Alright then, one outcome of this turn is obvious, Trapinch was going down, and his final Pokemon was coming out. Be glad you saved Snorunt for last, because I have a feeling you'll really need it. Switching Ekans for Pinsir was wise, as he called out a fresh Pokemon, so did you to counter. And, it also leaves you with backup if something else faints, which is a nice little edge to have, seeing as he's down to two left. And another fortunate happening, Drill Peck should complete this turn. Thank god you weren't on some odd red man's naughty list, otherwise half of this could've gone real screwy. Though, wait a minute... Aren't you? We'll have to see now, won't we... Now, enough with the shit shat, let's get on with this battle! As Ekans was sucked back into his capsular container, and Pinsir was called out, Doduo blasted forward. It ran about half of the distance, then launched itself skywards. As it began to come down, it straighten itself out, pointed it's two beaks together, and began violently spinning at high speeds. Crashing to earth, the hit made home, right in the Trapinch's face. Doduo bounced off the red ant and regained it's balance, then looked over at it's trainer in triumph. The move was learned! Trapinch wobbled for a moment, then with it's shrill cry, it fell to the earth. The dragon trainer sighed, and recalled his fallen Pokemon. As he did, the white dragon began it's assault. "Chanyu, use Quick Attack on the Doduo, followed by a Disable on the bug!" In a flash of white, the little floating dragon pummeled into Doduo. it then turned in time to see the large beetle Pokemon jump at it, and catch it in his large Pinsirs. The bug jumped into the air, them smashed the dragon to the ground. Before it could land, Chanyu's eyes began to glow, and following, Pinsir's eyes began to glow. Disable cut in, and it looks like he won't be using Seismic Toss again for a while.. Attacks given out, the dragon trainer called out his final Pokemon to replace his fallen Trapinch. "Come on out, Gible!" And here comes his secret weapon: a 'true' dragon, one of the three tat dragon trainers could only dream of owning. And even worse for you, this one didn't look all that weak. You're going to have your hands full with this thing, and the bird sitting on you he- wait, what? Concentrated on the battle, you hardly noticed that some sort of bird Pokemon had taken audience on the top of your head. It wasn't doing any harm, and didn't look like it was going anywhere. An untrained observer wouldn't notice that Silas was fired up by looking at him. He kept his calm and cool composure without even a hint of exuberance, but the giveaway was the glint in his eyes. Battling tough opponents like this was what Pokemon was all about. The rare and powerful Gible only continued to prove that this battle was one he would remember. He was so caught up in the heat of battle that he had not noticed the bird that had landed on his head. He was slightly stunned, but intrigued over the bravery of the bird to make his perch so near a human. The bird wasn't doing any harm, so he decided to address it. "Why hello there. I hope you are enjoying the show. Sit back and relax for a bit while we continue our battle." Silas' inner gears once again spun furiously. The Gible presented some new challenges, but also came with some valuable insights. The rules were that this was a four on four double battle, so this dragon was the last Pokemon. The trainer didn't have any reserves left with which to switch out. Doduo had taken quite a beating, and even mastered the Drill Peck. The speed of his avian partner could come in handy if he needed a quick shot after another long stretch. He smirked at the dragon trainer and pressed the button on Doduo's ball. "I happen to have an ace in the hole myself. Doduo, return. You did a wonderful job." Silas grabbed another ball on his waist. He knew Murkrow or Drowzee would have loved to get involved in the battle as well, but to beat a dragon, every good trainer knew what type to use. He hucked the ball out into the scrap. "Go Snorunt! Use your Powder Snow attack on the Gible! Pinsir, don't get disheartened! Steel yourself and find their weakpoints with Focus Energy, and then slap that Gible into a high pressure situation with your Vicegrip!" He tried not to move his head to much so the bird Pokemon wouldn't feel the urge to fly away while never tearing his gaze from the battle. It was rolling along smoothly so far, and he needed to keep it going in order to win the fight! |

If I've told you once, I've told you a hundred times. You can attack more then once per turn! Good thing, though, Powder Snow hits both targets in a double battle. So, all is not lost. Although, use that three turn combo sitting in reserve for Snorunt, and I'm pretty sure the battle's over. Just a Doduo was sucked back into his storage capsule, and out came our ice type for the first time since it's capture. It shuttered happily, waiting to get into the battle. Of course, the higher leveled speed demon known as Gible moved first. Running quickly, it slammed itself into Pinsir in a Tackle attack, followed by a quick pivot to face Snorunt, and a Dragon Rage to follow. The small, blue-white fireball hit the unsuspecting Snorunt, doing it's preset 20 damage. Pinsir made the motion to begin it's attack, but was quickly rammed into by Chanyu, in a Quick Attack. Pinsir then lifted the small, blue dragon Pokemon into the air with it's pincers, and slammed it into the dirt. Snorunt then fired off it's Powder Snow, enveloping Gible and Chanyu as they retreated away from the giant bug to get out of it's range. The attack was devistating to them, vutting their HP well by half. Another one or two of those, and this battle is in the bag. However, your secret weapon is now known by the enemy. Expect their aim to change next time. Or right now. Chanyu has been storing a surprise attack, launching a quick Disable at Snorunt. It meant to cut of your best bet at winning the battle! Pinsir would have none of that, though. Thinking fast, it used it's large body to block the small ice hat Pokemon, taking the Disable for her. He was down by two moves now, but you still had the chance to blast the bastards with an icy wind. Let's finish this thing now, shall we? Battle! "You've battled hard, sir, but it's time to end this." Silas couldn't believe he saw Pinsir taking the hit for Snorunt. It was a truly masterful act of teamwork. These dragons couldn't stand the snow. Snorunt and her snowy dervish had everything in the bag. A glint appeared in his eye as he sensed the resolution of the match coming closely. "Now, Snorunt. Fire off two more of those Powder Snow attacks! Pinsir, use two Strike attacks with your powerful horns for good measure!" "SIR!!!!!!" "Runt!" His pokemon rushed off to complete their tasks. Pinsir may have had some of his moves locked up, but his firey spirit and thirst for battle would never allow him to back down or surrender. Snorunt almost twirled as she dashed into the fray, her moves like a dancer rather than a combatant, but she too was eager to fight on Silas' side. Silas was proud of his team, but knew he shouldn't start celebrating just yet. The battle was still going, so he needed to focus until he emerged victorious. |

((Just to say, Sora gave me permission, and basically told me what to do, okay? Although it's a little short, :/ )) The battle seemed to be coming to a close, and there was little hope for the foe. You ordered Pinsir to use strike twice, and Snorunt to use Powder Snow twice. However, Gible wasn't going to just let it happen. Opening it's mouth, dragonic energy formed, breathing out a ball of dragonfire. Pinsir was hit, draining most of it's HP. However, it was still hanging on. Snorunt then stepped up to the plate, unleashing two Powder Snows. The first hit both Gible and Chanyu, dealing damage. The second one swept over, also dealing damage. Both fell to the ground, fainted. You could count that a victory. The guy walked up to you. He pulled out a Pokéball. "It contains a Chanyu." He then handed it to you, then walked off. Before you knew it, he left. Well, you got a Chanyu. You saw the bird hop off your head and face you.. Bird? Yes, the Zodinary. He let out a few chirps as he hopped next to you. Looking at you, it chirped a few more times. It was intent on following you, it seems. you could have your own ally, if you wanted. Either way, you got a Chanyu, and could probably convince Zodinary to join you. It's a team waiting to happen. Your team got quite a bit of EXP along with that battle, two of them leveling up. Too bad they didn't learn any new moves, but it's only a matter of time, yeah? Then again Ekans gains 2.7 .Ekans has 3.2 remaining. Doduo gains 3.1 .Doduo levels up to level 8. 1.2 remains.Snorunt gains 6.5 .7.5 remaining.Pinsir gains 7.2 .Pinsir levels up to level 10. 4.4 remains.OBTAINED :chanyu Level 10!

Silas offered his hand out to the mysterious dragon trainer after the match, but the man appeared to have pressing business elsewhere. Silas frowned, but understood the need for expediency and curtness sometimes. As the man walked away, he called out to his retreating form. "Good match. I'll battle you any time." Content that he had done enough to congratulate his opponent, he turned to his own Pokemon. "Pinsir, I can't thank you enough for all that you did in this fight. Your burning desire for victory allowed you to hang on and do such selfless acts. And Snorunt, I'm proud of you as well. Congratulations on your first win. You both did very well. Now let's take a rest, shall we?" Silas called his two Pokemon back, sure that they would love a break as much as he did. He placed their balls on his belt while Chanyu's was sent to the PC box. Silas marveled at the little dragon Pokemon he had just obtained. They were rare and powerful creatures, and a trainer could consider himself lucky to posess one. He'd have to think about his team dynamics once he reached the Pokemon Center. First, however, he felt the need to address the little bird Pokemon that had landed on his head. It appeared to be following him, and seemed quite friendly. Silas never turned down a potential ally, remembering how rare they during his street urchin childhood. He got down on his knees to try and bring himself to the bird's eye level, checking on his poketech to see that it was a Zodinary. "Well then, now that the excitement is over, we can become acquainted. My name is Silas. You seem like a respectable and friendly Pokemon. Would you like to join up with me? I'm sure we can have exciting adventures just like the battle you got to watch." Silas was not normally a talkative person, so he hoped that his invitation sounded friendly enough. If the Zodinary decided to join him, he would make room for it to perch on his head or shoulder, or just follow him if that was what it prefered, and would head to the Pokemart to buy 3 pokeballs. He had enough money, and knew that he would need to have a few spares ones for instances such as this. If the Zodinary seemed reluctant, Silas was more than prepared to go into combat again. He kept his hand on his knee so that he could easily send out one of his own Pokemon if the bird needed to be battled before being caught. It all depended on the attitude of the Zodinary in front of him. Silas didn't really have a preference for how the event would turn out, since either option would be enjoyable for him.* OOC NOTE TO MODS: Spoiler: click to toggle

The trainer you just battled took no notice as you called after him, and just continued to walk until you lost him amongst the houses and trees. He seemed a rather odd fellow, but he gave you a Chanyu all the same; that's pretty cool. Anyhow, onto the Zodinary. It listened to you as you spoke, and just watched you curiously and tilted its head with thought. It clearly wasn't sure whether it wanted to join you or not. After all, it hadn't really seen much of you and your ways. It had just randomly landed on your head and decided to watch your battle. It chirped with uncertainty; it really didn't know whether it wanted to leave its wild and free life to join you. But it wasn't a dumb bird either. It figured that you would just battle it if it refused to join you, and judging by how you pulled a victory just now against a much tougher opponent, its chances winning against you were slim. So, it chirped again, and settled itself down on your shoulder. It hadn't seemed totally willing to join you, but it had joined you all the same. Now you'd better just hope it'll stay with you as you make your way over to the Mart to buy a few pokeballs. You looked around, and it wasn't long until you spotted the bright-blue roof in the distance. After all, you don't get many rooves that brightly colored in a town like Nogou. You make your way towards it, and step through the door. The shop is pretty empty, apart from the clerk (of course) and an old man dressed in all-black huddled in the far corner. He looks a bit...depressed, and he's just gazing at the rack of potions. Anyhow, you grab 3 pokeballs from the rack in front of you, and take them up to the clerk. For once, the woman sitting there seems pretty normal. She looks at the 3 pokeballs, and just simply states, "$180, please." You hand over the cash, she counts it, and nods. "Thank you for shopping at the Nogou Pokemon Mart," she says in a plain, boring tone. You turn around, and to your surprise, the old man is standing there right in front of you, and he gazes at you with distant eyes. "Tim-Timothy?" he says to you, sounding surprised and confused. "But I thought you had died! I just attended your funeral! Why are you here? Why have you come back, Timothy?" he says, sounding more and more insane with every word. He's clearly mistaking you for somone you're not. Unless you have some secret identity...which I strongly doubt. Anyhow, what're you going to do now? Point out to this weird old man that you're alive? Catch the Zodinary before it flies off? I leave it up to you. OOC| Not a plot, and I added 3 pokeballs to your profile and took away $180. |

Silas was pleased to note that the Zodinary seemed eager to join him. Utilizing one of the new Pokeballs, he placed it next to it, hoping it would hop into the ball itself. Silas had no reason to doubt that the bird would join of its own free will, but he also knew that he had no problem battling it. His Snorunt could use more practice with her ice moves before he taught it Ice Fang. He smiled and spoke quietly to the Zodinary. "Here you go, little one." While Silas waited for the Zodinary to enter its ball and zip off towards the PC, he appeared to have been accosted by an old man who claimed he was someone named Timothy. Silas was puzzled. He had never visited this continent before arriving a few months ago with Pinsir. Unless this man had foundations in Ecruteak City, there was no way he could be related to him. He decided the best course of action would be to calmly talk to the old man and help him realize the simple mistake. "Easy there, good sir. I am not Timothy. I am Silas, born in Johto at Ecruteak City, raised on the streets of Goldenrod. I don't think we've had the opportunity to meet." Silas was always wary when it came to dealing with those who seemed distraught. The old man didn't seem like much of a threat, but one could never be sure with those whose sanity wasn't all there. Hopefully both matters would clear up soon. |

As you had expected, the Zodinary did go into the Pokeball, and it zipped off suddenly as though it teleported, straight to the PC. But, now you had an old man to take care of. What was he doing again? Creeping you out, or at least I would be by the way he's talking. I've never actually had someone mistaken me for someone else, but I just think that'd be weird, but nevertheless, I am sure it happens all the time to people. "Wow...y-you're not Timothy? Oh the horror! He really is gone...Oh sorry, I've been hallucinating recently. My nephew, Timothy, died a tragic death, and every young trainer I see come along here, I see his face. We were so close, and yet he died a few months ago. I'm quite sorry for bothering you, but you actually do look just like him. Your face, the eyes, even the clothing you wear reminds me of him. M-may I...touch you?" he asked. Whoa, well, this was just getting more creepy. This old man really sees his dead nephew in you. That was strange. Even stranger that he wanted to touch you. Maybe it was some way of getting to be close with his nephew. But still, it just seems strange that he, out of the blue, would want to like, hug you, touch you, whatever else he wanted from you, just because you look like his deceased family member. Well, with the Pokemon away, you had a few choices. Go along with whatever this man wants, maybe try and help him get through his grieving, or just push him away and move on with your own life. I, personally, would choose option one, but maybe you're a bit kinder than I am when it comes to the older generations, especially kooky ones like this old bat. Though, I can't speak for you, thus it is up to you. What will you do? |

The old man was obviously in great distress. Silas knew the pain of having not had a family for very long. Time had blanketed those feelings of remorse and depression a long time ago for him, but the old man seemed to not have achieved that level of closure yet. Since coming to Alternia, Silas had become much more open to people. The credit wasn't to be given just to the change of scenery. His Pokemon had taught him the value of teamwork and friendship. Silas thought about how Pinsir selflessly protected Snorunt from the Gible's dragon rage. If his old warrior could do something like that, perhaps he could as well. "I am truly sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is never easy." Silas took the man's hand in his and patted it. If the man needed to hug him or whatever to get through this tough time, then the trainer would do what he could to help the grieving process along. He wasn't in any particular rush or anything, so he didn't mind spending some time with him. That one little part of his mind continued to spin though, planning his next move after probably listening to some stories about Timothy. "I'm sure he was a good person, especially with a caring uncle like yourself." Silas was also pleased to note that the Zodinary had decided to join him. He noted interestingly that he now had three flyers on his team, when just a few days ago he had none. Considering now he had a Murkrow and a Zodinary to spare, he pondered as to whether he should try using them as bartering chips or not. The options seemed limitless. You were a kind man, but things weren't always as they seemed. Of course, you had no idea. And as the older man spoke of his nephew and you allowed him to grace his old withered fingers across you young face, he was reminded of the hard times. He smiled at you, one tear slowly rolling down his cheek as he laughed a bit. "Thank you young man. I have a good feeling about you." And it was true, older people could sense good...and bad right? No wait, that was dogs. But well, the old man soon turned on his heel and began to limp away. Of course, him talking to you had distracted you from the slight purple haze that laid in the air around you, and soon enough you'd feel a presence behind you. You'd quickly just turn to look behind you and there you would find a man and a little girl. The older man, in his late 40s, early 50s was slimmer and wearing a business suit that seemed very expensive. At further inspection you'd find that his hair was gray and slicked into a nice held still spot, while his eyes seemed to be purple instead of a normal brown or green. Odd, but you were in a world of fantastical creatures, so who were you to judge. Next to him, stood a little girl who held the older man's hand. Upon her tiny form was a purple and white dress, with a purple bow in her hair propped nicely upon her head. A nice pink necklace gracing her tiny neck. "Silas. It's good to meet you finally...face to face." The older man spoke as if he believed in the great circle of things. As if everything had it's reason. Quite the odd analogy, but I'm sure you knew of the tone I mean. "I don't have much time, so I'll be brief." He said, smiling warmly to you as he began to get ready for a story. "Across town there is a warehouse, in the name of Widmore Corp, within that building are three kidnapped children. They are being held there by a very evil man. I need someone like yourself to rescue them." The older man laid quite the burden on you, but it wasn't that big of a deal was it? Alright, maybe it was. They might have powerful Pokemon or maybe weapons. But it doesn't matter. The little girl looked sad and it could be a big move for a young warrior like yourself couldn't it? Your call. |

While the old man relieved his grief through Silas, he casually reached down and looked at some of the things that popped up on his Poketech. One was a trade for a Ralts for a Chanyu from Sora. It sounded like a fair deal, and Silas knew Sora was better with dragons than he was. Not to mention Silas had heard of the potential of a powerful support Pokemon like Gardevoir could be. He also punched in a lottery ticket with the last twenty bucks to his name. It couldn't hurt. While this was going on, Silas finally noticed the purple haze in the air after the old man took his leave. He cursed himself for his unattentiveness and prayed that the haze wasn't some form of Smog or Poison Gas. He instantly whirled around and covered his mouth with his hand and shirt. He didn't want to breathe in any more of the gas than he already had. He also didn't like being cornered, and knew that there was one pokemon he carried with him that was immune to any poison attacks. He reached down to his belt and hit the button on Ekans' ball. While the light released Ekans into the environment, he whispered to his faithful serpent. "Watch these two, Ekans. Watch them carefully." Silas locked eyes with the man and responded carefully. "I don't like being snuck up on. If you already know where these children are being held, why not go yourself. Why am I so important?" Silas didn't like the situation, but he sensed that he could get something out of this. The thief in him started to reawaken, and he would handle this situation like staring down an angry Tauros. |

The older man turned to the young girl that held his hand, smiling down to her. Turning back to you with a warm smile, he'd blink before begining to speak to you. "Silas Redding, your destiny is greater then you know. For example, my son is somewhere out in Alternia...and was just a young trainer, but was handpicked by a legendary Pokemon to find what he needed to. And why? Because he is more important then he knows, just like you are. You are much more important then you...or even I know." The older man understood how confusing that statement was. How could he know all this, and still not know what your destiny was. He'd chuckle a bit, not an evil laugh, more of a fatherly grin. As you took out your Poison type, you were quite slick witted and knew to protect yourself. Of course the purple smoke was nothing but a haze...that was there for a reason unknown to you. But it had been quick thinking. And only the best trainers were able to think on their feet. "I can't force your hand, just as no person can be. They have to make the right decision for themselves. But I believe that most people are inherently good. And you are no exception, young thief." The last statement almost made in a blam! kinda way. A cocky grin followed up by the man in the business suit. Standing straight up fight, he'd fix that tie of his as he turned to young girl. "Come young one." The little girl would giggle as the older man turned on his heel, still hand in hand with the young girl, walking away from you leaving you to decide your decision. Of course, the world was full of decisions. Over to the left was a beautiful lady sitting by herself with a pikachu taking nap on her lap. A small Machop lifting large rocks in the area to your right working out, maybe you could fight or capture him. Or there was the greater good. Choice was yours young warrior!! [] Short. I know. But it's a bridge to more awesomeness [] |

Silas frowned as the man and girl walked away. He didn't like being put in this type of position. There had to be more to it than what the man had allowed him to learn, and Silas wanted to be sure that he was ready before running into an ambush. Ekans looked up to him, trying to discern if he was alright. "Kanssss?" Silas smiled down at his little snake. "No, I'm OK, my friend. Return." Silas pressed the button on Ekans' pokeball and watched as it flashed back inside. His Poketech had started to beep again. Someone had heard about the Ralts he had recieved, and made a very nice offer of a pretty strong Rattata. Silas wasn't so sure that he wanted to lose the Ralts that quickly, but knew that he already had Drowzee and didn't really need two Psychic pokemon. The Rattata seemed strong enough, so he accepted the deal, which occured via Poketech. The next beeping was something far more important. Someone had contacted him willing to tutor his Snorunt Ice Fang if he could teach his Pokemon Night Slash. The time stamp was during the battle against the dragon trainer. Silas knew he had to make a decision, and ultimately decided that tutoring this Pokemon was in his favor. If he could tutor whatever a Cthooloo was, then he could get Snorunt stronger and more prepared to take on this warehouse. He pressed the button on Snorunt's pokeball and sent her out. After she appeared, he smiled as she looked up. "Now Snorunt, my friend is going to help you learn a move real quick. You behave yourself while you're training with him, OK? The sooner you learn the move, the sooner you can come back and play." Snorunt didn't look too happy to be leaving Silas' side, but she nodder her head and smiled. "Good. Now return, and I'll see you soon." After recalling his ice pokemon, Silas did the poketech transaction to recieve the Cthooloo. He didn't summon him quite yet, though. First he headed for the Pokemon Center and walked straight up to the PC. He had to do some shifting of his team around. He sent Murkrow to the PC and withdrew Skorupi. He knew that if Skorupi could show this new Pokemon how to do it as an active guide, then this would be a lot easier than his tutoring of Doduo. He walked outside the Pokemon Center and towards a few trees outside of the main town. He threw the two pokeballs onto the ground, summoning the Cthooloo and Skorupi. "Go! Skorupi! Cthooloo!" After the flash of light subsided, he smiled at his Skorupi, and looked up in amazement at the Cthooloo. It was certainly a powerful pokemon, and Silas was greatly impressed. "Good day, Cthooloo. I am not sure if your trainer explained every thing to you, but your on temporary loan to me so I can teach you a new move. I'll send you right back to him after we're done. It's a pleasure to meet you." Silas smiled at the Cthooloo too. However, there was no time to waste, and he decided that he should start the tutoring so he could move on to other things. "Now. On too business. We're going to teach you the move Night Slash. It's a powerful physical attack that should work well for you. It not only will imbue your type, but your powerful claws. The first thing to know is that this is a move of darkness. What you are going to need to do is focus all of your energy and dark aura and try and concentrate on your claws. Close your eyes and just feel the energy gathering there. Then you are going to try slashing the tree in front of us with all of your pent up energy. Watch Skorupi here, and you should get the basic idea. Skorupi! Use Night Slash on the target tree! Cthooloo, you follow it up with one of your own after Skorupi moves out of the way." Silas hoped Snorunt was doing just as well and desired this to wrap up as quickly as possible so he could get her back. |

So you were attempting to teach your friend's Pokemon a move that one of yours already knew. An interesting strategy, and truthfully. It was a very, very good idea. Now, I am personally a good judge of move tutoring. So as the tentacled dark typed Pokemon, watched your tiny Scorpion like creature, it tried to take it in. Studying for a moment with it's glowing red eyes as it began to focus on the actions the purple scorpion was performing. As the Snorunt moved in, it would slam it's tiny needle arms with dark energy into the tree. The attack was perfect, the tiny Pokemon you had withdrawn out of the PC not disappointing whatsoever. But still, there was the point of the dark type monster following up. So it went into action, it's dangerous claws swiping hard and fast at the tree to take it down with it's dark energy. And as it's attack landing, the tree was damage. A large scrap across the body of the trunk. As it stood back, it seemed to glanced towards you and the tree. Truth was, while the tree was damaged...it didn't seem scarred by dark energy. And if that hadn't told you, the move just hadn't reached it's full potential. But the scorpion garnering the time to help your lent Pokemon, the leap in learning had been strong and fast. Just it wasn't quite complete yet. Night Slash Progress 55% |
