Part 1: The global financial crisis has continued as food and fuel rise in price again last month with oil crashing through the $120, $130 and $135 marks in less than a month with no sign of slowing down, while food anf fuel dominate the media headlines industry is also suffering as basic idustrial chemicals dramatically increase in price the most extreme being the 6 fold increase in suphuric acid since lat year, the acid is needed in the production of steel, copper and bioethanol. These price rises have forced global inflation to the highest level since records began. OOC: Will be updated as the credit crunch unfolds. |

OOC Is that enough of a excuse to kill the game. Members will probably come on much less thanks to the fact that they are extremely limited as to what they can do. |

OOC: It'll make the game more challenging. And it will give us all more things to do. |

OOC: It means more things to right about and when we had the credit crunch in Mark 2 it was the most active time the game has ever seen. |

Brazil, if you're saying a credit crunch IG would kill the game, are you implying that IRL we're all doomed? |

OOC: The credit crunch was inevitable by this point, we could always delay it but the longer we leave it the worse it'll be so we might as well do it now. Anyway, it's a good world event, gives people something to do. |

OOC: Does someone actually have a response that will work that isn't 'oh god no, we condemn this, we'll get back to you?' Brazil is right, we're not going to come up with something comprehensive to stop it. This is a game and not as in-depth. |

The Russian government has announced that it will take firm action to lower costs to Russian citizens and corperations, given Russia's abundence of natural resources lack of them shouldn't be something Russians are facing. Among the measures are plans to up production in the primary sector of the Russian economy. Also plans are under way to use the sulphur extracted from oil and gas in Hydrodesulfurization to form sulphuric acid to up Russian production. |
