Indeed. Too long and too tedious ... however, all was good. She retrieved the Lapras egg, storing it safely before noting the progress of her other egg. Hopefully it would hatch into something that would be of use to her. If not ... well, almost any Pokemon would be of use to her, she reckoned. Smiling, Aquos took another step forward - crash! Something shot out from the ground and clattered to a halt at her feet. The girl glanced at it curiously. Wondering what it was about, she picked it up and nearly dropped it into the slowly rising waters. It wasn't that hot, but it was ... well, kinda hot amidst the cool environment of the watery cavern.

Her Poketech soon responded and updated itself to display data on the meteor. "Alright ... redeem stone for Pokemon. Sounds like a good deal," she said to herself, smiling as she proceeded to head out of the cave. Hopefully she wouldn't be trapped within it! As she walked, she proceeded to think about several events in the future that she would like to try out - perhaps some move tutoring, some training, perhaps even evolving some of her Pokemon ...

Of course, most of that would have to wait. Firstly, she had to get out of this watery place.

Well, I didn't mean to take this long to get to the ref, but college has had me pinned down pretty badly the last couple weeks. At least I've had time to piece this together in some reasonable manor. Though, do pardon the over-controlling of your character. I'm assuming actions on what you have completed and competed in already.

Alright, so the mission thus far has seen our heroine fight the mother Lapras for the rights of the egg and find a mysterious white rock. Now that the cave has been emptied of it's goods, there is little more to do than leave. Crossing the ankle-deep water in the icy nest proved to be easy, besides getting wet feet. A few simple steps up to the cave network itself and you were out of the water, for now. At the intersection where you fought Tezeh, you turned around to see the water steadily rising within the nest. It would probably be chest deep had you still been in there. Having new incentive, you continued at a hurried pace to the mouth of the cave. And not a minute too soon. Once you were clear of the hole, you made your way to the top of the natural pier. The hole Twinkel made was still clearly there, but afforded you a look inside. A rushing noise came to your ears, and a rumbling from beneath your feet. Suddenly, a wall of water burst forth from the entrance, pushing anything that might have been with it far out to sea. Yeah, it's a good thing you won against Lapras when you did, otherwise you might have gone for a real wild ride.

Well, now that that is over with, a trip to the pokemon center to heal would be a good idea. Off the pier to the sandy beach you went. There were plenty sea pokemon around, you may want to come back here later. Once you were back to the streets of Millenia, it wasn't long until you had the Pokemon center in your sights. Straight to the main counter, a nurse took your pokemon to be healed.

As you stepped away from the counter, a man in the corner caught his eye. A poster near him said something to the effect of "Meteor Collection Event Swap Station: We're coming to YOU!" So.. that Poketch message from before about the meteor trade in, this looks like it was connected to it? A crate of Pokeballs next to the man reassured the thought. Seeing the Meteor in Fausts's hand, the man motioned for him to come over. This seemed too good fortune to be true.. could this just be a scam? Getting there, the man greeted him warmly.

"Good day miss! I see by the Meteor you're carrying that you might be interested in trading it in for our Prize Pokemon, right?" The man took a Pokeball from the crate and released it before him.

:cestar

It was a small, blue, bipedal Dragon Pokemon. There were strange white circles dotted around it's body, from it's head to it's fish-like tail. It cried happily once, then lifted off the floor and started doing circles in the air. A Pokemon with the Levitation ability, it seems.

As the man traded the meteor for the Pokeball in his hand, the dragon seemed to divert from circles everywhere to just circles around you. "Ah, it seems that he likes you already. Enjoy your new Pokemon, and thank you for participating in the Midnight Ember Meteor Event!"

So, a Cestar, eh? That's pretty awesome. A minute later, you were summoned back to the desk to receive your team, fully healed. Well, not much else to do around here, time to leave I guess. Or not. As you walked outside, the wind kicked up pretty fiercely. The source was pretty evident since plenty of people were looking up and pointing. A helicopter hovered just a few dozen feet above you. Then, a person was lowered to the ground, one of the pilots most likely. He ran over to you and said, "You are miss Aquos Templar, yes? Your assistance is requested in fighting a giant beast within the Forest of Legends that is threatening Nogou Village. Please, come with us." Agreeing, you were lifted into the cabin and transported to the forest to fight the Great Genbu...

Through the combination of many trainers and Pokemon, you managed to bring down the beast and reap the rewards including another Pokemon egg. As you were flying back to Millenia, you overheard the pilots talking about the Tournament of Aegis and how it was starting up again. After a short discussion with them, they agreed to drop you off at Joukai Pass so you could compete. Nothing like going from one major event to the next. Oh well, time to compete!

Well, that could have certainly gone better for you, getting defeated in the second round and all. You left the stadium to look for some hopeful transport to where ever you wanted to go, but something else caught your eye. It was a Vozelle and looked to be pretty powerful. It seemed to be somewhat curious of you and may be looking for a battle. It certainly has an interesting typing. Then, out of nowhere, a Heracross flew into the clearing, Tackling Vozelle to the ground. Um, that is different. The two of them stared each other down, then rushed forward to Tackle each other. Do... do you think they could be rivals? Regardless, if you want a piece of the action, you should get in there now while the pickings are good. What do you say?

(The Meteor has been taken from your Profile and your appropriately leveled Cestar has been added to your Profile. Please post in the Genbu thread in the quick links picking your hold item and such. As for ToA, please hold off on claiming that until tier 3 is done. I think that's it. -phew-)

Aquos had managed to exit the cave, egg, items, Pokemon and all - in one piece! It was certainly an adventure to remember ... and everything that went along with it. Even though it was hard trying to make sure everything worked out, the end result was ... well, precisely that. Now having two eggs to go with the one she obtained from the trade, the girl was certain that she would have a number of Pokemon to handle once they were hatched. Well, that was what the PC System was for, right? Making mention to herself to reorganize her team before working on some extra techniques and moves, she headed away from the beach, but not before stopping at a stall/shop to purchase a fishing rod.

The rod was rather old and seemingly flimsy, but if what she had read from a helpful message on her Poketech (aka the annoying device she had to wear) rang true, it would allow her to buy a Fishing Licence and subsequently three +1 Licences. All was good as the roof of the Pokemon Center loomed around the corner. Soon, she would be in an air-conditioned environment where her Pokemon could and would receive good care from the nurse in charge. Perhaps she might even be able to get something to eat. That wouldn't be too out of the question now, since Pokemon Centers were supposed to be a spot for Trainers to catch a break.

Like she thought just a moment ago, all was good.

Once she handed over her Pokemon to be treated, Aquos purchased the licences she would need to expand her team. Now, she was able to carry an extra three Pokemon on her, totaling up to a cool nine Pokemon! Of course, this called for some rearranging for her team ... as soon as she retrieved her team, the teenager was about to head to the computer to withdraw her newly-obtained Bagon, but was quickly stopped by a man that wished to exchange her meteor for a Pokemon - a Cestar to be specific.

"Huh? A Pokemon?" mouthed Aquos, at which the man responded with a calm nod and pushed into her hands a Pokeball. Naturally, Aquos handed over her meteor - she had to wonder why the man was intent on taking her meteor, even wanting to give her a Pokemon for it, but she accepted it all the same. Even if it was too good to be true. "A prize Pokemon, huh ..." the girl said, exhaling as she released the creature from its Pokeball. The little dragon Pokemon rubbed its head against her, grinning as she withdrew and released Ryuuza, her Bagon.

"Accelerando~" she called, motioning to the Cestar. The newly-named Pokemon glanced at Ryuuza for a moment, then turned to her. Accelerando hovered over to her, bumping against Aquos before laughing and returning to Ryuuza's side. Smiling, she then proceeded to release Sonata and Requiem from their Pokeballs. For the Shinx, she placed the TM for Attract upon her. The disc-like object dissolved, turning into fragments of data before being absorbed by the young Pokemon. She shivered slightly; the sensation wasn't quite liked by her, but she smiled all the same before pawing at her ears. Requiem merely looked on with a questioning expression until Aquos turned to him; his face wore a smirk as she glanced at him.

Extending a hand, she offered to the mongoose Pokemon a disc similar to which she had placed on Sonata, but the different was that it had a red sheen to it. Having seen what it was supposed to do, the Zangoose crushed it, absorbing its power. The move he just learned was Flamethrower, a Fire-type move. While it wasn't particularly strong when placed within his hands, given the right situation and conditions, he would be able to overturn a difficult fight with a ranged attack. Something ranged in his arsenal of powerful physical moves was bound to do something good.

Leaving the two dragons to their own devices, she returned Sonata and released Clavier, the leader (somewhat) of the rest of her Pokemon. After a brief introduction to the newest additions to their team, she handed him a Miracle Seed and made sure he held unto it, for it would boost his Grass-type moves by a certain amount. With that done, she agreed to help a pilot in the battle to defeat a massive tortoise Pokemon before being whisked off right after for a tournament.

Needless to say, Aquos' team wasn't yet cut out for a tournament. However, they had gained some valuable experiences from it, and for that the team was happy. With Clavier and Requiem by her, she healed up in the all-too familiar Pokemon Center before heading out ... straight into a Pokemon battle! It was a fight between a Vozelle and a Heracross; while she wasn't sure who was in the wrong in this situation, she did know the one thing she had to do. Break up the fight and see if she could catch herself both the Pokemon; if memory served, she still had three Pokeballs nestled within her backpack. No harm in trying to catch either Pokemon, for they were fairly strong and would serve to boost up her team, especially the Heracross. She wasn't sure what to do with the Vozelle if she did catch it, though ...

For now, she would aim to defeat both creatures, restrain and capture them before making a decision. Yes, that would be it.

"Accel, you team up with Requiem and Cadence," she said, nodding to three of her Pokemon. The Cestar that had his name, Accelerando shortened to Accel, hovered beside the smaller reptile, and of course, Requiem overshadowed them in terms of height. "Look at the Heracross and target him! Accel, go for a Dragonbreath and a Thundershock; Requiem, try out that Flamethrower of yours, then try to cover for Accel and Cadence with a Quick Attack. That means not letting them get hit if possible. As for you, Cadence, go for three Embers!"

Her vision shifted to the Vozelle. According to her Poketech, it had a fairly tricky typing - Electric and Ground. Of course, Ground-type moves would be able to defeat it quickly ... but none of her Pokemon had that type of move. "Clavier!" she said, releasing her Turtwig from his Pokeball, followed by Ryuuza and Sonata, "You three, listen up. Clavier, use Razor Leaf thrice. Ryuuza, use Bite, but use Rage twice if Vozelle tries to attack you. Sonata ... go for a Charge, then Bite after Clavier uses Razor Leaf. Don't let Vozelle get close to Heracross!"

Ah, this is so much easier than the plot. Now then, to have a massive 6v2 battle, there's going to be chaos. Anyway, I lost my train of thought, so I'll just get on with it.

As Heracross and Vozelle turned to face each other once again, the flashes of light from your Pokeballs caught their attention. With a visible opposition, the two of them exchanged pokespeak before turning to face off with your team. The two at higher levels moved first, Heracross with a Night Slash landing a solid hit of dark energy on Requiem and Vozelle with a Thundershock that gave Clavier a good jolt. This gave the team a chance to counter attack. Clavier with Razor Leaf, Accel with Dragon Breath, and Requiem and Cadence with their fire attacks. Unfortunately, Cadence's Ember got absorbed into the larger Flamethrower, voiding it out. The attacks hit home, both taking significant damage with an added bonus of Heracross getting Burned. Talk about lucky, not only does it do damage, but weakens his attack power. Sonata stayed back this time to Charge her energy, boosting her special defense. Lastly, Bagon ran forward trying to Bite Vozelle.

The electric type wasn't going to have any ankle-biting so she used a Horn Attack to knock him away. Heracross, meanwhile sought vengeance for his burn and so used Aerial Ace to get in at Requiem once again. He took the hit without much issue. Then, Clavier, Accel, and Cadence released their elemental attacks. Though, there was one flaw in that Vozelle has Lightning Rod which drew the electricity to her, nullifying it with her ground typing. Continuing, Sonata, Ryuuza, and Requiem moved in for more physical attacks. Not too much to say there except the wild duo were now feeling overwhelmed by all the pressure. Clavier released a third Razor Leaf that scored a critical hit no less, Cadence sent a third Ember, Ryuuza used another Rage, and Requiem used another Quick Attack.

After all was said and done, Vozelle lay fainted on the ground with Heracross looking not too far from the same fate. It might be time for Pokeballs unless you're looking to finish off Heracross first. So, whatever you might choose, may it be the right one.

Aquos's Pokemon jumped into action soon after the commands were given. The Heracross struck first with a Night Slash, and Requiem took the blow instead of Accelerando or Cadence, which was a good thing. She didn't need fainted Pokemon ... not now, anyway. There was probably a nearby Pokemon Center, so she could heal up. If not, it was gonna be a long walk, she reckoned. Anyway, Requiem was doing fine with his new technique, Flamethrower. While he wasn't going to be a powerhouse anytime soon, some tutoring would fix the problem. However, she did know that she was going to use his multitude of techniques to tutor some of the newer Pokemon, especially Ryuuza and Cadence. They could use some of the (literally) added firepower, after all. But that was another time. The battle still waged on.

At the end of everything, when the dust settled, Vozelle was knocked out, but strangely, Ryuuza was by her side, holding his head in pain. Apparently, he had collided head on while he was rushing in to use Bite on the gazelle Pokemon. His opponent had lowered her horns, readying herself to use Horn Attack, which meant that he probably had took some damage. Well, since the damage was taken, there was nothing she could do ... thankfully, the wild Pokemon was already knocked out. Of course, Aquos knew what was coming right up after that ... but first things first.

"Ryuuza, are you okay?" she inquired, to which the dragon Pokemon responded with a quick nod of his head. Trying to act cool, Ryuuza quickly followed his nod up with a crossing of his arms. Smiling, Aquos couldn't help but laugh. "Right. So I need you and Accel to attack the Heracross ... he should be on his last legs now."

And indeed he was. The burned insect was standing around, but he was still ready to fight. Requiem now stood behind the female, rubbing his arms slightly. The attacks had caused him to take quite an amount of damage ... but he was good. Still good.

Also, she bought lottery tickets. This was becoming an addiction ... slowly ... kinda ... but she had money.

Heracross battle:
Ryuuza - Bite x2
Accelerando - Dragonbreath
Cadence - Ember x2

Attempt to capture Vozelle and Heracross.

RIGHT... Much over kill on that Heracross, but, I GUESS it can't be helped.. I won't bother with the battle stats, 9 HP left vs six Pokemon, it's pretty clear with the outcome...

Being the fastest, as well as higher leveled, Cadence's Embers contacted with the Heracross first, taking it to it's knees. It struggled with it's quickly escaping vitality, before.. The sound of it's very solid exoskeleton hitting the ground, with a very satisfying clunking sound. Vozelle was down, and now Heracross was down. Not too bad for just getting out of the tournaments, huh?

Throwing two Pokeballs, the large, fainted Pokemon disappeared within the balls, and without much fuss, the Pokeballs halted their writhing on the ground. That wasn't too bad, but.. you DID use just about all of your Pokemon against them. Experience in this battle's going to be deflated as all hell...

Well now, you and your seven Pokemon were standing outside of the main tournament building- wait, seven? There was.. Turtwig, Charmander, Teddiursa, Zangoose, Shinx, Cestar, Bagon, Genb- wait, GENBU?

The large, purple and black turtle creature was standing along side Aquos, her bag on the ground next to it. Bits of egg shell were laying around.. HEY! It just hatched! Now how something THAT big fit in that tiny egg, I have no idea, but.. Hey, big turtle about the same size that your Turtwig will eventually be when it's all grown up... Well then, moving along~

There was some tables set up around the entrance, with some Alakazam standing around it with a few reception people. Apparently, it was a small setup to Teleport people back to where they had come from before the tournament started, or just to generally Teleport them out of here. Or, you could stay, and travel as normal.. But hey, who was that?

A lone trainer was standing a bit off in the distance, with a strange black dragon on his shoulder, and a blue one on the ground. Wait, that was a Bagon too! Could that... be the guy that won Tier 3 a little while ago? It just could be.. However, he wasn't there too long. A large crowd of angry fans of his opponent started to chase after him, but the pursuit stopped when he apparently disappeared into the woods. It was getting dark, too, and the woods had a very eerie look to them around now.. Well, just some information on your surroundings. What would our young thief do now, with her new found freedom?

[Lapras egg: 3/15]
[Genbu egg: 2/2] - Hatched

Vozelle has joined the party!

Heracross has joined the party!

(WELL... IF Racer hasn't edited in the EXP by the end of the day... post to Profile Updates, if you would. Afraid to do them so late at night... Sorry... >>;)

Clearly, the battle was tilted in her favour. Never mind the EXP flattened beyond recognition - what was important was that everyone gained something from the battle. That was important, seeing as Requiem had learnt something or two about Flamethrower, and the rest of the team got to know each other ... somewhat, disregarding the fact that some of them were seeing each other for the first time. Smiling at her team, Aquos retrieved her Pokeballs to return some of them, but found that something was amiss, uh ... too obviously standing there.

"Hey, aren't you that ... that turtle some others and I ... well ..."

"Gen?"

Her jaw slacked. What did she have to do with such a huge Pokemon? Mind running away for a moment, the girl turned around hurriedly and stared at Requiem, then at Clavier. The Zangoose was stoic and merely folded his arms, while the Turtwig offered an apologetic smile. There was nothing to two could do for her ... and the rest of the Trainer's Pokemon as well, it seemed. Sonata was yawning and batting at Cadence playfully, while Accelerando and Ryuuza were headbutting each other non-ferociously. Despite the pressing need to settle the miniature brawl between the two dragons, Aquos' attention, for the most part, was fixed on the baby Genbu staring at her.

Humming, the creature smiled at her. She smiled back, albeit gingerly. He was large enough to ride on, so ... might as well seize the chance and start walking. More like, seize the chance and start walking to a nearby Pokemon Center to get her Pokemon orderly yet again. Genbu stifled a yawn, and she climbed aboard the massive turtle as the rest of her Pokemon piled on, save Accelerando. He decided that he'd hover and mess around in mid-air, much to Ryuuza's envy.

... right, moving along.

To cut a long story short, she teleported back to Millenia, got her team rearranged, and started off back to Joukai Pass. What she didn't understand was ...

"What the heck ... a group of fans ..."

Yeah, a bunch of runner-up fans were clumped up in the middle of the road. Aquos was slightly annoyed at that, and even more annoyed at the fact that her Poketech didn't come with a horn. Genbu was no longer in her team, and therefore, couldn't part the crowd. With a sigh, the teenager stared into the forest - guess what, she saw a Trainer! ... no surprise there, but what made it exciting to her was that the person she glimpsed was the guy who had won Tier 3, the tier she was competing in not too long ago.

Keeping a tag on him, Aquos made a mental note of where he was heading to. In the meantime ... it was tutoring time~ Yay~

Hidden Power

Alright, time to start tutoring. What made this move simple was that all Pokemon on her team, and other Pokemon as well, could learn it. However, what was difficult was whatever made moves, moves. According to the description provided by her Poketech, it was a move where everyone's inner power was different. And they had no idea of knowing what type until they finally use it! At the very least, everyone was going to attempt it together, which could potentially provide some kind of comfort for the weaker Pokemon, making them feel a little more confident in what they were doing.

"Well, listen up! This move is known as Hidden Power, a move where you ... release your hidden power. I know, it's really uncreative, but ... you can't blame the naming, since it's pretty direct. You focus, find your inner self and release all your hidden, pent-up energies into that move!"

At this, Accelerando started laughing, prompting Ryuuza to echo it. However, the Bagon soon realized that this was learning a new move, not laughing at it, and so, he lightly punched the Cestar. Accelerando wasn't too pleased, and neither was Octave. Being a new addition to the team, he couldn't help but roll his eyes a little and move to a nearby tree and start punching it. The Heracross was easily bored, and even though he didn't want to admit it, he was a little intimidated of Requiem.

But then again, Sonata and Ryuuza and Cadence were a little, save Clavier. Accelerando wasn't scared of anything until something punched it in the face. Then all the Cestar would do is stupidly bite it back. Indeed, it was a little ... dense. Or rather, it couldn't really read the atmosphere, that is, reading the general air of something (whether it was feeling threatened, happy, etcetera). Basically, Accelerando was a little stupid in the head, and would do anything with all its little heart. Not the best combination ... but, back to the tutoring.

"Now, everyone, close your eyes! Accel, see how Ryuuza does it and ... shut your eyes. Now, try and imagine your inner self ... what are you doing and what would you like to attack with? Something cool ... or cute?"

Derping... All Day, Every Day!
((Also, remember I did this at 1:30 in the morning. D:))

So, here we are. Mass tutoring Hidden Power. I did the exact same thing, and requested Crosse. Does that make me evil? Anyway, it seems fine to me to do. Again, I like your team. But how well can they focus the amount needed to bring out their inner strength? A lot. It was time to start, and I think I'll go down the list that you made with the sprites.

Clavier was up first. Your Turtwig. He seemed to have a rather calm nature to begin with. Closing his eyes, the grass type began to try and focus. His inner self, well, that was a new task to do. What would he be? Not even I can tell you the secret's of your Turtwig's mind. Maybe becoming a powerful Torterra. And of course, a lot of male pokemon, even humans, want to be the best or coolest. Turtwig seemed to be in more focus then anyone around at the moment, so maybe it'd come a little easier to Clavier.

Learning Curve ~ 15%

Now for Cadence, the Charmander. Even he was rather calm seeming. Or is it just what I get from these pokemon? I must say that this Charmander has some cool moves--an egg move. Awesome. Even if Clavier is stronger, level wise, could Cadence come out on top in this tutor? Who cares about the moves it has but the one it is going to learn. Charmander closed his eyes, and began to do the same as Clavier. He even peeked once or twice to make sure he was doing things okay. The focus wasn't very... present.

Learning Curve ~ 10%

Ooooooh, the Zangoose. Requiem seemed to know a bit about power. Some nice attacks, combined with a tutored move and two egg moves. Wow, this guy might have a talent for this stuff going on. In a way, Requiem knew everyone was a little intimidated, which only fueled him for more of the feeling. He closed his eyes, and intently focused. He stayed quiet, and focused on what his inner self and power could be. It could be any element! How would he know which he wanted. Maybe if you could help him out there. But, he seemed to have the best focus so far. Staying still, Requiem quietly challenged everyone else.

Learning Curve ~ 20%

Even Sonata, the Shinx, had some moves. Whoa, I wish I could get a chance to get all kinds of good moves like this. And I tutor enough! Never any egg moves, though. Sonata sat herself down, and tried to focus on what her inner self was. And what kind of attack she would use. Of course, you should know she'd want a cute attack. But what attack was cute, aside from Attract? Either way, she seemed intent on learning this. Imagining everything was becoming a good thing to her, and she seemed to be enjoying her "inner self".

Learning Curve ~ 15%

Cester. Oh, Cestar. Accelerando was the one who started laughing. Starting off in a upset fashion, or unpleased fashion would really cramp things up for Accelerando. It tried to listen to your instructions anyway. Closing it's eyes, it did what every other pokemon tried doing--imagining an inner self. Cester seemed playful, so it started thinking of playful things. It became distracted within trying to learn a move. Oh, jeez. How was this going to stop? Sadly, you even noticed the playful expressions uncovering on the dragon's face. It wasn't focusing at all, and no progress was made.

Octave, the Heracross, was the first one you mentioned being a little intimidated by Requiem. Also, that he bores easily. Oh no, with a trait like that, this tutor would become difficult. Octave finished punching the tree and then joined the group. Closing his eyes, he imagined being stronger then Requiem, which could drive him to beating him to the finish line with Hidden Power. His focus had a heightened effect from the desire to be better. His face cringed at times, struggling to maintain the perfect line. However, he held through and got almost a balanced focus.

Learning Curve ~ 20%

Ryuuza was the last to be checked and reviewed for the move. The dragon was young, beginning this tutor at only level five. Bagon hadn't had much time to be taught anything else, so learning something was definitely knew. As it seemed to be with Octave and Accelerando, but something kept Ryuuza different. The dragon sat down, and closed it's eyes. The thought of learning excited him, but his focus was a little rusty. It wasn't like he always had time to meditate. But, you could see some sort of intent focus was there.

Learning Curve ~ 10%

During all the commotion, your egg seemed to wobble and shake. It got to the point that you were forced to remove it from your bag. The egg didn't seem that of the Lapras egg, and Genbu just hatched. It must've been the mystery egg. With one or two more violent shakes, it cracked. Out came a Swablu, after using it's beak to crack the top open. There you had it; a tiny, baby Swablu. Too bad that you had too many pokemon. The Swablu was forced into a pokeball and transferred to a PC. You had no choice for right now, but could always get it later. Dealing with the tutoring, it didn't seem so good just trying to have them look for their inner self. Maybe some lessons on meditations, or finding moves they know to build up power and focus.

Lapras Egg: 4/15

Hidden Power

"Alright, great job, everyone!" smiled Aquos, as all her Pokemon scrambled to open their eyes, relax, and in the case of Accelerando and Ryuuza, start playing. However, Clavier quickly rounded up some of the younger and more playful ones, specifically the Cestar and Bagon. Standing firmly between them, he turned to each of them before sitting down calmly.

"Now, all of you need to focus on a specific aim - just one aim would suffice. Envision yourself in it ... and kicking butt! Accel, come here."

The Cestar floated over to his new Trainer, blinking curiously as he stared at Aquos for a minute or so. Soon, his attention went and he was cartwheeling in the air and around the girl's shoulder with a huge grin.

"Accel, listen. I need you to close your eyes and listen to what your mind's telling you. Think of what you want to do, but instead of doing it out in real life, do it within your mind. You might want to move around a little - you can do that, but just keep focusing on the image of yourself. Think you can do that?"

Nodding, Accelerando actually managed to hover in a fixed position for a minute or so, but that was it. A moment later and he was spinning, moving around within a small radius - but thankfully, his eyes were shut and he was smiling unconsciously. Perhaps he was thinking of what he wanted to do, or perhaps he was just envisioning himself playing with Ryuuza; at the very least, he had finally shut his eyes and play out a situation within his mind. That should do something for his concentration, no?

Meanwhile, beside Ryuuza, Clavier closed his eyes, exhaling calmly and taking in a deep breath. Focusing was easy for him, for he had once focused various energies into his leaves during his learning of Razor Leaf. While it was a rather simple move that was innate and soon to be learnt, he did gain some valuable experience from it - for one, he knew how to calm himself down before tapping into a reserve of energy that would bring out his new move. He wasn't sure what effects his thoughts and personality would have on Hidden Power - and he daren't ask - but he felt that as long as he kept up with focusing and subsequently, converting his thoughts into energy, he would achieve something.

The Turtwig too knew the fact that if he was one of the first ones to master this technique, he would sacrifice his energy and power to show Ryuuza, Sonata, or maybe even Accel how it was done. After all, as unofficial team leader (or was it official?), his job was to lead, and he would do that through example, not brute force.

Eying Clavier nervously, Ryuuza crossed his arms before his chest, pursing his lips tightly. His eyes narrowed; what was it that he wanted to achieve with his new Trainer of his? Gain her trust, of course ... but wasn't there anything else he wanted to do? Mind riddled with more thoughts than he needed to have, the Bagon shut his eyes and set his inner self to work. Slogging over a new move wasn't really his style - or rather, training a new move by following the others wasn't really his style. Individualism was more of his method, and if he wasn't getting anywhere focusing like the Turtwig by him was doing, he might as well try to attempt it differently.

Standing up and taking a deep breath, Ryuuza tried to mentally tighten his focus before focusing on a color. Pick a color, turn that color into a ball of energy that he can fire, and finally, fire it. Three steps to do, but first and foremost: pick the color and start focusing!

Cadence was more or less a cool reptile; determined and collected, he wasn't easily fazed, and even better, he was loyal. Sort of like a soldier serving his unit to his death ... but the Charmander wanted to avoid that at all costs, unless truly needed. Someone else needed his life more than he did - so he was giving his life to her. Upon seeing Aquos attempt to get Accelerando to settle down and learn his move, cool and calm as usual, the scaled Pokemon shut his eyes and started to ponder. A fierce warrior, claws and blue flames at the ready to back up, or lead the charge of the team. Yes, that was his goal and aim.

The Charmander decided that he would be a true warrior. Nothing was as simple as fighting to him, but to fight like a warrior needed some thought put into it. Having settled on his aim, he proceeded to take steady, deep breaths to calm his blue-hued flame (which was fluctuating between blazing and normal).

He smirked. This was definitely easy for him ... letting out a low chuckle, Requiem opened his eyes and took a swipe at the tree Octave had been punching. Unlike the other Pokemon on his team, he had managed to feel the way a Pokemon was supposed to feel when being at home with his inner self. Right now, what he needed to work on was draw the power out, gently stringing his weaker self and prompting it to strike with a certain element that was yet to be discovered. Right now, he would attempt this. He shut his eyes; searching, digging, diving, plunging deeper into himself where he had previously located his inner personality.

There he is. Sitting curled up on the ground with a calm smile as he tries to catch the butterflies flying around him. He is still young ... my sole purpose is to protect him, so that he can continue to enjoy his innocence. Only when he smiles can I be around to protect him from harm.

The smaller, younger Zangoose looks up from his crouching position and smiles at Requiem. He tries to get at the larger mongoose with an outstretched claw, but he fails to.

I'm training ... so I can protect you better.

Sonata pawed at the ground nervously. What could she possibly imagine within her mind? What did she want to achieve? Unlike Cadence, which didn't face much trouble in setting his future aim, the Shinx was having some problem. She couldn't quite place a finger on what she wanted to achieve with Hidden Power, for she wasn't a fighter Pokemon. She was, by nature, peace-loving, so she didn't quite share the same affinity as Requiem did for fighting, which made her a more than a little intimidated of him when she saw him prepare for Hidden Power. Worried that she wouldn't be able to catch up to either of her teammates, the cub shut her eyes tightly and focused on an image of herself enjoying candy. Since she was training ... might as well enjoy it and smile, right?

Octave took a nervous step back after Requiem left scratch marks on the tree he was previously training on. While he wasn't as deadly as the Zangoose was at the moment, the bug was pretty sure he could give him a run for his money ... if it involved pure strength. However, being defeated by the white-furred Pokemon - he had to admit - was a little demoralizing. How was he supposed to perform up to standard if he was constantly intimidated by the Zangoose?

Not wanting to mess up more than he had already by taking his own sweet time to practice again, the Heracross shut his eyes and punched the air before him lightly. The thing he desired most ... of course. To be the strongest Pokemon amongst his teammates ... maybe even stronger than Requiem. He wasn't about to admit it, but he did look up to the mongoose's pure strength and deadly, albeit cocky, demeanor.

"Remember, in the aim you've settled on, you need to think of things that would make you happy when you're doing them! That means, Requiem, if you love to fight for your pride, you should be thinking something related to that; Sonata, if you're feeling a little uncomfortable with fighting ... then think of it. You could use this new power to stop others from fighting, just like how Octave and the Vozelle were fighting just now. Ryuuza, what did you use to do, and enjoy doing? Do you like eating, or just being yourself?"

Lastly, Aquos turned to Clavier after settling the lottery with her Poketech. Seriously, this gambling habit of hers ...

"Hey, Clavier ... awesome job," she said, rubbing the back of his head lightly. The Turtwig smiled back in response.

Derping... All Day, Every Day!

So, we're starting with Accelerando the Cestar right off. A new line of things to do; I like changing things up. So, you had the playful dragon come away from the crowd, and try to focus. Of course, the others were examining him. The poor dragon hadn't really worked last time, so this time had to be different. And it was. Cestar seemed to float, and spin, but he still was focusing on something. However, as natural as it is the hover, does he have to spin? Surely that took away from some of his focus, but all in all, he was doing pretty good. Whatever he truly had imagined up, he was very intent on keeping it.

Curve ~ 15%

As it seemed, Ryuuza was merely focusing more. Trying to tune up his focus was good, right? Of course. But you didn't seem to give him anything to focus on. The dragon's face eventually cringed because he was trying so hard. He seemed playful, like Cestar. Upon seeing Cestar starting a good focus right off, this kind of had Ryuuza thinking, wouldn't it? Seeing as his playful buddy was all of a sudden learning and seemed a little further in his focus then he was. The focus might've been playful, or tough fighting, or being with others of his species. I cannot say for sure. But his face showed him gaining a hold on the focus part.

Curve ~ 25%

Cadence the Charmander found his aim, his focus point. Closing his eyes, the lizard had one thing in mind. To focus as if he was a true warrior. That had to deeply increase the focus for him, since he wanted that more then anything else right now. Leading the crew? A true warrior could. Fighting for people. A true warrior (of Good) would. His focus deeply increased, and you could tell that he was trying very hard. So hard, that a very tiny sphere of energy appeared and seemed to be shaky, but at Cadence's feet. It was very small, and probably only you, who had been watching him, would see. But it disappeared soon after. Even the short feel of it, you can tell the thought of a true warrior was what to go on for the Charmander.

Curve ~ 30%

Requiem had began to focus, after striking a tree. Surely, he display could come off as a "cool" personality. Octave would probably strive to be seen better. However, the Zangoose went right to focusing after, and it was then that he had a very personal moment. It seems he wishes to draw out the strength, and be powerful through learning and fighting to protect someone, or something. Deeply contained within his focus and his image he built up, you could see a slightly bigger orb then what had appeared for Cadence. Though it was small, it was still bigger then the Charmander had been able to conjure at a first try. Zangoose seemed to have a knack for this kind of stuff, or, his focus was just fueling him greatly. The orb seemed fine, and still. But towards the parts of his dream-like state, Requiem began to come out of such a deep focus. Thus, making the orb shake and fade away. However, it was an awesome first step into the new steps towards Hidden Power.

Curve ~ 35%

Sonata certainly had an aim. To not be left behind. Although, it wasn't in a sense of levels, but in learning and maybe in general. Her affinity definitely wasn't like Requiem, who seemed to have a personal connection to fighting and becoming stronger. As the Shinx closed her eyes, and began to think of candy, she held on for that image for a while. Though, it was nothing strong enough to help her along much. But as time went on, you made a comment that struck her. To think of fighting, but think of using her powers to stop fighting. Not that she was maybe doing the fighting herself. Sonata had no clue what Hidden Power really looked like, so she imagined herself knowing some other moves that she may have seen from the teammates, or other Shinx, or evolutions. The thought of stopping fights was slightly better focused for her then the candy. She was very pleased. Her focus high, but no orbs like Cadence or Requiem. Next time, for sure.

Curve ~ 25%

Octave was the last, but not least of this massive tutoring. Everyone could find their focus point, their drive for success. Octave seemed to have already found his. The drive of being the strongest. Kind of like Requiem, right? Well, the Zangoose wants to be strong in order to protect something, as Octave the Heracross wants to be the strongest amongst his peers. His drive could be equally strong, but not much so as Zangoose, who may reign supreme in this tutor. Octave closed his eyes, and began to focus. No matter what, he wanted to be the strongest. As he had that thought in his mind, and really focused on being better and stronger. His thrive for it was as strong as Cadence's. Though, his progress had been greater, but Heracross found an orb forming. It was about the size of the Charmander's, but maybe slightly bigger. Nothing to Requiem's size. It died soon after when Octave opened his eyes to try and see if things were happening.

Curve ~ 32%

Sp, I lied. Clavier still had to go, right? His intentions were hopefully to come out on top and be able to help the others. His self-less thoughts fueled him for success, and even karma amongst peers. Keeping that in mind, his focus was strong. However, he made an even tinier orb that Charmander's, which would be as if almost nothing was there. Having been able to keep the focus for longer, he had brought the size up to that of Charmander's. Things were going smoothly for this Turtwig, and your praises would keep on helping.

Curve ~ 35%

Hidden Power

"Yay, Accel!" said Aquos, grinning as she rubbed the Cestar's round, somewhat smooth head. Making sure he was away from the others seemed to work in helping him to concentrate. There was nothing to distract him, save his own thoughts when Ryuuza wasn't around for him to play with. The dragon-type stared at the girl calmly, then broke out into a fit of laughter. What he was thinking was completely out of this world! Something so great and big that even Ryuuza couldn't think of! Grinning from one ear-hole to the other, without being told to, Accelerando actually shut his eyes and focused on his thought. The girl couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking, for she was slightly surprised at his automatically working on Hidden Power.

Actually, Accelerando's thoughts were clear and focused. He knew just what he wanted, and what would make it work - which was pretty surprising, even for himself. In truth, he was imagining himself as a large, oversized monster the size of Godzilla. Firing furious blasts of breath-based attacks, stamping around and releasing jolts of electrical energy, he was terrorizing ... terrorizing ... something like a town. He wasn't sure what he was attacking, but he sure felt happy stomping around. It was fun, at least to the young Cestar - he got to spin and hover a little when he was thinking, so it was a win-win situation.

But the rest didn't need to know, he thought to himself with a quiet laugh. ACCEL GO STOMP AND BOOM~! BIG FIRE!! Yes, his thoughts were simple and so was his vocabulary; at the very least, he seemed to be finally getting somewhere.

Deciding to leave Accelerando to his own devices for a bit, the female Trainer moved over to where Cadence was. After all, how much trouble could a dragon get himself into in the span of five minutes? A lot, but Aquos couldn't bother at the moment. She rested her hand on the reptile for a while, feeling the groove of his scaly skin and the moment when he opened his eyes with renewed energy and focus. The Charmander was ready; he knew what he wanted and what to work on to get there.

A warrior, a knight, a loyal fighter right to the very end. He wasn't one for leadership - that was Clavier - but he could, at the very least, support him then. Thrusting his claw into the air as one would do a blade, he managed to achieve something that startled Aquos. A small sphere of energy actually formed around his feet, but soon disappeared when his concentration broke. Just what exactly made a fighter, a fighter ... ? Was it flashy moves, or was it something different? That was something he decided to figure out, and be what he wanted - and perhaps, needed to be.

Unlike the other Pokemon, Requiem had always struck Aquos was one of the lonelier, prideful personalities. Reluctant to bend over double for something or someone, the Zangoose was usually one who wanted only victories and success on his record. However, he had a much, much softer side to him ... more like a younger self within him that never did develop into a bloodthirsty mongoose. Leering at Octave, Requiem went back to his own devices. He would not be bothered by anyone, and most definitely not Octave. At the moment, the bug Pokemon wasn't the highest on his priority list ... and most likely never would be.

From where she was by her Charmander, Aquos vaguely noticed a larger, mildly pulsing orb around Requiem. He was back within his thoughts, swimming in gradually to peek at his inner self.

You'll continue trying to get that butterfly, right?

The young Pokemon looks up with something like a smile upon his face and nods exuberantly. Innocently, he goes back to pawing at the ground and toying with his own tail, laughing at the littlest things like the butterfly from before landing on his nose. He stares at it, unsure what to do until he sneeze - scaring off the butterfly.

Surrounded by his thoughts, unconsciously, the Zangoose smiled. Trying to succeed at Hidden Power was an easy job when he supported what he was doing. Requiem concentrated on the image of the smiling, younger Zangoose - yes, that was definitely it.

Next up, Clavier. The Turtwig wasn't having too much trouble with his aims, having located it effortlessly the first time he attempted Hidden Power. What he had to do next, however, was managing his thoughts and various targets. It wasn't so much of organizing them, but rather condensing them into a blast of energy that would eventually form Hidden Power. Upon seeing Cadence and Requiem's success, and soon after, Octave's, the Turtwig was ever the more determined to succeed. However, mastering it first or second, or even third was of second importance to him. Making sure everyone else got the basics before him was the key to backing up his fellow teammates.

Turning to Ryuuza, he spoke. "Ryuuza, what do you want to see happen? Or rather, what do you think is going to happen?" he prompted in his good-natured way, eliciting a somewhat surprised response from the blue dragon. Shrugging, Ryuuza offered Clavier a small grin; he wasn't sure what was supposed to happen, but he was pretty sure that he had to pick his favorite color, associate it with a scene or happening, then things would take off from there. Attempting something like an attack or two should help with the orb-forming, much like what Requiem had managed to do.

Glad to see Ryuuza having sorted out his little problem, Clavier went back to practicing Hidden Power. For now, he would try to maintain a steady orb in terms of size and energy. When he got that down, he would attempt to either multiply them, or create a larger orb. Taking it slowly was probably the best way to go about a move that neither of them knew, yet was innate.

That's right ... what's gonna happen when I master this move? Something, or nothing?

Ryuuza found it hard to think further than approaching Hidden Power in his own way. For now, he settled on a fairly common color - blue, the blue of the skies and his skin. Right now, right here, he was thinking. Maybe if the sky was smaller, less vast, less broad, things would be easier for him to manage. Like him seeking his problems effectively before his problems sought him out and started strangling him - figuratively speaking, of course. However, he was pretty certain that some wild Pokemon would be all too glad to mutilate him beyond recognition.

To others, the sky might have been the limit, but Ryuuza thought differently. If the sky was the limit - to the Bagon, that was just setting a boundary for himself. He wanted to break through everything and do something different. Something that only Ryuuza the Bagon could do.

From the Charmander, and now to Sonata. The Shinx had settled on using her powers to stop fighting. However, it was also a little redundant in itself - to stop fighting, she had to fight! Now, that was a little confusing to the Pokemon. As long as she didn't harm them too bad ... that should be okay in itself, right? Looking at Aquos, Sonata received a calm nod from the Trainer. Aquos ruffled her Pokemon's fur lightly.

"You know, sometimes fighting isn't all about brute force, carnage and damage. Using it to maintain peace and happiness and make other Pokemon and people happy is a good thing. It's a really, really noble thing to not fight over petty matters and have patience like you do, Sonata. I like that about you," smiled Aquos, "Indeed, sometimes you have to fight, but it's called fighting back. Attacking when others attack you, to defend yourself. But do you harm them a lot? Or just to drive them off?"

"That's up to you; I know you know what your heart wants to achieve with just a small, simple word like 'peace'."

Octave was rather nervous. He had felt something, but when he opened his eyes, nothing was there! Was this some kind of supernatural apparition? Narrowing his eyes, warily, the Heracross glanced all around him and even twice at Requiem to see if something strange was going on. And his answer was: nothing. Blinking, he shut his eyes again, trying to search for the strange, weird feeling that he felt just now. He rubbed his palms together, as if his little actions would help somewhat.

"You know, sometimes haste makes waste. Just feel the flow of the attack and take it at your own pace. I mean, you don't have to jump from A to B in a split second ... Rome wasn't built in one day after all," said Aquos, beaming at her team. "Take it easy, keep your aim in mind and just hit the 'go' button. I'm pretty sure you'll be improving - did I mention what a great job you all are doing right now? Especially you, Clavier. Thanks for keeping an eye on the younger ones~"

Derping... All Day, Every Day!

Accelerando had a pretty good start after he got through the playfulness. Now, it was time to move on. The Cestar had definitely found his aim, his focus point, or his drive. Closing his eyes once more, he seemed to have lost himself within it. Maybe not completely lost, though one would wonder. As he slightly spun in place, you left him alone. Behind your back, he was slowly building up something great. In fact, it was a very good start to finding the orbs. He had built up not one orb, but two. These orbs were small, like how they started for Charmander, but for the simple fact that Cestar had popped up with two was a big deal.

Curve ~ 35%

Ryuuza, the playful Bagon. Oh, how this pokemon is going to be really strong when it gets to higher levels. Hell, it can be really strong right now. I've never seen it in a battle, so I cannot judge. Without interruptions from my rants, let's move on. Clavier offered up some help, which Ryuuza seemed to sort of push away. However, maybe taking time to examine everyone else would help? As it seemed, Clavier went right to working on his own progress after Ryuuza seemingly declined the help. Finding out that the Turtwig was making a good size orb, plus a tiny second orb showed that Ryuuza was falling behind. He closed his eyes and searched deep inside of himself. He found his aim. You could tell because an orb started to form in front of him, and slowly shook. It was building in energy, but they were still a far ways off.

Curve ~ 35%

Straight off the bat, Cadence had a dilemma. He wanted to know what made a warrior. Flashy moves, or something else? I'd say take Requiem for instance. The Zangoose loved to fight. Cadence didn't need to know what he fought for. Granted, Zangoose did know a lot of different moves, but it was the way he used them that made him a good fighter. Am I right? Cadence maybe realized that, as well. He closed his eyes and tried to built up his focus and become a warrior. With a strong drive, the orbs came easier. Cadence made a good sized one, and an alright sized second. This was close to being surpassing Clavier, but maybe equal. They're neck and neck.

Curve ~ 45%

Requiem was doing a lot of mental work. In fact, his whole train of thought seemed to center around the past, or some alternate world. Maybe a regret he has, or a secret wish. Whichever the possibility may end up to be, the truth is that the focus point he had seemed to be the strongest amongst the entire team. Zangoose tried once more. Again, he seemed to get further and further into this the more he went. Soon, the Zangoose met Clavier's standards; two orbs. But, he then went on to finding another two. Though, the third and forth were tiny, they still were there. Not just that, but they seem to rise into the air, and dance a little more. Zangoose was definitely making really good progress. And his orbs seemed to be doing something no one else's is. Are they about to reveal his inner power and type!?

Curve ~ 60%

The Shinx quietly and intently listened to you talking to her. She then went to try her attempts immediately. Fighting isn't what she liked, but you encouraged you to fight back to maintain peace. She focused on it. No doubt, she imagined herself being a hero of some sorts, right? That is what I'd think so. Either way, it drove her high enough into focus that she started to create orbs. Yes, this is what she wanted; using this move to come out on top and keep peace, justice, and safety in the world. But as she started, the orbs were multiplying, but staying very tiny. They were very small, so she must've been doing alright, but spreading her focus widely between some thoughts or so. Doing good, none the less.

Curve ~ 45%

Octave was seemingly searching for whatever it was that set off his focus. But how couldn't he know? Sadly enough, maybe he really didn't. Instead, it was surely grand of him to have been so focused on whatever to make an orb. Or is it that the feeling that something was there, and then wasn't, was distracting him from remembering? As Heracross looked to the side, he could see Requiem pulling quite far in the progress. The orbs for the Zangoose were gaining size, and slowly amount. They even showed hints of what they might be, right? Oh no, they were just dancing, which means he has a huge amount of focus. Octave was losing. It fueled him. Closing his eyes, and rubbing his hands together, maybe it could give him focus. Wrong, but what did was the thought of losing to Requiem and focusing on his hands. Around those hands formed two orbs, that started very small but over a period of time (like a minute or so,) they grew and grew. He was getting better already and didn't even know it. Luckily, he kept it going until he couldn't anymore--and did not abruptly open his eyes to see if anything was there!

Curve ~ 50%

Turtwig, as good-natured as you said, offered help to Ryuuza, but that is probably going to be covered in the Bagon's section of this ref. For now, we're going to solely focus on Turtwig, or Clavier. As the turtle closed his eyes, he aimed for just maintaining the energy and size. It wasn't too long before he had built up the focus for another orb. In fact, this time, since the Turtwig knew what he wanted, it was a little easier to get close to it. Putting more focus and energy, the Turtwig managed to keep the orb for a little longer before it started to shimmer. Struggling to hold on, Clavier actually had another orb gaining size to the side of him, which both then starting to very slowly dance to the side of him before fading.

Curve ~ 45%

Hidden Power

Now that everyone was on something of the right track, Aquos decided that she didn't need to jump around from one Pokemon to the other. Well, maybe Accelerando and Ryuuza needed some more guidance, but they were good enough for now - according to her Poketech, the progress on them was slightly above 30%, which couldn't be anything but good. The Pokemon weren't tiring yet, but she was certain that after some time, everyone would master their moves without much trouble. Right now ... what to do?

"Okay guys! Now that you've found your aim, try to form some orbs around you. The more, the better - take it like something of a competition to see who's got the most orbs ... at the same time, try thinking of what you want your Hidden Power to do. Do you want it to be fiery, cold, serious ... you get the idea."

The girl smiled at her team as she looked at each of them.

"So now! Keep up the good job, and don't let your focus break!"

Yeah, keeping up the focus. She knew from experience that it was tiring - and no, she wasn't a Pokemon or half-Pokemon. Homework and focusing weren't seen together, but they had to be. Strange analogy aside, Aquos found it surprisingly appropriate for this situation. Learning moves was like ... homework? Okay, fine, she thought to herself with a shake of her head. Whatever the case, this time, she decided to take a break and see how everyone was managing as a whole.

It was now time to focus solely on orbs, was it? That is a pretty good idea. Though, pretty much each have touched base, and while some should work on it, Requiem is getting really close to needing an element. Unless he finds it now. We'll start in order, from your profile page. Clavier was focused on helping, and being a leader. His focus was set; his orbs were good. His display might've helped Cestar and Bagon this time around, seeing how much focus you must put into it. Clavier put his heart into this round, in order to help others. But, something weird happened. His orbs were very good, and getting good size. But with size, they seemed stuck. However, they began to become more and more. Soon, Clavier's orbs had a flicker of a tinted black color, before turning into white-like orbs of energy. What was it that just happened? I can't say for sure, but it sure did seem like your Turtwig was touching base on an element!

Cadence was about the same with Turtwig the last time. Thus, he should be doing good this time. As we seen last time, he tried becoming more and more like a true warrior in his head. He figured the different moves and options he had, the better, but also how he uses them. In his focus, Cadence's orb gained size within a quicker pace. However, as time passed by, they began to spin. How he used them, right? He was someone having them slowly turn and rotate around him... something new to throw on the table.

Requiem. Enough said. This Zangoose was very far ahead of everyone else. Clavier was the one wanting to help, and keep everyone up to speed, but no matter what the Turtwig did, it always seemed to be Requiem pulling in the first. Even Octave was getting better and better. Well, Zangoose tried focusing again. His previous attempt showed us that he had a knack for moving the orbs. This time, more orbs definitely appeared. The difference, they seemed to hover higher within his focus. A slight pink-ish color shimmered within each orb. It was becoming more and more like a magic trick. Was it psychic that was Zangoose's type? Sure seemed that way. Now to make him pull in the orbs and fire them out, and also determine a rank of power.

Sonata kept thinking about how to fight back is not to fight for harm and violence. It made her smile on the inside, and feel like a hero. She began to focus, and her orbs started to come in, but you noticed something. As early as she was, this Shinx started showing you a pretty blue colored set of orbs. This is the logic I came up with. Her orbs are blue and she likes to stop fighting. What better way to stop things but freezing them, or something like it, right? Well, Shinx's orbs took the color right away and seemed to stay like that before moving around a little and fading. Whoa, Shinx is getting close. She caught right up!

In this part of the tutor, I'm grouping the similar Accelerando and Ryuuza together. As everyone began to focus, and showed off, these two may be the ones to have nothing. Working together, they tried looking at each other and began to get competitive. Not much, just a little. It might help fuel them. As both closed their eyes, they focused. Seeing Requiem's dance, and Cadence's too, with Sonata's color, these two "kiddos" were surely getting a lesson in power. Their orbs formed, and slowly grew. Then, they slowly danced around. Nothing big, but each orb covered a single foot within the minute. Progress and practice. They're getting there.

Octave. The Heracross that wanted to keep up. Well, certainly you should surprised that he does. While everyone else was doing their own thing, Heracross quickly did his own. Competing with Requiem, Heracross and him were neck and neck. Need I say more? Heracross's orbs took a tint of brown and gray at times. He was a fighting type, and he wanted to be tough. What is better then having a rock type Hidden Power? Heracross couldn't tell for sure, but he liked the idea of getting it done quicker.
