![]() --MANDALORIAN ELITE CADRE-- Description: Mandalorians are known the galaxy over as being the fiercest warriors, unrivaled in battle. Even while weakened, the Mandalorians have still been feared in battle. However, Mandalore the Defiant has called upon his greatest for form a core cadre of elite warriors to serve as a special operations detachment. These warriors are absolutely brutal in combat, and few can stand in their way. Each member's armor is customized to their own liking, and they use weapons that have been personalized and well used, so no two Elite Warriors use the same gear. No mission is too much for these men and women, no task too daunting. ![]() --MANDALORIAN SPECTRES-- Description: Some Mandalorians specialise their combat skills from within the shadows, and the best of these unseen warriors have been formed into a legion known as the Spectres. Rivaling the abilities of the Imperial Stormtrooper Commandos and Republic SpecFor Squads, these Mandalorians may not be as loud or well known as their bretheren on the frontline, but they are just as deadly by their own right. Spectres are only known for their unique armor, which is well outside of norm for normal Mandalorian beskar'gem in appearance and uses, but this is intentional to hide their idenities and for functionality in their covert roles. Mandalore the Defiant favors using these forces as spies, scouts, sabotage teams, and other roles that normal forces are ill suited for. ![]() --MANALORIAN GROUND TROOPS-- Description: Raised from birth as nomadic warriors, Mandalorians are known the galaxy over to be feared and revered fighters. During the reign of the Empire, Mandalorians would go out to offer their services to the highest bidder, to get away from potential slavers and to earn fame for themselves. As required of Mandalorians, they have heeded the call of Mandalore to return and fight, and have formed a ground infantry force that easily rivals any major military's. Every warrior has a suit of famous Mandalorian armor, and a lifetime's worth of experience in fighting, better than any training. Furthermore, they are not restricted to any one race, and while mostly human, aliens are welcome to embrace their ways and become Mandalorian. ![]() --MANDALORIAN SMALL ARMS-- Description: In order to simplify logistics for ground forces, Mandalore commissioned a division of MandalTech to create new small arms for Mandalorians to use. While some weapons have been retained that are used around the galaxy already, such as the Merr-Sonn PLX-2M concussion missile launcher, Merr-Sonn EWEB heavy repeating blaster, and a few others, MandalTech focused on first providing a standard service rifle, a standard sidearm, and a standard support weapon. Pictured on the top is the MandalTech MAR-01 "Marauder" Blaster Rifle, the service rifle of Mandalorian warriors. A straightforward affair borrowing from Merr-Sonn's frill-less M-435 DeathSledge blaster rifle, the MAR-01 is simple, rugged, but powerful. It supports automatic fire capabilities, as well as a separate stun bolt mode, but beyond that, it was built not to be the next greatest technological breakthrough, but a soldier's weapon. It can be fitted with aftermarket optics or the Viper Grenade Launcher (attached to the lower handguard). Pictured lower left is the MandalTech MRP-12 "Rapier" Blaster Pistol, the standard sidearm of Mandalorian personnel. Like the Marauder, the Rapier was designed to be straightforward but pack a punch. While many wanted to utilize the "Ripper" weapons of old, these proved too costly to produce en-masse, and instead, a heavy blaster pistol rivaling the BlasTech DL-44 was fielded instead. It features a removable targeting optic on the top of the frame, and gas ports below the barrel are used to vent excess heat and also aid in keeping recoil down. Finally, pictured lower right, is the MandalTech MSW-21 "Sawblade" Support Rifle. This weapon is a heavy barreled rifle that can either be fielded with large power capacitors to act as an automatic blaster, providing squads with volumes of fire against the enemy, or can be fitted with a high power optic and serve as a designated marksman rifle. It comes standard with a folding bipod and low-power optics integrated into it's carrying handle, and has caught on so well that ground forces have all but abandoned the T-21 that they were originally pushing to adopt. ![]() --BASILISK WAR DROID-- Description: Once the feared battle mount of the Mandalorians during their war with the Jedi and Republic 4000 BBY, the Basilisk was banned after their defeat over Malachor V at the hands of Revan. However, forces under Mandalore the Defiant have brought back the Basilisk. A heavily armed assault vehicle, it is akin to a war beast, and many who are assigned to a Basilisk often grow attached to them, much as a rider does to their mount. Bristling with weapons, they are often the first and last thing a defending force sees when Mandalorians make their landfall. Name: Basilisk War Droid Designer/Manufacturer: MandalTech Combat Role: Shock Assault Platform Crew: 1 Length: 10 Meters Height: 5 Meters Propulsion: Legs, Repulsorlift, Ion Engines Speed: 70 MGLT/1200 KPH Hull Rating: 100 RU Weapons: x2 Heavy Lasers x2 Heavy Repeating Blasters x1 Concussion Grenade Launcher x1 Ion Cannon ![]() --WARBRINGER ASSAULT WALKER-- Description: A heavy combat walker, the Warbringer is intended as a support unit to help force breakthroughs, and is capable of orbital insertions. It is armed with a grappler arm, as well as a heavy blaster cannon and concussion grenade launcher on the other arm. It is rather clunky in size, but it is quite devastating in combat. A common approach is to use Warbringers to support Basilisks in an opening invasion. Name: Warbringer Designer/Manufacturer: MandalTech Combat Role: Shock Assault Walker Crew: 2 Length: 10 Meters Height: 15 Meters Propulsion: Legs Speed: 60 KPH Hull Rating: 120 RU Weapons: x1 Grapler Arm x1 Heavy Blaster Cannon x1 Concussion Grenade Launcher ![]() --CANDEROUS ASSAULT TANK-- Description: A design put together by MandalMotors during the Galactic Civil War, the Canderous Assault Tank was stolen by a crime syndacite for their own ground forces, but was still fielded by Mandalorians. It is a heavy repulsortank fitted with dual blaster cannons, a concussion missile launcher, and heavy armor plating, as well as a modest shield generator. However, the Canderous is not very mobile, due to it's offensive and defensive capabilities. All of that in mind, however, it is still capable of combating an Imperial AT-AT walker one-on-one, earning it a place in Mandalorian heavy armor ranks. Name: Canderous Tank Designer/Manufacturer: MandalTech Combat Role: Heavy Assault Tank Crew: 4 Length: 20 Meters Propulsion: Repulsorlift w/ 2m Flight Ceiling Speed: 80 KPH Shield Rating: 175 SBD Hull Rating: 200 RU Weapons x2 Heavy Laser Cannons x1 Concussion Missile Launcher (6 Missiles) ![]() --PHALANX WAR DROID-- Description: A rather simple combat droid, the Phalanx was designed as a mobile support for infantry. It is effectively a light turbolaser fitted to tracks and armor plating and merged with a droid brain. The Phalanx War Droid is small and agile, but due to it's simplistic design, it is not very durable. As a redundant backup, it does have a manual override for two crew to man if the droid is knocked offline. Name: Phalanx Designer/Manufactuer: MandalTech Combat Role: Support War Droid Crew: 1 (Droid Brain), 2 (Manual Override) Length: 10 Meters Propulsion: Tracks Speed: 120 KPH Hull Rating: 75 RU Weapons x1 Light Turbolaser Cannon ![]() --HELLFIRE ASSAULT WALKER-- Description: Noting the effectiveness of Imperial walkers, the Hellfire is the Mandalorian approach to finding a middle ground between the AT-AT and AT-ST. It is smaller than the AT-AT, but is far better equipped for outright combat than the AT-ST, boasting strong armor plating, two heavy blaster cannons, two autoblasters and two concussion grenade launchers. Each one is mounted on an individual arm on either side of the hull, independently targetable. Name: Hellfire Designer/Manufacturer: MandalTech Combat Role: Main Line Combat Walker Crew: 3 Height: 10 meters Propulsion: Legs Speed: 80 KPH Hull Rating: 120 RU Weapons x2 Heavy Blaster Cannons x2 Autoblasters x2 Concussion Grenade Launchers ![]() --HARBINGER TANK-- Description: Description: Intended as an urban assault vehicle, the Harbinger Tank is designed with heavy armor, shielding, and a pair of rotary blaster cannons. It is quite deadly against infantry and light armor, but against other targets, it requires support to combat them properly. The Harbinger is also useful in a limited anti-aircraft role, though more against atmospheric craft rather than shielded starfighters or assault bombers. Name: Harbinger Designer/Manufacturer: MandalTech Combat Role: Infantry Support Tank Crew: 4 Height: 10 Meters Propulsion: Tracks Speed: 90 KPH Shield Rating: 100 SBD Hull Rating: 50 RU Weapons x2 Rotary Barrel Blaster Cannons ![]() --GHARZR REPULSORTANK-- Description: Designed to support heavier armor, the Gharzr Hover Tank is smaller and more agile than the Canderous Assault Tank, the Gharzr is lighter in armor, and is quite maneuverable, but is no less armed, fitted with a heavy blaster cannon, an autoblaster, a commander's pintle mounted heavy repeating blaster and a side slung concussion missile launcher. It is deployed in packs to make the best use of it's speed and firepower, either to quickly shore up gaps in defenses, or to exploit enemy flanks. Name: Gharzr Designer/Manufacturer: MandalTech Combat Role: Light Reuplsortank Crew: 4 Length: 10 Meters Propulsion: Repulsorlift w/5 meter Flight Ceiling Speed: 300 KPH Hull Rating: 50 RU Weapons: x1 Heavy Blaster Cannon x1 Co-axial Autoblaster x1 Pintle Heavy Repeating Blaster x1 Concussion Missile Launcher (4 Missiles) ![]() --VORNSKR HEAVY REPULSORTANK-- Description: Built as a breakthrough tank, the Vornskr is armored to the hilt, and fitted with a high power heavy blaster cannon, as well as a forward mounted heavy durasteel spade to plow straight through buildings and fortifications with ease. However, the Vornskr does require support to avoid being flanked. Vornskr Tanks are best used also as mobile cover for advancing forces, soaking up damage that would kill lesser vehicles. Name: Vornskr Designer/Manufacturer: MandalTech Combat Role: Breakthrough Tank Crew: 5 Length: 15 Meters Propulsion: Repulsorlift w/2 meter Flight Ceiling Speed 80 KPH Hull Rating: 200 RU Weapons: x1 Heavy Laser Cannon ![]() --RANCOR SIEGE PLATFORM-- Description: Absolutely massive, this tracked platform is fitted with a heavy turbolaser similiar to what was found on the SPHA-T artillery platforms. It is heavily armored, to prevent it from being easily knocked out by counterbattery fire, but due to it's size, it is not easy to move. It is, however, very devastating against enemy emplacements. The sheer firepower is enough to level structures and wipe out formations, though even with it's large on-board power generators, it has a rather low rate of fire. Name: Rancor Designer/Manufacturer: MandalTech Combat Role: Artillery/Siege Platform Crew: 12 Length: 20 Meters Propulsion: Tracks Speed: 50 KPH Hull Rating: 150 RU Weapons: x1 Heavy Turbolaser Edited by CipherHornet, Apr 10 2013, 11:11 PM.
