History:
The history of how I came to be the person I am today is something that I don’t like speaking about. It’s not enough to say that my history is some depressing sob story and that you should pity me, you shouldn’t, but I haven’t had the easiest life out there. Not remembering it is the easiest thing for me to do; remembering it being the hardest.

I was born on July 20, 1991; a scorching hot day in New York when the entire city smelled of rotten garbage. What a way to come into the world. Luckily for myself, my mother had managed to get to the hospital before I slid out into the great wide world. Sadly, she didn’t have health insurance and, as soon as I was well enough, we were placed back on the street.

My father had walked out of her life the minute he had found out she was pregnant, stating that he didn’t want to be a father. “I’ve got some living to do Sam and you and some kid ain’t gonna hold me back.” To think my loving mother named me after the bastard. Anyhow, pressing on…growing up was hard on me and her. Oneday we’d be in a shelter because of some kind soul giving her some change and the next we’d be out on the street. It was a see-saw. Back and forth, back and forth.

Still, I suppose she wanted me to have something of a normal upbringing. We went to the park a lot and she took me swimming; things that normal four, five, and six year olds did in their free time. She taught me how to read as much as she could with our limited resources.

By the time I was ten, my mother was deathly ill with something. Without the money to pay a doctor to examine her, we didn’t know what it was. It was around this time that I started stealing and doing other illicit activity to take care of her. Of course, without anywhere to store her, a proper house for example, I may as well been fighting off the devil with a plastic sword. It was futile.

By the time I was twelve, my mother was dead and I was alone in the world. Well, not for long anyway. It was during a random trip to my favorite park that I happened to meet Gregory and, almost instantly, we became quick friends. It was Gregory that fed and clothed me somedays even though I would plead and beg for him to not pity me. He always said that he was just being a good friend. And he was, I suppose. In either hand, we remained close until late in our teens.

At about fifteen, talk had come over the radio about some new region having been discovered. Of course, living in New York with the government against anything that they didn't sanction, there wasn't a lot of opertunity to actually learn or care about pokemon. There were a few big shots in the news who had the random one by their side, but it was considered a "rich people thing"...or maybe I just considered it that. And why not get on a boat and sail half-way around the world and leave this shitty place behind. It was a dream come true to me, one I wasn't going to let slip away.

After talking with Gregory and telling him my ideas, he told me that he couldn't come with me. Something about having a duty to his family and his mother, his dad having passed away the previous year due to a heart attack. I was sad about it, I won't lie, but it was his choice and I wasn't going to bully him into going with me if he, indeed, didn't want to. I, however, did want to go and as soon as I got enough money to board that ship, I did.

Personality*: Alexion is a rather stoic individual to everyone he meets. He isn’t overly friendly nor cold-hearted, but he doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve. He usually doesn’t say much at first, but when you get him talking about something he’s interested in, he’ll go for hours. However, during those first few minutes where he doesn’t speak, his emotions won’t help you determine his mood any better. He tries to keep a blank canvas, an impassive face during all circumstances. He believes that his emotions could only get in the way of a good or bad judgment, so he usually doesn’t show or deal with them. They are rather foreign to him and when he has to categorize them, has to deal with them, it takes him a while to get over the experience.

Because of his unfamiliarity with emotions, when he does experience in all their surprising glory, he can’t hide it. Well, he actually can, but he doesn’t do a good job with it. However, it’s because of his lack of emotions that others tend to stay away from him or at least give him as wide a berth as possible. Who would want to hang around the deviant who doesn’t smile and hardly has any social skills whatsoever? No one, that’s who. He has trust issues, as well, probably stemming from the fact that people he has met in his past look down on him because of his poor status.

It’s because of him not trusting others that others don’t warm up to him. His silent, almost shadowy aura also causes many to be intimidated by him. The boy has a way about words though and is a smooth-talker. One could fall in love with the tone of his voice if they wanted because of the way he controls it, how it rises and falls at just the right pitch.

He doesn’t like people touching his things nor trying to take them away from him. When he explodes into his temper, it better to just leave him alone than keep goading him on and on and increasing it. He’s been known to do very drastic things when in a rage and he doesn’t come down from that rage for a very long time. It takes forever for him to cool down after an explosion. He can be as quiet as he wants to be whenever he sees fit, though his tongue has been known to give off some of the best comebacks known.
