Popple ftw
Nagou Village is a lush green village with lots of... well, green! It's a great place to start a Pokemon journey, and there's plenty to do! Like the Nagou Manor, which is just up the road is due for some exploring. There's bound to be a spot where Pokemon gather in that gigantic place.

There's also the Nagou Gym, where you can earn your first badge. True, the people in there are rather skilled, but your Volbeat is unstoppable, right?! Maybe not right now, at this moment... but it hopefully will be one day! Next thing you know, you might be the walking out of the gym doors with a smile on your face and badge in your Trainer Card!

If the gym isn't what you're aiming for, how about exploring the Forest of Legends? Maybe it's a little tough, maybe it's not. The only way to find out is to explore it yourself. Remember, don't believe everything you hear-- your eyes never lie.

See? There's plenty to do here in Nagou Village! If you want to stock up on items and head to another town, there's a shop right here in the village. Nothing's stopping you from adventure!...

Except this here Slowpoke. It looks kinda' tough. Perhaps because it's so slow, you'll have the upper hand in battle. By working together with Volbeat, I know you'll dominate this guy!

:slowpoke :female Level 5

Do what you have to do, but have fun while doing it.

Uuuuunnnngh…Tezeh was really getting tired now…and he was beat up good too…but he refused to give up! At the moment his Smokescreen was impeding his view just as much as your pokemon’s, but he intended to change that. Indeed he did launch another Smokescreen, but this one he blew directly at youyou’re your pokemon. Maybe if he created enough confusion he’d be able to pull something off or run away. Running away seemed the wiser course, since he could rest and nurse his wounds. Otherwise he’d probably lose the battle and get captured, which he really would rather not have happen.

That smoke was just what you had told Luc might happen though, and he was ready. He fired a double Silver Wind, blowing as much air as he could at the smoke. He kept at it until most of the smoke was cleared away, which let him and your other pokemon see again. Battling with lowered Accuracy was getting irritating. Tezeh was exposed, and he doubted another Smokescreen would help any. Maybe a nice, hard Fissure would do the trick. It wouldn’t work on Volbeat, but it would take the Piplup and Croagunk out of the picture.

Sighing and gathering what little strength he had left, Tezeh raised his arms, focused and…Croagunk used his powerful legs to leap into a tree, while Luc, acting on instinct, grabbed Malkah and picked her up. The Fissure cracked open just like last time…but now there was no one there to be hit by it. In Luc’s, uh, clutches, Malkah sucked in a breath and fired an airborne Bubble attack, aiming directly for Tezeh. Tezeh was trying to figure out where they had gotten to when he was hit by the attack. No…he tried to remain standing but really, he had nothing left and lost the battle, collapsing on the ground.

Now was the time! For all you knew Tezeh might somehow manage to get up again, which would not be good. You might lose him then. Well, aren’t you going to capture him?!

Matthew walked up to the Tezeh. He crouched down and lightly tossed the Dusk Ball at him. Poor thing. All he wanted was to see his old home again. But that wasn't possible right now. No, unless he could find a way to bring this Tezeh to Dialga, then there was no way of traveling through time to see his home as it once was. Matthew was debating whether to capture him or not. He decided that if he captures him he can show him the world as it is now. He'd be able to show him that just because the world has changed it doesn't mean that it's worse than before. There were many places to travel to, many wonders to discover. Perhaps after he heads to Team Scion's building he'd travel to the Rythos Islands.

But for now he had to wait for Tezeh to be captured. While he waited he turned to his pokemon.

"Malkah, you were fantastic. I'm proud of you for learning that Bubble attack. You deserve a rest. Croagunk, you were great too. You're quite the fighter even in poor odds. You used Tezeh's attack to your advantage. I think I'll call you Arumani, meaning cunning in an ancient language. As for you, Luc, you did wonderful as well. Here, you need this."

He used the potion on Luc. The little firefly seemed to enjoy the boost in his health. Matthew then turned to the Dusk Ball currently capturing Tezeh.

"As for you. You have great spirit and incredible determination. I have great respect for your noble spirit. I shall call you Azil should you be captured."

Whoot! A big mighty rock warrior dude! Better yet, the Fragment Pokemon. Awesome. I must say, great work. You should also be glad that I'm in a good mood and didn't decide to have some bird, an evil bird at that, heck all birds are evil, snatch that dude up. But, you're also lucky that I hate birds.

Back onto your journey though, the chime from the pokeball rang through your ears, of course. After all, it was, like, dead almost, right? "DING!" I suggest we throw a party and have fun....with octopus sticks and stuff. Oh well, to Mellinia town, right? You were walking, now out of the murky swamp, on a peaceful dirt road. Quite...coozzzyyy, may I add! Suddenly!

"Russle, russle...RUSSLE!" Screamed the bushes! Suddenly, two blue birds flew out from it, inches from your face. Behind them? A purple snake. Epic. TRY GUESSING BEFORE MOVING ON!!! IT WILLL BE AWESOMENESS!! Oh, and in case guessing is too hard, its two Taillow and a Ekans!

Suddenly, the Ekans threw himself off the ground and grabbed the leg of on of the Taillow. He pulled him straight down, slamming her into the ground with a loud thud. Almost instantly, he wrapped around the Taillow, who gave a loud screech of pain. A young Taillow, probably her son, stared at his mom get gulped down the Ekans throat. The Ekans gave a sinister hiss with his tongue. his tongue senced you, and his head snapped to you with a menacing stare....that. pierced. in. to. your. very. soul.

You can battle them, maybe even capture one. Or, now I prefer this, being a bird hater, you can leave this Taillow to die. Now, leaving this Taillow to die isn't all bad! I mean, his mom died, right? END HIS MISERY AND LEAVE HIM TO DIE BY THE HANDS OF THIS EPIC EKANS!!!!! By the way, I love Ekans now. Did I mention I hate birds? IN FACT! I hate them so much, I'm going to tell you that you have an option to help the Ekans eat that Taillow!

You can, if you choose to fight, befriend the bird, but, if this bird is an idiot and decides to go against both of you....it might be choatic.

Yes! Tezeh was captured! Finally! This was one powerful Tezeh. He knew Fissure for god's sakes! Well, he was Matthew's now, and he'd treat him like a friend, and not just a tool. He'd show him that the world isn't all bad. He'd show him that humans aren't all bad. His other Pokemon would be great friends to him, Matthew was sure. He picked up the Dusk Ball with Azil inside it and put it into his bag. He returned Malkah and Arumani to their Pokeballs and let Luc hop onto his shoulder before continuing on.

After a little while, he heard some rustling in a nearby bush. Preparing himself for a difficult battle, Matthew and Luc got into a defensive stance. When the two Taillow came out being chased by the Ekans, Matthew prepared to order Luc to attack the snake. But he was silenced when he saw the mother Taillow swallowed whole. How could that Ekans do such a thing! Well, Taillow were their natural prey, but still it's disgusting! That's completely ignoring the fact that smoked Magikarp is Matthew's favourite food.

The young Tailow looked scared. Matthew didn't want to see the poor thing die, so he decided to help. Luc could feel this and hopped off Matthew's shoulder and got into an offensive stance. Matthew walked up to the little Taillow and gently rubbed his thumb under his chin.

"Hey there little guy. I'm so sorry about your mother. But don't worry, we'll teach this evil Ekans a lesson. Luc, use Confuse Ray followed by a Tackle! Now, if you want to help us, you could use Growl and then Peck on that mean Ekans. I'd understand if you're too shaken up to fight, but I would really admire you if you could help us fight this beast."

Matthew stroked under the bird's chin once more. An Ekans would make a good trade and the Taillow could be a strong member of his team and a good friend.

The tiny bird was quite shaken. Wouldn't you be? I'm pretty sure I'd flip if I saw my mom get swallowed by a snake. The poor little thing was trembling all over obviously very scared of the snake Pokemon, but it still listened to your words. Nodding, Taillow glided over beside Luc and landed gracefully. Most likely it was going to wait for your Pokemon to make the first move.

As this was happening Ekans was taken back by the presence of a human and immediately aggravated. The purple snake's body coiled defensively and it's head watching your every move. It's thin tongue flicking furiously scenting the air and testing. He could taste the fledgling on the air particles and feel the vibration as Taillow landed besides the bug Pokemon. All it wanted was it's meal and he could feel the mother's last labored breaths as she suffocated within his gut. Oh how good it is to be a predator.

Luc slowly began to store the psychic energy behind his mind's eye and in an instant released it towards Ekans. Taillow also released a small tweet of a growl, but still menacing. The poison snake swayed for a moment but was obviously hit. Almost instantaneously the vigor in it's eyes was replaced by a dull and almost terrified look as it's body loosened it's coil. Taillow and Volbeat took this opportunity to attack, working in great synchronization with one another.

Taillow was the first to strike upon Ekans with a furry like no other as it used peck upon the snake hitting it several times with it's hard beak. Even from your distance you could hear the sickening pops of flesh as blood was drawn. As Taillow's attack ended the snake was tackled by Luc and the air knocked out of it's lungs. The two make an excellent team indeed.

Unfortunately while pulling back, Ekans snapped out of it's confusion and was able to catch Taillow with a bite attack and snare the poor bird with wrap. Taillow began to struggle and tweet but was silenced as Ekans used his muscular body to squeeze tighter. Luc returned to you with deep concern on his face and breathing hard. What shall you do now? Your Pokemon is very tired and the matter not really your business. Nature is nature. Leave Ekans to his meal, as he's earned it, or save the Taillow?

Matthew was torn. His own Pokemon was tired and wounded, but this bird needed his help. Besides, an Ekans this strong would be a good partner. Matthew took out another Pokeball and let out Arumani. The poison frog was much more energetic than his others and had more strength. He returned Luc to his Pokeball, giving the firefly the rest he deserves. Arumani saw the Ekans strangling the Taillow and knew immediately what was going on.

"Arumani, use an Astonish to get the Ekans to flinch and release the Taillow, then use a Mud Slap on him! Taillow, try to use Focus Energy and then Peck after you get free. If Arumani's attacks don't free you use Peck on the Ekans to get him to let go!"

Matthew felt terrible for the bird, and though nature was nature, he still felt morally obliged to help the poor bird. He started absentmindedly humming a tune he heard in the forest one day many years ago.

He was walking in the forest when suddenly he heard a woman singing this tune. Her voice was beautiful. Matthew had spent the whole day and night searching for her, but he never found her. The voice felt like it was coming from within his own mind, yet he knew it couldn't be.

Later, when he gave up, he found that he'd wandered farther than normal. He wasn't used to this part of the forest. He was soon surrounded by wild Pokemon. They were powerful Pokemon, and hungry. He seemed to be the meal. He back up until he hit a tree and thought he was done for. He started humming the tune, and amazingly, the wild Pokemon felt calmed by it. They left him alone and he made his way back to the village.

Matthew had only known that song to calm the Pokemon of the deep forest, so it had no effect on the Ekans, but it was still a comforting tune. Arumani seemed to enjoy the tune as well, him being from the forest. But instead of calming him, it gave him an empowered drive to help this bird. He concentrated and prepare to dive in with lightning speed for the Astonish.

Arumani's chest began to swell and then he released as a yell. Ekans, reluctant to give up his meal, took the blow directly from the astonish. Luckily, the snake pokemon did release Taillow and in response the shaken bird flew away and began Focus thus quadrupling the probability of the Taillow scoring a critical hit. Ekans was coiling himself back up by now and ready for your attacks, the snake had a few more tricks lined up for Taillow.

Arumani then began his next attack and Taillow was readying his attack as well. Together they began to move in, the frog running and Taillow flying low. Ekan's rattle began to shake furiously in warning but it was too late. Ekan's jaw detached and large spikes tainted purple began shooting from within the snake's body. Taillow was able to stop his attack and fly up while Arumani tried desperately to dodge. Despite his best efforts the frog was simply not fast enough to dodge all of the projectiles and was hit. The barbs hit hard and Croagunk was flung back.

While Ekans was watching the effect of his attack, the snake was not watching Taillow from above as the pokemon took a dive right at it. You knew it was going to happen before it did. With its entire body's force and the inertia it had created, Taillow dove straight into the purple pokemon with its beak. The sound alone was gross but the sight... beyond words. The blue bird was now covered with stains of red and the Ekans hissed and writhed in pain.

Taillow quickly flew back to your side, along with Arumani. Because of such a harsh impact, Taillow had taken some damage as well and had even chipped the left side of his beak. It was barely noticeable behind all the blood now covering the bird. The iron smell was overpowering. On the other side of the small 'arena' Ekans was extremely.... well pissed. The snake was obviously loosing and was wounded badly yet the Pokemon's spirit was strong. With a fury, he lifted his head and shot yet another Poison Sting at.... you! You had mere seconds to react or have yourself hit but in an all too human reaction, you froze. The barbs were milliseconds away when something pushes you out of the line of fire. It was Arumani. The frog was immediately hit with tens of small stings, but luckily since he's a poison type, he was not poisoned. Arumani had saved you! Looking up you noticed Taillow, he had gotten away in time. What now trainer?

Matthew watched as Arumani swiftly moved in and saved the young Taillow. When the poison barbs came in at him, he took the hit badly, but he got back up and waited for the next round to begin. Then when the barbs came at Matthew himself, well, he was frozen in place. He thought he was done, the poison in the barbs surely enough to kill him. Then the flash of purple. Who? What?

Arumani had saved him! He'd taken the hit with true grace, and with the spirit of a soldier, protecting his general above all else. He was stunned. He'd just caught the little guy a couple days ago and already he was sacrificing himself for his sake! He had true respect for Arumani. After a moment of cringing from the pain and the poison, the poison frog Pokemon got up, ready and willing for battle.

And then there's the little Taillow. He had just watched his mother be devoured and yet he fought with bravery and valor. His strength was pretty impressive for such a small and young bird. He'd make a very powerful friend. When this was all over, Matthew would offer him the choice to join him. If he declines, well, that's that. Matthew won't pressure him or battle him, he'll let him make the choice for himself. He'd never take a friendly Pokemon against its will.

The Ekans stared them down, blood dripping from its body. It was quite nauseating. Matthew repressed the urge to gag and gave his next orders.

"Alright, Taillow, I want you to go and use two quick Pecks on the front of his body. If he looks like he's going to constrict you then get out of there quickly. If he uses Poison Sting try to avoid it. Try your hardest to break the snake's skin. Arumani, after Taillow attacks, use Mud Slap and aim for the open cuts. That way the mud will get inside his body for maximum damage!"

The orders were ruthless and maybe even cruel, but the vile snake deserved it. He had mercilessly devoured that innocent Taillow, and though it may be his food source, he didn't need to do it in such an evil way. He'd show him the true meaning of maeda c'neged maeda; an eye for an eye.

I know you're out there somewhere...
If you're really going to show this Ekans an eye for an eye does that mean you're going to end up gobbling him up or having one of your Pokemon gobble him up in a horrific kind of way? And why are you able to give this Taillow orders as if it were your own Pokemon when you haven't captured him? He must really be desperate to get away from this snake, which shouldn't be that surprising I guess, what with the sight of his mother getting gobbled down the way she did. Still, it shouldn't come as a surprise to you that Taillow completely disregarded your orders and did what he wanted to do to that Ekans. Now now, you can't get in the way with someone's vengeance, although apparently you can help.

Taillow used a Focus Energy to heighten his own sensitivity to the weak spots on the snake, which probably wasn't that hard to do. Still, it wouldn't hurt to get a bit more edge on Ekans, and Taillow now had the best advantage above everyone else in being able to pick out weak points much better. Diving in, he used a Peck, tearing into one of the wounds that was bleeding, and the Ekans let out a great hiss before chomping down on the little bird with a wicked Bite attack, causing him to screech out in pain. Clearly there was no doubt that Ekans wouldn't be letting go, and he might have gotten another little treat if Arumani didn't know to take this as his cue to come on in. Immediately, he started throwing mud on Ekans, getting into his sores, causing him to drop the bird and hiss at your Fighting/Poison Pokemon. A Leer was used to bring his Defense down, although that was it for this round. Next?

Oh, and Croagunk is part Poison, so he can't be poisoned, and this mistake is being marked down for Rinjii so that way I'll remember to put him on a warning should he make another mistake. A few HP will be added to make up for the "poisoning".

Well, the Taillow didn't seem to listen to him, but Arumani sure did. The young bird just watched his mother get eaten by this snake, no wonder he'd want to just go and hit him hard. But he was being a bit too offensive. For his own good he should be a bit more careful. But now was no time to be a nagging mother. The Ekans was almost done, he had very little health left. Arumani was looking a little tired, but he still could manage. The Taillow was a bit more tired, but he was hanging in there.

"Alright, he's almost down. Just one more round. Arumani, use a Mud Slap on the bleeding wounds, and if one doesn't down him, just use another. Taillow, do what you think will be the most damaging, but be careful about it. You don't want to get yourself killed."

Matthew hoped the young bird could control himself. He didn't want to see the little guy get himself hurt or worse. He also wanted to see that Ekans in pain. He couldn't tolerate any creature acting brutal to another. It was just wrong. Unless one was being cruel to a creature that had already been cruel, in which case it was okay. Matthew got a Pokeball ready to throw as soon as that Ekans was knocked out.

Matthew noticed that his Poketch beeped yet again. It seems as though he won the recent Zaroff Island month lottery. He won two Rare Candies. He entered his numbers for the next lottery as well as the weekly one. He collected his two Rare Candies and put them in his bag. But back to the battle. Clutching his Pokeball, he waited patiently for Ekans to fall.

Cocking his head to one side, the Taillow chirped softly, under his breath. He was tired; after struggling with the snake and watching his mother die just like that … he almost had no motivation to push on. However, thinking of what his mother did for him, he felt that he should push on, maybe just for her and her only. Definitely not for you, though. You just happened to be in on the situation … so how was he going to trust you? Chirping once again, the bird Pokémon beat his wings against his back, starting to take flight.

His eyes glinting once again despite the shrubs almost shielding off the sunlight, the Taillow dove in for another attack to the Ekans’s already torn body. With a cry of his own name, he steeled himself for the imminent impact when he did hit the snake’s body. Yet … the impact he was bracing himself for didn’t come. Perhaps he was a little too tired to think or focus properly?

Meanwhile, Arumani raised his arms, smashing them into the ground. Casting a short glance of about a second or two at the bird, he shifted his gaze back to the snake. Slapping his arms once again to draw more mud, he used the second Mud Slap as you asked of him. Yet, you could notice that he was just a tiny bit reluctant to use the second Mud Slap as the Taillow was so close to the Ekans by then – maybe, a hint of friendship? It was hard to tell, since the Croagunk himself was tired out by the fighting.

As you looked at your Pokétech, you didn’t waste any time when you figured out that your inventory was slightly expanded with the arrival of two Rare Candies, and turned back to the battle without further ado. With the Pokéball clutched in your arms, you waited for the Ekans to fall so that you could catch him. Pretty good timing, if you ask me – even though the snake was trying valiantly to steer away from the incoming passing out, he wasn’t capable of defending himself against a Taillow wanting revenge for his mother and a Croagunk dead set on slapping mud on him.

Taillow fell on the ground, very much tired from his flight attempt. He hadn’t really launched his Peck attack when the Ekans’s head fell unto the ground with a thud, but he was glad that his mother was somehow avenged … she was lunch, after all. Moving his beak weakly, no sound sounded from his mouth as he tried to get back into the air: not to thank you, but to get away. Maybe you should try to do something; I don’t know, comfort him for his loss?

A smirk on his face, Arumani stretched out and started to move back towards you. This was your chance, was it not? Do what you have to do, young man.

The Ekans was down! Matthew smiled and threw the Pokeball in his hands at the fallen snake. While he waited for the capture to complete, he walked over to the small bird. It was very tired, and struggling to fly. Matthew felt terrible for the bird. He held out his hand for him to rest on. He looked him in the eyes and saw nothing but sadness. Matthew looked at him and truly cared for the little guy.

"Hey. Look, I know you just lost your mother, and it must hurt. A lot. Trust me, I know what it's like to lose a mother."

Matthew paused for a moment, recalling the sight of his mother's bones.

"It hurts now, and it may for a long long time. But it won't help you to stay here and mope the rest of your life. YOu don't have to say yes, and if you fly away then I won't stop you. But I would love for you to join me and my friends. We can take you all around the world, travel across this great land. Besides, you're hurt. I can heal you up. If you want to go your own way...I won't stop you. But I think it would be wonderful if you'd join me. WHat do you say?"

Matthew held out a Pokeball for the little Taillow. He looked at him pleadingly and prayed he'd accept. Arumani walked up to the two and started speaking to Taillow.

"I'd join him. I didn't want to at first, I resented all humans. But then I saw Matthew give compassion to his Pokemon and he even prayed to the spirit of the forest. He's a wonderful human, better than many Pokemon I know. He'll protect you and raise you as a friend, not a tool. Please, come along with us. You won't regret it."

Whatever Arumani said, he was finished saying it. He looked like he was pleading with the Taillow to join Matthew. At least, he hoped that's what he was saying. He held out the Pokeball and looked at Taillow with hopeful yet friendly eyes. He started humming the tune of the forest absentmindedly. Arumani started humming along with it. As a Pokemon of the forest, maybe it would have some effect on Taillow.

Phasing Flashback Defender Vigilance

The Pokeball went to work as your attention turned to the newly orphaned bird. With a sound foreign to nature, the ball popped open and sucked up the Ekans. Having accomplished the physically impossible, the modest thing snapped shut and fell to the ground. It began to shake, even as it fell through the air. It rolled as it hit the ground, coming to a rest against a tuft of grass mere inches from where it hit the ground. It was more of a weed, really, and it swayed back and forth in unison with the shaking ball. A soft chime announced that the ball's captive had been subdued. Both the plant and the ball lay still on the ground, their dance now at an end. All that was left was for your you to pick up the Pokeball and, if you so desired, send it to storage.

The ball, however, would have to stay for the moment. Your attentions were focused on the lonely Taillow. It fluttered and backed away as you approached it. But, it stayed to hear your offer and to take in the encouraging words of your Pokemon. It glared at the Pokeball suspiciously, then at you, then back at the Pokeball. You could almost see the emotionally strained cogs working away inside of the mind of the little bird. It looked at Arumani and gave a quick chirp before suddenly hopping over the Pokeball. It landed on your wrist and, using its wings for balance, climbed its way up your arm. It stopped and sat on your shoulder. It ruffled its feathers and pressed itself shoulder as you started humming. It closed its eyes and its mind drifted away to the melodious sound of the forest song. Perhaps it was just tired from the battle and didn't have the strength to flee. Perhaps it thought of testing you with a trial run, if you will. Maybe it just didn't want to be alone after losing its mother. Either way, it seemed that the wild Taillow would be traveling with you, at least for the time being.

You stood and felt a sharp tug at the bottom of your coat. Looking down, you saw that it was your Croagunk, who was trying to get your attention. He held up a rolled up piece of paper for your consideration. Ragged tears ran about the edges of the paper, while several small holes were spread about the center. One corner looked as if it had been nibbled on by some hungry passerby. You unrolled the paper and found that it was a flier of some sort. The faded ink looked like it had taken all sorts of abuse, ranging from rain wash to overexposure to sunlight. Despite the neglect, you could just make out that it was advertising a tournament:

The 100th Annual Tournament of Aegis

On June 1st, 2009, Alternia will be holding its 100th annual Tournament of Aegis. The Tournament allows people to enter up to three Pokemon. Matches are organized randomly, and entrants will be allowed to use each of their three Pokemon in the fights. However, it is only one-on-one combat. Two or more Pokemon on the field results in immediate disqualification. The Tournament is divided into multiple tiers based on skill level. There are 24 possible tiers, but this year, estimated funds will only be enough to support five of them. We will be fielding trainers from Tiers 1-4. Tier 5 will host all trainers more skilled than those in Tier 4. If no one enters your tier, you will be put into a lower tier with a handicap. The Tournament charges a fee of $100 that pays for mass transit to the facilities from all three major cities, the facilities themselves, and the prizes. This year's prizes will be the following:

  • 1st Place: Trophy, $2000, and a Tier X 1st Place Badge
  • 2nd Place: Trophy, 2 Ultra Balls, a Great Ball, and a Tier X 2nd Place Badge
  • 3rd Place: Medal, One Great Ball, One Specialty Ball, and a Tier X 3rd Place Badge
  • 4th Place: Tier X 4th Place Badge
  • 5th Place: Tier X 5th Place Badge

The Tournament will be held at the foot of the Joukai Tower. Legend says that this Tournament gives the legendary Pokemon of Emotion, Mesprit, Knowledge, Uxie, and Willpower, Azelf, the power to keep Alternia safe. This tournament will also keep the Joukai Tower a place of peace and calm. The excitement, strategy, and desire of the trainers and their Pokemon makes the source of the three fairies' power regain its strength. Thus, this is the Tournament of Aegis, the tournament that keeps Alternia safe. Legend also states that this tournament revives the power of other artifacts of power that keep the power of legendary Pokemon at their peak.

Do you have what it takes to be in the legendary Tournament of Aegis? Registration tables open on May 31st at the Joukai Tower Arena. Be there!

The Ekans was caught and the Taillow was joining him, at least temporarily. He smiled when the little bird climbed onto his shoulder. He stroked his chin softly and smiled at him warmly. He looked down and took the flyer from Arumani. It looked like it was for some kind of tournament. Matthew decided it would be an excellent way to train his Pokemon, and maybe someone there would know something about Team Scion. He looked back down to Arumani.

"Thanks for finding this, Aru. Here, you deserve a rest," He returned Aru to his Pokeball, "As for you, little guy, I think I'll call you Emez. It means valiant in an ancient language. I think it's a very fitting name."

He stroked Emez's chin again then walked up to pick up Ekans's Pokeball. He put him up for trade on the Poketch Trading Network (PTW). After placing the Pokeball in his bag, he continued on. The sun was high in the sky, and he had some progress to make. He was content walking through the swamp alone, it was very peaceful. He was singing the Forest Song while walking. It seemed to calm him and Emez down a bit.

The bird was tired and weak, and it slept on his shoulder. Or maybe he was just resting, who knows. But the song seemed to help sooth his mind. Matthew knew all too well how it was to lose a mother, recalling the discovery of his mother's bones. His mind was filled with sadness. Sadness and anger. But he continued to sing the song and it calmed him back down.

After a while, he started to see what he thought was the top of a building. Was he near Millenia Town? Or was it just his mind playing tricks on him? It could just be him imagining things, after all, he has been wandering in a swamp for Arceus knows how long. His Pokemon were too weak to fight anymore so he prayed he didn't have to fight any more battles.

Onward! We got a world to take over!
You stubble over logs, climb over fences and slip over moss... and then you find a huge gate resting on a huge road. The sign was complete with bright paint and gleaming, round lights. The monster of a gateway was in an arch shape with a few guards under it. On the arch in blue, red and orange letters was the phrase "We kindly welcome you to Millenia!". Happy day! You have made it to Millenia in one peace... and a sleeping Taillow. You rocked this journey. You walk over to the arch where the guards briefly frisk you and then smile. "Welcome. Hope you enjoy your stay.", they let you pass... and into the big city you go!

You walk into town as night began shoving the orange glow of the sky away. Replacing it with a very dark shade of blue... almost black. Soon enough, it would be black. But not quite yet... the day still had some fight left in it. The town looked similar to the non-pokemon worlds famed New York City.. only Pokemonish. A tiny ground of violinists, saxophones and tuba players gathered under a street light playing, a hat half full of coins lay at their side. A battle between a boy and his sister was going on at the sidewalk... the sidewalk that had many more cracks than it used to and was tan with age. The boy was using a Trapinch while the girl sent out a Cherubi. along with these two sights, there was a Starly pecking at and old hot dog bun, a Girl with brown hair returning from a small trip to the shoe store and a Whismur danced around in a puddle.

Without warning, Arumani (who I shall refer to as Croagunk) flung out of her pokeball to look up at the stars. The stars were somewhat muffled by the city's busy lights... so Croagunk let out a long... depressed sigh. The sigh was loud enough to get the girl coming from the shoe store to look at you and your pokemon. She dropped her jaw at seeing you... or more likley your pokemon perhaps. She hopped over to you with an astonished expression on her face. She picked your frog up and felt its muscles, its poison sacs and held it to see how heavy it was. "You... your Croagunk is just plain perfect... the right size, it's quite strong and its my favorite pokemon!" The girl squealed. "How would you like to trade your *yawn* Croagunk for this pokemon, a potion,a Razor fang and a pecha berry?" the girl inquires as she pops a pokeball open.

From the pokeball, a Nidoran emerged. The small pokemon looked very, very young... and seemed to have the Gentle nature... which meant it probably liked bitter food... such as rawst berries. You did want a nidoran, correct? Here's the opportunity to get one!
