These will be centered around a aircraft carrier and 1 or 2 amphibious assault ships. They will have advanced destroyers,Frigates,Cruisers,Submarines and the like to support them. New designs are to be commissioned and research is to begin on something to meld various systems together to form something like the Aegis.

The majority of the weapon mounts will be replaced with room for aircraft. A small number of anti air missiles and CIWs will be put on. This will raise the ships air capability from 40 to 66. It will be recommisioned as the PLAN Chairman Mao.

The Varyag is probably being fitted in real life so that wont cost that much. In addition manufacturing in china is really cheap so I can do stuff for much less then euro or american companies.
