[Nogou Village] The girl stayed quiet. It may not have been because you were right, or because she secretly let them. They had rather strong pokemon, and were going after a Bulbasaur. Scyther, as well, which could’ve hurt them more if not for Houndoom. Her babysitting, as she felt, had been nothing bad. Wrong doing, maybe. The only part was letting the kids go off alone to Joukai Pass, but they would’ve been okay if not meeting up with the man standing on the other side of the field—you. Metang made a groaning sound, and then his body becomes engulfed in a pink aura. At the same time, Roserade had the same, but she was being lifting by an unknown force. Through yells and screams, Roserade was being mentally The girl returned her pokemon and stood there for a few seconds in shock. Her pokemon had been wiped out sort of easily. When going two-on-one for each round, it sure was harsh and effective. Through clenched fists and teeth, the girl looked like she might run at you to attack you. But she didn’t. Instead, she turned the boys and the three of them started to run. A lone pokemon lay behind them. Scyther grunted, and moved a scythe in front of him. To him, humans were turning into tools. They were stupid, and abused his kind—pokemon, in general. All the same, he tried getting up. Assuming that he is the scythe you quested after, you held up a pokeball and caught it. Now, you had a new Bulbasaur and a new Scyther. With Scyther added to the team, you could leave Nogou if you wanted too. Thinking of Peddleton, you must realize you have to be in Millenia. The leaves cut the bark a hell of a lot more, and even made a scratch, a deep one, in the tree. |

So it was over. Jimmy felt a cool breeze run across his face as the wind blew past gently. It was like the end of a final battle, and he stood there victorious as his opponents ran off like the wimps they were. Maybe he was glad about the win, maybe about catching the final pokemon for his team, or maybe, he was just glad to never see them again. For the first time in a long time, Jimmy felt calm. Right now he had no negative emotions. He wanted to savour this moment. This moment of complete serenity as he continued on his journey. He wanted to hold this feeling, as it was starting to make him gag... Snapping back to his senses, Jimmy recalled Metang, Bulbasaur and Grimer and stored them into his belt. He then walked a boring journey back to the pokemon center and let the Nurse take them with little fuss. Once she returned, he pulled out some money and requested to buy a Guild License, seeing as now he was part of this, Captoris Corporation thing. His pokemon had become quite powerful through this whole ordeal, but they still needed to be stronger. Jimmy wouldn't be content until they were the most dominant force in all of Alternia. There was only one person preventing him from reaching that goal. And Jimmy wouldn't rest until he laid in the dust. Jimmy scrolled through his poketech to find information about this new group, and, if he was drinking anything, would have spat it out all over the floor when he found the leader. Ashley...Jimmy smiled, maliciously. This was the one he was looking. What better time to be part of a group, when the leader is the one you want to destroy. Jimmy received his pokemon and his license and left the center. If he wanted any chance of beating this guy, he needed to train a lot more. Walking to what he hoped would be a deserted area, Jimmy pulled out his six pokemon, Metang, Grimer, Nidorino, Tentacool, Bulbasaur, and Scyther. Scyther looked at him with mistrust, Jimmy simply stared back and started talking. "Behold, the final shape of this team. You all have changes to undergo until I can truly call you almighty. You have all performed as I had expected during the last battle, and fought with all your might. For this you have my thanks." Jimmy started. He wasn't ashamed to admit that he was proud of the power they had displayed. "But you will all need to grow stronger. Metang, I want to focus on the speed aspect of your strength. We will begin by teaching you Bullet Punch. Grimer and Nidorino, you will both be focusing on a move known as Thunderbolt. Tentacool, let's wrap up the move we tried a while back. Bulbasaur, I want you to start on learning a move known as Power Whip. Finally Scyther, you will be learning a move known as Double Team." Jimmy finished. He would need them to scatter so he could train them individually. Metang Metang was already pretty close to learning Bullet Punch. But Jimmy needed it now, to move on to a more powerful attack. "Metang, the secret here is speed. You can fold your limbs up to move at high speeds. Try moving as quick as possible to a targeted area of your choice and hammer out a punch!" Jimmy ordered. It was simple, but that was what the move was. Grimer and Nidorino This was going to be tricky, as electricity wasn't part of either of these pokemon's natures. "Right you two. First of all we need to hone in your electrical prowess. Understand that you can unleash electricity and find the point of release. Nidorino, I believe your release is in your horn, and Grimer, your mouth. Start by trying to build up the smallest of sparks in that concentrated area. Really focus on power as electrical sparks can be set off by pure power." Jimmy ordered. This one would be tricky, but it was necessary. Tentacool - Water Pulse "You pretty much have this move down. Focus on utilising your Supersonic abilities into the water you can already perform, and unleash!" Jimmy ordered. Bulbasaur - Power Whip Power Whip was a strong move...Jimmy wanted it. "Bulbasaur, believe it or not, this move is all about control...organised chaos I believe it is called. Firstly, unleash your vines and let them run loose as you spin them in a frenzy. Let yourself be aware of how much control you actually have on them, as you will need to release a lot of power into them. Then focus on hammering down." Jimmy finished up/ Scyther - Double Team "Scyther, Double Team is all about speed, and you know speed. Start by gathering up energy and dash in a circle as fast as possible. If you run and focus hard enough, you should actually be able to duplicate yourself." Jimmy ordered as he watched as each of his pokemon attempted their respective attack. [OOC - Yeah, sorry this kinda sucks, I'm tired but might be unavailable for a few days, so I wanted to get a post in. @Ashy: If you do see this, don't worry, I don't really want to destroy you, just to battle XD ) |

[Nogou Village] and Bullet Punch [ 100% ]You didn’t give the most detailed of descriptions for Metang, but hell, Bullet Punch was just what you said. You shortened things up the best anyone could, and it was time to put it into gear. Metang folded up, and started on his way! For a target, Metang picked a good sized rock. Although his punch was supposed to be light, his strength was naturally great. Speeding over to it, and sending an arm out, he seemed to have done perfectly… IN ONE ROUND. [ 0% ] and [ 0% ] with ThunderboltEach of these pokemon do not have a base to go off of. Both of them tried to focus, and pretend to know what electric energy felt like. Whether they had been shocked or not, it didn’t seem to be coming to them. It would be best to have an electric type at least shock them to know what it feels. All you got this round was Grimer and Nidorino looking at each other, and trying to focus energy, but getting nothing like sparks. and Water Pulse [ 100% ]This wasn’t going to be hard. Searching for its memories of training before, Tentacool put everything together. At first, his attempt was messy. But he put everything back in order on the next attempt, and got a good Water Pulse. That was easy, indeed. and Power Whip [ 40 / 220% ]Bulbasaur had a very powerful move, and one that would take a longer time then all the others. Starting off, it stretched its vines out. They seem to be controlled by an inner will power, so they stuck up in the air. You mentioned spinning, so the four legged grass type started to run in circles, and soon spun in place. The vines were going like crazy, and gaining speed. But this move was more of extreme and intense power, and just hitting like Vine Whip. Having a base would get you some good points to start off with. You’ll need it, because you have a long way to go. When Bulbasaur stopped, it had gotten to dizzy to stick. However, when it had been spinning, you could tell its strength in the vines were pretty strong—but nowhere near what they needed to be! and Double Team [ 15% ]The newest addition to your team started to immediately do the laps around you as you finished talking. It moved fast, but only moved fast. Every now and then, an after image had been left, but it was blurry and faded so quickly. Edited by Kazuki, Jan 13 2011, 12:07 AM.

[OOC - Yeah I expected as much from Thunderbolt haha, as I said, I was in a rush. We'll scrap that for now. XD] Things had gone pretty disastrous for Grimer and Nidorino, neither of them being able to do...anything basically. Jimmy had already noted this as a possibility, but thought it was worth a try. It was probably pointless trying to tutor any other type moves as well, as without any practise in these arts, they were going to fail time and time again. Nevertheless Jimmy had one more move he wanted them to know. His backup move if they couldn't learn Thunderbolt...a most devastating status attack known as Toxic. Metang had performed as Jimmy expected his prize pokemon. But Metang better not get too confident. Jimmy had expected it to learn quick, as he had another move to follow it up, a much more powerful technique, Earthquake. Bulbasaur had a long way to go, but in the end, this was one of his most powerful techniques...he would need to learn it if he wished to survive the trip they were soon going to make. Scyther needed more practise. If he kept increasing his speed he would be able to notice the illusions. Practise was all that was required. Metang - Earthquake This move may take time, but Metang was naturally powerful, and Jimmy had made sure that Metang knew how to use his power way before it even evolved, just for this type of situation. "Metang, next up your going to learn Earthquake. It may sound tough, but you have just the right attributes to master it quickly. Now, before you evolved I made you master Iron Head. That move needs you to bring forth quite a lot of power, so you should already know how to draw up great amounts of power. With Bullet Punch I wanted to see how quick you could adapt from using strong moves to quick moves, which you perfected instantly. Your naturally a power type of pokemon. This shouldn't be too tough. Use a Magnet Rise to bring yourself as far from the ground as possible. Then focus on all the power you have and the power you need, and slam down on the ground with all the strength you can muster. I want this town to tremble!!" Jimmy ordered. The great thing was, was that Earthquake was an almost uncontrollable force that hit everything. At least Metang wouldn't need to master control of where it went. That was also Earthquake's weakness though. That was all he could do for now, time to move on. Grimer and Nidorino - Toxic This wasn't going to take long. Optimistic obviously, but Grimer knew so many poison type moves that it surely wouldn't be too tricky for him. Maybe Nidorino would have trouble, but it's not like they were going anywhere until every pokemon had finished at least one attack. "Both of you know how to use poison type attacks. Grimer, you know how to use moves like Sludge, Acid Armour and Sludge Bomb. You've mastered some incredibly strong moves. Now all you need to do is summon the pure poison you use to execute those attacks and spew it forth. Nidorino, you only know Poison Sting but again, concentrate on the poison energy you secrete into each pin you fire and allow the poison to flow purely on it's own. That sort of devastation is Toxic!" Jimmy ordered, as he walked past, on his way to Tentacool. Tentacool - Ice Beam Tentacool had finally mastered water abilities. Jimmy wondered if he would be able to freeze said water and fire it in line. "Tentacool, since you can now utilise water, I wonder if you can freeze it. Water freezes once it reaches 0 Degrees Celsius. As a water pokemon on land, you must have to do something to control the temperature of your body. And as a water pokemon who used to live in the sea and lakes, you must have felt those freezing temperatures yourself. Remember how cold and frosty it was, and use that to try and cool the water down enough to freeze it." Jimmy ordered. He felt like he was giving a chemistry lesson or something. Hating himself for it, he moved on to the pokemon that needed the most work. Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur - Power Whip Bulbasaur had shown a lot of control over his vines, know he needed to develop more power to execute them. Jimmy needed a target to help him train. "Bulbasaur, this stupid town is decorated with trees. We'll use them as our target. You have some control, but power is the most dominant force for this type of attack. Gather up some power and swing your vines as powerfully as possible towards the tree. If you can smash through one, your almost there. If you can smash through two or three in one swing, that should be enough power." Jimmy explained. He was lying of course. He didn't know how much power was needed. He didn't care either. He knew it was a lot, and if Bulbasaur knew it needed to try and smash through three trees, it would try even harder. Scyther - Double Team "Scyther, you almost had something of a clone just now. You need an awful amount of speed and willpower in order to achieve this. The main focus for this move is to be able to dodge." Jimmy explained. "Now FOCUS!! Focus on your speed and dash from side to side. That's how the move works" Jimmy continued. He pulled up some data on his poketech to confirm this: "By moving rapidly, the user makes illusory copies of itself to raise its evasiveness." Fantastic, it wasn't just grade A bullshit then. Speed was of the essence, and once Scyther had gathered enough speed, he should be able to focus on the clones. Edited by killaz, Jan 13 2011, 03:49 PM.

[Nogou Village] and Earthquake [ 2% ]Metang was heavy, but he wasn’t heavy enough to crash down and make tons of seismic waves. Using Magnet Rise, getting higher off the ground, he prepared to crash down. But it wouldn’t work so well, as when he did, he simply made a very loud noise. You felt a vibration under your feet, nearly making your big toe numb. He wasn’t going to far already. *Earthquake is a very hard move to tutor. Though, one person is near completing it, I believe. For Metang it’ll be hard. I suggest you go on a plot for the Tm if anything. If you wish to keep trying, that is okay too, but it should take a while. [ 25% ] and [ 20% ] with ToxicWith all the moves Grimer knew, as you listed, Toxic shouldn’t take too long. But the main thing about Toxic is that it is more of a liquid then a blob, like Sludge. Grimer tried finding the poison energy, and it didn’t take long at all. Though, when he tried to only summon the energy and secrete some. He found some liquid drooling from his mouth, but that was about it. He was getting there… in a way. Nidorino was definitely going to have the harder end, but then again he could examine Grimer. Doing so, Nidorino found the liquid that came from Grimer to be a good lesson. Searching within himself, he found a type of energy that wasn’t anything different then what he was—obviously the poison energy. So, trying to secrete it himself, his horn seemed to be sweating, and his mouth tasted awful. He was getting close to the same results as Grimer, just a little less liquid. and Ice Beam [ 15% ]It had been what felt like forever for the jellyfish. Asking for those old memories would be hard, but nearly possible. Closing its eyes, trying very hard, Tentacool faintly remembered. Trying his hardest to remember the full feeling, he seemed to spit water out, trying to make it cold. When he hit your foot, by accident, you found the water to be cold—not freezing. and Power Whip [ 80 / 220% ]You didn’t really tell Bulbasaur much on how to improve, so it went off of just hitting the tree. It started to use the vines as fists; punching the trees and making the bark-covered target into a sparring partner. Though, he was trying to put all he could in there, he finally started getting the power to chip away pieces of bark. and Double Team [ 45% ]This time, Scyther would try from side to side. He used Focus on his speed, making it greater then what it normally is. Just going back and forth so fast, the after image of himself seemed to stay more and more. But it’d be a little before making an actual clone. He’d need to cover a wider area and be able to hold a special power within the clone for it to stay so well. |

Earthquake seemed to be an awfully difficult move to tutor. It had seemed Jimmy had underestimated the move. His plan was to have Metang learn Bullet Punch and Earthquake in order to combine both into Meteor Mash. However it would seem that Metang would have a much easier time learning Meteor Mash than Earthquake, so it was time to move on. The rest of his pokemon had done seemingly well, it was time to continue. Metang ~ Thunder Punch "Metang, forget Earthquake for now. There's not enough time to try and teach it, and I've got better thing's to do. We're going to try one more move before we move on to the final attack. I want you to try and learn Thunderpunch. This should help make water and flying pokemon easier. We will be learning more attacks that aren't of your type in the future but this will be the easiest, know why?" Jimmy asked. He heard Metang's voice in his head replying: "What do you think I am, an idiot, of I know why." How rude, but the answer was pretty obvious. Metang knew both an electrical move (Magnet Rise) and a punch move (Bullet Punch.) If Metang could generate the electrical energy he uses to levitate into his fist, he could deliver the attack. Explaining this he realised there was something he needed to take care of, so allowed Metang to try his attack. Tentacool ~ Ice Beam Jimmy remembered that he had traded away a pokemon for a Snorunt, a silly ice pointy thing. The reason he got it was because it knew Ice Beam. Jimmy typed into his poketech and pulled up the PC which contained Snorunt. It was a pain, but he would have to go retrieve her. Jimmy next recalled Nidorino to his pokeball. He could finish his tutoring later, once Grimer had finished the attack. He next next beckoned his pokemon to follow and walked to the pokemon center, moving up to his PC and depositing Nidorino, and retrieving Snorunt. Jimmy exited hastily and returned to the spot he had been training. With Snorunt now available, Jimmy called him out and explained what needed to be done. "Snorunt, you yourself got tutored Ice Beam by your previous trainer. Since you should have an idea on how the move works and how to learn it, that makes you perfect. Can you start by showing a demonstration of the move, and then explaining to Tentacool how you learnt the move. Tentacool, put what Snorunt says into practise." Jimmy finished. It would be an advantage to have a pokemon knowing Ice Beam to explain how to do it, hopefully this would be a bigger help. Grimer ~ Toxic "Grimer you've done quite well, this move shouldn't take too long. Toxic is something like a Poison Gas, but your firing out a somewhat liquefied Sludge. Remember that and try to fire out the substance. Remember this is a move that poisons, not attacks." Jimmy explained. Trying to liquefy Sludge shouldn't be too hard for a pokemon that has mastered Acid Armour, he should have already had plenty of practise. Bulbasaur ~ Power Whip This move was going quite well, Bulbasaur seemed to reaching some sort of point, maybe almost a third of the way there, which wasn't too bad for two attempts. "Bulbasaur, you've done well. You need to have more strength though. Try and Focus on Attack, as if you were in battle to get a feel for the sort of strength you need. Remember this attack is a whip attack, so like Vine Whip you need to execute a whip like strike, not just pound the tree." Jimmy reminded his pokemon. A whip like strike had a very powerful backlashing effect which was quite painful if hit, if Bulbasaur remembered to whip his vines, he might start to see more of an effect. Scyther ~ Double Team "Scyther, your starting to create the images, that is good, but you need to be able to give them form." Jimmy started. Scyther was his second most important pokemon to tutor. Once this move was learnt, he could evolve. "I'm going to stand here and I want you to rush in a circle around me as quick as possible. Use all the speed you can muster. I want you to focus on the images you can already somewhat create. Focus on them, and keep rushing until they take some sort of shape. Then take a quick break." Jimmy finished. A break would be needed if his Scyther had to keep running so much. Jimmy wasn't going soft, just making sure everything got done in time. [OOC - I know it's weird that I keep jumping from move to move, but I am only tutoring until Bulba and Scyther are finished, the rest are just filler moves haha.] Edited by killaz, Jan 17 2011, 05:57 PM.

[Nogou Village] As the note I left on the request said, the Emergency Override is an item. Since I had edited it some time ago, and I am doing the ref now, there is no time to add in Nidorino’s part to tutoring. Please visit a Pokemon Center to exchange. and Thunder Punch [ 10% ]You didn’t really give Metang any instructions. This, well, is useful for tutoring. Metang, however, had a sense of his own and realized Magnet Rise and Bullet Punch could help, but not even just Bullet Punch but Strike. Trying to focus on Magnet Rise’s potential energy, and trying to force it to his fist, Metang found it much harder then he guessed without a better base. The tiniest sparks faintly circled his (fingers) hand’s tip. [ 50% ] with ToxicTrying to liquefy the sludge that all Grimer’s naturally knew how to do; your Grimer was making some good progress. It was becoming more watery, but still had its chunks. It was actually disgusting. Grimer had it looking as if it was vomiting with chunks. Gross. and Ice Beam [ 25% ](Since Snorunt was unable to come out… I’ll be nice.) Tentacool had nothing more to go forward with, so it started to focus on what it had previously tried. Prior, it had been trying to cool down water. Doing so again, it seemed to be tapping into a new energy, one that helps make water sparkle as if it was becoming ice. Now if it could be told to focus a lot on the pure energy of this new discovery, and dense a beam. and Power Whip [ 110 / 220% ]Bulbasaur focused for several minutes, boosting his attack with an inner focus from a global move known as Focus. Lots of focus, focusing, etcetera. Either way, Bulbasaur found himself stronger, and changed his tactics of straight jabs to a more of a swing with his vines. The whip action was getting there; he had gotten it to swing around. Now maybe the power lies within the gesture of cracking a whip, the short jerk of a person’s wrist.. Bulbasaur sure can do damage with that, maybe? and Double Team [ 60% ]Scyther nodded to you, and started to circle you once more. This time, he tried increasing his speed to the point that it looked like a whirlwind. However, he was able to make it look like two Scythers were circling you, or as if he was in two places. They suddenly stopped, and you found two pokemon. One on each side of you. The one of the left gave out and seemed to disappear after several minutes. Maybe he needs more work on the form, and then moving with the clone. |

[OOC - Sorry Kaz, I really mucked all that up XD. I'll just copy and paste Tentacool's MT last round to this round to try and get everything back on track] Metang ~ Thunderpunch Jimmy had expected more from Metang this round, but for now, at least he could generate some sort of spark. This meant Jimmy had a base to now go on. Thinking how Metang would get the most out of this attempt was frustrating. He needed Metang to concentrate on the sparks he could summon already and build them up... "Metang, you can summon some sort of spark in your hand which is a good start. Now I know this sounds dumb, but I want you to dig deep and find that electrical power that you use in Magnet Rise. Focusing only on that power I want you to make it rise towards just one of your hands. Let a small spark flow and focus on keeping it within your hand area. Then if possible and I want you to stabilise it and allow as much power as you can to flow into your fist. But only if you are able to keep a generated source of electricity." Jimmy ordered, as he decided this was the best he could do for now. Tentacool Ice Beam Jimmy remembered that he had traded away a pokemon for a Snorunt, a silly ice pointy thing. He next beckoned his pokemon to follow and walked to the pokemon center, moving up to his PC and depositing Nidorino, and retrieving Snorunt. Grimer ~ Toxic Grimer was doing somewhat well. It shouldn't take much more. "Grimer you've done well so far, but keep it up. Concentrate. This move is a vile, horrible move that causes pain and suffering to it's target, just like I've taught you to do. Keep liquefying the sludge you release until it's got NO chunks in it. That last dose you cooked up almost me vomit. This is like a double dosage of Poison Gas so you need to input a bit more energy than with that move. Remember, focus on liquefying a Sludge and spraying it out and you'll have this move down." Jimmy explained. Grimer was doing well, Jimmy felt comfortable leaving him to focus on his newest recruits. Bulbasaur ~ Power Whip Although knowing Vine Whip, Jimmy felt it was important to explain what a Whip was all about. Knowing that, Bulbasaur could gage the amount of power he would need. Sitting down, Jimmy began to talk to his pokemon, properly for the first time. With know criticisms or sarcastic comments needed. "You know Bulbasaur it's good to know a whip move, but there are a lot of physics behind it. I was kicked out of school because my scores were too low, but Physics was always something that interested me. I remember my teacher talking to us about whips, and do you know what he said?" Jimmy asked, almost wanting to laugh at the fact he was about to use something he learned from school for the first time ever. Bulbasaur shook his head so Jimmy continued. "He said, a whip cracks because when it is whipped properly, it breaks the sound barrier. Isn't that incredible. Something so small like your vine there can actually break sound. That's the sort of power you need to achieve" Jimmy said encouragingly. It felt weird talking to his pokemon casually, he didn't like it, but he was running out of time on training. He didn't want the sun going down to late before he started moving again. Jimmy wasn't finished with his lecture though. Now he wanted to explain HOW Bulbasaur could achieve this power. "The trick with this, is timing. By swinging your whip forward and then pulling back," Jimmy started, first demonstrating the whip action, throwing his fist forward and then snapping it back last second, "Then the whip, which should be travelling at a very fast motion, is forced to change direction very quickly. Your vine should reverse it's direction so quickly that it can break the sound barrier and THAT is how the crack of the whip is heard." Jimmy finished his lecture, now to actually tell Bulbasaur what to do! "Knowing this, I want you to attempt what I just explained. Time throwing your vine up and then forward. Next, pull the vine back as QUICK as possible. Break the sound barrier and gain much more power in the move!!" Jimmy ordered, fired up. If this lecture brought Bulbasaur any closer to learning the move, then maybe school wasn't such a waste of time. Scyther ~ Double Team Last but not least...Scyther. he could summon a clone, he just needed to keep it. "Alright your getting there...sort of. Now keep it up and re summon that clone doing what you did earlier. This time, when it's summoned, forget about movement and concentrate purely on putting your power into it. You want to allow enough power for you to still move freely, so only a little bit. Enough to at least keep the clone there when it is stationary." Jimmy ordered, as he pulled back to a distance and watched as all his pokemon began their next round of training. [OOC - So I've PC'd Nidorino and brought out Snorunt.] |

Rebuild the World in Ice

Nogou Village Hmm... I'm ganna put this in the order of how far your Pokemon got last time. So, first up, well, I guess that's your sprint the Pokemon Center to make a transaction. Nidorino was put back into his Pokeball and then vanished into the PC, while another Pokeball replaced it, Snorunt's Pokeball. You walked out of the Pokemon Center and back to where you were training and just watched how everyone did, after sending Snorunt out of course. Power Whip Learning Curve: 180/220%First up, Bulbasaur. He's made some pretty great progress so far and just had a few more key parts before he'd be completely done. One of which, was the proper whip action. Well, with your monsterous physics lecture, Bulba should really make some progress. He listened and watched carefully as you explained what to do. He pulled a vine from his bulb and whipped it at the ground, trying to get the perfect snap-back action. Well, there certainly was some, there just needed to be a little bit more and he should be good! Double Team Learning Curve: 76%Well, last time, Scyther was able to make a clone of himself and he just needed to work on that to get the move done. To start off, he made a clone just like he did before, circling you ofr a little bit until the clone appeared. Now, he started to apply a little bit of energy at a time to keep the clone out, making sure that it stayed perfectly still. Well, it was actually working. So far, the clones been out much longer than what it was last round and now Scyther just needed to work on moving it around along with him. Toxic Learning Curve: 84%Eww... pukey toxitity. This has to be by far one of the grosser move tutors I've had to do. But it has to get done and someone has to do it.... ASHY!!!! ...... just kidding. Anyways! Grimer focused on making the sludge more liquidy and tried to get all the little clumps out of it. After a small period of time, he thought the move was liquified enough and projected the concoction out. Well, it certainly was more liquidy and it had that poisoness that it need. Sadly though, there were still a few clumps here and there that needed to be gone. Well, it shouldn't take him much longer to get the move done. Ice Beam Learning Curve: 30%Well, sending out Snorunt, an Ice type, should really help with the learning of this move. Well, it would if they both used the same base move to go by. You see, Snorunt used Powder Snow for her base while Tentacool doesn't have that move. Well, Snorunt still explained how to do it to the best of her ability but Tentacool really wasn't getting it. He wasn't understanding how to make snow or how to make it become pure ice. Well, after Snorunt used the move, he gave it a shot. He fired off a stream of water, which actually had little slivers of ice in it. Well, it was starting to get somewhere. Maybe you should have Snorunt breath on Tentacool so that he can feel what it's like to be ice. That way he'd have a better understanding as to how to make moves colder and all that junk. Thunder Punch Learning Curve: 30%Surprisingly enough, Metang actually knew what you were talking about when you mentioned the sparks and how to tap into that energy. It began to concentrate on the electric energy that it uses to preform Magnet Rise and channeled that same energy into his claw/arm/hand thing. You could see sparks start to form around his right arm. It started to apply more and more electrical energy in to its arm, eventually making a small shell around it. Sadly though, that same energy was lost when he went to move in for a punch. Well, it'll just have to work on that part before it'll be able to get any farther. |

Looks like things had gone somewhat well this time round. Half his team was getting it, the other half were still struggling. Jimmy thought having Snorunt out would have helped a lot more, but it seemed just explaining the move wasn't enough. He would need to have Snorunt show how cold the snow would be, maybe even send some of the ice onto Tentacool, in a attempt for him to understand how the move was supposed to work. Tentacool was going okay, he had some ice there, he just needed to freeze it completely. Easier said than done. Jimmy sighed. He had wanted this to be over by now but he shouldn't complain. He had finished two moves, and after these five he should have a pretty powerful team, ready to take on the world. Once the move training was finished, it was on to the battle training. That's when things would get messy. This world would soon crumble under his might. Metang ~ Thunderpunch Metang could successfully channel the sparks into his fist, but he needed to be able to control it, and keep it stable long enough for a punch to be successful. The only real way to achieve this, was continuation. Jimmy never liked doing the same thing twice, but Metang needed to get used to channelling the energy and keeping it. The more he continued building up the sparks, the longer Metang would be able to hold them. "Alright Metang, keep building the sparks into your hand and focus and see how long you can keep them there. Repeat this until you think you can keep them long enough to focus on another target. I repeat, channel the sparks back into your fist and keep trying to maintain the energy, then see if you can focus on another target without the sparks disappearing." Jimmy ordered... continuousness...hate it. Grimer ~ Toxic Again Jimmy sighed. Grimer had almost perfected this move, he just had to keep liquefying the sludge. He had to do it one more time. Build up the mass he had liquefied, then just allow it to slime up just a little more before spitting it out. So close, and Grimer could begin to battle. "Grimer your almost there. One more attempt and you should have this down. You can liquefy it to almost perfection. Each attempt you get closer and closer. Build up the Sludge you can already liquefy, the wait just a little to longer to allow the last few clumps to dissolve. You got this." Jimmy said. He didn't think he would need much more. It was just a matter of getting rid of the clumps, then this move was done. Tentacool ~ Ice Beam This move should pick up once Tentacool knew what ice was like. That's where Jimmy was going wrong. Ice pokemon and water pokemon are more different than Jimmy realised and it would seem like their base move for learning the attack held significant distances. There was only one thing left to do. "Snorunt, you learnt your Ice Beam through an ice move known as Powder Snow right? Then I need you to use a little of that on Tentacool." Jimmy ordered, as his jellyfish winced. "Why are cowering?" Jimmy asked, annoyed. "Your not seriously thinking this will hurt are you? Once you have felt Powder Snow, you should have an understanding of two things. One, what an Ice Type move feels like, and Two, how cold the attack needs to be. Once this has happened, cool down the water, like I've told you, and fire out an attack. You can already create small pieces of ice when you do this. It shouldn't be long before you can freeze." Jimmy ordered...Tentacool should feel lucky he wasn't ordering Snorunt to fire the Ice Beam at him. Scyther ~ Double Team This was also going well. Scyther seemed to be able to maintain a stationary clone. Careful timing and he could finally finish this one up. "Alright Scyther looks like you almost got it. Now do it again, and create the stationary clone. Looks like you can do this now, input a little extra energy than before, then slowly try and move. Start off slow and build up your speed until you can move at a fast pace with the clone." Jimmy ordered. It wasn't much, but it should be enough. Bulbasaur ~ Power Whip Jimmy had to admit, he was becoming very impressed with this pokemon. It had the hardest move to master, yet it had almost finished, and it looked like he had made the best progress out of all of them, even though he had more than double the work to do. This pokemon was going to be tough. Jimmy just needed to get the will to fight into it so that he could be as ruthless as the rest...except Tentacool, he was still a coward. "Looks like your almost there...incredible. Now you know how to make the noise, but like I said, it's timing. I think you almost had it there with that last crack, you just need a little more. Try focusing a bit more on the power and try again. You just need the timing, but you are so close I know you can do this. Remember, pull the vine back...throw it forward...and the Snap-Back!!" Jimmy explained one more time. There wasn't much he even needed to explain. Bulbasaur just needed to focus and he could do it. Perfect. |

Life is not a fairytale and there are no happy endings.

:: Nogou Village Woah, wow, this was certainly a lot of tutoring going on for one trainer in the space of such a short time. You were certainly working hard, wern't you? Well, the only way to get to the top is to work, work, work! Starting off with your prized Metang, and teaching the steel/psychic type thunderpunch! The floating head with arms didn't previously know any electric type moves, but instead had an inner ability for electro-magnetic capabilities. This, is where Metang was building on the electrical energy for this attack. It began to focus the sparks into it's hands, trying to keep that energy there. The sparks were visible, although not very strong. Yet it seemed your pokemon could keep them there. It swung its arm outwards with a few sparks flying out here and there, but I wouldn't say its anywhere near powerful enough. Still, it knew how it was done. Thunderpunch: Learning curve~ 65%Grimer was getting so so close with its attempt at Toxic! Each try was better than the last and it wasn't very far from perfect. Again, the slimey, ugly, smelly pokemon tried this move again. The poisonous slime forming and becoming liquid enough to be spread like a toxic attack. Ahh, what more do you want me to say? This move was now perfect. Toxic: Learning curve~ 100%Now to another poison type you had. This was with Tentacool and its ever growing attempt at an ice beam! Nice move, very helpfull, very powerful. You ordered Snorunt to help by attacking his partner with a little powder snow. So, he did, he let the powder snow run over Tentacools body, coating him somewhat in what looked like some really bad dandruff. Tentacool shivered slightly, but then tried the attack. And, may I say, you sounded a little harsh on your pokemon. Still, Tentacool tried again. This time instead of a water gun with slathers of ice in it, the whole beam was like a slushy. It was getting there, definately. Ice beam: Learning curve~ 70%Now to Scyther, who was also, like Grimer, very close to perfecting its attempt at a new move. Double team, and again the unique bug type pokemon began to create a clone. The clone started off a little shakey like a really bad tv picture, but adapted into a brilliant clone that not even you could tell the difference from! Double team: Learning curve~ 100%Now for Bulbasaur, who also was very close to perfecting this move, which had come a long way. It pulled its vine into the air and got ready to try again. It listened to your advice first, and then cracked the whip forward, getting the snap back almost, almost right. Well, it was pretty much there. Just, maybe you should test out how powerful it really was? But certainly, not much to go now. The grass type had done excellently. Power whip: Learning curve~ 210/220%

Jimmy reeled back at the progress made this time round. Now this was how it was done. Looks like they were almost complete and he could be on his way. Still, two down, three more left. Bulbasaur was so close it hurt. Maybe it was time for the Tree Test. Metang and Tentacool still had some way, but for now that was fine, as they were attempting completely different moves outside their class type. Metang ~ Thunderpunch "Alright not bad." Jimmy started, as he wondered where to go next from here. "Sparks are flying alright...but now you need to be able to focus them into the punch. It's good that you can stabilise a charge around your hand, but your losing too much power in the swing. This time go for the punch, and charge the electrical power into your fist as your swinging. You'll need quick charge times for the move anyway, so if your already punching, you can focus on gathering electricity...after all, it doesn't take a genius to swing a punch." Jimmy ordered. If he was to progress here, he needed to see if Metang was capable enough. Tentacool ~ Ice Beam Looks like Tentacool was almost there. Slush was better than water. If ice was starting to form, then he had managed to understand how cold he needs to make the water. Now he needed more demonstrations. "Tentacool, line up next to Snorunt and both fire the Ice Beam forward. Notice the look and texture of Snorunt's attack. That's what it needs to look like. Once you've done that, concentrate on cooling the water to absolute 0. Looks like your almost there, just make it a tad colder and we can be done." Jimmy instructed. Hopefully seeing the attack again would allow Tentacool to get one step closer. Bulbasaur ~ Power Whip What else needed to be said. So close to perfection, it was time for the Tree Test. "Remember when I said you should have enough power to tear down a tree?" Jimmy asked Bulbasaur, who nodded enthusiastically. "Well, you know how the attack works. You can crack the whip with almost a perfect amount of power. To fully master the technique, you need to know what your capable of. The tree you whacked earlier...give it another go. Put every ounce of your power into it, and show me your mastery of Power Whip!!" Jimmy exclaimed, as Bulbasaur roared with energy, and prepared for one of his most devastating attacks!! With Grimer and Scyther finished, and the rest so close, Jimmy wondered if it would be worth a quick battle, just to start the battle training. It would be a long journey to Peddleton, and a number of other things were getting in the way. It was starting to seem that Peddleton would be the last place he would ever visit, what with so many distractions interfering with his plans. He first needed to go to Joukai and meet up with this so called "Captoris Corporation" team. He had dumped some pokemon off with them, seeing as how they knew how to get money from them. Seemed like a worthwhile deal right? But Jimmy couldn't be completely sure what this team was like until he met the two Leaders. He wanted to see what they were capable of. Searching around there had to be something that Jimmy could start a fight with. "Grimer, Scyther, search the nearby area, find any wild pokemon, and begin battle." Jimmy ordered. This should prove a nice warm up before the real battles begun. |

[Location -- Nogou Village] First up was once again your Metang, with yet another go at completing the Thunderpunch technique. Depending on the situation, this could help you out quite a good deal in the future with battles, right? Either way, your instructions this time around were for your Metang to gather up the electrical energy at the same time he swinging the punch. So, he attempted just that. He poised his arm back and then went in for the swing. Slow motion time! Towards the middle of the swing, Metang was able to generate a small portion of the energy which manifested themselves as faint yellow sparks. Then, the punch (and the slow motion reference) ended. After the fact, there was still a shimmer of yellow light, as the energy slowly began to fade away. Hrm. Well, that was something at least. From the looks of things, you need to focus more on gathering the right strength of electricity and then instructing him when to release all of that energy upon impact. All the same, working on the quickness of the attack is important too. Thunderpunch Learning Curve_____(75%) So, Tentacool had managed to produce a Slush Beam, instead of an Ice Beam. Well, it was something. However, I think maybe you're taking the wrong approach in terms of how the move is conveyed. Ice Beam isn't a strict frozen water gun attack; it is about releasing the Ice Type energy in a beam, which hits the target and works to generate ice around the target. For now, however, why don't we work towards your instructions? Snorunt and Tentacool stood side by side, both mentally prepping to launch their own version of Ice Beam. In an impressive display of timing, they both fired off an attack at the same time. Snorunt executed the move perfectly, sending a nice, concentrated stream of a luscious blue energy towards a tree; it hit with no problem, encasing the mid-section of the natural guardian in a layer of ice. Tentacool, on the other hand, was unable to do exactly that. However, now he kind of understood how the attack was meant to be. His attempt this round was still a slush beam, but bits of pure energy surrounded parts of the section. It was erratic, but it was there. Hey, if you looked at the tree that he had hit, you might even find that the blue energy caused a small bit of ice to speck around the bark. Try to tap into just that energy, and eliminating everything else. Then, you might find that he'll have the move mastered in no time at all. Ice Beam Learning Curve_____(75%) Man, oh, man. This is a seriously powerful move that you were tutoring to your little Bulbasuar. You both have put a lot of work and effort into this, from the looks of things. So, let's see where you get, yeah? He had almost perfected the timing of when to crack his vine, so it was logical to have him use it once more and at a specific target to test the timing and gauge the actual amount of power that he was able to produce from the attack. Listening to your advice, he did one more attempt just like had done so many times before. This time, however, he had a more natural feel with the attack and he prepped himself; the vine shot forward with an amazing display of speed and a loud crack reverberated through the air as the attack connected with the tree! Watching intently, you could see that the tree was still standing. However, there was a large chunk of the bark and wood missing from where the attack had landed. It wasn't as strong as you said it would be -- which was probably an exaggeration -- but it was still very, very powerful. Guess what? Bulbasaur had mastered it. Go team! Wait, what's this?! Bulbasaur, having been completely exhausted by learning such a powerful move, just kind of collapsed. Oh dear, that must mean that she had expended all of her energy. Power Whip Learning Curve_____(220%) Power Whip mastered! Oh, but you weren't done yet, were you? Despite how low on energy your pokemon were, you still insisted on attempting to find a battle for them? Hrm. Well, whatever. Your Grimer -- who was about to collapse himself -- went out with Scyther and browsed the area. After a little while of searching, they scrambled back to you. With three enemies in tow! How were you going to deal with this now?

Looks like Bulbasaur finished up his move as well. Incredible. He mastered such a powerful move quite quickly...and then he fainted. Jimmy watched as Bulbasaur slumped to the floor, exhausted. Normally this wouldn't have been acceptable, but seeing how quickly he had improved, Jimmy had no problems letting the little guy rest. Metang ~ Thunderpunch Jimmy looked over at the tree that Bulbasaur had smashed. It hadn't fallen...guess Jimmy had overetimated the attack, but it had still made a pretty solid slam. Jimmy wanted to take that tree down, and Metang would be the next to target it. "Metang, seeing as how you have gotten used to building up energy, we need to build up a lot more electrical strength. Focus as much as possible, and build up as much energy as you physically can and place it into your harm. Then aim at that tree and give it your all to take it down!" Jimmy yelled. It was time for Metang to finish this. He might not get it this time, but if he expended a lot of energy, he could at least reach the right level of electrical power. Tentacool ~ Ice Beam Tentacool seemed to have managed to create some ice around the bark. Pointing to it, Jimmy began to instruct Tentacool: "Check it out Tentacool, looks like you made some ice, now focus on the ice you created and tap back into the energy you used last time to make it happen. Build it up and try and cool it so there is no water left. Try and completely eliminate any trace of water and focus only on the ice energy you hit the tree with earlier." Jimmy ordered. Jimmy saw the pokemon he could be facing. Grimer was panting pretty heavily, even for Jimmy, making his pokemon battle whilst they were so tired was harsh. He wasn't prepared for Grimer to experience his first lost, and Scyther wouldn't stand any chance. Jimmy hated what he was about to do, but he pulled out their pokeballs, and returned his two pokemon. "Don't think this'll happen again. I just can't have you fainting right now" Jimmy mentioned, as he placed the pokeballs on his belt and focused more on the training Metang and Tentacool still had to finish. |

Derping... All Day, Every Day!

Nogou Village Your words reached the steel type, but merely as a practice round. What you needed to focus on could be done in this attempt, however Metang himself may not have known what truly needed to be done. Gathering the energy he knows he can, Metang was charging his fist. At the same time, Tentacool seemed to listening intently, and also charging up his move, Ice Beam. Both pokemon put their best efforts into the moves, charging them up to what seemed to be the fullest potential they could maintain. Metang took off for the tree, holding the electricity back. His fist started to glow intensely with the power, until the point of impact where he just couldn't hold it any longer. A lot of sparks flew, and some dust even rose. But in the end, the tree had collapsed and fallen over. It wasn't the best of tree after Bulbasaur's move. With Tentacool using his move on a tree, the beam seemed to collide violently. At the end of it all, Metang had learned a new move and nearly fainted for it. His energy had been so drained, and his fate seemed to be much like the grass type as his body slumped over, but not in a fainted fashion. He held on to consciousness. Tentacool's attempt brought him to the end, as well. The jellyfish pokemon had more energy then the steel type, but it wasn't the greatest gap. Winding down, your tutors thus far were over. Unless you wanted to try more on Scyther or Snorunt. With wild pokemon showing up, it may be best to simply heal everyone before doing more or doing something else.
