''What we got Andrea?'' asked Special Agent Travis Holt. The Federal Bureau of Investigation had been brought in on this particular case due to the severity of the murders. A Lone Gun Man had shot and killed 4 random civilians and injured a further 2 including a Small Child. It seemed to Holt like a Sniper Killing Spree from a high rise building in the city. The City of Miami has plenty or large buildings but calculating the positioning of the sniper should be easy with the level of technology available to them. ''We got definite homicide with what looks like a 7.62x51mm NATO round being used, the type of ammo used in most Sniper Rifles and Machine Guns in use today. One shot to the head. Looks like we have a very good shot here.'' answered the Coroner at the Scene, Tina McGuire. ''So likely a current or ex-military. Anything else?'' ''At the moment not much else until I get here back to the Bureau. All victims are the same hit in the front or back of the head I guess depending on the way they were facing to the killer. Looks to me like its totally random'' ''Ok thanks Tina. Ill see you later for a update.'' said Holt. Travis Holt has joined the military at the age of 17 and proved himself to be worthy of working with the best. He joined with the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta a year later following a successful Gulf War campaign in which he was able to combat an entire house full of Iraqi Republican Guards. After retiring from the military after suffering a gunshot wound to the shoulder in the Kosovo Campaign he joined his local police force in Miami and impressed his superiors to the point that he was then hired by the Bureau's local field office. Since then he had made his name solving a number of cases the local CSI's had failed to do. |

''Ok Sir we have positive positioning on the rooftop the killer was situated when he fired the shots.'' ''Nice work'' replied Holt. ''Which is it?'' ''The Opera Tower Sir. 15th Largest building in the city. 60 Storeys high. This guy must have been a good shot.'' Holt and his associated Local Police made there way to the top of the recently completed Opera Tower. The roof was flat and had an elevated area, a perfect sniping position. As Holt walked towards the position he could see small red flag the killer had used to estimate the wind speed and direction. These would be vital to ensure he had the perfect shot on his innocent victims. Holt walked closer and put on his gloves. He saw quickly the tiny spots of blood on the ground likely where the shooter had his knee as he lay down to take the shot giving him greater accuracy. Holts next piece of evidence was an ammo round about 4 meters from the place where the killer had fired his shots. Likelihood was the killer had knocked this piece of ammo as he was getting up and missed it when he was clearing the rest of them. Must have been in too much of a rush to count the ammo rounds. It was a 7.62x51mm NATO round. ''I want every room in this building checked. The killer may have been living in this very building. I also want every resident in this building for the last 6 months checked and anyone with links to the Military or Police identified. Is that understood?'' ''Yes Sir it is.'' |

FBI Field Office, Miami ''Sir of all the residents in the Opera Center we have one man with links to the Military. US Army to be exact. A Mr Kellerman.'' ''Put his file up on screen 1. Oh and Valerie hows that blood sample going?'' ''We've just brought it into the lab. Its going through the database now Sir. Files up on 1 now.'' The file came up showing the picture of one AJ Kellerman. ''Ok from what we know the guy was in the Army since the Gulf War. Served his country well right up until the Second Gulf War where it is believed he went insane after accidentally killing a Woman and Child in Baghdad. He was kicked from the Army soon after. He moved to Miami a few months later and then to the Opera Tower only a month ago. Apartment Number 125.'' As Holt finished the Doctor rushed into the room. ''Sir we have a positive match on the blood sample from the rooftop. Its that guy right there. AJ Kellerman.'' ''Ok lets get going. Quickly.'' A Quarter of an Hour later Holt's FBI car and 4 Police Cars from the Miami Dade Police Department arrived back at the Opera Tower. They took the elevator to Apartment 125 and stacked up against the door. Holt knocked on the door once and gave a warning. With no response he repeated the procedure resulting in once again no response coming from the room. Holt gave the signal to his colleagues that they were to break in to the room in 3 seconds. As he did so the door opened to sight of a man who had clearly just woken up. Kellerman stood in the doorway with a dazed and confused look on his face. ''Can I help you?'' ''Hands on your head and down on the ground now.'' shouted Holt. Kellerman did so immediately. He hit the deck and put his hands on the head. Kellerman had been apprehended by the autorities. |
