Blazing Falcon's Journey

Sitting on the street corner was taking far too long. It was time to pack up and move on. Captain would be none too pleased, but well, he'd get over it. It's not like he wasn't on the cusp of learning the move anyways. Heracross on the other hand was not so close, but I didn't have time to deal with this crap, so I just decided to move on.

"Alright, Captain, Heracross, good efforts, but its time to move on. We need to keep going, so we'll pick this up later. I know you're mad at me, but we need to keep moving. Let's go." With that said and done, I returned all of my Pokemon to their respective Pokeballs and walked away. Wandering the city, I mused how I would acquire an alternate identity with which I could conduct dangerous things. If ever found out, this alternate man would just vanish into thin air. After careful considerations, I decided against creating an alternate identity for myself. First of all it was an assault against my intelligence to have to hide behind an invisible person, and it was too risky.

Instead, Vince Roden would just have to be clean as a newborn baby, but still known throughout the world under a different name. At the time I had no idea. As I walked the streets, I saw a stand where the man was selling masks. Really, really cool masks I might add. Recalling the cameras that I had to hide my face from, I bought one. This mask simply covered my forehead with a simple black plastic. The plastic had a red X near the eyes, and with that mask, I came up with it. Phantom X. Sure it wasn't perfect, but it wouldn't matter once I became an infamous thief. To make sure no one saw the rest of my face, I purchased two simple black bandanas: one to cover my face and the other to hide my unfortunately very revealing hair. Thanking the man, I went on my merry way.

((OOC: Ok, so I bought that stuff and I want it added to my profile, along with the stuff done in this post here, which was never done. Thanks. ))

You decided to put a pause to the tutoring once more. Vince, you seem eager to move on. Stopping over at a street vendor, a few masks interested you. Purchasing them quickly, you now had two simple, black bandannas and a mask with a red ex on it. This surely would mask your identity now. It was also perfect timing. A loud crash echoed throughout the street. The vendor looked elderly, and probably was losing some of his hearing. That means he couldn't hear, so you luckily got away with paying for the masks without a problem.

The noise came again, and it was followed by yelling. "Damnit, John! Can you be careful with that stuff?" A deep voice could be heard. The next voice seemed a little softer, but all the more you could hear it. "Sorry, boss. It's just so heavy."

Wait, so you could hear them because it was so empty feeling outside. It was getting dark, and some men were apparently carting things around. You seemed to have experience in the field of crimes, so you could probably instantly pick up that it was a robbery. Well, well. With some new masks, you could easily go over and play hero or play bad guy. Whatever you choose, well, hopefully you weren't going to regret. Here you are at night, on the side of Millenia Town, hearing man yell about merchandise. A robbery, it sounded like. A warehouse that stood two floors high, and no security? Hm, something seemed weird but maybe you could get a piece of the reward for helping.

I heard a something taking place in an alley along the main street he was on. I heard voices mentioning some sort of thing about dropping important stuff. The night was beginning, so I decided that it was probably nothing too important, just some men moving stuff around from one warehouse to another. However, if they were just going to move stuff around, it would be so easy to just waltz over there and take it. Deciding that that was the easiest task, I put on the mask and tied the strings behind my head. Then, I tucked my hair in the bandanna and snatched a top hat off the stall while the elderly vendor wasn't looking.

As I walked towards the noise, I put on my new top hat and tied the other bandanna around my arm. On second thought, I realized for the look I was going for, I'd need a suit, so I just put the hat into my bag and kept walking. When I arrived at the scene where two men were moving around boxes, I drew three Pokeballs and held them in his hand, one between each finger. I then said, "Gentlemen, I regret to inform you that I am taking your merchandise. If you leave quietly now, no one gets hurt." I smiled viciously and waited for a response. From chumps like them, they'd probably try to fight back, but I had no intention of losing.

You walked right in to where the men were. That is where you noticed there were actually three men. Only two had said a word, and the third had been seemingly been guarding tied up pokemon. With three tiny pokeballs in your hand, the men knew you met business. A thief trying to jack a steal from other thieves. You were a brave one, but must be tough. However, this battle is going to be tough. The man guarding the pokemon released a pokemon, as the others did after. It'd be best to battle them with separate pokemon, and not keep swapping. It's a small area in the loading dock, so it's easy to be crowded.

"This fool; is he really trying to get our steal? Don't you know respect, man!?" The leader of the three said, sending out a strong looking Ivysaur. The others hand a Mankey, and the third had a Zubat. None of them looked extremely terrifying. Of course, to get the quickest battle, match them up with their weakness. But, as a thief, and a trainer, you already know that. "Get 'im boys!" The three pokemon came to attention and were ready to strike when you released your pokemon.

As the night stayed still and quite, only this new conflict was any source of noise. A pokemon battle in here. But that is when the third man stepped to the side, revealing what pokemon were actually tied up. There were two Machops, a male Nidoran, and a Pikachu. Each seemed pretty scared, and you could easily tell what their jobs were. Maybe you could steal one and some merchandise after this fight.

As I arrived, I realized that my initial assumption had been wrong. There were three men, not two, but none of that matter to me. The supposed leader said to someone, "This fool; is he really trying to get our steal? Don't you know respect, man!?" He seemed to be confused as to who he was talking to. Still, I stood calmly as the man threw down a Pokemon containing an Ivysaur. I was neither surprised nor amused when the other two men threw out their own Pokemon. With a deep sigh and three flicks of my wrist, I threw down my three Pokemon, each facing off in turn against one of the Pokemon. Captain faced off against the Ivysaur, a sure win. Caligula stood ready to fight the Mankey, and Caracalla was going to fight the Zubat.

These men's Pokemon looked rather strong, at least compared to my current Pokemon, but most of the time, Pokemon was all about strategy, not strength. Brains over brawn as they say. With my Pokemon released, I said, "In answer to your question, do I have respect for noisy and incompetent thieves such as yourselves, the answer is no. You still have a chance to leave if you'd like." And obviously since these men were mostly brutes, I mentally spoke to Caligula. Should the men attack suddenly, we will be ready to respond. Inform Caracalla and Captain of what I say.

An answer appeared as if a native thought in my mind, Understood, Vince. And these commands are?

My lips curled up in a snide smile and I reached out to tell him of my plans. Captain is to use ember on the Ivysaur, but only when there is a direct shot. If he can get one off immediately do it. If not, tell him to bide his time and take a well aimed shot. As for Caracalla, tell him to use Quick Attack on the Zubat. In finishing the attack, he's to get behind the Zubat and use Night Slash. You, Caligula are to use Calm Mind and play a waiting game. When the Mankey comes at you, Teleport behind it and use Fire Punch. Then, wait some more. Rinse and repeat. Unless it doesn't work, keep doing this. Caligula didn't respond. He glanced at Captain who roared intimidatingly. Then, he tapped Caracalla who had to release his natural defenses to get the message, but now, I was all set. Then, Caligula, the brilliant thing, danced around, pretending that his hit was a playful one. And even further, he stayed away from Captain, as if he was afraid of it and that's why he wouldn't hit him.

I see you're pleased, Vince. We're all set. Let's show these fools."

It took all my strength to keep from laughing, but I didn't. Now we would show these brutes what true strength was: knowledge and superior tactics, not brute strength.

You popped out three pokemon of your own. A Charmeleon, Abra, and Sneasel. All ready to kick some butt against these bandits. The men stayed quiet, and only watched on. They cocked an eyebrow when they seen you paused, and seemingly thinking to yourself. They didn't know what you were doing; that being communication with Abra. Telepathically giving out commands was a very good way to surprise your foes. And the battle was to begin!! As it seemed, every pokemon just picked a partner and stared off. As instructed, Abra was to use Calm Mind. It meditating, and while it was, the Mankey just stared off with it. Charmeleon found a shot, at that moment, and fired off a round. Without a moment's hesitation, it fired another. While everything was going down, Sneasel used Quick Attack to get to the Zubat and give it a quick hit, before jumping behind it for a Night Slash! Abra is the only one with no action, well, and Mankey.

"Whoa!" A man called out, seeing how there was so much action going on. The men all looked at their pokemon, and seen that only Ivysaur was hurt. The trio of guys began to laugh. "Haha! You could only hurt one of the pokemon. My Zubat doesn't look as if it has a scratch on it!" Now, they're laughing at you.

"*CENSORED FROM RECORD*," I muttered under my breath. This was a predicament that I had not anticipated. I had assumed that I would be able to at least harm my opponent's Pokemon with my own, but apparently that was not the case. Still, that didn't leave me out of the fight. I still had Captain to accommodate for Caligula and Caracalla's lack of strength. Furthermore, I had Caligula's psychic commands, which had caught the men completely off guard, granting me an element of surprise that I was not wont to give up. Thirdly, I had my own intelligence, which was more than 10 times that of these moronic thieves.

Ignoring the ignoramus' laughter, I formulated a new plan. This time, I would move my own Pokemon around to better accommodate their abilities. Caligula, I need your help again. I called out mentally. Knowing the Abra, he would be listening for my calls anyways. Ever since I had brought the crazy *CENSORED FROM RECORD* onto my team, I had rarely actually called out commands. Instead, I had simply said them to Caligula and let him relay the messages onto the rest of my active team.

Yes, Vince? came a quick reply in my head. It appeared as a thought, but from experience, I knew that even though it seemed like my own thought, it was not.

Let Captain know that he is to attack the Mankey you are facing off against with Dragon Rage. Then, right after, he's to use the same attack on the Zubat. You are to try to fight the Ivysaur. You want to attack the Ivysaur with Fire Punch. Tell Caracalla to attack the Ivysaur as well with Night Slash. Use the opening Caracalla provides to get in a good hit. Aim for what you'd consider a vital area, like maybe the base of that flower. With the commands set, and a nod from Caligula, Round 2 was set to begin. This time, I was playing less fairly.

As Abra relayed the message to each of the pokemon, they all immediately began to go to work. Charmeleon charged up some dragon fire, and allowed it to burst from his mouth. Mankey had had plans to run, and maybe his trainer too by the looks of it, but the money was knocked in the face by the fire. Zubat looked over, examining what the damages seemed to be on Mankey. While looking away, the Zubat was hit and the force carried it to the wall, where it hit hard. It's petit body slammed hard, and bounced off to land on the ground.

The next set was going to be done with Sneasel first, and then the Abra you were telling the orders too. Which, in all fairness, was the right way. Sneasel was quick, and so it set off, gathering the dark energy around the claws it sported on it's hand. When it got close, Ivysaur went to use Strike, in attempts to throw it off balance. Sneasel didn't get hit, though. He moved too quick, and went to the left side a bit and swung his arm. It didn't do much, but enough to cause a little opening. Very little. Abra zoomed forth, charging the flames that coiled around it's fist. With what could've been a nice action seen turned into Abra punching it dead at the base of the flower... landing a critical with fire punch!

The battle, well, wasn't going exactly the way you liked it. Good news is, no one really attacked you. Mankey was too busy bouncing and dancing around, holding it's face as the Dragon Rage had hit it good. Zubat was still struggling to get up, as the wall really seemed to do some damage. Ivysaur was going in circles, wanting to release the pain in it's flower. It was time you could finish off two of the tree with just Charmleon. Which would you go after?

This whole battle was going to be a nightmare. It was obvious that it would take such a ridiculously long time to fight this battle that I began to wonder why I should bother. For a few milliseconds, I thought about the point behind fighting these ridiculous goons and came to the conclusion that there were two things I could do with them. First, I could humble their pathetic asses into submission and make them my personal lackeys. Second, I could extort or blackmail them for money seeing as they were stupid enough to attempt a robbery wearing nothing to disguise themselves. With these thoughts brightening my mood, I turned my attention back to the fight, where things were going a lot better than that atrocious first round.

Captain managed to hit both of his targets with Dragon Rage, which seemed to affect both enemies rather painfully. Plus, Caligula's hit on the Ivysaur's flower seemed to be quite painful. A slight sadistic streak in me caused me to smile slightly at the sight of their obvious pain. That's what they get for trying to be stupid and *CENSORED FROM RECORD* with me, Vince Roden. As that sadistic streak enjoyed the sight, the rest of my mind was completely and utterly emotionless, running through countless scenarios to try to find the best possible way to win. After another few milliseconds, I called out to Caligula for the next round.

Nice work, Caligula. You're going to move on now. You and Caracalla should attack the Mankey now, while its distracted with the dragon fire in its face. You use Fire Punch and Caracalla should use Quick Attack. However, tell Caracalla that if Mankey gets too close to him, Caracalla, in a position where he could get hit, to use Quick Attack away, perhaps on Zubat, but definitely away from the Mankey. With Fire Punch, try to distract Mankey so Caracalla can get a hit in too. Also, tell Captain that he is to use Dragon Rage on Zubat and then Flamethrower on Ivysaur. Tell him I said to make sure its built up properly and then he has to let it out in a stream as if out of a tube.

As in the past two rounds, I heard no response for a second or two as the commands were conveyed to my companions. But after a small period of time, I heard, And so we go. And with that said, all three of my Pokemon moved simultaneously, launching into their attacks, hopefully leaving the brutes still dumbfounded. That thought made me wonder: how stupid were these guys that they hadn't been able to respond to my silent attacks yet?[/i]

As much as I hope this doesn't go wrong, it just seemed to have a little potential too. Working immediately, Abra started to relay the message to everyone. Him and the Sneasel went off, urging their moves towards Mankey. While in the mean time, Captain the Charmeleon fired off an amazing dragon fireball. It hit Zubat, nearly knocking him away, again. It had great potential to do so, but Zubat remained in balance. With Mankey, you seen Abra use a Fire Punch; this made it vulnerable with a push back, and then Sneasel got a quick Quick Attack in. It looked as if it was a spur of the moment thing, is more of what I meant. In a counterattack, the Mankey tried using a powerful Strike again the Sneasel, but it missed as the dark type throw himself backwards and into a Quick Attack to hit the Zubat, taking him into a box to soften his own landing. Abra had moved back by now, as well. But the Zubat got the Sneasel's arm in a Bite. While Zubat was the only one to cause the most of the damage so far. Mankey barely, truly, felt the pain from the attacks.

So many things going on! What was left for your side was the Flamethrower tutor. More like a finish up, then an actual tutor. The Abra had warned it to build it up perfectly, but it had been a while. All the same, the Charmeleon searched for the entire lesson again, and then let go a stream of fire. Ivysaur was overwhelmed, and even burned. A red blush appeared under it's eyes, and it felt as if it wanted nothing more then to nap. Fighting through, it ran and tackled Captain to the ground. You had gotten the Zubat and Ivysaur's health done. Maybe it would be best to take the simple way, use two Dragon Rage (one of each: Ivysaur and Zubat) and then turn everything to the focus of Mankey. It's up to you, though.

This fight was dragging on for too long. Sure, I kept thinking that, but this fight was quite literally taking far more time than I had ever anticipated. My battles needed to be quick, proving my sheer dominance through overwhelming strength. Although I was still of the mind that tactics will always beat brute force, brute force with tactics to back it up would have been a welcome change in this current fight. Still, I had no choice but to bear out the storm and continue to persevere. *CENSORED FROM RECORD* THAT!

Sighing loudly, I relayed another set of commands to Caligula. Tell Captain to use Flamethrower in a wide arc, trying to hit all three enemies since they appear to be conveniently lined up like the idiots that they are. In the confusion that the wall of fire creates, I want you and Caracalla to sneak behind the line of fire and rain hell on the opponent's Zubat. Use Fire Punch as often as you can and tell Caracalla to use Night Slash repeatedly. Do your best to avoid damage from the Flame Wall, especially Caracalla. Also, tell Captain to use Dragon Rage on Mankey as the fire clears.

Your wish is my command, master
came the sarcastic yet obedient response.

"Whatever," I mumbled inaudibly. "Just do what I goddamn tell you to."

The good part was that Caligula would do exactly as I said, no questions asked. He might have psychic powers, but as they are now, they were latent powers, so they meant little to me. All I had to do was break the little *CENSORED FROM RECORD* before he was actually able to use those powers on me and I had nothing to fear. Its like training elephants, where they bound them at birth so that even after they were unbound, they were convinced they were bound. And if Caligula's psychic strength could be compared to the physical strength of an elephant, then I had truly chosen well.

The guys didn't seem to calm; they were fearing your Charmleon the most seeing as it was doing the most damage and had been the highest level on your team. Not to mention the Trainer who sent out the Ivysaur; his face showcased concern and worry knowing damn well that if his Ivysaur goes down, things could get real bad for all of them. The red blush under Ivysaur's eyes seemed to worsen as his life began to get low. At the moment, your Abra had told his teammates the plan, sending the Charmeleon into a speedy attack. The Flamethrower, spread out, may have been a little weaker then normal but all the same did some good damage on the pokemon! It fainted the Ivysaur and brought Zubat hovering only two inches above the ground.

An effortless Night Slash seemed to be a quick attack from behind on the Zubat by none other then the Sneasel. It wasn't long before the Mankey had been the only one standing. As it stood alone, the other men retrieved their pokemon and started bagging everything they could for a getaway. But it wouldn't be that simple; as a rival thief and probably thriving to know what goodies they really did have, you wouldn't let them get off so soon. A quick Dragon Rage took the Mankey back towards a wall; the dragonic blue flames distracted it with a sense of beauty, while the Abra and Sneasel laid down the only attacks they could. Fire Punches and a Night Slash. By luck, the Night Slash was a critical chance--as it had a boosted chance and worked out.

"Oh no, guys, Mankey is getting close too!" The main looked surprised, but even more when the Mankey started to faintly glow a reddish color. A brownish red, like the natural color used for Fighting type. His ability was activating--Anger Point. The critical that Sneasel had was turning bitter sweet as the Mankey had been pumped with energy as if it took steroids. It looked towards the Sneasel as it was only right with it being the one to deal the critical. But in a way it knew you were using Abra's telepathic abilities to hide your attacks. It, as in the Mankey knew, but the Trainers didn't. Finding use in taking down the weakest one, the Mankey went wild with a Strike! Its boosted power didn't help much... And then it turned and got a Strike in on Sneasel. Poor guys. "Go Mankey! Did ya' see that guys?" The other two ignored the one man talking, trying to pack everything remaining in bags and cram them into ones basically full.
