to release its ears to grab its face. Realizing that this was the opportunity that Jessica told her to wait for, Jigglypuff began singing to Pinsir, who was still clutching his face. The sweet and gentle melody rang through Pinsir's ears, and it wasn't long before the bug Pokemon was fast asleep. As a clause under Jessica's orders, Jigglypuff jumped towards the sleeping Pinsir and proceeded to let out another pound attack - effectively using Jigglypuff's three move turn. Well, now what were you gonna do? Pinsir is now asleep, and as you put it before.. is inviting Jigglypuff to tap dance on his face. You Lv 11 20/47 88%Notes: [Sleeping - 25% chance to wake up next turn.] [Three move turn used.] Opponent Lv 12 19/49 81%Notes: [+2 Attack for 1 more turn.] [Three move turn used.] AN: Blame the random number generator. It didn't like you this time. |
