A battler huh? Well, you certainly are in the right place. People go nuts in the city and just wanna beat something up. They get freaking mean, man. Seriously, watch your back.

Uh oh, here comes trouble now. You really shouldn't wear black, it's not becoming on you. The gang swaggered on up, circling you warily. It seemed they took offense to you for some reason. There were four in all, each looking you up and down. The blond hair kid looked to be the leader as he seemed to be the smartest of the lot. He jerked his head and the four stopped, still surrounding you.

"New in town?" he asked, a slight accent on his voice. It was raspy and breathy as he glanced at your pockets. "Fine for passin' through here. Two hundred even and we won't cut your pretty face up, kid." Hardly, you were older than them. Well, you could have Trapinch come out and start kicking street punk ass or just shove them out of the way. Although I wouldn't go for the last suggestion. One just pulled a knife at your silence, giving you a very quiet threat with the flash of the blade.
Silence is merely another language.

Roy watched the blond haired boy pull out a knife. Keeping his cool, he calmly gave him a stare. A stare that said, "You'd be retarded to stab me." Walking through between two of the kids, Roy just calmly walked away. Paying no attention to these inferior hoodlums, Roy just shrugged as he passed on.

"Oh, and, uh, little tow-head kid," Roy said to the 'leader'. "If you were to stab me, think of the consequences with the law. I'd get sent to a hospital, you'd be wanted for a attempted murder, I'd get my two-hundred back, and then, once I'm out of the hospital, would just live life on as if you were never an obstacle. Now that my plan is out in the air, am I what you hood rats call a 'snitch'? Am I 'snitch' for getting sent to hospital after your idiot stunt and then telling the police?" Turning on his heel, Roy proceeded towards the Meteoric Plains. He read about them online one day back in Hoenn and decided that it would be a good place to train Trapinch.

Forgetting all about the hoodlums, Roy reached into a pocket and retrieved Trapinch's ball. He let it fall to the ground, letting it collapse against the pavement. A flash of bright light surrounded the area in about a one-foot diameter. Once the light faded, Trapinch was standing next to Roy, glad to be free. Reaching down to pet him, Roy decided to carry his little friend. Picking him and holding him like a dog, Roy started to then again head towards the plains again.

Remembering the lil'-gangsters from earlier, Roy turned to see if the kids were still following him. Hoping that he didn't need to open a can of whup-ass, Roy slowly turned to see if there were hoodlums with bad parents still behind him.

Guess who's back...
Looking back was a smart thing to do. If you didn't, you would probably have gotten hit by the ember attack that was coming at you. You luckily fell to the ground in time, while doing so though Trapinch fell out of your arms. Who'd stoop so low as to attack when your back was turned. " You think you can bad talk me and just run away?" the kid from earlier said. Yep, they were back. The bad thing was there were three Pokemon by their side.

The Slugma obviously belonged to the leader. It was by far the only threat to you. "You can't go telling the police anything if you're dead right?" the leader said to you. Now there was a threat on your life. Come on, show that loser who's boss. It's three on one so what, you had the superior Pokemon. "So you gonna let us kill you or are you gonna put up a fight?" one of them said. I wasn't taking that from a snot nosed kid. They all started to laugh at you. Trapinch though, shut them all up by snapping its jaws. It wouldn't let anyone bad-mouth its trainer. It seemed ready for a fight, but were you?

Roy looked at his foes. Staring intently at the obstacles before him, Roy leaned down to whisper to Trapinch.

"OK, proceed with this," Roy whispered to his P.I.C-- Partner In Crime. "Let's start with you biting the Venonat, then smashing it down. Once done with that, proceed by using another Bite on it. It's Psychic, so I'm hoping that this round should take it down alone. Try to avoid the Slugma at all costs." Roy crossed his arms and sighed. He looked at the kid's blade, hoping that he didn't get any funny ideas. Roy uncrossed his arms and stared blank-eyed at his foe. If things got out of hand, he would need to go to extreme measures to stop that punk from stabbing him.

Looking back at Trapinch, he noticed the little guy was ready for action. Grinning and closing his eyes to a slit, the litte trapper-looking Pokemon stepped forward. heading towards the Venonat, Trapinch opened his mouth to fight...

Trapinch nodded as he heard his masters commands. He grinned and snapped at the foes who threatened him and his friend. How dare they flash that blade around! Trapinch knew his own teeth were sharper than that blade plus a hundred more! Grinning and baring his fangs, Trapinch stepped forward to fight for his owner. These little punks won't get away with hallow threats...

Wow pretty intense. You'd only just got to this city and some punks were already threatening you with a knife. Still it's not the worst thing that could be happening in Alternia. You don't want to know about the two guys that nearly got mauled by an Ursaring after a very intence battle. Or the guy that got attacked by a tornado. Hopefully this situation will go better than theirs.

Trapinch snapped his jaw in anger. These kids were threatening his trainer. He wasn't going to stand there and take it. And these kids were younger than you. What was it with kids these days? Anyway just because they have a fancy knife doesn't mean they know how to battle. And these kids certainly had no idea what they doing. I mean the kid with the Slugma just ordered his pokemon to use a Flamethrower. Is he stupid? Anyway as Slugma just sat there with a confused look on his face the kid yells,
"COME ON SLUGMA!! WHAT'YA DOING??!! DAD'S MAGCARGO CAN DO IT...WHY CAN'T YOU??!!"
Ah now it makes sense. The kid was trying to be like his dad, who may have been a pretty powerful battler. Anyway since Slugma had no idea what he was doing, it didn't look he would be attacking this round. Lucky break.

Trapinch ran towards Venonat and opened his mouth as far up as he could. He reached Venonat and bit down as hard as he could. His jaw clamping shut on Venonat. Lifting his head up, Venonat's head was stuck inside Trapinch's jaw. He was struggling but P.I.C's hard jaw could take it easily. He started shaking him about, a bit like a dog with a chew toy. It was quite an amusing sight but it must have been hurting the poor Venonat. Finally Trapinch spat out the bug pokemon, letting him lie on the floor, saliva coveing him. The attack seemed to do a fair amount of damage since Venonat was a Psychic type...wait no that doesn't sound right. Yep, I'm right. Sorry but Venonat is a Bug/Poison type. This means the attack did normal damage. But Venonat was still hurt. Thats alway a good sign. And you've still got another Bite to go. Trapinch gripped Venonat in his mouth once again and bit down hard. Venonat gave a squel of pain before being spat out once again. Unfortunately he wasn't knocked out yet but he was close.

Now the kid with the Venonat wasn't happy with these events. And he knew something about battling. He was about to turn the tides of battle.
"Venonat get up and Disable. Then use a Tackle." He yelled. Venonat stood back up and prepared his attack. He concentrated hard before completely disabling P.I.C's movement. P.I.C was unable to move for at most 15 seconds and Venonat used this oppurtunity to deliver a powerful Tackle that knocked Trapinch off his feet. Next the Scorupi's trainer ordered an attack.
"Scorupi time for a Poison Sting, then use a Bite of your own."

Scorupi let out a barrage of pin-like projectiles that soared toward the still disabled Trapinch. The attack once again struck him and knocked him into the air. As he landed the effect of Disable wore off and as Scorupi jumped in for a Bite, Trapinch was able to avoid it.

Time for the next round. I can't see Venonat lasting much longer. But that Slugma could cause some problems. It might not have attacked this turn but it would do sometime, and it was considerably stronger than your Trapinch.
