Canada's national passenger rail company, VIA Rail, has drawn up plans to a high-speed rail system stretching from Windsor to Quebec City via London, Kitchener, Brantford, Hamilton, Toronto, Oshawa, Cobourg, Trenton, Belleville, Kingston, Cornwall, Montreal and Trois-Rivieres. Also included is a separate line from Kingston to Ottawa via Smith's Falls, and higher-speed feeder lines connecting Peterborough, Niagara Falls, St. Catherines, Sarnia, Barrie and Sherbrooke to the system. |
