Just when you were wondering where you were going, you finally saw the world beyond the portal you walked into. Plains rolled before you, and for the first time in a long time you heard the noises that told you Pokemon were around. Looking around, you saw a lot of other people appearing around you, obviously coming from Tohea as well. Pokemon also kept popping up around you, clearly the ones who have been disappearing from Tohea, meaning that you found the answer. You just found out where these Pokemon were going, although in doing so, you’ve managed to go to the same place. Is that good, or is that bad?

Well that really depends on how you look at it, don’t you think? Either way, I must tell you… WELCOME TO ALTERNIA! You saw a huge sign in the middle of the plains, with Alternia clearly printed upon it, obviously the name of the region you’ve come to. The good news is that you’re safe from whatever was going on in Tohea. However, the bad news is you’ll never be able to return to Tohea, or the world that it was placed upon. Everyone you ever knew before could possibly be trapped in Tohea, meaning that you may never see them again.

You should however consider yourself lucky, for I can tell you that Tohea has been completely destroyed by the beings that were fighting in the sky there. Or it will be if it hasn’t already. But to try to give you some good news, you have plenty of Pokemon around you to battle and possibly capture if you would like to. Or you could try traveling somewhere, as there are two routes leading out of this area, which apparently is named Joukai Pass. Route One is one of the routes, which will lead to Nogou Village, whatever that is. It also can take you to Route Two which will take you to another place called Kijutsu City. Then Route Five, the other route will take you Millenia Town, although there is a warning stating that Pokemon on Route Five are stronger than usual. So what will it be? This Pokemon that wants to battle, or a route right away to find out where the hell you are and how you came to be there?

You've got all the possiblities ruled out here, don't you? That is what every Trainer does, or really should do, think of every action the opponent could take and rule out a nice counter for it. Mizu seemed to been listening to your strategy plan and dove low, but quickly into the air.

The Burmy apparently expected the attack on its weak point, and struggled with its weight but managed to weakly hop a few inches off the ground, suprisingly high for some paper thin wooden legs, but it wasn't near enough to avoid Mizu's raging dive. The Burmy merely had raised itself when the racing blue blur of
Mizu struck it's head into the bottoms of the Burmy's tiny legs. The leaf covered bug came crashing onto the dirt, but it didn't seem to be damaged at all. Mizu had built up enough momentum to keep flying out for a few feet after he had hit the Burmy's legs. The zippy water turtle was too concentrated on the attack rather than what would happen after the attack was finished. Mizu slammed down deep into the dirt and kept sliding until it bumped its head into a convienetly placed stone directly in front of it. Mizu had taken a hard power slide through the rough, rocky dirt, but he wasn't ready to give up yet. Mizu simply brushed the dirt off his stomach and weakly stood up in a fierce battle stance. The Burmy identified Mizu's stance and tightly squeezed its eyelids shut. You have to feel pity for the poor thing, right? It must know that there is no way it can win now, poor thing.

Then you realized that Burmy wasn't whimpering over the impossibility to win this battle, but it was summoning some type of sparkling swirling energy. The swirling energy took the shape of a rectangular shield, and you then realized that Burmy had been building a energy Barrier the whole time with Protect.

The past shapes up, but we shape the future.
Oh, it's a move tutoring post!

Neo winced. He winced hard.

It wasn't the fact that the enemy bug was getting the living life beaten out of him, but the fact that Mizu was actually making contact with that...that wretched creature. It was like some source of evil from above was hoping to put a curse upon the poor little turtle and plague with the possibility of having to make face to face contact with a demon from the deepest reaches of Hades. A shudder slipped through Neo's body at the thought. He's getting a through scrubbing and an exorcist now. He slipped his hands into both of his pants pockets, shrugging at the thought of the bug trying to make contact with him.

Mizu seemed to be well off on his own. He had the potential of a great tactician- the strategy he was using already seemed to be just peachy. One of the only flaws that was present in his method was the know-to when to not throw full force into it. Neo planned on helping his Pokemon be as self-sufficient as he could; Learning the ins and outs of battling could potentially make Mizu one of Neo's deadliest weapons. "The trick is patience, Miz." Neo's words of advice were taken in my Mizu and not slipped out the other ear. He was really considering what his trainer had to offer. Neo's right...although I may have much more brawn than an enemy I have to be able to also top them mentally. The Squirtle's intuition to be better than he is is probably one of his greatest assets; Willing to accept you're not the best is the first step on the bath of becoming The Best.

"So let's do just what you've been doing! Use tackle attack again directly on the bug, and then another shot at Aqua Tail after you've knocked it down!" The trainer's confidence to get this move learned was high, after all he hoped for a while now that his Pokemon would be able to achieve something like this. Mizu was young, yes, but he had a great load of potential to become a powerhouse, and Neo wanted to unlock that potential as soon as he could. The plan was to start off big, and then move down to the smaller stuff. Had Mizu started off with tutoring something like Water Gun and then making his way up the chain with Aqua Jet, Water Pulse, Bubblebeam and then Aqua Tail he would have wasted much time. Time Neo didn't want to waste. He decided that what would be done is an attempt to load his Pokemon up with as much as he could, hoping for it to be a success.

With determination, Mizu began to eye out his opponent. Yes, the Burmy was using a Protect shield to stop harm, but something like that didn't last quite long, and was hard to use multiple times without failing. The Squirtle wasn't one hundred percent it worked like that, but he had a clue that the bug couldn't just hide behind that energy the entire battle. The moment it wore off he was going to charge right in, using Tackle to send it flying. He knew the key to that move- dive in whilst withdrawn in his shell and slam right in to the opponent. Afterwords, however, Neo wanted him to try and finish perfecting that move they had worked on earlier. It wouldn't be easy, but he'd give it a try.

The options flickered through the Squirtle's head. He saw himself tackling Burmy, but then what? Yes, he was going to give a shot at Aqua Tail again, but would it be possibly from his position? Casting the thoughts into his head Mizu saw a possibly gateway for him to execute the attack. As soon as I knock the enemy down I'll try and use the momentum to launch into the air. From there I'm pretty sure I can launch a whirlpool of water out of my tail, just like the pictures Neo showed me had Pokemon doing. Neo knew that his Pokemon was finding its way to try and execute his orders exactly to his whim, which gave him the feeling that he was raising determined and wise partners here. Mizu at least.

Trading Time!

..Come to think of it, the others (sans Magnex) not so much. Phin was utterly useless. One time had Neo brought it into battle, which he literally had to punt the fish into the enemy to make it useful. Any other time it just sat there, breathing. "Karp, karp." After awhile Neo got very, very annoyed with the thing, and decided it was time to rid of it. He tried multiple times to market the useless carp to people in the streets of Tohea, but no one seemed interested. Not even fishermen who pulled up their own Magikarp which they kept. Ever since Neo won the Pokemon he just didn't want it.

Which brings nostalgic events to the surface of his mind on just how he had received the Magikarp after all.

It had been a warm summer day on the beach of Tohea City, and Neo and Talael had just finished some move tutoring. The ruffin had been working hard trying to use his immense strength of his pincers as actual attacking moves, and was succeeding pretty well. He just about mastered two moves without even much effort, which was something Neo looked highly on. He loved when members of his team were filled with accomplishment and prowess over their natural abilities. The idea of Talael getting a grip on two moves within ten minutes of cracking a rock apart was quite fitting under the trainer's checklist of reasons to like one of his Pokemon.

While he was tutoring, though, a curious fisherman decided to challenge him to a battle. Neo was pumped, and by all means wanted to fight another trainer in hopes of redemption after his first battle which ended up ending in a Stunky whipping out Magnex in one hit. Accepting the fisherman's offer Neo hadn't a clue what was in for him. The little trainer confidently sent out his magnet partner, hoping it would be able to defeat any fish the opponent had. Little did he know that the opponent had a Chinchou and that Chinchou have the ability to absorb electric type attacks, which was Magnex's specialty. With a lot of charging up the enemy at the start of the battle, Neo quickly learned a lesson on Pokemon battling- take into consideration your opponent's abilities while fighting.

With some quick thinking, though, Neo was able to help Magnex to victory. The end result of the battle was Neo obtaining Phin. When he first saw the Magikarp he had remembered it from the books he once studied. Stories of these Pokemon hopping over waterfalls and turning into twenty feet long serpents that could ravage a city and cause tornadoes and rip apart damns to flood cities all before bedtime. Boy, was Neo wrong. He decided to keep the Pokemon a bit, but that was before he found how useless it was. Ever since that day he's honestly wanted to get rid of it.

And now that day has come. Neo had put the fish on Wifi trade back in Tohea, but somehow the data from the network on his Poketech was still in touch here, and another trainer by the name of James Striker seemed to want to trade for it. Quickly Neo accepted his offer of three hundred dollars, bolting the Pokemon over. Sucker, the trainer thought to himself as he uploaded Magikarp to James' PC box. Not only was Neo three hundred Poke richer, but he was also rid of that horrid fish that had annoyed him for so long. The trainer made sure to stick a note on the trade that said: No Refunds.

While he was getting back to focusing on the battle, Neo also got lucky. He noticed a random Pokeball on the ground, which he quickly swiped up and added to his current collection of six. "Awesomeness!"

Miz stared and watched his opponent as you went off and checked your Poketech for a possible trade for your useless Magikarp. Finding a taker you quickly traded the fish off and cursed the fisherman that gave it to you. Well now that your team was cleansed of its fail and you managed to sucker some poor sap out of their hard earned items, you went back to the battle at hand.

Miz was still studying his opponent looking for an opening. The Burmy also waited for Squirtle to make its move. All it had were the cheap shielding attack and poor physical attacks. Miz finally made the first move, making a mad dash for his opponent. As soon as Squirtle moved, Burmy threw up his unbreakable barrier. The Protect attack looked much weaker this time around and as soon as Squirtle withdrew for the launch of his Tackle attack he soon found out how weak it was.

As soon as Squirtle came into contact with the shield, he expected to meet a lot of resistance, if not being thrown back by it. He felt nothing as he slipped through the weakened barrier, only heard the faint sound similar to glass shattering. The barrier still managed to throw off Miz's aim a bit, but not nearly enough. Landing right in front of the enemy, Miz redirected the force of his Tackle and shot the Burmy straight up. Without pausing for a break Squirtle dropped to all fours and moved his tail over his shell.

Water soon formed around the tail but it didn't leave the tail like last time. Burmy was quickly falling, but Miz didn't know what to do. He thought the attack was supposed to release from his tail, but this time he couldn't release the Aqua Tail's Water from his tail. As the Burmy dropped lower to the Squirtle, he decided to just smack him with his water enhanced tail. As soon as Burmy came within range, Squirtle flicked his tail and made a hit square in the Burmy's side. Instead of being flung as one would expect, Burmy was slammed into the ground by the Squirtle's attack and Miz quickly got up and took a defensive stance.

Meanwhile, a young woman had just left one of the routes that lead into Joukai Pass. By her side was a single Pokémon that actually could be mistaken for a child. The Tyrogue looked up at Alice and pointed to the battle down below. He tugged eagerly at her clothes. Seems he wanted to join the action, but that choice belonged to you miss Alice. You could intervene in the battle and allow your Tyrogue to steal some much coveted experience or you could sit back and watch younger Neo continue his battle alone and introduce yourself later. Neo, you finally taught your Pokémon the attack you wanted, its too bad you'll have to work with it a bit more to perfect the contest version.

((OOC: My posts are so much worse! D=))

Alicia stared down at the battle taking place below her. Sure, Rogue might WANT to join in, but would that be such a good idea? People tended to dislike interferences on their fight, right? Yeah. She was pretty sure most people did. Right, in that case she would simply go around.

But then she saw the trainer. He looked dreadfully young to be out here among all the wild Pokémon. But what if he knew what he was doing? Alicia sure didn't. She had never really been in very many Pokémon battles. She was a beginner at this kind of thing at best. Still, What if he was just a beginner as well? What if he really didn't know very much about what he was doing? It would be kind of like murder if he lost and got stranded here without a single Pokémon while she just went around this boy without giving him a second thought.

Carefully the young woman made her decision. She would go down to the fight, but wouldn't allow Rogue to get involved unless the boy's Pokémon fainted. Yes... yes that should be fine. People may mind random Pokémon butting in on their battles, but did they mind an audience? Surely not! So there. It was settled.

Alicia made a small shushing motion towards Rogue, being confident that he would grasp that the meaning of this motion, possibly among other things, was that he wasn't supposed rush in and attack. Then she made her way down, trying to reach the battle below as quickly as possible. She realized too late that there was, in fact, room for error in her motion. The Tyrogue might think she wanted him to be stealthy, in order to better surprise attack the foe with a tackle.

Darn. She was horrible at this Pokémon stuff...

After the tedious amount of teaching Neo had given Mizu in order for him to learn Aqua Tail had paid off, the young trainer was more than amazed by his Pokemon. Neo was proud of himself, tutoring his partner a powerful move like that despite it being so young. He ran his hand through his head while his eyes were closed in sort of a smug posture trying to tell the world that he is awesome. Mizu, however, really didn't learn too much from his human trainer. It was more like the Pokemon had taught himself the move with slight guidance from his trainer, but trying to tell a hot head like Neo that might end up not working out as planned. Either way, Mizu had finally mastered that tenacious move Neo hoped he would have gotten down in seconds.

The human trainer decided he wanted to finish this battle quick, especially since he was making battle with one of those gross bug types. "Baby Mizu, you've got the perfect attack down! Let's beat this chump, Tackle!" The Squirtle heard his trainer's commands, nodding his head. What he also heard, however, was someone making their way toward himself and his trainer and his battle. The little turtle jolted around to see a female human and her humanoid Pokemon making their way toward Mizu. Immediately he did not approve, but when the female had stopped her little Tyrogue from entering battle he cared a bit less. The Squirtle point his head down, with a smirk. He was getting ready to use Tackle as planned, but it probably wouldn't be that easy. He had to consider the Protect which the Burmy could use. If it came down to that, of course, Mizu would probably just reuse Tackle attack one more time to try and knock the bug down for good.

"Mizu-Chan, if you can't get in an attack because the bug uses that gaudy barrier attack just wait it off and hit one final time with Strike using your tail! I know, it's not glamorous, but still."
Yes, Mizu had already planned for that, but his trainer's commands reassured him an alternative strategy, which was always good to have. "Squirtle!" Mizu's closing words promoted his Tackle, which was aimed directly at the Burmy.

Neo, who wasn't exactly focused on the battle, looked up toward the hill his Squirtle had been distracted by. He too saw the female trainer along with her Pokemon, which was very interesting to the young kid. He was enlighted by the idea of another watching his awesome battling skills. "Make this count, Mizy! We have a crowd." Neo's face turned into a blushing smile as he tried to take a cool pose. The ladies love an awesome battler!

Life is not a fairytale and there are no happy endings.
Luckily, for both of you. The younge Tyrogue knew exactly what Alicia's motion meant. Yet the humanoid pokemon did not look best satisifed taking an audience view of a battle. Who knew though? Maybe he could get a battle with the winner of this one, that was up to you two.

Squirtle began to charge towards the now, very weak Burmy. The water pokemon didnt go as fast as usual, as he was waiting to see if that barrier would go up or not. Burmy tried to focus its energy once more and the energy was shown visible forming infront of it. It didn't last long however, the energy broke as the protect failed and the Burmy paniced, now waiting for turtle-impact! Squirtle seen protect wasn't going to work and quickly stepped up its speed, charging and tackeling straight into the small pokemon, rendering it out of the battle.

Squirtle stood up proud and turned to you hopping up and down in victory. Congratulations! You have knocked out a pretty useless pokemon! Were you going to catch it, or leave it there. Meh, who cares its useless anyway. Now I guess it was time for Neo to meet Alicia. Im not one to put words in other peoples mouths but, could sparks fly here? Who knew. In my opinion i prefer batteling over love, and would love to see you two take on each other. But, like I said - I'm not putting words in your mouth.

Not much more for me to do here, its down to you two.

Squirtle has gained 10 :exp .
Squirtle grew to level 10!
Squirtle has fully learned Aqua tail!

The past shapes up, but we shape the future.
Patience is a virtue every good battler should have; Both trainer and Pokemon alike need to possess this trait to be superior, not to mention it helps a lot in real-life situations at all. Neo, being the human in command of Mizu didn't quite show this trait of his much, but it was there. Somewhere. The virtue isn't one that comes naturally, and anyone who has it more than likely has worked toward being able to control themselves, and to have the knowledge of when it is the correct time to take their plan into action. Mizu the Squirtle was one who was training himself to understand this value. It's hard to learn something that significant without a mentor, but the little Squirtle proved he was doing quite well on his own.

In the moment of attack Mizu was able to slow himself down, and predict when it was the correct time to strike. He knew of the enemy's defense, and he knew that it would more than likely execute the shield at some point to stop the Squirtle from defeating it. Using what he knew Mizu was able to overcome in the enemy and time his attack just right so that he could defeat the pathetic excuse of a challenge nature had given him. Neo was impressed by his parent's judgment, and would surely reward him in due time. The reward he had earned already, however, was the fact that the Squirtle had gained a level, which makes him one step closer to becoming the ideal Pokemon he longed to be. Wartorle was so close the Squirtle could feel it coming at any second.

After the Burmy had taken its final meaningless breath it passed out on the ground where it would make an easy target for capturing, but this is not what Neo intended to do. A highly noted fact is that the trainer hates bugs, and it seems that no one on the market of what would perhaps be profitable was looking for one at the moment. He shook his head at even the thought of perhaps keeping it for a rainy day- the thing couldn't be more lucrative than a dead hooker after all. He giggled to himself, relocating a red and white Poke Ball he had almost thought about tossing to capture the defeated squirmy sack with. Neo didn't stoop down to that level, not in this lifetime at least.

To show his dominance, Mizu slapped his tail into the air, whirling it around a bit to the point it released a whirlpool of Aqua Tail. It was small, but that's what Mizu intended. After all, he had mastered the move with help from his trainer, and now all that was left to do was to finding suitable combination to use with the powerful water type attack. Mizu dreamed of being a powerful Wortortle one day, but Neo had other plans. He saw the creature as cute -and- powerful, which was something that he could possibly execute in the contest rink. Mizu didn't like the idea of this because the Squirtle didn't even know what a contest was- yet. Perhaps sometime down the road Neo will be able to expose his little Squirtle to the event first witnessed back in New Jypsum as a boy, to help the creature better understand what it was Neo had proposed.

The blond haired boy trainer had his PokeTech device opened, and was scrolling along the features while Mizu was at his feet, napping. It wasn't too long after the battle, but the little Squirtle was exhausted. He needed the rest, and was going to take any second of it he could get. "Return, Mizu. You did a great job, but I want you to be able to sleep somewhere where you'll be safe!" The trainer clicked open a Poke Ball, red light slapping onto the Squirtle before dissolving into thin air. Neo clicked the sphere down to its storing size and placed it on the shoulder strap of his backpack. He kicked himself up off the rock, still focused on the PokeTech, and began to make his way up the path.

This is when he noticed he had a visitor in the area. At first sight he what he took in was a simpleton; Another generic person out and about on their every day life. But after the boy had taken some time to analyze her he saw more than that. Her sapphire eyes seemed to have something about them that showed a future of the two, perhaps a marvelous misadventure through the world together. Perhaps it was that well established ebony pony tail that caught his eye- after all, hair color quite often doesn't show up as pure as that. Or maybe it was the fact that she too, like Neo, was a Pokemon trainer. What he saw when he looked at her was no other than a baby Pokemon, which was rearing to get into a battle of some sort. Neo figured they must have been there long enough to at least catch the final moments of Mizu versus Burmy, but he wanted to assume the two never participated in a battle of their own before, and wanted to invite the girl into his life, perhaps even end up offering her an experience of battle.

"Hi, I'm Venus Tohea, but most people just call me by my pseudonym, Neo. Actually, I've never even told anyone my real name, because its way to girly for me to even consider my own. I mean, what were my parents thinking naming me after a goddess. No matter, however, you can call me whatever- Neo, Venus, annoying. Any suitable name will do. Anyways, what's your name? I'd like for us to be friends, and not battle like most trainers do when they meet eyes. I'm heading for whatever town is closest with a gym? Got a clue, because I don't, and I need someone to help. I really don't like waiting. Oh, it should also be mentioned I'm suppose to be in Tohea, but for whatever reason here I am! Well, I mean this place kinda looks like Tohea, but it's not. At least I don't think? The last thing I remember is my Pokemon were battling with a Bidoof and a Feebas, both of which I wanted to catch by the way, and then an Abra appeared out of no where! Man, I thought I could catch that puppy and raise it as my own, but for whatever reason it brought me here. Wherever here is, that is."

Neo took a deep breath. A very deep breath. His face had turned blue from talking so much, but he wanted to explain himself as quickly as possible, and for this girl to rely answers to him as quick as possible. What it all came down to, though, was the kid trying to make some friends. Since Tohea he hadn't met anyone his age, or even anyone who took the time to bother with him aside from that one fisherman, but that fisherman hadn't even asked his name. Neo was afraid this girl might reject him and he would have to make bad things happen, seeing as he let her know his real name, a name of a young boy who was reported missing on more than three continents, but he trusted her. Why? One couldn't tell, but for whatever reason he did. Hopefully she was accepting, because that would be nice.

Alicia watched with polite interest as the boy tended to his tired Pokémon. She considered saying something, but it would be rude to interrupt.

Alicia had never been quite this far out before and wasn't fully sure where she was, any trainer with a little experience behind them should be at least be able to tell her where the newest town was, right? Maybe if she just followed him and tried to stay out of the way... then again, he did look awfully young. Did he know where he was going? Well, he seemed to know what he was doing during the last few minutes of the Pokémon battle, but did that mean anything?

Suddenly Alicia realized that while she was busy thinking the boy had started to walk off. Alicia quickly decided that she would follow him. She hastily checked to make sure that Rogue was still beside her, and then started walking forwards. She didn't get more than a step in before the kid turned and, startling her slightly in the process, started talking rather quickly. As he quickly stated and asked several things Alicia simply looked at him blankly. The female trainer continued this look for a minute or two after the kid had finished his... er... speech. Alicia found it necessary to mentally repeat and sort out everything the quick talker had just said. After she had done this, her blank look was replaced with a smile.

“Hello, uh... Neo.” She said pleasantly, though mentally she was immensely disappointed by the fact that the boy apparently had no more idea of where to go then she did. “I'm Alicia, I'd tell you my last name, but I doubt you'd be able to pronounce it.” She said, trying to talk as quickly as the boy had, just in the mild interest of seeing if she could. It wasn't easy. “I'm afraid I don't know where the closest Gym holding town is. I'm more or less lost.” Well, that wasn't EXACTLY a lie. She could probably find her way back home, but why would she want to go back there? “And I don't mind not battling. All that would be likely to happen is Rogue getting knocked out cold and me being left here without a Pokémon. I've never actually battled before anyway, I'm not even sure that I technically qualify as a trainer.” She finished her statement before taking a deep breath of her own. Rogue didn't look too happy about the lack of confidence in his abilities, but he'd probably get over it.

Suddenly Alicia realized something. This boys last name was “Tohea.” and he was from some place called Tohea. The heck?

Adventuring! we will go...

Having no kept no secrets from girl he literally just met, Neo would have quite an adventure ahead of him to earn the trust of Alicia. It wasn't that he feared she didn't trust him, but it was the fact that he couldn't find it inside himself to trust her. After all, Neo had left his home in Aphotic to start a life on his own at the age of seven, which is really something outstanding for an adult let alone a seven year old boy. His reasons for going to Tohea in the first place were all his own, but a few events that could be named to take some merit in the conquest. Above all Neo saw the Lord as his guide, and decided it was then or never he would take his life into his own hands. The sign he had received was a letter from his grandfather, whom was a native of Tohea City. The man had wrote to the boy, sending a airline ticket along with a lone Poke Ball that had contained the Magnemite the trainer had to this day. What was written in the letter where instructions to the boy, telling him how to come to Tohea and what would lye in store for him there. Once he was there, however, Neo had given up on the mission his grandfather had asked him to partake in.

The past isn't something to live by, and this is why Neo felt it was appropriate to take part in his life in Alternia. He had been brought here by force, so perhaps his grandfather was here too. Neo's goal now wasn't going to be to find his grandfather whom may or may not be in this land, but instead rise himself to greatness to let the man know he had taken to heart his wish. The closing line in Neo's letter from his grandfather was a request asking him to do what Neo hadn't and become a master of Pokemon trade, conquering all aspects of being a Pokemon expert- battles, contest, breeding, tutoring, whatever it he felt he could possibly do to make himself known. Neo's passion, though, was being a questing to become a name that could be known throughout all of Tohea...er...Alternia, one who was responsible for perhaps creating the next big thing to help trainers. Those goals of both sides would have to wait, however, for Neo's current life was leading him on a path fate could only unfold.

"Hm..well, fallow me then! Route One is right up ahead, we can head there!" Neo's finger was pointed in the direction toward what probably wasn't the path he wanted to go on. He smirked, turning toward Alicia. "Uh...yeah, about being lost. I'm totally not, because you see, this here Pokermatech has a built in map!" The blond trainer clicked onto his device, selecting the map feature. "Alright, here we go. Route One, let me set a GPS and..." The trainer pushed a few buttons, selecting the quickest route to Nogou Village. "Here's where we'll go, then." Neo began to walk toward the direction his PokeTech pointed him, which was opposite of the way he initially pointed.

"So, why do you feel like you're not worthy of being a trainer? It's nothing hard, I mean I'm seven and can pull it off. An old lady like you- what, fifteen, sixteen? I'm sure it would be a cakewalk!"
Neo's young. He's naive. He doesn't have boundaries when it comes to saying what's on his mind, which is something little kids just have about them. As he walked, hoping Alicia would follow, he placed his hands in his shorts pockets. It was a nice day for adventuring, after all.

Life is not a fairytale and there are no happy endings.
Well well well, Awwh. Wasn't this a cute site to see? A young kid and a teenage girl traveling together, and it was seemingly the young kid who was leading them both to wherever they were going using his poketech. I must say for a little boy you most certainly are clever, using big words and guiding yourself and others around is something 20-year old women cant do. So now both of you were following Neo's poketech. Which, by the way. Dont you find it funny how when people are following maps its asif they're being pulled around by a magnetic force? They hold the map out infront of them and follow it asif its dragging them.

So you now both set off towards route one. Which ironicly was the complete oposite way Neo initially thought. Alicia didn't have much choice to reply an answer before Neo had set off, meaning the teenager had no option other than to follow. As she did, Neo began to ask more questions, and although he didnt know it; he was throwing around an insult or two. "An old lady like you- what, fifteen, sixteen?" Ooooh, ouch. A little advice kid, take it from me. No girl, no matter how old or young likes to be called old, mature would of been a better word to say. However, I'm sure Alicia didn't mind, she had taken into account how young you were and most kids your age throw around words they dont realise they are saying.

So you now had both began to walk down route 1. As you strolled down the seemingly straight path, you continually walked in and out of different area's. The path one moment was covered in tree's and woodland, the next it was out in an open field. Needless to say the area around here was pretty rural, and some of the scenes were beautiful. I dont know about you two, but I love places like this, quiet, away from the buzzing life of a town or city, and filled with wildlife and natural beauty. This beauty was best shown by the flocks of Starly you seen flying over head, and the occasional twitter of a pokemon cry. As you both thought about how beautiful the place was, you were stopped by a confusing sight. At first it just looked like some plants, but as you got closer you could tell that whatever theese were, were very much alive.. Well, they were just alive. Theese pokemon as you now seen, were pretty battered and bruised and desperately in need of some help..

You now both realised what they were, and as you darted up quickly to help, you noticed one was unconcious, the other was awake yet pretty much unable to move. What are you going to do?

The past shapes up, but we shape the future.
Both trainers walked along the path, making idle chitchat not important enough to be noted in this post. Neo was confident in his adventuring skills enough to let is arm down as he followed the trail they walked on, Alicia most likely in tow. He was making everything a little too dramatic, though. Heaving loudly when he had to bush a branch off of the road or when he had to jump over a pot hole he really didn't have to. Little kids do that, though. Genius or not Neo's still a boy at heart, and still as the mentality just like any other nine year old kid would have.

After a bit of walking the kid grew tired; The entire events of the day were starting to get to him. Flashing back on this day alone Neo really had accomplished a lot. Like, a lot a lot. First off he was beamed here from Tohea randomly, made battle with a Burmy and utterly kicked its butt along with learning a useful new move, and had made a friend! In Neo's book he was doing pretty darn well.

Despite the urge to rest, Neo's little legs kept on moving him toward his goal: the nearest town with a gym he could trade in. Maybe this nice Alicia lady would reward him for leading her to safety, no? In all honesty, though, Neo wasn't after that. What he wanted was a friend like he had back at home. The boy stopped mid-step, thinking back to the time when he first discovered Pokemon with his good friend.

The two had been walking along, well, actually, running along the path towards the land unexplored and uncharted by anyone in Aphotic. They wanted to be great, known for something like finding a mysterious new something in their home country. All that they found was an angry Weedle, but ever since that time Neo just had an urge to go out to places he probably shouldn't be and just find out what's going on there. For fun's sake.

For the next mile or so everything went down just normal. Pokemon squawked and fiddled around at every turn, but Neo hadn't any reason to stop for any of them. He didn't really feel like taking the time to wait, after all. When he made his way to the site of the Oddish, however, the young boy stopped dead in his tracks, holding out one arm to stop Alicia as well. "Woah, stop right there and look!" The first thing Neo noticed, which he had pointed at, was the Bellsprout hardly clinging to life as it waddled along. Seconds after he discovered this Pokemon he caught sight of the purple little unconscious bulb on the ground, which drove him to tears.

"NO, PRECIOUS LITTLE PURPLE POKEMON!"
Neo lunged to the ground, wrapping up the Oddish in his arms and soaking it in three inches of tear water every second he held it. The trainer pushed the Pokemon up against his face, nuzzling it hard enough to do damage. He held it out from his face, crying even harder. "I can't! I can't let something so precious as you be hurt!" The trainer dropped down to one knee, lightly placing the Oddish on the ground. Without warning he quickly jolted his arms into the air, eyes focused on the Oddish. "EVERYONE CLEAR, I'M GOING TO USE THE HEALING TOUCH!" With a rather loud warning, Neo's right hand descended to the Oddish's side, wrapping it up while his left hand repeatedly traced what seemed to be the outline of a star on the Oddish. "Wait..."

Neo calmly placed Oddish back onto the ground, beginning to sob a little less. All of a sudden his eyes shut off like a faucet being turned and his thinking face came on as if it was on a switch and someone just flicked it. "What in the world are two beat up grass types doing just lying here? Neo will find whomever has done this and take revenge on those heartless monsters! Right after he helps this precious little purplet find its way back to life!" Neo's eyes turned to Alicia, who was presumably doing nothing but standing in confusion from the boy's antics. "Well, I guess you can help that ugly-looking fly trap thing. It's ugly anyways." Neo's attention turned back to the Oddish. He quickly grabbed the Pokemon up, nuzzling it again. "Don't worry, Popurri1! Neo's here to protect you!"

Once again Neo turned to Alicia, urging her to do something again. "We have to get these two to a Pokemon Center, this can't wait! I'm pretty sure the next town's got to be around here somewhere, if we run we could be there in no time." This time Neo didn't make a decision for himself. Instead, he waited on Alicia's response. How kind of him.

1Popurri is the purpose mispelling of Potpourri, which will be the name Neo hereon referees to the Oddish by. Yes, he does have intent on capturing it but not until he can get it safe and healed.

Alicia hadn't really said much of any severe importance. She was occupied with being as friendly as she could manage, though at some points she stuck to being quiet because, well, Neo was a little boy. There were certain things the two couldn't see eye to eye on and Alicia didn't want a dispute. Thankfully the small talk was still rather enjoyable and Alicia found herself laughing happily at Neo's overexagerated adventuring performances.

The enjoyment quickly came to an end as Neo pointed out the injured Pokémon. Alicia was slightly shocked by the sight, but, being the oldest, she quickly decided that she would have to take responsibility and move the two Pokémon to one of those strange hospital things so many towns had. Alicia quickly moved forwards, but stopped abruptly as Neo ran and grabbed the Oddish. She blinked with alarm as the boy began crying and squeezing the Pokémon in a way that looked rather uncomfortable. She thought about trying to separate the two, but decided against it and instead went to the aid of the more flowery Pokémon. A quick examination showed that it was still alive, but paralyzed or something. Great.

Alicia turned to look towards Neo with one eyebrow raised as he began trying to use the “healing touch” Double You Tee Eff. Seriously.

“Uh... Thanks.” She muttered quietly as the boy informed her that she could have the “ugly-looking flytrap thing”. It WAS rather ugly, but a living creature none the less. It needed help. She would provide that help.

“Right.” She nodded before carefully but firmly picking up the plant Pokémon. She was holding it kinda like a baby. How embarrassing.

Ah well, who cared how an “Old Woman” carried an injured Pokémon? Alicia chuckled quietly at her own joke. The 18 year old had never actually told the boy her actual age. If he thought that she was fifteen, then let him. She'd take it as a complement.

Alicia waited for Neo to take off, She was pretty confident that she could follow him, even at a running pace. Still...

“Don't go too fast. You can fit into areas an old woman like me can't.” She informed him before carefully adjusting the way the flower Pokémon sat in her arms. “Let's go.”

King Empoleon the Great!
I guess the adventuring can wait till later, right? You guys got two pokemon in need of intensive care, and only one person was qualified for that job. Can you guess who I'm talking about? Nurse Joy? No way! It's Dougie Howzer!..... wait.... sorry, I'm watching T.V. right now, scratch that. It is Nurse Joy, and the two of you must get them to her at all costs.

The dark colored pokemon laid motionless in Neo's arms. Not a single sound heard, or movement spotted off of this Oddish. If only you could go into the little ones mind and see what she saw before fainting. Who could have done such a thing to two helpless pokemon? I mean an Oddish and Bellsprout duo couldn't pose much of a threat to anybody, so why would a trainer go all out like this on them?

Bellsprout shivered slightly from time to time, nestling closer as Alicia cradled him. The plant pokemon feeling a slight comfort with the female trainer as she tried carefully not to drop him. It had a high fever, that bellsprout, and was warming up faster than your legs hit the rocky pathway. Medical attention was needed fast.

In about fifteen minutes, you guys saw the clearing to Route 1, signaling the entrance to the city! Great! Just a few more minutes and these guys would be safe in the cares of Nurse Joy and her partner Chansey. All things seemed perfect... until three figures dropped down about ten feet in front of you two from a nearby branch.

They wore clothes that the two of you might not comprehend, but it was the uniform of a group of Pokemon poachers called Team Maroon. Ironically enough, their uniforms did consist of mostly maroon and black. They looked like a drama club bunch, wearing long sleeve jackets with crazy designs up and down the arms length. The pants weren't similar, as one wore a skirt, another long pants and the third had on shorts.

"Where do you guys think your heading off to with our catch?" Came the girl standing between the two males.

"Hand them over you little brats before we have to spank ya." The man to the right was pretty macho, standing 5'11" and muscular. He probably could bench press the two of you with ease.

The third guy just stood there with not much to ride on from his expression. He seemed emotionless and really couldn't care less what you guys chose to do, whether or not he even noticed the two of you there. But despite that, the three were obviously on something evil here, and they were planning on snatching the two passengers you two were towing. Would you give them off just like that? I wouldn't fault you for it, but I wont guarantee their safety.

The past shapes up, but we shape the future.
Each step produce a bond for Neo and the much injured Oddish. Despite it being unconscious from whomever/whatever caused the poor creature so much pain she more than likely still could feel the warmth and sincerity of Neo's beating heart up against her small body. He was the type of trainer who was passionate about Pokemon he really liked, and for some reason this simple Oddish hit that soft spot in his heart. Neo would now protect this innocent Pokemon with his life, giving his all to secure her safety.

They had only been together for a little while now, but it seemed like another growing relationship was sprouting as well, this time being Neo and his human companion, Alicia. It wasn't every day that a grown lady would even spend her time around Neo, but for reasons untold this one decided to stick around. Although he didn't know her all that great yet Neo felt he had known her his entire life already--all nine long and awesome years. Which are full of accomplishment.

As always, however, there's always a sudden stab to a happy, fun day. This knife was those three bandits that hopped out of the trees, yelling and shouting whatever their words were at the young trainer and his companion. Neo's head did a complete three-sixty upon seeing these maroon-suited evildoers. "Hey, imbeciles, if you wanted the Pokemon so bad why not just catch them there on the spot rather then letting them be hurt like that!"

In one hand Neo held Oddish close to his heart while the other held a red and white sphere. For emphasis, Neo had one finger pointed toward the three. This was all deja vu to him. Back just a few weeks when Neo had captured Mizu it was the same thing- someone trying to steal the precious little gift right out of his hands. Last time it was only one trainer, of course, but this time Neo had a friend with a Pokemon to help him fight these three off. And yes, Neo planned on fighting them, even if they did have powerful Pokemon. It was probably premature, but he loved little Popurri with every once of his huge kid heart.

With a clicking sound and flash of light Neo's first Pokemon, the majestic Magnemite Magnex hovered a foot in front of its trainer. Magnex didn't quite have a clue what was going on around here, but it could feel something was troubling Neo, which was something it would never let slide. "Magnemite." Neo smiled at his Pokemon, while the grunts across the way from him were probably laughing at its size. "Don't doubt my Magnex one bit. Magnex, let's go!" The magnetic Pokemon quickly spun horizontally, making a blur of colors stream through the air.

Neo's lips crinkled to a smile. He held Popurri with one hand, the other hand still gripping the Poke Ball with a finger extended. "These Pokemon are ours now, scum, and you won't change that! We treat Pokemon they should be cared for, and will do that til the end! Magnex, use Metal Sound, Thundershock and then Thunder Wave, no holding back, target all three of them at once." Neo's plan here was to harm the people directly; seeing what they've done to these innocent little Pokemon was more than enough motivation for him to do so. Hopefully Alicia wouldn't disagree with the boy's racy actions, but she most likely felt the same way about these grass types.

There was no doubting Magnex here. No, it hadn't ever attacked humans before, but what's the difference from attacking Pokemon? No, they're not the same genetically but the two do have something in common: the fact that pain fricken hurts. Electrical pain probably hurts ten times more. If the people could make some quick talk and try and prove they're innocent and good Neo wouldn't hold back. He didn't have any qualms with hurting these people, besides, they talked mean to him. In honesty the third guy who was all sue didn't seem to do anything. Yet. Neo wasn't taking chances.

"Alicia, just stand back for now and defend that little fly trap. If they send out Pokemon we'll just overwhelm them; I have confidence in you."While Neo was talking Magnex emitted a harsh noise right toward the maroon troops, more than likely making them deaf for a bit. After that move was executed, the Magnemite began to execute his orders. Let's see them bully their way out of this one.
