( this is a joint journey of Ryua and Doragon, just so everyone knows ) As you stepped onto the streets of Nogou Village, you could feel a fresh breeze lightly wrap around your ankles and cool you. Nogou Village is one of the region's principle cities because of its economic purpose in Alternia. The village of Nogou was the top producer of food for the region. So basically you made a good choice in selecting your city; lets just try not to get you into any trouble while your here. It was a wonderous day to start a Journey. The sky was clear and not a thing could go wrong. It was although the world was at peace and nothing wrong could ever happen. Otherwise a perfect time to start a Journey. Anyway, there are many things that you can do here. Go to the park, look for a job, you could even look for pokemon that inhabit urban areas. Though, some pokemon like Grimer aren't always nice to have around. However, there are plenty of other things to do as well including finding another pokemon trainer and battling him or her for glory, honor, and the right to rub it in their face if your opponent loses. Remember though, battling is just as much physical as it it mental. Fair warning if you choose the path of the warmongerer. In fact look over there I see a Charmander (doragon ) coming towards you. It looked ready for a fight and was probably coming towards you because of that reason. Wanna take this thing on? Level 5

Well this battle wasn’t starting out so hot for you, was it? Certainly not for your poor Buizel, anyway. He remained frozen as you brought out Boba, which managed to even the score a little bit. Funny, isn’t it, how trainers usually try to keep battles fair, but wild pokémon – or these, at least – didn’t really care? It’s certainly unfair that they attacked you in the first place, because you hadn’t done anything. I hope you beat them, personally. Chi had moved forwards, and Charm worked like, well, a Charm. Pikachus are cute anyway; a baby one was just overkill. The Chilkit fell for it the hardest, despite her aggressive introduction. Perhaps, to risk sounding sexist, it was because she was the female? The Ekans, though it paused to watch the obscenely cute pokémon parade around in front of them, was able to snap out of it somewhat easier, and hissed uneasily at Chi. It was cute, but it was also an enemy! Man, Charm really messed with your head. Funniest of all was the reaction of the Doduo; one head, like Ekans, was sceptical of the move, and would have attacked immediately if not for its other head. This head was making little noises in the direction of Chi, utterly taken in by Charm. It was probably the hostile head, which had started the Ekans conflict, which wasn’t fooled by the move. This head was also extremely pissed off at its brother head, and began to actually peck at the other head to stop it from being so stupid. This succeeded in distracting the more diplomatic head, and in distracting the Doduo as a whole. As Chi returned, and you gave your second set of commands, the Doduo began to squabble and fight itself. Thus, just like your Buizel was temporarily out of action, so was the Doduo, and neither the Ekans or Chilkit had time to snap them out of it before your team struck. Going for the Ekans was a good move; it had definitely been the first to escape the wrath of Charm, and was in the process of slithering towards Chi will ill intent when Boba charged, grabbing the unprepared Ekans in a nasty Vicegrip attack. The Ekans called out in distress, the sound of which snapped the Chilkit out of her googoo-gaga phase. She scampered up to the Pinsir and Growled nastily at it – but Pinsir was unaffected thanks to the Hypercutter ability. It gave a short “Sir!” of laughter at the pitiful attempt, and then tossed the Ekans on the ground. Though you had probably meant for it to use Vicegrip twice on the Ekans, Boba now thought that attacking the Chilkit was most appropriate, and lunged at her with its horns clacking together menacingly. The Chilkit squealed in instinctual fear and leapt away, but Pinsir pursued it eagerly. Trying to regain control of the situation, the small white pokémon let off a hurried Powder Snow, and though Boba was hit by it, it wasn’t very severe at all. Meanwhile, Chi had squared up ready for a Thundershock. The Doduo was still preoccupied, and was hit easily. The move definitely re-coordinated the bird’s priorities, but first it dealt some nasty damage. The frazzled Doduo, once the shock was over, turned around to glare at Chi. This happened at the same time that the Ekans had recovered from Vicegrip, and they both looked at Chi with unfriendly eyes. Ekans was particularly malicious, as well as dangerous-looking, and Chi shuddered a little as her defence and attack was lowered through the combined efforts of Leer and the Intimidate ability. The Doduo ran forwards in a sudden Quick Attack, striking Chi and sending her thudding across the ground towards the Ekans, which slithered forwards and wrapped itself quickly around the vulnerable Chi. She was caught in Wrap, and with her taken care of, the Doduo turned around, intending to help the Chilkit fend off Boba, who was still chasing her. The Buizel, meanwhile, safe beside you, was showing signs of melting; it would probably only last one more round, so he could aid his comrades soon. Ryua watched anxiously as her Pokemon moved into battle. Chi's Charm worked better than she could have hoped for, much to the little mouse's delight. Boba's timely attack saved Chi from the first attack from that overly aggressive Ekans, Ryua was relieved to see. Of course, a string of good luck couldn't last forever, and Chi's Thundershock seemed destined to be the last thing going right this round. Chi shrilled rudely as the Doduo sent her flying, then squealed as the Ekans swooped in for the attack. Too off balance to dodge it, Chi's squeak was cut off by the Wrap, her little feet kicking furiously but uselessly in the air. "Chi, since it's so determined to hold onto you, see if you can squeeze off a couple of Thundershocks." Hopefully the teeny little mouse could get enough concentration and air to send out a zap. It wasn't like it had to go far, after all. She knelt down by the Buizel, petting his head gently, trying to gauge by his frosty, damp-ish fur if he was close to moving. It shouldn't be too much longer, hopefully. Her backpack shifted as she moved, but the well padded eggs protected in it didn't seem to come to any damage. While she checked them with a careful hand, she turned her attention to her avidly pursuing Pinsir, and called, "Boba! Watch out for the Chilkit behind you, they're going to try and flank you. I want you to calm down, use Focus Energy. Then, when the time is right, use Vicegrip, and let's see if we can do some serious damage!" Hopefully the extra concentration time would help to make up for such quick, tag-teaming group of foes. Edited by Ryua, Feb 18 2010, 10:56 PM.

Overlord of Trains - GRUNTY GRUNTY GRUNTY GRUNTY

So you had a plan, it seems. I noticed the fact that Chilkit wasn't as much behind behind Boba as running away as it chased her. Doduo was behind Boba. Now then, first, Chi and Ekans. The Ekans had successfully caught your Pichu, Chi, as it struggled and squirmed to get out. You told it to use ThunderShock, and so it did. Unleashing the electricity from it's cheeks, it shocked Ekans. However, the snake kept clenching on tightly, as Chi unleashed another ThunderShock. This made Ekans forfeit it's Constriction, releasing the hold on Chi. The Pichu let out a few deep breaths. Obviously, unleashing two ThunderShock's in a row made it a little tired. "Pichu!" Chi yelled back to you quickly, telling you to give it another command. In other news, Ekans was paralyzed. Whether it was from one of the ThunderShocks or Static, who knows. It seems Buizel thawed out, as it stood up. "Bui Bui!" It yelled to you while holding it's fist up, obviously ready to get back into the action. You just needed to give it a command now. Pinsir kept chasing the Chilkit, with Doduo right behind Pinsir. It tightened it's focus with Focus Energy, ready to deal some damage. Pinsir then decided it was time to use Vicegrip, as it dove down and clenched Chilkit in it's horns, squeezing tightly. And dealing a critical hit too! After dealing damage to Chilkit, Pinsir did a smart move; It turned around and THREW Chilkit at Doduo. Doduo was going fairly fast, so it couldn't avoid as the two collided, dealing a SLIGHT bit more damage, along with leaving them stunned and open for another attack. Pinsir seemed proud of itself, as it yelled, "Pinsir!" back to you, showing that it did good. Remember, being a good trainer also means praising your Pokémon when they do something good. Helps build self confidence, you know? Of course, that's entirely up to the trainer. Ryua watched tensely as Chi struggled with the Ekans, shouting with delight as both Thundershocks hit home, even shaking the snake loose on the second attack. "Excellent, Chi! Good job hanging in there. Now, I want you to switch focus, and Thundershock that Doduo, before it does some serious damage to Boba. Go ahead and hit it twice when you get enough juice." Chi, as usual, didn't mind who she was attacking as long as she got to keep fighting, and bounded away from the Ekans, cheeks starting to spark as she built up another Thundershock. Her Buizel's enthusiastic cry was perfectly timed, just as Chi's orders were given, and Ryua turned her attention to her somewhat-neglected Pokemon. "All thawed out and ready to go, Buizel?" she asked, reflecting vaguely that she should probably name him at some point. "Okay, let's see what you can do. Use a Quick Attack on that Ekans, and see if you can hit it with a Water Gun too before it recovers." Although nowhere near as exhuberent and giddy as Chi, the Buizel bounded gamely forward, gathering speed as it aimed for the Ekans. Boba's perfectly timed toss was a beautiful thing to see, and Ryua was thrilled. "You always do have a way with your enemies, Boba," she chuckled. "Keep pressing your attack for now. See if you can knock some serious dents in that Chillkit's day, and use Vicegrip, twice if you get the chance." Boba clicked in acknowledgement and started forward, moving surprisingly fast for such a solid looking Pokemon. |

In My Little White Room Again
|
With small bits of electricity flickering before her precious cherry red round cheeks, Chi began to mellifluously hum, preparing herself mentally and psychically for her surely affective onslaught. Her dark round eyes then widened; the moment had come. Slightly bending her body forward and with her tiny paws firmly a hold of herself in a tight hug, Chi’s body became surrounded by vivid golden glow, and then the said glow shot off towards the Doduo in a jagged path –striking the duel headed bird directly. The odd creature squawked out in pain as he became engulfed in a swarm of electricity. His heads jerked from side to side, entangling his necks in one another, and his auburn feathers that lined his body and heads became ruffled from the static. As the attack slowly came to an end, the bird-like creature exhaled in pain and exhaustion, buckling over as his knees gave out. The type advantage you had on him had done wonders, but now, Chi readied herself for her second assault. As she belt up the energy to fire again, Chilkit saw it as the perfect moment to charge. She threw her body into Chi, preventing the small eclectic mouse from continuing with her attack, and the two fell onto the ground. The two of them struggled with one another on the ground, both of them trying just to get on top of the other so that they could have the advantage. But alas, in the end the wild Chilkit’s weight would overpower that of your small friend. And so, with Chi pinned to the ground by the icy fox’s forepaws, she fired a Powder Snow attack strait to her face. Happy with how she managed to save her one of her wild allies from your attack, she backed away from Chi’s quivering body, totally unaware of the colossal shadow that began to loom over her. Suddenly, the fox’s eyes widened in fear, and with a quick jerk of her head she saw what had produced the eerie shadow. Boba reared his head back ready to plunge his dagger-like pincers into the soft flesh of the snow fox. Chilkit tried her best to move out of the way, and she did manage to somehow, but in the end it would only prove to be a waste of energy –for Boba managed to clamp his pincers around her fuzzy tail. The fox screeched in pain, struggling as Boba straitened his back –lifting her off the ground. She wiggled around, trying her hardest to break free, but it was futile and only caused her more pain. With the Chilkit and the Doduo momentarily out of the picture, let’s change focus back to Ekans. Buizel, his body hyped up after being frozen for so long, charged into the Ekans with a Quick Attack. The snake hissed out as his body was slammed with the Buizel’s, but he went into action quickly –wrapping his body around the weasel like creature with constrict. Terrified that he was about to be trapped like Chi had previously had, he released a jet of water strait to the snakes face in attempt to escape. Despite the fact that he did manage to do damage to the serpent, the creature in response only tightened his body –enhancing the power of his constrict attack.

It was all going so beautifully, Chi's electrical jolts steadily draining the Doduo... Buizel's Quick Attack struck home beautifully... and then in an abrupt, unplesant turn of events, Chi was flattened. Poor Buizel was smothered in Ekans coils. Ryua was immensely proud of him for continuing to fight, managing to squeeze off a water gun even while constricted. Sadly, it didn't win his release... Time to change tactics a little, maybe tip the odds farther into her favor. "Chi, I want you to switch targets. Use Thundershock on that Chilkit, keep it occupied." The little mouse eagerly went bounding after the fox who had so proudly flattened her a moment before, sparks flying as she gathered energy. "Boba, get in there and help Buizel. Focus Energy first, so you hit exactly right, then Vice Grip on the Ekans." Clicking in acknowledgement, Boba moved forward, his pincers shifting menacingly. The Buizel, meanwhile, wasn't just gamely holding still, squirming as much as he could while bound up so tightly by the snake. "Buizel... let's see if you can get out of there, and lessen the damage to you at the same time. Growl, and try to lower that thing's attack!" As the Doduo was looking shaky, Ryua decided to give a catch a try. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a Pokeball, taking careful aim and tossing it towards the two-headed bird. |

Battle orders set, lets not faff around with meaningless mumbo-jumbo and just get down to business. So you've decided to go for a capture attempt. Enlarging the pokeball you threw it at full throttle towards the some what weakened Doduo. I can't say it went well. The Doduo bobbed it's head and thrust it back up, knocking the pokeball back towards you. Looks like it still needed to be weakened, his energy was still pretty high as well. Looks like you may need to tire him out now. Good news though, he knocked the pokeball back to you, so it can be used again. Chi was busy battling the Chilkit, who had been released from Pinsir's grip. Firing a Thundershock the Chilkit was hit with the small jolt and suddenly seemed very still, like her joints couldn't quite move properly. Looks like she had been paralysed, that was a bit of luck. Boba smiled. He began to focus his energy and rushed towards the Ekans, who was still coiled around Buizel, squeezing the life out of him. Using the Vice Grip, he cut into the Ekans with his sharp pinsirs. The Ekans gave a howl of pain but didn't relent in his Wrap attack on Buizel. Buizel started to Growl at the Ekans, to which the Ekans simply shot a Leer back, rebalancing the odds. It seemed like it was still pretty even in battle. Even though Ekans had taken a bit of damage though, which was good. You should try weakening the Doduo a little bit more if you wish to capture it. The bird pokemon darted forward and delivered a Peck on Pinsir, dealing super effective damage. Anyway this round was over, did things go your way? If not, better luck next round.

Ryua sighed, a little frustrated as the Doduo effortlessly kicked aside the Pokeball. It had been worth a try, anyway... It did look pretty perky still. She knelt down to pick up the Pokeball rolling back in her general direction. "Chi, I want you to give that Doduo one more Thundershock. Then, if you have the juice, shock that Chilkit too." She was almost tempted to get the little mouse to attack the Ekans, but she didn't want to risk injuring Buizel, especially with his weakness to electricity. She rolled the ball for a moment between her fingers as she straightened up, then took careful aim and tossed the ball again, this time aiming at the Ekans. Hopefully, it would catch, and she'd have one of the Pokemon she'd always liked. If not... well, it should at least distract the snake long enough for Buizel to break out. "Buizel, if you can get out this turn, I want you to use Sonic Boom on that Chillkit. Boba, back him up with Vice Grip. That's a tough little fox, and I don't want to underestimate it again and get any of you hurt." It would be a great addition to her team too, if she could catch it. But one Pokemon at a time. That Ekans doing it's best to squeeze the life out of her Buizel had to come first. Edited by Ryua, Apr 13 2010, 09:46 PM.

In My Little White Room Again
|
Second attempt at a capture eh? Well luckily for you this round is bound to be more beneficial to you than your previous had been, aren’t you happy? Anyways, moving on…you decided to focus most of your attention on that durable little fox you were up against rather than your Buizel who was still trying to free himself from the deadly grasp of the menacing serpent. But that was a plausible course of action that most trainers would take: to attempt and dwindle the health of the strongest Pokemon first and knock out the other weaklings later...but let’s not forget that you also had other plans for the snake in mind. Anyways, back to your current predicament! Chi began her assault on the duel headed bird with haste, firing a small blob of electricity towards him. The electrical sphere impacted into the bird’s chest with a heavy thud, causing him to squawk out in utter pain. The creature wobbled backwards, shrieking, his heads flailing up and down and all about (occasionally smacking into one another might I add) and eventually plopped down K.Oed onto the dirt floor. Bravo! One down, and now two more to go~ As you began to ready your Pokeball for capture once more, Chi turned from the fainted Doduo and fired off another blob of electricity towards the once energetic fox. Being paralyzed and all, the poor creature was totally unable to avoid the oncoming attack…hell she didn’t even see it coming, for she was cringing in pain, trying with all her might just to get her muscles to move. And so, the blast totally knocked the fox onto the ground and caused some damage (though she did manage to stand back up immediately thereafter). And now onto Buizel: he kicked and squirmed within the Ekans grasp, and with a brutal strike to the jaw he managed to free himself from the crushing grasp, allowing you to go ahead with your second attempt. You tossed out your Pokeball, probably hoping that it wouldn’t turn out into a total failure like it had last time…and so the spherical mechanism collided into the skull of the enemy, sucking him up into itself in a blur of red. The ball snapped shut, and fell onto the ground. Shake. Shake. Shake…DING~! ![]() Lvl. 7 CAUGHT Ah such a beautiful noise to the ears of a trainer, for you successfully managed to capture the Ekans and you now only had one more opponent to fret upon! So how about we see how the tables and focus on Buizel once more? He immediately fired a Sonic Boom towards the small fox, knocking her onto the ground once more. She hefted herself up, and then saw the oncoming approach of Boba with his menacing pincers. With a sudden surge of adrenaline, she fired off a Powder Snow strait at your Pinsir’s face which caused him to break off from his attack. He moved around, trying to escape the steady stream of snow that was colliding with him, but unfortunately before he could escape he had become somewhat frozen…namely his pincers. From what you could see, a layer of ice blanketed the joints that allowed his pincers to move, thus preventing him from attacking with moves such as Vicegrip (at least for now).

Ding! That wonderful, iconic sound. "Yes!" Ryua called excitedly. Now it was just down to the other two. With the Doduo unconscious, she didn't think it would put up too much of a struggle, and it also didn't seem like it was going anywhere anytime soon. Now, she didn't have a lot of experience with such fluffly Pokemon such as the Chillkit, but even through it's fur, it was looking badly worn. "Okay, guys, back off a moment," Ryua called. Grumbling, Chi reluctantly obeyed. Boba, obviously highly uncomfortable from the freezing, seemed more than willing to sit out for a few minutes, and her Buizel seemed just as agreeable as ever. She still needed a name for that thing... But down to the business at hand. First, she walked over to the Doduo, tapping it with an empty Pokeball to catch it. Then, she turned to the Chillkit warily eyeing them. "I'm very impressed, Chillkit. You've put up a spectacular fight. I'd really like you to join my team, if you would. I promise, a good long rest and a nice meal are the first things on our agenda now." She'd have preferred to talk to the other two Pokemon too, but since one was strangling her Buizel at the time of capture, and the other was currently unconscious, this was the first chance she'd got. Kneeling down, she tossed one of her remaining Pokeballs lightly towards the little fox. It rolled along the ground towards her, giving her time to get away if she really wanted to. Ryua very much hoped she didn't, it seemed meaner to catch them when they were completely unaware and unable to do anything about it. |

Derping... All Day, Every Day!

Good job catching Ekans! But you still got two more pokemon to deal with, and you already defeated the Doduo. Impressive, and very fortunate to pretty much win against all three, and attempt to catch all three. But will it be that easy!? It looks like it on the Doduo, who has fainted. As you tapped with a pokeball. Shake. Shake. One left, but you feel as if time had slowed down just for this moment. You felt a small, petty sweat drop crawl down your face. Shake. Click. You just caught the Doduo! Lv.7But you started to talk to the Chilkit, wanting to persuade her into joining your team, giving up. But the white pokemon seemed still a little resistant. But, as you thought of how mean it would be to catch them when they were unaware, you definitely were trying. The female pokemon thought about what you offered; a meal and a rest. Oh, how those things sounded so good after this exhausting fight. As the pokeball came close, she became less to resist. She walked towards it now! The round device engulfed her, and started to shake. Shake. Is this pokemon really going to be captured easily? Shake. Just one more! Don't fail now! Oh, no, it isn't shaking. Shake. Oh, you fooled me! Oh well, you caught it! Congrats! :chilkit Lv.7What a day for you! Just in this battle alone, you gained three new pokemon. Something I've never seen before. But you had extremely good luck. Don't think you can get away with it for long; Chilkit is waiting for her meal, as she is getting her rest. I don't see anything else in the area needed to take care of. Your pokemon were walking back to your side, and you should probably recall them and take them back to a Pokemon Center... and get some food. Ryua was quiet and patient until the Chilkit's ball fully sealed, then jumped up and cheered. "Yes!" she said excitedly, Chi bounding up to her shoulder burbling about how proud she was. Boba was as proud and dignified as ever, clicking his pincers proudly, nodding to Ryua when she held up his Pokeball, he was looking forward to a rest. She knelt down to talk to her Buizel next. "I'm very proud of you, Buizel. You did extremely well, and on your first battle, too! Now you can take a rest, and once we hit the Pokemon Centre, we'll go find a good place to spend the night and have a long meal, okay?" She held up Buizel's ball too, recalling the little water type. "You know, Chi, you could always learn to go inside your Pokeball too," she said, standing up and heading back to the town. Chi burbled to her, something along the lines of ~Nah, it's more fun to be carried around!~ Not wanting to take any chances being attacked again with a team of mostly fainted Pokemon, Ryua took the most open, least grassy way back to Nogou, heading directly for the Pokemon Center. After a quick stop over there to heal up her Pokemon, she headed back just outside of the city. Nogou might be pretty small and natural by human standards, but Ryua didn't want to freak out her newly acquired team by letting them out of their Pokeballs in a room somewhere. Chi got to eat first, on account of being loud and demanding. Plus, she was cute, and might put her new Pokemon at ease about the food. Ryua released the Chilkit from it's Pokeball, sitting down on the ground. "Hello. Are you feeling better? I did promise you a meal," she said, pushing a plate of Pokemon food (special carnivore version!) a little ways towards the fluffy white fox. |

Derping... All Day, Every Day!

So you just caught new additions to the team, and they were actually returned to you through the poketch, a technical error had happened. Equipped with more pokemon, you might be safer when returning to the future areas of fights. You went back, healed, and were out again. This time, you were necessarily looking for a battle, but fulfilling your promise to the Chilkit, as well as satisfying the rest of your team. You gave Chi, the Pichu, food first. She munched on it for some time before watching you release the white furred pokemon, Chilkit. "Chi." The pokemon that just appeared seem to try to communicate, seeing how it was healed and had a rest. Maybe she was telling you that you were doing good. But she seen the plate comes towards her. "Chi." She mumbled, sniffing the food. It was just the right kind; she started eating when she seen Chi start nibbling. Being outside feeding your pokemon, you were a sitting target. You can't deny it. Any pokemon wanting some good would love to come in and get some. But you looked around and noticed none. Well, not none, but nothing coming your way. Some bird pokemon flew over your head, and a few Rattata or Seedot marched through a section of grass. Nothing looked threatening. "Pi." A pokemon's voice sounded from your other side. You turned and seen a Pidgey, a bird pokemon. She was a Flying type, as well as Normal. A good addition to a team who don't yet have a flying pokemon. Upon seeing this female Pidgey, you took an interest in her. But what did she want? The food, or a battle? You couldn't tell with some pokemon out here, but this pokemon didn't attack or seem aggressive. Pokemon in Area ![]() Level 8Edited by Kazuki, May 7 2010, 08:33 PM.
