This peaceful, quiet village is where you're going to start, eh? Looking for you sister in this wide, unforgiving world of pain and suffering. You stood near the Pokemon Center, looking this way and that and trying to find something that would give you a clue in the right direction. There wasn't much going on right now as the whole town was mostly filled with retired old folk content to sit on their porches and tell stories of impossible feats. One was actually rambling on on how he accomplished going to school in the snow, barefoot, uphill both ways, for six miles. Of course, he probably only lived a mile from school and this section didn't get snow that often...did it?

Back to the present though, you sighed as you tried to figure out what you could do to start your quest. Tia could be of some help or you could attempt going door to door to see if anyone had seen her. Or you could head into the center and ask the nurse. She probably knew most of the people here.

And then the entire place seemed to come alive. An ambulance screeched around the corner and slammed to a stop beside the center. A couple of guys lifted out a stretcher with what looked like Doduo sprawled on it. It was missing several feathers from its entire body and looked like it had fought with a flamethrower and lost badly. A girl, about 15, raced after them into the center, sobbing loudly.

Well, that was weird. You could go see what's up and stay away from where the Doduo came from or start your search somewhere not as chaotic.
Silence is merely another language.

So after acquiring a pretty powerful pokemon and passing a pretty strange test you were now left in the dark, to wander through the rest of the route in silence. Who was that stranger, he seemed to just come and go...there's a legend about the Wanderer who travels the world with his pokemon. But he's supposed to be a lot stronger...but the guy you fought does match the description of the wanderer...in fact, here's the information from the Alternian Files right here...

Posted Image

This leader is a mysterious traveling master. Among Alternians, he has an almost mystical status. It is said that he will appear only to those whom he deems worthy. Though his Pokemon appear weak at first, do not be fooled. He has taken on folks far stronger than he.

Could it be the same guy? That's for you to figure out. Anyway now that everything was settled you had begun wandering for a helicopter pad, most likely found in a city, but who knows what other crazy things may happen. So wandering down the beaten path you could see sleeping pokemon all around. There something surprisingly peaceful about the whole thing, especially after such an eerie encounter.

After awhile of walking you did come to a set of buildings that seemed to be quite populated. You had noticed it whilst walking and decided it a good place to search for information at least. Luckily for you, a man there pointed you in the right direction and skipping all the boring details, you found yourself on a helicopter and landing in The Meteoric Plains about an hour later. By now you must be exhausted. You could take a quick rest...or you could go in search of the science building, I don't really know what it is, or what it looks like...but isn't that half the fun?

(OOC - Sorry for taking so much control of your character but as you mentioned, we're streamlining progress.)

Cole vaulted himself from the stiff helicopter seat and landed hard on the rough surface of the Meteoric Plains, causing a small dust cloud to rise from the ground at his feet. He gave a stretch or two to relieve the stress put on his back by the terribly uncomfortable ride and then turned to thank the pilot for the ride over to the plains. His pleasantries taken care of, Cole set his sights to the expanse of tough and rugged land that was the Meteoric Plains. It was a tough landscape, covered in craters and jagged rock, but had an almost wondrous quality at the same time. Traces of things from the furthest expanses of space made their homes here, and the far-reaching scenery emanated a strange and mysterious aura. At the sight and feel of this exotic landscape, goosebumps ran their way all over Cole's flesh. He had hardly ever left Nogou up until a little while ago, and a place like this was nearly the polar opposite to what he was used to. There was not a tree in sight, and the ground was not covered in lush, green grass, but in beige earth. The entire situation was something that took Cole completely out of his element as a person and as a trainer.

Tia, who had taken more and more to staying out of her Pokeball, leapt down from Cole's shoulder and mirrored her trainer. She stretched, quite comically, and then turned to the helicopter pilot, thanking him with a wave of her paw before he departed in a gust of strong wind, small rocks, and rough sand. Both trainer and Pokemon shielded their eyes from the departing helicopter as it rose into the sky and flew off into the distance. Cole then turned to Tia and gave her a smile before hoisting her back up onto his shoulder. The young trainer did not want his oldest friend hurting her paws on the rough terrain. Next, despite the craziness of the past twenty-four hours and the exhaustion that had been slowly making stabs at Cole ever since he had finished his battle with the mysterious man, the trainer was ready to press on over the plains. The helicopter ride was not the most comfortable thing in the world, but it had provided Cole with enough time off his feet for him to advance without a hindrance.

After letting the alien surroundings soak in for a few more moments, Cole took his first steps onto the Meteoric Plains and hopefully towards the science center, where he would be able to exchange the space rock he had happened upon for something special. What exactly Cole would be receiving was still a mystery to the young trainer, but if he was reading correctly into the context of the notification he had received on his Poketech, it was something quite exciting. Not that he had read the notification too carefully, but he was relatively certain that it did not specify exactly what he was to receive for his discovery. Even if it did specify, Cole had chosen not to look for the specification within the message, it made things more exciting. Even though some would say that excitement was the last thing he needed right now, Cole would firmly disagree. Over the past few days he had learned that there is no such thing as too much excitement. He had been exposed to more excitement during his brief adventure than he ever had during his uneventful childhood in Nogou.

Hopefully, Cole began thinking to himself as he strolled over the rough plain, the excitement will keep on coming. The battle with that hooded guy was really frustrating, but I loved pretty much every second of it. I really can't get enough of battling recently, it's just such an adrenaline rush. I've never really experienced anything quite like it. Maybe once I find Sarah I should start challenging Gym Leaders... That would be great... They're supposedly really strong though, I don't think I could take them in my current state. Which I guess means that I'll hafta start training pretty hardcore, or catch some strong Pokemon at the very least. Maybe I should do both... Oh well, I'll decide what to do once I get whatever it is that I'm getting for this rock.

As the meteorite crossed his mind, Cole slipped his bag off his shoulder and heaved the large stone out from within its depths. He gave the strange stone another look over, observing the unusual nooks and crannies of it and searching for the source of the strange red glow. After brief observation, Cole had found nothing that gave away any special properties of the rock outside of its appearance. Deciding it was a job best left to the professionals, the rookie trainer began returning it to his bag. That is, until, his attention was caught by a building that was quickly drawing near. From the distance Cole was at right now, it appeared to be the science building from the Poketech announcement. At the very least it was a start, it was a very sciencey looking place. Redoubling his pace, the young trainer headed off towards the building and towards the prize they had waiting for him.

...Well, whoever told you that your aim was a science building.. Informed you wrong. There's no buildings actually in the Meteoric Plains.. And this was where the exchange would be taking place. Really, who would make a building in a field that regularly gets pounded by meteors? Anyway... As you approached the science building, you saw a rather large poster board set up in the front. it read:

"WE ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE METEOR EVENT, PLEASE GO TO THE SETUP IN THE METEORIC PLAINS FOR THE ADVERTISED HANDOFF."

..Apparently, you weren't the only one given misdirection. Well, the setup was rather large, so you bypassed the building and walked out to the crater-ridden field.

The event was set up around a very large meteor, that also had a pulsing crystaline substance embedded on it's sides. There was a deck like area build around it, and stairs for workers of the event to get into the large meteor, along with a crane to lower themselves into it. There was a larger main area build onto the deck, where a large table was set up. There was a man sitting behind the table, and on his left was a large bin with the collected meteors, and to his right a crate of Pokeballs, apparently the reward. You made your way to the middle of the field where this was all located, and climbed up a set of wooden stairs. As you got to the top, a staff member of some sort directed you to the large table.

"Ah, welcome young trainer. You have something for us, I'm betting?"

With a slight nod, you took the large, black stone out of your back and rested it on the table.
:blackmeteor"Ooh, one of the black ones. These are quite rare among the ones that fell. As promised, here is your Pokemon. It's a Dragon/Electric type that fell to the earth in the large meteor behind you. The small meteors have some.. use to us, so we decided to hand out the dragons in return for trainers bringing these marvelous stones to us. Here's yours, good sir, and thank you for participating!"
:cestarHe handed you a Pokeball, which contained the aforementioned dragon type. As your party was full, it quickly joined the recently caught Pikachu in your computer box. Well then... the dragon was apparently the same level as the Pikachu.. Which one was better, I wonder...? The dragon that fell from the sky, or the electric rodent that you obtained from a mysterious traveler, who really wasn't the mysterious Wander Gym Leader, but looked kinda like him. I can say this, because if it was him, you definitely wouldn'tve won. His skill is that horrific, that he could've taken down a lone trainer with only a slightly strong Pikachu.

Well, we're getting away from the events at hand, aren't we? You were led off the platform and back down the stairs. This time, you took a closer look at one of the crystal pannels on the very large meteor. It was almost something like a window.. Inside, you could barely make out the figure of a man, and several small figures around him. Uncaught dragons, maybe?

You were now off of the main platform itself, in the middle of the crater filled Meteoric Plains. Kijutsu City was a short walk away, and you may have some team ordering to do, maybe? Up to you now..

Cole hopped off the bottom step of the wooden platform with a smile on his face and a skip in his step. He took a look at Tia perched on his shoulder, and then set off back onto the plains. This time, he was heading in the direction of the large, grey sky scrapers on the near horizon. With his brand new dragon Pokemon and the Pikachu he had received from the mystery trainer both being sent to the PC storage system, it was clear to the young trainer where he should head next. Once he entered the city, the plan was to hit both the Pokemon Center and the local Pokemart before deciding his next move. Personally, Cole could not wait to reach Kijutsu, he had never been to a big city before. The largest settlement of people he had ever seen was Nogou, and if what Cole had heard was true, then Kijutsu was hundreds of times larger than Nogou. Now, he was finally able to appraise the city with his own eyes.

The rookie trainer quickly approached the city limits, his pace enhanced by the anticipation of seeing the city up close and the prospect of strengthening his team of Pokemon. What he beheld there was much more than Cole could have ever imagined. There was buildings in every direction, ranging from two to fifty stories high. Some of the buildings were far and away the largest things Cole had ever seen in his seventeen years of life. They were simply mind-blowing to say the least. That without even mention the vast amount of people that were milling about the streets of the great city. They were packed so tightly together that Cole was not sure if he would be able to even fit in the city streets. He was merely standing wdie-eyed at the edge of the city, both he and Tia were awestruck by the vastness of what lay before them. They took a few minutes to take it all in, and set off in search of the local Pokemon Center.

Luckily, Cole was able to find the Pokemon Center with relative ease. Although he had been spurned quite rudely in any attempt to ask for directions, the large, red roof stood out obnoxiously amongst the sea of buildings. As he entered the pearly white structure, Cole was met by a very familiar scent and feel. This Center nearly mirrored the Pokemon Center in Nogou. Granted, it was on a much larger scale than Nogou's Pokemon Center, but the overall feel of the building and the stale medical scent about the air was exactly the same. The smile returned to Cole's face in light of the familiar surroundings and he walked happily over to the counter, presenting the nurse there with the five Pokeballs containing all of his team members outside of Tia who had not sustained any injuries since Nogou.

Cole and Tia spent the next few minutes just playing around, something they had very little time to do as of late, as they waited for the nurse to finish curing the rest of the team. Once she had finished, Cole took the five Pokeballs and headed immediately to the PC at the end of the counter. He used the storage system to deposit Sigurd, Ledyba, and Chatot, and then withdrew Pikachu and Cestar. It was nothing personal against Sigurd and the others, he was just looking to bring the strongest team possible with him at this point, and he also wanted to keep one spot open in his party just in case. Before he could set off to his next destination however, he decided it would be best to introduce his new team members to the rest of their traveling partners. So he then gathered all four other Pokeballs in his hands and moved to the far corner of the Pokemon Center. Once there, Cole tossed all four balls up into the air in a large, deliberate motion.

The balls all exploded outward simultaneously in an overwhelming flash of white light. The light then contorted and reformed into four separate beings, all not larger than two-and-a-half feet tall. From left to right, the first two were Kain and Krieg respecitvely, then Pikachu, and finally Cestar. Tia immediately jumped down from Cole's shoulder and joined her companions below, specifically Kain and Krieg. Krieg and Tia greeted eachother with a joyous and friendly dance that, while amusing to Cole, visibly irritated Kain. In fact, it almost seemed that they were dancing purely to irritate him. Their irritation however, was nothing compared to the aggravation that Pikachu's presence caused the Dog Pokemon. With the sight of the Pokemon that had been his enemy a mere few hours ago, Kain broke out in a barking fit that turned quite a few heads, including Krieg's. Kain's barking had broken her out of her dance just long enough for the Spiked Fox Pokemon to realize that the Pikachu that had attacked her in the fog was now amongst them. This disconcerning fact, along with the other unknown Pokemon in their midst caused Krieg to begin yelping as well. Cole's Pokemon were creating quite a scene in the Pokemon Center, presumably drawing the gaze of many Trainers.

Hoping to avoid the unwanted attention and trying to avoid conflict amongst his team, Cole quickly got on one knee and attempted to calm both Kain and Krieg down. He placed an arm between them and the Pikachu to stop any attempt at a charge and spoke soothingly, "Calm down guys, she's with us now. That guy we were battling before left her with us as an acknowledgement of our skill. He was so impressed by you two that he left her here to train with us. Now I know you three were enemies not too long ago, but you're going to have to get along from now on. She is going to be part of the team."

Kain and Krieg took in his words with a bit of difficulty, but eventually succumbed to Cole's reasoning. Kain gave the Pikachu a grunt of respect while Krieg walked over and nuzzled her gently with her nose. The Pikachu, who had been quite twitchy since being released from her ball, took the grunt and the nuzzle graciously and responded with a jubilant smile back towards the pair. Krieg immediately smiled back and began yelping once more, this time in a much happier tone. Kain on the other hand remained steadfast, crossing his arms and directing his attention to the other newcomer. Following suit, so did all of the gathered female Pokemon, once they were finished introducing themselves of course. Outside of Kain, who maintained a steady visage, the Pokemon were seemingly mystified by the stranger's appearance. They had never seen anything like him before.

Cole swiftly noticed this turn of attention and explained further, "This guy here is what's known as a Cestar, he's from space. Apparently, he and a whole bunch of Pokemon like him fell from the sky, a lot like that meteorite that came down during our battle. He was given to us as a reward for handing that meteorite over to a bunch of people that want to study it." Explanation complete, Cole slowly approached the small dragon Pokemon who had up until then been attempting to hide behind the legs of a nearby chair. It was clear that he was nervous about the strange beings he was now surrounded by, so Cole did his best to explain the current predicament to the timid Pokemon. "Hey buddy there's no need to be afraid now. We're all friends here. Can you understand what I'm saying?"

The Cestar obviously had recognized the question and the language used to present it, as he slowly but surely had removed himself from behind the chair and gave Cole an affirmative nod of the head. Seeing that he had successfully gotten through to the strange Pokemon, Cole continued speaking, this time to the entire gathered group. "Alright guys and gals, this is gonna be our team for a little while. Sigurd and Ledyba are gone for now, and Vesper has moved on. I've obtained a Chatot too at the moment, but I'm not so sure he'll be with us for too long. That being said, my name is Cole for you two that don't know it yet, and this is Kain, Krieg, and Tia." As Cole introduced himself and his three closest teammates, he pointed to each one of them in turn to further explain what he meant. It was then Cole noticed that both the Pikachu and the Cestar were nameless at the moment. Something he planned to fix immediately.

"Okay," he began, "now that you two know our names, we should get to know yours. Seeing as there's really no way for me to figure out if you have names now or not, I'll just have to come up with something clever myself. We'll start with you Pikachu, now let's see... You're an electric type, and from the looks of things you're really hyper... Plus I know how fast you can move... So I'm not sure what your old trainer called you, but how about I call ya Blitz?" The Mouse Pokemon responded with an exuberant cry and began darting back and forth on the floor before Cole seemingly satisfied with her new title.

"Alright, you next," Cole turned to the Cestar and spoke. "Well we don't really know too much about each other, other than the fact that you came from the stars... So how about a star name? I'm not all too knowledgeable about the night sky, but I do know that one of them is called Fomalhaut... So how about that? It sounds like a big, strong dragon name. Is it alright if we call you Fomalhaut?" The newly dubbed Fomalhaut's eyes lit up once Cole had mentioned the name as being big and strong, and he quickly agreed to his new name with a series of quick nods. Satisfied that his new partners liked their names, Cole gave everyone one last smile before returning them to their Pokeballs one by one. Each Pokemon, other than Tia, returned to their portable homes in a stream of red light that engulfed and minimized each one of them. Cole then returned the balls to his backpack and lay his arm out for Tia to climb up. As he stood, Tia made her way on to his shoulder, and the two of them set off for their next destination, the Pokemart.

No Pokemart was ever too far from a Pokemon Center, and Cole found Kijutsu's within a matter of minutes. Once again the roof gave it away, as the signature deep blue color stood out greatly against the rest of the city. As they entered, the Trainer and Pokemon were once again blown away by the sheer enormity of the Pokemart. On closer inspection, Cole would realize that they did not carry anything he had not seen before, but the massive quantity of items itself was enough to nearly overwhelm the village boy. After some difficulty, Cole had found what they were looking for, two max revives and a pair of potions. Essential items for long travel. He continued his shopping excursion by taking said items to the counter and purchasing them with $400. A steep price that left Cole's wallet feeling a bit lighter, but was worth it for protecting his partners from harm.

His business in the mart finished, Cole returned to the street and then turned to Tia, who had remained perched on his shoulder. "Alright girl," he began speaking, "I'm not sure we'll be able to dig up much on Sarah here just yet. This city is so huge I wouldn't know where to start. So I think the best bet would be to head back towards Joukai Pass and then to Millenia like we had originally planned. We'll start there, and if we still don't find her we can head on back here. Regardless though, if we're gonna find her, we're gonna need some more firepower. Joukai Pass is just the place to get it too, that place is filled with dangerous and strong Pokemon. If we make it through there, not only will we be stronger than ever, but we can pick up some powerful companions on the way. So let's go!"

His final words spoken and his path set, Cole Phillips then set out back towards Joukai Pass and back towards his journey of a lifetime...

OOC: (Alot of words I know... But essentially: I hit the Pokemon Center; healed my Pokemon; switched out Cubone, Ledyba, and Chatot for Cestar and Pikachu; named Pikachu Blitz; named Cestar Fomalhaut; went to the Pokemart; bought 2 Max Revives ($300) and 2 Potions ($100); and then headed off towards Joukai Pass and the preceding Route)

Alright, I think I've been distracted for long enough and might be able to do this at last. With that out of the way, we can get back to what's really important here, you. A short stop at the Pokemon Center allowed you to heal, swap Pokemon around, and meet the newest additions to the team. Chatot, Cubone, and Ledyba were swapped out for Pikachu and Cestar. After that, you headed over to the Pokemart for a bit of shopping. Two max revives and two potions dropped your cash reserves to almost meager levels. You might want to try and find some work soon so you have spending money for later. But I digress, that choice is yours and yours alone, unless Tia has a say in it.

Anyway, after you bought your items, you headed in the direction of the Meteoric Plains, Route 2 and Joukai Pass. However, fate had something else in store for you today. As you were passing by an older looking house, a man in his mid-30s ran out of the front door and straight down the path to the sidewalk, screaming. It turned heads, even yours, but more because you were right in his path with no time to get out of the way. *WHAM* The man plowed into you, knocking both of you to the pavement. The jolt seemed to bring the man back to his senses, causing him to apologize a few times. He said, "I'm terribly sorry about this and I hate to ask but... could you please help me?" Sure, this makes sense, he knocked you down and yet he's asking for help. The man continued, saying, "You see, I just moved into this mansion with my son about a week ago. Everything was fine up until today. Tons and tons of ghosts started moving in for no good reason! Sadly, I'm practically petrified of ghosts, but my son is still inside. What I'm asking is, could you please go in and find him? I can reward you well for your efforts. Please, just bring my son back to me."

Well, it looks like you have a choice to make. Will you help find this man's child or continue on your way to Millenia? One is a direct path to potentially finding Sarah. The other leads you down a detour with things that go bump in the night. Decisions, decisions, life is full of them, and this crossroad is no different. Whichever you chose, good luck and happy hunting.

Cole was finally ready. He was packed up, had a team full of faithful partners, and was headed off to find his sister. Then, in a fashion similar to how he met Kain and then Sigurd, he was suddenly interrupted. This interruption was not a small Pokemon clawing at his leg, or challenging him to a battle though, it was an older man. The man had unintentionally bowled Cole over while running with a full head of steam away from God knows what. Cole was blasted off his feet and landed harshly on his backside, bouncing a few times before skidding harshly to a stop on the hard concrete. The jarring impact had left him woozy and disoriented, and it took the young trainer a few moments before he was able to right himself and attempt to bring himself back to his feet.

Before he could lift himself even an inch off of the ground however, he was once more mobbed by the man. This time not physically though, instead he used words. Apparently the man's mansion was quite haunted, and his son was trapped inside with all kinds of ghosts and ghouls. From the sound of things, he wanted Cole's help on the matter. With the man's rushed explaination over, Cole began wondering if his mind was still a bit jarred from the impact. Was this stranger really asking for his help after so rudely running him over? It took him quite a while to process this, but once the young trainer did, he looked questioningly at the man, searching his face for clues to whether or not he was truly serious.

Despite the oddity of the request, it seemed the man was in fact quite serious and was in desparate need for some help. He looked downright terrified. The desparate nature of his request was enough for Cole to consider helping, but he was not sure whether or not it would really be worth taking time out on his journey to help this man. Although Cole was a decent, caring person at heart, he really did have other places to be and there were plenty of people in the huge city of Kijutsu who could potentially help the stranger. However, there were a few things he said that turned this venture almost entirely into Cole's favor.

For one thing, the man had mentioned a reward for Cole's efforts, but what made this even more enticing was that the strange man had said that his son was trapped in their new mansion. It was obvious that this man had quite a lot of money, and that he was not shy to spend it on getting what he wanted. This terribly entracing offer, combined with the empty feeling Cole's wallet had recently acquired due to his spending spree in the Kijutsu Pokemart, was cause for ample thought. However, Cole's mind was not in the condition to be doing all kinds of thinking and considering. So he simply decided to help.

"Sure thing," Cole said groggily, rubbing the back of his head as he stood. While he rose to his feet, Tia (who had fallen just as hard and landed a few feet away from Cole) climbed right back up to his shoulder and shot the man a rather rude look. He then continued, "Just let us know how to get to your son and Tia and I will do the rest."

Cole then gave the man a smile and offered his hand for the stranger to take.

The man seemed genuinely pleased by your response. However, this was before you asked about where his kid was. He gave a look of regret before saying, "That's the thing, he was elsewhere in the house when those ghosts attacked. I don't know where he got to. I can only assume he was on the first floor with me, but I can't even be certain of that. Oh right, I nearly forgot, my name is William Wordsworth and my son's name is Ryan." William took your hand and shook it, saying, "I truly do thank you for doing this. Now, while you so kindly take care of the ghosts and finding my son, I'll get a hold of my real estate agent. We have some business to discuss."

With that he smiled and stepped off to the side, taking out a cell phone and proceeded to dial a number. I doubt he'll offer any more assistance, so you may as well hop to it. The building before you was decently sized, not a "mansion" as you may expect. It is larger than a normal home, but nothing that would be owned by a movie star or something. The house appears to be older, sort of Victorian in nature, with the siding and shutters needing a fresh coat of paint. Granted, what may look like a haunted house, could actually be quite pleasant on the inside.

You took the short walk to the porch and stepped up. The door was still left wide open from when William ran out, allowing a glance inside. Before you was a pretty simple entry way. Not a whole lot of furnishings, but a few moving boxes along the wall. Apparently they haven't lived here long. Anyway, it looked safe enough to go in, so you did. There was a large set of stairs along the right side facing the back wall that led up to the second floor. Well, you won't have to worry about access to there, eh? The hall seemed relatively closed off in here with doors on each frame. Along the left wall was one door, straight ahead was another, and by the foot of the stairs was a third. Also, directly to your right was a fourth door, but this one was slightly ajar. This one was merely a coat closet and had a slightly smaller door frame to show for it.

Nothing really fancy but this afforded you several choices. Granted, you could head upstairs first, but it might be better to start on one level before moving to another. With this in mind, will you choose door #1, door #2 or door #3? Behind each door could be fabulous prizes or a large pile of junk. Will you make the correct choice for a trip to Hawaii? Will I stop talking like a gameshow announcer? Find out next time on Kyuubii's Journey! -shot-

The man, who was apparently named William Wordsworth, was apparently overjoyed by Cole's agreeance to help his missing child. However, past the fact that his son was in fact within the house, he would be no help whatsoever in finding the boy. Especially considering that once he was finished with his explanation of the situation, he went directly to his cell phone, leaving Cole no room for questions. With a shrug, Cole turned away from the man and headed over to the "mansion" in question. It was a bit smaller than the imaginitive trainer had thought it would be, but compared to the modest house he grew up in it was truly a sight. The inside was much like the outside in that respect as well. There was nothing terribly fancy but it was, by comparison to Cole's experience, still rather luxurious. Although it was rather clear that the Wordsworth's had not quite finished moving in, it seemed that they had great plans for the house as many boxes lined the walls.

The entry hall itself was full of options from which the young trainer could choose. The most glaring option was the staircase that ran along the right wall, but William had mentioned that his son was most likely on the first floor. So in Cole's eyes it probably would have been best to save the upstairs portion of the house for last. That left the four doors on the first floor, one along each frame and one directly to Cole's right. The latter was in fact a closet, or at least it appeared to be, so that narrowed Cole's options even further. He would have to choose the door to his left, at the bottom of the stairs to his right, or the one straight ahead.

He considered his options for a few moments before turning to Tia on his shoulder and nodding inquisitively towards the door to his right. The Scout Pokemon surveyed the room herself for a few moments and then turned back to Cole and gave him a half-shrug. Nothing really seemed to jump out to her. With this, Cole himself gave a shrug and headed towards the door at the foot of the stairs. Once there, he hesitantly raised one hand and placed it on the doorknob. He stood still for a moment or two to collect himself, and then pushed forth through the doorway.

As he went forth, the young trainer called out, "Ryan?"

Oh ho ho. So, you decided to take mystery door number number 3. As you opened the door, the smell of old paper and mildew hit your nose. Granted, it wasn't overwhelming, but still noticeable. Bookcases and shelves lined the room, each packed full of books of various colored covers. Within the center of the room were a few soft chairs and a coffee table. A lamp sat in the center. Against the back wall, from your point of view, was a desk with a floor lamp next to it. It was positioned so the person sitting there could see out the window, even though there wasn't much to see besides the building next door.

Directly against the left wall, nestled between two book cases, was a door. On the right wall, in a similar fashion, was a smaller door, another closet most likely. The only other feature within the room that appeared to be alive was a Hoothoot sleeping on a perch with just one foot grasping it. It looked kinda cute catching some Zzz's. Nothing else appeared to be out of the ordinary. Maybe the horde of ghosts are giving you some slack? Or maybe they haven't noticed you yet. You lucked out this time in that respect. However, Ryan was clearly not in this room. Will you try the new door presented to you or go back into the entry way and try one of those doors? The choice is yours.

P.S. In general, you will be allowed to move one room per ref. This being, ghosts could pop out at you at any point. Just, so you know.
