Licenses, and their uses Written by and Copyrighted to Faust./Kaail Killstream Licenses are very useful things here in Alternia. Not only can they allow you to do things that other pokemon trainers cannot do, but they can also determine your future job! Depending on the type of license you wish to obtain, the requirements and costs differ. License types, and costs While some licenses cost next to nothing, others can cost a lot of dough. If you plan on purchasing a license, then you'd better spend some time collecting money first! Below is a list of all the types of licenses you can receive, how much they cost, and what they permit you to do! Fishing License ($100)- This license ensures that you will not be arrested or fined while fishing in the various lakes, ponds, seas or oceans in or surrounding Alternia or the various other islands in close vicinity. The license itself was created to stabilize the marine life throughout Althernia, and to reinforce the sound marine environment. You can either purchase this license at a local fishing shop, or at one of Alternia's Licensing shops. Small Daycare License ($500)- This license is for the owner(s) of a small breeding/move tutoring/daycare business. In order to purchase this license, the owner(s) of the small business must own some sort of head quarters, where the business is managed. This can consist of a building, a fenced in (Owned) piece of land, or a dwelling, as long as it follows the 30 by30 feet minimum requirement. The license itself grants the owner(s) of the small business permission to carry and own up to 3 more than the original 6 maximum Pokemon of a registered trainer. Outside of the owner(s) HQ perimeter, however, this license becomes invalid, and arrests can be made if caught with more than the 6 maximum Pokemon of a registered trainer. You can purchase this license at one of Alternia's Licensing shops. Farming License ($250/acre)- Some people in Alternia would like to run a small farm. And in order to do that, they need this license. One may only purchase this license if he or she owns at least one acre of land for every 10 Pokemon on the farm. Also, the Alternian government requires that the owner keep a detailed report of how many Pokemon are present on the farm. As with Breeding Licenses, if one is caught with more than 6 Pokemon outside of the confines of the farm, the license is invalid and arrests will be made if caught. Also, as the owner of this license, one is subject to various fines if their Pokemon break out of the farm and cause damage to the surroundings. One can purchase this license and one of Alternia's Licensing Shops. - - - Licenses are a good way to keep Alternia safe and protected from over capturing of wild pokemon, crime, and various other illegal activities. So, if you plan on taking a different turn from your average, every day trainer, then a license is the thing for you. More are in development at all times, so make sure to check in on this list often! Edited by Blazing Falcon, Apr 21 2009, 09:00 PM.
