Ryua's journey

( this is a joint journey of Ryua and Doragon, just so everyone knows )
As you stepped onto the streets of Nogou Village, you could feel a fresh breeze lightly wrap around your ankles and cool you. Nogou Village is one of the region's principle cities because of its economic purpose in Alternia. The village of Nogou was the top producer of food for the region. So basically you made a good choice in selecting your city; lets just try not to get you into any trouble while your here.

It was a wonderous day to start a Journey. The sky was clear and not a thing could go wrong. It was although the world was at peace and nothing wrong could ever happen. Otherwise a perfect time to start a Journey.

Anyway, there are many things that you can do here. Go to the park, look for a job, you could even look for pokemon that inhabit urban areas. Though, some pokemon like Grimer aren't always nice to have around. However, there are plenty of other things to do as well including finding another pokemon trainer and battling him or her for glory, honor, and the right to rub it in their face if your opponent loses. Remember though, battling is just as much physical as it it mental. Fair warning if you choose the path of the warmongerer. In fact look over there I see a Charmander (doragon ) coming towards you. It looked ready for a fight and was probably coming towards you because of that reason. Wanna take this thing on?

"Oh, well done, Chi!" Ryua said as Chi's Thundershock hit squarely home, doing decent damage. The little Pichu squealed in glee, then let out a highly displeased squack as the Lotad retaliated with a Tackle. Although she tumbled quite a bit, most of that was just for show, and she rolled to her feet squalling. If one could speak Pichuese, one would probably be slightly horrified at the language coming out of her adorable little mouth, but since they couldn't, the battle would simply continue. Perhaps the Lotad would understand the dirty words. Perhaps not.

Either way, Chi was itching to get back into battle, and Ryua was willing to oblige her. "Okay, Chi, I want you to give her another Thundershock. Send that Lotad right back on it's behind." As Chi was charging up for another attack, Ryua said, "Once you're done that, give yourself a moment to charge back up, and use a Tail Whip, get her more vulnerable." Chi certainly seemed enthusiastic, loosing a Thundershock, then dropping back into her cuteness again, waggling her little tail, distracting and confusing the Lotad into being less defensive.

An Androgynous trainer? What exactly is that? Looking into a dictionary, one would read the definition of the word as: being both male and female. Wait, so this trainer is either A)Drag Queen, B)Bi-curious or C)He/she. Yes, the trainer was a he/she, a hermaphrodite to be exact. You never really think you'd see those in Pokemon, do you? Kind of just thought I'd clear that up for those of you who were confused. Yes, Pokemon, something that is usually Rated "G" has been dropped to Rated "R". Somehow, we have found a way to piss off the FCC even more. Then again, there was no discrimination in Pokemon, seeing how Brock is some kind of minority. (I think he's Mexican at heart though, me and my friends always debate if he's black or just some kind of dark Asian person....This is my failed attempt at humor.)Anyhow, let's get back to the battle.

Thundershock came towards Lotad at a great pace, the Lotad, once again, unable to dodge the attack. Fortunate enough for him, he was able to stand his ground this time and endured the attack completely. Though it hadn't look like the Lotad suffered any damage at all, it did suffer damage, and decent damage at that. "That's it, sweetie!" the androgynous trainer said, cheering his Pokemon on. "Show that Pichu who's boss. Lotad, use Nature Power!"

"Lotad!" the Water Weed Pokemon said, as it began to summon it's energy and power. Nature Power was an attack that varied depending on the location of the battle. Normally, it would be a Swift attack however, because this battle was being fought in Nogou Village, a grassy area, the attack would be Seed Bomb. Though, Pichu did try to stop the Pokemon or at least move it with Tail Whip, it was very unsuccessful and failed miserably. Instead, Lotad gathered his energy together and quickly. He then focused himself and opened it's mouth wide. Inside it's mouth, a seed-shaped ball of light grew and glowed. "Lotad!!!!" the Water Weed Pokemon cried in battle, as it shot a Seed Bomb at Pichu.

As Pichu looked in slight horror, or rather discontent, having probably never seen a move like this, it remained on standby to hear it's trainer's commands. Will it dodge or will it be hit? Perhaps Pichu wasn't fast enough to evade the attack?

OOC- Hermaphrodites are fun. So are R ratings. *shot*

"Alright, Chi. I want you to use all your speed and smallness, and try your best to dodge that attack," Ryua called. She was a little nervous setting her lower-levelled Pichu up against the obviously well-trained Lotad, but hopefully her luck would hold, and Chi would be able to attack well, and dodge enough to come out victorious. The Pikachu line was naturally agile though, and Pichu was the smallest, so hopefully that would translate into very hard to hit. "Once you have a free moment, I want you to hit that thing with another couple of Thundershocks. Keep knocking down it's health."

With any luck, Chi would completely evade the blast. But even if she couldn't, the little mouse had enough spirit to want to come up swinging... or rather, sparking, in her case. And two attacks, right quick in succession, should hopefully be enough to do a fair bit of damage, get Chi more solidly in the lead. But first things first, which meant the glowing Seed Bomb about to be realeased on the Pichu.

Chi watched the Lotad carefully, the leapt, hopefully in the right direction to avoid the attack, or at least the worst of it. She was charging electricity even as she leapt, so she'd be able to attack as soon as possible.

"Pokémon" came from "Pocket Monster" - Scary
This is one weird journey, alright. You're battling a trainer who's male and female? Now, that doesn't happen often. Let's just see what you make of this, after all, whether your opponents a girl or boy or both, you're still going to show him/her what's what, right?

So, Chi leaped wildly to the side in an attempt to dodge the Seed Bomb, while charging up energy at the same time. Smart. Lucky for you, her dodge worked, and the attack missed altogether. Before your opponent could give his/her next commands, Chi released her charge at the Lotad using a Thunder Shock. The Lotad happened to still be waiting for her commands, so had her back faced towards its attacker, and the blow hit full on. Seeing as an Electric move is super effective against water but not very effective against grass, the damage was just normal - but it was a good hit all the same.

Angry, the trainer shouted, "Lotad, what was that? Use Astonish, now!" With a nod, the Lotad attemped to scare Chi into flinching. Damage was done, but your Pichu managed to stay relaxed and not tense up so badly she couldn't move. You were really beginning to bug the man/lady now, so in fact, she was the one who tensed up, stopping her from making another command, leaving the Lotad there like a sitting, uh, Psyduck?

Anyhow, Pichu took the chance to use yet another Thunder Shock at the Lotad, leaping up high into the air as she did so. The Lotad turned just in time to see a bolt of electricity darting towards her, and somehow managed to get out of the way. Before you groan with annoyance though, it dodged by jumping into the air even more wildly then your dodge at the start of this round, and landed right on its lilypad of a head. Ouch.

So, that round didn't go too badly, did it? You managed to hit the Lotad with a Thunder Shock and get it to land on its head, and the only damage done to you was an Astonish, and you didn't even flinch. Perhaps this Lotad wasn't that well trained after all. Or maybe you're just lucky. Or both. ....or you're just hallucinating after you were knocked out.

Ryua flinched slightly by reflex when she saw her little Pichu get hit with an Astonish. While it was a solid hit though, and made the trainer wince, Chi didn't let it affect her for a moment. In fact, after taking the damage with surprising stamina for such a cute little creature, she leapt right back into action, literally. And while that last attack missed... hey, it DID trip up the Lotad. Hopefully, that would give the Pichu the advantage in the next round.

"Alright, Chi!" Ryua called, delightedly. "Use the advantage while you have it, and Thundershock that Lotad while it's unable to escape." Chi trilled happily and charged up, squeezing her cheeks, the sparks building into a full jolt of electricity. As soon as she attacked, Ryua warned, "Keep moving though, don't let that Lotad catch you standing still. When you have enough of a charge built up, use another Thundershock, try and keep the upper hand." The Pichu obediently went into motion after she finished her attack, since theoretically a moving target was harder to hit. Her teeny, short legs were surprisingly quick at getting her moving, and being so short, even if she fell over, it wasn't exactly a big deal to get up again.

Yeah, so…This Lotad wasn’t too happy that it was stranded on its own head, flailing about miserably while you were still able to move. I’m sure it was jealous of Chi, also, but hey, not your fault. Either way, its trainer, who was still gender ambiguous for reasons unknown was clearly not happy with this and made desperate calls for the Lotad to get up. See, I didn’t list exactly what s/he said only because…well…it alternated between something really manly and something really effeminate so it wouldn’t have helped determining their gender.

ANYWAY

With the battle at hand, Chi leapt into action and performed yet another Thundershock, the immobile enemy having to flail there and take it as it came. This was the problem with Pokémon shaped like that, but oh well. Either way, Chi noticed that even with this free attack, the Lotad was still unable to move, and let loose another one, scoring another hit but at the same time, knocking the Lotad over, which was when it used Hyper Beam. No, it didn’t really, but it did use Nature Power, which because of your environment, turned into Swift! Tiny stars shot out from Lotad’s bill and pummelled Chi, knocking her onto her rump to end the round.

"Yes!" Ryua called, delighted as Chi's first thundershock struck home. The elated Pichu wasted no time in charging up for another bolt. Sadly, it was a little too ambitious and knocked the Lotad over again, which opened up a chance for the foe to attack. Chi shrieked in protest as the swift hit home, stinging terribly.

She hit the ground and rolled, scrabbling to her feet. A little unsteady, she took a moment to push back up onto her hind legs. Once she was there though, she started squalling in a horrifyingly angry manner, and sparks were already gathering at her cheeks. Hurriedly, Ryua called out "Thundershock!" ... although it was pretty obvious that's what Chi was going to do anyway. "Keep it up a little while longer, Chi. That Lotad's seriously hurting now, you've almost got it. Go ahead and give it another one." Chi certainly seemed willing to go at it, bounding forward to get a better angle for her second Thundershock.

The questionable gender of the other trainer was mentioned several times, and yes, it is very odd that he/she was in a world where ten year olds start on their journey, but putting the idea of him/her aside, what about Chi’s foul mouth. The adorable little electric mouse was cursing up a storm, her little mouth yelling out her name as her eyes seemed to be lit with a fire of its own accord, but what was more interesting was that the little Pichu’s anger made it excited. You know what they say, right? Wait, you don’t? Well, they say that a foul mouthed Pichu bites twice as hard, but, in this case, it has a sting of a shock to boot!

Looking back to the battle, you can’t help but notice that the other trainer was also angry, his/her eyes also vehement while he/she thought up of his/her next attack. He/she looked a little lame trying to think, but after a moment, he/she figured that it was time for his/her Lotad to attack. “Lotad, sweety, I want you to use your gorgeous little absorb attack, and then hit that ugly little Pichu with a Nature Power.” His/her voice was irritating, full of an ego that needed to be deflated, but her words were able to hit their mark.

Only, it wasn’t you, the trainer, that got annoyed, it was your Pichu. The little electric mouse got so aggravated that it dodged the Lotad’s attack and sent a small shock of electricity at the Lotad. The absorb would would have allowed the Lotad to heal a little energy, but dodging the attack allowed the Pichu to not only dodge, but to rub her cheeks in a cute little manner and send the little electric shock at the other trainer’s Pokemon for a second time. Having opened her mouth to let out Seed Bomb, the electric shock hit the Lotad’s mouth, hitting the nerves on the roof of her body and doing a great deal of damage. Not only this, but the Lotad was pushed back, picking up some sand that pelted her trainer. While you can’t do damage to a trainer, it was funny to see him/her get pelted with sand. However, the Lotad was able to release a little of the Seed Bomb, but the unfocused attack did minor damage to your Chi.

You’re getting pretty good at this!

(That was an awesome first ref, Moose! Creative and amusing to boot.)

Ryua was rather glad she couldn't quite speak Chu-ish fluently. One didn't really need to know the exact words to know what that little Pichu was saying, though. It did seem to give Chi a delightful morale boost, though, as her first Thundershock hit home with a nasty zap. The trainer watched in delight as Chi danced right past the Absorb, not losing momentum in the slightest as she charged up another electric bolt.

She flinched slightly when the tail end of the seed bomb contacted with Chi's little frame. She always looked so little when being attacked, but the little mouse seemed to roll with the hit alright, coming up swinging, or rather, sparking. Ryua knew she must be getting tired by this point, but Chi certainly still seemed game, and that Lotad looked about ready to collapse. "Okay, Chi. I think we've almost got it now. Squeeze off another Thundershock, and see if that won't knock that Lotad out of the game." Chi was already attacking even as Ryua spoke, and Ryua was vaguely glad she hadn't been saying anything of great importance, in case Chi didn't even hear her. "Hopefully this one should do it, but keep ready to attack again if you need to!" she called, as Chi's bolt struck out at the Lotad.

With one final strain and something uttered by Chi that would immediately make this board in breach of the PG-13 limit, lighting was discharged from her cheeks and struck down the Lotad. As she landed after the attack, she eyed off the charred yet fainted body of the water/grass type. With confused and misplaced squeal from the he/she, the Lotad’s trainer recalled it and proceeded to wail at how mean you are. This was followed by Chi delivering a series of Pichu-Tongue related vulgarities that when translated to the human language equalled a giant middle finger to this other trainer. Clearly, he/she did not understand what Pichu had said, but ran off crying non-the-less, throwing some coins at you as they departed.

With that, the battle with the gender confused trainer came to an end. No more will you be troubled by having to distinguish the gender of your opponents. However, Chi seemed to gain quite a few levels from that battle, so if you keep this up, you’ll have a super team in no time! But, now, I assume your first stop would be the Pokémon Center so you can heal up your Pichu, but I’m sure that given time Chi would be fine. You have other Pokémon, and even two eggs, so the path ahead was definitely your call. Hey, I’m sure something interesting would happen in town eventually if you waited, but if you wanted to catch Pokémon, the world is where you must search.

BATTLE WON!

Chi gains 16 :exp !

Ryua bounced slightly with excitement as Chi's final attack hit home, wiping the Lotad out. "Beautifully done, Chi!" she called delightedly. She wasn't sure if Chi was listening or not, though, since she was in the middle of swearing her cute little head off. Still, after dodging several coins, which Ryua added to her inventory, Chi had calmed down enough to be ready for her congratulations. Strutting up and looking completely pleased with herself, Chi burbled plesantly, waving her cute little arms to be picked up.

Well, defeating a trained Lotad with a two level advantage certainly did deserve a little attention. Ryua scooped Chi up, rubbing her ears and telling her what a good little Pichu she was. Chi scrambled up to Ryua's shoulder, babbling away, giving a Pichu-ese blow-by-blow description of how awesome she'd been in the battle. While Chi seemed in perfectly high spirits, Ryua didn't want her to get worn out in the middle of the wilderness, and decided to make just a quick trip back to the Pokemon centre before heading off.

After getting Chi revitalized, Ryua's plans were to head out along Route 1, and start exploring the region a little more.

After a fairly brief trip to the Pokemon Center, you set off out to the wide world of Route 1. So it wasn’t really a wide world, but you get the idea. It was big, in comparison you were small, and there were many a Pokemon to be found here. So, after your foul-mouthed but still pretty awesome Pichu were set, you headed on down the road. Unfortunately, this road wasn’t yellow or made of bricks, so I’m fairly certain the road ahead of you was predetermined. What was however was what I choose to make happen, and so this will happen.

After about 5 minutes of walking down Route 1, you find yourself in the odd position of watching a squabble between two Pokemon. On one side was a snake, an Ekans, and the other was a Doduo. Here’s the back story: The Doduo had said something, or at least one of its heads had, and the Ekans didn’t like it. So, while the other head tried to calm down the snake and reason with it, the head that said the thing to start the argument fought with the snake, trying to defend its honor or something. It was interesting, however, as soon as you entered the scene, they both stopped and turned on you as a common enemy. Guess wild Pokemon didn’t like trainers, and considering you were one…Need I say more? Better get ready, cause here they come!

For the time being I am retired from Alternia. Due to the nature of my work, I've become very busy and time here is hard to find. I shall return eventually however.

After being healed up, Chi was in a quite cheerful mood, burbling cheerfully as she rode on Ryua's head, holding teeny fist-fulls of the woman's hair to help keep her balance. It was good to get out of the town, and Ryua was enjoying the pleasant weather, when the sounds of an odd squabble intruded. When she got a little closer, she could pick out the sound of an Ekans' hissing, and started to get excited. She had always wanted one of the snake Pokemon. When they got closer, Chi's little ears pricking as she listened intensely to the arguement (Probably trying to pick up some choice new words), Ryua was just as excited to see the Doduo.

The two-headed little creature was fascinating to watch, with such obviously different personalities in each head. In fact, she got so caught up in watching that she wasn't quite paying attention to where she was, and ended up downwind of the wild Pokemon. They turned to face her, and Chi's quiet burbling turned to excited squeals as she bounded down Ryua's body, eager to fight. "Chi! Haven't you had enough for one day? Ohhhh.... fine." But if Chi wanted to fight, she wasn't going to do it all unmatched. Although Boba could use the exercise, he'd be facing type disadvantages from both enemy Pokemon. Time to give her new Pokemon a try... "Alright, Buizel. Come on out!" She tossed the Pokeball out beside Chi, , causing it to open and the cute little weasel Pokemon to appear.

This seems like a good matchup for you. Pichu and Buizel versus Doduo and Ekans. Pichu has a type advantage against Doduo. Anyway, it seemed like the Doduo and Ekans came to a truce, if only temporarily, to attack you. As you sent out your Pokémon, the two enemy Pokémon, Doduo and Ekans, kind of laughed. The Doduo head, the one that probably originally started the fight between the two, seemed to start trash talking Chi. The Pichu got a little riled up, yelling some specific things.

Well, before Doduo or Ekans could attack, everyone heard something yelling. . . Well, something. "Chil!" Is what was heard. Everyone's eyes momentarily darted to the left, as they saw some white thing running towards the group. Before any reaction was possible, the thing opened it's mouth, as a cool mist started unleashing. Soon, it became more, and it became Powder Snow, as your Buizel was blasted with the attack. While it didn't do a lot of damage, it seems your Buizel is now frozen. In snow and ice.

The creature reached the group. The Doduo, Ekans, and strange white thing exchanged greetings. Apparently they were friends. Chi just looked at you with a strange face, wondering what to do. You forgot to give commands to your Pokémon too. They were basically sitting ducks right now. . . Well, Buizel is. The Doduo, Ekans, and apparently a Chilkit finished exchanging greetings, and it seems they were ready to attack. Giving orders would be good, yeah.

"Ah, kriff," Ryua grumbled. Buizel getting frozen was exactly the wrong thing to occur at that moment in time. She normally would attack hard off the bat... but with three Pokemon against, and one ally frozen, she needed to use a different strategy. "Chi, I want you to start in by using Charm. Just be as adorable as you possibly can!" Chi, although she would probably prefer to just electrocute the lot of them, obligingly hopped forward, using every bit of her cuteness to try and disarm the opponents. Her eyes sparkled. Her ears twitched. Her fur fluffed. It was almost a sickening amount of adorableness.

Ryua thought a moment, then, dropped her hand to her belt for Boba's Pokeball. She was worried, as he had an unpleasant type disadvantage... but he was solid and reliable. And her poor Buizel needed a time out to defrost. "Boba! You're up!" she called, tossing out the ball. Her Pinsir resolved out of a flash of red light, focusing immediately on the battle. "I need you to use Vicegrip, Boba. Go after that Ekans over there, see if you can keep it from eating Chi in one bite. Use it again when you get a chance, let's start evening the odds."

Chi was winding down from her Charm, and Ryua turned to her next. "Chi, hit that Doduo with a Thundershock! Take it out, girl." She didn't want her Buizel getting injured while it was such a sitting duck... but neither did she want to retreat it entirely, as it might re-thaw soon. She carefully picked him up, taking him out of the way of the battle and setting him down beside her. Hopefully that would be enough to keep him out of range of the combat. She kept his Pokeball ready though, in case the Pokemon kept attacking him.
