Back from the dead

As you stepped onto the streets of Kijutsu, you could feel a fresh breeze lightly wrap around your ankles and cool you. Kijustsu is one of the region's principle cities because of its economic purpose in Alternia. It provides the other towns in the region with technological goods and other modern gadgets and technologies. So basically you made a good choice in selecting your city; lets just try not to get you into any trouble while your here. So now you were in this region with your Pokemon, ready to start a new life of stealing and theft. You'd need time to adapt to the changes of the area but it shouldn't take too long really. People were generally quite slow when it came to noticing people watching them. This would be a piece of cake, maybe you could try to steal some cake too? No, in the industrial town of Kijutsu you should be going for the bigger things! Anyway, there are many things that you can do here. Go to the park, look for a job, you could even look for pokemon that inhabit urban areas. Though, some pokemon like Grimer aren't always nice to have around. However, there are plenty of other things to do as well including finding another pokemon trainer and battling him or her for glory, honor, and the right to rub it in their face if your opponent loses. Remember though, battling is just as much physical as it it mental. Fair warning if you choose the path of the warmongerer. In fact look over there I see a trainer spoiling for a fight, a smug grin on his face tossing a Pokeball in the air and catching it. He was maybe 10 years younger than you but still a battle was a battle. So yes, WELCOME TO ALTERNIA. |

(Before we get completely started, I just wanted to note: I do realize Unown are genderless, and I do not plan on arguing this fact. However, Kent just has a habit of refering to K as a female, so that's how it'll be handled. For me at least, those who Ref me can continue to refer to it as 'it.') Kent strolled the streets of Kijutsu, trying to get a feel for this new land. K was floating right near him. Kent figured K spent a lot of time in her Pokeball previously, so he wanted to give her some free time. Unlike most people, he rather liked this Kijutsu City. It was big, it was crowded and it was nasty...rather a perfect place to be. He's also been keen to notice quite a bit of thievery going on around the whole city. Anyhow, Kent's mind seemed unusually focused on cake...it had been a little while since he last ate, so some cake would sound nice. There was a time he had been offered cake, but it turned out to be a lie to lull him into a trap, but his old Octillery took care of that. 'Ah, my Octillery. I need to somehow get back to Hoenn to get my Pokemon back,' he sighed in displeasure, then turned to K, "But I guess you'll have to do." K chirped happily. Kent turned back ahead of him and saw the trainer tossing his PokeBall in the air. He almost laughed. Tossing it in the air so carelessly! Kent figured he could easily run past him, grabbing as he passed. But, there were too many people out and around...too many witnesses. However, there's still something else... ...young trainers his age don't tend to have very strong or valuable Pokemon, but one can't be sure of that without actually seeing what it contained. Kent considered this. Challenging him to a battle would be the best route. If he wins, using just K, then this kids Pokemon would likely be far too weak to bother with, but it'd mean some easy experience for Unown. And if he lost, well, that'd be rather embarrassing, but it'd mean this kid's Pokemon would be worth stealing. Kent brushed any dirt he may have off his shirt, spun his hat around to the appropriate position, and fixed his psudo-smile on his face. He walked around to where the kid wasn't looking and waited for him to toss it in the air, he caught it and held it there as he did. When the kid noticed the ball hadn't landed, he turned around. Kent dropped it back in his hand before he could react. He leaned in, continuing to smile, "My, you seem rather confident, young man. Care to entertain me with a small battle? Though, you mustn't boast TOO much should you win." He chuckled warmly. K watched silently. |

The kid looked up at you in shock as he realized his Pokeball hadn't landed. When it had landed safely he hugged it quickly to his chest and looked quickly between you and K, obviuosly frightened. He started to relax slightly when he realized you were no immediate threat to him, I mean you seemed friendly enough. The kid thought for a bit, still glancing every now and again at K who was glowing ominously. He seemed to be in a bit of a dilemma about whether to fight or not. By the way he was holding his Pokeball he obviously treasured the Pokemon beyond anything else. "I don't know," the kid finally stammered, "You see, ummmmm, I was only just given this Pokemon by my dad, it's one of his baby Pokemon that he bred and it has only recently hatched." Well this was looking even better for you, this kid's dad must have a lot of Pokemon if he was breeding them, and this kid's Pokemon had only just hatched so should be no problem for you. "He mainly breeds Pokemon for their Egg Moves, for trainers who don't want to do it themselves, this one was a twin and the trainer didn't want two so I got it," the boy continued, indicating the Pokeball he was carrying, "It needs training up so , yeah, I will give you a battle." A steely determination had entered the boys eye as he had talked, he obviously believed his Pokemon could win. He stepped back a couple of paces and threw the Pokeball to the ground. The Pokeball rolled across the ground and popped open releasing a blast of red light. After a couple of seconds the Pokemon finally materialised, it was a Ledyba and it hovered in the air looking unsure about itself. "My Dad says it has a powerful Bug move that it inherited from it's parents, I can't remember which one but it definitely has one of them," the boy told you, with the impression this would make you give up. Anyway, this kid wanted to fight, his Pokemon had a cool Egg Move and his dad ran a breeding center, what more could you want from a target. Well it's your choice... ![]() Level 3 Edited by Matt Prideaux, Feb 8 2009, 10:53 AM.
