The rest of the building is restricted to special guests and workers alike. 2: Kijutsu City - Urban/Rough Terrain - Kijutsu City is the largest city in all of Alternia and is home to a number of large factories. Even as it is known as the Industrial Capital of Alternia, it is likewise known by many to be the Crime Capital of Alternia, after the many thieves and vandals that litter the streets both day and night. ------ Midnight Ember Office Complex - Urban - A large skyscraper situated around the many dotting Kijutsu City's skyline. Many levels of the building are off limits to civilians, and a large number of the people seen around it look very suspicious... 3: Millenia Town - Urban/Water's Edge - Generally thought to be the median city of the Alternian Mainland, with attributes akin to each of the other cities. It is located near the sea and as such is home to many water-type Pokemon, and also a large beach containing long jetties made of piled rocks. These exist in order to protect the beach from the large waves of the ocean. 4: Joukai Pass - Grasslands/Rough Terrain - A very large plain-like area guarded by three statues of Wisdom, Emotion, and Willpower. In the center of the pass is a large tower where battling Pokemon is forbidden. ------ Joukai Tower - Urban/Grasslands - Joukai Tower is a large skyscraper like tower in the center of the Joukai pass. The many fashion shops attract many Coordinators, as well as the fact that the Annual Grand Festival Pokemon contest is held here. 6: Seafloor Ruins - Sea/Ruin - Underwater ruins of some sort of ancient castle, or temple. It can be traveled to by ways of a special ship, which can be dived off of to explore; fabled to be the home of Poseidon. [Journeys that dive near the Seafloor Ruins must be handed over to Admin+ control.] | A: Route 4 - Grasslands/Rough Terrain - Possibly the longest route of the explored Alternia Region, covered in swampy terrain and grassy fields alike. The center makes up the main area of the Duijok Swamp, a place to catch many Water, Bug, and Poison type Pokemon. B: Forest of Legend - Forest/Ruin - This dense forest surrounds Nogou Village, and must be navigated through to reach the city. Many wild Pokemon can be found within the forest, and even some rare ones can be found within the ruins situated in the sparsely explored reaches of the deeper parts of the woods. C: Route 1 - Rough Terrain/Grasslands - As one of the largest routes of the explored Alternia Region, this incredibly floral pathway leads straight from the Forest of Legends to Joukai Pass. Inhabited by many types of Pokemon, this is a favored route amongst trainers. D: Route 2 - Mountain - Leading one to the rough terrains of the Meteoric Plains, Route 2 is path across the mountainous terrain leading to Kijutsu city. One has to travel through the Meteoric Plains afterwards if they wish to use this way to get to the industrial city. E: Meteoric Plains - Rough Terrain - A treacherous, crater filled area wrapped around most of Kijutsu City. Trainers can mine for stones, search for hardy Pokemon, and bask in the beautiful imagery that is the fallen meteors that have rooted themselves into the earth, the craters of all sizes caused by them, and the ravaged, jagged hills and fissured, craggy earth. F: Route 3 - Grasslands - The quickest way of travel from the city of Kijutsu to the Town of Millenia, and vice versa. It is an effective trade route between both cities, trading material and food to help one another in survival. It is an effective way to bypass the treacherous Meteoric Plains to reach Kijutsu City. G: Route 5 - Grasslands - A direct route leading straight from Millenia Town to Joukai Pass. Many trainers spend their time along this route battling the grand expanse of Pokemon. H: Duijok Swamp - Forest/Water's Edge - A large, swampy area nestled in the middle of Route 4. It is agonizing to trudge through if one doesn't follow the right path, as the mud and marshlands can reach a maximum of 7 feet deep in some places. | | -Miracu Island- | -Miracu Island- | 7: Miracu City - Urban/Sea - The small city of Miracu is the only city on Miracu Island. It is a relatively small city, as many come here only as tourists to explore the strange islands off it's coast, and to see the marvel of the never ending rainstorm that continuously plagues Rainwater Path. 8: Alpha Island - Forest/Ruin/Sea - An eerie island with a small population of wild Pokemon living on it, there's supposedly a sealed cavern rumored to be somewhere beneath it. The ruins of a strange temple adorn a hill at it's center. 9: Omega Island - Grasslands/Ruin/Sea - An eerie island with a small population of wild Pokemon living on it, there's supposedly a sealed cavern rumored to be somewhere beneath it. The ruins of a strange temple adorn a hill at it's center. 10: Centauri Island - Rough Terrain/Ruin/Sea - An eerie island with a small population of wild Pokemon living on it, there's supposedly a sealed cavern rumored to be somewhere beneath it. The ruins of a strange temple adorn a hill at it's center. | I: Rainwater Path - Grasslands - A short path that's very oddly always under a thunder storm. It's also where the Weather Station is located. ------ Weather Station - Urban - Built to observe the strange weather phenomenon of the area, it acts as the region's atmospheric forecasting center. | | -Des Irt Island- | -Des Irt Island- | 11: Unown Dungeon - Cave/Ruin - An ancient, tomb like ruin that circles downward into the earth. The enigmatic species of Pokemon known as Unown are the sole inhabitants. It's very much like a maze inside. [Journeys that near the bottom of the dungeon must be handed over to Admin+ control.] 12: Onu-Koru - Urban/Cave - A town with a very different design, actually located underneath the deserts of the Island. For one to make their way into the city, they must go through the underground path that leads to and from Deramus. 13: Deramus - Urban/Rough Terrain - Deramus is a city located in one of the hottest parts of the desert on Des Irt Island. It is actually very difficult to find because of the constant geyser traps that must be passed to get to the city, as well as the sandstorms the city is known for having. 14: Ferry Station - Sea/Rough Terrain - A small port built around a bay allowing trading between Deramus and the rest of the region. Surrounding buildings and homes belong to street merchants or traders. Small time thieves are known to make their start here, as this is the only way leading in and out of Des Irt island. | J: Mysterious Path - Forest/Ruin - A small port area allows a boat to dock to bring people to the little island. Creepy dark trees cover the path leading explorers to the Unown Dungeon, foreshadowing it's mystery. K: Underground Cavern - Cave - A wide cave system with moderate access to Onu-Koro from the surface. Entrances are sporatic aside from the main one near Deramus. The cavern itself is open with large pillars of natural rock holding the ceiling. Trade carts are a common sight on the main path, but there are plenty of side paths in which to explore L: Desert Geysers - Rough Terrain - This area is a large desert, with a very unique quality. Though a method that continues to baffle scientists, sand geysers erupt just about everywhere across the expanse of sand. The sand thrown into the air is the source of the unending sandstorm over the area. | | -Zaroff Island- | -Zaroff Island- | 15: Peddleton - Urban/Rough Terrain - A large portside city, heavily influenced by the large shipping industry of it's many ports. It gets it's name from the fact that everyone seems to be peddling their things for cash and Pokemon. Of course, this isn't a bad thing, because it offers many newcomers ways to obtain items that they would otherwise not be able to find. However, these people are smart and don't like being tricked. 16: Gatsby Research Center - Urban/Grasslands - This is a small village-like area where Professor Gatsby and his team work on various experiments, as well as the place many beginning trainers receive their starting Pokemon. It is located a little ways away from a rather large lake known as Addler's Puddle. | M: Swap Meet - Urban/Rough Terrain - A large market where people buy and sell wares of any variety, and can also freely set up small shops of their own to try and peddle their goods to passerbyers. N: Platinum Mountain - Rough Terrain/Mountain - A large mountain that towers over Peddleton City and the Swap Meet area. It's slopes are rich with minerals and ores, a miner's paradise- if only not for the fact that Platinum Mountain is an infamous roost of many Dragon type Pokemon's nests, most likely the reason it is also widely known as the 'Dragon's Nest'. ------ Shark Fin Peak - Mountain/Sky - The highest point of the Platinum Mountains, and hardest place to reach of the Dragon's Nest. Naturally shaped in the likeness of a giant shark fin. It is said to be especially treacherous when the winds are strong. [Journeys that near the top of the mountain must be handed over to Admin+ control.] O: Sunblossom Meadow - Grasslands - A large, rolling meadow full of berry bushes and flowers galore, home to many Pokemon. It is said that once a year, a group of Shaymin migrate here to pollinate the field with seeds from exotic places. P: Adler's Puddle - Water's Edge/Grasslands - Widely known as the deepest lake in all of Alternia, it is a hot-spot for fisherman who choose to seek out rare Pokemon. It is rumored that those who have dived deep enough have found a lost ruin beneath the waters, but few return. Often they say that they barely escaped a beast's savage jaws. [Journeys that dive in the lake must be handed over to Admin+ control.] Q: Route 6 - Grasslands - A short, grassy route to Adler's Puddle. The Pokemon here are perfect for new trainers coming from Gatsby's Lab, having just starting on their journeys. | | -Oro Island- | -Oro Island- | 17: Golderia Town - Urban - The port city of Golderia is the only city on Oro Island. It is home to many of the wealthy people in Alternia, and as such is known to have very expensive and glamorous stores, items, and pokemon all over the place. Since it is so populated by wealth you would think it'd be populated by criminals, but in truth the city is so wealthy that it's pretty easy to determine who is of the city, and who is not. 18: Huma Temple - Urban/Ruin - A tower rundown with age, and an unmeasured height. within it are three statues paying homage to three Pokemon, Ho-Oh, Lugia and Regigigas. Curiously, there are no stairs allowing access to the other floors. | R: Lake Oni - Water's Edge/Grasslands - A very large, but shallow lake just outside of Golderia Town. It's littered with hundreds of lily pads, all which belong to the numerous Lotad and family that use this place to maintain their species. Other varieties of water type Pokemon can also be found, although less numerous then the Lotad. S: Route 7 - Grasslands/Forest - A long pathway stretching from Golderia to Huma Temple. The path used to be clear for travel to the temple, but the people cared less and less for maintenance, allowing it to become overgrown to the point that the area near the temple is a thick forest. | | -Byayuki Islands- | -Byayuki Islands- | 19: Byaku Mountain - Mountain/Snow - A tall, snow-covered mountain. there is an expansive cave network within, but finding entrances through the constant wind and snow can be difficult. [Journeys that near the top of the mountain must be handed over to Admin+ control.] 20: Frozen Docks - Sea/Snow - A small shipyard with most of the water under ice. Icebreakers are used to allow ships access to the port. 21: Shimo City - Urban/Snow - Shimo is the only established city on the island of Byayuki. It is nested deep within a forest, and is known for being covered in snow due to the snowfall year-around. This city has both a Gym and a Contest for all those who travel here. 22: Aurora Islands - Sea/Rough Terrain - These "islands" appear to move across the sea from day to day. Some suggest atmospheric illusions cloud the view, but a reef around the islands protects them from ships. Only the worthy are allowed near enough to touch their shores. [Only Administrators may put people here.] | T: Winter Pass - Grasslands/Snow - An extensive, snow covered plain that can bring one from the Frozen Docks to Byaku Mountains. U: Frozen Forest -Forest/Snow - A blizzard stricken forest that surrounds Shimo City. Many ice type Pokemon can be found here, as well as other Pokemon that're resilient to the cold. | | -Safari Island- | -Primal Isles- | | 23: Safari Zone - Urban/Ruin/Forest/Grasslands/Rough Terrain/Mountain/Water's Edge/Sea - Located off the coast of Oro Island, this once barren island has now become a preserve for some very rare Pokemon, many of which cannot be found anywhere else in the region. It's many terrains have made it easy for the numerous species of Pokemon to live in their natural habitats, ready for trainers to come looking for them. | 24: Primal Isles - Forest/Grasslands/Rough Terrain/Mountain/Water's Edge/Sea - Surrounded by gigantic whirlpools, giant pillars of shipwreck covered stone, and unforgiving seas, this isle has probably been visited by humans only once in it's history, hundreds of years ago. The island is covered with vast jungles, rolling plains, treacherous hills, and tall mountains, as well as dotted by many rivers and stream. The most distinguished feature, however, would be the massive, lake-sized whirlpool swirling in the center of the island. Nearly a miniature of a region in itself, this island is special; as it's only inhabitants are Pokemon from a prehistoric age. [Only Administrators may put people here.] | | -Champion Isles- | -Forbidden Isles- | 25: Champion Isles - Urban/Grasslands - These are a chain of 6 islands that rest between Byayuki Island and Oro Island. The main island is the headquarters of the Pokemon League Conference, which is also the location of the annual Pokemon League Grand Tournament. At other times, this all purpose stadium can be used for trainer's own purposes whenever they want, to either battle other fellow trainers, or participate in smaller tournaments. The surrounding islands are the locations of the Alternian Elite Four and it's Champion, where trainers who've won the League Tournament and eight of the region's Gyms can battle them to try and conquer the immense challenge. ------ Pokemon League HQ - Urban - A skyscraper built to house the Alternian Pokemon League Officials. Only once you have completed your preparations will you be able to enter the stadium grounds for the Grand Tournament, after showing proof of entry in eight gym badges. It is also through here that, once eligible, you are allowed access to the surrounding islands, where you may try and battle the Elite 4, and Champion. Other times in the year, you may pass uninhibited to use the state of the art Stadium for your own usage, or confer with Pokemon League officials for various forms of buisness. ------ Pokemon League Stadium - Grasslands - A modern stadium made to be the battlegrounds of those that have succeeded in attaining enough badges to participate. The Pokemon League Tournament is held once a year to see who on Alternia is the most worthy to take the Elite Four challenge. At other times, it serves as a practice stadium for those wishing to battle others. Entry at these times isn't limited. | 26: Forbidden Isles - Grasslands/Sea - This is the restricted areas at the middle north most and south east most parts of the region. Horrifically strong Pokemon roam these vastly unexplored lands, which is why access is only granted to those who have successfully completed the Pokemon League Challenge of the Champion Isles. Many Pokemon considered to be legends make a resting place of these islands, further adding to the enormous danger they present to trainers. [Only Administrators may put people here.] ------ Flare Mountain - Mountain/Sea - A massive volcano towers over the horizon. Tremors are rarely felt, but it is very much alive. Rumor has it that there are Pokemon living within the magma, but the heat is almost unbearable for humans that can get close enough to the rim. [Only Administrators may put people here.] |
| -The Nothingness- | ?: Twisting Nothingness - Nothingness - An eternal, empty blackness where few dare to tread. The realm where all are sent by legendaries, whether for punishment, reward, or other use; more commonly known as the Twisting Nothingness. Due to the twisted nature of the dimension, some legends may morph and change it to whatever they wish; It is Giratina's domain. The only way to come here or leave is by a legendary with powers over the nothingness. [Only Universal Mods and Administrators may put people here.] ------ Abyssal Prison - Nothingness/Ruin/Forest/Grasslands/Rough Terrain/Mountain - The abyssal world used to seal the condemned away. It is a part separate from the Twisting Nothingness, but still within the Nothingness itself. Nevertheless, the Abyssal Prison is a dangerous place. It contains various species of Pokemon banished to the Nothingness by Arceus himself. Passage to these lands can be granted by any legendary with the power to send people to the Nothingness. Along with that, a very select few normal Pokemon have the ability to tear through the dimensions and pass between the real world and the prison.
