Rainbows and sunshine.
As you stepped onto the streets of Millenia, you could not help but feel a tough of excitment, a whole new world is at your doorstep, hypotheticly speaking. Millenia is one of the region's principle cities because of its economic purpose in Alternia. Millenis Town is located near the ses, of course since your were staring right a tthe ocean you already knew that. Wingull glided here and there followed by the ocassional Pelliper, and Goldeen splashed about in the waves of the spakling water surface. Around the area many houses stood with large windows facing the sea no doubt to catch the majestic view, here and there was a shop selling eith fresh produce or some form of gadget. There was also an icecream vendor with his cart handing some kids a frozen treat in the shape of a staryu with a bublegum ball for the jewel. Millenia seemed like a nice, peaceful town to begin your journey, good choice.

On the beach, which just so happened to be visible from where you were standing, a group of girls in bikinis lay on their stomachs tanning their already taught and taned tokus. Boys mostly in board shorts, some in wetsuits and others in speedos jumped around and splashed each other. There was one boy however, about your age who sat under an umbrella reading a guidebook, there was a Meowth curled up by his side sleeping, he was wearing a blue shirt and a pair of black boardshorts. It was a bit hot in the sun, the water looked enticing and so did the icecreams. But would you sucumb to the heat?

Anyway, there are many things that you can do here. Go to the beach and join in with one of the groups or talk to the reading boy or the girls, look for a job, you could even look for pokemon that inhabit urban areas, of treat yourself ot an ice cream. However, there are plenty of other things to do as well including finding another pokemon trainer and battling him or her for glory, honor, and the right to rub it in their face if your opponent loses. Remember though, battling is just as much physical as it it mental. Fair warning if you choose the path of the warmongerer. In fact look over there I see a rather hungry looking Rattata and its eyeing you.

:rattata :male Lv. 5

So yes, WELCOME TO ALTERNIA.

Maji was amazed by the effect of his Budew's attack, it had done more damage than he'd expected and Geodude was knocked out with just two hits. "Wow," He said simply as he looked at his Budew, tired from the attack as she panted heavily, not only that but her leg was frozen and she couldn't move. "Anastasia, I just want you to relax for now and try to get yourself unstuck." He ordered before turning over to his Rattata.

"Damien, release the Zigzagoon's tail!" He ordered, and immediately the rat followed orders running back over to Maji with a cold and still partly frozen leg. He was doing great in this battle, amazingly great truthfully. "Okay, Zigzagoon is already starting to go down. So this turn let's do our best to finish it off alright? I want you to use Quick Attack to ram into it, and then using that same speed jump into the air and come down on it with your tail. If it still isn't done after that use another Quick Attack." He ordered, if this didn't finish the zigzagoon off, then he'd just have to finish the pokemon off the next turn. He then looked over to Anastasia and smiled.

"Anastasia, if he can't knock Zigzagoon out on his own, send just a few leaves from Leaf Storm at Zigzagoon and finish this battle." He explained, it wasn't a hard thing to do and even if she wasn't able to get unstuck, she'd definately be able to release the attack. Of course, she'd probably be incredibly tired by the end of it and need a good nights rest before the next act.

This little tidbit may have been missed by the other refs, but pointing it out could be fun. Your Rattata is named Damian, which is also the name of Lucifer's son. Just thought it was a tad bit ironic, considering the general views of the little purple rats. Regardless, the battle is more important than my little ramblings. So, shall we?

The battle had been reduced to a two on one in your favor, so this should be quick work for your duo. Your opponent finally gave up on Geodude and recalled her. He then turned to his Zigzagoon, saying, "Alright, lets do this right. Stop that Rattata in his tracks with Ice Beam and then send him flying with Tackle. Go!" Of course, playing by the rules of not having insight into your opponent's strategy, this might be one interesting round.

Damian started things off with a Quick Attack, just like you asked. He ran like a blur along the ground, not allowing Zigzagoon any openings. You could see the little raccoon's head moving back and forth, trying to keep a bead on your rat. Finally, Rattata hit and went up into the air. He lost some speed and gave the opportunity Zigzagoon was looking for. The Ice Beam was launched, and narrowly missed. Rather, it hit his tail, freezing it solid. Oh, the cruel irony continues, since you asked for Damian to Strike with his tail. This will surely do more damage to your opponent. Zigzagoon only watched in amazement as Rattata came down and clocked him on the head. The ice shattered and splintered, freeing Damian from its cold grip.

At this point, Zigzagoon looked like he was about to collapse, whether from damage or concussion. Although, Damian gave no breaks in his spree. He landed and ran right in with another Quick Attack. Zigzagoon hit the ground hard and was promptly knocked out. Congradulations, Budew and Rattata both gained 50 :exp , raising them up to Lv 6.

Jack looked shocked that he lost, but realized that the better man won today. He recalled his Pokemon and walked up to you. He said, "That was some battle. Maybe we can do this again some time. No hard feelings?" He held his hand out to you, expecting you to shake it. As you did, he dug into his pockets and pulled out a few crumpled bills and handed them to you. Expecting some kind of denial, Jack said, "You earned it, so take it." He then turned and walked away, leaving you holding $50 in small bills.

Well, a short ending to that skit, but there is still an epilogue. As you were about to go your own way, something shiny in the grass caught your eye. You walked over and found a disk marked TM 45. As you studied it for a moment, something else in the grass was more noticable. There was an egg sitting there, nestled next to a bush. It appeared be all alone, so it might be best to take it too. This turned out to be quite the lucky day for you. So, maybe it's time to head to the Pokemon Center and rest up, but that's all up to you. What will you do now?

♣Alternia♣

Having just finished up his battle, Maji headed back into the pokemon center from the "Back Yard Battle" on his way, he'd encountered two things which seemed rather rare. The first being a different variety of two items which he already had, a TM disc. Scanning the TM Disc he found, along with those he'd had before, he realized that he could easily teach his pokemon Energy Ball, Steel Wing, and Attract if the time came when it was necessary. It would definately be a great use later, but as for now he'd keep them a secret.

Though, the second item he'd come across caught his attention a whee-bit more than the first though. A small pokemon egg, maybe the size of his head, was sitting in the grass. "Amazing," He said as he picked up the little egg, took off his beanie, and wrapped it up nice and warm. With the new egg in his arms, and the TMs all hidden away in his bag, Maji searched his pockets for the room key he'd recieved earlier in the day and headed up to his room.

In the safety of his bedroom, Maji happily released his pokemon once again; this time, he did so in order to bathe the dirty little battlers. First off was his star actress, Anastasia, followed by his leading man, Damien. Bathing both of them so they were nice and clean, Maji remembered the egg he'd found back before entering the pokemon center and tried to remember something about making a pokemon egg hatch quicker. "Putting it in hot water is definately not a smart idea," He said to himself as he turned the bath water off to let it cool some before grabbing a towel from nearby, soaking it some, straining it, and then folding it as he polished the egg.

After the bathing of his pokemon, it was Maji's turn to bathe. As he bathed, he thought of the day and what he would do the following day. He planned on doing some fishing, but couldn't really risk putting the egg in danger, not at this point. "Bud?" Anastasia peaked in with a yawn as Maji stepped out of the steam-filled bathroom fully clothed in warm sleeping clothes, his hair looking rather dark from the wetness as he dried it off with a clean towel.

That was when he saw Damien, his tail was coiled around the egg protectively. "Ratta!" He hissed when Maji looked over at them, and at that time he thought up a plan. "Damien, do you want to stay with the egg? Do you want to keep it warm during the night?" He questioned, grabbing his beanie from off of his own bed, placing it back over the egg for warmth while Damien nodded. With that, Maji smirked and moved the egg to the opposite bed where Damien and Anastasia followed and covered themselves in a thin blanket, keeping the egg nice and warm.

From then on, Maji and his pokemon slept through the night to wake up the following morning.

The next Morning

Maji awoke the following morning to the sights of a new day in Alternia's fabulous Millenia city. Looking towards his pokemon (still nested around the egg) he knew it was in good hands. Attempting not to wake them, he dressed himself and grabbed his items, recalling both of his resting pokemon before wrapping the egg up in the blanket from the previous night and heading downstairs to get a fresh start on the new day.
Carrying the egg in his arms, he planned out his day mentally. He hoped to start off onto one of the routes today, possibly get some training in and head to a city up north that was supposed to have some promising herbal stores and woodsy landmarks that he could appreciate.

Your path from Millenia Town via Route Five was relatively uneventful as you approached Joukai pass, and for awhile it appeared that training simply wasn't in the cards for you today. It was still the morning, so the usual suspects were out-- there were a few Surskit gliding over a nearby pond, and some Magbys were out basking in the early sun, but the route was nonetheless uneventful. As far as other people on the route, there were no trainers; only a couple of joggers were out alone, and probably wouldn't appreciate being accosted by a complete stranger asking for a battle. This was possibly a blessing in disguise, as uneventful is at least better than busy and overcrowded. Today, there wasn't anyone to shove an elbow into your gut and knock your egg to the floor, and there was just the sound of your footsteps against the somewhat rough terrain to keep you company.

About one hundred yards from the pass, you grew distracted, began to daydream, and glanced innocently to your left. All you could see were a couple of uninteresting wild Pokemon, but Anastasia was more interested, stopping in her path to follow the trail of these Pokemon. Before you could yell out at her to return to your side and continue down the path, she ran, enraptured, in the direction of the game that this lonely Pokemon was playing by himself. He was a playful, inventive creature, whose great imagination that was on display would make a great screenwriter or storyboard designer to add to your film crew.

Right now, it was nearly impossible to tell exactly where his imagination was taking him, but it must have been somewhere fun. He was standing over a pond, his trunk submerged into the water as he peered up through the giant ears coyly covering his face. Three Diglett were in front of him, trying to enjoy the morning sun, but every time that any of the moles would stick their heads above the terrain, the elephant would spray them with a little blast of water, forcing the Diglett back underground to dry off. Directly afterword then lower her head and whistle to himself or blow bubbles into the pond, as if he was pretending to be innocent of any offense, yet quietly laughing to himself. The Diglett were upset but too tired and lacking too much energy to return fire. Yes, this wild Pokemon was playing a very literal game of whack-a-mole with his fellow Ground-types, and was having the time of his life.

If you continued down your path to Joukai, you would bypass the scenario easily, and not have to think twice about the wild Pokemon, but.... where else are you going to find a more camera-ready Pokemon in all of Alternia?

♣Alternia♣

Having walked a fair distance along Route 5, a route that was supposed to have powerful pokemon, Maji was a little disappointed to have run in to absolutely no pokemon. When he was just about to give up searching for them, he noticed Anastasia beginning to run off.

Maji chased after his adventurous little budew, Damien close behind, and the egg pressed firmly against his chest as to not drop it. He then noticed his Budew stop and he slowed down, meeting her soon enough and then noticing a playful and obviously imaginative little Phanpy playing by a lake. "Anastasia, don't run off like that." He said, still looking at the Phanpy as it sprayed a few diglett near it.

He began to laugh then as he neared the lake a bit more. The Phanpy seemed to be enjoying itself, but the Diglett seemed to be getting just a whee-bit upset from being soaked. "Guys, are you up for maybe recruiting a new ally? Or atleast just making a new friend?" Maji said, reaching into his bag for some pokemon food as he neared the Phanpy more.

"Do you want some?" He offered the Phanpy when he drew close enough, holding it out in his hand for the little pokemon to come and get. It was then that he noticed Anastasia and Damien running towards a shallow end of the water, beginning to splash one another playfully while he talked to the Phanpy. He smiled at his two pokemon, happily enjoyinh life by the water, and then a thought struck him, why not invite Phanpy to play with his pokemon. "Hey, Phanpy, how about you come and play with my pokemon so those Diglett can get some sleep?" He said, noting the tired look of the Diglett.

He then thought, Why not offer those diglett to join in too? and his eyes closed, a more inviting smile coming to his face. "Diglett, you can all join in too. What's better than waking up and making some new friends, right?" He invited, "The more the marrier!"

So with that, he waited for the response from all four Ground-Type pokemon, hoping to keep this encounter as pleasant as possible without the need to enter battle. None the less, if battle did break out he'd probably do what he did with Damien and attack once, and then offer them entrance to his team.

(I just realized that this is my 100th post!)

The Diglett were none too pleased by your request, and looked at each other, tired, cranky, and wet. Imagine the daily life of a mole for a second, where the routine is as follows, morning to night: wake up, hunt, dig, sleep. Today was a remarkably poor day for them, too, and they haven't been fully able to complete the "waking up" action, instead receiving a blast of icy pond water to the face every time they surfaced for air. Their cranky moods were only exacerbated when you approached the Phanpy and were nice to it... if you were his friend, then you were their enemies, and they didn't take kindly to enemies. They responded just how you would have expected cowardly foes to respond, quickly burrowing back into their holes, and decided that they would rather get more sleep than deal with a group of restless Pokemon like the Phanpy.

Your new friend was very theatrical, clearly, and answered to your invitation with a deep bow and a loud, quick honk that sounded like an elephant's laugh. He grabbed your hand with his trunk, shook it, and quickly used the momentum to jump onto your shoulders, unaware of how painful his 75 pound frame could be on your body. The situation was like giving a heavy kid a piggy-back ride, but at least the elephant was enjoying himself. A second later, though, he impatiently lifted up his trunk in front of your face, as if to signal "Give me a second." Following that, he leaped from your shoulders, and the extra pressure of his weight coupled with his jump attempt was nearly enough to lose control of your egg, although your dexterity was too good for that.

Phanpy was in the air for what seemed like forever, and when he dropped, it appeared as if the ground sucked him right into itself like quicksand. Confused, Damien rushed quickly over to the point where the Phanpy landed, and also fell straight into the ground, seemingly losing his footing before being sucked into the hole. He jumped out a few seconds later and stumbled over to your side a bit scratched up, and in a series of quick words (all of which were a variation of "Rattata," obviously) attempted to describe what exactly happened. You couldn't understand his dialect, but the situation was increasingly becoming more clear... and you could deduce the origin of the hole he had fallen into. Damien was trying to tell you that the Phanpy and Diglett were wrestling inside the moles' tunnels, a place no Pokemon has ever gone before, and the Phanpy wasn't winning the unbalanced three vs. one battle.

The elephant was just trying to be playful, sure, but wrestling down a group of three moles is a lot less fun when those three moles are restless and upset. Anastasia and you looked into the hole and could see the blurs of blue and brown, representing the four fighting Pokemon, and while the fight wasn't entirely brutal, the usually excitable Phanpy was unusually upset. Anastasia turned up to you with a confused expression on her face, knowing that she could easily take out the three Diglett with Leaf Storm, but afraid that she would also knock out the Phanpy in turn, not wanting to hurt the quirky elephany. This was a time where strategy was key, and it is now important to quickly describe what to do in order to save your fun, loving friend.

Maji was excited when he realized Phanpy wasn't going to put up a fight. Happily he felt the wait of the elephant on his back and tried not to show pain as he carried it around for a little while before it jumped off.

When he looked back to see where the blue elephant went he saw nothing, except his Rattata starting to sink into the ground a moment later. After time, Damien leapt out of the ground and began chipping out his name rapidly, apparently trying to explain something to Damien which he only caught on to when he saw a blue and brown blur in the hole near them. "Anastasia, I need you, quick!" He ordered, and soon enough the Budew was at his side, looking down into the hole aswell.

"Phanpy, don't worry just listen to my voice." He stated down into the hole, hoping that his voice would echo through the caverns. Not only that, but he hoped Phanpy would be willing to listen to his next set of words as he again began calling down into the hole. "Phanpy, use Defense Curl in order to heighten your defense and get as far away from those Diglett as possible." He truly hoped Phanpy would understand his plan, though he knew it was highly unlikely that the elephant would.

Maji looked up and over to his Budew, "Anastasia, I need you to Focus a leaf storm into the hole. First of all, it should atleast create a defense for Phanpy to back away from those diglett, and then it'll hopefully give you and Damien some time to get into the hole. Once you are both in there, Damien, I want you to use Quick Attack between those diglett in order to confuse them, if you can cause some damage, good, but that isn't the primary goal. Ana, while Damien is distracting them I want you to watch the diglett carefully, try and get them together, and then use another Leaf Storm to finish them off. Try not to hit Damien, in fact; Damien, when the Diglett are huddled together I want you to use your natural speed to run back over behind Anastasia." And so the orders were set.

Anastasia and Damien nodded, and while the bud pokemon waited for Phanpy to be ready both pokemon prepared themselves to launch. Anastasia with her Leaf Storm, and Damien gathering up stamina to run his fastest through the Diglett. Oh yes, this would definately be interesting.

Standing above the hole, you could vaguely see the figures moving around nearly ten feet beneath you; nonetheless, the battle was progressing, its noise level and violence increasing with time. The Diglett had just taken the minor advantage as Anastasia focused, and attempted to the best of her ability to shoot her Leaf Storm at all three of the enemy Pokemon without hurting the Phanpy, quite a difficult task for such a flurry of leaves. You could see the leaves shoot straight down from your vantage point at a very high velocity, but you could not see just yet who exactly they hit and who didn't get hurt. It was likely that all four Pokemon received decent damage as opposed to the catastrophic damage that Leaf Storm normally causes, because it was split between four Pokemon, yet it was impossible to know for sure. Still, the move was enough to separate the three enemies from your pachydermal partner, and your two Pokemon took the opportunity to jump down into the Diglett's nest themselves.

Upon landing on the mud beneath them, Anastasia and Damien soon found themselves in a veritable battling arena of sorts, which was most likely the pitiful moles' home. The place was dank by virtue of its location next to a lake, and some sympathies for these Pokemon whom inhabit the area, only wishing to be left alone in their highly uncomfortable home. For the first time, you could also see the true form of these mole Pokemon, noticing their scrawny bodies, long pink tails, and sharp claws that are normally hidden from everyone's view. These Pokemon were young, clearly, and underdeveloped, but that didn't mean that their battling prowess was weakened, and were incredibly fast creatures, nearly twice as speedy as Anastasia and also quicker than Damien, too. Coupled with the fact that your two Pokemon had fallen into their arena and needed time to regain their footing before attacking, while Phanpy was taking his time curling into a ball, it was clear why the Digletts landed the first attack.

Instantly, they chose their first target, the poor Phanpy, who was much less scary than Anastasia or even Damien. These Pokemon were nothing if not smart, and sprinted at the elephant with their claws outstretched in front of their bodies. Three quick scratches were administered to the back of the Phanpy, although were somewhat ineffective against the Pokemon's tough skin from her back that was now showing. Only the third scratch drew blood, and as the Diglett stopped to ponder this strange twist of fate, your Damien attacked. His Quick Attack was still remarkably fast and well-practiced, but he was only able to clip the backside of one Diglett before running away.

The Diglett didn't take too kindly to this attack, and began sprinting back over to Damien until Anastasia stepped bravely in their path. Before she shot off this Leaf Storm, which was considerably weaker than the first, the Diglett had enough time to scatter themselves around, but it still was hardly enough to miss the attack. Only the third one, who was disrupted by Damien's Quick Attack, had managed to barely survive the assault of leaves, leaving him cowering in the mud beside Phanpy. He uncurled himself, and for the first time wore a serious look on his face as he approached the poor mole. She begged for her life, but it wasn't enough to prevent his trunk from slapping her across the face, sending her flying into the opposite wall, now unconscious.

Yes, your plan had worked... but now there was an obvious predicament. You had three Pokemon stuck in a hole that only Damien could crawl himself out of with his sharpened claws, and no way to get out Anastasia or your Phanpy friend. The battle had gone nearly perfectly, but there was certainly the current issue at hand that was not only difficult, but also very scary for even the usually happy elephant.

Budew, Rattata, and Phanpy all receive 30 :exp

The Diglett receive 21 :exp each

Maji looked down into the hole, apparently the battle was over and all he needed to do now was... well... get everyone out of there. He looked down at his belt and frowned, there were but two empty pokeballs, which meant that he'd be unable to catch the Diglett trio.

"Damien, come up here." He called down into the hole, where moments later the mouse popped out of and looked at him confused. "Anastasia, come right below the hole and don't be afraid." He commanded, and as the little pokemon moved over, he dropped her pokeball down into the hole and heard it plop her on the head, putting her back into it. He then turned back to Damien and decided to fill him in on the plan.

"Damien, seeing as you're the only one who can come in and out easily, I want you to take this,"--he handed a small-pokeball to Damien-- "and ask Phanpy to tap it. Tell him that if he doesn't want to join us, I'll let him free, but this is the quickest way to get him out of the hole. Anyways, once they are all safely inside of the pokeballs, I want you to take them out one at a time; starting with Anastasia." He ordered, and the rat nodded with understanding.

With that, Damien took the pokeball into his mouth (careful not to bite down), and jumped back down into the hole where he offered Phanpy the opportunity to get out of the hole with ease. It was up to the elephant whether it wanted to or not, of course.

By now, the elephant was whimpering like an innocent kid having first experienced sadness. He knew it was his fault that the three innocent moles were now (nearly) dead, and like any similarly immature creature, he seemed like he was nearly traumatized. Of course, Damien and Anastasia were used to fightinging for pleasure, so they simply presented him with the Pokeball as if nothing had happened. The elephant's trunk reluctantly stretched forward to press the central button on the outstretched Pokeball, his trunk slipping nervously as he reached forward without any conviction. Upon his fourth effort, the button clicked inwards and the iconic red light appeared, instantly de-materializing your newest companion. With Anastasia's Pokeball curled in his tail and Phanpy's carefully between his teeth, Damien looked around for a few seconds before springing up, back toward the hole from where he had came.

Soon realizing that he couldn't make the jump to the ceiling with the added weight of the two Pokeballs, Damien showed remarkable cunning by using his surroundings to facilitate his leap. Specifically, he also showed a great deal of carelessness and lack of respect for his fellow Pokemon by taking a few seconds to stack the knocked out Diglett in a pyramid formation. Climbing up onto the moles while accidentally sticking a paw in one of their eyes, Damien was easily able to make the jump. The sheer inhumanity of it makes one wonder if the nickname you gave to the rat is entirely accurate, but nonetheless you easily resolved what could have been a rather precarious situation in the hands of a less skilled trainer.

The morning was still young, although by now you could see some of the strong Pokemon that Route 5 was known for beginning to wake up just as you had made your way to Joukai Pass. You soon found yourself in a sea of faces that you may not yet have recognized as people from Tohea; at any rate, though, you had made it to your half-way point, and were that much closer on your road to Nogou.

(Elephant added to your Profile, and with that, there is no more need to request me. Many thanks for indulging me on this little aside.)

Maji tried not to smile as his Rattata used the knocked out bodies of the diglett to escape the tunnel, but his attempts failed when his lips curled upwards slightly and a small, light, laugh escaped them. He looked over to his Rattata then, and took the pokeballs from his tail and mouth before praising the small rodent with pokemon food as well as well-earned compliments and the like. Eventually, it was time to head off and with a new member of cast joining them, he figured it was best to get to know him a bit better.

"Anastasia, set. Scene!" He directed as he lunged the pokeball up into the air where it exploded into a brilliant white light which then formed the body of his young companion and good friend, Anastasia. As she arrived on the set, her fragile and misleading voice repeated her name twice before she looked at Maji and smiled happily. He too smiled back at her, praised her as he had Damien only moments ago, and then turned back to his other pokeball, the one containing his newest ally and friend.

"Lupine, Call time!" His voice echoed for a moment as he spun the pokeball along his fingers for a few moments before throwing it up into the air, catching it in his hand once more, and then back-hand throwing it outwards a good three feet. Eventually, the ball returned to him while it expelled a bright red light which took the form of a small elephant, who then tooted his horn once before calling his name to the skies, "Phanpy!"

Maji looked at his new companion, Lupine, and spent a good chunk of time familiarizing himself with him. Not only did he speak to the small pokemon but he also scanned him with his poketech and gathered a nice bit of information about its move set. By the time he had familizarized himself well enough with Lupine, the sun was well-ways up and shining brightly upon himself and his companions.

After a few more moments, he found himself bathing in the sunlight in Joukai Pass, surrounded by hundreds of other trainers who seemed to be new to the region. He had heard a little somtehing about people randomly appearing, but hadn't thought much of it. However, he knew the laws of Joukai Pass, and was uncertain how close to the tower he was. "Anastasia, Lupine, Damien; this is Joukai Pass. If we are within a one-mile radius of the Tower located in its center, battling is forbidden. So unless we are challenged to a battle, we are not to attack any pokemon we see." He explained, taking Anastasia onto his shoulder while both Lupine and Damien walked at his sides defensively.

Rainbows and sunshine.
The sun was not hot, but it certainly was warm, and the people around you were taking breaks to get out of it, and figue out where the hell they were. For the most part the road to Nogou looked shady and it seemed to have a large amount of cloud cover in the distance too. You recalled hearing a whisper about a festival that happens in Nogou during April, it seemed like a good opportunity to test your skills against the hopeful youngsters and experienced veterans, assuming some for of contest was infact involved. Alot of thee trainers seemed to be going down the path to Nogou too, it was shady and cooler, and a few people were talking about their experiences in a mumble that was in comprehensible as you passed by. A boy with a Starly atop his head and an Ekans coiled around his hand came up to you, he was about fifteen with hair as blond as yourself cropped shorty and spiked up.

The boy, not looking at you spoke to you "Sure it warm today isn't it?" he said, this was a rhetorical question as you could clearly see he knew the answer. Ekans uncoiled itself a little and rubbed your arm, sure was a friendly little thing "Ekans" it said cheerfully. Starly however, turn itself from you and gave a noise quite like a 'hump.' It appears that Ekans and Starly are opposites and they don't have the same views. The boy looked at you this time and gave a small smiled whilst you were still walking "Are you going to Nogou too? The rains are coming soon, I hear there's gonna be a festival." He looked around at your pokemon. "Nice pokemon. By the way this is Yukai" he said holding up the Ekans "and this is Urei." The Starly gave another humph and turned so its tail was facing you, it was a gesture that was ment to be the human equivalent of 'talk to the hand'. The boy seemed to be making small talk, and he was heading to Nogou too, maybe he was hoping that you and he could go together, safety in numbers so to speak. Your Phanphy seemed to like him and gave trumpet as he lead the way. Yukai uncoiled itself, droping to the ground with a soft thud and slitered to join Phanphy, chattering in its hissy way. "My name is Edward by the way, but feel free to call me Ed or Eddy, everyone does." And with that he paused and waited as you passed into the region branching off from Joukai known as Route 1.

(I shall move this to the appropriate section.)

Maji looked at the boy who'd come up all of a sudden. The first thing he'd noticed were the two pokemon he was carrying outside of his pokeball, and he immediately looked down to the three pokemon he was carrying himself. The ekans seemed to be the nicer of the two, ironically enough, and the starly seemed to be very hostile towards other humans aside from its trainer.

Maji looked down then from the corner of his eye and noticed Damien crouched in a position where he was ready to strike. He then remembered that Ekans ate rat and mouse pokemon for lunch, and decided it best to avoid conflict for the time being. "Damien," he drew the pokeball from his belt within a moment and poised it towards the rat pokemon, "return." Within just a moment, Damien was nestled back into his pokeball safe and sound.

Maji then noticed the boy speaking to him and responded, "yep, sure is." He answered despite it having been retorical, he then felt the Ekans along his arm and smirked, much nicer than he'd expected, that was for sure. The trainer later asked if he was on his way to Nogou, and Maji nodded yes, though he hadn't known of the Festival that was coming. "Nice to meet you, I'm Maji, this is my Budew, Anastasia, my Phanpy, Lupine, and my rattata who I just recalled is name Damien." He introduced, then smiled.

"I have to be going though, my pokemon and I have to strengthen up a little before we get to Nogou, so we're going to wander around route 1 for a little bit." He said, not entirely lying since he did plan on tutoring his pokemon a few new moves and possibly doing some contest training before they reached Nogou. He smiled and waved to Edward before running off towards route one. "By Edward! See you soon in Nogou, I hope!" He called, running back towards Route 1 again.

Mindful of his egg, Maji looked into his bag and made sure it was safely wound up within his clothes. He took it out after setting Anastasia down, and wondered how long it'd be before the egg hatched. After a moment, he decided to just carry it with him, and began to shine it with one of his clean shirts. "Hm... shouldn't be much longer I hope." He said before looking back over to Phanpy and Budew, and heading back onto the route.

You said your goodbye to Edward and headed of towards Route 1. The egg you were carrying started to shake. It should be to long before it hatched and you had another member to add to your crew. Speaking of which, I think I see something moving in the grass infront of you. If fact, it looked like two of something.

They looked like squirrel and it even looked like they were dancing with each other. Rather strange for Pokemon, let alone squirrels. If you looked even closer, you could see little sparks or electricity being sent off. Not large enough to hurt anyone though. Which I would asume is a good thing, unless you wanted to go around and zap eveyone to get what you wanted. But I doupt you're that kind of a person. And I'm sure that by now you realized that the squirrels were really Pachirisu's. They looked so blissful and their dancing skills would be great for contests. Don't you think?

:pachirisu Level 7s One male and one female.

I'm sure they'd join you if you tried to befriend them or something. Maybe offer them some food? But that's just me talking. It's all up to you on what you want to do to them. In fact, you could just leave these cute, little things alone.

Maji looked across the wide open space of Route 1 and was rather pleased to find that a great majority of it seemed to be perfect for training. Out in the distance he could see tiny blue sparkles of electricity dancing in the sky, and as he neared the dancing electricity he could see two small, young, pachirisu dancing happily. It was then that he thought that these two little squirrel Pokemon would be perfect cast members, already they had a connection that was amazing. Not only that, but they would be perfect additions to his Contest Team, they would be perfect for everything he had in mind.

"Damien, set, scene!" He called as he launched his Pokemon's pokeball into the air where it erupted and took form. Eventually, the ball returned to Maji and the rattata was looking well rested and very ready for anything. "Anastasia, I want you to go over there with those Pachirisu. Invite them to have some food with us." He said as he set out clothing onto the grass and began placing Pokemon food on them for Damien, Lupine, and Anastasia. He then took some food and set it aside for the two pachirisu if they chose to eat with them.

After setting out the Pokemon food, he grabbed some food of his own; just a couple of sandwiches which were soon gone into his stomach. As Anastasia finished eating she decided to head over to the Pachirisu, excited about having new friends possibly join them, especially since they looked like they were friendly little critters that would easily get along with everyone.

While Anastasia was away however, Manuel chose to tell his other pokemon what they'd be doing. "Alright guys, for the next few days we'll be working on teaching you all some new moves. Damien, you and Anastasia have already started working on Razor Leaf and Bite, we're going to perfect those soon." He looked away from his Rattata for a moment as he turned to his Phanpy, Lupine. "Lupine, you haven't been with us for long. However, I know of one move we can teach you that is definitely easy to grasp, Roll Out. Basically you'll be coiling up into a ball and using your speed you'll roll out towards your opponent in over to basically run them over. It's a rather useful attack when in need of quickness or time to come up with a well thought-out strategy." He explained.

He then looked over to see how Anastasia was doing.
