I'm wrecking this place up like a tornado of vengeance! Sideways is the best ways! Look out, Aro. You're about to be diago-NAILED!
|
By Sheik: So you want to do a double battle with an eleven year old girl, eh? The Furret IS a strong Pokemon and you DO need the training for your Aron, so smart choice. Although a double battle can give more experience to more Pokemon, it's also a lot tougher since the battlefield is filled with twice as many Pokemon. But you seem like quite the person, so I'm sure this will be done quickly, right? Melissia smiled and spoke out to you, "Sure, I love double battles!" She took out one of her Pokeballs from her belt and threw it into the air. The Pokeball shot out a red laser and released an Elekid. So she has a Furret and an Elekid, while you have your Beldum and Aron. Type wise, you had an advantage because of your two steel types, but then again, your Aron is a level five; you might want to keep an eye on him. You said that you wanted to train your Aron, so make sure that he doesn't get knocked out in this fight! "You can go first, stranger." said Melissia. Well that's nice of her, she's giving you the opportunity to go first and deal some damage. You might want to be careful though, her Furret and Elekid are pretty strong.

What an interesting match up this was looking to be. Aron and Beldum, versus Furret and Elekid. Jimmy held the type advantage over Furret seeing as how it did 0.25% damage to his pokemon. Still it may know some powerful attacks so he should still treat it as a threat. Elekid would be the one to defeat first though. It could hit for the most damage seeing as how Aron could be hit for regular damage. Right simple start to a hopefully simple battle, Jimmy was quickly formulating a plan of action. "Aron, use three Hardens, that should make you last through this round for now." Jimmy yelled. Significantly boosting Aron's defence should prevent defeat if either the pokemon had some surprise techniques Jimmy wasn't aware of. Next up was Beldum. It wasn't difficult to decide what move Beldum would be using, he only had the one, but he couldn't go ballistic with it as it severely drained on it's health. Still with the level difference between the two pokemon, it shouldn't take more than a couple of hits to knock out Elekid. "Right Beldum, Focus on your Attack and then use two Take Down's on Elekid!! Don't let up and try and protect Aron as best you can." Jimmy shouted. He doubted Beldum would protect Elekid since it knew attacking was far more important. But he thought he might as well at least throw in the order. Now it was just a matter of waiting to see how the attacks went down. Melissa had made a mistake letting him go first. She would certainly regret it. "Ready...Set...Execute!!" Jimmy shouted, as Beldum sped off towards it's targets. "This should be so...interesting." Jimmy thought to himself. |

Right, double battle; let's do this. Like you ordered, Aron used Harden three times and became very... hard. Which was a good strategy, since Furret doesn't know any special attacks and Elekid can't hit you with a Thundershock. So far it was good, so... yeah it's good. Onto your Beldum, the giant hunk of steel focused on its attack and quickly went for a Take Down on the Elekid. "Umm, quickly Elekid, use Quick Attack on the Beldum!" Quick Attack against a Steel Type? It seems like she doesn't know how to battle that well. But anyway, the Elekid used a Quick Attack on your Beldum and stopped the first Take Down. But like you ordered, your Beldum charged at the Elekid again and successfully hit the Elekid with another Take Down. It did a good amount of damage, so you were off to a good start. But now.. it was Melissia's turn. "Ack! Eek! Erm!!! Furret use Fury Swipes on the Beldum and then on the Aron!" Okay, I think I made this girl a little too soft for my liking. Her Furret charged at your Beldum and successfully landed four swipes, doing minimal damage. The Furret then changed targets to your Aron. The Furret got one swipe on the Aron, but then your Beldum jumped in the way to protect Aron, and got the remaining two swipes. But all that swiping paid a price for the Furret, because the Furret's claws were now worn out from scratching against the steel. While you may not have wanted that to happen, this battle was certainly going in your favor. "Oh no! My Furret!" said the girl. She frowned and it seemed like her eyes were tearing up; how sad. But now it was back to your turn. The type advantage is certainly a big factor in this battle, but also remember that your Aron is just a level five, so it could get knocked out quickly.

Things weren't going too badly. Jimmy's pokemon had dealt some hefty damage to the Elekid and the Furret ad weakened her claws by attempting to Scratch at the steel pokemon's hard shells. The girl didn't seem to be as tough as Jimmy had originally thought upon seeing her Furret. Still it was far too early in the battle to tell how good she really was. She may have a trick up her sleeve. Jimmy had to keep his guard up and make sure he didn't get overconfident. Just because she's young, doesn't mean she's weak. "She's practically been rendered useless with those claws" Jimmy thought to himself as he began to think of his next move. "But it's still a pretty high level. Beldum's only gonna hurt itself more and more if it's using Take Down and protecting Aron. Dammit." Jimmy finished as he focused back on the battle. The plan was still simple yet effective. Continue to boost Aron's defence and strike with Beldum. Hopefully that'll lessen the damage Beldum does to itself. Remembering how he won his old partner Houndour, Jimmy typed in some numbers on his poketech; 1-7-11-17-24 5-9-12-21-29 2-4-10-15-30 3-7-15-16-26 6-8-14-22-27 He then sent them off to the Zaroff Lottery to see if he would win. Since he had come into some money recently it didn't hurt to gamble a bit. "Okay here's the plan. Beldum, use two Strikes against that Elekid. Aron, use two more Harden's." Jimmy yelled. It wasn't a cunning plan, nor strategic. It was a simple attack and defend plan. Once Aron had enough defence to keep it surviving he could start attacking but for now it was best to keep on the safe side. This battle didn't mean anything except to make Aron a bit stronger. He didn't want to waste time by having it knocked out. "Attack" Edited by killaz, Apr 25 2010, 03:59 PM.

Melissa bit her lip worriedly, watching the Beldum move forward, striking her poor Elekid swiftly in the stomach. "N-no~!" she whined, apparently not too used to having battles go this way. It was hard, fighting two Steel-types with a Normal-type and a baby Pokemon. They just weren't prepared for this kind of thing! Aron followed his master's orders, focusing on its body and making its already hardy iron even stronger; it would take a lot to hurt him too badly, now. The Iron Armor Pokemon kept his distance from the rest of the battle as Beldum charged forward again. "Elekid! Use Thundershock on that Beldum!" she cried, hoping the attack would be enough to make the Pokemon falter. Elekid stood up straight, looking quite pained before it let loose a weak bolt of energy. The lightning came into contact with the Steel/Psychic type, but he seemed to hardly pay it any mind as he struck the Elekid once again. Elekid let out a squeal of pain as it was thrown back, hitting the ground quite hard. It didn't move after, and Furret looked worriedly to its companion; Elekid was knocked out. Good job, you're halfway there! Melissa recalled the Electric-type, watching the two Steel Pokemon cautiously. Her Furret's fur bristled angrily, letting out a small hiss as it turned to face them, readying its slightly dulled claws. "Furret!" Melissa barked, some of her previous worries now overcome by her need to win. "Quick Attack that Beldum! Do it twice!" Furret gave a "Fur!" of agreement before it darted forward at breakneck speeds, slamming once into Beldum's side. It staggered a little, rocked by the hard impact of flesh-against-steel. Trying to shake off the shock of the blow, the Furret once again shot itself at Beldum. Beldum saw it coming this time, however, and was able to move out of the way quickly enough for the Furret to miss. "No~! Furret!" Melissa whined, stomping her little foot in aggravation. "You aren't supposed to miss!" Both Beldum and Aron are standing strong, and now all that's left is the Furret! He's still in extremely good shape, and now that he's angry, you might have something of a real fight on your hands. What will your next moves be, Jimmy? Be careful! Team Jimmy Team Melissa |

Well things had certainly gone well. Maybe this girl wasn't that tough. Although with her innocent looks and young age, Jimmy never saw her as a threat in the first place. Still he had only taken down the weakest of her two pokemon. Jimmy still had the much higher levelled Furret to deal with. Although a Normal type against Steel wasn't the best match up the girl could've picked. All Jimmy had to do was be patient and cautious and this battle would be his. Jimmy couldn't help getting a little bored though. "I must say this wasn't what I expected." Jimmy started. "I hope that Furret of yours can put up a good fight. I'd hate to get bored." He finished, smiling. Mild threats always seemed to make the battle much more exciting. Although this opponent was different from normal opponents, she was much younger. Although he didn't care if she cried or not, he didn't want to draw too much negative attention for being a bully. He was going to take over this damned town, once each and every trainer was defeated. Anyway it was time to continue this battle...it was time to end it. "Right, Beldum, two Strike attacks, hit hard, and hit fast. Aron, use two Tackles once Beldums attacked. If Furret attacks, stay back and attack after!" Jimmy ordered. "Lets see how this plays out." With the girl's Elekid down for the count it was now two against one, advantage Jimmy. Things are looking a bit up for you. Beldum felt very confident with his strength, and Aron felt sufficiently defended with his five Hardens. On top of his double type resistance, he was set to take down this furry little bastard. Furret was a little worried, facing two steel typed with only normal type moves, but he trusted Melissa to lead him to victory. Psht, nobody wins in a battle against Jimmy...well...except for Jimmy. Beldum and Aron didn't hesitate to carry out their orders with haste. Beldum was the first to go, with his first Strike hitting dead on. Furret was knocked back a bit, and the second Strike knocked him down. Melissa looked worried. She called out to her Pokemon. "Furret! We can't afford to fall down like that! Use three Quick Attacks against that little Aron! He's a lower level than you so he should go down easily!" Furret got up in pain, and sighed at his trainer's orders. He knew that his type disadvantage would hinder him quite a bit, but he obeyed his trainer loyally. Dashing for three swift Quick Attacks against Aron, the little rock headed Pokemon didn't have time to defend himself. Luckily due to all the varying circumstances the attacks did very little damage on their own, and added up it was still very little damage. Aron nearly laughed at the feeble attempt to do him harm. Running at the now out of breath Furret, he hit him hard with his Tackle. Hitting him a second time was just as easy as the first strike. Both attacks did close to zero damage, but damage is still damage. Overall, you took very little damage and dealt out a decent amount. I'd say this was a good round. As long as you keep up the defence, there's very little chance of losing to this girl. She looked unimaginably angry, and you could almost see steam rising from her red face. She was stomping her feet in a very cliched fashion for little spoiled girls. You were doing a pretty good job irritating her. If you don't watch out she may run for daddy! Team Jimmy Team Melissa

How amusing it is to watch an opponent's feeble attempts at attacking, only to fail miserably. It was something that brought a smile to Jimmy's face. Although he was growing increasingly more bored as this match continued, he couldn't help but be slightly amused at how angry this little girl seemed to be getting. "Don't worry, you'll be out of your misery soon." Jimmy thought to himself as the final stages of the battle began to draw near. It would only take a few more well placed hits and this Furret would go down. Jimmy decided it would be okay to start attacking with the more powerful Take Down, rather than the feeble Strike he'd been relying on for now. The girl had pathetically wasted her turn attacking when she could've much more wisely inflicted some status de-boosters. Oh well, nothing she could do about it now. She could attack far less from now on. But then again, so could Jimmy. Timing was crucial at this point. He had to remember that even though Aron was incredibly sturdy right now, he was still a much lower level. Also Furret was a much more speedy opponent. Time to let loose. "Beldum time to hit hard. Use Take Down and spin as you strike forward to hit harder. After that use a regular Take Down. As for you Aron, use two Tackles, after Beldum has attacked." Jimmy ordered, content with his attacks. Even though Aron dealt next to no damage, it was still damage, and damage was good. Now it was time to end this once for all. "End it!" EDIT - As his pokemon executed their commands, Jimmy checked his poketech and typed in 5 simple numbers. "1, 7, 11, 17, 23." Sending them off to the lottery he returned his focus to battle. You should be careful. Although you quite clearly have the type advantage here, you don't want to get too arrogant; you might get too ahead of yourself, and then get your ass handed to you. Then again, this was a Furret against two Steel-types, so maybe arrogance is completely okay here. The poor Normal-type knew that it was more-or-less done for, but he was willing to fight as his master commanded. "Quickly, use Defense Curl, Furret!" Melissa cried to the fluffy Pokemon, who obeyed, wrapping himself tightly into a spherical shape, improving his overall defense by one point. A smart move, but overall, more than likely useless. Beldum moved forward, beginning to spin in the air as you commanded. He spiraled into Furret's back, causing the little Pokemon to shriek with pain. It was a very solid hit, knocking the poor Furret back a distance. The Steel/Psychic Pokemon didn't let up, however, and once again drove at the Normal-type with yet another Take Down, hitting with perhaps a little less damage than previous. However, the effect was still there as the Furret teetered backward, staggering and collapsing. "Come on Furret! Get back up!" Melissa wailed, tears of frustration in her eyes. Wanting to make Melissa happy, Furret staggered up, watching as Aron came running toward him, ready to go through with his two Tackles. Furret dodged around the first Tackle, bringing around and slamming a Quick Attack into Aron's hind end. The Steel Pokemon squeaked, but his increased Defense helped take away some of the pain. He whirled around, thrusting himself forward and slamming his hard head into Furret's side. Your Aron's looking a little tired, now; you might want to be wary and keep throwing Beldum forward in Take Downs, before Furret gets the idea to keep focusing on him! Team Jimmy Team Melissa

This was it. Jimmy smiled to himself as victory seemed to be within his grasp. The Furret was certainly going to put up a fight to the bitter end. But an end it would be for this pokemon and there was nothing Melissa could do about it. What a waste though. That Furret certainly had potential. If it wasn't for the fact Jimmy planned to stay in Nogou and continue battling, he may have been very tempted to give that Furret a new home. Never mind, if he kept up his training he wouldn't need any more pokemon. All he had to do was play it cool for one more round, and Furret should fall. "Well then...let's put an end to this, shall we?" Jimmy said, "I'd like to say you put up a good fight, but you're simply too young. There is so very much for you to learn, and you understand so little." He finished. Fair words Jimmy thought. A real trainer would take it as constructive criticism, the babies would run off crying. Anyway, down to business. "Beldum, two Take Downs, as hard as you can. Don't let your guard down for a second. Stay focused and protect Aron as best you can. Aron, stay back until Furrets attacked. Then deal out the finishing blow with a dual Tackle." Jimmy ordered. Here it was. Jimmy's favourite part of the battle. Just when victory seemed so close at hand. Would the girl pull out a miraculous turn around assault. Or would the battle play out as Jimmy had thought and end with his victory. It was a sensation that never gets boring. "Ready, Set, Execute!" |

I've read from the start to present, and I must say your luck has played a minor role. Why I say that? Because you chose to use two steel types and Melissa had no defense again that. If it wasn't an Elekid, it could've been something that were strong against Steel type. Well, certainly this battle looked as if it would come to an end, and maybe it will. Even though it is my job to tell you, I am going to make this the best I can. Tears swelled in Melissa's eyes. She heard your statement, and while she wasn't a baby running away crying, she definitely found it a little mean. Overall, she knew what you meant and accepted the comment. But the battle wasn't over. She had all the chance to make your day suck. Dodging, for one thing. Furret could dodge, but we'll have to see. You orders your Beldum to use two more Take Downs, hoping to finish this up. The hunk of steel went in for the finishing blow, but Furret was ready to keep fighting. She dodged, but going in, Beldum slightly had the idea of the pokemon doing that. Your pokemon swung around quickly, delivering a swift Take Down to Furret's torso. The damage was plenty, but not enough. If only it had the momentum from the first, the speed the Beldum had gotten, Furret would be done. Aron was left. Charging in, the Furret was too hurt to dodge and was hit. One tackle did it. Melissa brought the pokeball to chest-level, recalling her pokemon. Even though she had one or two more pokeballs with pokemon in them. She looked at you, tears still filled within her soft eyes. "Good battle." She complimented. Wiping away any tears that managed to nearly escape the wells of her eye lids, she turned. "Catch you around. I'm going to go heal up my pokemon. Maybe one day I will be as strong as you." With that, she started walking. You got the point immediately that she was through with it. Now that you're free of a battle, what is on your agenda now? BATTLE WON! gained 15.6 Leveled Up! Beldum is now level 17! With 4 exp left over. gained an amazing 24 !Leveled Up! Aron is now level 8 with 6 left over! Returning his two pokemon, Jimmy watched as the little girl ran off towards the pokemon centre. Everything had gone as planned. But that was only one win against a little girl. He needed to keep battling to get just a little bit stronger. And he needed to find stronger opponents. For now Beldum, Aron and Grimer were his main battalion with Zephtyrex there for flight if needed. But Jimmy wasn't leaving here until he'd beaten the leader. Though continuous battling would start getting repetitive, it was absolutely necessary right now. Maybe the forest held some trainers of sort. Most would be using bug/grass pokemon which also put Jimmy at an advantage. "Hmm so many decisions." Jimmy thought to himself as he placed his pokeballs into his pocket. He'd let them rest up a bit so they didn't get knocked out. Next battle he would probably send out Beldum and Grimer. Beldum was barely injured this battle and should easily be able to handle another. Naturally there were any people scattered about the town of Nogou. All potential opponents. But he couldn't just go up blindly begging for a battle like last time. Not only was it pathetically sad and desperate but also not a great way to get someone to agree to it. So what was the plan? The forest seemed pretty tempting right now. Not only could he battle trainers but also make some captures for trades and sales to increase his wallet. "Well then, I guess that's my destination" Jimmy continued to think to himself as he set out, away from his previous battlefield, towards his next. What trainers and pokemon would await inside the mighty forest. It wasn't long ago he had returned from the forest after felling Genbul. Time to return it would seem. Hopefully his next battle would be equally as exciting as his last battle in the forest. As the forest grew closer the sounds of what could only be pokemon began to fill the area. "This should be entertaining" |

Well, you decided to go for the forest. Your heart set on battling. Which I don't blame you, since you seem to really want to fight the gym leader. Good luck when you do, but for now, I'm going to prepare you. Besides, why not keep training Beldum and have him evolve in a couple of levels, right? Your walk into the forest was interrupted almost immediately. You had gotten very little distance from where you seen Melissa, and battled her. But now a man, looking only a little older than Melissa, blocked your path. He looked kind of angry, but he stared you down at first. You wondered why he was in front of you, and even tried to take a step. "Hold it right there." The man's voice was deep, showing age. He brought his hand up and pointed at you, but lowered his hand entirely. "My name is John. I'm Melissa's brother. You didn't make her feel very happy, and that is my little sister. You have to answer to me now!" Wait, you just came out of a battle with her, and now you have to fight him!? Well, you better hope your pokemon have the right stuff to fight this guy, he looked strong. "Go. Nuz. Bell." He called out a few names as he tossed two pokeballs. This will be a double battle by the looks of it. "Let's go; call out your pokemon!" He ordered, not wanting to mess around. Now you have the chance to train, but not just that... Attack first! "I don't think you know who you're dealing with." Jimmy smiled as he pulled out two pokeballs. "This time, I won't hold back." He finished as he slowly removed two pokeballs from his pocket. This battle looked like it was going to be a lot more interesting than the last. And his opponent had made the careless mistake of showing his pokemon before battle so now Jimmy knew exactly what pokemon to use. He already had the advantage. Throwing his two pokeballs into the air, Grimer and Beldum appeared ready for action. Neither one was affected by poison and barely hurt by grass types. It also looked like Jimmy had the first move this round. Big mistake for his opponent. Even worse for his opponent was that his name was John, and a recent deceit from a man named John Ranson had left Jimmy looking for revenge. Looks like this guy would take the full force of Jimmy's rage. Jimmy was starting to get pumped up. "Let's begin." Jimmy said as his pokemon began to burn with a fiery passion to battle. "Starting with a bang. Grimer, use three Sludges to hit hard on that Nuzleaf. Beldum, Focus your Attack then use two Strike attacks on Nuzleaf. Got it?" Jimmy ordered. Sludge was super effective so an assault right out, should deal great amounts of damage. Now then, let the battle commence. "Execute!!" |

You seem to be sizing the opponent up already. Most, if not all, of your theories are right. It was bad of what he did, showing the pokemon first, letting you attack first, and well, he had no control over his name. But those pokemon did look strong, no matter what type they were. You started off ordering each to use three attacks, and just like his sister, John showed a little surprise. He didn't think you'd be starting off that quick using the three moves, so now he thought maybe he should. Although you were affected by poison, I'm sure your pokemon can go to sleep. A little less effective against either, but always an option. This time, it was only a simple thought that skimmed John's mind. His commands were simple; Nuzleaf was ordered to use Harden, Growth, and Nature Power; Bellsprout was ordered to use Growth, Focus, and Wrap. Everyone would be using their triple attack turn in the first round. Was it so smart? Beldum took his time using Focus. He was letting Grimer do his attacks first. It was a quick moment that he took, crafting three good Sludges and tossing them. At first, Nuzleaf reacted fast, dodging not just one, but two of the Sludges before being distracted by rushing to use Harden. He got the boost in, but was hit by the sludge. It did okay damage, nothing too little but nothing big. Next, Nuzleaf got in his Growth before having to take two Strikes from Beldum, who used his claw-like butt to attack, dealing damage to the grass pokemon. What a beating this guy was taking! Now it was Bellsprouts turn to get some things in. His Growth and Focus worked fine, and fast. He stared down the Beldum, who just hit Nuzleaf and had no time to escape. Vines lashed out and grabbed Beldum, conserving him within the tangle. Nuzleaf was the last one now, using Nature Power. The grass wasn't as tall as he'd like it to be for this move, but it worked all the same. He charged up grass-attributed energy and fired several seed-like things that bursts on Beldum. As you teamed up to get Nuzleaf out, they are trying to get Beldum out. "How about we wage on this battle?" John said, feeling very confident. He took out his wallet, opening it up, "Two hundred dollars for the winner, deal?" He was asking you to bet on the fight. If you feel confident yourself, you could accept it or try to hassle a little more. Supplies would come in handy before seeing the Gym Leader. Jimmy John |
