When the stars stop shining, dreams will shatter before your eyes. Know that you're not alone!
(OOC- What is this entrance? Like…a PLAY?!?!?! SHAD….WRITE YOUR PLAYYYYY ><)

The man shook his head. “Alright, suppose that’s fair then. I mean, you have all these Pokémon, you must be quite talented.” he replied, and then pointed at Kain. “That one will do quite nice, don’t you agree honey?” The woman nodded. “Quite alright, indeed.” hmmmm. Something WAS up with these two, but it was hard to tell what. It wasn’t like they were betting and hustling, they were just offered you cash to battle. What could possibly be wrong with that?

The gentleman took out a pokeball. “Shall we use Jim and Jane?” he asked his wife as he hit the button on the ball. The wife nodded, as she reached for her purse. “Yes, let’s give them a spin, darling!” She took her pokeball, and the couple released both of their Pokémon at once. Two rather large Pokémon were silhouetted in the crimson light: A Pokémon with nine long golden tails coupled with a large fiery dog shook their fur, ready to battle.

:arcanine Jim Level 8 :male
:ninetales Jane Level 8 :female

Woah, this couple was no joke, they really went all out. Evolutions at this early of a stage? They must know more then they portrayed. Jane barked happily, her sleek blonde shined brightly, almost enough to blind someone. It was obvious that the Pokémon were also very well groomed and happy. The woman laughed hardily. “You see, we don’t get a lot of people willing to fight, that’s why we want to hire you to battle us. Our Pokémon are no joke, you can use as many Pokémon as you need, just give us our money’s worth!”
The man nodded, he seemed very serious. “Yes, we just want a good show, old boy!”

How interesting. Maybe there wasn’t anything bad about these people. They sure had a lot of cash to blow; maybe they had a few TMs in there too. You would be surprised at the things money could buy. You should be careful, but I don’t see the harm in a battle, win or lose, it’s more money in your pocket: And like these “trainers” portrayed, money can buy anyone just about anything.

Maji smirked, not only had he been right and these two had somethin' up there sleeves but they'd chosen the fastest of his pokemon for battle. "Alright then," He recalled all his other pokemon, excluding Mitchi, "but I'm pretty sure we'll be able to finish this battle with just Kaine and" he stuttered for the name of the Psyduck, "Plat."

With that, Maji took a few steps back to give room for the battlefield. "Hey, Brolis, I just battled the pre-evolved forms of their pokemon earlier today, Kaine here was a great help in that battle. Anyways, since they are both on my list for capture later on, we can assume that Ninetales knows at bare minimum: Nasty Plot, and attack and increases he special attack strength, Ember, an attack involving the release of fire from the core of her body, Quick Attack, an attack that is quick, Confuse Ray, a very difficult move to dodge that inflicts confusion, and Safeguard, an attack that prevents it from taking damage. We can also be sure that it has the Flashfire ability, which means it's fire-type attacks will have 1.5x damage inflicting potential if she is stricken with a fire-type attack, same ability for Arcanine."

Oh yeah, Maji had done his research on these two pokemon, a good Move Tutor and Coordinator needed to know all that he could about a pokemon's skill. And since these two pokemon were some that Maji aimed to obtain later along the line, there just happened to be a little bit of an upper hand for them. "Arcanine is mainly known as the Legendary Pokemon due to its incredibly speed and beauty, watch out for that. However, it is limited to close-ranged attacks such as Thunder Fang, Bite, and Fire Fang. It's other two attacks, Roar and Odor Sleuth are mainly used in order to cause a foe to stop moving for a moment and better get a lock on to the foes scent respectively. However, knowing that they have pokemon of this callibur we can assume that they also know some TMs, which puts a completely different spin on this entire battle." And so the analysis and it was time to come up with a plan.

"Kaine, you are naturally speedy due to your Squirrel type nature. Lucky for us, that's just what we'll need in this battle seeing as both of our enemies are very skilled in quick attack movements. See, with your limited close-range moveset we don't have many attacks that'll do enough damage to end this quickly on our own and if I'm not mistaken, by the looks of Brolis' Psyduck we'll only be able to weaken the fire-type attacks that these two pokemon use slightly. So, what I want you to do is listen to my every word because we're going to teach you a nice little attack that you've actually already gotten the hang of; we just need to focus it." Maji explained, and Kaine looked at his trainer excitedly, the electricity building up in his body and spraking off his cheeks from excitemeny.

"Alright, remember earlier when you got all excited and released that electricity? I need you to use quickly gather up that electricity throughout your fur in order to create a sort of thin shield around yourself, not enough to hurt yourself, but just enough so that you can inflict some damage. See, by doing so and then using Quick Attack you'll be able to gather up even more electricity as you charge towards your target, and once you make contact that electricity will release itself all at once on the target. The attack is called 'Spark' you actually learn it naturally, within a few levels actually." He explained, and Kaine's eyes lit up with excitement. "I'll let you choose your target, though I do want you to try and keep them awar away from one another as possible. Personally, I think you taking on Arcanine is our best chance at winning, seeing as you are naturally faster than Psyduck, and Plat can use, if I'm not mistaken, Water Sport to weaken Ninetales' fire-type attacks. Anywho, it's your choice. Once you are done with training Spark, I want you to latch on to Arcanine's back if possible, grab on tight, and just wait for my commands." He ordered and Kaine nodded, ready to go.

Kaine prepared for battle them, ready to train his new attack. Quickly he got on all four paws and prepared for battle; imagining each of his trainer's commands in his mind in order to hopefully perform them properly. In his little mind, the sparks were flyin' (No pun intended). First, he'd have to gather up his pent up electricity. Within his mind he imagined himself, around him the world spun and electricity stormed around his body, slowly drawing itself unto his fluffiness and causing him to take on a light blue temporary sheen. With that done, he quickly zoomed within his mind back and forth, and the electricity continued to build in his mind, sparks shooting every which way as he dashed to and fro, collecting more and more as he moved, but not enough to harm himself. "Pachi..." his voice came fiercely and proudly from outside his mind as his eyes opened wide, the electricity surging through them like, well, lightning bolts. "PACHI!" He charged forward, ready to use the attack to the best of his current abilities.

Maji looked on, waiting for the effects of his commands. "Brolis, remember, Ninetales fights mostly long-range which is more suitable for your Psyduck. Also, just some helpful advice since Psyduck doesn't look strong enough to know any strong offensive water-type moves, if you have it focus Water Sport in a manner that makes it shoot out longer and more powerfully, you could get him well on his way to learning Water Gun." Maji advized his partner, now to see how this first round ended up.

Brolis was very excited for the beginning of this battle. What was going to happen? He watched as the man and woman both tapped the button on their Pokeballs which extended them, making them bigger, and able to be opened. The two threw them out, which was a complete and utter surprise for Brolis. He was caught completely off guard. Apparently, Maji was right. The two may have been new, but they sure did hype up their Pokemon for the battle. It was quite a blow to the head when he realized the two Pokemon he was up against. Arcanine? Ninetales? Holy cow! What a battle this would end up being.

When Maji started out, Brolis realized how smart he really was. Maji was extremely adept to knowledge. Apparently he knew each of their attacks and their abilities. Brolis certainly wasn't thinking of all of that, but it was great information to know. He was surprised by Maji's knowledge and thought of how he could sound smart as well, yet, failed miserably with anything he could say. The best thing he could say would be, "The two can produce an egg! YAY!" and that would be the end of him trying to sound 'smart'.

He had Plat ready for the battle. Plat was a water type, yet knew no water attacks or moves at all. Well, Maji decided that he would try to make his Pokemon learn a new move, by teaching it a weakened version, at least until he got used to it. Brolis decided to do the same. He sent a mild glare at Maji for the comments on what his 'feelings' were on his Psyduck, but then decided to go ahead and tell Psyduck the main plan. "Ehem...alright Plat. I have a plan for us too. First, use a Water Sport and weaken the Ninetales fire attacks. She probably has a lot, so, that's the first step. Second, remember how you gathered a little bit of water into your mouth, and shot it at the cops Growlithe earlier to distract the cop, well, lets try something with that. I want you to quickly gather up inside of your mouth, as much water as you can, and squirt it at Ninetales with as much force as you can. Get a good accuracy too, if you need to, take a few steps closer. Blast it Plat, blast it. You need to do as much damage with as much water as you possibly can. Go for it! Lets do this, Water Gun!" he said smiling, pointing straight at the Ninetales.

Brolis then backed away a bit and let the Pokemon have room. Hopefully this two on two battle would go well. With Plat trying to learn water gun, and Maji's Kaine trying to learn spark, hopefully if they decided to wet the opponents down, the spark would do better damage. With that realization, he decided to allow Maji on more of his 'smarts'. "Hey, if Plat can wet down their side of the field, along with them, then if your little Kaine can do anything electric, it would hurt them even further. So, maybe next turn we can get the field completely wet on their half. I wouldn't want that water coming to Plat because if it worked, electricity is conducted by water, and Plat is full of it, so I believe we should just work on that next turn." he said, smiling. He felt smart with his knowledge of water conducting electricity. With that, Brolis and Maji's first turn had ended.

The couple looked at both of your Pokémon and laughed, they were probably holding it all in the whole time. The man snickered. “Ah…this should be a quick one, eh darling?” “Yes, that little chipmunk and the fat thing won’t stand a chance.” she replied, laughing again. Hm. As soon as the battle starts, they took off their friendly façade, showing their true opinions about both of you. The woman pointed at Kaine. She grinned evilly as she began to give her orders. “Now my darling Jane, torch that little weasel! Use Ember, then follow up with a Flamethrower!” The man chuckled, and then gave Jim his orders. “Alright Jim, it’s time to show these juveniles what you’re made of! Overwhelm the ugly duckling with Aerial Ace, and then follow up with Will-o-Wisp!”

Of course, they were both already using moves taught with TMs, only they knew what else they had in their arsenal, which could be a problem. Kaine continued to build up with his own electrical power, the lightning bolts started connecting together to form a light blue layer shield around him. He got excited with the power and began running towards Arcanine. The closer the little squirrel got, the more power he generated and the thicker the shield became. Kaine winced, it seems that he got a little too exited and the power started to became too much, it was hurting him. “Pachi….” He whined, closing his eyes. “Paaa…..” He whined again. The pain was becoming greater as time pasted; and he wasn’t doing well controlling his electricity while he was so hyped up. After awhile, the pain was finally enough to get him to calm down enough to stop generating electricity, and he opened his eyes again. But there was a problem. Jim wasn’t there, and instead there was a burst of flame coming towards little Kaine. “Pachirisu!” he cried as he jumped over the flame, tackling right into Jane, who was a lot closer then expected. Jane cried in pain, and blue sparks rippled over her fur. Kaine took this moment to get around her, and clung onto one of her tails. Ninetales barked, and started to wag them around, trying to get the rodent off, but wasn’t having any luck.

Meanwhile, Plat was gathered water in his mouth, and did water sprout over towards Ninetales, who was too busy with tiny Kaine to care. Psyduck applauded himself, until he noticed Arcanine charging towards him. “PSY-IE?” He shrieked, quickly gathering as much water as his cheeks could hold. Arcanine was now on his side of the field already, and Plat was sweating bullets. The quick dog started running around him, and Psyduck’s cheeks finally filled completely with water. But Arcanine had already made a small vortex just long enough to make the small duck lose his target. A moment later, Jim struck unexpectedly, making Plat do more of a double take then a water gun directly in front of him, which hardly went anywhere, missing its target miserably. Hm. Maybe you should try a constant stream of water next time instead of just spitting a bunch of water. Arcanine was behind Psyduck at this point, and barked mockingly. Right after, he then conjured the Will-o-Wisps, and shot them right into the duck’s behind, burning it.

“Hey, get that thing off my baby’s beautiful tale, you pest!” The woman screamed at Maji, stomping on the ground. The man laughed. “Don’t worry honey; it’ll all work out in the end.” She pouted as she watched Ninetales’ futile effort to get Kaine off. The man patted her on the back. “It’s okay. We’ll win. Don’t worry about it.”

The battle seemed to be separated into two 1v1s instead of a 2v2, which can be either really good, or really bad, depending on your choices. Something else you should have noticed, those high powered TM moves took a lot of energy from Arcanine. Maybe you should wear him out.

Maji looked on at the battlefield and cursed his name. "I knew they had something up there sleeve, not just with the pokemon but they have powerful TMs in their arsenal." He said to himself, but then smiled to see that Kaine had followed orders to the letter, except for the whole mixed-partners thing. Oh well, it was a good attempt and it would help them in the long-run anywho. "Pichi!" Mitchi called excitedly as he watched the battle unfold. Maji smiled at his little pal, combing his fur with his hand. "That attack I'm teaching Kaine, it's a really strong attack but there's an even stronger version of it. Would you like to learn it some day?" He asked the newborn, who then looked at Maji in confusion for a moment while Maji sent off commands to Kaine.

"Kaine, great job in the last round. Just keep on holding on to Ninetales' tail. What I want you to do this turn is..." Maji was interrupted by Mitchi leaping out of his arms and landing on the ground. For a moment, Maji thought the little mouse had hurt himself, but when he watched electricity build up around Mitchi his eyes widened. "Th-thats..." Maji stuttered as the electrical energy continued to form around Mitchi's body, allowing him to take on the appearance of a torpedo as he charged up the attack. "Pichu!" Mitchi shouted out immediately as he lunged forward, a spiralling torpedo of energy quick as a missile headed towards Ninetales' even faster than the speed at which Kaine had been moving just moments before.

"VOLT TACKLE?!" Maji both commanded and questioned as he watched the incredibly powerful attack unfold before him. Not only had Maji been completely amazed by the attack, but Kaine too had been watching the little rodent pokemon collect the electricity in his fur, more effectively than he did by the way. "Kaine! Let go of Ninetales!" Maji demanded, knowing that the attack coming from Mitchi could potentially damage Kaine as well due to the chaotic nature of the attack, especially coming from a newborn.

Kaine quickly released the Ninetales, jumping away enough to allow some distance between him and the enemy. "Pachi?" Kaine said to himself, not more determined than ever to use Spark. Just as he'd seen Pichu due with the more advanced version of the technique, Kaine got on all fours and began focusing on the electricity, sure not to overpower himself as he'd done and keep calm.

"Kaine," Maji's voice echoed within the little Pachirisu's mind while the actual human spoke in reality. "You saw what Mitchi did, and while it's hard to believe, that attack is called Volt Tackle, it's a more advanced version of Spark that causes about twice as much damage." He explained, and couldn't even believe himself as he said it. "I want you to imagine yourself doing exactly what Mitchi did, but to a smaller scale. This will allow you to better control your electrical power, rather than leave it a chaotic projectile. With that being said, it's your move, I believe in you!" He exclaimed, and Kaine suddenly opened his eyes to see the reality of what he needed to do.

With eyes wide open Kaine memorized each of Mitchi's actions after reaching the ground. His body began to release electricity at an alarming rate, however he held back and used his fur to make that electricity revolve around himself, create a shield of sorts to keep control. He looked at the water nearby, seeing the sparks coming off of his body, beautiful and bright. "Pachi..." He called his name yet again and could feel the electricity bundling around him as he darted forward, the electric shield he'd formed spiralling around him at a faster right, channeling the electricity through his fur evenly and releasing any excess through his cheeks when he felt like there was too much energy for him to handle all at once.

Maji smiled and looked oved to his partner, "Plat is in pretty bad shape already. Maybe have him use focus to amplify his special attack first, and then try another Water-Gun attempt. That should -in theory- give him better control over any elemental attacks he tries; including teaching Water Gun." Maji suggested, it wasn't a very practical way of using Focus, but it'd be useful if he was correct. And hell, it couldn't hurt, right? "Oh, and about the water electricity thing, we'd need to get one of them wet before we can do that, and as it is right now the water is too far away from Ninetales to really use it for anything."

"Dang." was the only words heard from the mouth of Brolis. He was quite upset about the fact that Plat was in such bad shape at the time. Luckily, he had a friend who knew about the different ways he could fortify the attack. The suggestions couldn't hurt, right? He knew that he wasn't one to give strong attacks in a combination. So, he decided that having a friend who knew much more about combos and attacking Pokemon, give him advice, though he was getting rather tired of the constant nagging of "hey, do this...hey, do that..." and whatnot. But, for this battle, he could deal. He needed Plat to survive and gain this experience from the battle. That was a lot of health lost in the last attack, and Brolis really had nothing he could give to Plat to help him recover from either the burn or the bruises.

Brolis glared at the Arcanine. "Taking him down would have been the better choice I'd think. So, that's it. Plat!" he called, "We have another plan. Focus all your energy into gathering that water. I want you to focus and think about the steps needed to take in order to successfully blast as powerful a water gun as you can. All of your energy must go to be concentrated on this water gun, you'll gain more control over it, and be able to blast it much harder, plus learn it faster. So, please, lets go with that. Focus and then blast a water gun right at Arcanine. Gather the water, then squirt it through a stream out of your mouth, not just bubbling it all up and out. Alright?" he said smirking. He then looked at his partner. "Better?" he asked.

This battle was not going the way Brolis had expected it to. He was rather disappointed that Plat had taken so much damage the last turn. Although, as Brolis thought, maybe it was just because he didn't explain his attack right or something. With that, Brolis waited and watched as Plat began to close his eyes for a few moments and focus on the future water gun planned for the attack. Brolis smiled and said, "You're doing a good job Plat." and then allowed him to continue the focusing.

“PI PI PI PI PI PI PI!!!!” Mitchi cried flying directly at Jane. “JANE, QUICK! FIRE BLAST THAT RODENT!!! NOW!” The woman cried right when she saw the Pichi flying with his awesome power. All actions stopped at that moment, and all eyes were on Mitchi and Jane, waiting for results. Even though orders were given, nobody dared move. Ninetales dug her nails into the ground, and tilted her head back, her golden fur ruffled with the power being drawn from within. Volt Tackle Mitchi was already halfway to Ninetales, still screaming with power. Plat had heard Brolis’ orders, but neither him nor the Arcanine had moved a muscle, this was too much to miss. Awe and anticipation was in the air was too great for them to dare try anything. Ninetales mouth shined, signaling that she was almost done gathering power for her blast, but Mitchi was closing the space quickly.

Snapping out of the glare, Plat concentrated on gathering the water into a constant stream, though he didn't want to take a cheap shot at Arcanine, he still used his time wisely to practice. He gathered the water within him, and started gargling out; he was getting the flow, but not the power. He just needed to try hard to intensify it into a blast of water. Kaine watched his pichu friend carefully, getting the electricity around his body just right. His eyes didn’t move from the spirl of energy, but he was learning to control the energy perfectly. With the perfect blue shield around him, he shrieked as the move was starting to fall into place. Both the Pokémon waited in anticipation.

The trainer couples stared at the two Pokémon, it would be a photo finish. Whoever hit with their attack first, the other would surely faint. The pressure was too great for the woman to handle, she quickly shielded her eyes, and she couldn’t watch the possibility of her baby being hit by that bone crushing move. The man would have comforted her, but his eyes were glued to the spiraling Mitchi, and didn’t even notice. Even Kaine stopped working on spark. He had to stop and watch, this was a once in a lifetime moment. Fortunately he was safely out of reach of the danger, but he seemed to have want move pointers from Pichu. He would try after this, but it was too distracting for little Kaine to even consider to continue his teaching process.

After what seemed to be forever, Ninetales finally pulled her head forward, but she hesitated, only for a moment. Mitchi was literally two feet in front of her, but would she release it? Mitchi continued his path, right into Ninetales mouth. Right that second, everyone had closed their eyes, the pressure was too much to handle. BOOOOOOOOOOOM. A huge explosion went off, and when everyone looked back, all they could see was smoke. What had happened? Did Ninetales release the Fire blast in time and roast the rodent before the attack could hit? Or had she hesitated too long and got a jawful of Volt tackle? When the smoke finally cleared, it was like if they had watched a car accident. Jaws dropped, they saw both Mitchi and Jane on the ground thirty feet apart, covered in soot. The explosion was the collision of Fire Blast and Volt tackle right next to Ninetails, causing a big enough explosion to knock both of the Pokémon acrossed the field and out cold. Nobody said a word.

Maji was in shock to see the outcome of the two powerful attacks colliding. That bitch of a woman across from him had actually sicked a Fire Blast on Mitchi, who shouldn't have even gone into the battle! Oh, she would pay, yes, she would definitely pay, and he wasn't talkin' about money.

Maji ran over to Mitchi and cradled the tiny mouse pokemon in his arms, and quickly looked up to the woman who's Ninetales had also been defeated. It served the bitch right, attacking a poor innocent baby who had no idea what he was really getting himself in to. "Bitch," Maji muttered underneath his breath, it seemed to be the only word that came to him as he looked at that, well, bitch of a woman.

"Kaine, back to work on Spark. Since Ninetales is knocked out, use it on Arcanine and get this battle over with." Maji commanded, his voice cold and angry as he couldn't be bothered to give much more direction than he had before. Kaine nodded and with the energy already in place took the lunge forward with as much power as he could in order to deal a mighty blow of electrical energy to Arcanine. Oh, they would pay for hurting his technical-sibling. Yes, they. Would. Pay.

With that Maji looked on angered, there was NO way he was going to let this battle waver in their favor. He would get his revenge, this couple would definitely pay, he'd make sure of THAT.

Brolis watched as Psyduck failed to complete the water gun attack which he had tried to explain fully. He looked on in amazement when the tiny little Pichu ran forth with great speed right for the great fire blast attack which Ninetales had created. Psyduck had tried to gurgle out a water gun, which failed. Yet, it was expected, since he was gazing upon the incident before him. "Wow, that was amazing..." Brolis said more to himself, yet intended for Maji whose Pichu had enough courage to blast forth and take out the fire blast.

Brolis then began a new strategy, still using the water gun technique, now that the huge explosion was over, and they only had Arcanine to worry about, it was time to take out the huge dog-like Pokemon and move on with their lives, finally getting to Kijutsu was their next goal.

"Alright Plat, time to do this water gun! Try it once more. Squirt it through a stream in your mouth, really focus all your energy into doing this attack. We just lost Pichu and now we have no worries except for destroying this Arcanine. Lets do this!" he said smirking. He hoped, now that Plat had learned more of his water gun move, he would be able to get that stream across like Brolis had wanted him too. "Remember Plat, focus first, then stream it out with as much force as you can, STREAM it!" Brolis instructed. He hoped Plat was ready for this. "Also, try and dodge anything that this Arcanine blasts at you, you can't afford to take any more damage." he continued. He was being truthful however, Plat couldn't take much more damage before completely falling to the ground unconscious.

Let me get caught up real quick. Michi and the old lady’s Ninetales just knocked each other out. Brolis is trying to teach his Psyduck Water Gun. Both of those things were rather decent except for the Michi part. But how is a level 1 Pokemon supposed to survive a Fire Blast attack? Anyway, we should get on with this battle before everyone else gets knocked out.

Maji swore at the old lady and then gave his orders to Pachirisu. Spark should be finished by this round if everything went right and Water Gun should be near half way there. That is, if everything goes in your favor. What was going to happen next would somewhat surprise you.

“Watch your language young man! Just because I’m old doesn’t mean I can’t read lips.” The lady said to Maji.

Somehow she was able to read what you said and she was now mad at you and was giving the same angry look that you were giving her.

“Arcanine, I want you to use Dig and then come out from under the Psyduck and then use Overheat.” The old man said to his Pokemon.

That would be a devastating combo and it would be sure to do a lot of damage to Psyduck. Anyway, everyone finally began to go through with what they were doing. Pachirisu was able to gather the rest of the electrical energy from the Volt Tackle and made it his own. Giving him the ability to use Spark and hopefully before Arcanine went underground. But, being the person that I am, Arcanine went underground before Pachirisu got to him. Pachirisu followed Arcanine under the earth and used Spark on him. A small flash of electrical energy could be seen going out of the hole and something must have happened to were neither of them would come out from underneath the earth. This meant that Psyduck was safe for this round, but wouldn’t have anything to practice Water Gun again. None the less, he focused on gather the water energy that was inside of him and gathered it to his mouth. He let it out on the ground in front of him and it was more powerful then the last time but still not at the power that it should be. The ground was now wet and if you could get this whole battle area wet, then Arcanine would have problems getting out from where he was. Keep working and it should be done soon.

As for the Pokemon underneath the ground, nothing could be seen as to what was happening to either of them. Looks like Maji should give some more orders before something bad happens to another one of his Pokemon. Good luck, you two are going to need it right now.

Psyduck and Brolis were both thoroughly confused by the attempted dig/overheat combo. That was an awesome combo coming from a level 8. Those two trainers on the other side sure had a lot of power behind their Pokemon. Brolis than had a moment where the light bulb in his brain suddenly turned on. DING! "AHA! I have an idea Plat. Now that Arcanine is a little busy, focus again, this time, squirt the water gun attack up into the air and wet the entire playing field. Do that again and again if possible!" he commanded.

He watched and waited to see what was going to happen. Plat, before the orders were given, walked over to the hole and looked down inside of it, looking confused. He then walked back over and just shrugged. He was as confused as everyone else probably was. He then heard the orders given to him by his master and nodded, turning around. He then called the attack and began to focus.

Meanwhile, electric currents were blasting out of the hole in the ground. Did the spark attack that Maji commanded actually hit? What happened under there? Obviously something had, the orders that the old man had told the Arcanine to do were thwarted, or at least put on hold for the time being. Brolis hoped that he had a few attacks left. He didn't really want Maji's Pokemon hurt, but as it were, better Maji's Pokemon than his own, right? As long as Plat lived through this battle, he'd be fine. He just wished for a good battle, hoping that this would become the end. Maybe the Spark was enough to knock out the powerful Arcanine. Who knew? Time could only tell...

Maji looked down into the hole and wondered if Kaine was all right. "Kaine! Can you hear me?" Maji called down from afar as he looked down into the hole. With a loud gulp he turned to Brolis, it was highly likely that Kaine received from damage while under there, so Maji had to think fast before he could be dealt any more. That's when he heard Brolis' commands to Plat, he wanted to wet the entire field? This would probably not be very helpful to himself and Kaine, water on dirt typically made mud, which made Electric Type attacks weaker. Well, he'd have to hope that there was time for him to get in a powerful attack before that mud got to Kaine and Arcanine.

"Kaine! Use Spark down in the hole! Arcanine doesn't have very much chance of escaping down there. When you are done with Spark, quickly exit the hole and come back up to where we are!" His commands weren't complex, but they were some that Kaine would have to follow properly if he wanted to get out of this with the least amount of damage possible. And so, Maji gulped down again and looked over to Brolis, hoping that his tactics would save them this time around.

Maji looked up at the trainers before him and his teeth clenched angrily. They'd not only lured him and Brolis into a battle and harmed Mitchi, but they decided to take the battle underground where he couldn't even see what was going on. Well, he couldn't blame it solely on them, but that was beside the point. Now, he just waited to see how the round would turn out.

Brolis watched the battle as it raged...though, it went underground. He had given orders to Plat, but since the two Pokemon were not coming back up, well, there was the plan. He smirked. He was going to force Plat to learn this move as much as possible. The two being down below was a perfect set up for the new plan.

Brolis leaned towards Plat, winking. "Alright buddy, lets do this thing. Now, scratch the last plan, because I have a new one. They are going to be underground, hopefully for a little bit. So, lets do this. I want you to use your Water Sport attack first, but through that, I want you to give the water gun a practice because I want you to try and spout it through your mouth in a squirting formation. Then, I want you to focus all your energy into the next part of the plan. Now, I want you to gather as much water in your mouth, using the water sport ability, but force it through the hole like a spout, with as much focused force as you can muster. You gotta put this into practice!" Brolis instructed.

It was time to see if this new plan would work any better than the old would. Of course, this time it was more planned out, the last was just a few little spurts of words popping from the mouth of this young kid. He was ready for this battle to take off. If the attack worked, the field would be quite muddy, due to the nature of water and dirt mixing. Meaning, it would be harder for the Arcanine to maneuver through the field and making it difficult for anything other than fire attacks, which are heavily weakened by the constant Water Sport attack and the excess water on the field as of now. Now, Brolis was learning. Taking the few steps from Maji was a good idea after all, he thought. Next, Brolis watched and waited for the battle to unfold further.

Well, well, well... this battle was going pretty nicely for the two of you, wouldn't you say so? I mean, you'd already taken one of the fire Pokémon out of the race, and now it was two against one, with a type attribute in your favor. That is, of course, providing that Plat can figure out how to do this whole Water Gun thing. It was certainly entertaining to watch the Psyduck trying to learn the new attack and considering the fact that Ninetales was wiped out and both Kaine and Jim were underground, there wasn't anything else to look at anyway.

So, let's have a quick recap on the plan, shall we? Plat was basically going to try to transform a Water Spout into a Water Gun, by pressurizing it a bit. Well, it's a good plan in theory; why don't we see how it all turns out?

Everybody was watching closely as the little yellow duck started his training, because like I said, there was stuff-all else to look at. So, without hesitation at his master's words, the Psyduck tilted his head backwards slightly, and took a deep breath, filling his lungs with oxygen. Now, Plat wasn't exactly sure how this whole 'air-goes-in-water-comes-out' deal worked, but he did know that deep down inside him somewhere there was a place where he could feel the water inside of him. So, focusing on that place inside of him, Plat brought the water up into his mouth and began to squirt it out through his bill. As expected, the water that escaped between the Psyduck's lips (wait... lips on a bill?) started off as nothing more than a trickle, but after a few moments of experimenting with the shape of his bill and the amount of pressure required, Plat felt he was ready. He paused for a moment to catch his breath.

Just as the Psyduck was about to try again, a brilliant plume of flames erupted from the hole where the Pachirisu and Arcanine had tunneled beneath the surface. Those flames couldn't possibly be a good thing, but fortunately they were soon followed by a brilliant flash of yellow light. Seemed like Kaine was holding his own, still no sign of either of them coming out though.

Plat returned his attention to his training. He could feel it, he was almost there! He drew the water up inside him once again and with his practices mouth movements he forced the water through quite a tiny gap between the two halves of his bill. The water shot out with impressive force in a jet like stream. The stream of water carried a good 30 feet before it finally hit the ground, and when it did it left a bare patch of earth where there had once been loose gravel. Sure, it didn't take much to move gravel, but you try doing it at 30 feet. I hate to say this, but I think your Psyduck's actually managed to get something right!

Just then, Jim leaped from the hole, his fur charred in several places and panting heavily. He was followed closely by Kain, who seemed to be in a similar state of affairs. I don't know what went on down there, but it looks like both Pokémon took a fair beating, and they both seemed pretty pooped. Neither bothered to move just yet, each one savoring what little time they had to catch their breath. That would all have to end once some orders went around though.

Brolis watched as Psyduck bobbed his head up and down after the amazing display of his water gun! "Great job Plat! I'm so proud I taught you that move! HAHA!" he said, smiling. His smile was more of a smirk at the couple and putting an emphasis on 'hey, I can beat you now'. Plat was fully ready for his next set of moves. The land around was quite damp now, from all of the water practice Plat had gotten in.

Brolis turned to his partner and said, "Hey, Maji. I think it's time to finish this battle. We should pull out a double header on this stupid Arcanine. Plat is ready for a water gun and if we can wet down the Arcanine enough, the shock from your spark should be enough to cause some major damage!"

With that said and done, Brolis smirked again. Plat was now on his side of the field, ready for whatever orders were before him. He would obviously get half of all the experience that was given on the field. He was now pumped even though he was rather tired from all the practicing. Brolis then gave the next plan of attack. "Plat!" he called, "Time to teach this punk couple how strong water is against fire! All you need to do is douse that Arcanine in as much water as you possibly can. Water gun!!!" Brolis screeched. He was now ready and willing to give Plat anything to do that would increase their chances of winning the battle and gaining that experience.
