Sighing softly, Aquos watched the scene unfold. It was rather … unfavorable, but she kept quiet. Somehow or rather, she had anticipated something like this happening. Blood being shed, slashes dealt to both sides … oh well. Her Pokémon weren’t too battered, if compared to Marcus and Crescendo. The hound Pokémon had a bleeding face, while the Shinx had cuts on his face. It wasn’t looking too good for both sides, actually. Clavier had a surprised expression on his face, while Tempo just looked confused. “Tempo, catch!” Aquos said, throwing a biscuit towards the Sentret. She somewhat hoped that this biscuit would be thought of as encouragement and praise for Tempo’s fighting skills. After all, if it wasn’t for Tempo, Marcus wouldn’t have his face bleeding and probably cut up under all those fur. “Good job … let’s try again – use Fury Swipes!” she ordered. Looking at Clavier, the girl thought for a moment or two. Now that they had switched targets, with the grass-type fighting the hound and the Sentret fighting the Shinx. A smile coming to her face, she looked at Clavier before starting to speak. “Clavier, Withdraw and stay in your shell … Strike if Marcus comes in range,” she said, thinking it over. The Turtwig seemed like he was reeling from the shock, and thus, a turn of defense might actually do some good to him. Like, allowing him a moment or two to think out something on his own self; he could do it and always did. Clavier – Withdraw, Strike if Marcus comes close enough Tempo – Fury Swipes on Marcus |

Tempo quickly and happily ate the biscuit. His efforts were rewarded! Food! All the efforts, all this work, and she finally got his reward. How touching. Tempo was determined now, she had to please his trainer. Looking at Marcus with anger, it was time to finish the job. Marcus barked angrily, she was bleeding and hurt, but she was not going without a hard fight. The elderly man smiled. “Alright fellows, let’s do a little move training ourselves. Crescendo, I want you to feel the electric energy inside of you, use charge to utilize it, and then send out a bolt of electricity towards that rabid squirrel. Marcus, I want you to keep you to use your mouth to bite into anyone that gets in your way, make sure you do it with dark intentions. Now, hop to it!” Both Pokémon nodded. This doesn’t happen everyday, the opponent was teaching his Pokémon moves. Marcus barked and hurried towards Tempo, grinning evilly. It wasn’t hard for him to think of evil intentions, keeping his mind set on biting into the flesh of your dear Tempo. Tempo had different plans though. That rabid squirrel comment really got to him. Getting on her little feet, she looked at Marcus with anger. When Marcus was in range, he put his head out, and then opened his jaws ready to bite into him. Tempo found this to be the perfect opportunity to go for face. Using his claws, she tore into Marcus’ eyes interrupting the bite easily. The little attacks seemed a bit more powerful, probably because the little guy was filled with so much anger. She hit three times, then for style he turned around and stroke with his tail. Critical Hit. Marcus flew through the air from the hard strike, and landed on the ground. K. O. Clavier withdrew into his shell, but he noticed quickly that he wasn’t being attacked. A little disappointed, he just took the moment as a raise of defense. Oh well. He came out of his shell, noticing that Marcus was already out. Tempo was huffing and puffing. Both Pokémon seemed to have forgotten about Crescendo. The little guy closed his eyes, thinking of the electric power within him. Using charge as a base, he shot an electric bolt at Tempo, though it seemed way overpowered for a thundershock. Tempo, to blinded with rage took the hit, and rolled backwards. Tempo layed down for awhile, her body covered in electricity. Poor Tempo got the full attack of the overpowered thundershock, and it must have paralyzed him. Gah, it seemed that the charge attack overpowered the thundershock. Then again, Shinx aren’t even supposed to learn that naturally, but this shinx is different. Aquos blinked as the battle unfolded. Tempo was being her usual self, deadly and swift, while Clavier didn’t seem too happy about having to do defense for this round. However, as Tempo was struck, a ripple of rage flowed through the little Turtwig. As Aquos looked at him, they locked eyes for a moment, before the girl’s eyes turned to the paralyzed Sentret. “Try to get up, Tempo,” Aquos said, worry within her voice. She was definitely worried for her Pokémon, even though it was barely a day since she had got her. Looking at the brown-colored creature, she smiled encouragingly at her; Tempo needed to get up, even if it was just to defend herself: she was pretty vulnerable in this state, actually … “If you do manage to get up, use Defense Curl!” she continued. Even though it wasn’t an assault, it’d do for the time being – defending until the paralysis wore off … or until the battle ended. It was mostly up to Clavier now and Crescendo now, unless … unless, Tempo miraculously drove herself to attack the Shinx. But, that wasn’t saying that it wasn’t going to rock, big time. “Clavier, run towards Crescendo; use Tackle and Strike.” As the little turtle looked at his ally, he felt worried for her momentarily. However, the battle was more important – was it not? If he managed to bring down Crescendo, then they would be able to get Tempo back to the Pokémon Center not too far away, both him and Aquos. The nurse would then be able to take care of Tempo … yes, that was the plan. Staring at the electric Pokémon with renewed determination within his eyes, Clavier started to run towards him, head lowered. Tackle and Strike; right, that was a familiar combination … Taking care to be wary enough of any incoming lightning bolts, the Turtwig ran towards Crescendo, before trying to slam into him with his shell. If he succeeded, then he’d try smashing the Shinx’s face with his leg next, but if the Tackle backfired … well, there left only one option: withdrawing into his shell. It might seem like a cowardly thing to do, but then again, there was that saying: live to fight another day. Clavier – Run towards Crescendo, Tackle with shell. If it connects, Strike towards face; if it doesn’t, Withdraw. Tempo – trying to get up |

(check your inbox0 Clavier started to rush over to Crescendo, the plan was simple, just dodge any thundershocks that came his way, and then tackle into him, then follow up depending on the outcome. Clavier took a deep breathe, this little plan would take a lot of concentration, but it would be worth it in the end. He put his head down, to try to make himself more aerodynamic. If he didn’t want to get shocked, it would be a good idea to increase his mobility and speed a little. Meanwhile, Tempo slowly rolled over; it was really tough for her to get any muscles to respond, not to mention painful. With a little whimper, she managed to get on her feet. She tried to do a defense roll, but her paralyze kicked in. She moaned, she didn’t want to fight anymore. It was obvious she was spent, hopefully Clavier can handle things. The old geezer put his hand on his chin and smiled, obviously pleased with Thundershock’s results. “Alright Crescendo! Now that I know you can get the power easy, let’s do it again, this time, divide the electricity into three blasts!” he ordered, with an evil grin on his face. Crescendo gave a battle cry, charging up electrical energy. With a lot of focus, he shot two of the three shocks at Clavier, a couple of seconds apart. The little Turtwig smiled, He quickly dodged to the right, the first shock missed by a good margin. After the second was in range, Clavier dodged back to the left, making it miss as well. Crescendo, a little irritated with his aim and Clavier’s dodging ability, let the last shock out with a little extra power. It traveled through the air much more quickly then the first two, catching little Clavier off guard. It was almost already there! With the distance he covered and the speed of the bolt, there was almost no time to dodge! Clavier his best to get out of the way, but instead hastily tripped on his own foot, and rolled forward onto his back. Surely enough, Thundershock had hit its mark, and Clavier winced as he went into his shell. The momentum took over, pushing him closer and closer to Crescendo. Though he had still gotten hurt from the shock, he was practically a speeding hockey puck, and Crescendo didn’t know how to react. The shell slammed into the electric Pokémon, sending him back behind his trainer. He hit the ground hard, and shrieked with the pain from the blow and fall. Clavier came out of his shell, that last attack had done a lot of damage to the little Shinx, but something was wrong. Clavier couldn’t get up! Oh boy, this could be a big problem. You better hope he can manage to get up before Crescendo does, otherwise you’ll be in for some bad news. As the Pokétech on her wrist beeped again, Aquos couldn’t help but feel a tad annoyed at its reaction. Was it prompting her to buy another lottery? Or was it something else? Blinking, she tapped one of the buttons with controlled fury; she was glad she remembered which button it was when fiddling. She’d hate to think what she would do to the horridly pink (at that moment it was looking pretty horrid, actually) device when she wasn’t able to control her emotions. When the message screen finally popped up, there were two new messages: one concerning the darned lottery, and the other, a trade offer. Well, it wasn’t as much a trade offer … she had no idea that the previous owner had inquired for a trade, since Aquos was pretty sure that she hadn’t been searching for trades to make. Anyway, the trade offer seemed reasonable to her: 50$ and the Toxic TM (she had absolutely no idea how that got into her inventory) that she didn’t have a use for right now for a Teddiursa. Wait … the Teddiursa in the trade was a Pokémon … Even if it was a little wrong to switch Pokémon like this, desperate times called for desperate measures, and she figured that the arrival of the trade Pokémon would bring a new twist to the battle at hand. Fiddling with the buttons for a moment, Aquos cringed slightly at Tempo’s cry – the Sentret was evidently in some pain … Trade complete, initializing transfer! The text on the watch read as above, and it wasn’t long before the trade was complete. Apparently, the person on the other hand was eager for the Toxic TM, Aquos supposed. Well, it was good for both sides, she reckoned. With a little grin, the new Pokémon had been transferred over; the money and TM gone in its stead. “Right, it’s time for a new twist,” Aquos called out as she held the Pokéball within her hand, tossing it up and down calmly. “Canon, you’re up!” Emerging from the Pokéball was a small bear, a moon-shaped symbol on his forehead. Yawning cutely, he locked eyes with Clavier for a moment, before hurrying over, next to Tempo. Slapping her paw calmly with his own, he smiled at her as he turned to face Clavier and Crescendo, who were duking it out, one with the power of thunder, and the other, brute force. “Ursa!” he chirped, standing by the sides as the duo smashed each other with shells and shocks. After the turn had ended, it seemed that both sides were a little worn out, with the Turtwig struggling to get up like his ally, and the Shinx shrieking from the unexpected pain that his foe had given him. Well, it seemed like time to kick in … “Good job, both of you …” Aquos said, looking at Clavier and Tempo. Drawing out a Pokéball, she returned the Sentret to her confines within the Pokéball. Now, the battle seemed to have escalated into its final stages, and the arrival of a new combatant resulted in a slightly suspicious turtle. Crescendo’s feelings were unknown to the female Trainer, but she figured that it would be somewhere along rage … or something else. She didn’t know. Thinking, Aquos suddenly snapped her fingers. “Got it – Canon, Fake Tears and Lick; Clavier, stand up, if you can’t, try Razor Leaf towards Crescendo’s bleeding face,” she ordered, hoping that it would be enough for this turn. She didn’t really want to knock out Crescendo; he seemed like a great fighter … and besides, she had knocked out Marcus. Clavier – trying to get up, attempting Razor Leaf Tempo – returned to Pokéball (I’m assuming she still gets EXP) Canon – Fake Tears followed by Lick |

The old man seemed to be too preoccupied with the battle at hand to notice that you'd initiated a trade during the whole thing. This was probably just as well, for although there's no law about receiving a new Pokémon in the middle of a battle, you knew from your experience with Tempo that it was mostly frowned upon. So, the less that guy knows, the better. As you released you new Pokémon onto the battle field, there was a moment of recognition between the Teddiursa and Tempo. Perhaps they had met before, or perhaps they were both just pleased to see another soft brown fuzzy thing nearby, but whatever the case, they both seemed to be getting off on the right foot. This is a major plus for you, because Pokémon who work well with each other are far more likely to succeed in their joint ventures. Just be careful not to let Clavier feel excluded or jealous of the other two, because the one thing you do not want is any turmoil in your team. Anyway, let's get back to the battle. As Tempo disappeared into a flash of light and Canon heard your orders, the bear seemed to figure out who was on who's side, so rushed forward to help Clavier back onto his feet. The Turtwig nodded his thanks and started to charge up for another Razor Leaf attack, while the Shinx on the other side of the battle field had decided to take up arms with the newcomer. In a flurry of blue and black fur, Crescendo came charging towards Canon, fur still crackling with electricity from the last attack. Leaping into the air, the lion cub performed a spectacular tackle attack, knocking the teddy bear to the ground. The two rolled around in the dirt for a moment, exchanging various blows, but finally they seperated, and that's when the show began. In a spectacular display of acting, Canons bottom lip began to quiver, and then he dropped to a sitting position quite suddenly. That's when the tears began to flow. If you didn't know better, you'd have been completely fooled by this display of emotion, for it felt for all the world as though Canon was being totally sincere. Well, Crescendo was fooled, and that's all that mattered. Something inside the electric Pokémon twanged when he saw the waterworks, and that's when the battle tipped, ever so much, in your favor. With the major drop in the Shinx's special defense, Clavier struck. Releasing his much practiced energy, a few leaves flew in Crescendo's direction. As they flew sat you saw the tufts of fur where they had struck fall away from the creature and hear a yelp of pain from him, then it was as good as over. Canon darted forward and executed the ghostly lick attack, leaving Crescendo down for the count. The old trainer opposite you scowled. "Unbelievable!" he spat, then fished a few notes from his pocket and dropped it on the ground by his feet. At least he was gracious enough to hand over the prize money, but it only looked like around $60. You'd think a guy in a suit like that would be able to afford a little bit extra, but I guess he's still pretty angry with you, so you'd better just be thankful that you got anything. "We'll meet again, Missie. You owe me a new suit!" With those words, the man returned both of his unconscious Pokémon, and strode away, leaving you standing there alone. Once again, her Pokétech beeped. How awesome, Aquos thought sarcastically. The trade was a plus point in Pokétech messaging, but now … she was betting that it was the lottery thing again – and she was right. This lottery event seemed to be a repetitive one; quite often at that. With a small smile, she fingered the new money she just got in her pocket, and bought a few numbers just for fun. One ticket only, though … she didn’t need to spend so much in one go – this was just a game of chance and luck, and that was all. The odds were pretty much stacked against her, anyway.
After inputting the following numbers, Aquos proceeded to walk over to Clavier, taking good care to ignore the retreating figure of the old coot. “Clavier, are you okay?” she asked, gently tapping the turtle Pokémon on his head. With a warm smile, she picked him up and into his arms. Even though he was slightly heavier than Tempo had been when she clambered unto her, there wasn’t anything wrong about that. Even though Clavier wasn’t hers to be, she felt like it was normal to have a bit more affection for her first Pokémon. “Come on; let’s head to the Pokémon Center.” Turning to look at Canon and nodding, she started to backtrack towards the red-roofed building. She’d been there not too long ago, so she still remembered where it was. The Nurse on duty at that time was James’s wife; she remembered how Clavier and Tempo had fought against that spoilt husband. The roof soon came into view as the party neared it. The mechanised doors sliding open, Aquos and her Pokémon companions stepped into the structure. With a smile, Nurse Joy (presumably a different one from before; the teenager never knew how to differentiate between them) asked for her Pokémon for healing like before. Setting three Pokéballs and giving Canon a hand up to the counter, she sank back into a couch as she waited for the required time to pass. As the familiar cry and chirp from Clavier sounded once again, the girl knew that he and his team-mates were as good as gold once again. The nurses somehow or rather always made their magic work … nothing as good as good ol’ TLC, right? Jumping off the counter happily, Canon landed on the ground like the natural performer he was, one hand raised in the air and another on the ground. With a small smile on her face, Aquos watched the Teddiursa stand up with a little twist, and Tempo sniff around her for some biscuits. Giving her Pokémon some cookies to go around, they set out from the Pokémon Center, but not without a sentence or two from them thanking the pink-haired nurse. Tempo sitting on her shoulder; Clavier and Canon walking together, she stepped out into the open, once again. Edited by Aquos, May 5 2009, 03:08 AM.

Detective Extraordinaire

And what a beautiful day it was! It was kind of weird for you to suddenly notice it, but there was absolutely no cloud in the sky, and the deep, ocean blue shade was very soothing to your eyes. It's very rare to see a better day, especially considering you were standing in a town infamous for its industrialized nature. However, there was a flaw in this apparently perfect day. You had nothing to do. It was kind of ironic really, considering you would think those on the road would be filled with stuff to do. But no, nothing was on your agenda. Yet, anyway. What to do though, that was the question. There was plenty of sights to see in a big city like Millenia, that is if you like seeing manufacturing and factory smog. You had a more interesting notion though. You decided that looking for wild Pokémon would be the way to go. Afterall, nothing is more beneficial to a trainer's career than fighting potential new partners. Being in a city kind of helped your cause too, since certaintly there would be unique species crawling around the city. You walked away from the Pokécenter and on down the road. The streets were busy and alive with people moving back and forth to work or home, some on lunch breaks or others just starting their shift. Every time you passed an alley you investigated it, usually turning up with nothing more than abandoned garbage dumpsters or puddles of tainted water. Everytime you passed a town square you surveyed it, finding nothing more than beggers playing guitars or grass half-dead from the semi-toxic atmosphere. How strange it was to not find even the most common of Urban dwelling creatures roaming the streets. Then, things looked up. Down a particular alley in the bowels of the city, you happened upon a congregation of the missing vagrants, a circle of Meowth and Glameow (with the occasional Grimer) seated around a rather large and robust specimen of Glameow. The giant cat was obviously a leader of somesort, or maybe just one of those fanatics that preach about endtimes. It kept drolling on, not that you could make any sense of it, and all the Pokémon around it intently listened (or so it seemed from your perspective). It seemed you had stumbled upon the perfect place to train, catch or do whatever you trainer types do to poor unsuspecting creatures. I wouldn't try to catch/fight the larger Glameow though, it really isn't worth your time. Possible Enemies Lv.6 37/37 100% Lv.7 39/39 100% Lv.7 39/39 100% Lv.8 41/41 100% Lv.9 43/43 100%Neutral Pokémon Lv.??? ??? ???[Cannot Capture] [Cannot Fight] ((I probably went a little overboard with the spawns, but I figured you'd like to choose what you fight, so there's plenty to pick from. The rest can just run away when you start the fight.)) |

What was bad about this perfect day was that there was absolutely nothing to do. Well, it wasn’t like zero, zilch and nada, but rather, there was nothing that concerned her. Ever determined to find something to do, Aquos walked away from the Pokémon Center, her Pokémon in tow. Looking around her, she found nothing but stuff that didn’t interest her. She found that there was absolutely nothing to do, whether it was battles or just a random errand or two. Glancing at her Pokémon, Aquos found that the Sentret was slightly bored, but wasn’t up to the extent of being irritated. Clavier was being his usual independent self, looking around occasionally to sniff out (not really, more like scouting) whatever might lurk in puddles or shadows. Down in an alley, his general helpfulness was rewarded when a big group of Pokémon was ready and available for battle. Well, that was just an assumption, but since there was a rather nice amount of Pokémon around, Aquos stopped, listening to the Glameow preaching to her subordinates. She wasn’t really up to a fight, but Canon had slipped his paw out of hers, sucking on the other more violently. It seemed that he was interested in fighting one of them, but Aquos decided not to make a move as of yet. If anything, they might just try ganging up on her, and then she wasn’t sure if she was able to handle it with only three Pokémon. Maybe she could just lure away some of the Pokémon so that they could gang up on it … “Okay, here’s the plan: Tempo, use Razor Leaf twice, on both the Meowth. Tempo and Canon, Fury Swipe them when they notice the Razor Leaf coming towards them,” Aquos said. This style of fighting wasn’t too hard, actually. In fact, if the teenager was right, the Meowth would have ample time to respond … and maybe ignite the start of a potentially huge (not to mention lopsided) fight. Clavier was starting to get bored, to tell the truth, no matter what his Trainer was thinking. However, for the sake of her, he continued to look down an alleyway – aha! He saw what he wanted; a group of Pokémon. Even though he could barely make out what they were saying, he stood where he was, until Aquos finally came back to him. The two fuzzy brown Pokémon came to his sides, watching the scene with equal interest as well. Telling his comrades to take them out after he lured them, the little twig on the turtle’s head started to spin as he wiggled them, firing twin leaves twice, one towards the Meowth and the other, towards the other Meowth like Aquos had told him to. However, what happened next was completely out of order. Instead of waiting for the Razor Leaf to lure to two Meowth, Tempo had charged forwards, slicing through thin air at the male Glameow, before lunging at him with Fury Swipes. She had no patience to wait for the beige cat to come to her; she might as well start heckling at one of the blue-tinged ones. With a shrill cry or two, she started to try slashing at him with her claws. Completely and utterly confused, the Teddiursa blinked, but got ready to fight as well. He was going to fight one of the Meowth, together with Clavier. Smiling at his companion, the bear Pokémon raised a claw, waiting for the chance to strike. Clavier – Razor Leaf on the two Meowth Tempo – Fury Swipes on male Glameow Canon – Waiting to strike with Fury Swipes on one of the Meowth |

Popple ftw

A fresh fight. Just what I like. And let's not forget you started the fight, so backing out would only look sissy! Meh, you were prepared for battle, although you just left one. Let's see how things turn out for Clavier and friends. Clavier fired off his twin leaves. So far, so good, right? Well, the leaves were sent scurrying after the twin cats. One leaf slashed and scratched the female Meowth. She growled like a very violent cat-- although it sounded more like a lion-- and ducked down to pounce. Perhaps Clavier wasn't getting off so easily. Her partner, and what seemed to be mate, male of a Meowth easily dodged his attacking leaf. After side-stepping to the right, the cat dashed forward and landed a perfect scratch attack on Clavier. Thank Arceus his defense isn't half-bad, because two-on-one isn't a good thing. Glameow watched Clavier intently, possibly predicting if it will strike him. The little cat wasn't paying any attention, and to his dismay, found himself getting caught up in Tempo's barrage of scratches from Fury Attack. Slashing with his right paw, Tempo ninja-rolled around Glameow to his backside and one-two scratched his back, this time leaving three small red marks. Glameow whined with pain and reached back to claw Sentret, but found the little scout Pokemon behind him yet again, this time unleashing a one claw attack. Four hits wasn't bad, considering there's only five strikes possible. Pissed, Glameow seized the opportunity and boom, Tempo was holding his face with his left paw. Seems this is a fast Pokemon, and could be a threat in the future. Canon, on the other hand, jumped in next to Clavier. Ready for battle, the little bear Pokemon growled cutely, but not an official Growl attack, and jump-slashed the female Meowth. She seemed angry, but was quite the warrior, and counter-attacked with her own Scratch. The Teddiursa took the hit like a soldier and side-rolled to the Meowth's left side and freed some flesh from the little cat's neck. She winced with pain, but didn't let it get to her. Teddiursa attempted one last scratch in his Fury Strike attack, but the female Meowth parried and through the small bear Pokemon to the ground. There was a dull thud sound as Canon's head smacked the ground, but the little bear stood up and endured the pain. The remaining Pokemon, that being the two female Glameow and the Grimer, just simply watched the battle from a safe distance of 30 feet. Meaning, the group of Pokemon weren't going to join the fight any time soon. Lucky you, you just shimmied your way out of battling three other Pokemon. You glanced there way as they started to stand near a telephone pole, and on that pole was a battle poster. “Alright, guys and girls,” Aquos said, watching the fight. It wasn’t going too good for her team, but in a battle and life as a Trainer, there were the inevitable ups and downs. And this was definitely one of the downs. If only Tempo hadn’t gone picking on the other cat, they’d have an easier time. However, if there was someone to blame, it was Aquos and Aquos alone. She’d forgotten to consider the Sentret’s rather impatient personality, and as a result, they were now in a three-on-three battle. Thinking over the options that she had right now, the girl then snapped her fingers and nibbled on a biscuit. “All three of you, attack the Glameow – Clavier, use Tackle with your shell, and try biting it; Tempo and Canon, Fury Swipes,” said the female, nodding at them. She saw Clavier shifting to start tackling the other cat, and wondered if her decision was really the right one. With all the combatants moving about, it really was one crazy battlefield. Either way, she had an eye on the male Glameow, figuring that he’d be a good companion to have along the way, and should the need arise, she can trade him off for something else. However, having a mostly Normal-typed team wasn’t the best, so Aquos was considering the fact that she needed some diversity in her team. Well, that problem could be thought of later … right? Upon hearing the command to bite, Clavier tried to envision how Tempo was bitten by Marcus. The vile feelings of darkness needed to be put into it, and the Turtwig, frankly, was having a little trouble. However, as he thought of it more, he felt that somehow, since Tempo was bitten, he needed to emulate it to remind her that rushing in would bring no good to either of them. Well, the main thing now was to attack – there was no point waiting for the Glameow to attack before he did, anyway. Clavier – Tackle with shell, attempting a bite Tempo – Fury Swipes Canon – Fury Swipes Edited by Aquos, May 11 2009, 06:16 AM.

Your all-on-one strategy is a smart one. Well, it would be if there weren't two other opponents to contend with. Tempo and Canon looked at each other and smiled. They ran in with perfect synchronization, speeding towards their target. The Glameow, bracing himself for impact, shouted some orders to the two Meowth. He must be some kind of authority figure. The two cats smiled and nodded. They looked at Clavier sinisterly. The turtle didn't know what to expect, but he was preparing for some sneaky attack. The two cats each dove for Clavier, who started shrinking into his shell for protection. It wasn't a traditional Withdraw attack, but it did help a little. Suddenly, when the cats got to him, he pushed off from his hind legs and slammed into them with his shell! The cats were stunned, not prepared for the attack. Looks like the shell-Tackle was a great success, albeit on the wrong targets. The two Meowth fell to the ground, dazed. Clavier then ran to help his comrades. Tempo and Canon each ran to one side of the Glameow, who was bracing himself by spreading out his body, making himself look bigger. When Tempo went to scratch him, he dove at her, and she shied away. Canon would take this as a chance to go in for his own scratches. He'd swipe at him a couple times, then back away when the cat retaliated. Tempo would use this distraction to make an attack of her own. And so they danced. By the end, Tempo had gotten in four scratches, Canon three. The Glameow looked up after the assault to see Clavier dive at the Meowth and knock them both down with one attack. He snarled when he saw the turtle run for him. As Clavier got to him he swiped his claw at him, attempting a Scratch. Clavier opened his mouth and bit down hard on the claw's arm. The Glameow shrieked and yanked his arm away, teeth marks evident on the cat's small arms. He glared at Clavier with ferocity and dove in for a powerful Scratch to the face. Clavier wasn't expecting the attack and it threw him off guard. He stepped back a bit and shook his head, shaking away the pain. The bite he'd given was a strong bite, but not exactly dark enough to be called a true Bite. He needed to not just bite, but he needed to feel the desire to do evil to the Glameow. With the attack came dark energy, and to access that energy, one has to feel and think dark. For Clavier to successfully Bite, he might need to tap into his inner evil. The two Meowth got up and looked pissed. They stood at Clavier's back, a few feet behind him. Clavier and the Glameow were facing each other with Tempo and Canon behind the Glameow on either side of him. From where you were standing, your three Pokemon were making a triangle around Glameow, with Clavier at the bottom, Tempo at the top left, and Canon on the top right. The two Meowth, looking more angry than ever, were awaiting orders from their Glameow leader. Aquos decided to leave her Pokémon to their own devices for this turn, and decidedly ignored the beeping Pokétech. With an air of calmness around her, she rummaged around in her waist-pouch, before drawing out a Pokéball. Once the Glameow was down, she would capture it just like she planned, before waiting for the other two cats to fall. Standing where he was, the little Turtwig glared on at the scene, summoning whatever evil intent he had within his soul to unleash the fury that was Bite. The pain that the cat had caused him … he will pay it back, double. Clavier reared backwards slightly, his eyes narrowed in a glare at the blue-furred cat. The Scratch attack had left marks on his face, making him wish that he could give something back in return for the little ‘gift’. He dashed forwards, barreling towards the Glameow with intense ferocity. He was going to show that darned cat what people get for hurting him! Putting a little skip into his step for the extra momentum, the turtle Pokémon envisioned how Marcus had bit into Tempo, and the hurt that he had seen on her face, even though it was brief. He wanted the Glameow to feel that same pain too. Opening his mouth, he tried to chomp on the kitty. And if he did, he wasn’t going to let go. He wanted pain; he wanted pain to surge through the cat like nothing else mattered. Canon was panting slightly after the team attack with his fellow brown fuzzy. Having Tempo by his side, fighting, was actually encouraging, in a way. He regarded her as his big sister after all. As Clavier dashed in, breaking his part of the triangle, the little bear sat down where he was, and slammed his honey-coated paw on the ground. Sucking on his other paw, he sniffed very unhappily. Blinking his eyes, he tried to turn away from them like a child would when he didn’t want his tears to be seen. A true actor like before, he let the tears flow, but he was crying silently. With a shudder, he started crying, sniffling punctuating his sobs. He seemed genuinely unhappy with the situation at hand and getting ganged-up upon. Canon stared, watery-eyed at Tempo, tears still falling from his face. And when either of the cats was touched, he’d give them another swipe across the face with Scratch. Frankly, Tempo couldn’t bother any more. With Clavier trying to wage war on the kitties and Canon starting up the waterworks, she had to do something. Standing on her tail once again, the Scout Pokémon hopped off her perch, before pawing at the ground. Building up immense speed, she felt the energy pumping within her veins before a smile crossed her face. With a cry, she sped forwards and in the direction of the Glameow. She was sure that she would reach before Clavier did, due to her sheer speed and the Turtwig’s weight. The cat wouldn’t know what hit him in the face, but it was gonna hurt. And Tempo loved being fast and furious. Clavier – attempting Bite on Glameow Canon – Fake Tears and Scratch on any of the cats Tempo – Quick Attack and Fury Swipes on Glameow |

What better orders were there than those granted by instinct and nature, eh? For your sake, let's hope so. Tempo was speeding fast towards Glameow, much faster than Clavier. The cat wasn't expecting such speed and was knocked off his feet. Clavier was shocked himself at his partner's speed, but continued his charge nonetheless. Tempo gave two fast Swipes before diving away. Glameow roared more orders to the two Meowth before getting up. He got up just as Clavier got to him, the turtle's eyes full of darkness. Truly he was not himself, but a much darker version of himself. Clavier chomped down hard on Glameow, Biting him hard somewhere around the middle of his body. The darkness he felt all transfered into the form of a powerful aura seeping in through the Bite wounds. Yes, he had done it. The cat was in quite some pain from the attack, unable to get back up. He was fully knocked out. Well, he was still conscious but unable to fight back. Clavier, feeling satisfied with himself, turned to see his friends being pummeled by the two Meowth. Angry once more, he dove in and Bit the female one quite painfully on the tail. She turned around and hissed, but did not attack. What had happened while he was fighting the Glameow? Approximately 30 seconds ago Canon's sobbing and crying had convinced Tempo, so why not the two Meowth? The two of them looked at the sobbing bear and the male one started to feel a bit sorry for him. Then he heard his leader's orders. "Snap out of it, that bear is nothing but a weakling human sympathizer!" When he heard Glameow's words he snapped right out of it, but his special defense was severely weakened. Mentally slapping himself for falling for such a farce, he went into the fray. His female friend had just rolled her eyes, unaffected by the Fake Tears. She was interested in hurting that Sentret. She ran at Tempo as the little scout Pokemon was bounding away from Glameow and gave her a Scratch across the face. Tempo was pissed. She was about to give the cat a Fury Swipes, but Canon rose up and started slashing at her! He hit her four times across the chest, knocking her back a bit. The male Meowth ran in anger and gave Canon two Scratches, one to his shoulder, the second to his chest. This was around the time that Clavier Bit the female, so we're all caught up. Well, the Glameow was down and ready to be caught, the female Meowth was tiring but still full of anger and will to fight, and the male Meowth was still going strong, but weak to special attacks. What are you going to do? You could let your Pokemon act on their own again, but their instincts might not see what you do from a trainer's perspective. For instance, when Clavier used Bite on the female Meowth's tail it looked like it did critical damage. But it's your call. “Great job, all of you – and of course, congratulations on learning Bite, Clavier,” Aquos said, smiling as she clicked the button on the Pokéball with her thumb. “Tempo, fall back and listen up: Canon dove in before you did. What are you going to do about it?” she prompted the scout Pokémon, smiling at her. Without waiting for a response, she threw the Pokéball at the knocked out Glameow. Another addition to her team … but sadly, it was another normal-typed Pokémon. It seemed that it was time to search for Pokémon with elemental affinities. In an overall sense, the turn went pretty well, with Clavier unleashing his inner darkness, Tempo fighting fast and furious, and Canon, uh, getting provoked, but making full use of his allotted time. “Clavier, you know what to do – Razor Leaf on the Meowth, and try to take full advantage of his lowered Special Defense. Tempo, you’re going to cut up the female Meowth together with Canon. You need to cut, not swipe and with rising intensity,” the Trainer said, deciding to work on Fury Cutter while the iron was still hot. “Now, get going!” With a calm air, she proceeded to buy several numbers for the weekly lottery. It was fun, in a way, but damaging to her wallet. Oh well, she got to win some and lose some anyway.
And so, the male Meowth was all his. A smirk on his face, the Turtwig took a step back and fired several leaves at the cat Pokémon. If only he could do this better and stronger, then their team would be unstoppable. With Canon and Tempo providing frontline assaults, he could hack at their targets with ranged techniques, and yet, he wasn’t just a sitting duck. He had the defenses to actually make it work. Well, right now, there was nothing to do but fire leaves like he just did at the Meowth in an attempt to weaken him just enough for the two brown-colored Pokémon to claw, smash and cut to bits. Actually, Tempo was pretty darn pleased with herself. Having stunned the Glameow with her speed and ferocity, she successfully distracted him enough from the bigger show – Clavier – with flying colors, so to speak. However, as she got ready to launch another assault at the other kitty, something got into Canon as he slashed furiously at his target. Slightly defeated, the Sentret glared at her fellow fighter. Annoyance was flooding her, but as Aquos had told her to, decided to actually cut the weaker Meowth up. Deciding which arm was stronger was no problem, but the problem was with the term ‘rising intensity’. By that, did it mean stronger and faster, or stronger and more brutal? A thousand and one curiosities popped into the Sentret’s head, but by then she was already trying to hack at the Meowth. Naturally, upon hearing that he was going to follow what Tempo was doing, it made Canon significantly happier. Deciding to follow up on cutting at the Meowth, the Teddiursa hopped closer to the Sentret, before blinking. He was pretty sure his imitating and acting skills would come in handy here. Of course, if the attack didn't bring along any significant effect, he'd drop straight out of it and give the cat a pretty scar.
