When cyclone Nargis hit, Burma said that they would gladly accept aid into the country. Now that they have got a large amount of food, shelter, medical supplies, and money, they have decided to put all the food and such into a warehouse, not be taken to the worst hit areas to provide the homless, and injured people, with the necesities to survive. We donated tonnes of supplies, and millions of dollars to make sure people wouldn't die, but teh burmese government has not cared and thrown all aid into a warehouse to be "checked", not even mentioning where all the money in going to. I, for one, think this is outragous, since more civilians are dieing every day, and the government arent giving out teh supplies donated to them by caring nations. I think we should take action, by making sure charity organisations, such as the Red Cross, make their way to Burma and the worst hit places, to make sure supplies are fairly given, and not kept for possible selfish greed. |

It is more the fact that the burmese government has effectively stolen all the aid we sent out to the worst hit areas. |

There is nothing we can do to force the Burmese government to begin handing out aid instantly. Although this is not a situation we condone, we must respect actions the Burmese Junta unless they are deliberately trying to kill millions of affected civilians, there is nothing we can do. |
