Now that Maji was gone for the time of the tournament. Brolis was alone with his Pokemon. The tournament was now over, the epic failure of Brolis was rather saddening, but over all, he decided that it would be best if he just left it be, it was time to wind down, focus on a different strategy. He needed to train his Pokemon in the knowledge of new attacks. Those three were the best he'd ever had, and with Maji gone, he was now alone once more to do the deed that he had started by himself. Becoming the next best Pokemon breeder was his goal, and he could now do that. He decided to call upon the three that were going to be used. "Lets go, everyone!" he said, throwing all of their Pokeballs into the air. Each one opened and materialized into what Pokemon they were. He then stood in front of them, smiling. "Okay, so it's time to start some major training. I need you guys to really work with me now. We've entered the Tournament of Aegis and well, we failed. So, it's time to buckle down and start learning some new moves, Maji has given me a love for move tutoring, so I'm going to try my hardest to see if any of you can do this. Starting with...Dusk, you haven't really ever been used in a full battle yet, so teaching you a move is going to be needed. You know a ghost move, so that's good enough. I have learned some things from sitting home on my butt watching television. And what I've learned is that Dusk, you can learn Icy Wind. We need you to try and use this move, because as of now, you can't fight against any normal Pokemon. Disable is the only thing that you could use, and that's not good enough. If you could use Icy Wind, that'd be much better. Now, lets see, how can I start this..." he said. It was time to think of a plan of attack. He needed to know how one would start Duskull off with this move. He then looked at the others, who were just sitting, looking, smiling and just playing with each other. Brolis had a look of determination and a bit of confusion on his face. He then realized, that if Duskull could contain a certain amount of cold air within him, he could possibly blast it towards something, making it colder with every blast, that is until he fully learns the move. But until then, it was going to take some time to learn. "Okay Dusk, lets try this. I need you to take in a deep breath and hold it. That way, you will have enough oxygen in you for this move. I need you to try and keep it compressed inside of you, and try and freeze the air within you. Somehow I need you to be able to make the air as cold as you can within you, so that when you blow the air out, it will cause some sort of chill in the air. Hopefully that can at least get you started with the move." Brolis finished up. Next up was Queen and King. These two seemed to work great together, especially upon learning moves and such, so keeping them together would be quite helpful. Even if they were going to be learning two different moves. He focused on Queen first. "Queen, its time you learned to use those nice teeth of yours. I know you can use them! Every Pokemon can. It's just a matter of learning how to use them in a right way. Now, I need you to really bite down hard on this." Brolis said, pulling off his jacket, wrapping it up into a nice little ball, and placing it onto the ground for her. It was the only thing he had at the time, and well, it needed a good washing anyways. "Bite as hard as you possibly can Queen. Learn to use it, gnaw at it, nibble, whatever, get it down until you understand the major concept of a bite attack." Then he turned to King. It was time King learned to use that awesome appendage he had upon his head, the horn. "Okay King, your up next. I need you to ram this wall over and over again, head first, using the horn. This will begin to teach you a new move called, Horn Attack. Repeating this step over and over will harden your horn so that you can pierce through your enemies with much force! Go ahead, try it!" he said, smiling, pointing to the nearest wall that they were next too. It was now the bunny's turn to learn a new move. It was about time, she needed something. Poor Puma knew nothing more than a mere pound attack for her offense. Being a bunny Pokemon was definitely a step up with this next move Brolis decided to teach. "Okay Puma, you're up! Now, you bounce a lot on your own, right? Well, I need you to power up that bounce attack and be able to bounce higher and higher each time you try it. Just keep going and going. Like the energizer bunny. Bounce up and down, learn to use the muscles in your feet and legs to allow yourself to go higher and higher. It's the only way to learn a successful bounce. And since this comes naturally, it shouldn't be all that difficult." he said smiling, jumping up and down a bit himself as to show the little bunny-like Pokemon what to do. He smiled, and reviewed all the other Pokemon's progress before moving on. Finally, he turned to Psyduck. Psyduck also needed another move. Though, he did have water gun down. But he also wanted Psyduck to learn some other move. He knew that Psyduck's had a special power within them that could come out with a big enough headache. That move, would be confusion. Plat just needed some help getting a bad headache. See, watching the Pokemon channel as a child really did help him learn the secrets of Pokemon. "Okay Plat, you're up next. While Dusk is learning that Icy Wind move, I need you to focus all your energy into your head. I know you can do this, it's part of you Plat. I need to give you a headache. That's all. I know you constantly always have a minor one, but now you need a bad one. So, lets try this. Focus your energy into your head, give yourself a headache. A really, really bad one. I'll help you out. When it becomes unbearable, it's said that you will begin using a special attack, Confusion. So, lets try it!" he said. Though, it would have been better to say that he needs to control the confusion, yet that wasn't enough yet. Brolis wanted him to just feel the power within him. He could then channel the confusion and control it later on. Brolis then began to smile. "Okay, here it comes." he said, taking a fist, and, with a hammer like motion, hitting Plat upon the top of the head, with as much force as he could. That probably wasn't the smartest way to give Plat a headache, but it was enough. Headaches came with trauma to the head, right? Right, so he just needed to give him a bad headache. Now, Sodom was not stated, that is because Sodom and Brolis weren't ever that close. The epic battle ended and they aren't all that great together, but Brolis figured that he was strong enough on his own anyways, and that he could have a little time out of his Pokeball so maybe he could learn to love the new team. "So Sodom, you want to help me watch over these little Pokemon? I do have a request for you. You're the toughest Pokemon I own, and I need you to do me a favor. I need you to be a dummy, yes, I know, but it's for the training of our friends. They need someone to practice on while they learn their moves. You're the only one strong enough to take the pain, plus, if you do, you will become stronger as well, more immune even to the attacks of these guys, you'll learn the moves, so that when we get into a predicament, you can help us out really well. What do you say? Will you help these guys practice?" Brolis asked, smiling. It was time to learn if Sodom really did want to help out. It would be amazing for the team to have such a strong Pokemon added to it, and Brolis was happy he had the opportunity to capture such an amazing Pokemon. Training was in session for Team Brolis, and it was time to get the ball rolling. They all needed to learn these new moves before moving onto more exotic things, and then Brolis would set out and quest for the capture of a new Pokemon, a ghost, flying, that he knew was as rare as finding a Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. That Pokemon would be, a Ravenant. Edited by Brolis, Sep 26 2009, 01:56 PM.

I'm going to be blunt and get straight to the point... Dusk stared at you with his single eye as you spoke, listening intently. Your description of Icy Wind was decent, but even with a detailed description of a move, it was going to be difficult for the ghost to learn a move so completely different to anything that he'd ever done before. Despite that being the case, the Duskull wasn't going to hesitate in giving it a shot. Just like you said, he took the deepest breath that he could possibly muster before closing his mouth tight and holding the air inside his body. After a short while, the ghost-type let out the breath in once long, slow, windy sort of motion. It was clear that Dusk had sorted out the windy part of the attack, but the icy part so far wasn't going so well. There wasn't a hint of chill to the air that Dusk released. He was clearly going to need more practice. Icy Wind - 20% Learned.Meanwhile, Queen had taken hold of your jacket in her jaw and was shaking her head from side to side. Bit was a fairly easy attack to teach, and even though Queen was a ways off learning it naturally, she seemed to almost have a handle on it already. I'd say that all she really needs is a bit more practice. On the downside, I think you're going to need a new jacket. Bite - 35% LearnedKing's tutoring was going pretty well too. He was running repeatedly towards the (very conveniently placed) wall, Horn Attack after Horn Attack until slowly you began to see small scratches and indentations appearing in the spot he was hitting. Obviously Horn attack wasn't particularly difficult, but simply running into the wall head first wasn't the best way of learning. King was growing tired very quickly, and there was no real form to the attack yet. Sure, it would hurt the opponent, but it would also leave King off-ballance, unable to recover and attack again as soon as he should. Your next step should probably be to teach him to be a little less reckless with his attack. Horn Attack - 25% Learned. (Energy: 60%)Now, like you'd said, Puma did bounce around a fair bit, but there's a big difference between the type of bouncing that she did and the type of bouncing that she needed to be able to do to execute a proper bounce attack. Still, Puma didn't want to let you down, so she tried jumping up and down like you'd suggested. Nothing much happened really, but she just kept bouncing. It didn't appear that she was actually getting any more altitude that when she would normally execute a particularly energetic jump, but surely all this repetitive bouncing would help condition her for what was yet to come. In any case, this was going to take a long time. Bounce - 5% Learned.Your chosen method of tutoring Confusion to Plat surprised me to say the least. I would never have even considered such a tactic, but then, I'd have never probably taught Confusion quite as quickly as it looked like you were going to. The constant blows to the head seemed to be doing the trick, and causing the confusion to build up inside the little duck's mind and everybody knew that it couldn't possibly be contained there. Eventually it seemed that the headache became too much for Plat to handle. It was almost scary. His eyes suddenly became very fierce and he glanced up in your direction. Before you could react, searing pain rushed to your head and you stumbled backwards. However, the Confusion attack only lasted a second, and try as he might, Plat was unable to replicate the effect on his own at the moment. Still... something had happened, right? Confusion - 33% Learned. (HP: 28/39)So, the tutoring was all going pretty well, considering the circumstances. There was only one thing to take care of now. You looked at your Zangoose, and he glared back. Then you made your spiel. I can't say that Sodom was over the moon about your idea, but he seemed like he was willing to give it a shot, though he won't be happy about it. Best case scenario, I think, is that he's act more as target practice than a tackling dummy. You're probably better off having your Pokémon train their accuracy against the speedy Zangoose, and that way you and him might not end up on such bad terms. |

Brolis was extremely excited about the current situation at hand. He was happy with the progress his Pokemon were having with each of their moves. He just had to keep going until this was over. He needed to keep pressing onward and not give up easily whatsoever. He just planned to stay there, at Jokai Pass, until he finished this, then he'd move onto the forest in hopes of becoming a great Pokemon master! Brolis started back over with Dusk, he seemed to have learned the basics of Icy Wind, not the ice, but at least wind. It was just time to get him to freeze the wind within him, but how? He can learn it, but how would Brolis explain to try and use Icy Wind, you have to freeze the air. He thought a while, and was not having much luck. He couldn't have Dusk keep going with this, without giving him some sort of explanation of what to do. "Great job there, Dusk! But lets see, how can I get you to concentrate on freezing this. You just need to try your hardest to freeze it within your body. Like, concentrate and pretend like you're in an ice storm, and your breathing in and out freezing cold air. Understand? Now, when you breathe that cold air in, I need you to freeze it more, with anything you got, and then blast it out." he said, hoping that if Dusk imagined himself in a cold place, it would help out, at least a little bit. Queen seemed to be having a blast, biting the jacket. So, Brolis decided it would be best just to praise her; after all, the harder she bit, the better the bite attack would be in the end. That was good. "Great job Queen, keep up the great work!" he said smiling, clapping mildly before moving onto the next Pokemon in the line. King was probably having one of the harder times with this than Brolis would have thought. Yes, he was learning it, but no, he needed more of a target that could work with accuracy, and he needed the exercise, definitely. This is where Sodom came in. "Okay Sodom, King. I need you two to work on King's accuracy a bit more. Keep up the good work with that horn attack. King, I need you to, instead of just ramming, to concentrate your energy on trying to hit Sodom with the horn, alright? And Sodom, I need you to do this for me please? Dodge everything, up your dodging skill, don't hurt the poor thing, but I do want you to try dodging, minimally now. Then, as he seems to get better, dodge everything you can." he said with a nod. The two Pokemon would then be left for that section of the training. Puma and Bounce, obviously not the best combination. But, it could be done. All bounce was, is a high powered jump, when the user lands on the opponent with a chance of paralysis. That was what needed to be learned. Puma seemed to be getting very mildly higher with each bounce, but not nearly enough to learn the move itself. How would he explain to her that she needed more power. "Okay, Puma. I need you to put as much power into your legs as you possibly can. Yes, this may cost you some energy, but it's what needs to be done. You don't just bounce, you need to throw yourself into the air as high as you possibly can. Those legs of yours need to be conditioned to jump to a higher altitude. Your little body is fine, you just need to strengthen your legs." he said smiling, clapping at what progress was made, but he did realize that this was going to take a bit longer than he had expected. She just needed to put more energy and effort into learning the move, instead of just bouncing up and down weakly. Finally, Plat; the last time that he encountered Plat, he began to obtain a headache of his own. This was due to the power actually working. "I know that hurt, Plat, but you have to keep concentrating on the pain, it's the only way I know to give you a strong enough headache to give you that inner power. Once you have more power within it, you can then learn to control it. Plat, just keep going, concentrate on the power within, the hurting of your head, and the anger you have with whomever hurts you. We need you to learn this psychic attack. Please Plat. Concentrate as hard as you possibly can. I'm not going to hurt you again, it was just to get you started." he said, trying to explain to Plat that the only way to possibly learn the move is by concentration alone. That concluded this installment of Brolis Adventure. Tune in next time for a hopeful progress in some cases... |

Okay! Move tutoring; that is always a good thing to do, as it adds more variety to a team of Pokémon and hands the Trainer an advantage over foes, for more than often, Pokémon with tutored moves are better at combat. Well, perhaps that’s just an opinion, but sometimes, you just want to get a move quicker … right? With that obligatory introduction over and done with, let’s actually get this show on the road – and see how your Pokémon are handling their move learning! Dusk closed his eyes, floating a few feet about the ground quietly. Freezing … he wasn’t too good at imagining that. Had he ever been frozen before? Perhaps yes, perhaps no, but he wasn’t going to let that fact deter him from imagining how it would feel! Putting in a good measure of imagination into how a cold, clammy feeling would be like, the Duskull inhaled. With his eyes focused on the area before him, he let out a blast of air – stronger than before, but still, without that trademark chill of Icy Wind. He inhaled once again, blowing out another gust of air, significantly cooler than before. Dusk turned back to you, sorry glinting within his eyes: however, I think that some altering to his method of blowing would be better. Perhaps you could consider concentrating the cool wind in a small stream before spreading it out like the true attack would? Queen smiled at you, tossing her head from side to side in apparent happiness. And then, she went back to shredding your jacket. Since she had the concept and grasp of biting and inflicting damage, you might want to start including the ‘dark’ side to the attack, thus, turning what Queen was doing right now in a fully-fledged Bite. Still, a job well done on getting your female Nidoran to her level of Bite right now! By the way, I reckon your jacket isn’t going to be holding up for too long; perhaps you might need to change a target if you don’t want Queen to have her Bite progress stranded halfway. Sodom reluctantly walked up to King, his eyes staring down at King. The male Nidoran glanced up at the significantly larger Zangoose, but didn’t seem to be too afraid of him. After all, he had beaten the cat ferret in a battle once, hadn’t he? There was nothing to be afraid of, then! King lowered his head; his eyes catching Queen’s progress with Bite. Eager not to lose out to his ally and companion, he charged forward, his large horn primed to strike the Zangoose. As soon as he got closer, Sodom defied your orders and brought his claws down upon the incoming horn to stop it. Glaring, the Zangoose sidestepped while letting his hand loose, causing King to reel back from the clash. Though – the reason why it was hurting mainly resulted from the Nidoran himself; he was still recklessly charging like a bull, though his accuracy was getting better. After his brief clash with King, the massive Pokémon turned to glare at you accusingly. Sodom’s mood, clearly, wasn’t the best right now. Puma nodded, and proceeded to work on Bounce. This time, she did a little extra to increase her chances of the move working – she used Focus on her legs to increase their strength, before she bent down, giving her limbs a more spring-like quality to them. Then, she gave it her all, jumping into the air. Sure, this wasn’t a true Bounce, but it was a tad higher than before. When she soared into the air, she was startled by her lack of breath, as well as the inability to control her movement. With a yelp, Puma came to a halt as she crashed into the ground, breathing heavily. She stared up at you, small specks of tears coming into her eyes. It must have hurt some … Plat focused on the pain, but found it increasingly uncomfortable. He tried turning away from the pain, but gradually found himself drawn back to it. How strange! He clutched at his head, waddling around before bumping into you. Comically, he started walking backwards, beating his own head like you did. Admittedly … this may not have been the best way to learn Confusion, but what’s started, has been started, so all you could do was let Plat pick up the move his own way, with your guidance. With a loud yell that drew the attention of even Sodom, a blue glow started to gather around the duck’s head. Squealing in pain, Plat fell back on the ground, but at the same time, you felt another jab of pain sear through your head. Um, good job, I guess? And this concludes the update of your team’s move learning. I’d say you’re doing a pretty good job handling all of them at the same time, even though your Zangoose looks like he’s going to blow a fuse somewhere down the line. {Dusk} – Icy Wind: 35% {Queen} – Bite: 50% {King} – Horn Attack: 42% ( 53%) {Puma} – Bounce: 15% {Plat} – Confusion: 48% ( 24/39)

Brolis kept his eye on every one of his Pokemon throughout this time. It was a hard time, but they had to do it. Puma just seemed to be getting hurt constantly, so Brolis was a little scared to let her keep going like she was. He pulled out her Pokeball and decided waiting for bounce, maybe while she was a little bit older, more experienced, that would be a better way to go. She needed more levels to be able to keep her strength in her legs growing, so that she could expertly learn bounce with ease, it was probably that her legs weren't even fully developed, so she was having a tougher time with it. He smiled and happily pointed the Pokeball at the bunny-like Pokemon. "Aww, I'm sorry Puma. You're just not ready for this yet. We'll practice again another day. Return!" he said smiling. The little red light blasted forth and captured his little Puma, bringing her back into her home, the Pokeball. It was Dusk's turn and he was still going trying to find his inner cold, if there even was that sort of thing. Granted, he did freeze the air once enough to make it colder than the rest, and Brolis ((with help of the very nice mod. xD)) decided to have the wind come out in a stream. It was time. "Okay, Dusk, you're somewhat getting the hang of it. You know how to blow out the wind, and that's the starting, but you're not really understanding how to make it colder. Lets see...okay, you need to close your mouth more, and focus the air into a stream of cold air, ice even. If you can focus on making the air cold, and letting it out in a stream, then you should be compressing the air even further, making it colder. Once you get the hang of that, you can go ahead and blast it wherever you want. Okay?" Brolis said, patting his little Pokemon's head, smiling. Now, Brolis was not about to give up with any of his others, and seeing how Sodom was just an angry tempered Pokemon, his fuse was short. He needed a good battle, all to himself. He probably hated being stuck in that Pokeball, so he decided, since the two work best together, he would team them up, hey, they beat him in the first place as a team, so obviously they could probably do it again. But it was going to be much more difficult this time around, because their attacks weren't fully learned, and King was rather reckless. Queen had the jacket, and Brolis told her to stop and that they were going to be going at an actual battle this time around. "Alright, so, Sodom, since you're rather angry, and probably just want a good battle, I know that's how you are, you always needed a battle to keep yourself sane. So, I'm going to give you guys one. A little practice anyway. Sodom, do whatever you'd like to these two. We can heal up afterwards. You two, practice more on Sodom now, being an actual Pokemon battle, should be nice. Sodom, I know you love the team, but I also know you have a LOT of bottled up energy that you should get out. So, the three of you are going to battle. King and Queen, versus Sodom. Just like the first time we met, right? Haha." he said smiling. Sodom smiled and felt that this was a much better way to go than him just being the crash dummy. Actually battling would give them all a way to get their energy out, as well as being able to learn their moves better. Brolis picked up his torn up jacket and said, "Well, it was bound to happen...FIGHT!" Then turning to Plat, for some reason, every time he did a move, it was focused towards Brolis, and that was not the best way to go. Plat kept hitting himself on the head, which was a good way to keep the headache up, but it needed to be focused on something else. Brolis knelt down and said, "Okay Plat, you need to focus on something other than me. Let your mind free of memory and focus on one thing, that isn't any of us, and then start going at it. Once you get the hang of confusion, you'll be able to do it by yourself, you're going to realize how to actually go about doing this, and you'll be able to pull it off, without giving yourself a headache. But focus on another thing, not me or any of the Pokemon. Maybe, think of a tree, or someone else. I don't care about others that much, so any random passerby, just be sure that they don't notice that you're staring at them, okay? Hah." Brolis smiled and then walked back over to his Pokemon. That should be a funny sight to see. Randomly turning around to find that Plat was giving another man or woman a headache. Who knew where that would lead the team. But Plat just needed another place to focus his energy. With that being said, this round is over, what will happen next to Team Brolis? Find out next time... |

Puma stared up at you, her eyes softened with her remorse and sadness. She then shifted her gaze to the ground, a tiny frown on her face in response to your smile. She was rather sad for not being able to perform up to expectations – was that the reason for the sudden timeout to her Pokéball? It certainly must be! The Buneary glanced up, nodding obediently. It seemed that she understood that she was too young for a move like this; it simply had to wait for another day. The beam of red light shot forth from the device, surrounding the bunny Pokémon before condensing her into a form small enough to fit into the capture ball. Another day, huh … On to Dusk! The Duskull seemed to be managing pretty well, making good progress with Icy Wind. Seeing as it was a tutor move instead of a level-based one, it naturally had a difficulty curve to mastering it, but you and your Pokémon were getting over that hump without many problems. Dusk listened intently to your orders, once again inhaling deeply to prepare for the attempt at Icy Wind. This time, he did not open his mouth to its full size, choosing to allot only half the size from before – which somehow managed to focus the chill on one concentrated spot. The wind came out in a small stream; due to the mechanics relating a gust of wind and a small hole, the wind was rushed and its velocity was high. Naturally, that cooled the wind somewhat more. If Dusk kept at it, I’m sure he’ll be able to do it naturally. He still needs to find the ‘chill’, though. Sodom smiled lightly, though his eyes retained the same, hot-tempered ferocity from before. He wasn’t going to relent and ‘soften up’ that easily, not when he was a true warrior! He still hadn’t gotten over the fact that he had lost, so naturally, the Zangoose was still a tad bitter over it. Now that you were pitting him against them, he could only take them down with what he had within him. King lowered his head, charging recklessly at Sodom. He really needed to work on where he was going. His push-off force was okay, giving him the sudden rush that marked Horn Attack as a rather deadly attack for any Pokémon with a horn, or horn-like appendages. The Zangoose stepped backwards with natural agility, parrying the blow. The strike with his claws sent King reeling backwards and into Queen. Eager to test out her Bite attack, the female Nidoran stepped up to the white-furred Pokémon, opened her maw, and tried to bite. Sodom, however, was still too quick for them, his massive claws shoving Queen backwards. You should be relieved, though, that Sodom wasn’t yet using any attacks – somehow, he was restraining himself from unleashing whatever hell he had stored within him. The male Nidoran exhaled, running forwards again. This time, instead of charging like a raging bull, he only lowered his horn when he neared Sodom, increasing his accuracy … at the cost of speed. Queen came in from the other side, sinking her fangs into your Zangoose’s legs. Sodom growled, his claws slashing downwards on both Nidoran. Perhaps fighting to learn a move was a bad idea, even though Sodom seemed to like the idea. Maybe you could even try getting Sodom to learn a move – you know, give him something else to concentrate on instead of massacring both King and Queen beyond recognition. Plat stared through you blankly. He had no idea what to focus on – nothing else was as interesting as your face! He blinked, the hands beating his head ceasing movement. At the moment, he couldn’t see anything of interest to him, but when his eyes settled on Sodom, King and Queen, he figured that he could do something to break up their fight. “Psy,” he muttered, staring at them, looking into them, willing his headache to cease … too bad nothing happened. He rubbed his head and waddled straight into your leg for the nth time today. Near you, Sodom’s hand suddenly flew to his head, his eyes pained. Brolis clapped as Dusk had been finishing up the latest version of Icy Wind. He was happy that he was understanding the concept more and more with each passing turn. Dusk smiled as well, for he was beginning to understand how things were working. He just needed to concentrate more on making the air colder within himself first. "Dusk, try really concentrating the air within you when you take the deep breath. Then you gotta just keep on going with the spurting of the air in little streams until you've got it! Now get to it!' Brolis said smiling, pointing to Dusk. He then felt a sharp pain in his brain while looking at Sodom, who seemed to have the same pain. Well, for some reason, Plat wasn't understanding that he needed his attention on one thing, and he needed to stop using the attack on any of his own Pokemon. "Plat! What did I tell you? Focus on someone else, not me, or Sodom, or anything. Just close your eyes and focus on something else completely. Concentrate, then blast the attack at something other than anyone on our team. You have to keep that in mind, otherwise you'll completely lose focus and attack whatever is in sight. Now, please, work at that." he said, trying not to become too terribly frustrated, but having sharp pains within his head randomly kind of blocked the emotion of "happy" out. Looking upon the battle at hand, the team was getting the hang of it. He realized that King needed to do something differently, and it would benefit himself. "King, you gotta watch your target completely, it's a tackle attack essentially, but you just gotta point your horn down right before you hit the target. So, chop chop! And Queen, nice work, keep it up! Sodom, keep the energy high, and...wait...lets try something new here! Sodom, I want you to try and learn Rollout! It will work nicely and it's perfect for you! All you need to do is begin running at one of the foes, then jump, curl up into a ball, and when you hit the ground, keep a high enough velocity that you keep rolling until you hit one of them, then be sure to control the roll so you can turn around instead of constantly going forward! Lets see if that works! Get some more of your energy out!' he said, smiling. It was time to see if Brolis was good enough to keep a few Pokemon under control while move tutoring them. With this being done, he could definitely be a great breeder and move tutor! |

((O.O... Enough move tutors at once???)) As a Confusion attack slightly lifted for your head, you gave orders to everyone in high hopes that they would get everything done shortly. Well, some of these tutors shouldn't take much longer but the other ones will take a lost more than what they should (AKA Rollout). Anyway, on with the tutors. Dusk You gave Dusk instructions on how he could make Icy Wind better and more perfect and he began to work on it right away. He took a deep breath and began to make the air inside him colder. After a few short minutes, he let out a cold breath that could have frozen anything that it touched. Luckily, it didn't hit any of your Pokemon and you could tell that Dusk was almost done learning this move. {Dusk} – Icy Wind: 78%Queen Queen's job was to learn Bite. This move shouldn't be that hard to finish as it was over half the way done already and all she really needed to do was practice it a bit. She walked over to a small batch of baby trees and began to practice on them. She focused a little and then she chopped down on one of the trees, splitting it in two. Looks like she's beginning to get some power behind that attack and should only need one or two more uses before she's completely mastered it. {Queen} – Bite: 76% ( 37/41 | 85%)King King's job was to finish learning Horn Attack. He walked with Queen to the small batch of small trees and got ready to use the attack. He made some distance for him and the target and began to charge. He was nearly inches away from the tree when he quickly lowered his head so that his horn hit the target. His horn when through the tree but the tree was still standing. All he needs to do now is get some power behind it and he should be good. {King} – Horn Attack: 71% ( 37/41 | 47%)Plat Plat actually listened to what you wanted to do and he closed his eyes. He began to concentrate on the energy inside of him and releasing it onto one target instead of everyone. After a few seconds of gather energy, he opened his eyes and let out the attack. It traveled a short distance but it didn't hit anyone on your team. In fact, he hit a rock. The rock moved a little bit and then shortly stopped. Plat is getting closer and closer, he just needs to try it out a few more times and he should be set. {Plat} – Confusion: 79% ( 22/39)Sodom Now it's time for the hard one. Zangeese don't learn Rollout naturally so it's going to be harder for him to learn it. He did what you said and got a running start. Shortly afterwards, he jumped into the air and turned into the best ball shape that he could make. He was rolling around at a decent speed but not fast enough to really do anything. He rolled into the same rock that Plat practiced on and sorta ramped off of it. He didn't really do anything but roll around the place. It was great practice to learn control but now he needs to learn how to get faster, how to learn control at faster speed, and how to make consecutive hits with it. {Sodom} – Rollout: 14% ( 50/53 | 95%)

Brolis smiled as he looked at the different Pokemon he was training. Dusk just needed more practice with what he had already learned, he was so close to learning the new move. "Keep up the good work Dusk! Just keep blowing the cold air, everything will be fine!" he said smiling. He then moved to the next Pokemon. Plat was next up this time. He had finally learned how to concentrate his confusion on one specific object, and it was time to practice, he had gotten it down, now he just needed the time to actually blast the same rock once more, move it even more than he had before. "Keep it up Plat! You're finally doing it! Yes!" Brolis said. He was probably most excited about Plat learning Confusion than anyone else learning anything. He wanted Plat to learn this move the most, and since he was so close, he was getting more and more excited. Then Brolis turned to the epic battle that was occurring between the other three Pokemon of his. He watched as Sodom had already begun to learn Rollout, and King and Queen were ever closer to fully learning horn attack and bite. It was getting exciting to watch, all three of them battling at their own speed. It was just time to watch and keep up the practice, but since Sodom was still quite new, Brolis decided to add some comments to see if Sodom could improve. "Sodom, just try to gain speed and accuracy with the rolling portion. Be careful of little rocks and crags in the ground. You really need to know the environment to be able to pull off a successful rollout. Just keep it up! You're doing great." he said, pointing out the little rocks and things on the ground where the three were battling. |

Dusk Dusk's tutoring seemed to be going very well! He was getting the hang of Icy Wind and seemed like he would have it down soon enough. He took in a deep breath again, careful to make sure it was cold within him before releasing it in a burst of icy air again moments later. For some time, you noticed the air ahead of his "mouth" have a tint of light blue in it, indicating the cold temperatures it had. It seemed like a successful attack, except for the fact that it didn't last for very long before the air went back to normal and Dusk felt light-headed. Yes, ghosts can feel light-headed too! Seems like what you need to work on now is just keeping the flow going. But look on the bright side, this tutoring is almost done! - Icy Wind learning curve 90%Plat Plat listened to your encouraging words and smiled happily before releasing a sigh of tiredness. He was obviously becoming exhausted from this training and wanted to rest but he wouldn't let up the trianing; not when he was so close! So, he closed his eyes yet again and pictured the same stone he'd moved before. He knew exactly where it was and focused his psychic energies to it. He soon opened his eyes and could feel the power surging between himself and the rock as it began to quake before his eyes. All of your pokemon stopped briefly to watch as the stone shook in place before it was suddenly lifted in the air and moved quite a ways away. Plat then fell on the ground, tired and closed his eyes in exhaustion. He seemed like he only needed a little more training with the attack, but the successive use had him exhausted! - Confusion learning curve 85%Sodom, King, and Queen Sodom, King, and Queen had all been left without much to work off of this round. Both King and Queen had gotten the handle on their moves and just needed to perfect them, while Sodom was barely getting used to the entire concept of move tutoring. Sodom listened to your words somewhat hesitantly, considering he'd never tried to teach himself a move before he didn't want to bother with it. However, you were his trainer --now-- and he had no choice but to listen to you. So again he stood regularly and began running, this time amping up the stakes of using the attack as he ran toward King and Queen. King was the first to notice Sodom's sudden burst of attack toward him, and felt threatened as he quickly focus on his own attack, darting toward him quickly with his head down. What he hadn't noticed however was that the sudden urge to attack had caused his horn to grow, in a sense, with energy as he appeared like a moving lance. Both pokemon seemed like they were on a collision course, while Queen just watched and carefully lunged into the air where she expected Sodom to try to dodge. Her mouth opened as wide as it could and her teeth began to glow a dark color as though they'd been coated in shadows. All three pokemon seemed ready for the attacks to commence. However, Sodom quickly leapt into the air --as Queen had predicted-- and was caught in her jaws while he formed into his ball. With the impulse, Queen was able to redirect his course and send him toward an open area where he could roll about. Little had either one expected for this little accidental maneouver to aid Sodom as he rolled on the ground effectively, like a wheel. Not only that, but Queen seemed to have actually dealt some pretty big damage to Sodom! That just left King, who was still darting forth with his horn bowed ready for impact. However, since Sodom had moved King was left without a target and collided with a tree. However, what would have been expected did not occur, as suddenly King felt his horn penetrate the tree's bark and cause it to tumble to the ground. It seemed like his attack had finally been completed... except for the fact that he knocked out in exhaustion soon afters its use. - Roll Out learning curve 30% 42/53 89% - Bite learning curve 95% 37/41 79% - Horn Attack learning curve 100% 37/41 28%

Brolis was so proud. Yes, he was finally doing it! A MAJOR Pokemon training! Just sitting here in the outskirts of the building in which he had lost horribly in the ToA. He was so close. Finally, one of the Pokemon had fully learned the move he was instructing for them. King, had finally learned to use horn attack, after all that toil and hardship. It was amazing to see what could be done with just some motivation and hard work. Brolis knew he could do this for a living, but it would take a long while before he was extremely good at it. He knew that practice made perfect. He just couldn't wait for all of his Pokemon to be done. He wasn't planning on training Sodom all the way, not right now. Maybe at a later time. But once the rest of his Pokemon had learned their move at 100%, than it was time to finally move on with his journey toward....somewhere new. He had heard of a new Pokemon in this region, called Ravenant. He wanted one. Hearing the stories of their evolved forms, it was a gimme. He needed to find one of those Pokemon. As soon as this was over, he would want to start looking for another Pokemon to be on his side. He could feel the training as it was coming to a close. Both Plat and King had fallen to the ground from exhaustion. It was probably pretty tiring trying to do all of this in one sitting. Brolis could definitely understand that. He knew Plat was so close to learning it. Maybe one more powerful move away. He could feel it. Plat had finally almost completely learned confusion, and it was so amazing to see it finally with that rock. Dusk had also almost learned Icy Wind. He could now freeze his opponents. "Keep it up guys! And Plat, you mustn't stop now. I know you're really tired, but you gotta keep on moving, keep on trying. You've finally got this down! Just keep practicing, please! And you have done great King. Return. You deserve a good rest. As for you Queen, you're still fighting. Just another few bites and you should be ready to return as well. Take it to Sodom, Queen! Bite him over and over! Sodom, keep practicing your Rollout! This is good for both of you! Dusk, you're doing awesome! Just keep trying. Show Plat that you have the determination to keep going, even if you are tired!" Brolis said, trying to give the little pep talk as fast as possible. He was ready to move on with his journey, but he wasn't ready to give up when everyone was as close as they were. |

Well, you know what they say: practice makes perfect. For Queen and Dusk, this much was clear. Having almost completely learned the attacks, it would only be a matter of time before these two fully mastered their respective skills. Let's get this underway, shall we? DUSK As had been said earlier, Dusk's tutoring was incredibly successful. Judging by the coldness of his last attack, it seemed that the biggest concern was consistency. The ghost seemed to have a difficult time with learning how to keep the wind cold throughout the whole of the attack. However, Dusk was quick on the uptake. Collecting himself with some heavy "breathing," the lightheaded ghost soon felt strong enough to continue. This time, before gathering the wind within himself, he instead focused on making his insides frigid. With a deep, deep breath, the air went in warm and definitely came out cold. With the briskness of a mountain storm, the Icy Wind swept forth, a deep blue in color. Similarly, chunks of ice and snow began to collect in the freezing wind - clearly, were it in an actual battle, that would have resulted in some painful welts! - Ice Wind Learning Curve: 100%! Congratulations!PLAT Unfortunately, your attempts to get a rise out of the exhausted Psyduck would prove unsuccessful. Fully exhausted after his incredible progress, Plat was in a bit of a bind. Despite your enthusing and encouraging words, Plat quickly drifted to sleep in a make-shift Rest. Laying his head on a particularly large rock, the Psyduck drifted into an unconscious realm. Though it deserved a rest, it would be detrimental to your hopes of getting the move finished. He'd probably continue sleeping for a while, after all. - Confusion Learning Curve: 85%. Sleeping for 3 posts.SODOM and QUEEN Again, just as with Dusk, it was only a matter of practice with the young Queen. Really, what could possibly be wrong with how she was doing it, when she's so close to being finished? With a couple of quick jaw strikes, Queen would master the moves. Rushing up to the practicing Sodom, the Nidoran nipped softly at the Zangoose's knees before fully striking, giving him a heavy bite on the leg. Ouch! That must have hurt! Pridefully, Sodom shrugged it off, but Queen seemed overjoyed at her development. Sodom was beginning to learn his move, but showed no real improvement over last time. His hurting leg was a detriment, but after rolling, he quickly accelerated. More practice and more instruction would be necessary, certainly, but it would work out if you kept it going. - Rollout Learning Curve: 45% 37/53 79% - Bite Learning Curve: 100%! Congratulations! 37/41 60%

Brolis was quite happy with everyone's progress. It was time to take a break. Brolis saw that his Pokemon were tired, and they had done some spectacular things today. Everyone learned (or started to learn) the move that Brolis had been teaching them. Now, King, Queen, and Sodom all needed to go to the Pokemon Center, and Brolis wanted to get some more Pokeballs for the journey ahead. Where was the nearest Pokemon Center and PokeMart? It couldn't be too far, right? He hoped that because he was still in Jokai Pass, that he would still be able to get to the center quickly. I mean, it was finally upon him that he needed to. All of his Pokemon were tuckered out, and a Nurse Joy could definitely help him. So, he recalled the rest of his Pokemon, except Plat, who he quietly walked over to, knelt down beside, and pet softly. "I am so proud of you Plat. We'll resume your training later. Just keep practicing though. We'll continue when you feel better and have had a good rest." he said smiling. He was quite happy to have gotten so much progress with these Pokemon. He knew that Sodom could have Rollout down at a later date, and that he had done a good job too. But having most of his Pokemon fully learn the attack, and Plat was sleeping, it rather discouraged Brolis from continuing until everyone had a break. He then recalled Plat and began to make his way to the nearest Pokemon Center first, then, after he healed up, he would definitely go to buy a few Pokeballs from the nearest shop ((roughly 3, if I have the money)). He would then just continue his Journey to become an amazing breeder and Pokemon Trainer. He had yet to actually ever breed anything, and that discouraged him, but he wasn't going to give up. He could do a mini breeding between King and Queen now that they were finally of age. He could have mini Nidoran males and females all over. He was excited to finally being able to do this. He could sell the eggs before they were hatched, that's what his father always did. He then decided that while at the Pokemon Center, he would put Puma into his PC. She didn't help all that much, and he didn't really want her to begin with, but she was a cute little asset, so he wouldn't get rid of her completely. Who knew? Maybe in the future, he would definitely be keeping her with him, but as of now, she was just a wasted space that could be filled by another Pokemon. |

The Greatest Thief of All
|
Alright, let's get this out of the way. So, deciding to take up your pack and leave, you realized you were in the barren Joukai Pass. Though it had been mere hours since the Tournament of Aegis, you quickly realized that there were no people and certainly no place for you to heal your Pokemon. That presented a very difficult dillema; in other words, you would have to decide on a city to go through. Immediately, you recognized that it was beginning to get late, and the day had dragged on for all too long. There were two ways to get out of Joukai Pass: The long, winding Route 1, to Nogou, or the short and sweet fields of Route 5, to Millenia. Route 1 was a bit too long - the second longest Route on Alternia Island, to be exact. Given the high frequency of trainers on the floral path, it would be too dangerous to try and traverse it through the night. So, that left the beautiful Route 5. It was a quick walk back to Millenia, so it seemed that would be your best choice. Quickly gathering your things and returning your Pokemon to their resting "containers," you set out across the rocky plains of Joukai to the south. Quickly, the rough terrain blended into grassy fields, and the lurking monolith that was Millenia Town seemed just around the corner. After a couple of hours, wham, bam, zoom - you arrived! The huge skyscrapers loomed overhead, still alight with the sound and sight of people working. It seemed that even as the sun went down, the city streets never died in Millenia Town. But you had other things on your mind - your Pokemon were hurt and exhausted, so the first place to go would be the Pokecenter. Though less busy, there were still a handful of trainers there awaiting their Pokemon to be healed. Smiling softly as you approached the counter, a Nurse spoke. "Hello! Welcome to our Pokemon Center." Nodding, you hand over your five pokeballs - leaving Puma with you to deposit later. Turning toward the machine, the Nurse gasped. "Oh my! Your Pokemon are very tired. I'm afraid that we'll have to keep them here overnight. You can stay at our lodgings upstairs and wait for them in the morning." It seemed you'd be sleeping here for the night. Nodding wearily, you go to the computer in the corner of the Center. With a few jabs at the keyboard, you place Puma's pokeball on the reception machine and away she went! To be brought out a later time, Puma was gone to your inbox. What would you do now while you wait? |

Well, what a day today was. So long, so many things to reflect upon. After watching Puma's Pokeball dissipate into the computer, he yawned. He smiled at the Nurse and said, "G'night." He then headed up the stairs towards the room he was assigned to. He walked in, seeing the bed gave him a feeling of overwhelming joy. He was so tired from the days events that he just wanted to sleep and sleep sounded amazing. He placed his belongings on the chair next to the bed and he plopped himself down onto his bed. He instantly fell asleep and he was out for the night. It didn't take long before he found himself awaking the next day. His dreams were full of recollections of his previous day. Of course, they were distorted and weird to him, but aren't most dreams just a reflection of the days events in a distorted way? Well, he only remembered portions of these dreams and it wasn't too important to him in the first place. He changed into his daily attire and packed up the few things he had. It was early, around nine o'clock, when he found himself finally walking down the stairs to where his Pokemon were being held. He smiled at the Nurse and she went back, bringing out his five Pokeballs with the Pokemon within him. He nodded in appreciation and began to walk out of the door. He let out his Psyduck and both King and Queen from their confinement. He hated confining his Pokemon. Then he told them that they were all going to be heading to the PokeMart to buy some Pokeballs for the future. He never knew when he'd need some Pokeballs for capturing the little suckers. When they came close to the PokeMart, he smiled and then opened the door for all of them to walk in. He went up to the counter and asked the clerk for 3 Pokeballs. He then placed the money needed on the table, and waited. Well, that was a nice start to Brolis' day. He awoke with an unexplainable confidence that today would somehow be a good one...or a complete and utter disaster, but either way, Brolis didn't know what the days events would lead. So, it was a start. What would happen next? |
