Psychic Guide: Psychic types, as implied by the name, are unique in their abilities to use their highly evolved brains as a weapon. However, both in and out of battle, every species of Pokémon is unique. As such, a guide has been developed as a reference to all RPers on the abilities of their psychic pokemon.
*Telepathy: Any psychic type can potentially become telepathic. If the Pokémon does not start out with this ability, it can be taught as if it were a move. If ‘Telepathy’ is partially learned, the accuracy of the Pokemon’s speech will likely reflect the percentage learned. Do note that telepathy is intended as an RP device and isn’t intended for combat. Other methods of Psychic communication: Confusion: The attack ‘confusion’ is based largely on the use of imagery implanted in the target’s mind. Using this benevolently can allow a Pokemon to communicate with its trainer by placing images in their head that correspond with what they want to say. However, since the vast majority of Pokemon can’t read or write, the transmission of written words through this ability are not usually a viable method of communication. Any Pokemon/person who isn’t willing to receive the imagery will unconsciously resist it, causing damage appropriate to the move listed in the attack dex. Any Pokemon that knows the attack 'Confusion' may use this method of communication.
Espeon and Medicham: Medicham and Espeon are unique in that their precognition does work in battle. They can use this ability to roughly predict the movements of the opponent's core body by reading their auras, and can use this to gain a slight advantage. However, this doesn't allow the Pokemon to predict the movements of the opponent's limbs or the attacks/moves they will use. It is up to the ref's discretion as to how this will be used in specific circumstances. (Guide written by Skook.) Edited by Zygon, Apr 14 2009, 12:40 AM.
