The Canadian Security and Intelligence Service is the intelligence organization is Canada's primary security service, and it specializes in national security investigations and surveillance. CSIS works internationally to provide information to the Canadian Government and armed forces, with a special focus on Western Europe, the United States, Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as Canada itself. The organization was formed in July 1984. |
