Jimmy stared at the Mightyena. Their eyes met and Jimmy knew this battle was exactly what he had just asked for. He said to himself he would never run away again. He was not going to go back on his word. He was going to fight and he was going to win. Jimmy reached into his pocket and went to pull out the two pokeballs containing his only two pokemon, Grimer and Beldum. When his hand ran across a third pokeball Jimmy froze and slowly pulled it out of his pocket. He looked at it for a second, completely puzzled about how it got there. Then he remembered the lottery and snapped back to reality "Sorry about that." Jimmy said, looking at...Jimmy. Strange they had the same name, and pokemon. Jimmy was curious about how he said 'mine'. If Jimmy was correct in thinking why the older Jimmy guy said 'mine' like that, Jimmy was going to be seriously freaked. "Right then, 2 v 1 here we go. Beldum, Grimer, front and centre." Jimmy yelled, throwing both his pokeballs into the battlefield at the same time. Beldum and Grimer burst forth from their pokeballs in a rage. They weren't happy about running from battle either. This was their chance to show both Jimmy's what they were capable of. This guy acted a little strangely, he was no regular trainer but Jimmy felt comfortable around him. For some reason Jimmy could trust this guy. Even if this guy turned out to be a axe-wielding maniac. "BATTLE SET, BEGIN" Jimmy yelled. "Beldum, Focus your attack power and hit hard with a Take Down. Grimer hit hard with a Sludge, then a Pound." Jimmy yelled, remembering that he had told Grimer to try and attempt the Sludge attack they had been practising, hoping this would help Grimer learn it easier. Alright. Engage grappler combat mode. Wait. This isn't Outlaw Star? Aww man. Ok. Pokemon time. We've got Grimer and Beldum versus Mightyena. Who will win? Personally, I've got my bets on Mightyena. Looks like Jimmy has his on Mightyena and Jimmy has his on Beldum and Grimer. Damn. Why are they both named Jimmy? Well, you'll be Jimmy Z and he's Jimmy A. So now: LET THE GAMES BEGIN! Beldum glowed with an unearthly light for a split second. Then, he charged forwards at the Mightyena. Mightyena still looked pissed off. It was crouched down, coiled up like a spring. Jimmy A watched your Beldum stream forward like a cannonball ready for collision. And ready for a collision it was. Jimmy A smiled as Beldum came forwards. He said, "Hmmm. I've been watching this here Mightyena for a few days now. I know what she's capable of. Mightyena, wait until he's close then bite down and use Fire Fang." Fire Fang? Could your luck get any worse? Grimer on the other hand, seemed to be faring pretty well. He concentrated for a second and then spat a bunch of slime at Mightyena. It wasn't really a poisonous blob, but it was a blob of nasty stuff. It flew forwards fast enough that it was just ahead of Beldum. Then, Grimer began to slowly edge its way forwards to get in its pound attack. Mightyena opened its mouth to prepare for Fire Fang and you saw a pinkish mass fly straight into Mightyena's mouth. Jimmy A cried out in rage, "No! That was just dumb luck." Dumb luck or not, Beldum cannonballed right into Mightyena's neck three seconds later. You could hear things cracking. Grimer reached Mightyena and hit it, but it didn't do much damage. Mightyena tossed it away and lashed out at Beldum with a bite. Things weren't too bad were they? Level 7 31/41 80%[Sludge 70%] Level 6 10/37 75%VS Level 19 79/88 90%Still, you might want to use those potions that Jimmy A gave you... Edited by Blazing Falcon, Mar 25 2009, 09:47 PM.

Wow that hadn't worked as well as Jimmy had thought. He knew Mightyena would be incredibly more powerful than his pokemon, but he hadn't counted on his pokemon doing such little damage between the two of them. He was going to have to think of something that could do more damage and result in his pokemon taking less. He couldn'y use a Potion every turn. That would deplete his already small supply and he couldn't afford many more. "Okay Beldum keep your distance this round okay? Use a Staredown to weaken Mightyena's defence. Grimer use a Poison Gas so we can whittle down her life force quicker. Then try a Sludge attack again. Sorry I'm pushing you so hard with this move, but if we can master Sludge, battles will be a lot easier." Jimmy ordered. He had really underestimated his opponent's power, but he would never allow himself to run away like a scared chicken ever again. Suddenly Jimmy had begun to make himself angry. He pointed at Mightyena and smiled. Your going down pal haha." Jimmy whipped out a Potion and sprayed it on his Beldum. It looked like Beldum felt better, hopefully he wouldn't get struck by another vicious attack like that anytime soon. Guess the battle had to continue, and this one looked like it could go on for awhile. |

Here you were again with your commands to have your pokemon attack this other Jimmy. It was definately a good idea to keep some distance between your pokemon and the opponent, seeing as he was atleast 12 levels higher than your pokemon individually, and still six levels higher than them together. Anyways, let's get this show in road! "Mightyena, I know I'm not your true trainer, but let's win this battle anyways. Use Sand Attack on grimer and then approach Beldum and use..." Jimmy said trying to remember the move he'd seen Mightyena use a while back. FOr a while he couldn't come up with the name, and it was obvious that he couldn't by the look on his face, until eventually he snapped and rememebred the attack name with a smirk. "Then use Sucker Punch on Beldum." Now that all the attacks where set it was time to see how the combinations would turn out. Let's start things off with your Beldum, shall we? Stare down is, as you know, a move that involves eye contact between the user and the victim, if the victim however did now look at the victim as is necessary the attack is a failure. Luckily for you, Mightyena was glaring at your Beldum angrily for crashing into its neck just as your Beldum (having just been sprayed by the potion) began to use stare down. The red-tint that your beldum's eye had taken was reflecting off of Mightyena's eyes for some time, keeping its defenses low as yolur grimer began to release a putrid stench from its toxic body. In a matter of moments, the entire battlefield was covered in the foul stench your Grimer had released, luckily for you and the other Jimmy, it didn't effect humans like it did pokemon. However, Mightyena wasn't so lucky as it took a whiff of the vial stench, beginning to cough moments after. Luckily enough for it however, this caused it to quick looking into Beldum's eye and thus, it was able to turn over towards Grimer and kick up a wave of sand which almost instantly covered the sludge pokemon as it released a ball of sludge through the air towards Mightyena. The sludge soon enough struck Mightyena on its side, leaving a patch of purple on its fur for a moment before it started to whimper and shake it off. Beldum of course, started to feel a little bad at this point, you could see it in his "face" as he slowly moved over towards Mightyena, little did he know that Mightyena was just luring him into a trap, and as he drew close Mightyena snapped and leapt towards the steel-type pokemon, ramming into it with all her strength into the ground where it was buried for quite some time, in the end coming out with less HP than it had even before having used the potion on itself. Oh, but we didn't forget about your little grimer, did we? Well, remember that sand from earlier? You know, the one that covered your grimer from head to metaphorical-toe? Well, that same sand mixed with your grimers sludge-like body has begun to harden, and your grimer seems to be immobile for the most part, all it has left is its right hand, as it was the only thing not covered in sand from the start. Level 7 31/41 73%[Sludge 80%] [Immobolized by sand, except for right arm] [Accuracy -1] Level 6 4/37 70%VS Level 19 72/88 81%

"Oh...s**t!!" Jimmy exclaimed. He certainly hadn't expected that. Grimer had become pretty much useless except for his right arm. Maybe Jimmy could still launch attacks with that one arm though. As for Beldum, Jimmy couldn't keep healing him, but it was something he had to do. Mightyena was hardly weakened. If things kept going the way they were, this battle would drag on until Jimmy ran out of Potions, or until Mightyena struck a critical point and knocked out one his pokemon instantly. Plans that would definately end horribly entered Jimmy's head. All he wanted was one spurt of genious that could help him deal a lot of damage whilst taking little. Then again, he guessed thats what all trainers wanted. "Okay Beldum, heres a plan. DON'T FALL FOR SUCKER PUNCH!!" Jimmy yelled. He was angry with himself that he couldn't find a way to win. "Ah, theres always a way to win these battles. Thats what battles are all about." Jimmy thought to himself. Realising he shouldn't have yelled at Beldum, Jimmy decided he better apologize. "Sorry Beldum, it's not your fault. But we gotta win this. Heres the real plan. Use Focus to raise your defence. Then use Take Down, but only if you see an opening. If it looks like Mightyena will attack, do nothing and stay out of the way." Jimmy ordered. He whipped out another Potion and sprayed Beldum with it. Hopefully his little pokemon would avoid being attacked this turn. Now onto Grimer. He wondered if his pokemon could hear him, but he would have to give orders anyway. "Grimer, with only the use of your arm, you are going to have to use it to hurl a blob of sludge at Mightyena. I don't know if you can see or not, but try and sense her movements. You know what I'm going to order Grimer. USE SLUDGE!!" Jimmy yelled. Hopefully trying to sense the pokemon's movements, will help Grimer concentrate more, finally helping him master Sludge. All the attacks were set. All Jimmy could do was sit back and wait in anticipation. |

I'm going to suggest that this whole battle thing isn't going too great for you at the moment. I mean, your Grimer had been turned to stone (more or less), and your Beldum was once more reduced to its final defences, forcing you to use yet another potion on the poor creature. Ah well, I guess it can't be helped. Let's just find a way out of this mess, huh? First thing's first; the potion. With a flick of your wrist you knocked the cap off the spray bottle and hit the trigger, allowing the entire pinkish-white liquid to come rushing out of the nozzle, the super-medicine instantly setting to work at repairing Beldum's injuries. At the same time as this was happening, you were, of course, issuing your commands to both of your Pokémon. Beldum seemed a little taken aback when you shouted at it, but overall I think that it understood that you were just a little bit tense and anxious at the moment, so didn't take you words to heart. It sure was nice of you to appologise so quickly, but in the Pokémon's mind it wasn't really required. Everybody has their stressfull moments, and Beldum understood that. Just a shame that it couldn't actually let you know any of this. Instead, the Beldum started to just do what you'd asked. First off he concentrated his strength, trying to harden his steel to raise his defence just that little extra bit, always weary of what the Mightyena was doing. Now, Grimer was just having a ball! A minute ago he'd been an active participant in this battle, but now he was reduced to an increasingly less mobile mound of icky smelling mud... basically. I'm not exactly sure what else to call him, because he was in some serious trouble here. His only chance was his right arm which was lucky enough to not be hit by the Sand Attack, and the only thing that he could hope to do with it, unless the Mightyena came into striking distance, was to practice the Sludge attack that you'd been trying to teach him this whole time. Well, it couldn't be too hard, right? I mean, all he did was alow some of his body sludge to ooze down his arm and then he'd fling it at the other guy. Unfortunately, there were a couple of complications this time. First of all, due to his entire body hardening after coming into contact with that huge wave of sand, Grimer had to work really hard to gather enough slimey go to be able to throw, so he took a little longer than usuall. But look at this in a good way - now that he sould do it with thicker slime, gathering up slime of his regular consistancy should be a breeze! The second complication was actually hitting his target; with a ball of thick goo in his hand, Grimer was ready to attack, but couldn't move his head enough to actually keep track of Mightyena's movements, and the sand in his eyes meant that even when he did see the wolf Pokémon, he had trouble focusing on it, and thus judging the correct distance became difficult. In desperation, Grimer decided to just throuw the sludge and then gather up for the next attack, hoping to get in a lucky hit or two. Now lets take a look at what Mightyena's doing. Jimmy (not you; the other guy) had shouted out a bunch more orders, this time aiming for a more simple aproach than the complicated attacks it had been using up until this point. "Mightyena, you're doing a great job! How about you up your Attack with a Howl, and then hit that Grimer with Bite attack this time?" Well, at first it seemed like a decent strategy, but between you and me, it was going to backfire... badly! Mightyena listened closely to Jimmy's orders, getting to like the guy a little more as the battle was progressing, but that's not important now. What is important is that the wolf stopped where she was standing and threw her head back, letting out an impressive Howl. Howl... you know, like a really noisy noise? That's when Grimer chose to strike. Jimmy had thought that in its current state, the Grimer would be unable to attack. Oh how wrong he was, and as soon as the slimey Pokémon heard the sound of the wolf, he had his target. I glob of purple sludge flew through the air and contacted the Mightyena square in the side of the face. Not bad for a Pokémon that could only move about an 8th of its body. Beldum took the openeing and flung itself at its opponent, driving both Pokémon hard into the ground, though the damage to Mightyena was far greater than it was to the steel-type, who promptly picked itself up (if that's appropriate terminology) and retreated a few feet, waiting for your next comands. Mightyena struggled to her feet, angered at both of your Pokémon, making this battle all the more dangerous. She began to charge towards your imobile Grimer, fangs bared and gleeming in the light. That's when she was struck in the face by a second Sludge. This impromtu attack from Grimer had come as a complete surprise and Mightyena howled once more, but this time in pain, not anger, as the purple goo seemed into the wolf's fur and skin. Mightyena didn't even try to finish her attack, mainly due to the fact that with the poisonous goo across her face she was unable to actually see anything, and secondly because she'd just started to feel a little bit sick. Could this be Poison? You're damn right it could... which is great news, because that meant that Grimer had finally figured out how to use Sludge. Congratulations! So, all in all, this round went pretty well. Beldum's focus was kinda wasted, since it never got attacked this round, but that's not big deal really. The important thing is that you managed to inflict some major ouchies. Don't get too cocky though, because the battle's not won yet. You're still in a little bit of a predicament. Whatcha gunna do? [OOC = Just noticed this. I have a Level 7 Beldum, not Level 6] Jimmy punched the air as Grimer finally managed to master Sludge. It had taken a bit of time but at least now it was mastered and Jimmy could use it as freely as he liked. If only Grimer wasn't encased in a shell then he could really celebrate. The chances of winning had severely dropped with Grimer's condition however, with Mightyena's face covered in Sludge, visibilty would be lessened. And it was poisoned. If Jimmy was a cowardly battler, he would order Beldum to keep avoiding until the poison took it's course. "There has to be a way to free Grimer from his prison" Jimmy thought to himself. With the sludge and sand mixed togethor, Jimmy wondered what he could do. There must be someway. "Hmm fire might work." Jimmy said to himself. His heart suddenly skipped a beat when he realised what he had in his pocket. "Of course, Houndour!!" Jimmy yelled to himself. Houndour was a fire type and it knew Ember. That would surely free Grimer from his captive shell. However there was no way he could just summon Houndour to the battlefield. That was cheating. And since Jimmy actually had respect for this opponet, cheating was something he couldn't do. "Then again. That doesn't mean I can't bring him to the field." Jimmy thought to himself yet again. "Beldum, take a break. I need to reurn you for a few rounds." Jimmy yelled out as he pulled out a pokeball and returned his Beldum to it's pokeball. He then drew out another pokeball that contained his lottery won Houndour. He threw the pokeball into the air and Houndour popped out, landing at his feet, growling, ready to battle. "Alright girl heres what we need to do. Avoid that Mightyena is our top priority. If it looks like it's going to come near you, run. I need you to use Ember on Grimer to melt that sandy shell, keeping it pinned down. Grimer, use Sludge. Try to hit it, but don't worry if you can't." Jimmy yelled. He hoped the fire attack wouldn't hurt Grimer. |

Beldum gave one last glance towards Mightyena. Then, he glanced at you one last time and retreated. As you pulled the ball out to return Beldum Mightyena started dashing in your direction. The center button was pushed to enlargen the ball and... Mightyena clamped down on Beldum with his teeth, performing the dreaded Bite attack! Beldum seemed to slowly close its eyes and if it could, it would have smiled. At least it was a peaceful fainting... Regardless, you pulled Beldum from the front lines, sent out Houndour, and Mightyena pulled away from before you got mad and smacked her. As she trotted away, she cringed from the poison branded onto his face. Upon Houndour's enter, Mightyena took one glance and shivered. Perhaps the wolf-like Pokemon had a bad encounter with one at a previous time? Maybe. But right now, Houndour seemed to frighten her, Grimer was preparing a ball of sludge the size of a bowling ball now, and Houndour just recieved orders. Running to Grimer, he started to dance around him and peppered Grimer with flames. The sand broke and went to a soft state, but Houndour was scared of hurting Grimer so avoided torching his face. Free and still somewhat blinded, Grimer lobbed his nasty poo-poo sludge at Mightyena. Just when the dog thought that Grimer's sludge wouldnt' be a problem anymore, she's nailed with a giant glob of sludge. Getting smacked right in the heart/chest area, she cringed and glared at Grimer. Now noticing that he was completely mobile again, she started to slowly circle Houndour and Grimer. Now aware that there were two worthy foes, she remembered that Beldum was down and wouldn't be returning. "Alright, girl, try this," Jimmy, your foe, shouted to his Pokemon. "I want you to Howl for strength, Tackle Houndour, and Bite Grimer. That should do something." Jimmy stood back as he finished his commands, knowing things would get ugly. Picking her head up, Mightyena lifted her head up and howled, front paws pinned together. Once finished and revigorated for battle, Mightyena dashed around and, once close enough, collided with Houndour. After charging over him, she turned and clamped down on Grimer, leaving his gel on the surrounding area and on her paws. She pulled away, put not fast enough for Grimer to launch his own glob of Sludge at her. This battle was looking pretty even now, although Beldum was fainted at the last second. This would frustrate me, but you aren't me. You're you. Perhaps Houndour is the key to defeating Mightyena and Jimmy Two. Jimmy reeled back in shock as Mightyena's sudden assault knocked his Beldum out before Jimmy was able to return it. Beldum was Jimmy's first real pokemon and seeing it knocked out like that made Jimmy almost lose the will to continue the battle. Seeing his most trusted pokemon so easily wasn't something Jimmy was used to and it wasn't a nice feeling. Jimmy actually felt a little sick as he watched Beldum recalled back to it's pokeball in pain as it's last amount of hp was wiped from it. "No...Beldum!!" Jimmy yelled out. There was nothing Jimmy could do about it now though. He had to keep on battling and so he watched on as Houndour followed his orders and freed her new battling partner Grimer. Looks like Jimmy would be using her this battle from now on. There was no way Beldum could be revived now and Jimmy may as well use the advantage of the 2 v 1 battle he had been given. "Houndour looks like you'll have to engage in your first battle here and now. I want you to keep your distance as best as possible and use Ember. Grimer, good to see you moveable again. Use Harden and then use a Pound attack." Jimmy ordered. This combo had worked well in the last battle, hopefully it would work just as well this time round. Mightyena was the toughest challenge Jimmy had ever faced. Every second in battle could lead to his defeat. And yet Jimmy was exhilirated. He'd never enjoyed battle so much before. For once in his life, winning wasn't the most important thing to him. This was a test for himself and his pokemon in a situation that should be unwinnable. |

Houndour's first battle with you as her trainer. Now though she was able to free Grimer from his weird impromptu prison, I have to question your judgment here. A small Level 5 puppy against a MIGHTYENA? This is spelling Doomsville all over here. But hey, you're the trainer here. I'm just the magical floating voice that informs you of your battles and haunts your dreams. Sometimes, I even watch you pee. Anyways, let's see how well your battling duo can do against Mightyena. The answer? Not well. See, Houndour was young, and this was her first battle. She was terrified of her opponent, and scared as hell in general of failing her trainer. This didn't add up well. However, you were extremely smart. Though it seems to be accidental. By giving Houndour only one move to focus on this round, not only did you make it easier for her to overcome the fear, but also let her focus on that particular ember and make it just a teeny bit stronger than normal. Though it was a weak move to begin with, and Mightyena was tough. Grimer toughened himself up as Houndour shot an Ember at Mightyena, who only laughed as he felt a little heat and let loose a Growl. "Aaw Mightyena, come on. Don't waste the round like that. We don't need a Growl. But since we still got time, why don't you Bite that Houndour? Give it a good chomp." With pleasure... The mightyena seemed to say, as he rushed forward and bit down on your Houndour, shaking her a little bit, and tossing her aside. That must have been a little vengeance for the Ember attack. However, Mightyena let out a lood "Oof!" sound as the hardened Grimer tackled Mightyena. Though his attack was lowered, the hardened Grimer made up for it. Reality over game systems, after all. You might have a bit of a chance, Mightyena's ribs are smarting now. But Houndour was REALLY shaken up, and might not even attack next round. Better take care of her quick, and let her know she'll be alright. Or withdraw her. Your Pokemon: Level 7 ![]() 28/37 40%(Attack -1) (Defense +1) Level 5 ![]() 17/35 88%(Attack -1) (Badly shaken up, will not attack next round unless soothed) --VS.-- Enemy Pokemon: Level 19 ![]() 37/88 55%{Atk. +1} (Ribs hurting) |

[OOC = Mightyena is Poisoned as well] Jimmy sighed as he watched his Houndour fly across the battlefield as Mightyena ripped into her with his mighty fangs. "I guess I can't expect so much from you in your first battle against such a mighty opponent, sorry girl. Return and rest up. You've done more than enough, thankyou." Jimmy said as he pulled out Houndour's pokeball and prepared to launched it towards Houndour. Remembering what happened to Beldum, Jimmy knew he had to launch an assault against Mightyena so that Houndour could be returned safely. "Grimer your doing amazing. We need to keep Mightyena focused on you so it's time to go all out, gottit?" Jimmy yelled. He was going to have to ask Grimer to attack more times than usual so as to end this battle quicker and keep Houndour safe. "Right first I want you to use Sludge. Aim for Mightyena's eyes. Next jump into the air and execute another Harden-Pound combo." Jimmy ordered. He knew he was pretty much repeating the same tactics as before, but he couldn't take any chances in this battle. If it was against a pokemon similar to his pokemon's levels, Jimmy would take more risky actions so that his pokemon could find new combos and gain more confidence, but here Jimmy had to ensure his pokemon's safety as this was the most difficult battle Jimmy had ever faced. After giving his orders Jimmy turned to his opponent. He looked him and the eyes and waited for him to give his orders to Mightyena. He still held the pokeball in his hand. It was time to return Houndour. Jimmy threw the pokeball as hard as he could so that it would fly faster and reach Houndour faster. Seeing as how Mightyena was faster than the speed his pokeball could normally fly, Jimmy had to make sure more power was behind it. Well, hopefully Grimer could take care of Mightyena on his own. With Mightyena poisoned and at low HP, Grimer just needed to hang in a few more rounds and the poison would take it's course. |

Taking precautions, aren't ya? Good! "Mightyena, bite that Houndour before he throws his pokeball!!" Jimmy shouted, probably deaf seeing as how you told your Grimer to use sludge in order to keep him away. Then again, maybe he thought the sludge wouldn't be a problem...That sounds familar, doesn't it? I mean, he made that mistake before, right? Anyway, the Mightyena gave a confident nod and went to jump at your Houndour. Grimer, on the other hand, gave her a quick shot of sludge that no doubt was a mistake to think it would be harmless. Mightyena was hit in the side, not the eyes, though she would normally be faster then the sludge attack, her ribs still pained her, and the sludge made her yelp form the impact. She wasn't poisoned, but it did hurt her. She growled a little at the Grimer, and, before her trainer yelled out to do so, went to bite the Grimer. However, a Grimer is a pile of living sludge itself, and when the Mightyena bit him, she was quickly poisoned from the inside. "Ah, Mightyena, dang it! Who told you to go bite him?!" He shouted angrily, though he knew he was going to order her to do the same. The Mightyena, however, was too busy enduring the poison and the sludge inside her. Your Grimer also felt damage, having been ripped apart, but, nonetheless, endured the quick pain from the bite and hardened himself to pound the Mightyena while she was down. The Mightyena took the damage, plus the poison, plus his ribs, so it dealt quite a blow, aaaannnnd he was throwing up. His trainer looked sick from the sight too, but the real deal was inside the Mightyena who was either purposely trying to throw it up, or just throwing up because she was disgusted. Jimmy wiped away a bead of sweat that was running down his forehead. Grimer had saved the day by interrupting Mightyena's attack with Sludge. However it had come at a price as Grimer was nearly beat. Jimmy needed to heal his pokemon before he would be knocked out. Jimmy had ne last potion, given to him by his opponent. He had to use it now. That would probably allow Grimer to survive one more round, then the next attack after that would surely be his end. Jimmy slowly reached into his pocket and pulled out a potion. He walked over to Grimer and sprayed his pokemon with the medicine, watching as Grimer was restored to nearly full health. Jimmy only needed to use a few more attacks and then Mightyena would hopefully be down and out. Looking at Mightyena it couldn't last much longer. It was vomiting violently and the poison coursing through it's veins couldn't be helping. Jimmy needed to end this battle quickly, for both his pokemon and his opponent's sake. "Okay Grimer lets wrap things up. Use a Sludge one more time and then use Pound. Try and avoid as best you can." Jimmy ordered. There wasn't much he could say apart from that. Hopefully Grimer could dodge Mightyena as the fact that it was blinded slightly, and had injured ribs would slow it down a lot. "Are you ready Jimmy? You're going down." Jimmy yelled. He would not allow himself to lose. Especially not to someone who had the same name as him. |

Jimmy looked at you, a stubborn look on his face. "Mightyena! Come on, let's at least get one more attack in!" He shouted, a little pained he pushed his partner so hard while he was throwing up. "Mightyena....Use Tackle!" He said in a soft, but very audible, voice. The Mightyena, who was pale and dirty from the mess, stood up weakily. However, seeing your Grimer shot a sludge at her, her legs gave out. In result, the sludge shot over her, only a foot away from Jimmy, who stared at it blankly. Mightyena seemed oblivious to the sludge that flew over her, and stood up once more. Grimer, however, wasn't done either. Grimer began to go in for a pound, only for the Mightyena to use the last strength she had and tackle the grimer as hard as she could before chomping down. Mightyena passed out, having been sick, her energy wore out faster. As for Grimer, he still stood tall, a little hurt, but nothing a little Nurse Joy couldn't fix. Jimmy sighed, but his head soon lefted up with a happy little grin, "Come on. Let's go to the pokemon center..." He said, mostly to Mightyena. In defeat, he called back the Mightyena who bravely fought until the end. Now, even you and the other Jimmy should know, it was certain Mightyena needed to rest. He silently glaced at you before going ahead to the little pink Nurse Joy. Apparently, he forgot about the prize. Still, he was going to the same place as you, so there's a chance his old age will remember his promise, right? Jimmy stood in silence as he returned Grimer to his pokeball. He didn't say anything. He didn't need to say anything. Grimer knew what this victory meant to both of them. He had successfully held his own and defeated a pokemon that far outmatched his strength. He had earned his spot on Jimmy's team. Jimmy waited as the other Jimmy walked passed him to head to the pokemon centre. He didn't want to walk with him. If he did, his opponent might think he was clinging to him for the reward. Jimmy did not care about the reward. He had forgotten about the reward completely. The fact that he came out the victor was plenty. As his opponent walked past, Jimmy muttered something under his breath, maybe his opponent heard, maybe he didn't, it didn't really matter. "So it's over." Jimmy put his hands in his pocket and waited for Jimmy to enter the pokemon centre. He started thinking it was best to head back now, as Grimer needed to rest. Beldum especially needed to rest. He had put his heart and soul into the battle but he had unfortunately ended up in defeat. It would hurt Beldum's pride no doubt but with more training Beldum would become stronger and stronger, and thats all that mattered right now. Jimmy started walking to the pokemon centre and when he entered he couldn't see his opponent. He wasn't looking for him, but he wondered where he had gotten to. It didn't matter, he may have been at the counter and Jimmy simply didn't notice. Jimmy walked up to the counter and placed his pokeballs down upon it. He turned to face the entrance and waited for the nurse to heal his team. He didn't know why people asked the Nurse to heal their pokemon, it was obvious that that was what they wanted and that was her job. It was like telling her to do what she was paid to do. Still Jimmy used to be like that. Not anymore. The new Jimmy was determined to grow in strength and make his name known to the world. No matter how he accomplished it. All Jimmy had to do was wait for the Nurse to return his pokemon and then he could head on out. He had training to do. |
