Halonen and Rasmussen in Helsinki The President has met today with Denmark's Prime Minister to discuss the creation of a new low-cost, low-polluting automobile company, named "Tansuo Motors". The company will be partially owned by Copenhagen and Helsinki, as well as a handful of Danish and Finnish private investors. The first foundry will be built in Kuusankoski, where industry is prominent. Finland is hopeful to see the first car speed off the assembly line in early 2009. Finnish word for Nordic? Today Ms. Halonen requested that the Nordic Council accept Finnish as one of the Official Languages of the organization. Currently, only Norwegian, Swedish and Danish are accepted.
