Now to continue your move teaching. This time I'm a bit too lazy to come in with a really long and non-important entry post that people tend to only read cause it's there. Is that why you are reading this one? Hm... I should test this theory. If you read this only because it was here, type only one word in your post in the color gold. Alright, yeah, sweetness :D Love you!

And now, on with the ref!

Now that you were in an even wider, more open space to train you instructed your pokemon to continue their move training. The instructions you gave all three were relatively simple, and actually it was pretty much the same for them all if you looked in to it. Store up energy, start of weak, build on strong. Those were the three steps involving in your training,

So quickly your three pokemon got into a semi-straight line beside one another. It was actually kind of funny, because Swablu flew about between your other two pokemon watching carefully what they did, while Cthooloo towered over Slugma, who was literally in Cthooloo's shadow. Anyone around you probably would've been a bit frightened of your Cthooloo's amazing size, but your pokemon seemed to be used to 'im already.

Anywho, Cthooloo and Slugma started things off soon enough as they released thin bursts of water/fire respectively. Swablu watched, examining the ammount of energy each sent off at first, trying to form just as much energy in her beak so she could try it later. Gradually, all three of your pokemon added more and more energy to their attacks; Slugma and Cthooloo thickened their attacks with power and Swablu just continued to add more energy to her attack.

Eventually, Cthooloo and Slugma were out of breath and had to stop using their attacks for a moment which gave Swablu the time to attempt Mirror Move. With a loud calling of her name, Artemis released her energy outward as it took the appearance of what looked to be Hydropump, striking the ground ahead of her hard and brushing away the grass and dirt from the spot it hit. Of course, there was no elemental affinity to this attack as it was pure energy, but the force in the attack seemed about right.

All three of your pokemon tried again, and this time Cthooloo and Slugma were able to start off with their attacks at their strongest. Swablu this time watched Slugma, analyzing the energy and force behind Flamethrower. And again, Artemis stored up the appropriate ammount of energy and released it like a tendril of doom, and as the energy spread through the terrain, burning away at the areas it touched, you were almost 100% sure that the attack was successfully learned. However, Swablu looked tired, hell, she was exhausted, maybe it was time for a rest?

:slugma [Magna] Flamethrower 100% learned
:cthooloo [Loo] Hydro Pump 100% learned
:swablu [Artemis] Mirror Move 100% learned

{After Tourney Post}

Yuki wandered his way away from the hustle and bustle that was the Tournament Location. There were more people in that small space then Yuki felt comfortable being around. Before he even left the locker area provided for trainers, he made sure he placed everything except his Egg into his backpack and held on to both his Egg and his Backpack as tightly as he could. Last thing he needed after a fast loss was a thief to take his things.

His Pokemon were a little more disheartened about his loss than he was. He knew he was going into the Tournament half-cocked but his Pokemon fought as hard as they could and they still lost. Only Loo felt it was the trainer's fault and started to cause trouble after Yuki decided to take the rest of the day off to rest himself. Loo was quite a character at times and it seemed Yuki has his work cut out for him getting the behemoth to listen to his orders once more.

The plus side to Yuki's trip was that he managed to gain some valuable experience and knew more about his Pokemon's limitations than he did when he started. That and the carnival like games were fun to play after he lost. He even managed to win a Super Rod from one of the vendors. All Yuki would have to do now is find a nice little pond to start fishing.

With all this said and done, Yuki carried all his belongings on him and made his way out of the tournament site. Back at square one of his journey. Looks like this time he'd have to walk to Nogou. At least this time he'd be able to get the training his Pokemon deserved and maybe he can work on Loo's loyalty issues.

{I already owned the Super Rod, I'm just justifying my IC reason for getting it.}

So, you are a little disheartened? Bah, cheer up. This is the Pokémon world. You can lose a major battle one moment and then experience a major excitment the next. the only question to wonder is what to throw in your way to cheer you up. what little yellow ball of fluff can be tossed in your way to get you into a better state? I think you know what is coming next.

It is growing late as you trek through the forest toward the farm town of nogou. Your last bite was the morsel of snackage you had at the carnival, but that was hours ago. Not to mention the carnival is miles away in the other direction, and probably closing down by now. So no food for you. But relax, you are in a forest. There is all sorts of berry goodness all around you. You could have a feast on Nanab, pecha,... and moving oran berries???? you grow suspicious till the little bit of blue is mixed with a little bit of yellow

"PIPIPI pika pika"

Just your luck. you have ran into a little pikachu. and this one is holding an oran berry in its little paws. the two of you stare down... it starts to move toward you. What are it's intentions? does it want to shock you famously, or just give you a token berry. these questions and more can be found out in the next chapter of the chronicles of snow.

Yuki watched as the terrain he traveled slowly started to change. The wider open spaces were soon filled with trees as he started to enter a small forest like area in the Joukai pass. This sort of change in environment happened when Yuki first met Sora. He only hoped that he wouldn't have to go through another nightmare like that again, not that it wasn’t worth it.

As he traveled alone, Yuki's mind wandered off back to the Tournament location and he started to think about the food that the had there. He wondered what they'd be serving right now if he were still there. His last meal was a small snack before leaving that morning. Luckily his Pokemon were well fed while under the tournament Staff's care. They weren't going to feel the pang of hunger that Yuki was starting to feel as he thought of food.

Making an attempt to start at the sky through the thick brush overhead, Yuki decided that it was still too early to stop and eat, but this would be the last time he skipped on breakfast to see carnival like attractions again. Luckily he was in the woods where berries grew naturally and he just so happened to come across a few bushes. The Nanab looked best to eat seeing as they were only used for Poffin ingredients. The other two, the Pecha and Oran would come in handy if his Pokemon were to become hurt.

Yuki made his way to pick some of the berries off when he noticed movement in the Oran bush. A Pikachu with an odd indent in its tail emerged and just stared at Yuki. Yuki himself was a little take back by the encounter. Luckily Pikachu weren't high on Yuki's priority list. He could let the Pokemon slide away and not have to battle it, but Wild Pokemon were very finicky. Yuki's mind raced as he tried to think of something to do before the Pikachu decided he was a threat and attacked him.

"Pikachu are Electric types so half my team is a no go. I can't use Magna. He may burn the berry bushes down by accident. That only leaves Umbros and Jester. Jester has immunity to the Pikachu's electric attacks, but the Physical ones will be a pain to deal with. Umbros is the exact opposite in this situation. Maybe I can use them both and pray that their combined effort will be enough to beat this Pikachu."

Slowly Yuki retrieved Umbros and Jester's Pokeballs from his pack and released both of them. The two simply stared at the Wild Pikachu. It wasn't attacking them so they didn't know why they were called out.

"Guys stay on alert. I'm going to make a move towards the Berry bushes to pick some for us. If that Pikachu attacks me I need you guys to defend me. Umbros you only attack if the Pikachu makes the first move. If it is Physical I need you to use Howl and then Tackle it. Jester if Pikachu uses Thundershock or another electric attack, you'll have to use Quick Attack and intercept the attack. Buy me some time to collect a few berries and then we can focus on attacking the Pikachu better. Also Focus on Speed as well Jester. It may help your timing. You are immune to Electric attacks so Pikachu can't hurt you with them, but if Pikachu tried to attack you physically you have to try and dodge the attacks. Same goes for you Umbros if the Pikachu attacks you with electric attacks."

Both the Pokemon nodded and carefully watch the Pikachu while Yuki crept his way to the bushes. Hopefully they could buy him the time he needed to get a bunch of berries.

What!?!? Are you nervous about some little old pikachu? If you have to send two Pokemon out just to defend yourself. Well I guess after loosing in a tournament those things can happen. However, I guess you can never be too careful. The pikachu was cheerful. But lets see the impact of your moves.

Pikachu looks oddly at the two Pokemon you have sent out. Judging by the twitching of its head it probably had heard you stomach's grumbling. It just wanted to give you a little treat. It tried to talk its way around the situation, but your Pokemon are only "following orders" every time pikachu moves, your Pokemon stand at attention.

"pi? Pikapika?"

The pikachu then turned and tried to move around as quickly as it could, throwing the berry towards your feet at a range equivalent to a three point shot. This pokemon's happiness would not be stopped. After watching the berry land, it sat down and gave you a happy look

"Pi-ka-chu?"

So, you are once again faced with the option of what to do. This pikachu seems very kind; surely it would make a good addition to your team. But no one can really tell. The only one who can tell is the one that writes this story. So have at it, and write something good

You obtained:

  • Pecha berries x5
  • Nanab berries x5
  • Oran berries x6

Yuki finished picking some berries off of the bush, managing to get about fifteen berries total, that was until the Pikachu threw the other Oran Berry towards him. Yuki didn't know what was wrong with the Pikachu. It was so tame and well behaved. He started to wonder if it were actually another trainer's Pokemon, but that would be hard to believe this far away from the city. Most Pokemon he had encountered so far had always been out for blood. Yuki didn't know how to react to the way the Pikachu was acting.

Yuki's Poketech started to beep and by know he already knew what it was. His Poketech had recieved an offer to enter into the Lottery yet again. With a sigh Yuki selected 25 random numbers and sent them in as five seperate tickets. Now maybe he'd get some peace as he tried to figure out what to do with the Pikachu.

"Guys. Team meeting real quick." Yuki called his two Pokemon while keeping his eye on the Pikachu. Last thing he wanted was for it to run away or call for some friends and jump him in the forest. "I'm not used to Pokemon acting like this. Not wild ones at least. Do you guys want to just challenge it?" Umbros nodded vigorously while Jester looked back to the Pikachu and gave something that looked like a shrug. "Ok we'll challenge it then."

Yuki waited for both Umbros and Jester turned around to face the Pikachu again. Its Happy go lucky attitude was very cute, but Yuki wondered how it managed to survive this long being as nice as it is. "Ok Pikachu, my team would like to challenge you to a Battle." Yuki would normally wait for the Pikachu to respond, but with Jester out the Pikachu couldn't escape until Jester was recalled. It probably knew this as well. Yuki didn't know how Wild Pokemon thought, but he wasn't easily trusting.

"Ok Umbros, Jester. Same as last time, dodge what you can't take and intercept what you can. Jester will be our lightning rod and Umbros is our shield from physical attacks. Umbros stick to the Howl and Tackle plan. Jester you'll also stick with the Focus and Quick Attack. We'll Focus on your attack this time though. Try to hit it from the same side, we can't allow it to make you guys attack each other."

Yuki wasn't leaving the Pikachu much room for a no. This is just the only way he knows how to capture Pokemon. He's never had to befriend a Pokemon into his team and he felt weird not earning the capture, he just hoped that the Pikachu understood his feeling on the matter. He'd have to apologize some time later. After they finished the battle win or lose.

Well what do we have here? It seems that we have a two against one battle ready to commence. So far it seems that you have been dealing with a friendly, caring, and giving Pikachu that you wanted to catch. However it seems as though you were faced with a problem, the only way you could catch it was to battle it. The little Pikachu had not a fighting spirit in its small body and cocked its head to watch you in glee as you performed your tasks. "Pikachu! Pika! Pi." Pikachu cried out taking a few more steps closer to you, it seemed as if the Pokemon wanted to observe you a bit more but wasn't aware of what you had planned for it.

The small electric rodent cocked its head as you and your team challenged it to a battle. The Pokemon didn't feel all that comfortable around you anymore as it was able to understand you by your tone and movements. The Pokemon did not want to battle, not at all, but for some strange reason the small mouse found fleeing not an option. He rested quietly on the ground, it didn't seem to want to give you anymore berries but at the same time she still didn't seem hostile towards you. The ears of the yellow mouse twitched as you gave commands to your Poochyena and your Trapinch and its ears twitched again, the small mouse was heartbroken that you wanted to battle.

The Pikachu now finally understood your intent to battle and since she couldn't flee and back down she had no choice to result to 'self defense.' the electric rodent sprung up into the air surprisingly high. "Pika!" she shouted, her voice of friendliness was now a voice of anger and determination. Apparently the mood of happiness had faded from the Pokemon, perhaps you made your challenge too early? Maybe you should have gave the befriend tactic its first try because now you were up against a mad mouse. The cheeks of the now battle ready Pikachu sparked and blasted a Thundershock down towards your two Pokemon who instantly began to carry out their orders in the event of the attack.

Your Trapinch knew what to do, as the Pikachu cast the Thundershock the Trapinch used Quick Attack. The Pokemon intercepted the blow from the electric based attack, adsorbing the the attack for your team. Then the small ground-type glided towards Pikachu, finishing its attack off and colliding with it. The battle had now fully begun and things were now going good and the attack seemed to have done a hard hit to the Pikachu. The electric rodent was now lying on the ground, trying to get back up. Quickly your Poochyena then executed his part of the plan, using Howl to increase his attack and then following up with a Tackle which prevented the Pikachu from getting up. The Pikachu was now sent flying through the air, hitting the ground with a thud. The Pokemon then leaped up, tears forming in her eyes, now her feelings were slightly hurt. On the bright side however you had the upper hand in the battle despite emotionally and physically harming the once friendly Pikachu.

Yuki wasn't sure what he was watching. The Pikachu looked as if she were confused, then went into a betrayed look and finally into a PMS look. Yuki honestly would never understand the Wild Pokémon in this region. They were either blood thirsty demons or moody chits on periods. Of course the Pikachu wanted to befriend Yuki, but given his past encounters with wilds he didn't know what the Pikachu had planned so all he could do was take the offensive.

Once Umbros and Jester took their spots back by Yuki's side both looked up and looked as confused as he was. They didn't know why the Pikachu was acting this way either. Umbros was raised by a past owner to attack relentlessly and Jester was still a baby who thought this was just some innocent fun, but both sympathized with the Pikachu once it started to cry.

Yuki reached back into his bag and retrieved one of the Oran Berries he had picked, and tossed it to the Pikachu. "I guess you wanted to use that as a friendly courtesy. I'm sorry; I didn't know you didn't like fighting. Its sadly all I've come across since I came here so I didn't know what to do. Now that you know my intentions I don't plan on changing my mind. You are quite strong and I don't think living in the wild would suit your gentle nature, especially if you have to face what I've faced. I'll let you heal up and we'll start this fight off fair. No surprise attacks from me. I'll add you to my team for protection, but I can only accept you if you fight back." Yuki tried to make his somewhat harsh tone a bit more delicate. "Now stop your crying. We'll fight fair and let you make the first move."

Yuki and his two Pokémon backed up a bit. They needed to give the Pikachu room, but still keep an eye on her. "Umbros as soon as she attacks dodge to the right. Jester you head to the left. Both of you Focus on your Defense. You'll attack first Umbros. Get the Pikachu's attention by Tackling her and try to dodge any attack she may throw at you. Jester while her attention is on Umbros get in close and use Bite." Both Pokémon nodded and took their ready stance. They just needed the Pikachu to move.

"Pi!" The tone of Pikachu's voice was still in its 'PMS' state. It was amazing how this once extremely friendly pokemon snapped how it did. Well the Pikachu was a girl after all. Actually, you know what is even funnier than the pokemons mood swings? Think about it. Yuki was the one that offered the battle, so it was basically all his fault. So hopefully he wins this battle because if not, that would be one hell of a funny story to tell people. Hilarious, right? Good luck getting a date then. Anyway enough of making fun of Yuki's possible future, lets get back to the situation.

Pikachu stook out its left arm in an attempt to pick up the berry Yuki had just chucked at it. She slowly bent down, reaching while still managing to keep her eyes on him and his pokemon. Umbros, Yuki, Jester, Yuki, Umbros, ect. Pikachu's head moved from each figure to the other in about 3 seconds intervals. As Pikachu's hand grasped onto the berry, a small devilish smirk appeared on her face. It seemed that just like Yuki, she had a plan. She elevated the berry up to her mouth to take a bite and just then, launched the berry toward Yuki and his Pokemon. "Pi!" the mouse shrieked. A small yellow bolt followed the berry and headed straight for Yuki, Jester, and Umbros. Umbros like directed dodged to the right. Jester tried to follow orders and go to the left, but the attack came so fast for the not-so-fast pokemon, and struck him right on the back!

"Pi, Pi, Pi, Piii!" The Pikachu began to chuckle as smoke flew up off of the back of Trapinch. "Piii..?" Pikachu questioned as her tone once again shifted. See this little pokemon might be smart in the way of planning and there was no doubt that she was a fighter in her own little way, but the friendly attitude she so often had didn’t make her very battle-smart. This also was her very first Trainer battle despite being at level 8. She didn't know that ground-type pokemon were effected by lightning moves.

As directed, Yuki's pokemon went on the offensive. Umbros was first of his pokemon to attack. He raced toward Pikachu with nothing but determination in his eyes. The pokemon let out a bark and with that crashed into the stomach of Pikachu sending the poor mouse crashing to the dirt. "Piiikka," Pikachu said making her way back to her feet. Umbros had already retreated back beside Yuki.

Umbros however, was now the least of Pikachu's worries while as soon as she made it onto both her feet, was met on the tail by Trapinch's large teeth with a Bite attack. Pikachu let out another shriek, this time ear bleeding and began whipping her tail around and around trying to get Trapinch off. Trapinch on the other hand was locked in and wasn’t about to give in. He began to smile, as he thought it was funny. Pikachu not being able to use thunder attacks on Trapinch had no choice but endure the pain. Pikachu's eyes turned to large globes as she began to flash Yuki the 'puppy-dog' face. She was really in some pain. What was Yuki going to do now?

When Yuki saw the Thundershock heading for him and his team, his first and pretty much his only reaction was to try and duck. Of course he would flinch, only a moron would take an electric attack head on without worry of the consequences. Luckily the attack failed as it hit the one member of the team that was immune to the effects of the attack.

Yuki managed to recover his senses just as Umbros started attacking the Pikachu. From her attitude earlier, Yuki wasn't expecting the sneak attack. It was apparent that she did not like Yuki anymore, but that was better for Yuki as now he had no reason to hold his attacks back. He was going easy for the Pikachu's sake, but now that she has shown him a more mischievous side as well as shown him she wasn't going down easily, Yuki was getting more into the battle.

Yuki retrieved the discarded Oran Berry and placed it back with the others. No sense in letting a perfectly good Berry go to waste. He adjusted his arms a bit trying to get the egg that he had been carrying into a more comfortable position. It’s been a day since he received this egg, and like with Jester's he didn't know when it was laid. He just hoped that it would hatch soon. A baby Bagon on his team would defiantly brighten his travels.

Yuki watched as the battle proceeded to the end with Jester latching on to the tail of the Pikachu. This was somewhat an advantage to his team. With Jester on the tail, the Pikachu couldn't easily use its electric attacks as Jester would increase the pressure when the Pikachu tried to attack. Yuki just needed to think of something to do from this point. A few quick attacks should be able to finish off the Pikachu if Yuki can get the combinations right.

"Jester Focus on your Strength to increase your attack and toss the Pikachu. Use a side throw instead of an over head throw to build momentum. Umbros once he releases, use two more howls and Attack the Pikachu with Tackle. Jester once Umbros finishes use Quick Attack to close the gap between you and the Pikachu and then Strike it using the momentum of the Quick Attack."

Yuki pulled an empty Pokeball from his backpack. As soon as his Pokemon knocked the pikachu out, he'd throw the Pokeball for the catch. He still felt that she wouldn't last long if a more serious trainer came along. She was quite lucky that her opponent was Yuki and not someone else. Though he was a bit abusive and out of character this battle, he was mainly worried about this Pikachu. He'd find it a good home with a trainer that would take care of it. He definatly didn't want a repeat of the Scyther incedent to haunt him more than it already does.

Battle Plans set, all that was left was to watch and protect himself if something went wrong.

The past shapes up, but we shape the future.
The aforementioned egg that Yuki held seemed to be teeming with life- although it had been a day since he received it the egg was laid well over a week ago, and surly was close to hatching. Every now and then it would rock back and forth with bursts of energy, and even faint kicks could be felt shaking the egg from the inside. Whatever was inside this egg- be it a Bagon or some other pokemon, was sure as heck frisky. The constant thrashing from inside the egg was actually a bit alarming. If it could do this much inside the egg imagine what it would be like outside of the egg.

It was time for this Pikachu to get what she had coming. Jester was already latched around her tail, making it near impossible for the Pokemon to move, but she still seemed furious as ever and ready to launch misguided electric attacks right toward the Pokemons' she was battling human trainer. It wasn't uncommon for Pokemon to target humans that invade their territory, but usually when the trainer throws out one of their Pokemon to fight the wild Pokemon decides to battle with them rather than still going after the human. Pikachu didn't play by these rules, apparently. She seemed to want to just shock the life out of Yuki, which wasn't to reassuring seeing as the rat could easily put out ten-thousand volts- more than enough to make Yuki's hair do a little more than stand up.

Good thing for Umbros and Jester, though. They were acting as Yuki's body guards for this battle, determined to keep their human out of harm's way in the form of Thundershocks. Jester had apprehended the enemy by grabbing onto her flimsy tail, but that didn't even seem to phase her- just yet. Umbros scowled at the rat in anger while he readied to use Tackle attack on it. Both of the howls directly pierced the enemy, making her a bit uneasy while boosting his own confidence a fair amount. Jester's Focus had gone through perfectly and he figured he had just the right amount of strength to pull off what Yuki ordered. Jerking his head, Jester attempted to swing Pikachu flying through the air and make the wild Pokemon a target for Umbros' attack.

...Well, that didn't go quite as planned. When Jester had swung his head to the side, Pikachu hardly even moved. The young Pokemon just didn't seem capable of being able to fling the Pikachu as Yuki intended. Unfortunately it was too late when Umbros realized this, causing him to lunge into the air despite Pikachu not being their. Needless to say Umbros' attack missed, but also predictably enough Pikachu shot out a Thundershock attack right at the hound, dealing damage right in his weak spot. Umbros staggered to get off his feet once he hit the ground, and Jester was overcome with a feeling a failure so big he didn't even want to think about moving.

But now was not the time to give up.

Jester remembered that Yuki wished for him to execute his inherited move, which the Trapinch was more than sure he knew exactly how to do. The larval Pokemon began to move his little legs as fast as they would go before he hopped into the air right after Pikachu who had already began to approach Umbros. "Your trainer! It's the heretic here! An anti-Arceus! Join up with me to defeat him!" But her pleas were too late. Jester smashed head onto into the Pikachu with Quick Attack, and then kicked her right in the head with Strike for an extra measure just to make sure she was down and out. Face down the Pikachu muttered out her last words before Yuki seized the moment, tossing a Poke Ball at her. "YOU'LL ALL RUE THE DAY WHEN THAT MAN RULES THE WO-" Inevitably the ball absorbed up the mouse, shakeing three times before clicking shut right after the third shake. Before Yuki could even retrieve the sphere, however, it was turned to a blotch of white energy and transmitted to his storage system which is accessible through PCs everywhere.

While the trainer had thrown the sphere he set the Pokemon egg he was holding down, which began to shimmer in an amazing show of light. Cracks and holes formed all around the egg, and within a few seconds that seemed to take forever the egg turned completely into blue energy which took the shape of a reptilian creature. Bagon hatched from the egg! Now that Yuki had taken out the Pikachu that was troubling him and had a new born Bagon on his side it was time his adventure picked up!

So many things were happening at once Yuki was barely able to follow. Jester wasn't able to do the orders exactly as Yuki had them planned, but that was the fault of Yuki for not taking weight into the count. Umbros couldn't perform at his best for the exact reasons. Overall both Jester and Umbros made a good team, but Yuki needed to make mental notes to keep track of physical limits of his Pokemon so he didn't let his Pokemon down in the future.

With the Pikachu safely stored in his PC box in the nearest Pokemon Center, Yuki felt a little more at ease. He'd try and find the Pikachu a decent owner in the future and allow her to roam a bit outside if he had the time in between his own personal training schedule. Now the Bagon he just acquired was a different story. As soon as he touches her with his Pokeball She'll also be whisked away from him. Before he could allow that he had to talk to her and possibly make her recognize his scent.

"Hey there little girl." Yuki bent near the hyperactive Bagon as she bounced in place. She stared up at her trainer with a wild grin on her face and before Yuki could react she tackled him with a full forced impromptu tackle. The surprise attack knocked Yuki off balance and he fell backwards holding onto the Bagon so as not to hurt her on the fall. As soon as the two landed she licked him without remorse. Yuki knew Jester was playful, but this new baby took the word to a whole new level. "Okay, okay stop." Yuki laughed as Umbros and Jester came a bit closer. Umbros helped Yuki get the Bagon off of him as he tried to pull another Pokeball from his pack.

"Listen carefully Bagon. I'm going to tap this on your head and you'll be sent away from me for a while. I'll meet back up with you as soon as I can. I promise." Yuki tapped the Pokeball onto the Bagon's head just as he said. The Bagon was instantly captured as it already belonged to him and the Pokeball vanished from his grip. With a heavy sigh, Yuki stood back up and motioned for Umbros and Jester to follow him. "Okay guys lets continue our travel. We have a lot of ground to cover to reach Nogou again. Once we find a nice clearing with some water near by we'll take a lunch break. I still have some Pokechow left from the storage in the Tournament camp for you guys to eat. With that the small party or Trainer and Pokemon resumed their travel to Nogou.

Jester and Umbros followed behind you as you continued your journey to Nogou Village. Still keeping strong after the battle, they followed you with vigor and excitement. You could see it in their eyes that they wanted adventure. Battling that Pikachu gave them a thrill they hadn't felt since before the tournament, and it lifted your spirits after the loss in the tournament. Seeing your Pokemon work together like that made you feel a satisfaction of sorts, like when a father sees his children working together towards a common goal.

As you continued your journey, the forest was calm and the Pokemon kept to themselves. As you walked you saw several species of forest Pokemon but they kept their distance and continued their natural lives. It was incredible to see how the Pokemon all lived in harmony. There were Aipom getting berries in high trees for Venonat on the ground, Taillow giving Seedot gentle rides down to the ground. It was as if the entire forest was in complete peace. You saw the sun rise high into the sky, warming the earth below it. The trees provided excellent shade, but gradually they thinned out.

After a short while the trees were completely gone, replaced once again by vast grasslands. The harmony of the forest was replaced by the open majesty of the plains. You could see Doduo running together on the horizon, and a herd of Miltank and Tauros were grazing some distance away. There were Ponyta running free in the open space, whinnying their happiness and galloping away. It was truly an inspiring sight to behold. With the memories of bloodthirsty Scyther fresh in your memories it was a welcome change to see so many Pokemon simply happy to be alive and free.

The sun reached its peak and was blazing down on you and your Pokemon. The heat was strong, but luckily you reached a small pond where your Pokemon could be let free to swim and play. There were some water Pokemon swimming in the pond, but they all looked very friendly. In fact, a young Lotad walked up to you and started talking to Umbros and Jester. Arceus only knows what he said, but it seemed to work, as all three Pokemon were soon laughing, well, as close to laughter as Pokemon can make. Umbros and Jester looked up at you, Umbros giving you the puppy dog eyes. They probably wanted to play with the Lotad and his friends. Why not let them? They all looked friendly enough, it couldn't hurt.

Yuki enjoyed his little stroll with his two Pokemon following along. Usually he'd have Artemis out, but it was nice to allow his other Pokemon get some much needed exercise. Umbros and Jester defiantly needed the little walk after leveling up. Jester was already showing signs of having some difficulty controlling his body.

As they walked together they saw many pokemon living their tranquil lives. Yuki was starting to think that catching the Pikachu was a bad idea seeing how friendly most of the Pokemon around here were. He just wasn't used to seeing Pokemon in the wild that didn't show any interest in humans and he didn't really see anything he'd like right off hand either. Yuki's mind started to wander around as much as his feet did. He hoped that he didn't destroy the Pikachu's family, if it had one, just because he thought it would be safer with a caring trainer. Umbros caught onto Yuki's doubt and depressed feelings and gave Yuki a light tackle from behind. The little jolt brought Yuki back to where he was supposed to be and he placed his depressing feeling behind.

Soon the Forest cleared away into a rolling meadow like field with another group of carefree wild Pokemon. What surprised Yuki was the small pond full of water Pokemon. Umbros and Jester ended up talking with one of the Pokemon. What they were saying was a mystery to Yuki and both ended up looking back with joy and a strange will to play in their eyes.

"Go play you." Yuki shooed his Pokemon with his hands and both wore grins of delight. "Jester you stay out of the water. You aren't a swimmer." Jester nodded and gave a "Yes Mom!" expression. Yuki reached down and pulled off two more Pokeballs from his belt. Yuki let out Arial and Artemis from their Pokeballs as well. Arial landed in the pond and Artemis soared overhead. You two can play as well. I'll get some food ready for all you you so go play for a bit." Artemis and Arial soon joined Umbros and Jester.

Yuki started to unpack a few things from his backpack. Mainly six bowls, the last being the largest one. He opened a few canisters of Pokechow and started to fill each bowl. Once he was done he released Magna and Loo as well. He handed Loo his bowl and placed Magna's heat resistant bowl on the ground. He put Arial's bowl near the pond and placed the last three spread out. He allowed the Pokemon to play for a bit and then he'd call them back to eat.

While he did all this he started to think about the tournament ground. There were many trainers there, and most were very good. He wanted to be as good as them and he even heard that a few took on some gyms before. Yuki's primary job was a Breeder, but no one said he couldn't take on gyms to earn some cash as well as strengthen his team. Raising Pokemon was the Breeder's Job and there wasn't a better way to test the quality of a Breeder's work than to challenge a Gym.

He remembered hearing about Guilds back in Johto. The thought just barely crossed his mind when he suddenly jolted upright. He could start a guild here for trainers that wanted to make a name for themselves. Trainers that would take on Gyms and provide a network of information that could assist others like him make their mark on the world. A guild to monopolize the trainer world. The idea was very pretty in his head, but he needed two things, members and money. He also needed a name for the Guild. he started flipping through ideas in his head until he settled on an old story about a series of 12 animals. Each of the twelve represented a trait as well as Pokemon, and well if anything was the best thing he could come up with. Zodiac Alliance was the first thing that popped into his head when he wanted to think of a name to match his idea. Each section would have their own sub-leaders while he lead the entire guild. Twelve groups of trainers with identical wants, sharing information on past battles and swapping strategies. Too bad Yuki was already too far from the Tournament grounds. He could have recruited many members there if his idea appealed to them. So far he was the sole member of his guild and his first order of business was to get to Nogou and train for the gym battle.

But first he needed to let his Pokemon finish their break and while he was in a nice little place like this, It wouldn't hurt to have Umbros, Jester, and Arial finish learning the attacks he started to teach them before the tournament started.

as much as his feet did.
Yuki's feet smell that bad?

A serene pleasantness encompassed the whole area Yuki and co. had found themselves in. The breeder's adventure had landed him in a spot usually forbidden to humans- this place was a sanctuary to wild Pokemon, ones who prefer to stay that way. The grass was green, the water was blue, and the air was fresh as ever. It was in all honesty a beautiful sight- the perfect recluse for a wild Pokemon to spend their carefree lives lethargically among the company of others in their situation. The kicker of this area was how in sync everything was; All Pokemon worked together towards the common goal of having a peaceful life together.

Each of Yuki's Pokemon began to chow down on their meal the trainer had prepared. First was Magna- he swallowed his food whole, in one gulp. The only other Pokemon who didn't seem to be trained with table manners was Jester, who was being a vacuuming down his food like he'd never been fed before. The other Pokemon of the group ate quietly and politely, not even making chewing noises. It was easy to see that Jester was still a baby at heart, though, which made it understandable for him to be being such a glutton. Loo, who was Yuki's Cthooloo, seemed to prefer privacy. It had walked off a few feet from the rest of the group and began to eat the food piece by piece using its mouth tentacles.

Besides the fact that the Pokemon were eating, there was little activity occurring this particular moment. There were a lot of wild Pokemon rustling about, but none of them seemed willing to move in close enough to dine from the human's food, had Jester left any sort of leftovers for them to try and eat. The little Trapinch was still hungry after eating as much as it did, and began to wander around for more food. He hadn't gone off a long distance before his eyes spotted what seemed to be a core from a fruit lying on the ground. As fast as those stubby little legs would move him he made his way over to it, grabbing hold of it in his mouth. The Trapinch crunched into it, snapping it right in half. He began to chew the one half that was one in his mouth while he tried to stuff the other half in there. What an appetite.

While the others ate, Ariel took a few bites of her food and quickly became filled. Instead of sitting around playing with the chow she decided to adventure around the pond she was in a bit. It wasn't large by any means, and was pretty overgrown with cattails and lilies, but there was still room for her to exercise a bit. The other Pokemon inside the pond, including a majestic Goldeen, armless Poliwag, playful Marill, and an utterly useless Wooper. They all seemed to keep their distance at first, but after a while opened up to their new friend. The Wooper was chatting up an annoying storm, probably telling the Poliwag (who was no interested) about some time he got his head stuck in a hollowed out log because he's stupid and has no arms.

Lotad waited around for Umbros to finish eating. He didn't want to disturb the Pokemon from its mean under the impression that food is something sacred to him. Wild Pokemon don't quite get the fact that human trainer's have a plothole of unlimited amounts of food for their Pokemon to eat at any time, which makes it have less of a value than the food a Pokemon on their own would have to hunt of forage for. Getting tired of waiting, the Lotad waddled his way over to the pond and began to chat with the Goldeen. After a short exchange of the first syllables of their names, the Goldeen shot some water into Lotad's leaf dish. Once it was full, he made his way over to Umbros to offer the Poochyena a drink of water. How nice, a wild Pokemon providing for his new friend.

With all of Yuki's Pokemon having had some rnr, maybe it's time for the trainer to head out. Nogou Village was a bit off, a Route and the Forest of Wonder made for a lengthy trip, but it would be an excellent time for the breeder to perhaps raise an egg, or maybe raise his Pokemon some more along the road. Heck, he could even just stay in this location he was in for the rest of time. The Pokemon seemed to get along with his, and in all fairness the little creatures loved this place. Too bad that's impractical and Yuki would probably never go for it.
