Take a page from real life and start slowly. Looked at what happened just two weeks ago when just a chairman of a Chinese committee on cross-strait ties visited.

OOC You cant just say no. The reason the Chinese civil war doesn't heat up is because the PRC thinks Taiwan will eventually rejoin the mainland. If you just say no that would be considered a declaration of war.

OOC: The only way a reunification would happen, would be if PRC cedes itself to be under ROC control, which will never happen.

OOC: Reunification could happen in other ways but it would require give and take from both sides to accomplish. Also PRC never puts Taiwan in a position where it might outright reject reunification as it knows that attacking Taiwan will destroy its economy and backing down would be ideologically and politically unacceptable. The status Quo with steadily improving trade and commerce relations i swhat works best for both sides at this point.
