![]() A rare image of Mandalore the Defiant outside his armor, wielding one of his custom Rippers ![]() Mandalore the Defiant (center) flanked by his trusted advisers while overseeing the results of a battle. MANDALORE THE DEFIANT Leading the Mandalorian Hegemony, formed shortly after the end of Grand Admiral Thrawn, Mandalore the Defiant was known already as a warrior of strength and charisma. In battle, he had little fear of his enemies, though he does not make the mistake of underestimating them. He is considered unstoppable, because defeat is not an endall for him, just a point to reconsider his position and approach. His charisma is equally powerful, able to speak to any crowd, through victory or defeat. However, he believes that Mandalorians are the master of their own destinies, and will defy anyone who thinks otherwise to their deaths. Character Stats:
Excerpt of Mandalore the Defiant's address to his people Mando'ade! Hear me! A new age is upon us, one that we must take hold of and make it ours, never relenting. Our ancestors have given us the ways and codes that have seen us through the darkest hours. The yoke of Imperial oppression has been thrown off, and we are once more the masters of our own destiny. Today, we will usher forth a new golden age for all Mandalorians, to return to the galaxy, not as hired guns or slaves, but as fierce warriors that once brought this galaxy to it's knees. We will no longer fight just for credits or for the agenda of others, but for our own honor and pride! War wages around us all, and we must seize this opportunity to reclaim that which we lost, to remind the galaxy why we are warriors to be feared and respected! Our path will not be an easy one, but if it were, it would not be worthy of Mandalorians to embark upon, and whatever the future holds for us, it will be a destiny that we have made for ourselves, and for better or worse, the galaxy will forever remember our exploits, our battles, our honor. I urge all Mandalorians to return and fight, to honor the call of Mandalore to battle! Let us light a fire that will burn across the infinite void, a fire that will be forever more remembered! ![]() --General Torin Bendal-- --Ground Forces Commander-- Description: A longtime friend of Mandalore, Torin Bendal started life as a mercenary, but later began to attract others, forming a small mercenary band and operating in the Mid-Rim for the highest bidder. After the Battle of Endor, Bendal brought his mercenaries to help oust the Empire from Mandalore, where he proved his mettle enough to be made the head of ground forces for Mandalore's armies. His experience managing his mercenary band has left him with some idea on economics, as well as small covert unit operations, but his true calling is on the open fields of battle. Character Stats
![]() --Air Marshal Osira Sapan-- --Starfighter Commander-- Description: By far one of Mandalore's youngest chieftains, Osira Sapan was not born a Mandalorian, but was adopted later in life. She joined the Rebel Alliance at 16, just before the Battle of Hoth, and became a fighter pilot, proving herself in a number of skirmishes as a capable pilot in just about any fighter craft, and flew a Y-Wing at the Battle of Endor. Her fighter squadron was operating near Duxun when it was ambushed by an Imperial assault force. A small group of Mandalorian fighters came to her squadron's aid nearly too late, but the Mandalorian pilots were impressed by the lone Y-Wing holding off Imperials at 10/1 odds. Her reputation was forever tarnished, and Osira left the New Republic and was adopted by the clan of Mandalorian fighter pilots she encountered. She is still quite full of life, and was also equally instrumental in the development of the new generation of Mandalorian fighters. Character Stats
![]() --Admiral Mathius Sekel-- --Naval Forces Commander-- Description: A former Imperial Navy officer who impressed Mandalore enough to be adopted into his clan, Mathius Sekel cut his teeth in the Outer Rim in counterpiracy operations, and was involved in a campaign to crush the criminal syndicate that had stolen a number of Mandalorian designs through intimidation and theft. An avid historian and an admirer of Mandalorian culture, Mathius broke all ties with the Empire when he defected to the Mandalorians liberating their home by bringing in a small fleet of ships stolen from the Mandalorians by the criminals, and helped drive the Empire off of Mandalore. Mathius assisted the Mandalorians later by providing his experience when they were designing their new ships, and continues to serve Mandalore. Character Stats
![]() --Spectre Marshal Cain Ne Dago-- --Special Operations Commander Description: A shadow warrior who was once a Rebel SpecFor commando, very little is known about Cain Ne Dago's past, but what is known suggests a quiet and methodical man who is very clever in how he picks his battles. Cain Ne Dago was assigned to an advisory group sent by the New Republic to the Mandalorian resistance, and voluntarily resigned his commission after Mandalore was liberated from the Empire, being accepted into a Mandalorian clan. The Spectres were his brainchild, forming an elite cadre of covert operations specialists to handle the black operations of the Hegemony. Character Stats
![]() --Doctor Killric Athzaria-- --Research/Production Specialist-- Description: Next to nothing is known about the mysterious Doctor Killric Athzaria, and much of what is known is mostly rumors and superstition, but what is factual is that he is a brilliant thinker, and is highly trusted by Mandalore. Some say he was once an Imperial head researcher who defected, and others believe that he is actually a Sith who swore allegiance to Mandalore. No one even knows his race, but he is very good at what he does in his laboratories and research facilities. Character Stats
![]() --Director Sephi Masha-- --Intelligence Operations Director-- Description: Quiet, cold, and calculating, Sephi Masha was an information broker on Corellia, and was quite good at her job for the longest time. She was able to play both criminal and law enforcement quite well, providing reliable information to either side that was willing to pay up in one way or another. However, after CorSec's dissolution and replacement with the more Imperial PSS, Sephi returned home to Concord Dawn, helping to set up a Mandalorian intelligence network, which worked against the Empire at every turn while also keeping tabs on the New Republic. It is often said taht if Sephi speaks, even Mandalore heeds her words. Character Stats
![]() --Ambassador Kayda Merquise-- --Ambassador-- Description: Kayda Merquise was born with a rare affliction that left her blind, and yet, she refused to let that stop her. She still learned to fight, despite the fact she was an orphan, but she also found a gift with words and numbers. This impressed a Mandalorian bounty hunter passing through her village on Ciutric, where Kayda was holding off a group of thugs on her own. She had helped the bounty hunter after the fight, helping to track down her mark and even helped cut a few deals along the way. Seeing potential, the bounty hunter adopted the blind plucky urchin and helped make her into a Mandalorian warrior, as well as getting her cybernetic replacements for her eyesight. During Mandalore's liberation, Kayda was instrumental in securing weapons and equipment for the Mandalorian resistance outside of the New Republic's supply chains, and has since earned her place among Mandalore's inner circle.
