djknsdfvsn;ionasdjfbnskj you big bully.

Whatever the case, she'd better make it quick. The faster this was over, the better. She couldn't stand here for another minute or two; any more and she'd probably cave in, yell out and start strangling the other young man. If she could, that is. Aquos was simply convinced that it was entirely his fault that her Pokemon were tired and wounded - she'd forgotten that it was her fault for not choosing a stronger Pokemon to fight for her side. Well, forgetfulness aside, Aquos' mind was back to the battle!

"Okay! 7 points left~ we can do this!" Aquos told her Pokemon. With a smile, Cadence nodded back at his Trainer. He would never give up ... not now, not here. "Sonata, I need you to use Hidden Power - if Scyther moves to attack Cadence, use Attract at once and make it up to him, okay? If Scyther hasn't attacked yet and you can get a hit in, use Hidden Power again. Cadence, you should use two Embers - fall back if your energy drops and let Sonata handle the situation if need be."

Well, defensive tactics, gogogo. Even though it wasn't really her idea of fun/choice tactics, it was a good way for her to learn a thing or two about not placing Pokemon to fight something out of their league. Um, yeah. Seriously, the girl's changed a lot since her arrival in Millenia Town ... either for the better, or for worse.

This wasn't going to need much effort. Shinx looked at Scyther, and it was clear who would win. All Sonata did was build up the energy... She shot it off! As much as this should end just here, and in this sentence, it didn't. Scyther tried to dodge, but as he did, an orb was floating past him. Unfortunate for him, his step to dodge made him go backwards. You can see how this played out; the bug type caught up with the orb and was hit with ice energy! The Scyther had felt enough, and dropped. The trainer returned him and said nothing at first, but then readied a pokeball. The guy tossed it, but not with anger, and you caught it with a firm grasp. It was your Sableye.

Without any words, the man turned, glanced over his shoulder to give a short and half-way wave before twisting his body to normal and walking off. He didn't seem like the sore loser type. Now that you're free, however, what would you do? You had just finished tutoring before the battle. Definitely a good idea to heal up, but maybe find another battle, pokemon, or a place to tutor?

Yay, Aquos won! Aquos obtained a Sableye! Nicknamed Sableye Maestro!

Now, with that statement out of the way ... time to actually plan what to do. She turned to Sonata, her eyes searching for the Shinx - but in her place was a ... Luxio? Huh, how interesting. The girl scratched her head, before finding that the little Pokemon was scratching her head in surprise at her new form. She was still finding it a little new and hard to get used to, but the increased height meant that she had a better view of things. The Shi - uh, Luxio walked beside Aquos for a bit before she returned the feline to her Pokeball. Oh, and she returned Cadence as well.

So ... what to do, what to do. There were so many options! Of course, the easiest one would be to tutor her Pokemon some moves, but it would be better for her to beef up some of her Pokemon and get some training done ... and money! She needed money as well; getting it by hook or by crook would be fun. But first: time to get some evolutions, buahaha.

"Hmm ... Maestro~" she called, clicking the tab on the Pokeball. The Sableye that was gifted to her emerged from the Pokeball, stifling a yawn and stretched out. At once, his fake eye popped out from it socket - he played with it, tossing it from palm to palm while snickering obnoxiously. "What's with the sound effect, Maestro?" the girl questioned, to which the Pokemon responded with a smirk. "We're going wild Pokemon hunting with Clavier ... and he's a Turtwig."

Clavier poked his head out from where he was and glanced at the Sableye. The purple Pokemon simply smirked yet again at the Turtwig, who simply smiled back. "But you're not gonna be fightin', Maestro - you're gonna get a new move to beef up your repertoire," she said with a grin at the ghost-type.

"The move we're gonna learn is Punishment. Basically, you deal great, great damage to a Pokemon who's boosted itself up with lots of stat increments. Now, I'm not sure how to go about this, but ... it's a good move against some Pokemon that has Bulk Up or any sort of stat-increasing moves. Especially some of the Trainer-owned Pokemon; we'll need this move to -"

Maestro chuckled darkly.

"Yeah, create disaster."

More chuckling.

After that Trainer battle, you got yourself a Sableye... with a FAKE EYE. Not only was that creepy, but it made him so unique and you could show it off to your friends. Too bad you were somewhere on Joukai Pass, where no one seemed to really be. Telling Maestro the basic understanding of Punishment, it seemed to be eager for chaos. Having Clavier on duty with him for finding wild pokemon would be interesting, but they wouldn't be looking for very long. You turned your head, and found a noise. A scurrying noise through dirt, and then through bushes. Out came about four Rattata, all who seem to be quicker then normal. Each and everyone tried keeping up with the mouse next to them. Was it a race between the four? As they kept neck to neck the entire time, they finally came to a halt in front of you. Each stared up, and then gagged at the sight of Maestro playing with his eye.

That darn Poketech of hers. Aquos glared at the device, her finger poised to delete that annoying prompt on lottery buying - she would not allow herself to indulge yet again - before noticing the buckteeth of something. Ooh, Rattata? Those pesky little purple rats that kept eating her mom's radishes ... she'll teach them a lesson or two. Yes, they weren't the same rodents, but they were the same species. Aquos wasn't discriminating against them, mm?

Oh, score! They had a +2 Speed stat as well ... wonderful training time, go~

"Maestro, Clavier. You'll have to take them down, I'm afraid," Aquos said in a quiet voice, "Don't want 'em eating someone's radishes like they did to my mother's ..."

The Sableye snickered while rubbing his palms together. The fake eye slowly went back into its socket; he smirked and bared his sharp, pointed ridges of his mouth at the rats. "Kukukuku ..." he chuckled darkly; chaotic as he was, he needed advice from Aquos on how to create disaster, in the girl's own words. "Kekeh." More chuckling came from the Pokemon with no weaknesses. Clavier shivered slightly; was he supposed to do battle while cooperating with this ... Sableye?

"Maestro's a little odd, but I hope you'll bear with him ... personalities come in all sorts of different flavors, I'm afraid," said the girl with something of an apologetic smile (Maestro did not approve, by the way), "Please, Clavier? Razor Leaf one of those rats, and use Withdraw if you're attacked."

She turned to the ghost-type.

"Well, for Punishment, you're going to beat up those speed freaks senseless. Normal attacks won't harm you, but Bite can ... it won't be too effective though. Now, back to Punishment. It's a Dark-type move, and you've got those dark, eerie powers, but you can't manifest them, right? So I think, you should start by drawing out the ghostly energies you have and implanting your ... darker motives into those energies. It should work, it should! Think of it like doing Night Shade, but breaking the boundaries of that attack for something that would destroy the opponent.

"So ... I think you should start off this fight with a Foresight. Then like I told you, try merging Astonish or Night Shade into one of your Scratch attacks; while attacking completely and thoroughly intend to smash one of those rats. Do it twice on the rat Clavier is attacking, okay? Treat it as if you're totally trying to mess up that rat for being speedier and faster than you. I don't think you'll like something that hits before you do. It's not a pleasant thing getting smacked in the face."

This was going to be... unique. Sableye had such an interesting personality. One that turned off Clavier to even being out, it seemed. Either way, Clavier swung his body, lightly, forcing a flurry of leaves to escape him and soar at the rats. The flurry hit Rattata, a single one, a level ten. The Rattata looked at the Turtwig, and then turned to Sableye, who was using a move at the same time. It was Foresight. With eyes widening, Rattata knew he would be hit by ghost types. With all of this excitement, the middle-strength Rattata turned and dashed. It wasn't going to be attacked, and it certainly didn't mind this race. It was Sableye's turn. He dashed in, focusing on combining Astonish and Night Slash. Deep down, be honest, was he using the combo for you or because it would be a trick to see what came out on top to hit the Rattata? Doesn't matter, the ghost and dark energies seemed to fuse, but the dark became overwhelming. As Sableye tried to act as if he was jealous, he went in for a punch-like maneuver. It just seemed to be a normal Strike. There was some need to make it stronger, and use the increase against the Rattata. Trying it again, the Sableye seemed to really force strength down. But it was still a Strike. More, more power.

"Yup, just continue tapping into your inner darkness, Maestro."

The Sableye rubbed his palms together; Night Shade was frighteningly effective at getting his point across. However, he hadn't quite mastered this technique yet - frowning slightly, he crossed his arms. Wasn't he, like, supposed to get it first time he tried? No? How strange. Turning back to his thoughts, the ghostly creature tapped the back of Aquos's knee, confident and maniacal smirk dancing upon his visage as per normal. Totally normal for Maestro, but totally abnormal for any other Pokemon, actually.

"Get the other rats, Maestro. Foresight on another rat and pump Night Shade into your Scratch and go for another rat while Clavier finishes this one off with a Razor Leaf or two. You must think about dealing as much damage as possible; even if you're tired, you'll want to come out tops. The scales are always unfair, so you have to ever so gently ... tip them into your favor, without the opponents realizing it. I don't care if the rats come out half-mutilated after this, you're getting Punishment after this battle."

Maestro snickered.

"Also, you need to make that Rattata feel the effects of speed. All that running around with that horrid +2 in Speed has bound to have its effects; it'll feel it sooner or later, but you're gonna make it feel the pain. Right now."

Aquos glanced at the Sableye; the purple Pokemon returned the gaze. Alright, he could do that. Nothing too big or difficult in that ... the hardest part would be making it really seem like a hellish punishment, but aesthetics were something he could work on much, much later. For now? Just throwing his new playmate into the depths of his attack, and that, as they said, was that.

I'm going to get straight to the point. Clavier only needed to use one Razor Leaf, and it quickly fainted. Is other attack was suppose to be for the same one, so it was ignored this round. The level eleven, being the middle level, had run away last ref. Thus, Sableye was appointed to the stronger Rattatas and used Foresight immedaitely. He charged up his energy, and dashed for it. The attack hit the Rattata, and you could tell Maestro was pumping more power, and more chaos into it. He was getting closer and closer, he just needed to get the extra damage from the stat increase in there. Once it gets that boost, whoa, Maestro will be doing way more damage then he is. Thrive for the top!

Both pokemon also got experience. Clavier received 5 exp; Maestro received 5, as well. Neither leveled, but Clavier sure got closer. In no time, he may reach a level to grow strong, and you know I mean evolution. As for the other Rattata, it quickly ran to Clavier and used Bite. That was only a courageous act, and it moved away quickly.

Hnng, this was slightly tough. One of the darned things ran away ... well, there they had it. At least they got some exp and two of the rats were left over. Okayyy. Now to work on Punishment a little more, have Clavier tutored something else while he was fighting and ... maybe finish off the rats. If they weren't after their rather rough practice, that is. What the turtle was going to learn was something really, really simple. After all, it was something innate and easy. Something she should have tutored when she was teaching him Razor Leaf ... wow, that was a looooong time ago.

Okay, moving on.

Aquos turned to the turtle Pokemon. "Okay, this round I want you to focus on your Special Attack, Clavier. But it's not just a simple thing like that - I want you to focus, but go beyond that and actually make the stat boost stick around for the rest of the battle. This move is called Growth. I think it's got something to do with forcing yourself to grow all at once - using photosynthesis, you create a bunch of energy and nutrients in one go and send it to all parts of your body. Like a sugar high which makes you really, really energetic."

Clavier nodded. A supercharged Focus ... he could do that. The Turtwig gave his Trainer a grin and stepped into the foray. First he'd search for a light source and think back to the time where he learnt Razor Leaf. Or more recently, Hidden Power. That kind of focus was probably needed if he was going to make it stay around, right? Okay, next thing ... amping the correct stat up. It seemed that Focus could go any way, really, and he needed a good guarantee that the stat he was increasing was most definitely Special Attack.

"Also, use Razor Leaf after that to back Maestro up."

Now, Maestro ... hnn, what to do? "I need you to do the same thing over again - but this time, with a little more drive behind it! You can do eeeeet~!"

Turning around, tutoring both pokemon instead of one. While I support that idea, tutoring in battle and putting a more taxing toll on a pokemon's energy and progress. Getting right along to it, Clavier started to focus, while on the side lines and not immediately in the battle. He focused hard on spreading the energy throughout his body, and focused on what photosynthesis would do for him, as if he was a full on plant. As he kept imagining, he felt his entire body get stronger, but the strength was draining at a slow rate. He used a Razor Leaf, trying to ward off the other Rattata.

As for Maestro, his move was coming along, as well. His fist was surging with chaos, build and conjured into a raging energy. His darkness swelling inside of him. The power boosted his power, and soon he went for Rattata, trying to get rid of it as he went. Against almost all odds, Maestro performed one devastating attack. It's power burst out, knocking the Rattata along the path, making it skid along the rough road.

Neither Rattata attacked this turn. The one Maestro punched was terrified. Such a powerful move, and the mouse found itself almost immobilized by a strange, creeping fear. As for the one Clavier attacked, it had already been slightly intimidated, but only by his strength. After the Razor Leaf, he knew why. The mouse couldn't bring himself to attack Clavier, and after witnessing the Sableye's move, well, he had no doubt double checked his escape routes.

"Alright, Clavier. That's a great job you did; you just have to make the Special Attack stat stay around for as long as this battle lasts, okay? Just keep at it. Close your eyes to enhance your focus if you have to - you're nearly there, you just need that final push to get you to master Growth ... after that, use Absorb twice on one of the rats. If you've succeeded, you should feel the Absorb coming more naturally to you, and you'll feel that your attack's strengthened. If you don't feel it, well ... you'll have to make sure photosynthesis in your leaves are happening at a quicker rate than usual and you should be on your way!"

The girl smiled at the Turtwig. Growth was certainly coming along at a good pace. If they kept this up, mastering stronger moves than this would be of no trouble at all. Of course, it meant hanging around Pokemon Centers for an exorbitant amount of time, but ... whatever it takes to get new moves learned non-naturally. Whatever it took. Next, she turned to Maestro. It appeared that the Sableye was now smirking and laughing to himself, at the same time playing with streams of dark energy. Punishment ... he mastered it?

"Yeah, great job!" she told her new companion, "Well, I suppose you'll have to go ahead and use Punishment on the other rat who still has the stat boost ... and finish it off with Scratch."

If everything went to plan, Aquos was pretty certain that they would be left with one rat, or if things went really well, two rats would be knocked out. Well, she had plenty of time on her hands. The mysterious Trainer who had won the ToA could wait; he seemed to be stuck in the forest for an extended amount of time, it seemed. Whatever the case, they were finishing off these rats and getting the show on the road. And of course, be back in time to jump the Tier Three victor.

It seems we are starting off with the tutor first, which is good, because we can get it out of the way and maybe get these damn rats out. Turtwig gave a long breath, readying himself mentally. Photosynthesis at a faster rate, and that seemed to be it. Starting his focus, the leaves started to glow, and then the aura around him seemed to grow stronger. His special attack boost was permanent, well, at least for battles. Now Clavier could do more damage with moves like Razor Leaf, and Absorb. Which, a matter of fact, he shot a green-tinted beam of energy to the one Rattata, taking health away from it.

(It was my bad, but each mouse has +2, and it appears you noticed it by the way you worded things :) )

Maestro found his new gained power to be a strong one. He looked down at his fist, and felt the energy charge up. Dashing for the mouse, it tried turning to run, but it twisted it's ankle when turning, and it collapse, only to have it's face collide with a fist. Seeing his victim on the ground, there was nothing left to it. The one Rattata looked over, and now worried about it's ally. It couldn't just go over there, Sableye was there. On a rampage for fun, the Sableye dashed for the other one, getting in two quick Scratch attacks.

Now that it was all done, what would you be really doing next? You could try and search out the winner to the ToA, or you could give up on that and go head to a place to get a pokemon you want. Don't forget the option of more tutoring!

Okay, cutting a very long process short. After the battle, Aquos decided to take a short break in the middle of the forest, and her Pokemon were let out to get some fresh air. Surely after the fight between the Rattata, something good had happened to the rest of her team? No? Well ... at the very least, some of them were feeling better after a break, especially Sonata and Cadence. They just had a tough fight not too long ago. Hmm, now to do something ... tutoring. Mass tutoring, go go go.

:luxio :heracross
Night Slash

Getting Octave, who was born with the ability to use Night Slash to teach Sonata the move was the plan. Of course, Octave wasn't used to the fact that Sonata was better than him at learning Hidden Power, and Aquos highly doubted that he had gotten over it. After all, the Heracross was eying the Luxio with a certain sore air about him. That aside, he was keen to show Sonata what he could do - but he hadn't expected Requiem to be a showoff and show that he too, could use Night Slash. Octave was a little taken aback; just what could that Zangoose do that he could?

"Anyway, Octave. I need you to show Sonata how Night Slash is done. Sonata isn't bipedal, so she won't have the problem of getting to the enemy, but what I'm more worried about is the speed of the execution. She doesn't really have front limbs she can use when she is running."

"Sonata, I want you to practice running towards a target, preferably a tree and attack the tree with one of your paws without losing speed. You can't go, stop, attack and come back - you'll be wide open and end up hurt. It'll be great if you could just run in, attack and come back; if you can't return after attacking, just continue running and you will eventually come to a stop some distance away. By then you'll be out of the range of melee attacks, so you'll be good. For now, just practice running towards the tree and attacking with your claws. After you're done with that - Octave, use Night Slash several times so that Sonata gets the idea.

"Night Slash is a dark-typed move, so ... Sonata, you've already learnt Bite before, right? Bite is an attack where you infuse dark energy into your fangs; this time, you're infusing it into your claws. Slashing with your claws is an innate ability of yours when you're cornered and have to fight your way out. So here: Sonata, try imagining that you're pinned into a corner with no way of getting out, feel the desperation when you've got no way to go and all you can do is struggle. The running I made you do just now is so that you can build up stamina for that final breakthrough. Basically, you'll be focusing your dark energy into your claws and attacking with them relentlessly, but you have to resist your urge to bite. Draw your claws back and lash out with that dark energy of yours, as accurately and fiercely as you can to hit a vital point."

:bagon
Ember

Ryuuza was looking pretty interested in what he was going to work on right now. The Hidden Power tutor from before was going to come in really useful. After all, it had the fire element and Ember and Fire Fang kinda needed the Bagon to tap into that innate fire. Basically, it meant that he was going to be learning two moves in one go. Aquos was hoping that something like that wouldn't end up in an explosive end. If not, just having Ember would be a good start for some firepower. More well-rounded Pokemon without resorting to TMs, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Aquos told the Bagon to find a good tree and start his training, at the same time hoping some nature-lovers wouldn't come down from a random helicopter and arrest her for illegal logging.

"Ryuuza, you know how your Hidden Power comes from finding your inner fire? It's kind of like ... fiery and warm at the same time, and it's of the fire type. I need you to use that fire to your advantage. Think about it for a bit, but don't concentrate like you for Hidden Power. Let it loose and not in concentrated orbs, and that's where it's different from Hidden Power. Ember has you firing the flames instead of summoning them, so allow the fire to pent up within you until you can't hold it in anymore. When you feel as if it's incredibly hot, just fire them out. You don't need a specific form for the fire, so that should give you some freedom."

:cestar
Aqua Tail

Aqual Tail was something easy to start off for the young Cestar. Despite being an egg move, Accelerando had a water Hidden Power, which simplified the process of drawing out the water for Aqua Tail.

"Accel, listen up! You know Hidden Power, right? It's of the water element, isn't it?"

Grinning at Aquos, the Cestar summoned some orbs of water; clearly, Hidden Power was easy for him now.

"No, I don't want you to use Hidden Power - I want you to use the water from Hidden Power on your tail. Get the feel of having it wet and surrounded by water; you need to get used to the sensation of it. Once you're done with that, I need you to sit down and calm down for a bit. Aqua Tail has you whacking your opponent with your tail that is coated with water. And it hurts a lot, Accel."

Accelerando snickered, glancing at the ground and then back at Aquos. Obediently, he settled down and closed his eyes, toying with the idea of Aqua Tail. If he remembered correctly, huge dinosaurs and monsters splashed water around. That was all they did - so he'll be even better and cooler than them if he brought along water together with a whip of his tail? Was that better than splashing water around? Sounded good to him, honestly. He'd try anything but boring stuff; those weren't worth his time. And maybe he'd give Aqua Tail a good shot.

"Using the water from Hidden Power, focus on the image of a tail that's surrounded with water. And when you lift your tail up, the water also follows your tail - that's a good Aqua Tail. Since you're levitating, you don't need to run on the ground. I need you to cartwheel like you always do and at the same time, try to make sure the water is still on your tail. Take a break and rest if you need to, but keep trying. Once you have that done, spin towards a target - yet another tree - and stop spinning; smash your tail against the trunk of the tree and send it into a watery doom. The centrifugal force from spinning should help provide the force behind Aqua Tail.

"Most importantly, you should make sure that your tail is always coated with water throughout your attempts."

:lapras
Ice Shard

Oh yay, new Pokemon! More like, new Pokemon with an egg move that was just received, but that was a different thing altogether. The Lapras was a majestic creature; she was rather large and tall, but that was only natural for a sea creature. Running a hand along her neck, Aquos smiled at her; "Well, you'll be named Elegy," she told the creature. The newborn was still feeling rather groggy, and so, nodded blindly. However, she was smiling calmly; she was a quiet one, quiet but kind.

"So, we'll be learning Ice Shard today. It's a move where you fire shards of ice; now, this attack is some ways away from you naturally learning it, but don't worry. You'll get the hang of it soon, since it's innate and I'm sure you can get the hang of it easily. Now, you can use Water Gun, right? Think about the cold, cold sea where you used to be, and the mists that surround the sea. Try to make the temperature within your body drop to extremely cold levels, to the point where Water Gun isn't water, but is hardened water - ice! Just keep thinking about making the water turn into ice, and fire it in small and short bursts."

In the meantime, Cadence searched for a wild Pokemon to fight.

You started off by having Sonata run at a tree, and without losing any speed, strike it with her claws. The pokemon effortlessly did as you commanded, pulling the stunt off without even breaking a sweat. Next up was the tutor part. You sent out your Heracross to help tutor the move. You wanted him to perform Night Slash multiple times, so Sonata could see how the move worked, and so that’s exactly what he did. After watching the bug perform the move, and listening to your explanation on the attack and what she should do, Sonata began her first attempt.

She began thinking about being trapped; surrounded by enemy pokemon, and then she began focusing on the dark energy she obtained from Bite. She closed her eyes for a split second, concentrating hard on moving the energy into her paw. Soon her paw became engulfed in a black energy, much like Heracross’ hand had done. Your pokemon quickly opened her eyes, and swiped her paw in a good slash, but it wasn’t enough. She still needed some more power behind the attack. Night slash was a pretty powerful move, but she was halfway there!

Next up was your Bagon, Ryuuza. The tutor you were working with him on today was Ember, which should be a fairly easy move to learn. You explained to him on what to do, and like Sonata, he quickly began. He started focusing on his inner fire like he did with Hidden Power. However, like you said, he wouldn’t concentrate on bringing the energy out around him, instead he would work on building the flame inside. He concentrated on his inner heat, building it up more and more until it turned into a small flame. The dragon then began adding more heat, trying to build the flame bigger, and he was very slowly succeeding. Finally the flame was at a decent size, but now he had to figure out how to move the flame from the pits of his body, out of his mouth, and at his opponent.

Ryuuza tried his hardest at launching the flame, but in all honesty he had to add a bit more power behind it, because well, it flew about two feet. Well, he had a very good first attempt, just a little more power behind the attack, and this move would be as good as his!

Aqua Tail. A strong and powerful move, but with your tutoring skills it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. So, you planned on using Accel use Hidden Power to help him with this tutor, well that was a perfect idea! Hidden Power was elemental energy in the form of spheres, am I right? Well, the only problem I see so far is turning that energy into liquid water, but I think you guys can do it. At first Accel started with Hidden power, the water energy orbs were soon created, and he skillfully placed them around his tail. Well, so far so good, like I said, with how detailed you are on your tutors, it shouldn’t take long. So Accel continued to keep the energy around his tail, and he began cart wheeling towards the tree, he soon stopped, and slammed his tail into the tree as hard as possible. The little tree actually cracked, well it appeared that Accel had the power needed for the attack, now all he had to do was form the energy into water, and this attack would be his!

Last up on the tutor list was your newly nicknamed Lapras, Elegy. She was a newborn, she had recently just hatched from her egg, and it was amazing to she the size of her… she was huge.. and a newborn.. it was crazy, but anyways back to the tutoring. You were trying to tutor her Ice Shard, a semi weak ice type move. The youngling listened to your explanation of the move, and once you were finished she gave you a light nod. She knew what she had to do, and what would make you happy, and so she was going to try her best with the move. She started off by building up a Water Gun, and like you said, she began cooling of the water, trying to make it cold like the ocean bottom, where she was from.

A few minutes had passed as she had been cooling off the water, and it finally felt icy inside of her, and so she decided to let it out. She slowly opened her mouth, and fired off quick watery bursts. The bursts were made up of ice-cold water, there was no ice in the blasts at all, but it was well on it’s way to freezing. Maybe you could have her cool the water even more, or you could even have her try and add her ice type energy into the attack. Either way, she did an ok first attempt.

Night Slash

It was a fairly good attempt at Night Slash, but Sonata hadn't quite got the hang of it. Knowing her, it was definitely a problem relating to power. Sonata never wanted to hurt anyone, and so, it seemed to be the time for Aquos to explain to her the mechanics of Night Slash, and why it wasn't going to hurt anyone. It felt sort of like a college essay, honestly - she glanced at the Luxio as she walked up to her.

"Sonata, Night Slash is a powerful move. It's a slashing attack with a high critical rate, so it should kill in one blow if did right. You won't hurt the opponent that much if they don't feel the pain before they faint, right?" smiled the girl as she looked at her Pokemon, "Now, I want you to hold the dark energy around your paw. Just hold it, letting it stay there and for you to get the feel of it." At this, Aquos would wait for Sonata to do as she was told, until she got the hang of maintaining the energy for quite some time. "... try walking around with it for a bit, then start running with it like you would without it. It might be a little hard, but you can do it, I'm sure!"

The girl watched as Sonata practiced the move. "Once you can run with the energy intact, I want you to start running towards the tree that you practiced on just now. Try pouncing towards the tree when you're close enough and pull your paw backwards, then slash the tree. The slashing is something you do, then hit the ground and keep running. Do it a few more times and we'll see how you're faring, okay?" She ruffled Sonata's fur.

:bagon
Ember

"Well, two feet! That's a pretty good try for a first attempt. Where do the flames start, Ryuuza?"

The Bagon responded by drawing a line starting from the pits of his abdomen and tracing a line up his throat and out of his mouth. He glanced at Aquos, smiling slightly; he knew this well, and Aquos wasn't about to question him. She shouldn't question him, as a matter of fact. And she didn't.

"Alright, the flames start there ... try letting it build up a little more before launching it. It's got to lose some power there, so you'll want to keep gathering the flames until they're a decent size, then firing them. You mustn't choke on them when they get up to your throat - they'll lose speed then, and you can't fire them as far. If you find them a little lacking, you can gather a little more fire and shoot them out right after your first burst of flames."

:cestar
Aqua Tail

"Accel, listen up. Hidden Power on your tail and keep the orbs there. Next, try to maintain the water around your tail. This time, try summoning the water with your tail, instead from around your upper torso like Hidden Power. Summon the watery orbs with your tail and make sure it's only on your tail. Don't let the water flow out from the boundaries of your tail - it won't really be Aqua Tail if you were totally coated in water. This time, don't attack the tree yet. Walk, hover, whatever you do to get around, do that with your tail coated with water. Try moving around a little, and don't pick up speed. If your tail starts to get lighter because the water is evaporating, keep your focus and re-coat your tail with water again. Once you've got your tail at a certain size for quite a long time, start spinning towards a tree and do what you did before - spin right up to the tree and smash your tail into it!"

:lapras
Ice Shard

"Elegy, try focusing on your ice energy. It's somewhere inside of you, so just think about it and the ocean. Add ice into the picture as well; take your time doing this, since we've got all the time we need in the world. The water you fired off were already very cold; you're doing a great job as it is! Cool the water in your body before you start gathering the water." Aquos placed a hand on the Lapras, trying to detect a change in temperature so she would be able to cue Elegy into water formation. Even if she couldn't, she figured she should be able to see a difference in Elegy's body language ... it was still a child after all, and baby Pokemon generally were more open with their body language.

"Now, gather the water like you would for Water Gun. Just maintain the water level for a bit; it might be a little uncomfortable, but any sort of cooling it gets now would really be worth it in the long run. Tap into your ice-typed energy and draw it out a little, infusing it into the cooled water. Since the water is pre-cooled, you should be able to freeze it with ease. If you don't, I'm afraid you'll have to draw out more of your icy elements to freeze the water. If the water isn't frozen, you shouldn't be firing it from your mouth - that isn't really ice, and isn't Ice Shard. Right now, focus on turning it into ice before you fire it."

Okay! Now to the battle. A Rhyhorn had appeared, and Cadence, loyal like always, reported it to Aquos. She turned to the Charmander and nodded. A creature like that ... not too bad, she thought. Training on Pokemon of a lower level than he was was actually a pretty good idea. That way, he wouldn't get hurt that easily ... or so she thought.

"Cadence, start with a Smokescreen. Follow up with a Hidden Power while the smoke is still around, then get some super-effective damage in on the creature."
