Just when you were wondering where you were going, you finally saw the world beyond the portal you walked into. Plains rolled before you, and for the first time in a long time you heard the noises that told you Pokemon were around. Looking around, you saw a lot of other people appearing around you, obviously coming from Tohea as well. Pokemon also kept popping up around you, clearly the ones who have been disappearing from Tohea, meaning that you found the answer. You just found out where these Pokemon were going, although in doing so, you’ve managed to go to the same place. Is that good, or is that bad? Well that really depends on how you look at it, don’t you think? Either way, I must tell you… WELCOME TO ALTERNIA! You saw a huge sign in the middle of the plains, with Alternia clearly printed upon it, obviously the name of the region you’ve come to. The good news is that you’re safe from whatever was going on in Tohea. However, the bad news is you’ll never be able to return to Tohea, or the world that it was placed upon. Everyone you ever knew before could possibly be trapped in Tohea, meaning that you may never see them again. You should however consider yourself lucky, for I can tell you that Tohea has been completely destroyed by the beings that were fighting in the sky there. Or it will be if it hasn’t already. But to try to give you some good news, you have plenty of Pokemon around you to battle and possibly capture if you would like to. Or you could try traveling somewhere, as there are two routes leading out of this area, which apparently is named Joukai Pass. Route One is one of the routes, which will lead to Nogou Village, whatever that is. It also can take you to Route Two which will take you to another place called Kijutsu City. Then Route Five, the other route will take you Millenia Town, although there is a warning stating that Pokemon on Route Five are stronger than usual. So what will it be? This Pokemon that wants to battle, or a route right away to find out where the hell you are and how you came to be there? Level 8

As I left the science center, an Abra came up to me and it teleported me away. I tilted my head quizzically, but when I looked down to figure out why the Abra had teleported me away, it was no longer there. "Bullshit," I muttered to myself. I decided that dwelling on this was not necessary, so I checked my pockets for Pokeballs and money. Everything that I had had before was still there, including the $10,000 from that stupid scientist. I hoped he died in the "CLASH OF THE GOD POKEMON!" What a moron. I brushed myself off and looked around. I appeared to be in a large pass between a mountain. A large tower stood in the distance. It looked intimidating, but boring. There wouldn't be anything interesting to steal or do there. Looking around, again, I saw a sign telling me that I could go to some random cities. Picking a random route, I began heading for Route 5 to reach Millenia Town or something. The Pokemon there were supposed to be very strong, but I completely ignored the warning for lesser souls than I. I walked forwards at a rapid pace until I found my path blocked by a wild Zangoose. I stopped short and glared at it because it was not a Pokemon I wanted. It was ugly, stupid, and useless. It was like Sneasel except not as good. However, it might come in handy for other things, so I decided to get Captain so much needed experience and a new bargaining tool. I sent out my trusted dragon and told him, "Captain, use Ancient Power, followed swiftly by Ember. We're gonna start this off strong and bust him to pieces." The little dragon grinned because above all he loved a good battle. I smiled back because I knew that he was going to be a wonderful asset to my team of the perfect thieves. I began to plan out a plan for a guild of thieves. I was not going to stoop so low as to kill someone, and I would not allow my Pokemon to do so either. However, that would not be a problem. I would simply have other such people as that join my guild and instruct them to kill for me. I grinned maliciously and watched the battle unfold. |

So many strange humans and pokemon appearing out of nowhere…Zangoose was very troubled. He didn’t like this intrusion into his home one bit. As you and your Charmander were the closest ones to him, you would be the first to experience his wrath! He wasn’t at all frightened by his opponent’s smile. That Charmander was uneducated, it was as simple as that. Zangoos knew he’d have to teach that little runt to respect and fear him. “Zangoose!” he challenged, holding up his right hand so that the light glinted off his long claws. He held the pose only for a second though, as he had no intention of giving you or your Charmander time to launch an attack first. Instead he streaked forward and cocked his arm back, readying a combo attack. First he charged in and rammed Charmander with Quick Attack, then he used Scratch before his opponent could recover. Once the combo had been used Zangoose stood back and crossed his arms, a smug grin on his face. Did Charmander still think it was so tough? Okay, that was so not fun. Captain was not at all happy with Zangoose. In fact he was downright ticked off. You had told him to use Ancient Power and then Ember to smash that rotten mongoose and that was just what he intended to do! Zangoose was going to rue the day he decided to pull off such a low attack against Captain…he would personally see to that. Concentrating hard, Captain called upon the ancient, primal power within him, gathering it until he couldn’t hold it in any longer. At that point he released the energy, blasting Zangoose with all the power he could muster. However, Captain had gathered far more power than could put into the attack. The remainder stayed within and gave him a boost to his stats, an advantage he fully intended to make use of. Caught off guard by the attack (since when did Charmander know Ancient Power?) Zangoose hardly had time to look puzzled before the attack struck him. Had he been human, he’d have said “Oof”, but being a Zangoose instead, a breathless “Goose!” was what you heard as the attack hit. On the plus side a fair bit of damage was done, but now Zangoose was positive that all of you (all the strange pokemon and trainers) were a threat to him and his home. He didn’t have time to really ponder this, because Captain immediately called forth another power within him: his burning fire. While Zangoose was shaking his head and gaining his bearings, Captain opened his mouth wide and spat several small fireballs at Zangoose, forming a powerful Ember attack. Well, of course it was powerful; it was fueled by Captain’s anger and the boost he’d gotten from Ancient Power! So, no sooner did Zangoose stand up then he got a face full of Ember! Yum…not. Once the barrage was over Zangoose glared at Charmander. “Zan zangoose!” he roared, clearly just as ticked off as Charmander. Captain just grinned at him, pleased that he’d paid the Zangoose back for his sneak attack. That would teach Zangoose to mess with him! Well, this battle just started and already it’s red-hot. As I watched the leader of my team take on the Zangoose, I was impressed when it managed to strike Captain with something in record time. I still didn't like the Pokemon, but it had its merits. I could give it that. Captain shrugged off the attack and he responded in turn. This was going to get interesting. Captain was a fighter, but he liked fair fights. To him, that wasn't a fair attack and everything else he did would be brutally dangerous. I wouldn't want to be in Zangoose's shoes. Captain took his rage and with that brutality that I mentioned before, poured his energy into an Ancient Power attack. That attack was so wonderful because it was the exact opposite of Captain's true power, yet it worked so well. I smiled gratefully at my little lizard. He was going to be a great fighter. Well, the beam of energy hit Zangoose and it grunted in pain. Take that, stupid monkey. Captain then drew from his fiery core and fired a scorching flare of embers at the creature. Again it grunted. This was going to be easy. As Captain released his embers, I said to him, "Excellent work Captain! Now, follow up with a Growl attack and then use Scratch. You're stronger than he is. Now prove it." The lizard grinned as he finished his attack, and then he opened his mouth and let out an intimidating Growl. Watching him and the glint in Captain's eye, I knew that the Zangoose was going down. |

A little Growl attack…normally Zangoose wouldn’t care if such a puny pokemon growled at him, but after the vicious assault Charmander had given him last round he was wary of it. When it started Growling at him menacingly he couldn’t help but feel a shiver run down his spine. That tingle of fear…whether he liked it or not that fear would lead to him softening his blows, just a little. He’d be reluctant to touch Charmander now, no matter how badly he wanted to win. Determined to even the playing field, Zangoose Leered nastily at Charmander, and was rewarded by a tinge of fear in those fiery eyes. That little Charmander wasn’t going to get away with pushing him around! Due to the effect of Ancient Power though, Leer merely reduced Charmander’s defense to what it originally was. Zangoose still had a lower attack, so the field wasn’t quite level. He didn’t have time to bother with another Leer though. Now it was time to move on to pounding that Charmander! A Leer attack…how dare he! As if Captain wasn’t POed enough already! He fully intended to make his Scratch attack count. So, where was the best place to tear at Zangoose? The eyes were obvious but a pretty difficult target. The snout also wouldn’t be a good idea; too much trouble and too messy, especially if he hit the nose. Ew, he did not want to deal with Zangoose boogers! As Zangoose charged in to use his own Scratch attack Captain grinned deviously. Oh, he knew just where to hit now! Either the feet or the legs, as they gave Zangoose its mobility. If the attack did enough damage Zangoose would be a sitting Psyduck. The best time to strike would be right after Zangoose attacked. He would need a few seconds to recover and back off and during that time Captain would make his move. He grit his teeth and let Zangoose Scratch him, much as he would rather dodge the attack. Captain did, however, duck so that Zangoose’s nails ran down his back instead of his face and he was in position to launch his counterattack. While Zangoose had his weight on his feet from the reach of his Scratch attack Captain lashed on with his Scratch, tearing deep into Zangoose’s leg. The attack (a critical hit) left nasty cuts that ran from Zangoose’s leg down to his toes. Zangoose yelped and backed off while Captain laughed and then turned to you with a smile, waiting for your next orders. Your Pokemon Level 9 28/43 63%(Attack +1, Speed +1, Sp. Attack +1, Sp. I watched as my brilliant lizard played his cards to perfection. He kept his head up and played his hand as a true fighter. He realized that in order to get a win, he would need to get hit himself. After getting struck with a nasty scratch attack, he returned fire with his own scratch attack. Aiming at the Zangoose's legs, Captain took aim and struck home. I was indeed right. Captain would make a brilliant fighter one day. My wanna-be dragon turned to grin at me as he finished his near-deadly swipe, but he seemed to be still attentive on the battle at the same time. He turned to the battle once more at a nod from me. My face remained stern because though I did care for my little dragon, it would not do to let it know that. Strength should be its primary concern. Affection would come after. As the battle progressed, I had been wondering if I would keep this Zangoose or eliminate it. I felt that it would not be a useful asset to my team, but it might be a useful trading tool. I thought long and hard about this and decided that a Zangoose was useless. A Sneasel could destroy with its eyes closed. I smiled cunningly to myself and said to Captain, "Captain, end this. Use Scratch and then to ensure victory, headbutt it to the ground. This fight is over." Captain sharp teeth glinted in the light and his eyes shone with desire. The little dragon was going to finish this once and for all. |

Captain smiled and quickly moved at Zangoose having his claws ready for the Scratch attack. He landed a blow on the Zangoose. It was the final thing that needed to be done because the Zangoose went down to the ground and though he tried to move and get back up on his feet he was unable to. He fell completely to the ground defeated and unable to battle anymore. Captain has won the battle as he began to make joyful sounds and wagging his fiery tail which grew brighter as he gain his experience. While Captain was celebrating in his own way his victory against a Zangoose you could see that there were a lot more Pokemon running about but they don't seemed to pay you any mind. As you still looked around while Captain celebrated you saw something black moved around in the shadow of things trying to not be seen by anyone. You also saw that this Pokemon had some sharp claws and was running really fast. It looked like this Pokemon was trying to get somewhere and it was getting there faster. Captain gain 80 and gain a level. I'll update your profile.

As Captain finished the fight, I smiled at him. Now was the time for praise. The little dragon did a little dance, which I didn't really approve of, but I allowed him to have his fun. After all, he did just win a battle. Well, the dragon skipped over to me, happy as could be. I calmed him down and said, "Good job, Captain. I'm glad that you knew to take the hit to get the proper position for a deadly attack." The fiery tail erupted in flame at this. He liked my praise. I hated to ruin it, but I had too. "However, Captain, you need to keep on your toes. If you had been faster, you could have dodged the attack and still gotten that wonderful attack in. Try harder next time. Okay?" Captain looked down at the ground and shuffled his feet in shame. I smiled down at him. Patting his head, I looked around. As I looked around, I managed to see a dark shape slinking about in the shadows. It was moving quickly and efficiently. Its speed intrigued me, and I whipped a Pokeball from my pocket. Pushing the button, I let out Caligula. The Pokemon floated in the air for a second and then perched on my shoulder. I'm tired. A voice echoed in my head. I glared at the Abra and said, "Yeah? Too bad. You've been asleep for days. See that dark figure with claws? Follow it." Caligula yawned. If I don't? I groaned. Caligula could be such a bitch when he was tired. I said, "When you catch up to it, engage it with Fire Punch." A much brighter voice reached my head, Did you say engage? I'm on it. The Abra on my shoulder vanished into thin air. I watched Caligula disappear and reappear at random intervals to keep watch on the dark figure. Shaking my head at him, I admired the fighting spirit in him. He loved to fight a bit too much. Sometimes I would think he was a sadist. I knew I'd get a call when he finally reached his target, so I turned my attention back to Captain. He was still looking down in shame. Kneeling down in front of him, I lifted his head so that our eyes met. Smiling, I said, "Hey little one, don't be sad. You did well. Here, take these." I reached into another pocket and drew out the box with the candies. I gave three of them to Captain and he chomped down gleefully. I stood back up and walked away towards where I could see the vague outline of Caligula in the distance. "Shit," I muttered. I called to Captain, "Hurry up little one. We're falling behind." The dragon sprinted to catch up with me as I began to jog quickly to the beginning battle scene. I got a call from Caligula, I FOUND THE LITTLE BUGGER! A spark of flame appeared as I reached the scene and I knew the battle had begun. |

As you approached you could see the flames starting to disappear and two Pokemon facing each other. One was Caligula who was floating in the air, his fist still glowing slightly from the punch he had just used. The other Pokemon was just picking itself up from the ground, it was travelling at a hell of a speed when Caligula appeared in front of it and smacked it. The Pokemon let out an ear splitting Screech causing both Caligula and Captain to cover their ears in pain. Suddenly it moved, launching itself towards Caligula at a frightening speed, the attack sent Caligula flying before he managed to right himself. The Pokemon was moving so quickly you still couldn't quite make out what it was. As quickly as it had started it's attack it stopped, you could now clearly see what it was, it was the Sharp Claw Pokemon Sneasel and it was pissed. It looked towards Caligula and gave an evil grin, it extended its paw and beckoned with one claw, taunting the little Psychic. Caligula couldn't help himself, enraged at the insolence shown by this Sneasel it launched itself towards the Pokemon, completely forgetting it could use Fire Punch and tried to Tackle the Sneasel. I caught up to the battle and saw Caligula with a gleeful glint in his eyes. He nodded to me as he detected my presence and returned to the battle as quickly as possible. As he turned to the battle, I realized the identity of my quarry. This Pokémon was one of the last creatures on my soon to be unbeatable team, a Sneasel. I grinned mischievously to myself as I noticed the raw power and murderous rage emanating the Pokémon. It also appeared to have a cocky air as it taunted Caligula with a fearless gaze. Obviously Caligula, with his overbearing superiority complex, was bound to attack, but I was surprised by his lack of logical reasoning. From what I had garnered, my floating fox was a kindred spirit to me, a strict user of impeccable logic. Unlike me, Caligula enjoyed fights, but other than that we were usually quite similar. Thus, I sighed as I saw Caligula try to ram the Sneasel straight in the face. I roared in frustration at him, “Caligula, use your head! He’s being a cocky asshole, but you’re smarter than he is. Use that massive brain of yours and crush him like a bug.” Caligula made no response, and for a while, he seemed to do nothing. He just stared at the Sneasel. Well, it was really only a few seconds, but for ones as brilliant as me and Caligula, it was long enough. Caligula didn’t contact me, but I knew that he knew what I wanted because his left hand began to erupt in flames. As I watched Caligula, I felt a burning sensation at my leg. I looked down to see Captain with flames licking out from his grimacing face. He wanted a piece of the action too. I patted him on the head and said, “Captain, you’ve done well for now. Time for a break.” The lizard glared at me as red light snapped him back into his Pokeball. I looked up again and Caligula was headed straight for Sneasel with a flaming fist of fury. A message reached me that said, Through where he is and then to his left or right depending where he goes. Call it in your head, I’ll hear it. I said, “Go,” and Caligula sped up to hit the clawed Pokemon. I stood silently, waiting and watching, ready to call a direction to my enraged Psychic. ((OOC: First, I used three Rare Candies on Captain, so if that could be changed... Second, Vince will call out mentally whichever direction he sees the Sneasel go because he and Caligula assume that the Sneasel will dodge in some direction. If he doesn't dodge, well then lucky them.)) Edited by Blazing Falcon, Feb 27 2009, 12:03 PM.

Caligula prepared it's attack. It's fist suddenly burst into fire and he sped towards the Sneasel with amazing speed. Sneasel who was waiting for such an attack, shot at Caligula, obviously trying to intercept the attack...wrong. Just before Caligula and Sneasel met, Sneasel bent it's knees and jumped straight over the little Abra, landing near you and launching itself, preparing a back attack. "Behind you." You shouted, in your mind. Caligula heard and spun round, floating in the air and pulling his fist back. Sneasel, not prepared for this sudden turn around had to use it's amazing speed and agility to quickly dart to the left and continue it's attack. Although it obviously had not realised you and Caligula were strategizing via telepathy so Caligula was more than ready to intercept the attack. As Sneasel darted to the left, Caligula teleported and reappeared in front of Sneasel and went to deliver a devastating Fire Punch. Sneasal, only noticing Caligula at the very last moment pulled off a backflip, landing a few inches away from Caligula and once again darting forward, still trying to land a claw attack. This time Caligula did not need your instructions and teleported out of the way and reappeared near you, his fist bursting into fire yet again as he charged towards Sneasel, trying to deliver his powerful Fire Punch. Sneasel wasn't willing to accept a hit just yet and went to dodge yet again. Although using mind speak you told Caligula where to go almost as soon as Sneasel moved and Caligula teleported once more landing in front of Sneasel and throwing his Fire Punch. Sneasel, tired of this game of cat and mouse, threw his claw forward. Both Sneasel and Caligula took the respective hit and were thrown across the battlefield with Caligula landing by your feet. The attacks seemed to have hit hard, the battle was soon to be over. Level 8 28/41 60% ![]() Level 10 18/45 65%

I watched the battle with steadfast dedication, carefully following the movements of the dark shape that was a Sneasel. Each time it moved, I called out its direction to Caligula. The Abra noted what I said and responded accordingly. After a while, Caligula seemed to get over the Taunt and use his head again. The second he did so, he vanished from sight. Teleportation is such a wonderful tool. I shook my head in amusement and watched the battle. Caligula had to teleport once more in order to land a hit on the Sneasel. He didn't get away unscathed though and he flew backwards to land at my feet after landing a devastating Fire Punch in return for a scratch attack. Caligula sat up and looked me in the eye, reading my intentions in a moment. No. He is mine. I looked at him and responded, Caligula, I need him. He's fast and strong. We need him for later. Caligula glared at me for a second and returned to the battlefield. This is not over Vince. I will finish it. Now it was my turn to glare. I would not allow insolence on my team. This quarrel was over. I drew an Ultraball from my one of my pockets and watched Caligula stream towards Sneasel at breakneck speed. His hands glowed with flames, which I realized was a cool idea. Two Fire Punches at the same time. Awesome. I could realize a good battle strategy when I saw one. My distraction was shortlived because suddenly a Caligula's voice echoed in my mind, Do not interfere, Vince. Now it was on. This fight was over. Sneasel would be mine. I waited for Sneasel to move and calculating the trajectory of the moving projectile, I threw the UltraBall at a place where it would be in the near future. It damned well better catch that *censored from record*. Next on my list would be to discipline my Abra. He was gonna get hell. And deserve it too. |

I know you're out there somewhere...
|
The Sneasel waited, his claws twitchin in anticipation, and you saw it Leer at Caligula, though it still didn't move, not giving you the chance to try to capture it. Just as your Psychic type got there, the cat Pokemon quickly jumped, and you knew not to throw the Ultra Ball now, as it would miss, and if you threw it at the ground there was a chance it would just bounce off of Abra. Caligula's fists went through empty air, and when Sneasel landed on his feet, you saw him move very fast, hitting your Pokemon hard with his own body, before thrusting his claws into his side. No doubt Caligula was in pain, although I'm sure that besides the physical attack, his ego was taking some serious damage as well, as he was thinking he would be able to take out the cat without any problems. However, you must have known better, because in the end, Caligula was left with less health than Sneasel. When Caligula landed hard on his back, you finally had the chance to use the Ultra Ball, which sucked Sneasel up, and began to wiggle back and forth, but only for a short time. Once the capture gave its announcement of success, you saw the Ultra Ball quickly disappear, having gone to your trust PC and leaving you alone with Caligula. You said you wanted to deal him with some punishment, so I shall let you get to that. Hopefully things will go well. I know I wouldn't want to be that Abra. He gained 25 as well as the bruised ego. I shall make the adjustments to your Profile.

Caligula turned to see me after the Ultra Ball vanished to the Pokemon Center's PC. I made a note to be sure I altered my specific account to be better than the others. Caligula took one look at my face and disappeared, leaving a message in my mind. I'll be gone for a while. Don't come looking for me. My eyes widened in a sort of amused shock. He thought he could get away that easily? I smiled with a smile that showed no mirth. Any who looked on the face would probably be confused, but Caligula was still in my head and a tremor of fear ran through my mind. Caligula, the longer we play this game, the worse it gets. You know me. You've been in my head. I won't kill you. But the longer I have to wait for you, the more pain you have waiting for you upon your return. I simply stood waiting and waiting for Caligula to come back. After three seconds, I stopped giving him free time and began to count. 1....2....3....4....5 I didn't need to reach six because Caligula read my intentions and appeared submissive in front of me. I noted that Caligula had stopped all connection between our minds, so he was obviously planning something. I reveled in the freedom because in order to keep secrets from me, my secrets were free from Caligula. He didn't have the power yet to block his thoughts while reading mine. Reaching into my coat, I found the coiled rope upon which I had tied the grappling hook. I coiled the muscles in my legs, ready to leap at a moment's notice. I was just in time. Caligula's hands seemed to explode, and I leaped back to avoid serious burns. Caligula's lunge stopped short inches from me and his flames were doused in the dirt. The Abra picked himself up slowly and spat dirt from his mouth. He didn't get any further. I quickly knelt to the ground. I shoved Caligula to the ground with my right hand and said out loud, "If you ever disobey me again, I will not hesitate to destroy you. You're intelligent enough to know that our goals are mutually tied together. Your love for battle is rivaled only by your desire for power. We will have that power together one day. But the day that you disobey me again, I will break my code once and snap your neck like a twig. Am I clear?" The little Abra struggled to get up off of the ground. His weak body was no match for me. After a few seconds, he tired out and went limp. I asked once more, this time, with a bit more menace behind my voice. "AM I CLEAR?" Caligula nodded into the dirt, probably swallowing a lot of it. The asshole deserved it. "Good," I said and began to stand up. Caligula relaxed and I dealt the only blow I needed to deal. I lifted my left hand and brought it crashing onto his spine. I stood up and let him suffer. His cry echoed throughout the pass, a wordless cry of rage, despair, and fear. That blow would smart until we reached a Pokemon Center. And he wasn't about to get pity from me. Returning the screaming Pokemon to his Pokeball, I walked away from the scene. Throwing my hood up, I covered my face from any who might decide to report me. It would be unlikely that they catch me by the time I reached Millenia, but I still had to be careful who saw me. I began to walk slowly down Route 5, ignoring everyone I saw and walking briskly but in a manner that attracted little attention. I hoped my trip would take a few hours. I needed time to think. |

I don't think I've ever seen a Pokemon disobey their trainer in such a manner, or to that high of an extent, especially when the Pokemon knows that their master means business. None the less, apparently Caligula thought that he was in the position to actually think that he could do such things, which puts not only me in shock, but everyone around who saw that you were having problems with him. However, they all shook their heads and muttered something about Pokemon getting more and more independent these days. Of course they didn't expect to see or hear what they did. First off the Pokemon attacked you, causing quite a few people to gasp in horror, and they all returned any Pokemon they had out. But when they looked next, you were on top of him, pretty much shoving his face down into the earth, and a few people started walking briskly away. There were those, however, that nodded their heads in approval of your showing the Pokemon who exactly was boss. Yes, it may be that people and Pokemon were supposed to be equals, but then your Pokemon shouldn't have been showing you the disrespect that it had been. None the less, a lot of those nodding were no longer nodding after your hit to Abra's spine, and many of them gasped in horror. Horror, shock, a lot of that seems to be going around, no? With Caligula in his Pokeball, you hid your face from people as you walked along towards Route 5, though you didn't have to as nobody had any intention of reporting you to any authorities. However, they were greatly disturbed at the idea of actually physically harming a Pokemon to teach them a lesson. As far as most of them were concerned, just not letting them out of their Pokeball for awhile would be a lesson good enough. Maybe they just don't know how bad of a Pokemon Caligula could be. It was starting to slowly darken, and you could tell that it had to be around six o'clock when you finally made it to Millenia Town, and you saw that there weren't very many people out right now. Dinner time had come, and everyone was eating with their families if they weren't working. Or mostly everyone anyways. Now what was it you wanted to do here? |
