![]() Headbutt Darn, that was quick. In the short span of fifteen minutes, almost all of her Pokemon had managed to learn Headbutt. Elegy too, had managed to learn the move successfully. Almost all of the Pokemon were returned to their Pokeballs, for tutoring was usually tiring. Aquos felt slightly worried for Cadence; she was pushing him to learn Headbutt, and truth be told, she wouldn't be surprised if he suddenly fell over, tired, from the battle and all the tutoring. At least Headbutt was directly on the halfway mark for the Charmander ... it'd soon be over. She too, caught Cadence staring at Elegy through slightly tired eyes - did he just see how she did it? Perhaps yes, perhaps not. But if he did ... good! "Cadence, I want you to try to run towards the tree, a little more carefully this time. But before that, have a Pecha Berry ... I think it helps with your energy. I'm not sure about this, actually, but no harm with a Pecha Berry! That and the sweetness should make the pain go away." The Charmander took the berry and stared at it for a moment. A berry ... a Pecha Berry, to be specific. He popped it into his mouth without much thought or care for the flavor, then turned back to Aquos. "... basically, start running practice towards the tree and make sure you don't overshoot the tree. Use Focus when you're almost up to the tree to raise your Attack, then smash your head against the tree. Make sure your Focus is on your head, like how you did with the Focus on your tail for Counter. Other than that ... I can't really say anything much, since you're doing a really good job, Cadence!" She smiled at him. Cadence didn't need to know that she was tired of all the tutoring. "Cadence, make sure you practice a few more times and see these images I downloaded not too long ago if you need some help." And regardless of whether Headbutt was completed, Aquos would start heading towards Millenia, Clavier walking by her side and Maestro running around her and climbing some trees. Sometimes he went a little ahead of them and smirked as he waited for them to come up to him. As they walked, Clavier kept an eye out for a Pokemon Elegy could battle, like Aquos told him to. Used a Pecha Berry. Practiced Headbutt (Cadence). Started towards Millenia. Clavier is on the lookout for a wild Pokemon for Elegy. Edited by Aquos, Jan 14 2011, 04:05 AM.

Joukai Pass and Headbutt [ Learned ]Charmander took the Berry! He ate it quickly, but felt no effect. That’s strange. Well, no it isn’t, in a way. Your Poketech beeped, and the page was pulled up on Pecha Berries… they heal Poison. Charmander got something in his stomach, at least. Trying again, he seemed to have it down. His previous attempt made him cautious to not lift his head too much. The area he hit was pushed in with heavy force. He learned it, with no problem When you finished off the tutor, you started for Millenia. Clavier scouted ahead for any possible candidates for Lapras. Her level was fresh, being just born a while ago and having no real combat training. It may be hard for her to win the first battle. But then, fortunately, luck was on your side. Or was it? In the distance, a pokemon with four legs and a pale body was standing, eating grass. Your Turtwig bumped your leg, and nudged you in the direction. It had been a Ponyta! Though, it was a little strong for Lapras, if you just have a fast pokemon keep it distracted, I am sure Lapras can pull off a nice win. Lv.5 *Believe me… if you win, you will NOT be disappointed. |

"Great job, Cadence," the girl told the Charmander. Cadence grinned back at her, panting slightly; he was tired from everything, and after all the tutoring, he was pretty much ready to collapse. Thankfully, the Pecha Berry had helped somewhat. Aquos returned the reptile to his Pokeball, allowing him some time to get rested before they finally healed up in Millenia's Pokemon Center. "Well, let's start going, Clavier." The Turtwig walked by the girl, glancing around as the girl stifled a yawn. Even though there was supposed to be a shortcut between Joukai Pass and Millenia Town, by foot, it was a long journey. There was no Genbu to help function as transportation this time, and it was up to her to travel by foot. Soon, Clavier nudged her leg. "What's up, Clavier?" The Turtwig nodded in a particular direction. Aquos' eyes fell on the Ponyta, and she nodded. It would be a good match for Elegy, indeed it would be ... especially since the Lapras held the upper hand with Water Gun. She retrieved Elegy's Pokeball and launched it into the air - in a flash of light, the aquatic animal emerged on the pitch. "Elegy, that is a Ponyta. It's a fire-type and you should be able to handle it, I believe. If things go bad, Clavier will help you." The patient Pokemon nodded. "So start off with a Sing, then fire two Water Guns at it regardless of whether it falls asleep. You have to be patient and keep your cool so your attacks don't miss, alright?" Elegy: Sing, Water Gun x2 |

Joukai Pass Finding this Ponyta could very well be one of the best things happening in a little bit. Besides getting tons of tutors out of the way, and getting a Sableye, your Lapras can gain a lot of experience from this fight. Though, she has been tutored, her actual combat skills may not be the best. First off, Sing. The Lapras had a natural act for singing, but yours never probably used it against another pokemon. Starting with her melody, the Lapras seemed a little hesitant. Nonetheless, she worked her Exploring further, Elegy found the strength to really shoot water at a pokemon. The first Water Gun was very good, and worked better than a different course of moves. And then another! It was quite the round! Lapras had put it to sleep, causing it to be unable to cause damage to it. Luckily, you and Clavier both knew how it would go down, and covered your ears prior. But the Water Gun was a nice move to use, so now, it was up to the next round, and hoping it didn’t wake up then. You Lv.1 27 / 27 | 87%3 Move Used Enemy Lv.5 23 / 35 | 100%Sleep | 40% to Wake |

Elegy was pretty good at her Water Gun, despite being still being something of a newborn. Clearly, the previous target practice both Aquos and the Lapras had done while learning Ice Shard had done some good. What topped it off was the effective Sing, making Ponyta unable to attack for the round, thus preventing damage to the aquatic animal. Well, that was good and all, but Aquos was more worried about the next round, where anything could happen, such as the Ponyta waking up. And anything would strike back when struck ... especially a wild Pokemon. "Well, we've had a good round, so we'll start this one off with a Water Gun as well. If Ponyta wakes up, use Sing again to put it to sleep," Aquos told Elegy. "But if it doesn't, go for another Water Gun!" The Lapras thought about her orders for a bit. Using Sing was no problem, but why she had to do it again puzzled her. Despite that, she proceeded to gather water within her body, then accelerating it before attempting to use Water Gun. But since the fire-type was still asleep, she figured that it wouldn't hurt to strike first, then decide what to do next. It wasn't like her Trainer didn't give her an alternative to the events that may or may not transpire. Water Gun, Sing (if Ponyta wakes up) Water Gun x2 (if Ponyta doesn't wake up) |

Joukai Pass Despite what happens in the first few moments of the round, Lapras gathered water. Ponyta’s body began to twitch more than usual, but that was just it getting closer and closer to waking up. As the Water Gun fired from the water type’s mouth, Ponyta’s now stiff body had been doused, easily. A wild twitch scared Lapras, resulting in an early Water Gun! Luckily, the Ponyta did not wake up, though it is safe to assume it will in the next round! Not much seemed to be going on. Ponyta being asleep set a dull setting for this battle, as it was the only one around. Surely, Elegy would get a good bundle of experience in combat for this, and then was it off to Millenia? If so, it was finally time to reach the town, and not be stuff in the woods or dirt path areas. *Sorry… Short ref for not so much going on. Tell me when you exactly want to start the plot. The Ponyta was asleep, taking damage, and generally being idle while Elegy attacked it over and over again with Water Gun. Repetitive, it was, but the returns were without a doubt, going to be great. Aquos watched on as Elegy, still by her side with Clavier, continued her assault upon the flame pony. The teenager exhaled lightly as she nodded towards the Lapras. "We should be able to knock out the Ponyta this round ... we should, technically," she smiled, "And I'll capture it, if she doesn't have a Trainer ..." If the Ponyta did have a Trainer, it wouldn't be running around and eating grass all by its lonesome. And besides, a Trainer-owned Pokemon wouldn't be this dull; at the very least, it would be able to retaliate with a move or two ... but when Aquos went back and reanalyzed the situation, she came to a realization that the Ponyta was simply asleep, and because of that, didn't really get to do anything. Oh well, back to the fight. "Elegy, finish it off with two Water Guns, even if it wakes up, use Water Gun," she ordered, and the Lapras nodded in response. Two Water Guns, just like before. It wouldn't be too hard, but the question would be whether the Ponyta fainted from the two attacks. Even if it didn't, it would be really, really weak. By her side, Clavier stood, ready to distract the Ponyta if she did wake up by pacing around and generally making a lot of noise. Anything to prevent Elegy from taking more damage, in all honesty. Water Gun x2 If faint, attempt capture Edited by Aquos, Jan 19 2011, 02:25 AM.

Millenia Town Lapras gained 50 ![]() Lapras grew to Level 9 Lapras has 5 left over!Ponyta gained 1 ![]() Lapras was able to get in two quick Water Guns. The first had nearly woken the Ponyta up. The up rise of determination for winning in Lapras began to shine through, as she unleashed the second Water Gun. Since it had apparently fainted, you tossed a Pokeball, that seemed to soar through the air slowly. What a scene. Anyway~ the Ponyta was engulfed by a crimson light, and absorbed into the sphere, where it let a ting noise go, confirming it had been caught. Moving on, you found the path to Millenia. The Pokemon Center was a must-first-stop for you. Healing everyone, and enjoying the company of people’s voices. You had been on Joukai Pass for a while, so it must be nice getting back to civilization. However, a new adventure was waiting for you! While waiting for the pokemon to heal, you heard of a tournament being in town. It had a few rounds of pokemon that seemed to fit a certain type. It could win you good prizes. Since you were so close to the Trainers, you heard that it was starting tomorrow and just down the road! |

The Ponyta captured, Aquos turned to her Lapras. She had certainly jumped from a low-leveled Pokemon to a rather average one, which put her on equal footing with some of the weaker members, namely Accelerando and Ryuuza. It was a good thing, too, considering that she was heading to Millenia Town, where people were aplenty and people who wanted to fight even more in numbers. However, Aquos was grateful for the people and civilization in general - she wasn't sure if she could survive any longer in the wilderness without a Pokemon Center where she could take a break with the rest of her Pokemon. Somewhere along her journey towards the town, Clavier and Maestro had been returned to their Pokeballs. Requiem was now by her side; he occasionally sniffed the air and dragged her closer to him when she had walked a little too quickly. He was a tad protective, she realized. They soon reached the town, and healing her Pokemon became a priority. While that was done, she caught wind of a tournament being held - it was certainly something that piqued her interest. Upon obtaining her Pokemon from the nurse, out went Requiem from his Pokeball once again. "Requiem, let's check this out," she told him with a smirk, "There might be money if I win ... and I need money." The Zangoose simply eyed his Trainer, crossing his arms. What was it with humans and money, he seemed to think - but followed her out from the Pokemon Center anyway. Aquos approached one of the Trainers, and started to inquire about the tournament. "So ... can I join the tournament you're talking about~?" she asked, "And what are the battle conditions?" |

Millenia Town A young man, about early to mid-twenties, turned languorously. He smiled upon seeing such a pretty girl have the enthusiasm to join such a tournament. Just as you started talking, the man started to shake his head. He reached out for a handshake. ”Indeed you can, young lady. My name is Dan, the Tournament Representative. It isn’t anything like Alternia’s Tournament of Aegis, but local.” When you asked for rules and battle conditions, he knew that you were serious. This could turn out to be good for him. His smile widened up, nearly expanding over his cheeks. ”There are six rounds, each pertaining to a group of fighters organized for this tournament. Win, and go to the next. You need to just win all of them before fighting the other person who got the same or around the same score. Each trainer can use only TWO pokemon per round. If each faint, you can go to the Pokemon Center while waiting for the next round. To even try and compete in the final round, you must defeat at least four out of the six.” Dan had already taken your hand, but finally released his grip. You seemed eager, young, and could be a star! Well, we’d have to see. The man waved his arm to his other side, as the first round was going to start. ”And your name is?” Step on up after telling him, the first round is starting! The girl that was up on stage already had two pokeballs, one in each hand. She had a sticker on her, which looked like a tear drop. Clearly, it was a badge representing that she was the Water trainer. Wonder what the next round may be like? But for now, she released both pokemon, though one at a time would be fighting. The first, a Cloyster who looked strong, but went about opening and closing his shell to try and psych you out. Next was a Starmie who spun in place as she warmed up her body. Maybe one of them could be for Cestar? Were you ready to fight! ”My name is Mandy! I am not going to go easy!” The girl said, waving her shoulder-length blond hair, revealing the blue eyes she had that were engulfed in sun light. Lv.11 Lv.17 |

"Local's fine, no one knows me anyway," Aquos responded calmly. Nodding, she listened to what he had to say, before her attention was diverted by a tap on her shoulder by the Zangoose. She turned around to him, and wasn't surprised when he gave her a thumbs up. Always prideful of his strength, Requiem was keen on showing his stronger side in a tournament like this. Aquos shrugged away his hand, but Dan had released his - well, it was of no problem to her. The first round was coming up soon, and she figured she'd actually think about something productive rather than something like ... who held her hand. It just felt trivial to what was going on, since tournaments usually meant money, and she liked money. The girl simply shrugged and muttered her name; was it really that important? She didn't want any gangs running after her if and when she won the tournament! It appeared that her opponent was a Trainer that used water types. Aquos simply grinned over her shoulder at the Zangoose. If there was a type of Pokemon that she could fight successfully, it was probably the water type. Even Cadence could hold his own with his grass-typed Hidden Power. "... Aquos, nice to meet you~" she said exuberantly, smiling at her opponent. There was no point in being huffy and arrogant against someone she had no grudge against - it took too much effort was all. "I guess I can't go easy if you're not going easy on me," responded Aquos, shrugging. Generally people who said that they weren't going easy on someone else were ... either idiots, or they were really that good. And only time could tell which category the girl was in, Aquos figured. Her hand picked two Pokeballs from her waist pouch and she launched it into the air - from them, came a Turtwig and a Cestar. The former landed on the ground and turned back to face his Trainer with a grin, while the latter simply cartwheeled around, bumping into Clavier's back lightly as he lost his balance. They were both back to peak condition after the heal in the Pokemon Center. Requiem, on the other hand, appeared a little surprised he wasn't called upon, but kept his face relatively expressionless. "So ... Clavier, let's start off with Razor Leaf - thrice - it should be wide range, but if you can't make it wide range, use it on Starmie. Accel, Dragon Rage twice on Cloyster. Thundershock on Cloyster as well, as that would take care of it. Make sure you stay out of range of Starmie if it doesn't faint." Clavier: Razor Leaf x3 (Starmie, if fainted, to Cloyster) Accelerando: Dragon Rage x2 (Cloyster), Thundershock (Starmie/Cloyster depending on status) |

Millenia Town Mandy seemed to grimace at you sending out a Turtwig and Cestar. She knew both their types, and how much at a disadvantage she had come too. However, she didn’t expect it to be a two-on-two. She released both to watch. Watching as attacks started flying, she immediately sprang to action and shouted out commands as well. ”You surprised me… Aquos.” Mandy seemed to hiss at your name, as you were her opponent. Her pokemon had too much of a disadvantage, and she understood, so she sat back to watch what happened. Clavier shot off his attacks first, taking the giant starfish-like pokemon by surprise. This, not only was his type, was an advantage. The two razor leaf that had been fired quickly, hit with perfection. Before the last one could hit, Starmie manage to block them through her Water Gun. Then it continued, and hit Turtwig. That seemed to be over, though, for now. Cestar jumped into the spotlight, firing off strange colored fireballs. Dragon Rage. It was strong, and hit the Cloyster hard. Even how hard it was hit, the Cloyster was still able to stand. Since it was so weak, Cestar thought it would be cool to show off and faint the first opponent. Cloyster didn’t stand a chance. ”Impressive. I assume you are going to dominate Starmie. Just get it done and over with…” Mandy may have said impressive but sounded the total opposite. Again, she knew it was coming. Oh well, it was safe to say it was good and easy experience. "... this is a fight, isn't it?" Slightly amused at what Mandy had to say to her, Aquos smiled at the other girl. Better smile while she could, the other girl seemed to be hinting - but Aquos was sure that it was a mere figment of her imagination. The fact that her Pokemon were severely disadvantaged compared to Aquos' own was proof enough that Mandy was going to hate her, regardless of what she did. If she was in Mandy's shoes, she might be throwing a little tantrum of sorts, but she felt that thinking for the other party was unnecessary at this very moment. "I suppose so," the girl responded, clearly missing the sarcasm or whatever emotions that Mandy was putting into her words. "Are you feeling sad ... or angry, by any chance?" Noticing the clear lack of a drive to win in her opponent, Aquos felt compelled to ask and understand. "I'll Razor Leaf twice," Clavier turned to Accelerando, "Do you mind using a couple Thundershocks on the Starmie?" The Turtwig glanced at the Cestar. The first turn went fairly well for him, save for the time where he got hit by a forceful jet of water. That was totally unexpected by the turtle Pokemon, and thankfully, he had shifted slightly so that he didn't receive the full blow of water to his face. Still, it hurt. Accelerando grinned at Clavier, bumping against him lightly with his head. "No, no~ we do this like ... this!" Laughing, he cartwheeled into the air, opening his maw before focusing his draconic energy into his maw. His plans were simple. Get in a Dragon Rage, charge up electricity into a Thundershock and unleash the chaos! That would totally be awesome, thought the Cestar, eager for some action and havoc in general. He really believed that he was a massive dragon, like Godzilla, and could destroy cities. Hey, it was a dream, and Pokemon could dream, right? ... right. Millenia Town ”I am fine. I’m hired for this tournament, and by your choice of pokemon, I can see you would do well against me. You have many more to go, so get ready. They might not be as easy as me.” The girl warned, knowing what was in store for you. She watched on, waiting to see if Starmie could hold her own. But something struck her inside… Starmie hadn’t landed a bunch of hits, and she sure did want the star too. ”Starmie, go out with a bang!” It had been like a key to a secret side of Starmie. The star sprang to life and had dashed for Turtwig! Although, through its path, Starmie was hit with a Razor Leaf! She got really close to Turtwig, and when she found more leaves coming, she dodged to the side and jumped for Cestar, who in return had used his Thundershock at the same time! As the Starmie backed off, Cestar had already started preparing his Dragon Rage move, had he not been focusing he would’ve been pushed back further then he did. But he let go, and Starmie had been engulfed with a feeling of exhaustion and freedom. Done she went, and Mandy instantly returned her. Being a good sport, she walked to you and gave you a handshake, and while you pulled away found something had been put into your hands. It was a little badge, meaning you passed the first round! ”Hope to see you again!” The announcer came on, and told you to go to the Pokemon Center. Nearly forcing you too, Mandy followed to make sure. As part of her job, of course. While there, it was a quick in and out service and you were back in no time. Of course, you had to wait a little but no rush to jump in and fight. Finally it had turned your time to fight once more. You stepped on to the stage and found a guy this time. He had short black hair, with a single strip of green in the front. His strand of green seemed to be out of place, and reach down to his nose, while the rest of his hair stoped at his eyebrows. His clothing was a green shirt with a vine pattern on it, and black cargo pants. He wasn’t very built, but hadn’t been too scrawny. ”Hey! My name is Vince. I’m the grass trainer, and the second trainer of the tournament. Here goes!” Vince raised his arms, sporting two pokeballs. They both opened and one released a Ivysaur, who looked strong, while the other had revealed a Hoppip. Lv.17 Lv.12 Energy Ball |

Aquos smiled back at Mandy. It was good to know that no grudges were held and that everything was okay. She shook the other girl's hand, and nodded at her. "Same here. Take care," she responded with a grin, and watched as Mandy left. The girl turned to the Zangoose by her. "Alright, let's go to the Pokemon Center, Requiem," she said, and the massive mongoose nodded. Together, they headed to the Pokemon Center. A notice for the Captoris Corporation, a guild she'd previously filled out information for had sent a message to her Poketech, indicating that she should head to the nearest Pokemon Center to purchase a guild membership license. And since the girl was heading to the Pokemon Center to heal her Pokemon, it was only natural that she'd purchase what she was told to. After all, she had the money now, and who knew what she'd get after this tournament ... A part of her was hoping for money, but another part of her was hoping for some sort of valuable item, which the collector and treasure hunter within her was eager for. But then again, did treasure hunters not hunger for riches and valuables? At any rate - after handing over her Pokemon to the nurse, she hopped over to the counter and purchased a membership card to certify her entrance into the corporation. Her timing was good. When she'd finished her purchase (together with the week's lottery), her Pokemon were healed. "Thanks," she told the nurse, and set off back towards the tournament grounds, the badge Mandy had handed her pinned safely on her waist pouch. Back at the grounds, Aquos stepped onto the stage as per the instructions. "Requiem, I wonder what we're going to face next round," she told the creature, who simply shrugged. Why would he, of all Pokemon and people, know what they were going to face next? ... besides the fact that his hidden typing was psychic. They didn't need to wait long. A young man with short black hair was already before them, and most of him was ... green? "A grass Trainer?" Aquos muttered to herself, blinking as she looked at him. "Oh, hi! I'm Aquos; 's nice to meet you, Vince." She smiled at him, hoping he wouldn't be a sore loser ... that is, if she won. She wasn't sure of her chances against two grass types, for Cadence wouldn't be able to handle two of them, and Ryuuza was far too young to know what to do in a situation like this. She glanced around, and her eyes fell on Requiem. Smiling, she spoke - "Alright, Requiem. You're up, together with ..." her voice trailed off as she tried to think of someone who would complement the Zangoose well. Cadence, as a Charmander and fire type himself, was definitely an option. Octave held an advantage with Aerial Ace, but his self-thought rivalry wouldn't serve him well in a situation with Requiem. He was far too competitive, and Requiem would be inclined to show off and prove that he was better than the beetle Pokemon. Elegy was an option as well - but the fact that she was weak to Energy Ball and anything grass ruled her out. Aquos' hand settled on a Pokeball, and she turned to Requiem. "Your thoughts?" she inquired, and the Zangoose responded by tapping a Pokeball. Nodding, she launched the device into the air as the Zangoose stepped onto the battlefield. "Char!" barked Cadence as he fell to the ground on all fours. Cadence, huh ... thought Aquos as she nodded at Vince. Ladies first was the logic she was going with, whether he liked it or not! "Cadence, start off with a Smokescreen. Using the smoke to your advantage, get in a Rock Slide on the Hoppip. Requiem, stay your distance and use Flamethrower twice, on the Ivysaur. Use your Quick Attack to get out of the way if you see seeds, or spores coming your way." Purchased a guild member license for Captoris Corp. Bought two lottery tickets. Requiem: Flamethrower x2 [Ivysaur], Quick Attack to dodge if needed Cadence: Smokescreen, Rock Slide [Hoppip] Edited by Aquos, Feb 6 2011, 07:35 AM.
