Frank T. Hopkins, the Traveling Technician

A simple man of simple tastes, Frank is not a man to overindulge, especially not in clothing tastes. He can often be found in a pair of grey overalls, a simple yellow shirt and his workboots, because he has no reason to wear anything else - the warm, well insulated clothing is often necessary to prevent harm when working. Image is unimportant to Frank; when you're a working man like him, whatever helps you get your job done faster and helps you stay safe is clearly the best outfit.

Along with this simple garb, Frank's dangerous job as a technician requires him to wear a wealth of protective gear. This includes a pair of large safety gloves and welding goggles to prevent burning, kneepads as he often spends time crouched, and a construction helmet. The result is an, overall, perfect image of a man at work. Frank is quick to joke that the only thing that could harm him in these clothes is "a goddang big mamma-jamma of a stampede." This is often met with confusion among those who have never heard the word mamma-jamma used as a unit of measurement.

Though intelligent and certainly skilled, Frank is rather short. Standing at a mere 5'8", the technician is not spiteful of his rather stocky stature - quite the opposite, in fact. This size allows him to easily slip into tight passages or under pipes that often litter busy factories; no problem is out of his reach. Complimenting this height deficiency is a very powerful, well built frame and a face built to take a hit. Frank is sturdy, strong, and all around physically fit.

Frank's thick mat of brown hair and five-o-clock shadow compliment his rigid facial features perfectly. Though attractive, this engineer has little interest in presenting himself to women. After all, a girl would keep him locked into one place - not the best thing to do when you never know where your job will take you.

History:

What could be better for a simple man than a story of simple beginnings? Born iin a wooden cabin, in a small town known as Combee Cove, to a nurse (his mother) and a farmer (his father), you might say that Frank Thomas Hopkins was not born into greatness. No one would expect too much from a rural 'good ol' boy' like him - not now, and certainly not as he grew older. His father however, Tom Hopkins, was quite overjoyed to find himself with a son. He had found an heir, a boy to inherit what he had work his life to obtain. Unfortunately for Tom, his wife had not birthed a farmboy like he had wanted - she had brought a true genius into the world.

Now, now, I know I have identified Frank as a "simple" man thusfar, certainly not as a genius, but you haven't let me finish!

Growing up as many boys did in the country, Frank was a man who lived for hard work. Always willing to help his father cultivate the various vegetables and grains that littered his crops, he quickly learned the value of his efforts as the Hopkins Farm entered a boon period it had never seen before by the time Frank was seven. But no boy is without curiousity, and it was evident that Frank would not break this mold. From a very early age, he became interested in the many complex machines that his father used around the farm: tractors, cultivators, and tillers. By the time Frank was ten, this interest grew into a childish obsession.

Sneaking into the barn late at night after faking sleep, Frank began to patch up an old time vehicle to the best of his abillity. Tauros had lately become an outdated means of farming; with the onvoy of the modern engine, it was no longer necessary for the bison to draw heavy machinery. But, depsite this, they were a far more lowtech approach and, as such, had less problems and ultimately less costs associated with their work. Replacing the tires and stripping the engine out of the old tractor, Frank quickly turned the useless scrap of metal into a creation perfect for tilling, drawn solely by Tauros - all in just four months. Not bad, certainly not for a twelve year old on his first "fix me up."

Needless to say, Tom was impressed with the mechanical prowess his son boasted. Rather than waste those valuable hands on menial work like seed planting, Frank became the farm technician, carrying a tool belt around his waist before he was big enough to wear a real belt! Reading up on mechanical journals and engrossing himself with machinery, it's needless to say that Frank had no need for schooling - he was fully self-taught, and that was the way he liked it.

Fast-forward to the present. Tom Hopkins, finally reaching old age, has decided to give up the farming business and retire. Rather than give the land to his only son, however, Tom gave a parting gift to Frank, knowing that the now adult technician had no reason to settle down. With a trusty Tauros, the source of his inspiration, to accomidate him, Frank set out across Joukai Pass for Nogou City. Frank hoped to bring a little technology to the aging landscape. With a city of elders to greet him, there's no real telling how this good ol' boy, born 'n raised in the grasslands, will continue.

Personality:

Frank's an engineer. That means he solves problems; not problems such as "What is beauty?" mind you - he is no philosopher. No, Frank solves practical problems. A man who lives to work, if you have a mechanical conundrum, Frank can solve it before you can brew a pot of tea. With an overtly gifted mind, it seems as though the man of the country was created solely to preform mathmatics. A human calculator, if you will.

But, to get to this simply genius core, one must delve deep past a mask of simplicity. A man raised on morals, Frank would give you the shirt off his back if you so much as asked. He truly appreciates the simple things in life - the sunset right before an autumn rain, the smell of freshly grown corn, the warmth of oil on your chest as you ripped apart the undercarriage of your favorite car, just so you could replace it. Indeed, one might take Frank for a redneck - a country bumpkin, an idiot - if only because of his disposition toward enjoying the smallest of things. In a world of mistrust, of gambles, of fear like Kijutsu City, Frank is a breath of fresh air.

Something, it seems, that all the people of Kijutsu could use.

Starting Pokemon: Tauros
Nickname*: Hidalgo
Differences*: Slightly larger than your average Tauros, Hidalgo is covered with a dark, shaggier pelt. His firm back makes him ideal for riding, a trait that Frank uses to its fullest.

Starting Town: Kijutsu City
Poketech Color: Red
Other:
-A toolbox, with which Frank can repair nearly any machine with relative ease, as well as make a variety of simple devices on the fly.
-An acoustic guitar
-A lightweight saddle with which to ride on Hidalgo

Arsene, is this your second account? If so, it needs 4 paragraphs for appearance, even with the picture.
