Azedenkae was just bizarrely surprised. His tactics had work better than he thought it would. In fact, it had worked perfectly, the third time today. Perhaps, some sort of radiation somewhere had just sipped into his brain and enhanced it or something it would seem. Because now, apparently, it would be all too easy. Ran was stuck to Machop, which meant that chances of attacks hitting it was pretty much at one hundred percent, and the thief was far from being able to issue proper commands, hopefully. It seemed as though Azedenkae only needed to give his own easy orders now. "RAN! Use Blizzard twice on Machop! Try aiming specifically for it's neck to deal as much damage as possible! We're gonna end this fast!" Azedenkae ordered, withdrawing his hand down to his sides, his other hand still holding on to Ran's Pokeball, just in case. He hoped that the old man was still around. By this time he still haven't figured out that he'd get a prize from the old man if he won yet. He simply wanted to talk to the guy and perhaps accept a thanks or something. Though right now Azedenkae simply focused on the battle, not letting any detail, or the persons/Pokemons themselves escape. Edited by Azedenkae, Feb 11 2009, 11:36 AM.

(Yes, my randomizer loved you. ^-^) With the way Ran was stuck, not using her attacks on the Machop's neck was relatively... Well... Impossible, as her blobby body bounced around with the Machop's panicked circle-running. So the blizzards blasted against the machop's neck pretty much stayed there with a direct pair of hits. Parts of the attack flooded around the sides of the machop's neck to pass on to the building as the Machop shivered after the first blast. The second, though it didn't do much more damage, spread further and brought the machop to a chilled pause, his blue skin turning just a bit more blue as the sheet ice under Ran grew up and down his neck, and a little in the direction of either shoulder. Despite the grousing of his trainer, who'd managed to avoid his confusion again, though, by his still-wandering eyes, it was clearly still there, the machop would not make any moves this turn. OOC: I love your randomizer too. BIC: The Machop was frozen, but not as frozen as Azedenkae had hoped it would be, as it could still move around. Of course, what did he expect from a hit to the upper body of Machop? If only the Machop was fully frozen, or frozen enough, he could have gotten Ran to get off and start attacking the non-frozen spots with poison stings and such, hurting Machop until it finally fainted. Then again, what was he to do now? Attacking with more ice won't do much more damage, since the Machop is already frozen... Telling Ran to get off to attack was a risk, as Machop might get far enough away. Or... "Ran, slowly crawl down to Machop's stomach and Constrict it's stomach, before firing a Poison Sting straight into it, aiming for the fleshiest part possible!" Azedenkae ordered, hoping that it was possible. Ran would have to slowly bring it's tentacles down bit by bit until it was attached to the stomach, quite a distance from the neck down for Pokemons like Tentacool. But well, he had trust in her. If this worked, then the Machop would be confused, constricted, partially frozen AND poisoned, enough status effects for him to pretty much garner his victory. Still, he kept an eye on the thief, just in case he decided to run. He probably might as well let the thief run, since there's no other choice. It'd be better for him - he'd get to deal with the Machop, possible add the little guy to his team, if he can't find its original trainer. |

Generally, anything a tentacool did outside the water was slow, but she knew what you meant, slithering down Machop's body. He was terrifically still for half-frozen, and still, no matter what his trainer said, did, or growled, the Machop did not move. Down... Further down, crawled the jellyfish, keeping a firm hold on the Machop and avoiding the ice from her tentacles, she finally encircled his waist, and let loose her tight constrict, feeling for those fleshy areas almost expertly with her undulating tentacles trying ever more to pull tighter around Machop's body. Still slowly, Ran's body rotated until her stingers were over that ideal mass of flesh before skewering the Machop. For whatever reason, perhaps the sudden jolt of poison puncturing his flesh and the violent chemicals sliding through his veins, perhaps something else, the Machop finally force-broke the freezing ice sheet on it's shoulders, still moving slowly, and fell forward, almost atop Ran, unconscious from the strain, although technically not down on HP or Energy. Rán Lv. 8 41/41 64%Machop Lv. 11 17/47 87%{Confused, Constricted, Cold, Unconscious} Ran gained 110 exp! Ran gained a level! Machop gained 40 exp! The other boy growled ferociously, waving his fists, and took off after the others, leaving the man's bag where it'd fallen on the sidewalk, and the machop just the same. Ran stared after the boy, confused as to what he was doing, and slowly slithered over the ground to a small orbule on the ground. She wouldn't get much farther on her own, of course, and she looked as though she might be beginning to dry out, as she pressed the button, the Machop returning to the ball. Sweeeet! Azedenkae raised his hand, as though about to chase after the thief, but thought better of it. In a Pokemon battle, he won. But if he had to deal with the gang in a fist fight, or worse, well... wasn't worth a shot. Besides, everything was left behind by the thief, so it wasn't needed for him to be chased in any case. What was more important right now was Ran, who had on it's own intuition went over to grab Machop's Pokeball and absorbed the fighting Pokemon back to it's home. Ran herself didn't seem too tired, but she was drying up, it seemed. It always happened to Tentacools outside of water. Still in his right hand, the Pokeball opened up as Azedenkae pointed it at Ran, withdrawing the Pokemon into it's home. "You've done well," Azedenkae told it, smiling a full smile. "you've done very well." Tugging the Pokeball back on his belt, Azedenkae went off to pick up Machop's Pokeball and the old man's bag, happy that all thing that started well ended well. Silently, he then whisked off towards the old man, before holding his bag out for him. "Here sir, here's your bag. I hope they didn't hurt you too badly, did they?" He asked caringly, with a smile on his face. Course he was happy. Why shouldn't he be? Every battle Ran won, every additional Pokemon, item, money, whatever he got brought him one step closer to making Ran ever more powerful, his main goal right now. When he returns to Senkra, he won't just have additional information about a region - he'd complete change. OOC: I believe Ran gained a level, and I gained another Pokemon? And possibly another prize from the old man... Edited by Azedenkae, Feb 12 2009, 07:02 AM.

The man smiled, watching the teen leave in his little rush, and held out his hand to congratulate you, recieving instead his purse and staring at it a moment. "Well, thank you, young man." He smiled, rifling through the bag real quick before he settled it on his shoulder again. He straightened up, abandoning use of his cane, and gave a genteel bow. "My name is Durvice. It's nice to meet a new friendly face." He smiled, holding out his hand anew to be shaken. "I'm a member of an undercover unit whose mission is to piece out the good eggs from the bad and get descriptions on the bad ones for the police to look for. I want to thank you for your help, though... Hmm... Ah! I know." The man smiled, rifling through his pockets unexpectedly fast for an old (?) man, finally pulling out a small collaboration of items and tucking them in a little brown paper bag before handing them to you. "Here. It's not much, but I hope it helps... After all, it certainly looks like you have a fondness for water types." He smiled up at you and waited for you to rifle through your new belongings. You obtained Paper Sack of Items! 3 Dive Balls, $100, 2 Potions He still waited though, then snapped to reality. "Oh, right! Now, do you want to keep that Machop or should I turn it in to the police for re-habilitation and re-distribution amongst a newer group of trainers?" He held out his hand quite openly, in the event you would decide to hand him Machop's ball. |

Azedenkae thought, and thought hard. Now that the man had said so, should he keep the Machop? It didn't feel right... after all, he was simply going to use Machop as a leverage to get better items to enhance Tentacool, rather than actually want to salvage it. That'd be too cruel. "I'll... I think I'll hand him to you." Azedenkae said, as he reached out and placed Machop's Pokeball upon the man's hand. "He'll be better of with you. When there are things that needs to be done for it to be right, it must be done, no matter how tempting the alternate path is. "Please take good care of it. I'll be on my way now. Thank you for your gifts, sir." Azedenkae bowed slightly, before turning and heading off. He has now pretty much fully completed all he needed to do here. Instead, he needed to make for Kijutsu City, possible by traversing via the Joukai Path, the path that he shalt descend upon now. He had managed to contact a person who was willing to trade him a TM for his Tentacool, but sadly, he was in a different city. So now, Azedenkae had to travel all the way there. The man smiled, nodding, and took firm hold of the orbule containing the unconscious machop. "Very well. The office thanks you for your assistance." He hummed, tucking the ball away and digging in his wallet a bit more, handing you another 100 coins. He smiled, waving you off, resuming his elderly appearance and continuing on his way. While you headed out of town, though you couldn't see them, you knew you'd passed at least 7 pokemon fumbling about the area. Everything from Grimer to Meowth to Smeargle, and even, perhaps, one Chansey or a Ralts. None went out of their way to make themselves known, though, save the Chansey, wandering among the streets anyways, casting you a wave before continuing on in whatever she was doing. So, another $100 coins richer, you headed out for Kijutsu and Joukai Path to meet up with this person to trade you a TM. |

Settling on the path of Joukai, Azedenkae walked on, not really taking notice of others around. After all, he was on a hurry to get to Kijutsu, before the other trainer moved on first. It would then be pointless, because he'd then either had to catch up again, or give up, and he really wanted that TM - it'll teach his Pokemon Toxic, a rather very useful technique to know. That, alongside with confuse, freezing and pseudo-paralysus would really mess up opponents, no matter how strong. Azedenkae liked that idea. Ran was becoming more and more powerful by the day, Azedenkae could tell. And he liked it. One day, Ran would become truly unbeatable. And though it was a rather egoistical thought, he had beat the crap out of two trainers with in a day, the first rather hard, the second, well, it was extremely great actually. Ran wasn't even hit once, and how she'd screwed Machop up - well, that was awesome. But, he was still a way away to get what he needed. Ran didn't learn the first water move until it was level 19, and 26 for Barrier. Though, of course, he could always teach Ran one - perhaps TM 55, Brine. That'd be awesome. For now, he'd just have to settle for continuing to walk towards Kijutsu. |

As you tried your best at ignoring everyone else who was also walking on the path, many people noticed this and began to suspect that something was up, giving you odd looks. However, you hurried by most of them without even paying any attention to anything that they were saying or doing, and this actually upset a man who was probably around twenty five. Grabbing you by the arm he whirled you around, which caused many others around you to gasp in shock as he began to talk to you in a very low and menacing voice, which was enough to send shivers down every woman's spine. The man stood at about six feet tall and had to weigh around two hundred fifteen pounds in mostly muscle, looking strong enough to be able to snap a tree in half without trying very hard. "Do you think you're too good to socialize with people or something?" he growled. "I think it's pretty damned rude that you're just not looking at anybody. Some people could use a smile and a polite nod you know. Now you can battle with me or meet my fist, which is something I'm actually not used to doing. Trust me, I'm usually a pretty nice guy, but I've already gotten irritated having my Sandshrew get seriously hurt. Now you won't even look at me and smile politely. That's just unacceptable. So a battle it is!" Looks like your attempt at hurrying didn't pay off well for you. Take a look at what he's throwing out there! ![]() Level 11 47/47 100%

Azedenkae turned towards the man, and smiled politely for about 2 seconds, before frowning again. "Oh, I'm sorry. Does your brain have a problem or something? I can get you a place at some psychiatric ward, y'know. It'll do good for you. Hehe." Azedenkae said, sarcastically. "But no, really, what is your problem? I'm in a rush, my grandmother's dying and wants to see her grandson. I'm in a hurry. People are always in a hurry, one time or another." Whilst saying so, Azedenkae had reached his belt with his left hand and plucked Tentacool's Pokeball out, holding it behind his back. Pressing the button, he released her onto his left arm. As with before, Ran clung onto him, ready for him to use her like a firearm. He couldn't wait to try out Ran's new attack, on a human. He had quickly came to a conclusion that there are people who deserves to be attacked by Pokemons - thieves, bullies, the sorts. They didn't die anyways. They're just in extreme pain till the effects run off. "So shoo fly." Of course, despite that, Azedenkae still raised his hands forwards and Ran used Toxic on the man. |

I know you're out there somewhere...

The banter that you decided to give off, as well as your false smiles, only annoyed the man even further, and you could see the blood all but boil inside of him as he began to think up a strategy. Unfortunately for him, you decided to just poison the man, assuming that it won't kill him, except I suppose that you forgot something about Toxic, which I think I should bring up to you now. It's an attack that not only poisons someone, but that poison only becomes worse and worse, it doesn't stay the same or go away, but instead, takes more and more out of a Pokemon. So if that's what it does to a Pokemon, one can assume that that's probably what it does to a human, meaning that you just signed a death sentence for someone, making you nothing more than a cold blooded murderer. However, that's not the only downside to your choice, as once you poisoned the man, and thus made him drop like a fly, you angered that mans' partner Pokemon who had been with him for who knows how long now. So even if it didn't have a trainer to give it instructions, it felt that it had a duty to carry out and defend its master to the end, even if that meant doing things on its own. A Thundershock ripped through the air and struck Ran, who of course was on your arm, meaning that you ended up receiving the electrical shock as well, burning its way through your body. Luckily thundershock is too low of a voltage to actually kill you right away, but it can still harm you and probably seriously fry some nerves within that body of yours. Before you could even try to have Ran counter the attack at all, another Thundershock hit and charged its way through your body, and the faint aroma of a body burning could be smelled, as it was burning your body a bit. People were running about now in horror, not understanding what was going on, except for one or two who saw everything that had happened, and one was on her cell phone, talking to someone emphatically. The other sent out a Growlithe to help the situation, though you're not sure yet as to which side he was on. But the way he ran over and stood next to Magnemite, you could probably assume that it wasn't on yours. ![]() Level 9 21/43 94%----------------------- ![]() Level 11 47/47 92% ![]() Level 8 41/41 100%

"HA!" Azedenkae had laughed, just after the man got toxicked and fell down. He may or may not have started laughing, except that Magnemite sent a shock right through Azedenkae, acting on its own as Ran had acted. Falling down from the first shock, Azedenkae tried to move and recover right away, but was hit by another. Now on the ground, Azedenkae's vision was becoming blurry as well. Light-volted or not, an electric shock was still a shock. Silently, Azedenkae tried to move his whole body, seeing where he could still move and where he couldn't, but found out that he pretty much can only move his hands and fingers. Not knowing what to do next, Azedenkae did what he hoped was the best thing to do in such a situation. He could see someone calling on their phone, and someone else rushing over, but not much more after that. Well, hope they're calling for the police... Yes, it was not the best option, as he just poisoned a man, but at least he'd be taken into custody by authorities, and questioned there. He may not like the authorities, but he was not fearful of them, and whatever happens, they still have laws. But for now, he needed to protect his Pokemon. His hand still held on the Pokeball, which was a good thing. Turning it as best as possible around his hand, Azedenkae managed to press the Pokeball button and withdraw Tentacool, as though that action was the most important thing right now. And then, he grasped on to his Pokeball as hard as possible, before slipping into unconsciousness. |

Once you withdrew your Tentacool, that meant you weren't going to battle. So, the owner of the Growlithe withdrew the little dog Pokemon and ran to your side, making sure you weren't dead. "Oh my, gosh, I'm so sorry, kid..." the person said to you. From the sounds of it, it was a girl. "I didn't think you'd get fried by that Magnemite! Here, let me help..." Next thing you know, you're in a hospital bed with a couple of nurses and doctors leaving the room. Standing at the foot of your bed were a couple of police officers, including the famous Officer Jenny. "Hello, Azendekae." Jenny said to you. "I'm going to ask you some questions and I wan't you to answer them as truthfully as you can, ok?" What are you going to do now? Edited by Blazing Falcon, Mar 2 2009, 12:25 PM.

Azedenkae knew, right away, that he probably was in trouble. He hoped that the man didn't die, wished so actually, because otherwise there was nothing he could say or do that won't conclude in him not going to jail. But, the fact that he was not yet hauled away may prove otherwise, if not because he had fainted and just only regained consciousness. "Alright, mam'." Azedenkae replied, waiting for the streams of questions to come, remembering exactly what happened to give as best of an answer as possible. It was rather hard, seeing how he just woke up from being unconscious and even when waking up normally, memories don't always return right away. Nonetheless, he'd try his best to answer well, and hopefully get out of trouble. The only thing he remembered was that there was a sound of a girl, and then he was there. Before that... he had withdrew Ran into her Pokeball, right after getting shocked because he poisoned the Magnemite's master. Thinking that's pretty much it, Azedenkae stole glances around the room, checking to see if Ran was anywhere near him, or if they kept her away. For now, Azedenkae'll simply have to answer questions.
