Ah, the cool afternoon breeze of the fresh village air whips past your face as you stare into the bright meadow in front of you. Shadowy trees create a sky scape miles away from the edge of the meadow, which seems like an endless amount of miles away. Your first real beginning as a Pokemon trainer, leaving the comforting treehouses and crisp, clean morning air of Nogou Village. You would've started this same journey several years ago if your dear Turtwig hadn't, well you know, been stolen from you after that fateful battle with the two foreigners. However, the day is young and that was a past memory, so let's begin this journey you have waited for all these years.

As you look into the bright sun, you spot a flock of grey-colored birds migrating to the west. One puny looking one looks confused and glides gently towards the meadow ground, stopping ten feet directly in front of you. Its black eyes glow with enthusiasm for battle, are you ready for this?

When the stars stop shining, dreams will shatter before your eyes. Know that you're not alone!
The girl looked at you. Almost with an “excuse me?” look, except a little less. You had just given her Pokémon orders, even though your Pokémon could barely move or fight. In her mind, the last thing she wanted to do is take orders to get her little baby hurt. She probably wanted the help, but she wasn’t COMPLETELY helpless. She looked at her swablu, and gave her some orders. “Alright, it’s time baby, go in and use astonish twice!” she ordered, kick up a leg from behind.

The emo kid looked at you both in disgust. “Ugh. Alright, let’s do this Murkrow. Use peck, then pursuit!” he ordered, a lot more of an angry goth then an emo. Well this could have gone better. The babe was starting to stand on her own feet, but you were still her savior, sorta. The Pokémon prepped themselves for their orders, and rushed in. They had all used physical attacks, so this should be good. Starly focused his attack, and then started rushing back into the battlefield.

Swablu soon joined him, flying up behind the Murkrow to try to take him by surprise. Starly came in front of Murkrow, who tried to peck before quickly interrupted by astonish from swablu from behind Starly worked with the little blue bird, and tackled Mukrow. Swablu went in again with astonish, and the round was a complete success. Bet you wished you got more refs like that, huh? Murkrow hit the ground, knocked out. Meaning you had won! Woot!

The goth/emo kid threw his pokeball on the ground. “God damnit! That’s not cool! What the hell?” he screamed, getting really angry. Okay. It was kinda weird how emotional this kid was, so I suppose it was okay that he was called emo, cause that is technically what he is. His Murkrow was returned into the pokeball, and the kid ran off. Now that you won the battle, maybe you could try to get this beauty to be your prize?

Starly gained 6 :exp Went up to level 6!

"Yes!" Oak shouted as Starly and Swablu teamed up to finally defeat Murkrow and the emo jerk. As the kid returned Murkrow and ran off, Oak turned to face the girl. The round went amazing for the two of them and Oak felt like for once in his journey he may have met a friend. "Yeah I am sorry that I tried to control your Pokémon," Oak apologized. "See I was just trying to help. I hate when guys are jerks to girls and I didn’t want your Swablu to have to faint," Oak followed up. He flashed a small smile and then looked over to examine Swablu and Starly. The both of them battled great together, but they both seemed very hurt.

"Sorry Swablu," Oak apologized to the small blue bird Pokémon. "You two both battled great!" Oak shouted sounding very confident. Oak turned around and looked off into the distance. Where to go now? There had to be a million places he could go to, he just had to think of one. Just then he turned back around to face the girl and her Swablu. "So, I was just going to take Starly to the Pokémon center, he’s really hurting," Oak paused. "Perhaps you and Swablu would like to accompany us?" Oak purposed with another smile. He couldn't help but smile so much, the girl was rather attractive.

Starly flew back and onto Oak's shoulder and twisted around to face Swablu. He motioned his neck in the direction of him and Oak, as if he was trying to convince Swablu and the girl to follow them. Oak started to laugh and shook his head a few times. "By the way, the names Oak. But I still haven’t gotten yours," Oak said trying to stop laughing.

The blonde beauty stared out as the emo jerk ran away. Her eyes were filled with worry, he could always come back to try and haunt her. But for the time being, she was glad that her and Swablu were safe. Her eyes shimmered as you talked to her. She looked up at you, and her eyes seemed to sparkle when hearing that you dislike when guys treat girls like trash. The guys she was around always seemed to treat her like trash, and she was plain sick of it! But you seemed different. You seemed so sweet to her, and she smiled at you. Of course, as of yet, her feelings for you had just budded a little bit, but they still had lots of room to grow. If I were to put the amount of feelings she had for you now, it would be a new friend, a new guy friend, one that was kind of cute in her opinion. Of course, being how she is, she wasn't going to let you know, and therefore, you would have to catch on! Anyways, she smiled, and said, "Oh its fine... thanks for coming to my aid, or else, me and Swablu would have been doomed..."

The Swablu looked at you and just shrugged a bit. She seemed to not care about how the situation was solved, she was just glad it was solved! She looked over at you abd Starly, and hobbled over to Starly. Uh oh, was it love at first flight for the two birds?! Whatever the case, the birds started conversing in their own little Pokemon language, and it seemed like flirting to any other Pokemon, but to you and the blonde haired beauty, it seemed like two normal Pokemon talking. The girl looked up at you as you had proposed that she should come, and she said, "Sure! I would love to, I mean, I need to get Swablu healed as soon as possible."

As Starly flew onto your shoulder, wincing a bit in pain (as his wing was injured from before,) Swablu was picked up by her trainer, and placed on her shoulder, where she sat, similar to Starly. When you said your name, the girl smiled, ready to introduce herself, as she said, "My name is Bella, and that boy who was messing with me, his name is James..." She smiled at you a cute smile, as she followed you, and boy did she have that girl next door charm down! Good luck, man!

As the beautiful blonde girl accepted the proposal of accompany Oak to the Pokémon Center, he couldn’t help but smile. This was the first time on this whole journey he had met someone he liked, and she seemed to feel the same. It wasn’t like they were in love, but he did like her. Not only was she beautiful or a Pokémon trainer, but her personality seemed pretty cool as well. He just hoped it wasn’t the wrong decision allowing her to come with him. And hey if it went well, maybe he’s even ask her to journey with him for a while, or maybe even more.

Oak’s smile spread even further across his face when she told him her name. Bella, she didn’t have a bad name either. Oak tried to distract himself from the beautiful girl now known as Bella, so he redirected his vision toward the two birds who seemed to already have a thing going on. He didn’t want to seem too interested just yet, besides he barely knew this girl.

“Well, what are you waiting for?” Oak said waving his hand forward. He looked around for the direction in which he thought the Pokémon center was located in, made sure Bella was ready and began to walk the path. “So Bella, What made you want to become a trainer?” Oak asked as they made there way to the Pokémon center.

Bella smiled and hummed thoughtfully, turning her gaze up to you. "Trainer?" She cooed, her voice smooth as silk, soft as the coo of her Swablu. "Oh, because of Swablu!" She smiled and shook her head. "No, I want to be a coordinator." Sheesh, what is it with pretty girls and the preference of coordination over good, old-fashioned training? "But... I'm better in the battle parts, really." She said.

Her Swablu spoke with your Starly as the pair of you walked, their little chirps never too straightforward, as far as your own ears could track. "But... Swablu followed dad home from a hike one day and mom said I could keep her. So... here we are. She was just so pretty... I wanted to see what else she could do if she was stronger."

She watched you carefully for a few moments while you walked; You and your Starly. "How about you? What made you want to be such a brave trainer?" Ooh! Was that a slip? Well, she hid it fairly well. "I mean... I don't know very many people that would just waltz into some stranger's battle for morals, do you?" ... Well, perhaps she didn't know very many good people...

Oak looked at the girl the whole time she spoke back to him. It wasn’t anything like a stalkers look, but just an interesting look. Each time the girl spoke to Oak, he found her seeming more and more interesting. Coordinator? Oak answered back as she ended telling him she wanted to be a Coordinator. "Not me, I just want to be a Trainer. Actually, I want to find a Pokémon that was stolen from me a long time ago. It was a Turtwig to be exact," Oak said as he continued looking around fro the Pokémon Center. Instead of memories of Turtwig he had so often found himself thinking, he began thinking of what it could be like if he invited this girl to travel with him. What other than a perfect duo than a trainer and a coordinator whose bird Pokémon are in love? Sounds perfect right? Or is Oak getting a little too ahead of himself?

Oak focused back into the girls’ eyes as she continued telling the story of her Swablu. The girl was just as beautiful as she made her Swablu out to be, and I know we can’t understand Swablu and Starly talk, but I bet that Starly was making Swablu feel like she was pretty amazing. I started this journey with a Koffing that my dad gave me from Kijutsu. He’s a pretty good Pokémon, but he sure is a klutz. I just caught Starly recently. He wouldn't even obey me when I first got him. I feel like we are bonding a lot more now though. I also have a Pineco I just caught," Oak said as Bella finished telling the story of her and Swablu.

Oak looked away from the girl once more and looked all around. He knew that the Pokémon center had to be close by, he just couldn't quite remember where. We really need to heal our Pokémon, Oak said to Bella. Oak then looked down at his Poketech watch. I'm feeling a bit lucky for some reason," he mumbled to himself. He began hitting buttons on his Poketech, before looking up and continuing on his journey. "Well a bit of gambling never hurt anybody" he added with a smile after purchasing 3 tickets from the Weekly Lottery.

Onward! We got a world to take over!
You hit enter on your lotto tickets and the small, watch-like machine says purchase succesful. Have a wonderful day. Bella then taps you on the shoulder and motions for you to turn around. You turn your head and see a large figure about 12 yards away. The creature ducks behind some forest growth as soon as it realizes you're seeing it. You spin back around, puzzled by the mysterious creature. Bella puts on a worried expression and continues walking, a little faster now.

After about ten minutes of silence she whispers "I'm frightened. That thing has been following us for maybe a half an hour now", she reaches toward your hand but quickly pulls it back, thinking that one slip up was quite enough. The two of you continue down the road-- Bella putting on a little blush. From the corner of your eye you can tell that the thing following you is getting closer and closer... it better not be some psycho kidnaper following YOUR girl... or someone soon to be your girl. Cautiously, the two of you pick up the pace, hoping to find a pokemon center soon.

The setting sun cast an orange glow upon you and Bella. If you were stuck out here past dark, that thing stalking you won't hesitate to attack. You and Bella continue through the woods until you come across signs of human life. Tire tracks, soda cans, ect. And pretty soon you stroll into the edges of Nogou city. And in the distance you can see an old stone pokemon center! You and Bella exchange joyous faces and begin darting over to the center. When suddenly a heavy object lands on both of you, knocking you over... unfortunately your head landed in such a way that you left a long line of saliva on Bella's arm. Bella was most utterly disturbed to say the least. The object leaps of of you and lets out a loud squawk. You turn to see that it is an enraged Dodou.

But why on earth would it be pissed at the two of you. The answer was on your shoe. The bottom of your foot was covered in yolk and egg shells. You went and accidentally stepped on one of dodou's eggs!!! Then you realize the pokemon center is close enough to run into. But when you start running you see that Bella's legs is in a disturbing and painful looking position. This meant her leg was broken and that she is unable to get to the center. You can save yourself by running into the center and letting Bella get pecked to a pulp. Or you can risk you and your pokemon's lives by battling.

Looking back up from his Poketech, Oak felt something touch him on the shoulder. “What the?” Oak said to himself. Looking over, Oak was relieved to find that it was just Bella tapping him. His relief would soon disappear as he turned around to find something staring at him a distance back. A second later, the creature began to hide in the forest, and Bella began looking scared.

“Its probably nothing,” Oak said trying to sound like the tough hero Bella thought he was after she began to whisper to him about how she was scared and thought that the creature had been following them Finally after more walking, the two came to the edge of Nogou, where they found an old Pokémon Center. “Perfect!” Oak shouted out loud without hiding his excitement. He looked over at Bella, finding that she too was wearing a joyous smile.

“Beat you there!” Oak laughed out loud as he began running for the center. Next thing Oak can remember, he was tumbling toward the ground. “What the hell!” Oak shouted as he looked back from his saliva to find an angry Doduo who looked way stronger than any Pokémon he currently had. Looking down, Oak found that he must have smashed Doduo’s children, because his shoes were now covered in egg yolk and shells. Oak would soon be freaking out even more though, for looking over he finds that Bella’s leg has been broken! ”Oh my gosh!” Oak shouted in fear.

Knowing what he now had to do, Oak stood up and grabbed one of his pokeballs that contained his most healthy Pokémon, Koffing. Oak tossed the ball and in the matter of seconds, his faithful Koffing appeared. “Its up to us Koffing. Start this with a Poison Gas followed by a Strike attack!” Oak shouted before turning back to Bella. ”Hang in there Bella, I’m gonna get you help I promise,” Oak said trying to once again sound heroic. As he awaited Koffing to attack, he tried to think of the positive things like maybe catching a powerful Pokémon like Doduo, or maybe he could even find a Pokémon egg! You know, one he hadn’t already smash.

Well, this battle was promising to be hard, seeing as this mother Doduo was considerably higher in level, then all your pokemon. Still, you never know what can happen.

Koffing reared back, as it began shooting out clouds of purple smoke, the clouds began to cover a lot of the area around the Doduo. In a reaction to the ever growing clouds, the Doduo reared back, and tried to stay away from the clouds. However it was in vain. The clouds eventually caught up to her, and she was engulfed in the smoke, inhaling a lot of it. Following the rest of your orders, Koffing lunged forward, into the clouds of smoke and rammed the Doduo. It barely moved back, but as a reaction, viciously pecked Koffing, knocking it back quite a bit.

It seems that this Doduo was pretty tough for it's size. I mean what do you expect? It is a mother, and there is nothing more vicious then an angry mother. The Doduo kept moving around in the field of smoke, trying not get any in her eyes. It seems like it was a good idea to use Poison Gas, cause now the Doduo, in a way, is blind. All in all, it was a pretty decent first round... At least for now...

Oak put his hands up to his nose and mouth, careful not to breathe in any of the poison. The round was successful, but that didn't mean much. There wasn't much more for Oak and Koffing to do. Oak looked back at Bella and began to frown. How could he let such a beautiful girl break her leg? "Its going to be ok," Oak said to the girl trying to re-assure her.

Oak turned back to the battle and his floating poison Pokémon. They could try to learn Rollout again; after all it is Doduo's weakness. But after the last time, Oak wasn't sure he was the best at tutoring moves. Other than that left the Global List of Attacks that was a page uploaded on his Poketech that showed attacks all Pokémon are capable of; things like punching and intimidating. After that were Koffing's actual attacks, Tackle, Poison Gas, and Smog. Not much of a variety for Oak to use. Especially when he was battling a huge momma bird.

Oak figured if he was going to win this battle, he was going to have to pull off some kind of combo. And he was going to have to use moves that he knew he Koffing could do. "Koffing, use Smog. It should make it harder for the Doduo to see. After you release the smog attack, use Tackle!" Oak shouted. Oak then began examining the dirt below him, searching for any unharmed eggs he could take.

OCC: There are no un damaged eggs cause you left them way back there... Dodou has been chasing you for like... a half hour.
Koffing hovers through the field, mixing up more foul gases to unleash smog. The bird, on the other hand uses one head to blow the gasses back and the other to prepare to attack (hey, that rhymes! ). Finally, the purple orb thing pops his mouth open. A deep purple haze quickly envelopes the field and pretty much kills your nose. A confused shriek let loose from doduo... actually in this kind of smog I doubt even Koffing can see! Good work, genius. *rolls eyes*

Finally, the warriors will attempt an attack in this purple death fog. Koffing leaps outward with a tackle while the birdie hops up and uses what ever she uses. No sound of impact came from the smoky Smog attack... just coughing and moans of disappointment. The pokemon had both missed... and neither can see. But then your little ray of hope shines down on you. Doduo winces and makes a tiny squawk as she tries to ignore her poison damage. Which is 4 because Smog added a second dose of poison. Lucky break!

Oak's whole body began to shake. His nerves were starting to get the best of him and he knew that he had to do something quick or else the pain of the beautiful Bella's hurt leg was going to eat her alive. He looked back at her like he so often did, making sure she wasn't in too much pain. He imagined that was probably impossible, thinking about how bad a broken leg had to hurt.

Just as Oak was about to call out his orders, something on his Poketech begun to beep and flash red. Looking down on at the popular electronic, Oak realized that he had a new message from the Zaroff Lottery. While sure to keep an eye still on the battle, Oak opened up the message, and couldn't believe what he was reading. "Oh my gosh. Bella, remember when I said I was feeling lucky for a strange reason and bought 3 tickets," Oak said but not really expecting an answer. It just so happened, that one of the three tickets had 3 matching numbers, giving him the weekly rare which was a Sudowoodo or a choice Uncommon Pokémon. Also, if that wasn't enough, his third ticket got 2 matching numbers, giving him a choice common or $150 dollars! How strange that Oak's random feeling of luckiness cashed in so well.

Oak checked the choice he would like for each, which was the Sudowoodo and $150. He then pondered if he should buy a couple other tickets. "Oh, why not?" he said as he typed ten numbers in buying 2 more tickets. Zoning back to the battle, Oak found that he would now have a new help on the way, when he received his Sudowoodo. Who knew how long that would be though, so Oak had to do something now. "Koffing, lets try Rollout again. We can do it I know it!" Oak shouted hoping to have a little more success than last time. (Should already have 10% learned from earlier in journey).

"Ok Koffing, I think this is a better time to try to learn this because the smoggy field may stop Doduo from being able to attack you, giving you an easier time of concentrating your mind and energy. Plus, maybe these surroundings will help you work easier," Oak said before giving out his directions of how to use Rollout. "No need to rush right in to this, so for this rounds lets just work on the spinning. Rollout works when a Pokémon gets enough momentum and rolls into an opponent with pretty good force. At least that the gist of it," Oak said hoping he wasn't being too confusing for his poison friend. "You are already levitating in the air, so like last time begin to roll in the air. You can shoot out some gas every now and then to give yourself some more momentum to get your roll. Once you start spinning, you shoot out some more gas to roll you in the way of Doduo!" Oak shouted ending his training commands. "That’s all we will do for this round, go get 'em!"

Yeah, yeah, teaching Rollout … man, these kids nowadays – ahem – well, let’s just get this show on the road, shall we?

Doduo shrieked, very loudly – and right in your face. The twin-headed bird was very fast on its feet, and to target it with a less accurate move might not be the best course of action. However, in a random fight like this, whatever that might not be in your favour could work out to be extremely advantageous, so we’ll just go along the route of move-learning to see where it brings us. Since you were feeling lucky (hey, it’s not everyday people won the lottery!), you were going to work on Rollout once again … perhaps Lady Luck would smile brighter for ya.

Koffing rolled around in the air, and so did his eyes. The shrieking of the bird was sort of annoying, well, strike that: it was just plain annoying. Irritated but having no way to express it properly, the spherical Pokémon released a burst of gas angrily, hurriedly picking up momentum with every other spin it made. Koffing had no idea when he was supposed to reach maximum momentum – you hadn’t told him how long to roll for.

Before your Pokémon could hurtle towards Doduo with newfound strength, the bird was already striking at the purple ball. She was extremely quick on her feet – she needed only a small amount of time to pinpoint Koffing’s precise location. Striking with her beak, she tried to peck repeatedly at Koffing with her twin-heads (which could potentially mean twice the hurt), but she got a nasty shock. Even though Rollout technically wasn’t supposed to be used that way, the side-spin of Koffing’s Rollout attempt lashed out at Doduo – naturally, factoring in the gas.

Getting a nasty smattering of poisonous gas, Doduo stumbled backwards in a hurry, both of her heads screaming. You were probably going to have a headache after this … well. Koffing stopped his rolling, but not everything stopped – his gas was still flowing out uncontrollably. It was an aftereffect of your orders: you had told him to use the gas to aid his movement, but since his movement was forcibly stopped (and the gas wasn’t), the entire situation ended up like this.

Well, after this, it’s pretty clear that luck may have been with you for the lottery, but it still wasn’t working for move-learning.

Oak laughed and shook his head when he watched the results of his move tutoring. It was like Koffing made a new move out of listening to Oak’s directions. ”Maybe I’m just not made for move tutoring” Oak mumbled to himself feeling a bit like a failure. Despite somehow luckily doing some sort of damage, this turn of teaching was worse than the first one. Oak was going to have to switch up his techniques.

”What am I doing wrong?” Oak asked himself. It wasn’t like he was trying to tell Koffing to just jump right into it; he was slowly trying to get the hang of it first. Isn’t that what he was supposed to do? Just then Oak’s eyes began to shine and he started to smile. “Maybe I am going about this too slow,” Oak said. By now he was sure that Bella thought he was crazy. He just had what probably sounded like a full conversation with his self. Oh well, he was the one saving her so maybe that would counter the fact that he was sounded like a complete lunatic.

Just as Oak was about to shout out his attacks again, his Poketech started to beep again. He hit a few buttons and out popped a pokeball containing his Sudowoodo and his $150 he had won. “Heck yeah!” he shouted like a five year old who just received their first Pokémon. Closing the window on his Poketech, Oak put his money in his wallet and snapped the pokeball containing his Sudowoodo in the slot closest to his right hand; which happened to be his throwing hand.

Oak pondered if he should just send out Sudowoodo, but in the end decided just to use it as a back-up plan if he couldn’t get this move tutoring down yet again. “Alright Koffing, lets try something different,” Oak said with new determination. “This time you are going to float toward the ground. Now, once you get close to the ground, release your gas to catapult your way back up toward Doduo. However, when you are flying through the air, start rolling. This will help you get down the general idea of the move. Let’s do this!” Oak shouted hoping that his results were better than the first two.

Yes, that determination you’ve got right now was appropriate for your move-teaching attempts, but with your Koffing dizzy … stuff might just be different altogether, don’t you think? Anyway, since you’ve been giving your commands, we might as well see what’s been going on.

Half-hearing what you said through his dizziness, Koffing got enough of the gist of your statement to slowly head down to the ground. However, he was still dizzy, and asking him to roll towards Doduo might have been a little crazy on your part. Yet, not being able to disobey without blowing up in your face (kidding), the purple ball hurtled towards the ground. Somewhat misinterpreting your commands through his frizzled mind, Koffing started to spin where he was, eyes trying valiantly to lock on to Doduo.

You know, this might just work out.

Deciding to adopt the same quick strategy from before, the twin-headed Pokémon raced towards your spinning Koffing, giving him a quick swipe on his head (or was it body? It was hard to tell, seeing as he was spiraling). Koffing reeled back from the pain, quickly rolling backwards. As soon as he headed backwards, he remembered a word called ‘catapult’. Perhaps … this was the key for Rollout? Koffing decided to risk it with whatever he had left within him. Well, little did he and you realize that the brief reversal of position had gathered up extra momentum within your Pokémon.

As Koffing rolled forwards, a sudden realization struck your Pokémon. He couldn’t maneuver himself properly, let alone keep up this kind of speed! Since Rollout was sort of a turn-by-turn move that got stronger with each successive use, if Koffing wasn’t able to control his speed now, he’d be a massive ball of uncontrollable force when he launched into the final stages of Rollout. Anyway – back to the battle.

Doduo was mildly surprised at Koffing’s determination, but stood her ground as Koffing swept closer to her. With her beaks, the bird Pokémon swiftly struck at his purple skin, eliciting a cry from your Pokémon. If Doduo continued to switch between offense and defense this fluidly, your Pokémon could just be knocked out before you mastered Rollout.

Still, good round for you this time.
