So it's raining. Yeah, it's raining. You are near the ocean, a little rain couldn't hurt, right? Well, this is how your first step in Alternia is going to start: with rain. C'est la vie, mon ami? Yes, I speak French. What of it punk? Eh hem, well let's see what we could do in the glorious rain. Well, there's the shop you're standing in front of since you are hiding hiding under the awning from the rain. If you glanced up, the sign would read 'Millenia PokeMart'. Well, it wasn't so unusual but maybe Drifloon would like something? At that moment, a particulary power gust of wind blew by. Thankfully Drifloon was safely in his Poke ball at the moment or you would be chasing after a flailing balloon. As you stood huddled under the awning, a girl came running up and stood under it with you. It looked like she had been crying but the only evidence of this was just her red eyes. She wiped at her face quickly and sniffled loudly. She was about your age and soaking wet from the rain. In one hand, she held a dripping wet sketchbook. |

(sorry for bad quality. I have alot of shit going on right now) Magmar took another deep breathe, letting another thick smokescreen engulf the area. Everyone started coughing even more; the constant layers of smoke were fierce on the lungs. Your eyes began to water; it was really hard to see, meaning it would be really hard to know what to do. Magmar cracked his neck, he was in the zone. Though he couldn’t see, he had a lot of advantages over his enemy right now. “DAMN IT” a guy cursed again. “This isn’t doing anything, we got to stop this!” the other said. Shortly after, you heard a pokeball hit the floor. “Alright, Pidgeotto. Use whirlwind to clear it up!” he said in-between coughs. You heard the bird flap his wings hard, and all the smoke cleared out of the room and into the room above. Looking around, you saw Magmar swirling around in circles, using his flamethrower to guard himself. You looked around some more, and you noticed that Weavile wasn’t around. Looking around more, you noticed that the girl wasn’t around at all. How odd. You got an eerie feeling, as you began to turn around. You glanced, and saw a melee weapon about to be swung down. The next moment, Blaze tackled her down, and the two began fighting on the floor. “Haha, you thought you could get away with that huh? Think again. Hey, kid, I got this one now, take care of the other two!” Blaze said, pinning the chick down. The chick grunted, and the other male was now in her old spot. “I’ll never get any work done with you two around, we better take care of this, Rex.” One guy said, signaling the other to join him. He walked over, letting his pokeball on the floor. “Party time” Out on the floor, a giant weasel like Pokémon appeared, letting off a strange cry. Well, the tables sure did turn. Level 26 Level 26 |

(OOC: No sweat, I do too.) Athan began to cough even more as Magmar followed his commands, although he couldn't help but let out a smirk. He could use the smoke to help with future battle plans. Athan let out another nagging cough, the downside to the smoke however was becoming even more apparent by the second. His body began to feel slightly heavy and his lungs began to weigh down from the smoke feeling his nose. Throughout the whole battle he totally had forgotten the possibility of smoke inhalation. Athan sighed and let out another nagging cough, knowing he should really think his ideas through better. As Athan continued his constant coughing he heard a Pokeball hit the floor. Athan instantly knew that another Pokemon was being bought into the battle, it was the only possibility. Athan heard the flapping of wings and gasped at what happened next, the tide had turned and the smoke was wiped away. He saw Magmar finishing out his commands by spinning around doing a flamethrower, turning his head he noticed a Pidgeotto be released into the fight. Shit, this cannot get any worse. Athan thought clenching his fist in stress. Another thing Athan noticed was that Weavile wasn't around; Athan took a quick look around the room noticing that he couldn't find the girl he was fighting against just a few moments ago. After a few seconds of glancing around the room he heard something behind him and looked around noticing something getting ready to be swung; what happened next was quick. Blaze appeared into the basement and slammed the girl on the floor. "Boss Blaze?" Athan said in shock of the situation, he was now completely confused. When, how, and why did Blaze arrive on the scene. Athan turned his head once again and noticed that the two guys had released another Pokemon onto the ground, a weasel-like Pokemon he had never seen before. He had to get a drawing of the Pokemon, even though now didn't seem like the best time. Athan whipped out his pencil and notepad and sketched a picture of the weasel-like Pokemon as quick as he could, putting up post haste. "So you goons want to play that game eh?" Athan questioned sarcastically after putting up his notepad. He knew that Magmar wouldn't be enough to take on the two opposing Pokemon so he reached in his pocket and pulled out another one of the Pokeballs that Blaze gave him. "Go...whatever Pokemon is in here!" exclaimed Athan tossing the Pokeball onto the ground. Athan was determined to stop the blue crew members and win this battle, after all it was a matter of life and death. However he wondered what Pokemon would be in the Pokeball that he just released, he prayed that it wouldn't be a bad one. |

Phasing Flashback Defender Vigilance
|
You watched with anticipation as the answer to your prayers came into view. The ball erupted in all its glorious light and a Pokemon began to take shape. Its pink body was supported by two thick legs. Yellow and pink stripes ran horizontal across its round belly, matching the pink and yellow rings located on its knees. Short arms clutched its curved head. It opened its small, black eyes and blinked a few times before realizing that it was out of its ball. With what may have been a smile, the thing opened its mouth and allowed an immense tongue to roll forward, nearly as large as the creature itself. The giant tail that it dragged behind it swung up to compensate for the sudden change in its center of gravity. It gave a quick nod and a rubbery call to the Magmar that was already on the battlefield. Magmar returned the greeting with a nod of its own. Apparently, the two knew already knew each other. Once again, you took the next logical step and consulted your PokeTech for more information regarding the new battler. With a chime, it began to speak, “Lickitung Lv 25. Attacks: Lick, Supersonic, Defense Curl, Knock Off, Wrap, Stomp, Disable. Also knows TM Flamethrower.” It was no instant assurance for victory to be sure. No, it was no high level Charizard or well-experienced Alakazame, but a Pokemon with such a wide array of interesting moves may well just do the trick. The sound of the device faded away as its explanation came to an end. It was soon replaced by another sound. “I've had enough of this!”, yelled one of the men, “Get out there Pidgeotto. Hit that Magmar with a Gust!”. The Pidgeotto was quick to respond to its trainer's orders and began to flap its wings very rapidly. A wind was beginning to pick up and Magmar could do nothing to protect himself. Suddenly, and before it got dangerous, Pidgeotto's wings seized up and it flopped to the ground. Unable to move, the Pokemon could only moan in bewilderment. You saw that Lickitung's muscles were also straining, but in concentration. Its hands were pressed hard against its skull as it held the Pidgeotto helpless with a Disable attack. It was soon over, and the bird instantly hopped back to its feet, its trainer gritting his teeth in frustration. Lickitung relaxed as it awaited further instruction from you. As this display of versatility had shown, perhaps it would come in handy after all. Your Team: lv 20 65/65 72% lv 25 75/75 93%Opponent's Team: lv 26 77/77 95% lv 26 77/77 100%

Athan gritted his teeth, he wondered what Pokemon would explode from the Pokeball that he had just thrown onto the ground. He smirked in delight as the Pokemon began to form out of the light from the Pokemon due to the fact it didn't seem like any Pokemon that he had seen before. Then suddenly his mouth dropped open in shock as the Pokemon finally took its form; it was a Lickitung but of course Athan couldn't tell that at a first glance. He removed his Poketech from his pocket and scanned the Lickitung with it to see what attacks that it knew, at that same time he observed the greeting the Pokemon had given to the Magmar he had unleashed to the ground. This Pokemon has some pretty unusual moves...so! Here I go! Athan opened his mouth ready to move the battle forward by commanding Lickitung and Magmar when the man with the Pidgeotto beat him too it. Athan's eyes widened in shock noticing as the attack was aimed towards Magmar, the Pidgeotto looked strong as well and it appeared that the Gust attack could do a nifty amount of damage to the Pokemon. Athan was embracing for the impact of the flying-type attack when he blinked in shock. The Lickitung he had just released from the Pokeball had used the move Disable to stop Pidgeotto's attack, which Athan thought was smart thinking on the Pokemon's part. Battling is getting more funner every minute now. Athan thought blinking once more. Now calming down Athan was ready to go on the offensive. He thought about it for a moment and decided to use a combination attack, searching through his mind he quickly found a combination in which he thought would play out nicely at the moment and without a second thought Athan unleashed his idea out onto the battlefield. "Magmar use Fire Spin towards the other two Pokemon and Lickitung follow behind and use Supersonic!" Athan shouted. His plan was to unleash the Fire Spin as an direct attack and follow up with a Supersonic as a support to confuse the two enemy Pokemon. If he could issue that plan perfectly he would not only have made a hit on the Floatzel and the Pidgeotto but he also would have them confused making it more easier to attack in future rounds. |

Fire Spin and Supersonic…a unique combination of attacks, to be sure. At the mention of Fire Spin, one of the guys smiled and spoke to his pokemon. “Floatzel, use Aqua Jet and see if you can get that Magmar to chill out.” The other heard this and decided a double attack couldn’t hurt. “Pidgeotto, follow up with a Quick Attack, but hit Lickitung instead of Magmar.” Pidgeotto and Floatzel cried confirmations to their trainers and proceeded. At first nothing much happened. Pidgeotto gathered altitude so it could dive and gain momentum that way and then accent it by flapping his wings. Meanwhile, Floatzel had begun to concentrate and slowly a film of water began to form around him. Once was nice and thick, about an inch thick all around, Floatzel backed up a few steps and charged forward. In the blink of an eye he had collided with Magmar before the blazing pokemon could even open his mouth for the attack, let alone launch it. That really hurt, seeing as Magmar’s body held a great deal of fire and heat inside. It could easily live in lava, but that water attack stung terribly. You heard two impacts at the same time however, since Pidgeotto had dove at the same time as Floatzel began to charge at Magmar and hit Lickitung the same second Floatzel hit Magmar. The strike wasn’t so bad, but the sudden attack had surprised Lickitung. The incredible speed came from gravity ad Pidgeotto’s mighty wings, which had been flapping almost as furiously as if he was using Gust or Whirlwind. The result was an attack too quick to be dodged, especially since Lickitung had been concentrating on Magmar and readying itself to use Supersonic. Recovering quickly with a blast of heat from withint its core, which was untouched by the attack, Magmar inhaled a deep breath and blew out a powerful stream of fire that sped towards Pidgeotto and Floatzel. “Oh no you don’t, Pidgeotto use Whirlwind!” Once more Pidgeotto flapped its wings, whipping the air around you into a furious gale. The strong winds were so furious they shredded the flames before any damage was done. Not good…Thinking that now was the time it was supposed to attack, Lickitung opened its mouth to use Supersonic- “Floatzel, use Sonic Boom and stop that Lickitung!” With a determined cry Floatzel streaked towards Lickitung and straight past her, so fast that a second later a powerful shockwave hit her with a loud, booming sound much like thunder. For a moment Lickitung was too stunned to do anything, but then it seized the initiative once more. Floatzel was running back to his trainer when his muscles seized up and he fell flat on his face. It took a lot of concentration, but Lickitung held him a moment. She couldn’t hold him forever and eventually he began to move. Before he could get to his feet and try some other kind of block, Lickitung opened its mouth and let out a very high-pitched sound. The sound tore through Floatzel’s head, scrambling his mind terribly. Pidgeotto would have been affected too, had he not flown up a bit higher to get away from the sound. When Floatzel got to his feet he stumbled a bit in one direction, then stumbled in another direction…then finally just stood there and shook his head. He was thoroughly, completely confused. That could certainly help. Your Pokémon Level 20 45/65 64% Level 25 54/75 81%Opponent Pokémon Level 26 77/77 79% Level 26 77/77 82%~Confused~ |

Athan was in a gleeful mood as he watched the combination of the two attacks surge towards the enemy Pokemon. However he was immediately displeased when he heard one of the two men he was battling call out the commands for an Aqua Jet, a water-type attack which would immediately shut down his Fire Spin attempts. Shoot! thought Athan balling up his fist tight in stress, he had to come up with a different plan or else the battle was all lost. At the time he could only watch as the Pidgeotto and Floatzel came towards him with their own attack combination; he was brainless to what kind of attack combination he should use. Athan rubbed his chin as the two enemy Pokemon began to summon up their attacks, he knew Magmar would be severely damaged as soon as the Aqua Jet hit and it seemed too late to call a command to dodge the attack and within a flash Athan witnessed the Magmar be slammed to the ground by the fierce attack of the Floatzel. He swung his head in the direction of the Pidgeotto to see what it was doing to Lickitung, who seemed to have already been hit. A feeling of relief however soon came to Athan when he saw Magmar begin to carry out his commands by throwing out a stream of hot fire. Maybe there was a bit of hope left in the battle and maybe he could turn things around, however he hopes were promptly smashed as he watched as the fire attack from Magmar was shut down by a Whirlwind attack from the Pidgeotto. Athan's heart sunk once more, the battle had not gotten any brighter and so far he was unable to land a single hit on either of the enemy Pokemon. This is bad, very bad, I am going to have to recall Magmar and use the last Pokemon Blaze gave me to use as if I continue to use him, he will surely be knocked out. Athan was about ready to reach for Magmar's Pokeball when suddenly Lickitung unleashed Supersonic. Yes! Go Lickitung! Go! Athan thought in excitement, if he could get a nice hit with the Supersonic he could put a damaging blow to the enemy trainer's tactics for the next few turns in the battle possibly causing a kamikaze knock out on the other side which would be easier than fighting the whole battle out tooth and claw. His hopes of winning the battle due to a kamikaze knock out however were slightly damaged when the other side began their resistance, his eyes widening as a Sonic Boom attack from the Floatzel landed on Lickitung. Praying that Lickitung was alright, Athan continued watching the struggle between the pink tongue Pokemon and the large orange weasel hoping for a good outcome and soon his prayers were answered. Lickitung had managed to successfully perform the Supersonic attack confusing the Floatzel leaving a wide opening on the opposing side, the only thing left for him to do was unleash his attack! However before he was able to take the opportunity of the confusion to attack, he had to get Magmar off the battlefield first. "Return Magmar!" shouted Athan pulling out the Pokeball of the Magmar; he pulled the third Pokeball Blaze had given him out and threw it out onto the ground. Athan then took a dramatic risk, he decided to pass on attacking for that turn in order to see the third Pokemon he would be working with. |

The Burning Blade Alchemist

A water type and a flying, and no idea what's coming in after. Your first two pokemon from Blaze are good, oddly enough you had Lickitung a normal type. But even a Fire type trainer needs something to make up for the weakness of fire types. The last one can be nothing other than a fire type of some sort. You tossed the Pokemon, a rough arc bouncing hard as it landed. It burst open in a torrent of flame, It would seem Pokeseals were affixed to this Pokeball which cause special effects when a Pokemon is realized for effect. From the flames appeared a short, lizard with blue flames going from the back of its head, down its back and ending with one on its tail. It called out.. "Buuuuurrrrnnn!" Naturally, you did what you do with the previous two and check your Poketech for its data. “Burnokoa Lv 28. Attacks: Tackle, Ember, Smokescreen, Flame Wheel, Glare, Quick Attack, Fire Spin, Agility, Double Team. Also knows TM Sunny Day and Solarbeam.” Clearly the favorite of the trio, her taught attacks would put her well off against Water types. "It doesn't matter what Pokemon you have if you aren't well prepared!" The lady pulls out a small spherical object and quickly throws it at her Pokemon! Well tossed, it landed in Floatzel's confused mouth who swallowed it. After a couple seconds, Floatzel shook its head.. "Floatzeeel!', and his confusion was cured! "Now before he can call out attacks, Quick Attack!" "You too, Pidgeotto! The two quickly darted at the newcomer, Pidgeotto from above and Floatzel from straight ahead. "Burrrnn!" In response, Burnokoa took one step back and also charged forward into Floatzel's Quick Attack with one of her own! The two collided, Burnokoa stopping on impact while Floatzel was forced back. Its clear Burnokoa has the physical advantage in this matchup, but Floatzel is still a water type and with that comes with plenty of attacks that could douse Burnokoa's flames. Pidgeott0 swooped and flew back up into the air, missing his target now that it's moved. Athan sighed as Magmar was recalled into the Pokeball; he was thankful that he had the Pokemon from Blaze to help him in battling the blue crew gang members. But still he had no idea what kind of attack combination could come ahead for him and he had to be fully prepared, also he had to find out what kind of Pokemon he had just sent out to battle for him. Watching curiously as the Pokeball of the new Pokemon hit the floor and popped open, he began to rise an eyebrow, he couldn't tell what kind of Pokemon was coming up at all. After a moment the Pokemon took its complete form: that of a orange lizard with blue flames. "What the hell is that Pokemon?" Athan asked himself pulling out his flashy green Poketech to check the moves of the Pokemon and he was indeed surprised. Solarbeam? That is rather unusual for a fire-type Pokemon. Athan thought. Truly, the Pokemon: Burnokoa was a blessing with a diverse amount of moves and he was able to cook up a combination of two moves quickly. I am going to combine Burnokoa's Quick Attack and Lickitung's Stomp to land a strong physical attack. Athan smirked and was about to call out his new move combination when suddenly...his face widened in total shock. His jaws dropped open as one of his opponents pulled out a spherical-like object and threw it at the Floatzel and its confusion was cured. Damn! I should have attacked while I had the chance! Athan thought stomping his foot on the ground. As if things could not have gotten any worse his opponents released a combination of two Quick Attacks and just when he thought that the battle was all lost, Burnokoa sped towards the powerful Floatzel with her own Quick Attack. "What were you saying about being prepared ma'am?" Athan asked the woman mocking her; Burnokoa was certainly a powerful enough Pokemon to be able to stop a strong Quick Attack from the beastly Floatzel. Athan also noticed that the move by Burnokoa had also caused Pidgeotto to miss his attack as well, it was now the perfect time to unleash an attack. "Burnokoa use Agility to boost your speed then follow up with a Quick Attack on the Floatzel!" Athan shouted towards Burnokoa, he then took a quick glance at his Lickitung and towards the Floatzel and the Pidgeotto, he would have to go with a quick strategy of knocking out the Floatzel to leave the Pidgeotto by itself...but in order for the plan to go through he would have to leave Pidgeotto weakened and unable to attack while he focuses on the Floatzel. "Lickitung, you use your Stomp on the Pidgeotto then follow it up with a Disable!" Athan yelled. He was going to use Stomp to leave the Pidgeotto dazed and use Disable to take out its strong aerial attacks for awhile, then he could finally focus on the enemy Floatzel. Using speed to counter speed…not a bad idea. To be sure such a strategy would help you to actually get in some hits against Floatzel before it mauled your team. The tricky part was landing a hit on Pidgeotto so that it would be out of the battle, or at the very least wouldn’t trouble Burnokoa. Once more your opponents told their pokemon to use Quick Attack and once more Pidgeotto and Floatzel charged forward, almost too fast to see. Not to worry though! Lickitung took Pidgeotto’s attack and turned it into an opportunity. When Pidgeotto got close to Burnokoa, Lickitung rushed in and brought her foot down hard right on top of Pidgeotto’s head. Side effect of the attack: flinching. You could say that Pidgeotto flinched, although what it really did was crash. With Lickitung’s weight and the force of its Stomp attack Pidgeotto was tilted forward and off-balance. He was unable to recover in time and plowed straight into the ground. Ouch. That had to hurt! To be sure, Pidgeotto was out until the next round even without Lickitung’s intervention. Lickitung didn’t see the point of using Disable on Pidgeotto when it was already far more effectively disabled for the round. Thus, being the smart pokemon it was, Lickitung used Disable on the incoming Floatzel instead. By this point Floatzel had reached Burnokoa. However, Burnokoa used Agility to speed up and dodge the attack. It was while Floatzel was looking around for Burnokoa and Burnokoa was finishing her Agility that Lickitung got involved. Things might have gone for the worse if she hadn’t decided to still use Disable and simply switch the target. Instead, things began to go your way again. Just as Floatzel found Burnokoa and prepared to use another Quick Attack, it felt its body seize up, much like it had when that awful noise confused it. All Floatzel could do was scream in frustration mentally and watch as Burnokoa turned to face it and then charged into a really fast Quick Attack. Thanks to Agility Burnokoa was moving extremely fast, which added power to her Quick Attack. She hammered Floatzel with it and sent him flying into the wall. He’d been repelled a little when he had the power of his Quick Attack behind him and Burnokoa wasn’t sped up from Agility. Now…he couldn’t do a thing, between Agility and Disable. If anything he was hurt worse than Pidgeotto this round! Floatzel managed to recover enough to waddle over to its trainer and prepare for the next round. Pidgeotto finished picking himself up and flapped his way back into the air. Burnokoa and Lickitung both stood in front of you, their heads cocked ever so slightly in your direction for further instructions. They were ready and waiting for the next round. So, whenever you’re ready…better be soon or those two goons will get the jump on you. Athan grinned in confidence, he felt that the plan that he had made would work perfectly against the Floatzel and the Pidgeotto he was battling against. Lickitung was a smart Pokemon that had good attack skills and Burnokoa was down right strong, lets just hope that she was fast too. He called his attention back to the battlefield, awaiting to see if his two allies had began to execute his plan to disable the Pidgeotto and defeat the Floatzel. Athan's eyes then widened in surprise when the opponents suddenly attacked, using Quick Attack once more. The eighteen-year-old Pokemon Watcher clenched his fist, hoping that Pidgeotto and Floatzel would not be able to break through Burnokoa and Lickitung and overtake the battle. After a slight moment of worrying flew through his mind, Athan was then struck with relief when Lickitung made her move and managed to overtake Pidgeotto and complete the first part of his plan for her: use Stomp on Pidgeotto. Athan continued to keep his close eye on the battle, a small grin spread across his face as things began to turn in his favor even more. This is good...maybe I will be able to save the Pokemon Center after all. Athan thought, letting out a loud and unmannerly yawn. Athan took a quick glance back at the battle and was slightly shocked, Lickitung did not follow his command to use Disable on the Pidgeotto. He began to think that things were once again going to go back; he became slightly stressed at the thought that Lickitung was beginning to ignore his commands when suddenly...Lickitung turned its attack on the enemy Floatzel saving Burnokoa from taking any damage that round. Hope once more faded back into Athan's soul as Burnokoa zipped around Floatzel with Agility and collided against the otter-like Pokemon with a hard Quick Attack. "It seems about time for our next move." Athan mumbled yawning once more, he was beginning to feel tired from all the action going on that day. Thinking for a slight moment Athan decided to take advantage of the weakened state that the enemy Pokemon were in. He knew that he could finish Floatzel up quickly with the Solarbeam attack that Burnokoa had in her arsenal but now wasn't the perfect time, besides if he waited till later in the battle he could unleash the attack to score a powerful K.O but for now...Athan decided it was time to have a little bit of fun. "Lickitung use Wrap on Pidgeotto and attempt to toss it towards Floatzel, if that doesn't work slam it down on the ground! Burnokoa then use Glare!" Athan yelled chuckling a bit, this turn he was going to create a few laughs for himself. |

When the stars stop shining, dreams will shatter before your eyes. Know that you're not alone!

Both men chuckled a bit, their Pokémon eyeing yours. Looking over to the right, you noticed the unprepared bomb equipment. Something you should know, any fire going in that direction would probably set those off, so you might want to be a little careful. Both men chuckled a bit. Things were going as planned, thought their lady friend had gone off and ditched, they still had the situation under control, or so they thought. Licky looked around, and heard your orders. It was a pretty good plan, and it would be pretty amusing, assuming he could laugh with his huge tongue sticking out. Both of the male trainers gave their orders, but you were too focused on the lolz to hear them. Pidgeotto went towards Lickitung with vengeance in his eyes. Though, if I got stomped to the ground and crashed, I would be pretty pissed too. He charged, but your Lickitung was already on top of that. Using his giant tongue to wrap him, he tried to his momentum to throw him toward Floatzel, but the quick weasel jumped out of the way, causing the Bird to hit the wall…again. Well. It wasn’t exactly what you were looking for, but hey, at least he’s out of the picture again. Burnokoa glared deep into Floatzel’s eyes, trying to paralyze him. But unfortunately, the weasel disappeared, and turned its attention to Lickitung, who didn’t have any more orders for the round. Floatzel covered itself in a watery veil, and charged toward the pick Pokémon at an amazing speed. Being a pretty smart Pokémon, she quickly lifted her foot, and stomped the weasel when it reemerged. Too bad it didn’t make him flinch this time, and the guy pounded into your pink friend. Well, things didn’t go QUITE as planned, but things weren’t a complete failure. From upstairs, you could hear the holler of some sort of victory. You couldn’t quite tell who had won, but someone had to have. Both the blue people looked up the escalator. “Well shit, it seems that the red team had already won, but we don’t have to bombs set up!” the second guy glared at Steven. “Gah. We don’t have much time. We have to beat this kid, bit it seems that we’ll have to do it this next round” Uh oh. I think they were going to go all out this next round, but you knew it would be the last round. If they didn’t take you out and set up the bombs, their plan would be foiled. Not to mention that whether you win or lose, Blaze should be down here soon. Yup, things were starting to look up, but don’t let your guard down. You have 1 more round to deal with. Athan was puzzled, why were the two men he were battling chuckling anyway? The battle was currently in the Pokémon Watcher's favor so they shouldn't even have the need to smile or chuckle. They must have something coming up then. thought Athan, a sweat drop rolling down the side of his head. It then occured to him that something was definitely up, taking a quick glance around the battlefield he quickly caught something out of the corner of his eye. Athan fully turned his head to the right, noticing on the ground were unset bombs. That's going to be a big problem. Athan thought widening his eyes, he couldn't let those guys touch the bombs no matter what! He watched the battlefield closely knowing that his plans should be executed by Lickitung and Burnokoa sometime soon and with every plan executed the battle was coming closer and closer to an end...Athan had to hope though that in the end he was the victor. He couldn't hear the commands of the enemy trainers and stayed in deep thought for a slight moment, only looking up when he noticed something soaring in the direction of his team: Pidgeotto. Athan bit his lower lip, if Pidgeotto was able to get a hard hit on Lickitung the pink Pokémon might be finished; thankfully that was not the case, Athan was able to breath a sigh of relief when Lickitung wrapped the flying Pokémon in her tongue and through him towards Floatzel...who then moved out of the way. It wasn't what Athan was exactly looking for but it was still slightly funny as Pidgeotto once more collided with the wall. Letting out a chuckle Athan turned his attention to Burnokoa, wanting to see how things were going for her as well. Athan had to say though that he was slightly disappointed by the effects of the Glare used by Burnokoa, since he couldn't hear the commands from the two opposing trainers then it was completely hard to propose a counter attack. The Pokémon Watcher could only watch in pity as Floatzel covered itself in a veil of water and slid by Burnokoa towards Lickitung. He thought things would be over at that point, that Floatzel could pack a pretty mean punch and Lickitung had been in the battle for quite awhile. Luckily Lickitung had her end of the battle pretty covered as well, stomping Floatzel when the time was right. Athan sighed once more, his heart was now almost completely pounding out of his chest from the hard fought round. Standing for a moment in thought about the attacks he should use next round the sounds of screams and hollers began to glide through Athan's ears. Looking upwards he could tell that the loud ruckus was coming up the upstairs level of the Pokémon Center, something must have went on up there. He looked in the direction of the two men he was battling curiously as one of them exclaimed that the red team had already won, that seemed like good news to Athan but he still had to defeat those guys. Besides it was not like they would just give up and let him go freely anyway after fighting the stressful battle for quite so long. We have to go this last round...what should I do next, thanks to the unset bombs fire attacks are still out of the question...so how about I close this battle out with Burnokoa's Solarbeam and Lickitung's Stomp. Athan once more found himself glancing out onto the battle, this time looking at Burnokoa and Lickitung. "Burnokoa use Sunny Day then Solarbeam on Floatzel! Lickitung collide a Stomp on the back of the Pidgeotto!" Athan yelled, he was at the basement of a Pokémon Center, therefore it seemed like a possibility that there would be no sunlight to use Solarbeam with so he had to take the liberty of using Sunny Day to heat things up and as for Lickitung...Stomp was Stomp and the weakened Pidgeotto was a weakened Pidgeotto. |

When the stars stop shining, dreams will shatter before your eyes. Know that you're not alone!

You quickly gave the orders to your Pokémon. It was time for the final round, and you were pulling out all the stops. Both men looked at their Pokémon, not happy with their performance. Ugh. They looked at the bombs, then make up towards the Pokécenter. Again, it was hard to know what exactly was going on up there, but for their sakes, they better be winning. Things were finally starting to close, and after this, you could get back to whatever you were going to do. Too bad it’s been such a long time, and you probably couldn’t remember what you were going to do. But that’s not a problem! Things happen, and you did a good job for a bird watcher, and whatever was going to happen, you tried your best, right? Well, we all liked to think that, but you didn’t exactly KNOW what was going on. For all you know, it could be the cops breaking in, and arresting you all. You hadn’t thought of that, and well. You probably didn’t want to. Both of your Pokémon followed your orders, getting right to work. Using sunny day was easy, and well. Somehow it had an effect on the lighting inside the center. All around you the lights intensified, I suppose this would be giving the power of the sun, but it probably wouldn’t last as long. Oh well. That’s fine, as long as it works for this turn. Pidgeotto was on the ground, obviously giving up. Lickitung was about to stomp on it’s back, when suddenly a familiar face showed up. His shades shone with the increased light, but the blue guys suddenly got a little nervous. “Don’t worry. I’ll handle this. We got things covered upstairs.” He said pulling out a pokeball. Your eyes widened, if you were holding onto these Pokémon and they were strong, you couldn’t imagine how strong this one had to be. “Alright, let’s go Rex!” he screamed, throwing his pokeball on the ground. The two guys literally shit themselves at the sight of the Pokémon that came out of the ball. A huge lizard with white flames popped out, and gave a roar. Blaze chuckled. “Thanks for the help kid, I’ll finish off these Pokémon.” :flairamander Level 40 “Burny, get over here. Rex, get ready.” He commanded, looking at the light. “Perfect, thanks for the sunny day. Alright guys, let’s do this. Burny, I want you to use solarbeam on the Floatzel. Rex, I want you to use fire blast on Pidgeotto.” he winked at Rex. This guy was a lot stronger then you thought. I mean, when you first arrived here at the center, you probably thought he was some punk, but he had some powerful fire power. Literally. Both trainers were speechless, and didn’t even think to recall their Pokémon before it was too late. Burny(I suppose that was his nickname) gathered in the light. Rex tilted his head back, gathering the power for the move. Blaze’s smile grew wider. It was obvious, he knew that both these moves would knock the Pokémon out. With two flashes of light, a red hot solarbeam burned into Floazel, knocking him acrossed the room. Knocked out completely. Rex’s fire in his mouth got bigger, and bigger. The ball of flame burned white, then he released it right into the pidgeotto that was completely helpless to the situation. The intensity of the light and the brightness of the flame blinded you for a second, but you knew it had hit by the smell of burnt bird. Both trainers returned their Pokémon, leaving the bombs where they were. They ran upstairs, and blaze took his pokeballs and returned all his Pokémon. He looked at you, his grin almost bigger then his face. “Well kid, you did a good job keeping things tidy until I could come down. We won the battle upstairs, and both teams already cleared out. Thanks for the help. I know you’re a traveling trainer, so I’m going to let you go. But first, here.” He opened your hand, and you felt a few objects fall into them. A fire stone, and a circular disk. “That’s a TM, for sunny day, and I’m sure you can find a good use for that Fire stone. Remember. Sunny day helps fire Pokémon and weakens water Pokémon. You can keep your rental Pokémon. Good luck on your journey.” He walked onto the escalator. Well. That was quite a little adventure, and man, did you get some good prizes out of it! So, what are you going to do now? *You got to keep Houndour! YAY!* Edited by Zygon, Jun 8 2009, 08:08 PM.

Athan sighed, he knew that this would be it for the whole battle. He looked out at the battlefield in anticipation about the performance of the Burnokoa and the Lickitung. He could tell that the blue trainers were becoming quite nervous, and the look on their faces once more provided reassurance to Athan. As Athan continued to look at the battlefield, awaiting for things to get a much needed move on he began to think about just what was happening upstairs. He hoped that it would be at least something good as he couldn't afford anything worse at the moment in time. He hoped that his theory about the red team winning upstairs was true, because if it wasn't then he was indeed screwed as well as the possibility of the police...he couldn't go to jail in the dawn of his adventure. Athan once more pushed his thoughts to the back of his mind, he had a battle to attend to and the more stress on his mind would not make things any better. He watched quietly as both Burnokoa and Lickitung followed his orders, shielding his eyes as the lighting in the basement got brighter from the Sunny Day attack used by Burnokoa; hopefully that would power up the upcoming Solarbeam attack. He watched as Lickitung pretty much had Pidgeotto down and begging for mercy, the battle already seemed won so why was it still on his mind. Athan shut his eyes for a brief moment and let out a yawn, things were finally calming back down again when suddenly...the sound of a pop hit the floor. Athan's eyes shot open to see that a Pokeball had been thrown to the floor and a Pokémon had been unleashed, it was a big lizard like monster reminding him of Burnokoa a bit. That wasn't all that he saw, turning his head he saw that Blaze had entered the basement once more to assist him. That met that the large Pokémon must have belonged to him! It was truly a blessing for the young man and he knew that this new Pokémon that Blaze had unleashed will be strong enough to take down Floatzel and Pidgeotto. Athan remained perfectly silent however, a small smile spreading across his face thankful that Blaze had shown up. Athan turned his head, remarking the fear that was on the faces of the two opposing trainers and within a flash the battle seemed to have been over; Blaze took his previous Sunny Day to advantage to power up a Solarbeam for Burnokoa and a Fireblast for his larger Pokémon, both attacks then shut down Floatzel and Pidgeotto with no surprise at all. Man, I am glad that is over with. Athan thought, his facial expression of happiness fading away. After the battle was over Athan was completely ready to leave Millenia Town, he had been in the town for quite awhile know and it was time to check out the rest of the strange region he had came too. He had new Pokémon to draw and possibly catch and he had many places to explore, which was what he did best. He turned his attention back to Blaze who he noticed was smiling extremely hard and when he heard that Blaze was going to let him go, he was pleased indeed. Athan was even more pleased when he was able to accept the Firestone and the TM for Sunny Day and was tens times more delighted when he found out that he would be able to keep Houndour, that met he would have to make up a nickname for the Pokémon. Athan thanked place for the gifts and his help and he went up the escalator. I wonder what kind of name would suit my Houndour. Athan thought about it for a moment but decided that he couldn't think of anything perfect at the moment. He continued walking, leaving Millenia Town and heading into the unknown. (Need Journey moved to nearest route I assume.) |

Overlord of Blowing $hit Up

(*takes the reins* I have the control now :3 Request me in the RRT now, I have the plot.. Zy says he's sorry but he's been busy..) Daydreaming about a nickname for his newly-aquired Houndour, Athan wasn't paying much attention to where he was walking. Leaving the Millenia town limits, the people that were walking around him grew less and less, making it seem like he was already far from the town, and many other people. However, this wasn't really the case, and Athan walked straight into someone going the opposite direction of him. Not expecting the sudden collision, both people were sent to the ground. Spoiler: click to toggle "Hey, watch where you’re.... Hey, your that kid from the Pokemon Center back there, right? The one that helped stop those weird people in blue?" The man sat up some, almost ignoring the fact that he was sitting in the middle of the road. "Man, I really owe you some. I was being held up on the top floor by those freaks, until some guy came in and cleared them out. He used this big, orange lizard with white flames. I think it's called a 'Flairamander'. I asked him about it, and he said he caught it's first form in the mountain a little way away from here. I just got back from getting one. They're called 'Sparkardy', wanna see?" He pulled out a small photograph and passed it to Athan. After his small revealing of plans, I think he forgave you for your accidental plowing into him... Anyway, this photo was pretty blank, and displayed a small, orange fire lizard. It looked strikingly similar to a Charmander..... This little guy becomes that powerhouse from before? :sparkardy Handing it back, the other guy stood up. "My name is Eric, what would you say to a quick battle?" he extended a hand to help you up. Not such a bad guy, huh? You knock him on the floor, he helps you up, shows you a great chance to get a Pokemon that pretty much saved your hide before... He looks pretty friendly; why not have a quick round? Edited by Sora, Jun 12 2009, 05:57 PM.
