Global Attacks?

I took a peek at the Global Attack List and had some questions...

What about things like Scratch, Bite, Tail Whip, Headbutt, Tackle? Attacks like these seem like they should be usable by any Pokemon with the proper appendages, moreso than some of the few attacks listed in the existing list. (Intimidate, Focus?)

Positively scrumptious!
I always imagined Skullbash and Headbutt to be an upgraded Tackle though. o.o But yeah, I think Strike replaces all of them for some reason. >>

Thats how the GAL used to be, and it was rather unfair to pokemon that actually have those moves. Strike IS the GAL version of Scratch, Bite, Tail Whip (Attack form only), Headbutt, and Tackle, its comparatively weaker than all of them. Strike is any form of attack with natural weapons or appendages. Intimidate is Growl, Staredown is Leer, Belly Flop is Body Slam (for lack of a better term for the attack), and Flap is Gust.

Focus replaced Agility on the list and is very useful, but pales in comparison to real stat up moves that give you permanent bonuses for the battle. It does give that edge when the same old attack doesn't hit or isn't powerful enough to penetrate something, but a couple Focus(Attack) or Focus(Agility) will put you over that threshold.

The GAL isn't meant to be used in the place of real moves. If you have Pound, you probably don't want to use Strike too often, unless you want to try to vary up your method of attack for less predictability.

Well I've seen the GAL doing more damage than the actual moves on occasion. The GAL is a filler for those that lack attacks such as Ralts, Magikarp, Feebas, Abra...ect. Mainly the Pokemon that do not learn any offensive attacks early on. Once you start toget some actual attcks you tend to stop using the GAL.
