OOC: Not if they blitz the area's. Speed can win wars, look at Iraq. (Don't count the ~5 years of policing,) but they did do a good job taking the country fast, just holding it is a different story. |

OOC: the fact there arent any UN peacekeepers in Northern Somolia also helps. IC: The offensive has begun. A3 has started shelling Engavo With A1,A2 & A4 advancing across the lines (this is were we need war volonteers and such) |

OOC: ah thanks Sweden, it wont be to difficult to play, all you do is gather a few hundred men (like ive done, its typical fighting in backwater Africa) and play it out. also US why are you intervening? Somaliland fought both Maakir and Puntland repeatedly in 2007, there was no objection from the US or any Western power. In fact:
I also think you'd be a bit more weary after what happened the last time the US intervened in Somolia could we also have a battle writer. |

OOC: I'll write a battle, could you both send tactics. We are now on war time. IC: Russia has condemned the separatist authorities in Somaliland for their actions against the legitimate government of Somalia. |

BBC News report from Somalia "As you can see behind me the refugees flee from the attack made Yesterday by the separatist authorities in Somaliland against the autonomy seeking faction in control of neighbouring Maakhir, the attack came Yesterday with soldiers and tanks from Somaliland crossing the border into territory held by Maakhiri forces. The defence forces in the area were undermanned and quickly fell back in the wake of the advance, the Somaliland forces then proceeded to bombard the town of Engavo, resulting in dozens of civilian deaths and the Maakhiri government had been evacuated of military forces as soon as the enemy attacked, Somaliland disputes this claim... OOC: Sorry if this doesn't seem very good but it is hard to write a battle when one side has run away as its tactic. Edited by Russian Federation, Nov 2 2008, 02:06 AM.

OOC: OK, then if Sweden agrees that the Maakir side isn't doing anything we can go back to peace time for a while. |
