A large island located in the north-eastern part of the Alternia region, with a large mountain to the north-east causing the island’s coldest and snowiest climate. A large tree line extends all across the northern region of the island, briefly coalescing into a forest in the center before continuing all the way to the mountain, and is overall a very lush environment. The north-western area, however, consists only of remnants of a environment following industrial development. The southern end of the island becomes more barren and rocky, filled with numerous steep cliffs - including a large whitestone cliff upon the southern tip, providing a steep difference between the beach below and the path to the rest of the island.

An island situated to the north west of the region. On it lies just one city, Miracu - but many trainers stop by this island to visit the Liliana Shallows and the Dujok Swamp, not to mention the strange Rainwater Path, a route permanently struck by endless rainstorms. Three small islands rest off the coast, each with strange ruins at their centers.

A large island where a large mountain dominates part of the land, providing a barrier between the main settlements - though a recently constructed tunnel now provides easier passage to the bustling port town of Millenia, the hazardous dry terrain of the Falla Desert, and Alternia's freight shipping capital: Peddleton.

A large island located in the eastern reaches of the Alternian Ocean. The eastern skies are dominated by the largest trees in the entire region, providing a natural cover for those underneath, protecting them from the strong sunshine that blazes across the entire island. The western shores of the island are encompassed by a regal city filled with castlelike structures that wouldn't look out of place in the fairy tales of old. Between these two lies a verdant grassland, dotted with trees, but also punctuated by the largest lake in Alternia and a lush meadow closed off to the rest of society.

Located at the centre of the entire region, this piece of land is the foundation to the gargantuan structure that is the Aer Tower.

This island sits just to the north of Aer Island, with 6 uninhabited islands surrounding it. This island is the headquarters of the Pokémon League Conference, and also the location of the annual Pokémon League Grand Tournament. At other times, this all purpose stadium can be used for trainer's own purposes whenever they want, to either battle other fellow trainers, or participate in smaller tournaments.

A resort area for all Alternians, where they can come and be pampered. The many fashion shops attract many Coordinators, along with Alternians hailing from the nearby Aer Tower. The island plays host to the Annual Grand Festival Pokémon contest.

Located to the north of Zaroff Island, this once barren island has now become a preserve for some very rare Pokémon, many of which cannot be found anywhere else in the region. A number of Pokémon have been imported from other regions to feature within this nature preserve.

A small island to the east of Zaroff Island, known only to be the location of the mysterious and unusual Unown Dungeon.

Very little is known about this island, given that all is visible is a huge mountain with no signs of life, human or Pokémon. Rumours exist, however, claiming that the island is located in a space where time does not pass - and whilst from the outside, it appears barren, the space inside contains a vast array of life.

These "islands" appear to move across the sea from day to day. Some suggest atmospheric illusions cloud the view, but a reef around the islands protects them from ships. Only the worthy are allowed near enough to touch their shores.

Surrounded by gigantic whirlpools, giant pillars of shipwreck covered stone, and unforgiving seas, this isle has probably been visited by humans only once in it's history, hundreds of years ago. The island is covered with vast jungles, rolling plains, treacherous hills, and tall mountains, as well as dotted by many rivers and stream. The most distinguished feature, however, would be the massive, lake-sized whirlpool swirling in the centre of the island. Nearly a miniature of a region in itself, this island is special; as it's only inhabitants are Pokémon from a prehistoric age.

This is the restricted area at the north east of the region. Horrifically strong Pokémon roam these vastly unexplored lands, which is why access is only granted to those who have successfully completed the Pokémon League Challenge of the Champion Isles. Many Pokémon considered as legends make a resting place of these islands, further adding to the enormous danger they present to trainers.

The big, blue, wide open ocean. Whether riding atop a Pokémon or travelling via Ferry, trainers looking to explore all parts of Alternia will pass through the vast waters that separate the land.
