While Nuclear technology may look nice and flashy and seem to be the best thing ever there are several reasons why in game and in real life nations avoid it. Weapons: The most obvious reason for this is the fact that the US will likely invade you or the rest of the UNSC because you have just breached an in game UNSC resolution that we all take quite seriously, even if outright invasion is not done the sanctions which will be applied will cripple any nations economy within a few weeks. Power: The first reason is again the US may invade you this really depends on how much they like you. Another reason however is that alot of Nuclear reactors make a very good target for "world events" which may involve terreorists, accidents and meltdowns. Ther most important reason however is that most nations publics have a fear of Nuclear power and will likely do some form of large protests, this will badly affect your nation. Also you will have to say how you are gettiong rid of the Nuclear waste materials. |
